A data miner has found a special Pandir form in the code of Pokémon GO that has a heart on its body, which is why players are thinking about the Valentine’s Day event.

A few days ago, text fragments of new Pandir forms were discovered and now the sprite of one of the forms has appeared. This Pandir has a heart on its body. Additionally, the shiny version of the Pokémon was discovered.
What we know about the new Pandir
This is how it looks: So far, 8 forms of the Pokémon have been found. Each form has a different pattern, which makes them distinguishable.

This is what makes the shiny special: The data miner also found the shiny form of the Pokémon, which not only differs in color. The shiny form has a broken heart on its body, while the normal Pandir has a complete heart.
This could be the reason: On Reddit, many players are already discussing what this special Pandir might mean. Many trainers are sure: it has to do with the Valentine’s Day event.
Niantic has already confirmed such an event for 2019, but did not mention which Pokémon will be affected. A Pandir that carries a heart would fit very well into such an event.
How do you catch Pandir? Each of the current Pandir forms can only be caught in quests. They are neither found in the wild nor in raids. Therefore, it is quite possible that the heart Pandir will also be introduced through field research.
The current quest for a Pandir is “Land 5 great curveball throws in a row” and rewards players with Pandir number 5.
When will we know more? Valentine’s Day is on February 14. Until February 13, the Lunar New Year event will be running in Pokémon GO. It is quite possible that something related to Valentine’s Day will start immediately afterwards. However, this is not confirmed.
