On January 24, 2025, Palworld released the new update to version 0.4.14. The fresh patch brings an event for the Spring Festival, balance adjustments, and bug fixes.
What is the Spring Festival? The Spring Festival (roughly Spring Festival
in German) is an in-game event in Palworld. With this event, a total of five new skins for Pals are released:
- Lucky Cattiva
- Fortune-Bringer Lyleen
- Fortune-Bringer Lyleen Noct
- Lion-Dancer Chillet
- Lion-Dancer Chillet Ignis
To use the skins, you must have caught the corresponding base Pals. Where you can find Cattiva, Lyleen, Lyleen Noct, Chillet, and Chillet Ignis in the world of Palworld, you can check in our overview of all Pals.
Currently, it is unclear whether the skins are only available during the Spring Festival or longer. It is also unknown whether you can only receive (and keep) the skins if you log in during the event.

Big Pals on Narrow Paths – The Gameplay Adjustments in Update 0.4.14
What adjustments are in the patch? Besides the Spring Festival and the visible changes in the game, there are also some changes, including balance adjustments. These specific gameplay adjustments are in the patch:
- When you summon Pals again, they directly attack the opponent that is closest to you.
- Large Pals now behave like small Pals. This allows them to get through narrow passages in the world and collide less often with things like ceilings.
- The Mammorest Cryst now has the earth element.
- Killamari now has the water element and can perform the action
Watering
at the base.
Further balance adjustments:
- The power consumption of the large electric egg boiler has been reduced, and the energy storage in the battery has been significantly increased.
- The range of the targeting area near the crosshair when targeting the same opponent has been increased.
- A bug has been fixed where the stamina of some buddies was different between normal buddies and alpha buddies.
- The rewards from the treasure chest of the large drilling platform have been adjusted, and the unusual plasma cannon blueprint has been removed.
- The distance at which the damage of the advanced bow drops has been increased by 1.5.
- The amount of Pal steel required to craft weapons and armor has been reduced.
- The production speed of crude oil from the crude oil extractor has been increased.
- The speed of crude oil extraction in the research lab has been increased.
- The durability of weapons and armor that can be crafted with certain blueprints has been increased (the durability of already crafted equipment remains unchanged, so initially, it may seem that durability has decreased).
What bugs have been fixed? In addition to gameplay adjustments, developer Pocket Pair also states that there have been some bug fixes that are being implemented with patch 0.4.14:
- The game crashed when a Pal with four negative passive abilities was given treatment by Dr. Brawn.
- A bug has been fixed that caused the
NEW
indicator in the building UI to not disappear when starting a new save. - A problem has also been resolved that caused the treasure chest in the drilling platform to not reappear.
- A bug has also been fixed that sometimes caused the workbench effect to persist.
- A bug has also been fixed that allowed PS5 players to join Xbox games. This feature is currently in development and was accidentally released.
- A problem has been fixed where some terrains disappeared.
The patch follows the last major content update Feybreak and the announcement of the rough roadmap for Palworld in 2025.
