In Pokémon GO, the event “Replay: GOgantischer” is starting. It gives you a chance to catch Venusaur, Charizard, Blastoise, and Gengar in their Gigantamax form.
When is the event? Replay: GOgantischer starts on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at 2:00 PM. It will last for three hours, until 5:00 PM.
The title Replay
comes from the fact that there was already an event titled GOgantischer
. However, it’s quite possible that you missed it back then or did not have the necessary counters to challenge the powerful Giga-Pokémon. Now there is a new opportunity for everyone who wants to secure the four Kanto monsters in their Giga form.
Which Pokémon will appear? You will encounter Gigantamax Venusaur, Charizard, Blastoise, and Gengar. They all also have a chance to appear as Shiny. However, this chance is not increased.
What you need to consider: All four monsters belong to the Gigantamax bosses, which currently represent the toughest challenge in Pokémon GO. They all require many trainers to confront them together. So definitely find a group that reliably brings the right counters and can strategically take on the monsters.

- And here are the best counters against Gigantamax-Gengar.
What should I consider when battling?
Here are some tips to consider during the Gigantamax event.
- Again: You definitely need many trainers. Expect that you need at least 10 trainers, if not more, unless you have really extremely strong Dynamax and Gigantamax Pokémon ready. The weaker the Pokémon, the more trainers you will need.
- Use King Zacian, King Zamazenta, Endynalos: These three Pokémon have special adventure effects that you can utilize. You can increase the attacks, defense, or Dynamax attack levels of your battling Pokémon.
- Remote Raids: It is possible to participate in Gigantamax battles via remote raid passes or invite other players to join. This is a good option if you lack local players. However, remember that you need coins to use the remote raid passes.
- Use Campfire: With the Campfire app, you can find groups nearby that want to participate in the event.
- Fight strategically: Keep in mind that Dynamax battles consist of more than just attacks. Organize well within your group and assign roles for dealing damage, and for protection and healing.
- Save your charge attacks: Generally, it is worth using only quick attacks against the bosses and load the Dynamax meter that way. Charge attacks usually do not deal enough HP damage but take longer than quick attacks – a waste of time.
What bonuses can you take advantage of during Replay: GOgantischer?
There is a whole list of bonuses you can utilize during the event. One of them is the availability of battles: You will encounter Gigantamax Pokémon at every energy source. Additionally, more energy sources are active, and they regenerate more frequently.
In addition, the following bonuses apply:
- The limit for Dynamax particles is increased to 1,600.
- You will receive eight times the amount of Dynamax particles from energy sources.
- Walking will yield double the amount of Dynamax particles.
- The walking distance for particles is reduced to a quarter.
- You can make up to three special trades.
- The remote raid limit is increased from 10 to 20.
