The Pokémon GO players can rejoice! After a long wait, you can finally expand your Pokémon storage to 2000.
For a long time, Pokémon GO players have demanded it and it has finally been implemented! The storage limit for Pokémon has been increased to 2000. Many players can now finally catch Pokémon without the annoying need to send them away.
Expand storage limit in the shop
Until now, you could carry a maximum of 1500 Pokémon at the same time. This limit has now been raised to 2000.
Announced months ago: Niantic announced months ago that they would increase the limit to 2000 slots. However, this never happened and players had to wait. Now the announcement has finally been implemented.
How can you increase your storage? As usual, you can expand your storage limit in the shop. 50 new Pokémon slots cost 200 coins. So if you want all 500 new slots, you have to invest 2000 coins.
What do you need 2000 Pokémon for? For many players, 2000 Pokémon in the bag is too much. Other trainers collect multiple Pokémon of each species. If you want to have the male and female form of each Pokémon, plus Pokémon with high IV and various Shinys, you quickly reach the maximum. These trainers can breathe a sigh of relief now.
How does the community react?
On Reddit, various players shared their joy over this expansion. They had been waiting for the expansion for months, which is now finally available.
- The user “ZGLayr” wrote: “I have never spent 2000 coins so quickly” referring to the 500 new slots that cost a total of 2000 coins.
- “luxzg” added to the comment: “I feel the same way! Best Pokémon GO day in the last 2.5 years!”
- The user “Regidragon” even went further and wrote: “Best Pokémon GO day of my life!”
Great joy: The joy over the expansion is huge and even overshadows the new Community Day for December, which was by far not celebrated as much as the expansion of the Pokémon Box.
