When does the raid day with Cupidos take place? The raid day takes place on February 14th – that is, on Valentine’s Day. The event runs from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
What kind of Pokémon is this? Cupidos is a legendary Pokémon that combines the types Fairy and Flying. The new form now appearing is the Spirit Animal form
, which resembles a turtle. This completes the group Incarnations of Nature
, consisting of Boreos, Voltolos, Demeteros, and Cupidos.
Cupidos is known as the Pokémon of love. Therefore, the timing on Valentine’s Day also fits perfectly. We already know this from the last Cupidos form. However, the new Cupidos will not appear in top-raids, but in regular 5-star raids. It will therefore be easier to catch. We will summarize how the event works and whether it is worth it here for you.
Raid Day with Cupidos – All Content and Bonuses
The event is not only about Cupidos, but also about the Pokémon Liebiskus and Coiffwaff. They are also in raids. All bonuses of the event:
- Cupidos appears in level-5 raids.
- You will receive up to five additional free raid passes from gyms – but only after the last one has been used up.
- You will have an increased shiny chance for Liebiskus and Coiffwaff from raids. They will also appear in raids.
- You can change Coiffwaff’s form to the Heartcut during the event through form change.
- The remote raid limit will be increased from 1:00 AM on February 14th to 4:00 AM on February 15th to 20.
Important: The new Cupidos form cannot actually appear as shiny. You should keep this in mind.
In addition, there is an event ticket in the shop that costs $4.99 (approximately similar in euros) and brings up to eight additional raid passes when spinning the gym, as well as additional bonuses. However, the ticket is optional; the previously mentioned bonuses are also available without it.
Is the raid day with Cupidos in the Spirit Animal form worth it?
Essentially, this is a new Pokémon that you can add to your collection. Just for the Pokédex, it is worth it.
However, the incarnation form of Cupidos is currently the stronger monster. So you shouldn’t expect a particularly strong attacker for your teams when you catch the new Cupidos. Furthermore, the new Cupidos cannot be shiny. This may also be a disappointment for collectors. Those on a shiny hunt should rather use the raid passes for Liebiskus or Coiffwaff after the first Cupidos.
If you already own the incarnation form Cupidos, the new raid day is a good opportunity to collect candy for it. The candies can be used for both forms.
