In Pokémon GO brings March some new events and monsters. Some Pokémon are only available for a limited time, so you should mark some dates in your calendar.
What is happening in Pokémon GO right now? Pokémon GO started its new season “Rising Heroes” on March 1st. This brought a few new features, such as the release of Gierspenst in Pokémon GO, but will distribute more events over the calendar in the course of time. The season runs until June 1, 2023.
However, March is first on the agenda, and some content has already been announced for this month. Collectors should keep their eyes open, as during some of the March events of Pokémon GO, there are Pokémon that should be secured in time – otherwise it will become harder or, in the worst case, impossible to get them again.

Which Pokémon GO dates should you take advantage of in March?
Here we show you 5 Pokémon arranged by dates that you should catch in time before they disappear again or are expected to become harder to get.
1. Spotlight Hour with Evoli
When is the Spotlight Hour with Evoli? On March 7, 2023
What should I secure? In general, Evoli is no longer a particularly rare Pokémon, but still popular. It has a whole range of evolutions that you should secure for the Pokédex.
The Spotlight Hour is the ideal opportunity to secure some strong Evoli specimens and the necessary candy for the evolutions. By the way, when you unlock an evolution for the first time, you can specifically choose it with the evolution tricks for Evoli. Each trick works only once – thereafter the evolution is left to chance or certain evolution factors.
Also for trainers who are on the way to Level 42 (or at least planning it in the long term), collecting Evoli is worth it. For level 42, you need to evolve Evoli into all its evolutions – and given the random factor, you’ll need a lot of Evoli.
2. Color Festival with Shiny Farbeagle
When does the Color Festival take place? From March 8 to March 14, 2023
What should I secure? At the top of the list is Shiny Farbeagle. Although it has been available as Shiny before, its Shiny version has not been consistently available since its debut like with other monsters.
The shimmering variant of the paint monster cannot currently be obtained until the Color Festival in Pokémon GO starts. And even afterwards, the shiny Pokémon will disappear again – until the next event, where the variant will be activated.
If you have not yet been able to collect Shiny Farbeagle, you should try to get it during the Color Festival. To do this, you have to take snapshots and hope that Farbeagle will be attracted by them – and then also be shiny.
Additionally, during the event, Mega-Meditalis and the new Pokémon Knirfish will be introduced to the game. As Mega monsters rotate and not much is known about the spawns after the event, you should also secure them just in case you are aiming for a full Pokédex.
3. Top Raids with Regieleki and Regidrago
When do the Top Raids take place in March? On March 11, 2023.
What should I secure? Regieleki and Regidrago are the new bosses in the Top Raids, following the unleashed Hoopa. These raids are extremely difficult to accomplish, as you need a lot of trainers to defeat them, and you cannot participate in the Top Raids via remote raid.
You should therefore note down the date and ideally aim for an area with many gyms and trainers, such as large cities – at least if you want to have both Regis for the Pokédex.

Is there still a chance? Yes, on April 9, the two will come back to the Top Raids, so a little less than a month later. But afterwards, according to Niantic, they will not be available in this season – at least until June.
4. Community Day with both Shiny-Flegmon & Galar-Lahmus
When does the Community Day take place? On March 18, 2023.
What should I secure? As always, the Community Day is a great opportunity to secure the shiny variant of a Pokémon. However, the Community Day with Flegmon is exciting, as it marks the debut of a new shiny variant with Galar-Flegmon in Pokémon GO.
Catching is worthwhile, as Flegmon and Galar-Flegmon each have two evolutions: Lahmus and Laschoking, or their special Galar variants.
Another advantage of the Community Day: For Galar-Lahmus, you normally need to collect 30 poison Pokémon when you have Galar-Flegmon as your buddy to evolve it. However, during the Community Day, this requirement will change to “psychic” Pokémon.
For Galar-Laschoking, you still need to collect 30 psychic Pokémon, and this remains the case during the event. This is convenient, as Flegmon will be abundant in the wild on that day. Thus, evolving both variants will be easier to achieve than usual.
Bonus: The next Rocket Takeover
When does the next Rocket Takeover take place? Between March 21 and March 29.
What should I secure? This entry is somewhat understood differently: Remember the date of the Rocket Takeover, as the current Rocket teams may be shuffled again.
If that is the case, you should secure a strong Crypto-Tanhel from Sierra by then. It can be transformed into Crypto-Metagross, one of the best attackers in Pokémon GO. It is also assumed that during this time, you can forget “frustration,” as with previous Rocket Takeovers.
However, no details about the next Rocket Takeover are known yet – only that there will be a new takeover as part of the “Everyday Hero” event, which runs between March 21 and March 29.
