What kind of event is this? Every Tuesday evening, a Spotlight Hour starts in Pokémon GO. For the duration of one hour, a selected Pokémon is in the spotlight. This means you will find it almost everywhere in the wild. The whole thing is accompanied by a bonus to make the Spotlight Hour more appealing.

Spotlight Hour with Leufeo – Start, Shiny, and Bonuses
When does the event start? The Spotlight Hour begins today, February 1st, at 6:00 PM local time. You can play the event for one hour until it ends at 7:00 PM.
These are the bonuses: During the event, you will find Leufeo almost everywhere in the wild. If you want even more spawns, light a incense. It will mostly attract Leufeo.
As a bonus, you will receive double the amount of experience points for evolving Pokémon. So it’s worth it to search your collection beforehand and mark Pokémon you want to evolve. Especially if you still need to gather XP, you can easily increase it this way. This is how much XP you need from Level 41 to Level 50.
Is there Shiny Leufeo? Yes, since the start of the Lunar New Year in Pokémon GO, you can catch Leufeo for the first time in its shiny form. So you have the chance during the Spotlight Hour as well.
Is the Spotlight Hour today with Leufeo worth it?
For whom is it worth it? If you are still in the leveling process and gathering experience points, you can take advantage of the evolution bonus and use it to help you a bit.
Leufeo and its evolution Pyroleo are not really useful in trainer battles. There are simply stronger representatives that have significantly better chances in battle. Even in PvE, that is, in raids, Leufeo and Pyroleo don’t really have much to say. So use the Spotlight Hour mainly to fill your PokéDex and, if lucky, catch shinies.
