In Elden Ring: Nightreign, tough bosses are the order of the day and losses happen regularly. One player did not let that deter him and found a strategy to send one of the hardest bosses to the afterlife with a single shot.
Which boss is meant? Many know him as Fulghor, the centaur with iron armor and a thundering sword. What makes this fellow so difficult, you ask? Go ahead and try him out, because a duel with him is never boring.
He leaps through the map like a frog, covers everything with lightning, has an aggressive melee style, and when he has had enough of you, he briefly deploys an electric atomic bomb to make the entire arena explode – so he is not to be trifled with. Especially not when you challenge him in his new darkness version.
While many fans fail against this boss, one player was able to prove that you can even take down the toughest boss with just one shot; you just need a bit of luck.
A Miracle Weapon in the Form of a Sword
What is your luck dependent on? It is mainly about finding a special weapon, namely the greatsword of transplantation. This sword, as we reported before, is one of the best weapons in Elden Ring: Nightreign. When you kill an opponent, you receive a 0.5% buff on each of your HP, FP, stamina, and damage, as well as 1% on your resistances. It is important to mention that you lose the buff if you go down.
To demonstrate how powerful this sword and its effect are, Reddit user Extension-Leg5493 shared a video. He spawns in the arena of Fulghor equipped with his Iron Eye and the greatsword. As the boss prepares for battle, the user activates his ultimate and sends the boss to the afterlife with a single shot.
Many users in the comments are astonished and confused at the same time because they cannot comprehend what is happening in the video and how the player can be so powerful. But it all has to do with the sword. To make the best use of the weapon and its buff, you need to kill many opponents without going down yourself. However, due to the storm, that is a challenge… unless you are lucky with the bosses.
Extension-Leg5493 himself claims he was lucky because he got the sword and was able to fight the worm face (that is the boss that covers the map with death plague and always summons minions).
If you can get him or Freja, the Duke’s beloved, on nights 1 or 2, you stand a good chance of making your character just as powerful.
What should I keep in mind with the sword? When you obtain the sword, you just need to have it equipped – it is enough if you are not even wielding the sword, you still receive the buff. Additionally, as mentioned, you must not go down. Every respawn resets your progress on the buff.
Obtaining such a large buff as Extension-Leg5493 achieved is difficult to attain. You not only need the luck to get the weapon, but also the luck to encounter a boss during the nights that can summon endless minions.
All in all, however, this is a strategy that every player can pursue. Especially for soloists, this is a strong option, as it makes every boss a child’s play.
