The Pirate Day in World of Warcraft is getting new content. A lot of fresh dialogues suggest a new event.
Once a year, the Pirate Day takes place in World of Warcraft. On this day, all players can wander to Booty Bay and celebrate with the pirates who have conquered the bay for this day. Aside from a toy from a rare mob, there isn’t particularly much at this event – so far.
Many new dialogue lines were found in the game files of Patch 7.2.5, hinting at a fundamental overhaul of the event. It would thus be possible for the pirates to launch an actual attack on Booty Bay and ask the players for help.
Otherwise, pirates in Booty Bay – according to the dialogues – do exactly what one would expect from pirates. They tell bad puns, drink the taverns’ beer dry, and loot everything they want.
Particularly interesting: Some passages address the player as “Bloodsail Admiral.” This title is currently tied to a rather lengthy achievement. To be called Bloodsail Admiral, the “Booty Bay” faction must be set to “hostile,” and city guards must be farmed until a respectable reputation with the Bloodsail Buccaneers is achieved. Afterwards, one is of course hated in all Goblin settlements and attacked on sight there.
Whether there will be special content just for the few players who have actually managed to complete this torture of an achievement remains to be seen.
The next Pirate Day in World of Warcraft will take place only on September 19. There is still plenty of time for the developers to implement appropriate plans.
In just a few hours, the next beta of the sandbox MMORPG Life is Feudal will start. With this, you get a new chance to take a look at the online game.
Life is Feudal is a highly interesting MMORPG as it represents life in the Middle Ages and mixes survival with sandbox elements and a lot of freedom for the players. If you want to take a look at the game yourself, you have the opportunity on April 26, as this day marks the start of the next beta phase of the game. This will showcase the latest version of the title.
Sign up for the beta
To participate, you must either have been part of a previous testing phase or you can sign up on the official website for the beta. As a former tester, you are automatically included again; if you are someone who registers fresh, you will have to hope to be selected. Additionally, there is the option to purchase one of the founder packages, which also gives you access to the beta. The cheapest version costs 45 euros, while the most expensive costs 99 euros. Anyone who owns Life is Feudal: Your Own also gets a discount of 10 euros.
More testing phases planned
Life is Feudal is the MMO version of Life is Feudal: Your Own. More players can play per server, and the game world is significantly larger. The beta starting on April 26 will last for 10 days. There are plans for additional testing phases, but no dates have been set yet. A release date for the MMORPG is currently also not known.

In The Division, a hilarious video has been released: An “Irish Dance Party” is taking place in the Terminal!
Currently, not much is happening in The Division. The last content update was months ago, and the next game content is expected only in the summer. PC agents can currently test the loadouts on the public test servers, but there isn’t much left for veterans in the live game.
Nevertheless, many players continue to maintain law and order in the post-apocalyptic New York. And if you’ve ever wondered what these brave agents do late at night when you are already offline, this video provides a humorous answer:

According to agent Sheldon0044, this was his greatest moment in The Division ever. In this video, several agents are gathered in the Terminal of the operations base: in the middle, a player is dancing “Irish Dance”, while other players are standing around him clapping. A scene that you really don’t see every day.
Interestingly, the chat log from about halfway through the video shows Sheldon writing that someone should post this action on Reddit. The first response to that is: “How?” Sheldon replies that a YouTube video should be made of it. In the end, he uploaded it himself.
Although this video has only been circulating on Reddit for a few hours, it has already gathered a considerable number of upvotes in the rather dormant subreddit. One user writes that these agents really know how to party. Another jokes that this is the quality content he always comes here for.
By the way: This emote is available from the premium vendor. It is called Irish Dance and costs 600 premium credits.
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has only been on the market for just under a month, but during this time it has already dethroned the previous battle royale champion H1Z1. More than 140,000 players played the online shooter simultaneously.
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is climbing from one record to the next. The game from genre creator Brendan “PlayerUnknown” Greene and Bluehole Studios was already close behind main competitor H1Z1 shortly after launch and overtook ARK: Survival Evolved, for example, right away.
However, the big H1Z1 has now also fallen, and Battlegrounds is just ahead in the number of concurrent players.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds: More than 140,000 players simultaneously
According to the latest numbers from Steam, the number of active players in PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is 140,104. This pushes it ahead of the previous battle royale champion H1Z1, which can attract “only” 137,985 concurrent players. Overall, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has seen a player increase of 242.36 percent in the first 30 days since launch.
The great success of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds also led it to enter the (unofficial) Steam charts on April 23 at 16:00 under the “All-Time Top 10” of the most successful games. Currently, it occupies 9th place, ahead of H1Z1 and below the indie title Terraria with 158,000 players. Still at the top of this list is DotA 2 with a whopping 1.2 million simultaneous gamers. It may take several future updates before PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds reaches that point.
What do you think of the success of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds? Honestly deserved or a completely unjustly overhyped game that is not even finished and full of bugs? Let us know in the comments!
The fans of the “Star Wars Battlefront” series have many questions about the upcoming game Star Wars Battlefront 2. Some of these are being answered by the developers gradually.
The flow of questions doesn’t stop, but not all will be answered. For example, it is still unclear what the Galactic Conquest mode will be like. Presumably, the developers want to keep some things for bigger announcements. However, some questions are occasionally honored with an answer.
Dedicated servers are back
It is now confirmed that there will be dedicated servers where players can create their own server environment. This was also the case in its predecessor, so it shouldn’t be a surprise that dedicated servers are included again this time. However, it is still unclear how private servers and community servers will be handled.
Revisions to the weapon reloading system
Dice employee Dennis Brännvall also explained via Twitter that there will be improvements and revisions to the weapon reloading system. However, he does not want to disclose any details at this time. In addition, the loadouts of the classes are currently not 100 percent finalized. There may still be changes.
As one can see, some of the familiar elements like dedicated servers will be retained in Star Wars Battlefront 2, but there are also new features. Therefore, one can already be excited about how the online shooter will play when it releases on November 17 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

In For Honor, a player has turned the community against him: Apparently, he is achieving an outstanding statistics through excessive rage-quitting.
CosmicSwordsman is an Xbox player with one of the best statistics overall in For Honor. It is unclear whether a player or multiple players hide behind the name, but CosmicSwordsman has already defeated 5384 opponents in PvP (which means rank 2 on the leaderboard). He has only died four times himself! Therefore, as a look at the FHTracker reveals, he is number 1 on Xbox One when it comes to K/D.
So far, CosmicSwordsman has only suffered one defeat. Out of 914 matches, he won 913. Incredible!
Is this all above board? Many users on Reddit shout: No! And they provide evidence that this “top player” is cheating.
Witch Hunt Breaking Out on Reddit
According to several Reddit users who encountered CosmicSwordsman in the game, he abruptly ends the match when he faces death. By quitting in this rage, his statistics remain “clean”, and the kill/death ratio remains unaffected. Only his victories are included in the statistics. Not a particularly honorable method to climb to the top of the rankings. This is making the Reddit community very upset.
This video shows CosmicSwordsman quitting as he dies:

Many players are appalled by this shameless behavior. In recent days, there have been several posts in the Reddit forum, where CosmicSwordsman was insulted in a nasty manner. One example: “Cosmicswordsman if you see this, get f******”.
Other users take this humorously and “fix” CosmicSwordsman’s statistics as they should actually be:
In rage quitting, he is now top!
This name has become a synonym for toxicity, which is why the moderators deleted several posts and comments and even banned CosmicSwordsman from the subreddit. Moreover, there has been a thread live for a few days, urging to refrain from a “witch hunt” – regardless of who is targeted.
Kotaku asked CosmicSwordsman if he wanted to comment on the whole thing, but he did not respond. According to some Reddit users, he justified himself once by saying that he is just very, very good.
What do you think? Should “leavers” and “rage quitters” be punished in For Honor to prevent this from happening, or would that affect too many innocents?
The new quest “Mark of the Sentinax” is not for solo players in WoW. Without a group, you will farm yourself silly.
Every week in World of Warcraft the story at the Broken Shore progresses with a small piece of story. As of today (April 25, 2017), Illidan offers all heroes at level 110 a new mission called “Mark of the Sentinax”. The objective is to collect 100 Marks of the Sentinax and then return to Illidan.
The Sentinax regularly changes its position.
However, this is easier said than done. The quest marker is wrong. Anyone who has played a bit at the Broken Shore knows right away what to look for. Look for the green Legion ship symbol for the Sentinax on the map. There you can open portals using signal fires.
WoW Quest Mark of the Sentinax is better tackled in a group
The catch is: The Marks of the Sentinax only drop from the elite enemies from the reinforced portals. The ordinary enemies (which can also be threatening for solo players in large numbers) do not drop the Marks.
It is advisable to join a farming group through the group finder. Just type “Sentinax” in the search field and several groups should already be suggested to you – or you can simply start your own farming group.
The elite enemies usually drop only a single Mark. You will have to hope to catch a lieutenant of the Legion fairly soon. The summoning of such will be announced in the chat. Lieutenants drop between 25 and 50 Marks of the Sentinax, which makes the farming work significantly easier.
Lieutenants drop particularly many Marks.
After finishing the work, you return to Illidan. The mission rewards a whopping 1500 reputation points with the Legion judges, which should unlock flying for many players at last.
Thus, the quest line for this week ends again. As last week, there was only one quest step to tackle.
The MMORPG Bless has been playable in Russia for 5 months. However, the MMORPG is now being discontinued there.
The South Korean MMORPG Bless is considered one of the last great AAA MMORPGs of its generation. Here in Germany, we have been waiting for a long time for the publisher Aeria Games to bring the fantasy MMORPG here.
It has now been announced that the service will be discontinued on May 25th. The game servers will then go offline. This is not meant to be a final farewell, but rather “a revision” will be carried out. The game is to be revised.
It is officially stated that the game will be discontinued for an indefinite period until it returns “fully and revised”.
Development in Russia justifies EU publisher Aeria Games
Mein MMO states: This development justifies the EU publisher Aeria Games in hindsight. They could have, as fans wished, brought the current version of Bless online quickly.
However, they chose to wait until urgently needed revisions to Bless in South Korea have been completed. The combat system is to be revised, and the game is to be put on a firmer footing.
Apparently, all of this is taking much longer than fans would like.
It is likely a wise decision by Aeria Games to wait so long with the Western port until the game in South Korea is “revised”. With an MMORPG that is released here and would have been discontinued 5 months later – as it is now in Russia – nobody would have had fun.
In Destiny, a new week begins today, on April 25th. It is Weekly Reset. A fresh Nightfall strike and other activities are coming.

Heroes of the Storm receives a new hero from Overwatch: the cyber-ninja Genji in addition to the “HotS 2.0” update. Learn about Genji’s skills and abilities in detail here.
Update April 25. We have added the video “Genji in the Spotlight” to the post.
Heroes of the Storm – Genji’s Skills and Properties
We were able to play Genji exclusively on the new Hanamura map in Paris at the end of March and get an impression of his skills. These are now detailed:
Cyborg (D): You can activate this skill multiple times and jump to a targeted point each time. Ideal for closing in quickly or escaping.
Shuriken (Q): Genji throws three shurikens in a cone, each dealing damage to the first enemy hit. The skill has a maximum of three charges. When the cooldown ends, all charges are restored simultaneously.
Reflect (W): Protects Genji for 1.25 seconds against damage. Each time damage is blocked during this time, Genji throws a kunai at the enemy closest to him (heroes are prioritized), dealing damage.
Dash (E): Genji dashes forward, dealing damage to all enemies in a straight line. If enemy heroes die within 2 seconds afterward, the cooldown is completed and the mana cost refunded.
Ultimate 1 – Dragonblade (R): Unleashes the Dragonblade for 8 seconds, allowing Genji to perform devastating attacks in a wide arc. If enemy heroes die within 2 seconds after being hit by the Dragonblade, the cooldown of Dash is completed. Perfect for taking down fleeing enemies.
Ultimate 2 – Cross Slash (R): Performs two cross-shaped sword strikes that deal damage and ignite the ground after 1.25 seconds, causing additional damage to enemies in their area of effect.
Genji is currently playable on the test servers of Heroes of the Storm and is likely to go live with the release of “Heroes of the Storm 2.0” on April 25. However, Blizzard has not yet revealed a precise release date. Genji is also available as a bundle with the skins “Oni-Genji” and “Steel Dragon Genji”.
What do you think of Genji and his skills? Is the Overwatch assassin a good addition, or would you have preferred his brother Hanzo? Let us know in the comments!
An Overwatch professional destroyed his career in just under a minute. He completely lost it during a livestream.
If you have an important game in Overwatch or just got out of bed on the wrong side, then the mood can turn quickly. If there is also the impression that you are playing against a cheater and losing because of that, it can be difficult to keep your emotions in check.
However, one shouldn’t go as far as the player Dellor from the Toronto Esports team. During a livestream, he completely lost control and yelled at his teammates in the voice chat for nearly 30 seconds. Instead of the usual insults and hate rants that you might expect, he simply kept repeating the word “Nigger” and drowned out all the other players.
Here is the video: Warning, it gets veryloud in between.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wkwK7Qqdig0
Unfortunately, Dellor streamed the entire game. It didn’t take long for one of his viewers to record a clip and present it to the Toronto Esports team.
The reaction followed promptly: After a brief conversation between the parties, Dellor’s contract was terminated. In a TwitLonger, Dellor explained himself afterwards and admitted that he “screwed up.” He had a bad day, many negative circumstances piled up, and when he had to deal with a cheater, a fuse blew for him.
However, he insists that he is not a racist. He only repeatedly used the most offensive word that came to his mind.
In PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, a nasty glitch caused matches to be won by undead players or to eternally remain undecided. This is now fixed, and a mode for custom games was introduced in the last patch.
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has dealt with a nasty bug since the first major content update last week, which many players exploited or encountered by chance, ruining the fun: if a player was shot while reviving a teammate at just the right moment, the reviver remained as an immortal undead forever.
This is now over thanks to a hotfix, as is another annoying bug.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds: Hotfix eliminates undead and double reloads
As the mentioned immortality exploit led to completely undeserved victories or to annoying stalemates, the developers at Bluehole quickly responded and fixed the issue via hotfix. At this opportunity, the equally annoying Double-Reload-Bug was also addressed.
This bug occurred only sporadically but rendered the first reload animation useless for some players. The character diligently stuffed bullets into the magazine, but none remained in the end. In the first firefight, you had to reload again immediately – often with deadly consequences.
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds: Custom Games are here – But not for everyone!
In addition to the two much-needed bug fixes, a new game feature has arrived in the battle royale shooter. From now on, there will be custom matches, where you can set the parameters, allowing only pistols as weapons or only first-person perspective.
However, custom matches will initially only be available for Bluehole’s streaming partners. They want to properly test the feature before rolling it out to the wider public. However, you can still join such a match and participate.
Heroes of the Storm is receiving a new reward system with HotS 2.0, heavily inspired by Overwatch. This is a wonderful thing for Jürgen, because what is better than unwrapping presents?
If you remember your childhood, you surely know the great feeling of receiving a gift package on your birthday or at Christmas, and unwrapping it with excitement. If there was something useful inside, the joy was even greater!
The same feelings arise for me when I open loot boxes in games like ESO, SWTOR, or Overwatch. Whether it’s junk or legendary loot, just the act of unwrapping is a blast.

Heroes of the Storm – Loot 2.0 – The perfect loot drug!
From today on, alongside the mentioned games, Heroes of the Storm joins the list of games that revive joyful childhood memories.
Because today, on April 25th, the long-awaited new loot system in HotS finally launches, which is intended to function similarly to Overwatch. This means: You will receive a loot box with four goodies at each level.
And just like in Overwatch, opening the box is a feast for the senses. The box shakes, bursts, unloads its contents, and you can already see that you might have a cool purple or orange item. And then the anticipation grows even more as the contents slowly reveal themselves. The perfect reward moment!
HotS 2.0 – Loot, as I want it!
Skins, spray paints, emojis, mounts, and announcer voices are no longer just available through real money and gold grind – you can earn them. And it’s not even that hard, as calculations on the test server indicate that legendary loot pieces are possible every 8 to 10 boxes.
What is duplicated will be counted as exchange currency, allowing me to specifically choose my favorite Zarya skin or a special mount. This way, I can much more easily get the items I want and won’t have to pay a cent if I diligently play HotS.
HotS – Loot 2.0 – “Scream with joy or send it back!”
The only thing that spoils my fun in Overwatch and similar games are repeated misses or items for classes/heroes that I never or very rarely play. This can be really annoying over time, especially if you’ve spent real money.
In HotS, however, this should happen only rarely, as for very little gold (250, 500, and 750) you can re-roll the contents of a box up to three times.
This speeds up the chances of getting really valuable items and ensures that you don’t constantly pull misses. And it’s an excellent money sink, that prevents players from accumulating vast amounts of game currency!
I’m really looking forward to tonight, when the update hopefully goes online without bugs and I can dive into tons of boxes. It’ll be like Christmas, birthday, Easter, and Saint Patrick’s Day all rolled into one!
But enough of my childish joy over virtual treasure chests. What do you think about the new loot system in HotS? Are you looking forward to it as well or do you find the new system less appealing because it relies too much on chance? Let me know in the comments!
A potential new map has been leaked for For Honor: A coliseum can be seen. Is this proof of the Centurion as a new hero?
For Honor is expected to gain momentum again in the coming days and weeks: The first season of the faction war is drawing to a close, bringing delicious rewards for the heroes.
The time periods between the end of one season and the start of a new season are used by the developers, according to the “Year 1” plan, to introduce new heroes, new maps, and additional content. All gameplay content is said to be free – however, the season pass provides early access for the heroes.
Currently, everything points to the first two new heroes being a ninja and a Roman centurion. Several leaks and a concept art for the season pass indicate this. Now, another leak has surfaced showing an unknown map that could be related to the Centurion.
Will a Coliseum map come soon?
In a recently released video by Ubisoft, the developers talk about how the Ubisoft worlds come to life. Around 0:22, scenes from For Honor can be seen: Two fighters are seen dueling on an unknown map:

This “Coliseum map” could also just be a test area where the developers collect their data. However, this map is almost too “complex” for that, with quite a few details.
A coliseum in For Honor would at least fit the leaks regarding the Centurion, who could be one of the first new heroes. However, there has been no official statement from Ubisoft yet. It shouldn’t take too long, though, before the content for the second season of For Honor is revealed.
What do you think? Will we soon fight our battles in For Honor in a coliseum?
The Overwatch team is working on a lot of new maps. Three of them are expected to be released in 2017.
In just a month, Overwatch will celebrate its first birthday. While 3 new heroes were released during the first year, there were only 2 fresh maps (Oasis and Eichenwalde).
In the official forum, user lalato pointed out that this seems a bit low. Especially since it was said before the game’s release that the release of new maps was a high priority. He wanted to know from the developers what happened to this goal and when players could expect new maps.
Jeff Kaplan, the Game Director of Overwatch, took the time to address this issue.
He explained that the team is currently working on 3 brand new maps, all of which have already passed the “first gameplay test”. In the first gameplay test, developers check whether a map is enjoyable and makes sense. At this point, a map has no textures or many objects yet. However, since all 3 maps have passed this test, the developers are likely already working on the textures and the fine-tuning. All 3 maps are expected to be available for the regular game modes – namely Quick Play and Competitive Mode.
3 “special” maps also in development
Although he couldn’t make any promises, all 3 maps are supposed to be released in 2017. However, no specific dates were mentioned.
Additionally, the developers are working on “3 non-standard maps”. What exactly this entails is not clarified by Kaplan. It could involve new event maps, such as the Lúcioball arena or maps for other events. A variation of King’s Row was also used for the current “Uprising” event, which likely counts as a “non-standard map”.
What do you think? Is the selection of maps in Overwatch sufficient for you? Or do you need more maps, or else it gets boring?
If you really want to have all items in Overwatch , you need to play a lot – or throw a lot of cash at the problem to buy loot boxes.
Sure, cosmetic items in Overwatch are not important for player success. But for personal satisfaction and style factor, they are essential. That’s why most players use events like “Uprising” to snag as many special loot boxes as possible. So how many loot boxes would you actually need if you want to have every cosmetic item in the game?
The user MyNameisMunka posted on Reddit and did the calculations to find out how many loot boxes are typically needed to get all the items. The calculation assumes that the player has not unlocked any items so far and excludes promotional skins, such as from the “Origin” version. Possible duplicates are also considered, through which the player receives enough credits to buy the missing items.
The result is as follows:
One needs 1300-1600 loot boxes (an average of 1465) to obtain all current items (all “normal” and those from “Uprising”)
One needs 1100-1400 loot boxes (an average of 1250) to obtain all normal items (excluding events).
One needs 1550-1900 loot boxes (an average of 1725) to get all items including all events assuming that Blizzard offers the items at three times the credit price annually.
All Overwatch items cost almost €1,200
For those who would like to convert it into Euros: 1465 loot boxes correspond to approximately 1170 €.
Note: The calculation does not include obtaining player icons. Also, Blizzard has not provided exact probabilities for the distributions within the boxes so far, which is why the initial values are based on player experiences.
In our buddy list for Pokémon GO, you will find all KM distances for generations 1 and 2. We will show you how many kilometers you need to walk with your Pokémon buddy for candiesto earn.
The “Buddy System” in Pokémon GO rewards trainers with candies. Choose a Pokémon that will walk alongside you on your adventures – or even put Pikachu on your shoulder. This Pokémon will then become your buddy. If you cover a certain KM distance with your buddy, you will receive the candies. You need candies to train and evolve your Pokémon.
Your Pokémon buddy will never leave your side.
Pokémon are divided into three KM distances:
1 kilometer
3 kilometers
5 kilometers
For particularly rare Pokémon, you need to walk 5 KM distances. Common Pokémon can usually be found in the 1 KM category.
Buddy List: These are the KM distances for all buddy Pokémon
In the table below, you will find all Pokémon from the first and second generation. Here, the KM distances for each Pokémon are listed.
How to read our buddy list:
Search for Pokémon in the table: At the top of the search box, you can simply enter the name of the Pokémon for which you want to know the KM distance.
Sort the table by Pokémon or kilometers: You can sort the table alphabetically by Pokémon or by the number of km/candies. Just click on the category.
Oops, unfortunately this table is no longer available.
Quick tips for buddy Pokémon – How to use your buddy effectively
Finally, here are a few quick tips on how to best utilize the buddy system:
Rare Pokémon as buddies: Choose Pokémon that do not appear frequently in Pokémon GO. You will encounter these less often and thus receive fewer candies from them. Common Pokémon are not advisable. Unless, you like the Pokémon and simply want it to walk alongside you.
Change buddies: If you change your buddy, the KM distance covered resets. Change your buddy only after you have received your reward.
Rewards: As a reward, you get 1-2 candies for the distances traveled. You can use the candies for evolving or powering up. The buddy system is great for gathering the last candies needed for an evolution.
Your buddy cannot defend a gym: Your buddy is tied to you and cannot be left as a defender in a gym.
Speed: To recognize the kilometers traveled, you must not move faster than 10.5 km/h.
In the MMO shooter Destiny, a Guardian was able to solo Crota with just one sword. No one had succeeded before!
What have you played in your last 35 gaming hours? Have you mastered numerous raids? Have you completed the milestones in the new triumphs? Or did you throw in a few other games and entirely played through them? In 35 hours, a lot can be accomplished.
What the YouTuber Gladd did in 35 hours can be seen in this three-and-a-half minute video. He repeatedly played the Crota encounter at 390, aiming to defeat the raid’s final boss solo with just one sword. That is, to bring him down in just one sword phase.
This video has been chosen by Bungie as the video of the week. You can watch it here:

Now it gets serious: The developers of the promising MMORPG Ashes of Creation will see how well their game idea is received through the upcoming Kickstarter campaign.
Kickstarter is not only a great way for indie developers to secure funding for their game without a publisher, it is also a good indicator of whether the idea behind the game is well-received. The team behind the MMORPG Ashes of Creation will experience this starting May 1st. Because on this day, the Kickstarter campaign for the online role-playing game will launch.
How well do the interesting ideas resonate?
Then it will become clear whether the node system is well-received by players. Through these nodes, players influence how the world develops. If someone harvests too much wood from a forest near a node, they might awaken beasts that want to defend their territory. This will influence the development of the area. In this way, the worlds of individual servers will also differ from one another.
While server A has awakened forest beasts, this is not the case on server B. There, perhaps more focus has been placed on fishing, which could lead to a sea monster becoming a threat. Nodes continually evolve. They start as a small campsite and can develop into a metropolis. The team behind the MMORPG has now talked about this metropolis. Developing a node into a metropolis is very challenging but also incredibly useful. Depending on what kind of city you have created, this will impact the entire game.
Metropolises are important and change the game
A metropolis focused on science, for example, offers you fast travel options to certain locations. Since there is hardly any fast travel in the game, such a metropolis can change the entire game. Other metropolises provide better defense options against sieges or better prices for traders. A maximum of five metropolises can exist per server, which means careful consideration is needed about how you develop the cities. Check out the video about the metropolises and learn more about this principle. Additionally, the video shows new gameplay scenes that already look fantastic!
And remember May 1st if you want to participate in the Kickstarter campaign for the MMORPG Ashes of Creation.

Blizzard is hiring new people. The goal seems clear: a mobile game. Will it be Overwatch or StarCraft?
Mobile gaming is still a rapidly growing market. No wonder, with smartphones, tablets, and all the other devices that we always carry around with us. Blizzard has only developed a single game for this area so far – Hearthstone.
But now the game developer is ramping up and has published new job postings. They are looking for additional employees for the development of mobile games. The workplace would be the “Incubation Department” – basically the department where new core ideas and concepts for games are devised before they go into development.
The job descriptions are for “developers who will contribute to Blizzard’s efforts in mobile gaming” while “developing tools that ‘designers and artists’ can use.”
Which game this pertains to is still completely unclear. Only the statement from Frank Pearce gives a hint, who said in February that “Overwatch and StarCraft could potentially lend themselves to mobile games.”
Apart from the new positions, there are also many restructurings within Blizzard. Major developers are being pulled from projects and put into the “new secret projects”.
Blizzard has many irons in the fire
We already know that Blizzard has also hired employees for an “yet-to-be-announced first-person game” and hope to receive the first information about it later this year. Whether this is related to the mobile game is still unclear.
Furthermore, the Diablo team has been significantly expanded, which leads many fans to hope that they are already working on a Diablo 4 – or even a mix of Diablo/shooter, meaning a Diablo from a first-person perspective.
