A new game mode has been announced for Palworld, which reminds fans of a Pokémon game.
What kind of mode is this? The new game mode in Palworld is called Palworld Arena and allows trainers to compete in PvP battles against other players. Of course, trainers do not have to fight alone; in the teaser, everyone has 3 Pals by their side to assist them.
But trainers also cannot just stand around and watch once again. As is customary in Palworld, trainers will be able to take up arms themselves and fight alongside their rival in the duel.
On X (formerly Twitter), the official account of Palworld writes that you should train the strongest Pals to defeat your rivals. So, the training and improvement of Pals could also be enhanced.

Fans are once again finding a comparison to Pokémon
What have the fans found? The teaser for Palworld Arena strongly resembles Pokémon Stadium, the very game that brought Pokémon from 2D to 3D in the 90s. Many Pokémon fans have been waiting for years for a new installment in the series. The last installment of Pokémon Stadium was released in 2000 for the N64.
Palworld Arena and Pokémon Stadium share several similarities:
- In both games, trainers pit monsters against each other
- Both games or game modes take place in an arena
- In both, trainers can train the monsters beforehand, even if this was not directly part of the game in Pokémon Stadium.
Did Palworld simply copy Pokémon Stadium? Palworld is already doing some things differently with Palworld Arena. In Pokémon Stadium, neither the trainers participate in the fights, nor do six monsters battle against each other at the same time.
Pokémon Stadium was like a Pokémon game that only focuses on arena battles and also features turn-based attacks and the option to switch Pokémon. In Palworld, the battles take place in real-time and trainers are allowed to join in. Palworld is taking its own path here, even though the renewed similarity to Pokémon cannot be denied.
Not much is known about the new mode yet, but it is expected to be released this summer.
