In the MMO shooter Destiny the raid King’s Fall is full of loot. But what drops where?

The raid King’s Fall has been open in normal mode for a while now, and the Guardians have thoroughly plundered it. But what drops where? Which boss has the good loot? Where can you find the raid primary weapons? Is there an exotic chest in Redditor?

The beginning of the raid King’s Fall – What loot is there?

After the entrance phase in the raid, there is a chance in the first chest for: 1 decayed fragment, 3-7 worm spores, and an antiquated rune.

After the jump puzzle there is a “hidden chest.” It can contain the following:
2 decayed fragments, 2 syntheses, 1 light particle, 3-7 worm spores, an antiquated rune, so the yield there isn’t great.
The next reward comes from the Warpriest – that’s the one with the glyphs. There’s also a chest waiting there. It can contain: Two decayed fragments, the Kingslayer Shell ghost, the raid fusion rifle The Reckoning of Midah (we will see this more often) and an antiquated rune.

The Warpriest drops real loot for the first time

The Warpriest himself now has a real chance for loot for the first time. His loot table contains:
Two decayed fragments, the raid sniper rifle The Resistance of Yasmin, the fusion rifle The Reckoning of Midah, the machine gun Terminus of Quillim and the rocket launcher Rage of Elulim. Also the raid ghost, an antiquated rune, and an exotic engram (if 3 of the 9 coins are used). The heavy weapons are real highlights that you can loot so early in the raid.
In Golgoroth’s lair there is another hidden chest. Not particularly exciting with 2 decayed fragments, 2 syntheses, 1 light particle, 3-7 worm spores, and an antiquated rune.

Golgoroth and the exotic chest in King’s Fall

Golgoroth himself drops armor for the first time: He can drop the raid legs, raid chest, and raid arms. In addition, there is a chance for the fusion rifle The Reckoning of Midah, the raid sniper The Resistance of Yasmin and the shotgun Silence of A’Arn. Also: chances for 2 decayed fragments, an antiquated rune, and an exotic engram (if 3 of the coins are used).
The third hidden chest in the raid has a chance for an exotic item. That’s the “exotic chest” then. Furthermore, there are chances for decayed fragments, worm spores, Hadium flakes, syntheses, and an antiquated rune.

Big Papa Oryx is worth it

The encounter with the Daughters of Oryx has chances for: antiquated rune, decayed fragments, the raid class item, the fusion rifle The Reckoning of Midah, and the shotgun Silence of A’arn.

From the Shade of Oryx the chance for an exotic engram (if 3 of the coins are used).

And from Big Papa Pump himself: two decayed fragments, raid primary weapons, the raid helmet, an emblem, the ghost again, and a raid class item. In addition, an exotic item. Oryx himself is the source for the 4 primary weapons from the raid.

If you have 20 decayed fragments, Oryx drops additional loot: This does not necessarily come from the pool of Oryx items, but from that of the entire raid. So real flops can be included.

In Destiny , an exploit in the Hunter subclass Nightstalker is causing a lot of trouble. It allows them to repeatedly use their Super Shadowshot by resetting it after each shot. Bungie plans to fix the exploit, but in the meantime, players have to forgo the PvP event “Trials of Osiris.”

The community in Destiny is highly connected. There are countless YouTubers, forums, and information sources for the game. This is mostly a good thing. However, it also means: If an exploit becomes known, it spreads very quickly.

For several days now, YouTubers have been reporting on the “Shadowshot” exploit of Nightstalkers in the game. This allows them to shoot many more arrows than the game design intended.

YouTubers are posting guides for the glitch. They say it is to “raise awareness of the bug” and to “get Bungie to fix it.” However, they are surely also attracting attention to themselves and their channels. Either way: The exploit is spreading. It is unlikely that you can “accidentally trigger” the bug since you need a specific exotic item, and then you have to behave unnaturally in the game to reset the Super repeatedly.

Meanwhile, a large US site has reported on the exploit and posted a guide on how to trigger it, stating that it is easy to find online anyway.

Bungie has already announced that they will fix the exploit as soon as possible. In the meantime, the special PvP event Trials of Osiris has been put on hold. We can only urge you not to use such exploits. If you suspect other players of resorting to such means, it’s best to report them. In this form, the PvP of Destiny is simply not fun.

An update is announced for next week, with which they aim to increase the loot in the Nightfall strike. Perhaps the Nightstalker fix will already make it into this patch for Destiny, and the Trials of Osiris could start next Friday.

In Destiny, a Titan specialization, the Sunbreaker, is somewhat out of balance. This is also noted by the competition from Electronic Arts.

On the English-language Facebook page of Origin, the store of Electronic Arts, an image was posted. It says: Invulnerability rarely appears as a power-up in games today. What is your favorite? Then the list: Super Mario, Doom, Pacman, and the Sunbreaker from Destiny.

The Sunbreaker in Destiny is currently considered too strong in PvP with its hammer throw; it is overpowered. And this is after fixing a significant exploit.

In the Facebook comments, readers are amused by this jab. Origin then adds, “When you see a Sunbreaker, you have two options: run or die.” Another reader comments: “That’s not true at all. It doesn’t even become invulnerable.” The response to that: “Have you tried to take one down?”

In this video, Datto, one of the most well-known Destiny YouTubers, explains the problem with the Sunbreaker. Datto says: Everything builds up to the super, and it is indeed extremely strong. And he believes it provides higher damage reduction than other supers. But since the Sunbreaker kit is too weak outside of the super, it’s somewhat acceptable. The fact that while saying this, he racks up a 25 kill streak with the Sunbreaker, does not exactly support his arguments:

This is not the first time that another company has had a little fun at Destiny’s expense. The Red Bull campaign back then called “Dying Light” into action.

What does Bungie say about the Sunbreaker?

Bungie also has a statement on the Sunbreaker. However, it is rather vague. They acknowledge fan concerns, analyze the data, and take a close look. But they stated in the last Weekly Update that it is still too early to promise anything.

In the first week of PvP, the Sunbreaker was ranked 1 among the 9 subclasses. However, only by a narrow margin.

The Glass Needles in Destiny

Today Xur sold them for the first time in Destiny: Glass Needles. They are available in packs of 3 for 3 strange coins, 3 Light particles, and 1 exotic shard. Glass Needles can only be obtained from Xur.

With the Glass Needles, players can re-roll exotic armor pieces. This is called “Fate’s Change.” The mechanic works similarly to how it did in House of Wolves with the Reforging, which has now been removed from the game.

What changes the Glass Needle for exotic armor pieces and what doesn’t?

What changes: By playing with Fate, the values on the armor piece, such as Intellect, Discipline, or Strength, change. There can also be “new” values appearing. An armor piece that has Intellect and Strength can then become one that has Intellect and Discipline.

And the attribute nodes that can change will also change. These are marked as “random selection” in Bungie’s Armory. All except for the “named perk” (which is located at the very top left and remains fixed).

What does not change: The defense value (i.e., the Light value) remains the same; the experience points that the armor piece has remain the same, and the “fixed” perks remain. Mainly the “named” perks. Taikonaut will always retain its advantages for rocket launchers and won’t suddenly become a completely different helmet.

To re-roll the armors, you need: 1 Glass Needle, 10 armor pieces, and 250 Glimmer.

It can be seen that the reforging of exotic armor pieces is something for the “min-maxers” who want to get the most out of their guardian’s gear and who find it important not to have any “wasted” nodes on their gear or unnecessary values in Intellect, Discipline, or Strength in Destiny.

The game director of “The Taken King,” Luke Smith, claims to be completely obsessed with this type of optimization.
