Digital Extremes, the creators of Warframe, have recently announced a new game. Keystone has a quirky retro science fiction look and combines the gameplay of a card game with a shooter.
With the science fiction shooter Warframe, the development studio Digital Extremes has a successful game in the running that generates significant profits and is still being developed further.
Therefore, Digital Extremes now has enough resources to develop a new game: Keystone.
Keystone – Overwatch meets Hearthstone?
Keystone is to be a shooter like Warframe, but also a card game: meaning a “card shooter”. You collect various cards and combine them into a deck that gives you advantages in the shooter, such as skills or weapons. However, not only your deck is relevant, you can also combine your cards with those of other players to create even more powerful decks. Additionally, Keystone takes place in a multiverse that resembles a game board.
The whole experience is garnished with a quirky 70s science fiction aesthetic, complete with space helmets featuring fin decorations, zap-laser pistols, and strange aliens. All of this sounds quite bizarre, and how it all looks in practice is still unknown. This week, on May 26th, the alpha phase of the game is set to start. On the official Keystone website, you can sign up for the alpha.
Jürgen says: The idea admittedly sounds more than strange, but I find the design of the game interesting so far. And Digital Extremes has impressively proven that they can develop good shooters with Warframe. I’m curious to see what kind of game Keystone will ultimately be.
Secret World Legends, the remake of The Secret World, celebrates its release on June 26. It brings changes to the gameplay, game world, and UI, alongside the Free2Play business model. In a big stream, the developers presented some of the innovations.
Unlike The Secret World, the Free2Play reboot Secret World Legends is set to be more accessible and dynamic. The release date for Secret World Legends is June 26.
In a developer stream, it was revealed that there will be sensible UI adjustments, new skills for blade weapons, and a revision of the “City of the Sun God”.
Secret World Legends – Streamlined UI and Spirit Blades
Games like Secret World Legends thrive on the dense atmosphere that can create strong immersion. However, this only works if there aren’t people with names like “Bl00dR0xXorzl33t” running around and ruining everything.
To ensure that the dark game is not unnecessarily disturbed by name displays, information such as faction and rank will now be banished from the normal view. Anyone who still wants to know will have to inspect the respective player with a special action. Those who prefer can turn off all the UI annoyances anyway and not see who is standing in front of them by name.
Another innovation from the remake is the new blade weapon specialization “Spirit Blade”. This allows sword wielders to cut down their opponents even more effectively. By the way, those who master all skills of a weapon receive special “Capstone Skills” for each weapon. These become stronger when you have several such skills.
More to do in the City of the Sun God
All the new abilities will soon be testable in the overhauled zone “City of the Sun God”. This area will receive a lot of new missions as well as a device that will take you back and forth across the map.
Furthermore, dungeons in SWL will scale better, allowing you to complete 3-person instances alone. Investigation missions will soon have their own slot, and the level cap will rise to 50.

Getting into new games is easier for some players and harder for others. It often depends on whether similar games (in this case, hero shooters) have been played before. If you’ve played Team Fortress 2, you know that automatic turrets are a good way to secure strategic points on the map. If you’re new to hero shooters, you should take a closer look at Torbjörn .
Additionally, healing characters can refresh your health points by being in your vicinity with a healing aura or by shooting you back to life with a sniper shot. Lúcio has a healing aura that can heal multiple characters at once. Ana can heal her allies with her sniper rifle.
For the Overwatch basics, we have a beginner guide for you that covers the most important points of Overwatch. With this, getting started in Blizzard’s hero shooter will be significantly easier. Overwatch Beginner Guide – 10 Tips for Beginners
During the Free Weekend, you have access to all heroes and maps as well as selected features like Quick Play, Custom Games, Arcade, and Loot Boxes. You also have access to the cool new contents like skins or emotes that are available for Overwatch’s Anniversary Event.
Will game progress be carried over?
If you enjoyed Overwatch during the Free Weekend so much that you want to purchase it afterward, then your progress will be carried over. All progress, including ranks, skins, and other items from loot boxes, will be transferred from the free version to the full version. Please note that you must purchase the game for the same account you used during the Free Weekend.
In The Division , the update 1.6.1 is causing frustration. It was tested for weeks on the PTS.
The agents’ mood is currently really bad. The update 1.6.1, which was supposed to fix many issues and make agents’ lives more enjoyable, did not bring the desired improvements.
Instead, players are complaining in the forums about new issues, glitches, and bugs that were not fixed, even though they are listed in the patch notes. Even the NinjaBike backpack, which was supposed to be removed from the loot pool, is still dropping. We have dealt with all these annoyances and inconsistencies of 1.6.1 here.
Many agents have already come to terms with the fact that year 2 will deliver little new content. But the fact that the developers themselves cannot properly handle smaller quality updates leaves them baffled. Our readers also find this “ridiculous” in the comments. The criticism of Massive is becoming loud again.
With all the bugs – what were the PTS for 1.6.1 good for?
In fact, the update 1.6.1 was tested for weeks on the public test servers, the PTS. Now many users are asking: What was that actually good for?
The purpose of the PTS is to allow a large player base to test upcoming content in advance so that developers can fix any errors before release and make fine adjustments.
And the PTS for 1.6.1 also had successes: Several bugs were fixed early, Massive was able to tweak the balance a little, and the biggest new feature, the loadouts, is now functioning perfectly.
The loadouts are pretty much the only thing that is currently being received positively. Too many bugs are haunting agents after 1.6.1, and too many points from the patch notes were not implemented. A user on reddit scoffs: “Welcome to the real PTS”. Because only now are all the problems of the update coming to light that Massive will soon have to fix.
PTS on PS4 and Xbox One – The solution?
The PTS are generally a good thing. However, the PTS for The Division need to be able to identify problems more effectively. Two suggestions:
Massive needs to provide concrete guidelines for the PTS: “Test these new features specifically in the coming days and provide your feedback.” The PTS phases should be more structured.
The player base on the PTS needs to grow: So far, only PC players could access the PTS. However, the consoles have their own versions with their own problems and needs. In order to discover all issues, agents on PS4 and Xbox One need to be integrated into the testing phase.
The developers plan for the PTS for update 1.7: For the first time, there will be a PTS build for PS4 and Xbox One. They are working to make this possible.
So far, the PTS have only been available on PC because developers can react quickly and deploy new updates swiftly. For consoles, patches must first go through a certification process by Sony and Microsoft. How they plan to concretely implement the PTS for PS4 and Xbox One remains to be seen.
What do you think? How useful are the PTS for The Division? How should they change?
There are big plans for Overwatch . The developers want to release a new patch every month.
On the occasion of the 1st anniversary of Overwatch, Blizzard held a long livestream, discussing a lot about the past and future of the hero shooter. Jeff Kaplan, the Game Director of the game, shared some details about the plans for the future.
New content drop every month
After the first year, Overwatch is far from over. In fact, the developers are aiming to deliver a content drop every month in the future. While this won’t necessarily mean a “huge patch” with new maps or heroes, it could involve some variations for the arcade or similar things.
Additional skins and other upgrades are also conceivable. Generally, they want to provide players with something new frequently and further refine the game. Currently, they are working on an improved spectator mode so that the matches can be more easily followed during eSport events.
Fewer heroes, fewer new events
However, the flip side is that Overwatch will have to scale back in other areas. More than three to four new heroes per year are not expected – rather fewer. After all, they are not a MOBA and do not want to “recycle” abilities just to create new heroes.
As for new concepts, the developers still have some plans. For example, they are considering a hero who can fly permanently or another who can shoot holes in walls to create pathways. However, these are just rough ideas at this point. The goal for new heroes is clear: quality over quantity.
There will also be fewer new events, but the old events will return regularly. And new content for these is not ruled out – the next event would be in the summer when the Summer Games return along with Lúcioball.
However: PvE events are something Blizzard enjoys developing. So there will be a lot more to come…
In Destiny 2 it is finally here: The mysterious rocket launcher is coming to the game.
In November 2016, we reported on three lost exotics that were hiding in the databases but were not yet in the game. These were a mysterious rocket launcher and two machine guns resembling the Thunderlord.
With the “The Dawning” event in December 2016, the Thunderlord variants were introduced: Nova Mortis and Abbadon. But there was still no sign of the rocket launcher. It is still not in the game. And now we also know why: It is coming to Destiny 2!
Dubious Volley – What’s the deal with the rocket launcher?
Already some time ago, with “The Taken King”, the rocket launcher was found in the databases. Thanks to this icon, it received creative nicknames – one of the decent ones is “The Microphone”:
However, in the English-speaking community, the name “Dubious Volley” has become established. The reason: With “Rise of Iron,” two perks were implemented that are still not active but can be associated with this rocket launcher:
Dubious Ordnance – This weapon delivers a high-energy volley of explosive ordnance.
Dubious Munitions – Kills from the volley add another round to the volley.
Since the weapon fires “volleys” according to the perks, this thing is unofficially called “Dubious Volley”. By “volleys,” here, we mean salvos of mini-rockets that are supposed to flow out of the rocket launcher. The many holes that define the appearance of the weapon also suggest this. The second perk, “Dubious Munitions,” might mean that the stream of mini-rockets will be extended.
Sounds exciting, looks exciting. With such a weapon, many Guardians wanted to shoot into the faces of their opponents. Game Director Luke Smith confirmed, however, regarding “The Taken King,” that it is a weapon planned for TTK but was scrapped. With the introduction of the perks with RoI, the hunt fever broke out again. Guardians turned over every stone in Destiny, hoping for a quest for the Dubious Volley.
Now we know: The efforts and hopes were in vain. In Destiny 1, there will probably be nothing more with this rocket launcher. But it is confirmed in Destiny 2.
Dubious Volley – It’s coming!
The Dubious Volley appears in several scenes of the shown gameplay material for Destiny 2. In two pictures, you can see the Dubious Volley in all its glory, in other scenes, you can even see it in action – from the first-person perspective of a Guardian:
The Dubious Volley deals Arc damage and releases, as the perks from RoI have already revealed, salvos of mini-rockets. In the gameplay material, it seems that the salvos are homing. However, this can only be speculated. There is also no guarantee that the above-mentioned perks will come in this form in Destiny 2. These can still be revised or replaced.
Here you see the Dubious Volley in moving images:

Ubisoft calls for the Yeti hunt, confirming the leak. We will show you where the five Yeti clues for the season challenge in Wildlands are.
The hunt for El-Yeti in Ghost Recon Wildlands has officially begun. Coinciding with the 6th season challenge, the developers confirm the leak that was published about three weeks ago, showing the Yeti missions. As a solo challenge, you have to find five clues, summon the Yeti, kill him, and take his picture. In this small guide, we will show you how that works.
If you want to complete the challenge without help or spoilers, you should not continue reading here. We have a summary page, where you can find many other interesting “Ghost Recon Wildlands” articles.
Solo Challenge – Five Yeti Clues / Locations
The solo challenges are divided into three categories and reward you with the El-Yeti face paint upon success. We will show you how to complete these challenges. The locations were published by Reddit user xisix88.
Challenge 1: “Find all clues about the Yeti’s whereabouts:
To complete this challenge, you must find five clues in Inca Camina.
It’s best to get a helicopter to be mobile in Inca Camina.
To make it easier for you to find the locations where the clues are hidden, you should use the coordinates on the map. You will find them when you open the tactical map in the bottom right corner of the screen. (The coordinates shown in the following screenshot are irrelevant – The image only shows you where to find the data)
Note: It’s hard to pinpoint an exact spot where the clues are counted. You sometimes have to move around a bit at the locations and walk around for the successes to count.
First clue -20.7959 / -64.6258: You will find a clue at a small camp in the mountains. Walk around at the position until progress is shown.
Second clue -20.6620 / -65.4029: At this point, you will find a cave that you need to climb into. Move around inside the cave until the progress is counted.
Third clue -19.3564 / -66.7911: At this position, you will find a plane wreck. Inspect the crash site closely so that progress is shown.
Fourth clue -20.5473 / -65.8779: As the fourth clue, you will find a climber in the mountains. Here, it is advisable to land with the helicopter on a rock ledge and fly to the climber with the drone. This will count the progress.
Fifth clue -20.4269 / -66.3492: You will find the last clue near a jeep. Move between the jeep and the bodies to get the 5th progress point counted.
Once you have found these five clues, the first part of the solo challenge is completed.
Summon Yeti – The Right Stone
Challenge 2 – “Summon the Yeti”
To summon the Yeti, fly to the coordinates -19.7421 / -66.6623. There you will find a stone with bloodstains next to the river. Go to this stone and use the “Examine” function that will be shown to you. Then quickly take cover behind a stone!
With that, you have completed the second part of the challenge and can kill the Yeti.
The Yeti now appears as a sniper in a ghillie suit on a mountain nearby and takes you as his target. With a sniper rifle, you can easily take him out. He himself uses a powerful sniper that can kill you with one shot. So be careful.
Photograph Yeti
After you have killed the Yeti, you can take his picture.
Challenge 3 – “Kill the Yeti and photograph his corpse”
How you kill the Yeti is up to you.
Then go to his corpse.
There, the “Examine” function will be shown to you again. If you trigger this, your character will photograph the killed Yeti and your rewards will be unlocked.
Once you have completed all the objectives, the riddle of the Yeti is temporarily solved. We hope this guide has helped you.
Passive powers play an important role in the PvP-focused MMORPG Crowfall. These powers have now been introduced in more detail.
A passive power is an ability that unfolds without your involvement. For example, when your hitpoints regenerate just by standing still. You do not need to activate these powers, as is the case with spells or attacks.
In Crowfall, these passive abilities are very powerful. Therefore, they are also limited. You cannot possess an infinite number of passive abilities; you must choose a few that seem most important to you. This adds a strategic component.
Passive but still active
By opening the menu of passive powers, you can see which ones you can select. From those, you choose the ones you really want to use. All others remain unused. However, you can change the “active” passive abilities at any time and select others.
This depends on the specific situation you are in. The passive powers available to you depend on your chosen class and your race. Not everyone can use the same abilities.
Many combination possibilities
As passive powers, you have options like “boosts” for collecting resources that allow you to gather resources faster. Or you reduce the power costs of a particularly powerful weapon, enabling you to use it more effectively. If you are a born leader, you can activate the skill “Group Leadership,” which grants a buff to everyone in your party.
Moreover, there is the possibility to choose passive skills in such a way that they provide a sort of combo effect. What those are, you will have to find out in the game. There are said to be a large number of possible combinations.
The MMORPG Crowfall is currently in an alpha phase. The developers are currently working towards a soft launch.
The Game Director reveals some secrets of Overwatch’s offensive heroes. Genji used to have Stealth and McCree comes from Half-Life.
During the development of Overwatch, there were many anecdotes and discarded concepts that never made it into the final game. Game Director Jeff Kaplan revealed 7 secrets about the various offensive heroes of the game in an interview with colleagues from IGN.

Genji and Hanzo were originally planned as a single character (who looked like Genji). He had both a bow and his shurikens and the katana. Additionally, he had an ability that allowed him to turn invisible to ambush his enemies. That was simply too much for one character and felt terrible as a whole – which is why they split him up.
McCree is heavily inspired by Half-Life 1 and 2. There was also a revolver there, and the developers loved the feel of the weapon so much that they wanted a character in Overwatch who uses this gun. Even the animations look similar!
Pharah started her development as “Rocket Dude” and, after deciding to make her a woman, she became “Rocket Queen.” Internally, the developers still call her that and then start singing the song by the band “Guns ‘N’ Roses.” By the way: In one of the early concept drawings, Pharah is still seen in yellow armor with a red helmet – so that will not be a future character either.
The concept of Reaper originates from the canceled game “Titan.” At that time, he had different abilities and could – like Sombra today – see enemies through walls when they had low health points. You should always feel that Reaper is coming for you when your health points are low.
Soldier: 76 is a character almost entirely conceived by Chris Metzen. He was originally a comic hero but fit “like a glove” for the role they were looking for. So Chris Metzen simply handed over the character to Overwatch. The comic, by the way, is from the 90s – so it has been around for a while.
The development of Sombra took particularly long. Her cloaking was initially a passive ability that became active as soon as Sombra left combat. The developers experimented for a long time until they figured out the right timing – ultimately, it was almost spontaneous, which they then discarded.
Also, Tracer originated as a basic concept from Titan. There was supposed to be a class called “Jumper” that could teleport up to 30 meters on the battlefield. “That’s totally overpowered and doesn’t fit in any game!” said the other developers – today she works very well in Overwatch.
Jeff Kaplan has already revealed more secrets in these posts:
The new Overwatch skin for the Anniversary event makes Hanzo look like a fool – at least if you’re fluent in Japanese.
Japanese is certainly one of the most difficult languages in the world. The various characters, which come from different systems, can be quite confusing for outsiders. When a developer designs a special skin for Overwatch that includes Japanese characters, they should definitely have it checked by a native speaker – or shouldn’t they?
The Japanese fans are not too fond of Hanzo’s “Cyber Ninja” skin. The reason for this is that there are some characters on the strap of his quiver. Literally translated, they mean “arrow” – but not in the way Blizzard intended. It’s not about the arrow that a bow would fire, but rather an arrow, like a road marking, a directional sign. No wonder fans are now mocking the skin.
Japanese people wonder: Why does Hanzo have the character for directional arrow on his strap? It makes absolutely no sense.

A mistake like this has happened to Blizzard in the past, making the situation even more embarrassing. In the cinematic “Dragons,” the backstory of Hanzo and Genji, Hanzo kneels on the floor of his shrine. On the wall scroll, it literally says “Dragon head, snake tail” – but Japanese people don’t read it literally, instead, they interpret it as “disillusionment.” Probably not what Blizzard intended to convey.
All good things come in threes – so it will be interesting to see what blunder happens next time.
Whether Blizzard will change the skin retrospectively is still uncertain. However, it seems likely that they will accommodate the fans here – or simply wait it out until it becomes a meme itself. We will see.
Mein-MMO thinks: This whole situation is reminiscent of the cliché tattoos with Japanese wisdom that some people have tattooed on their bodies. Sometimes it just says “Sweet and sour chicken” or “Ramen with mushrooms” – sometimes it would indeed be better to have such things checked in advance if you’re not fully familiar with a language. But hey… somehow this fits the stereotype of the “Hanzo main” perfectly, doesn’t it?
In Destiny 2 there will be new swords. Some can already be seen in the existing gameplay material.
Swords are an exciting weapon category in Destiny. In Year 1, you had to play the “Sword of Crota” mission or act as a sword bearer in the Crota raid to briefly experience how swords feel in the hands of a Guardian.
In Year 2, swords were introduced as a true weapon category – not just as relics. Especially the Exotic swords revolutionized the gameplay of many Guardians. Even today, these can often be found in the “Heavy Weapon” slot.
Sword lovers can now rejoice: There will also be swords in Destiny 2. And apparently, the selection will be significantly larger. During the gameplay premiere, several swords were discovered.

The first new sword comes from the gameplay trailer for Destiny 2 and is easy to overlook. A Sentinel Titan uses his super, allowing this sword to be seen on his back for a brief time. Definitely a cool design:
The second sword is a Katana – a longsword that the Hunter in the footage carries:
While the Hunter carries the katana with one hand, the Titan wields this broadsword with both hands:
In the moving footage (we have embedded a video above), it appears that quick attacks are possible with the katana, while the broadsword allows for slower but stronger attacks. Different playstyles may be possible with the swords. Whether the swords are class-specific, meaning that only Hunters can wield a katana, is unknown.
Another sword is seen on this screen, which is supposed to show the bonus contents of the digital deluxe edition. Along with an emblem and a gesture, a curved sword is visible:
A sword that is not new but was still shown: Lord Shaxx carries the Solar Exotic sword Tilger:
Whether the Tilger will be playable for the Guardians or if only Lord Shaxx can wield it will be shown in the future. Actually, all items from Destiny 1 are supposed to be left behind.
In addition, the Dawnblade sword of the Warlocks is known. This is his new Solar Super and is therefore not considered a sword weapon. We’ll show you this sword anyway:
By the way: Enemy units from the Red Legion will also attack you with swords:
What do you think of these swords? Are you the sword type in Destiny?
The new dances in Overwatch are well received – but one specific dance might have caught the attention of anime fans …
With Patch 1.11 and the onset of the “Overwatch Anniversary” event, there are numerous new cosmetic items in Blizzard’s hero shooter. However, this time the undisputed highlight is not the skins, but the new dance animations. Every hero has been given their own dance.
This ranges from the Edgelord Reaper, who simply sways his foot coolly, to Soldier: 76, who displays the dancing talent of a “Commander Shepard,” and up to Reinhardt, who performs a noble little dance with his hammer.
Mei’s dance is inspired by Haruhi Suzumiya
The extremely life-affirming and cheerful dance of Mei has indeed generated enthusiasm among anime fans in the Overwatch community. Because the dance is not “freely invented,” but is from the popular anime “The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya” (Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu). You should directly compare the two dances.
Here is Mei’s dance:
And here is the dance from the ending song “Hare Hare Yukai” of the anime Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9XO1PxiHtnA
That there is one or another developer at Blizzard who has a soft spot for anime was also noticeable in Update 2.0 of Heroes of the Storm. There, Genji and D.Va received skins that matched the colors precisely to the mechas from the anime “Neon Genesis Evangelion”.
What do you think about some anime references finding their way into Blizzard’s games? Great that the developers are addressing such things? Or should they keep them completely out of their games?
Cortyn says: I think it’s great that Blizzard acknowledges in this way that there are significant intersections between Overwatch and anime fans in the community. To be honest, I couldn’t have thought of a dance that would have suited Mei better. Could this provide hints for Mei’s lore? All the research in Antarctic laboratories must have been somewhat boring – one could easily sweeten their free time with anime!

Once again, there are penalties for cheaters in Pokémon GO. They can no longer find items in the shop that could help them in the game.
There have been increasing penalties and measures against cheaters in Pokémon GO in recent days and weeks from Niantic. A new type of penalty exists for cheaters in the in-game shop, where one can usually buy incubators, lure modules, or Poké Balls. Those marked as cheaters will find significantly fewer items when they open the shop.
Those who cheat may not buy items
Reddit user TheGoodSpeler noticed comments about shop problems on a Discord server. In the Discord channel that deals with Spoofing, users complained that they could not buy items in the shop. With their accounts marked as “cheaters,” they can only buy coins. In the following screenshot, you can see how the shop is displayed for cheater accounts:
Source: Reddit TheGoodSpeler
The affected players on the Discord server are unsure which type of cheat is responsible for the items no longer being displayed.
Measures against cheaters are increasing
For a long time, cheaters could roam around Pokémon GO without punishment. Now the developers at Niantic are introducing more and more features aimed at cheaters.
Just a few days ago, it was noted that recognized cheaters or bots can no longer see rare Pokémon. This means that live maps affected by this change will only display common Pokémon, making them less valuable for spoofers. The missing items in the shop are already the second step against cheaters within a week.
Fewer cheaters in gyms from now on?
Why this particular measure is effective against cheaters becomes clearer at a second glance. The lack of purchase options in the shop makes the coins of cheaters useless. There are therefore fewer reasons for cheaters to teleport to and occupy many gyms because they can no longer make use of the coin rewards. This, of course, presumes that the accounts have also been identified by the game as cheaters. So far, mainly bot accounts are affected.

This new Titan is described as a mid-range Titan and belongs to the Vanguard class. With its unique upgrade core, pilots can choose various upgrade paths. If the pilots manage to survive for a long time, the Titan can assume its “Final Form”.
During matches, Monarch can enhance combat abilities based on pilot decisions. To recharge its own shields (or allies’ shields), Monarch can harness power from enemy Titans.
Prime Titans
Ronin and Tone Prime are the new purchasable Prime Titans.
New Map: Relic
On the new map, you can see the wreckage of a downed IMC transport “IMS Odyssey”. The scattered parts of the transport provide many opportunities for wall runs on the Relic map.
The gameplay will particularly revolve around attacking and controlling the center of the map.
The Crashside map will receive an update that makes the map smoother. About 100 spots where players often got stuck have been adjusted. Additionally, eight ziplines and more wall run opportunities have been added to allow for faster movement across the map.
New Execution, Shop Contents, and Titan Brawl
A new cloak execution called “Now You See Me” has been added. Images can be found in the trailer, which will be released later. Additionally, the Titan Brawl is making its comeback in featured mode on May 30. Coinciding with the release of the update, double experience will be available in all game modes.
The store also has new nose art, camos, and callsigns.
In The Division, update 1.6.1 is live. This causes frustration and disappointment among the agents.
Update 1.6.1 was intended as a quality update. This means it was supposed to fix some bugs, improve the balance, and make the agents’ lives more pleasant. However, looking at Reddit or the Ubi forums, the complete opposite is the case: The agents are furious and posting one complaint after another.
“Am I the only one who feels like nothing has been fixed at all?” asks an agent and receives dozens of upvotes. Another agent wants to know if the developers at Massive even test their fixes. He specifically refers to healing bugs that were supposed to be fixed. However, after only ten minutes of playing, he found that healing still had issues.
NinjaBike is still dropping
It has been reported particularly frequently in the last hours that the NinjaBike backpack is still dropping. This item is considered the worst exotic in the game – especially due to the new changes in update 1.6, it has become completely pointless. It is basically only good for dismantling, which is why Massive promised that it would be removed from the loot pool with 1.6.1.
However, players are still receiving it. Community Manager mattshotcha has already commented on this: Yes, the agents are right. It seems to still drop from bosses in the Dark Zone. The team is on it.
In the same post, he confirms that the changes to the extended magazines at level 34 are indeed retroactive. According to the patch notes, they are not supposed to be. Any good roll on old magazines is also supposed to be a good roll on the magazines in 1.6.1.
However, these are by no means all the problems and inconsistencies after 1.6.1. The forums are currently overflowing with user reports. Talents and grenades are bugged, the seeker mine is still too strong, status effects last too long, “fire bullets” are causing issues, NPCs are dealing too much damage, and there are also lags and stutters. Many reports are still awaiting confirmation.
Currently, the ETF for year 2 is running, which is why this week’s “State of the Game” is canceled. Therefore, detailed responses to all the complaints will have to wait a while longer.
Have you already checked out The Division 1.6.1? Have you encountered any problems?

What is the TOTW in FIFA 17 Ultimate Team?
Every Wednesday, EA Sports reveals the Team of the Week in the “Ultimate Team” mode of their annual football simulation. This also applies to FIFA 17. Players who have shown outstanding performances in real football over the past week are rewarded with special cards that have improved attributes.
You can pull TOTW cards within a week from those packs that can contain Rare (Gold) players. However, the chance of this is considered low. Additionally, you can buy them on the transfer market if they are offered by other players. However, the prices are usually extremely high.
When developing an MMORPG, one should better not mess with the community. But that has now happened to the developers of the role-playing game Shroud of the Avatar.
One would like to write something positive about the game, but the development process since the beginning and how the community reacts to the game resemble more of a crime story. There is a lot of tension. The “Selective Multiplayer RPG” Shroud of the Avatar is not received as well by fans as hoped. Especially backers of the Kickstarter campaign are showing disappointment. At that time, the game was not announced as an MMORPG.
MMORPG- Community are trolls
Even now it can still be read on the Kickstarter website: “Though Shroud of the Avatar won’t be a massively multiplayer online role playing game, it will be a multiplayer game.” In German: “Obwohl Shroud of the Avatar kein Massively Multiplayer Online Roleplaying Game wird, wird es ein Multiplayer Spiel werden.”
Currently, it plays like an MMORPG with open PvP zones, raids, crafting, housing, social activities, and a lot of grinding. However, the plan was more of a type of single-player RPG with a rich story, quests with choices and consequences, and the ability to experience this cooperatively with friends.
But since there is hardly anything to see of that, the quests are currently not very convincing, and MMO elements are in the foreground, criticism has been pouring in for a long time. Especially on forums like Reddit, Steam, and MMORPG.com, there is heavy criticism.
Shroud of the Avatar: Forum is strictly moderated – But criticism arises in other forums
In the official forum, however, there is strict moderation.
When criticism was once again raised in the MMORPG.com forum, the Technical Director of SotA, Chris Spears, intervened in the discussion.
It became so heated that Spears referred to the community as trolls. As a result, a small shitstorm swept over the developer studio Portalarium.
Also for this reason, because Spears stated he would put the blinders back on and continue working on the game. But those who work with blinders and ignore the criticism of those who have spent money on the RPG but are not satisfied, might be working against the wishes of this community.
Therefore, it is no wonder that SotA has been criticized for a long time. The reviews on Steam are not particularly great.
Did the developers even have a plan?
What has additionally fueled the fire is a now re-emerged, somewhat older video in which Richard “Lord British” Garriott talks with his colleagues Chris Spears and Starr Long about the development process of SotA.
In the video, Garriott explains that they had decided on short notice to launch a Kickstarter campaign to save the company, which was on the brink of bankruptcy. They quickly worked out a concept for a game and started the crowdfunding campaign. However, what they showed there was just “smoke and mirrors.” This creates the impression that the developers had absolutely no plan.

This would also explain why Shroud of the Avatar plays so differently and differs from what was announced during the Kickstarter campaign.
The developers get entangled in contradictions when trying to explain. On the one hand, it is said that games change during development. On the other hand, it is explained that they have adhered exactly to the wording of the Kickstarter campaign and would develop a mix of MMORPG and single-player RPG.
As you can see, SotA is not under a good star. The criticism does not cease, the reviews on Steam are anything but good, and the player numbers according to Steamcharts are a maximum of 155 per day. Portalarium states that this is only about 20 percent of the total players, as most would play without Steam. But even then, the number of players would still be under 1,000.
The persistent game world has been around since July 2016, which many have seen as a “release.” However, the development team resists calling SotA officially released. The release is supposed to take place at the end of the year, but even for that, the game still seems extremely unfinished.
MMO shooter Destiny 2 will have sound effects with passion. That is ensured by a man who already made himself heard in the first part: Dave Samuel.
Old gag: How many people actually work on Destiny? Maybe one in three.
In March 2016, it was said that the studio Bungie had about 700 employees. That many are needed to tackle a huge project like Destiny 2. There are graphic designers and artists, story writers and designers, community management and the management level. We know them well.
In small documentaries about Destiny, in ViDocs, people like chief producer Mark Noseworthy or the game’s director, game director Luke Smith, explain what they thought about Destiny. These are the big makers and visionaries, but Destiny 2 has many specialists that are seen and heard too rarely.
Pfff! Wooosh – Kaboom! – Dave Samuel, sound effect designer
Above all, one has made himself heard: the special sound effects developer Dave Samuel. He is responsible for how Destiny hisses, booms, and sounds. And he does it with full passion. Every time you activate an ability in Destiny 1 or Destiny 2, you hear his work.
In the first ViDoc for The Taken King, the mustachioed Dave Samuel appeared for the first time and explained the new Hunter super: with full enthusiasm, hands, and his voice.

Samuel presented the new abilities sound-wise with such passion and dedication that he has since gained a small fanbase among Destiny super fans who do not forget him.
Responsible for the super moments in Destiny 2
Even Bungie knows what they have in Samuel, and so in the latest ViDoc the fans’ grins were wide when it came to describing the new supers: because Samuel appeared again.

You can tell: the beard has become even bushier, but the passion remains the same. Fans were excited: “This is exactly the kind of guy that should make sound effects in a video game.” Without Samuel, the presentation of new supers would simply not be the same, said another.

Even at Bungie, Samuel has his fans. Weapon guru Jon Weisnewski says: Dave is always so super cool. He is 150% a great guy.
