The Pokémon community has probably been creating their own monsters since the beginning of the game series. However, a new legendary Pokémon arose from a TikTok video full of swim rings, which has captured the hearts of fans.
What is Regitube? In a TikTok video, the company The Tube Shack posts a video showing a person putting on many blue swim rings and moving in the homemade armor. The video, with 3.8 million views, is a viral hit, and the comments are full of comparisons to Pokémon, especially to the Regis.
The legendary Regis have been part of the games since Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire and have irregularly gained new additions. Most recently in Pokémon Sword and Shield with Regieleki and Regidrago. The video inspired the community to a new addition named Regitube.

Pokémon has been warmly received, and artworks in classic Pokémon style were created. The Pokémon has even been modeled by fans for a Pokémon game and transported into the remakes of Diamond and Pearl, with its own boss music and a Regi-typical scream:

If many fans are already dissatisfied with the official Pokémon designs, then community-created fake Pokémon brighten the everyday life for many and stimulate fans’ imagination. Regitube shows how the community collaborates even on silly stories like the creation of a swim ring Pokémon.
