The spirit form of Cupidos makes its debut in Pokémon GO. Along with it, there are also 2 other monsters that you can obtain more easily as Shiny.
When is this event? The raid day featuring the spirit form of Cupidos takes place on Saturday, February 14, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
While the incarnate form of Cupido has been in the game for a while, the spirit form will be available in the game for the first time on raid day. We will show you how to ideally utilize the 3 hours if you want to make the most of the event.
Raid Day with Cupidos – Content and Tips
What bonuses are there for the event? Within the 3 hours, the following bonuses are active:
- You can receive 5 additional free raid passes at gyms
- Increased Shiny chance for Liebiskus (1-star raids) and Coiffwaff (3-star raids)
- Increased remote raid limit of 20 (from Saturday, February 14, 2026, at 1:00 AM to Sunday, February 15, 2026, at 4:00 AM)
You can only obtain the additional raid passes individually. If you are already level 75 in the current GO Pass, you can receive one additional raid pass every day.
What content is available with the event ticket? For €5.49, you can purchase a ticket for the event. The following additional bonuses await you, which will be active during the 3 hours of the event:
- 8 additional raid passes through gyms
- Increased chance of receiving special XL candies after raids
- 50% more experience for successful raid battles
- Double amount of stardust for successful raid battles
How should I approach the event? On raid day, you should proceed as follows to make optimal use of the free raid passes:
- Visit a gym and defeat Cupidos
- Spin the gym disc to receive a new raid pass
- Head to the next gym
If you are satisfied with your haul of Cupidos, you can also jump into the 1 and 3-star raids to challenge Liebiskus or Coiffwaff. Both monsters have an increased Shiny chance during the event.
What counters are effective? Cupidos has the types Fairy and Flying. This makes it weak against attacks from the types Poison, Rock, Steel, Electric, and Ice. So you should primarily focus on attackers with these types to defeat Cupidos in its spirit form. We have the suitable counter Pokémon listed here for you.
If you have strong counter monsters at high levels, you can already take down the boss with just two trainers. If your counters are not optimal, it would be better to rely on more trainers.
Which Mega Evolution is suitable for the event? If you are not using a Mega Evolution for the fight itself, you can take a suitable evolution with you in your team to gain more experience points and candies for Cupidos.
For this, you need to select a Mega Evolution that is also of the type Fairy or Flying. Therefore, you can rely on one of the following evolutions:
- Mega Charizard Y
- Mega Pidgeot

- Mega Aerodactyl
- Mega Gardevoir

Which buddy is worthwhile? With some monsters, you need to meet specific requirements while having the Pokémon as a buddy in order to evolve it. For these two monsters, there is such a condition that you can work on during the raid day:
- Hisui-Baldorfish to Myriador (win 10 raids)
- Galar-Makabaja to Oghnatoll (win 10 raids)
