If looting in Arc Raiders feels slower to you, it’s no coincidence. Players have discovered that they are picking up their loot more slowly. The developers have reacted and explained what is going on.
What is the problem? On Reddit and in the shooter’s Discord, some players are complaining that the looting speed has been slowed down. One user writes, for example, that he is using the same skills as always but is slower in reaching his loot. Other players have made the same observation as he did.
According to some users, the pickup speed is said to be even 30% longer, even with active skills that are supposed to increase the speed.
This raised the big question of whether it is a bug or a planned nerf. In the Reddit forum, one player writes that he hopes it is just a bug. He is annoyed when there are undisclosed nerfs. If something is changed about the skills, the users should be informed about it in the patch notes.
Fortunately, the developers have reacted and explained what exactly is behind the slower looting.
Developers confirm that you are not just imagining the slow looting
What did the developers respond? On Discord, players have pointed out this and many other problems that have appeared after the patch. There are not only difficulties with the looting speed but also with the firing rate of different weapons.
Community admin Ossen confirmed that the firing rate is actively being investigated. Community manager Birdie took on the looting speed and explained to another user that the team is aware that this problem currently exists. However, it is not intended.
This means that it is not a nerf, but a bug that will eventually be fixed in the future. When this problem will be fixed is still unclear.
Which patch are we even talking about? The latest patch brought update 1.13.0 into the game and runs under the title Headwinds. The biggest new feature is a mode where players from level 40 compete against each other in matchmaking. Additionally, there is now a trophy display, a new map situation called Bird City, and some fresh items and quests.
Meanwhile, the developers have also revealed what players of the shooter can expect in 2026. However, keep in mind that it is still possible that some of the content may be pushed to later dates.
