In Pokémon GO the “Let’s GO” event is currently running, but before it ends, you should definitely make use of a few contents. We at MeinMMO will show you which ones they are and why it is worth it.
What event is it about? The “Let’s GO” event is currently taking place in Pokémon GO. While it was mainly about Ditto, Meltan, and the regional Pokémon Vegimak, Grillmak, and Sodamak, Team Rocket took over the game over the weekend and brought additional bonuses.
You should definitely make use of 4 of them before they are no longer available after the end of the Rocket takeover and the end of the “Let’s GO” event.
How much time do you have left? The contents of the “Let’s GO” event and the Rocket takeover are available until March 29, 2023, at 8:00 PM local time.
1. Activate Wonder Box
What is the Wonder Box? The Wonder Box is a special item that you receive by connecting with the “Let’s GO” games for the Nintendo Switch or the smartphone app “Pokémon Home”. When you activate it, wild Meltan spawn from a kind of smoke for an hour.

Why is it worth it? Meltan, the steel Pokémon from the 7th generation of games, can only be caught by activating the Wonder Box, except for special research. But during the event, you should not miss this opportunity, as it is only available in its shiny form until March 29.
In addition, you can currently open the Wonder Box more often than usual. After the event, you will only receive the normal Meltan from the box again. When the shiny will be available again is currently uncertain.
2. Unlearn Frustration
What is Frustration? Frustration is a charged attack that all crypto-Pokémon automatically possess after being caught and cannot simply be changed. However, during the event, you have the temporary opportunity to do just that by teaching your desired Cryptos the attack using a Charged TM or Elite Charged TM.
Why is it worth it? Crypto-Pokémon have an attack bonus compared to “normal” Pokémon, which can be particularly useful in raids. For this reason, you should also prefer not to purify Crypto-Pokémon.
However, the Frustration attack is not particularly strong. Therefore, it makes sense to unlearn this attack from strong attackers and instead focus on a better moveset to be more effective in battle.

3. Defeat plenty of Rocket bosses
Who is it about? In Pokémon GO, Team GO Rocket has been causing trouble since the Rocket takeover. This is a perfect opportunity to track down and fight the Rocket bosses Arlo, Sierra, and Cliff. Thanks to the event, they can now be found much more quickly. This is especially due to a short-term new Rocket feature.
This way, you can collect mysterious parts for further Rocket Radars through field research or the special research “From the Shadows”, even with an existing Rocket Radar. However, the grunts also appear more frequently at stops and in balloons, so you can collect mysterious parts more quickly that way as well.

Why is it worth it? Unlike the grunts, it is a bit harder to encounter the bosses. However, due to the event bonuses, you will now receive a radar more quickly and can track them down that way. Once you have finally met and fought them, in addition to the usual rewards, you can also look forward to a special 12 km egg that you exclusively get from these battles.
The special thing is: Some of these eggs hatch monsters that you previously couldn’t obtain in the game in other ways. Therefore, it is worth collecting and hatching as many of them as possible.
But that’s not all. After the battle, you will have the chance to catch one of the new crypto-Pokémon. With a little luck, you might encounter a shiny Crypto-Teddiursa, Crypto-Kramurx, or Crypto-Larvitar.

4. Catch regional monsters
Which monsters is it about? Until March 29, regional Pokémon Vegimak, Grillmak, and Sodamak spawn in Pokémon GO. You should definitely secure them, as they will return to their original regions after the event, so you can only obtain them through longer travels, except for Grillmak. Vegimak can usually only be found in Asia and the Pacific region, while Sodamak is found in America and Greenland.

Why is catching worth it? Besides the fact that you can secure Vegimak and Sodamak once more to register them in your Pokédex, you can also catch the monsters as shiny with a bit of luck. Since they are only regionally available, this will be the last opportunity for the time being to secure a shiny specimen.
In addition, you should make use of the wild spawns to collect the corresponding candies, so you can register their evolutions in your Pokédex as well. To evolve each, you will need an Einall stone as well as 50 candies.
More contents you can still use
Candy bonus: The event could also be a good opportunity for some to clean out their Pokémon bag. With the candy bonus, you will receive double candies when sending your monsters.
Encounters with Ditto: The transforming Pokémon Ditto appears more often in the game during the event and now hides behind other monsters. Since one can catch the Pokémon in its shiny form with a bit of luck, the numerous encounters are a good opportunity to meet one.

Collector’s challenge: On the occasion of the “Let’s GO” event, a small collector’s challenge is active in the game. You can find this in the “Today” view. To complete it, you only need to catch a Ditto, Vegimak, Grillmak, and Sodamak each. As a reward, you will receive an encounter with Meltan, 5,000 XP, and a medal for the collector’s challenge.
So it can be easily completed on the side. But don’t forget to pick up the rewards on time before the end of the event, or you will lose them.
