In Pokémon GO the worldwide Unova Tour 2025 is coming up. We show you all the information about the first major event of this year.
What is the Unova Tour? The GO Tour has been the second largest Pokémon GO event of the year for several years, after the GO Fest. It always revolves around a specific region from the Pokémon games. This year we will get the already fifth GO Tour: Unova.
When will the worldwide Unova Tour take place? The worldwide GO Tour: Unova will take place on March 1 and 2, 2025. It will run on both days from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Already the weekend before, there will be a locally limited version of the event. It will take place from February 21 to 23 in New Taipei and Los Angeles.

Unova Tour worldwide – What’s it about?
Do I need a ticket? Generally not, many bonuses are simply available for free. However, there will be some bonuses that can only be unlocked with the new “Tour Pass” in the shop. Additionally, there is a ticket for a Masterwork Research.

The highlights of the Unova Tour
The most important contents of the Unova Tour are as follows:
- The black and white Kyurem will appear through fusion for the first time in Pokémon GO.
- There will be a special research during the event.
- They will appear in Level 5 raids.
- Both fusion forms will receive special attacks.

- Zekrom and Reshiram can be caught in raids.
- The Shiny version of Buneary will appear for the first time in various habitats that change hourly.
- Maracamba, Symvolara, and Bisofank will hatch from 10 km eggs, and they can also be shiny.
- You can receive special backgrounds when catching Level 5 bosses.
- Regional Pokémon from Generation 5 will appear in the wild. These are Vegimak, Sodamak, and Grillmak.
- Additional regionals will be in 5 km eggs. These are Jiutesto, Karadonis, Furnifraß, and Fermicula.
- You can also find these four through Team Play tasks.
- Barschuft Rotlining and Blaulinig will appear more frequently on routes.
- There are four different costumed Pikachu in the habitats, raids, and research.
- Incognito A, N, O, U, and V will appear when you use incense.

During the event, the following applies:
- Half hatching distance for all eggs that you place in incubators during the event
- No remote raid limit
- Up to 6 special trades per day
- Half Stardust costs for trading

Contents that are not free
A Masterwork Research with Meloetta will be available through the shop. Here you can get Shiny Meloetta for the first time. The ticket is already available from the “Path to Unova” event. This starts on February 24.
The second is the Tour Pass in Pokémon GO. It works somewhat like a Battle Pass. There is also a free and a paid version here. Both will be available from February 24.
You need to progress in the game to collect various rewards. These include Pokémon encounters, candies, balls, stickers, avatar items, and a special Pokémon encounter at certain milestones. The highlight of the paid version is the Lucky Charm, an item that guarantees you a lucky Pokémon. Additionally, Victini is available in the pass.
