Just in time for the holidays, Palworld is releasing Update 0.7 and aims to shine with quality of life adjustments: There are improved melee combats, new content for the building mode, and modding is supposed to get easier.
What are the highlights of Update 0.7? Patch 0.7 for Palworld comes with longer patch notes. Included are a whole lot of adjustments for the building mode. Certain building parts are now supposed to be paintable. Furthermore, there should now be much more freedom in design. For this, the team has implemented triangular components.
Melee combats are now also supposed to run better, which is good: with Patch 0.7 there is a new raid boss. The boss enemies can now also be taken to dedicated raid arenas. Previously, they had to be summoned in your own base and then defeated there.
In addition, there are also updates for modders, an experimental PvP mode, and a new collaboration with the early access shooter Ultrakill.
Easier modding and new collab outfits
What’s also included? In addition to updates for the building mode, combat adjustments, and the raid boss, there are a few more new features. Among them is the unlocking of the Steam Workshop. This should make sharing and using mods easier.
On top comes a new collaboration with the early access shooter Ultrakill: 0.7 implements weapons and armors from the game as well as a coin toss emote.
For PvP players, there are now also experimental new features. Fully integrating PvP into Palworld is claimed by the developers to be difficult in the patch notes. However, they have now implemented all the necessary tools for players to set their own PvP rules. They warn of balancing issues.
The full patch notes can be found on page 2.
When will Palworld finally be released? Currently, it is not yet known exactly when Palworld will be released in its final 1.0 version. Recently, the developers stated, that they are aiming for 2026. Version 0.7 is also said by the developers to lay the groundwork for it.
In addition, there is also the ongoing lawsuit with Nintendo over allegedly violated patents by Palworld. Although this is currently taking place in Japan, there have been recent developments in the United States. There, Nintendo is currently trying to secure new patents. An originally newly approved patent has now been re-evaluated.
