Massive published cryptic tweets and codes about The Division – what does it mean? Apparently, a big announcement is coming!
Such a thing has not happened in The Division before: The developers at Massive are announcing something new at this hour and giving the community hints about what it could be. At least we suspect that. Because the tweets that the official Twitter channel is currently publishing are extremely cryptic.
It is likely that they are several teasers for Update 1.8, of which hardly anything is known so far. We summarize all the previous information about this “puzzle”.
The Rioters are certainly involved
The first strange tweet appeared yesterday evening, on August 25. Massive published an image (see our title image) with the heading: “We had to deal with our own business.” What the developers wanted to convey to the community with this was unclear to anyone. It was discussed on reddit. To no avail.
These hints became more interesting:
The Twitter channel of The Division changed its profile picture:
This is undoubtedly the logo of the Rioters – these represent, along with the Cleaners, the Rikers, and the LMB, the fourth enemy faction in The Division. Here is an image with the faction symbols:
On the other hand, Massive published various codes. So far, these are: 1164-1353/888-1874 and 898-2876/967-2517. These may indeed be coordinates in the game. However, they do not lead to specific locations. Instead, there is another idea in the reddit forum: When you enter these numbers in Google Maps, locations are indicated near Central Park, such as “1164 Central Park South, New York City, New York, USA” or “1874 Central Park West, New York City, New York, USA”. Perhaps these numbers are hints that there will be a map expansion in Central Park. However, this can only be speculated about.
Further tweets from The Division:
“We had to hurry like rats to grab what we could, as long as we could.”
“We were outgunned, the embodiment of loosely organized chaos.” This image was published:
The community developer Hamish Bode shared these tweets and always wrote a question mark above them. When asked if Bode himself didn’t know what it was about, he merely replied with a winking smiley.
In short: A bigger announcement is coming. How long this puzzle game will last, we will see.
What do you think? Are these teasers for 1.8 or even for The Division 2? What could be behind the codes?
However, players discovered another nerf in the current version of the PTR that was not noted in the official patch notes. If Doomfist uses his Rocket Punch in the air (i.e., during a fall or jump), the range is reduced by nearly 25%!
As long as he is on the ground at the start of the ability, he can shoot up to 20 meters (at full charge) ahead. However, if he is in mid-air, the Rocket Punch only reaches a maximum range of 15 meters.
https://gfycat.com/CreepySimilarIberianchiffchaff
This makes Doomfist’s movement in the air significantly more difficult, as he can cover much less distance.
It is possible that these changes are merely an unintended bug. However, Blizzard has repeatedly made small adjustments in the past that were not previously noted in the patch notes.
Do you think Doomfist needs more nerfs? Or is the reduction of his ability hitboxes sufficient?
In “The Journey: Hunter Returns” in FIFA 18 the story of Alex Hunter continues. However, you will not have to experience it alone – 4-player co-op will be possible.
It has been known for months that the story mode “The Journey”, which was first introduced in FIFA 17, will receive a continuation in FIFA 18. This is called “The Journey: Hunter Returns” and directly connects to the plot of its predecessor.
According to EA Sports, Alex Hunter has become the number one topic of conversation worldwide after a sensational debut season in the Premier League. However, a transfer seems to be looming before the start of the second season. In other words, Hunter is expected to move to new leagues.
First, however, he will take a summer break in Brazil (where Alex Hunter will probably kick a bit on the streets) and then a pre-season tour in Los Angeles. This is how you will experience the life of a professional footballer in all its facets.
You won’t have to do all of this alone.
Co-op in Story Mode
As reported by ran and Kicker, there will be a four-person co-op mode in “The Journey: Hunter Returns”. Until now, the story mode was a pure single-player mode.
In FIFA 18, a multiplayer co-op function is now being introduced. With up to three other players, you can experience the journey of Alex Hunter. To do this, you need to click on “Multiplayer” before an upcoming match and then connect the additional controllers.
Alex Hunter himself can, of course, only be controlled by one person on the field. However, it was already known in June 2017 that there would be several playable characters in the story continuation. Hairstyles and outfits are said to be customizable.

Closers places great importance on telling exciting stories. The story is released in episodic form and presented in anime style. Each episode advances the story and introduces you to new challenges with new, even more powerful opponents.
In South Korea, Closers has been available since December 30, 2014. It is considered a free-to-play 3D action MMORPG in a sidescroller style.
Through a pirate server, it was also playable in the West. However, it is now officially published in western regions by En Masse Entertainment (NA Tera). A closed alpha is planned for September.

In Destiny 2 the trophy list is known with all trophies (Achievements). This reveals the name of the raid as well as mysterious symbols!
Buckle up, there is big news about Destiny 2! The complete trophy list for Destiny 2 has appeared online, revealing interesting information.
In total, there are only 14 trophies in Destiny 2, most of which belong to the “Gold” quality. With the exception of the Platinum trophy, these achievements should be identical to the achievements on Xbox One. We present them in German.
List of all trophies in German – Destiny 2
There are no Bronze trophies. These are the “Silver” quality trophies:
A long, winding path – Reach level 20
People’s Hero – Complete a Heroic public event
These are the Gold trophies:
Zavala’s Lieutenant – Obtain every Titan focus.
Cayde’s Vanguard – Obtain every Hunter focus.
Ikora’s Protégé – Obtain every Warlock focus.
Show me what you can do – Complete Shaxx’s Call to Arms.
Like the Flash – Complete a Flashpoint.
Heart of Darkness – Complete a Nightfall strike.
Pure Exotic – Collect 15 exotic weapons or armor pieces.
Challenge Accepted – Complete 30 challenges.
At the Heart of Evil – Complete the Leviathan raid.
The Prestige – Complete the Leviathan raid or a Nightfall strike on “Prestige” difficulty.
So that you are not judged – Make the acquaintance of an Emissary from the Beyond.
Platinum trophy:
The Chosen of the Traveler – Obtain all trophies in Destiny 2.
If you want to see the symbols for all trophies, you can do so on the psnprofiles page.
Is this the Leviathan in which the raid takes place? The community is puzzled
The Leviathan raid, the Emissary, and Prestige
These trophies reveal exciting things:
The new raid is called Leviathan. The trophy itself is named “At the Heart of Evil.” However, translating the English original literally, the trophy is called “In the Belly of the Beast.”
What the Leviathan is all about can only be speculated. In the Destiny universe, there was once a Leviathan, described as a gigantic, intelligent creature that was a pupil of the Traveler. However, it was destroyed by the Hive, and the Worm gods Eir and Yul consumed its corpse. Therefore, it probably isn’t this Leviathan.
During the Destiny beta, concept art was released showing a gigantic creature that could be the Leviathan. We have embedded the picture above.
There is also an interesting observation. This is the trophy symbol of the raid. In the upper left corner, there is a small symbol: Luke Smith wore a sweater during a presentation that had this symbol displayed upside down:
Particularly interesting is the trophy “So that you are not judged”. In German, you make the acquaintance of an Emissary from the Beyond, in English, it’s referred to as “Emissary”, meaning an envoy. This is the symbol for it:
This Emissary apparently has something to do with the Nine. In the upper left is the symbol of the Nine: IX.
The three spheres in the middle have also been seen before. Luke Smith wore them on another sweater. That these mysterious symbols that Luke Smith wore on presentations will be significant has been speculated by the community for a long time. There is currently no further information about this. Perhaps this Emissary is the new “Xur”?
Furthermore, a trophy description indicates: There is apparently a difficulty called “Prestige” for the Nightfall and the raid. This is probably the highest difficulty level.
Level 20 could be the new maximum level in Destiny.
What do you think about all this information? What could the Leviathan be? It doesn’t necessarily sound like the Cabal. Right now, there is speculation on reddit that our title image could be a scene from the raid – from inside the beast.
In life, you have to set priorities – or not? When an urgent Overwatch match calls, even a wedding must take a short pause.
Real life and the harsh realities of gaming can sometimes be difficult to balance. When family calls for dinner, the boss wants an urgent article, or suddenly grandma is ringing on the phone.
But sometimes you just have to let your inner gamer win! As Kotaku reports, it happened to Joonas Alakurtti, better known in Overwatch as Zappis. He was invited to a good friend’s wedding party over the weekend – it’s hard to say no. But on the same evening, an important game took place – the beginning of the Overwatch Contenders tournaments, where a proud $100,000 is at stake.
Zappis did not show much sign of time pressure – first at the ceremony, spent a few hours with the other guests, and then back to his computer to game. However, he took several hours to get into the right “mindset” – otherwise, it’s hard to win games. The plan worked – the first match was won by Zappis and his team.
After the victory, he immediately returned to the wedding. Zappis did not want to miss the party afterward.

However, Zappis also criticizes the Overwatch Contenders league. The schedules are too short notice and have little flexibility. Other eSports tournament providers manage this significantly better.
How would you have acted? Would you have canceled the appointment at a friend’s wedding? Would you have given up your team and thus your chance to win? Or would the whole thing have been too stressful for you?
In The Division, today, on August 26, there is the big vendor reset. Which items are particularly worth it?
When you go into your inventory and select the “Backpacks” tab, the currencies are displayed in the middle of the screen. If extremely high numbers are shown, then it’s time to head to the vendors! The Phoenix Credits and Dark Zone currency are particularly important for purchasing items from the vendors.
Since the 1.7 update, many agents are only interested in weapons and mods. We no longer recommend armor pieces, as now the secret set pieces are the way to go.

Bungie presents characters from the world of Destiny 2 in short videos. Cayde-6, the leader of the Hunter Vanguard, has now received a trailer introducing his character.
The characters and story were not among the strongest aspects of Destiny 1, but with the introduction of “The Taken King”, significant progress has been made.
A large part of this was due to the focus on Cayde-6, the leader of the Hunter Vanguard, who is voiced in the original English by none other than Nathan Fillion (the German voice had to be replaced for Destiny 2 unfortunately).
While other characters may still seem bland, Cayde-6’s cheeky and sarcastic nature has been well-received in the community. This may be one reason why Cayde-6 will also play a prominent role in Destiny 2.
The very first major trailer for Destiny 2 made this clear. Cayde-6 mistakenly referred to the main antagonist Ghaul as Gary. This resonated so well with the community that even a dedicated sub-Reddit for Gary was created. It became too much for Bungie as well – and they asked to please call the Cabal boss Ghaul.

As Destiny 2 will also be released on PC for the first time, Bungie and Activision specifically want to draw the attention of new players to the characters of the Destiny universe.
Short clips will now introduce each character (as was done with Hawthorne, a new character in Destiny 2) and give you a taste of what role the characters will play in the story of Destiny 2.
In the video itself, you can get a glimpse of some gunslinger abilities and experience the kind of humor that defines Cayde-6. He is described as a jack-of-all-trades and a devil-may-care type:

The online shooter Warface will soon receive the update “Prypjat.” In it, you will explore the eerie remnants of the nuclear disaster-stricken city of Prypjat near the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. In the eponymous district of Prypjat, story missions and exciting twists await you.
Warface is an online shooter distributed by MY.com. In addition to the well-known game modes, there will soon be a new scenario as part of a special mission that takes you to a dark place in recent history: Chernobyl and the nearby city of Prypjat.
Warface: Dark Action in the “Zone”
The update Prypjat leads you to the eponymous city of Prypjat in Ukraine. The city had to be evacuated in 1986 due to a catastrophic accident at the nearby Chernobyl nuclear power plant and is now a ghost town.
However, in Warface, Prypjat does not only pose an increased radiation dose. Rather, enemies have made themselves at home there, and in special missions with plot twists, it is your task to thwart their plans. “Prypjat” will only be the beginning for further story expansions in Warface.
https://youtu.be/tHevaddMYrI
To make the update as realistic as possible, the developers visited the site and closely inspected the city of Prypjat multiple times. You can find a trailer of the developers’ efforts embedded here. Enjoy!
When does the PC beta of Destiny 2 start? How can I get keys and codes, and when is the launch of the open beta? All the information about the PC beta of Destiny 2 is here in overview.
The Destiny universe comes to the PC for the first time with Destiny 2. Until now, the MMO shooter was exclusive to PS4 and Xbox One, which is why many players are excited to see how Destiny 2 will be played on PC with mouse and keyboard.
The release of Destiny 2 on PC is on October 24th – however, you won’t have to wait that long to get an impression. Because a beta phase for the PC version will take place at the end of August. Everything you need to know about it will be presented here in the overview.
When does the PC beta / open beta of Destiny 2 start? Release date and time
The PC beta of Destiny 2 consists of two phases. The dates for these are:
Destiny 2 PC beta with early access: August 28, 2017, at 19:00
Destiny 2 PC open beta: August 29, 2017, at 19:00
The PC beta phase ends on August 31, 2017, at 19:00.
All interested players have access to the open beta. However, if you want to start a day earlier via early access, you either need to pre-order Destiny 2 for PC or somehow obtain a beta key.
Keys and codes for early access – redeem key via Bungie.net and Battle.net
If you pre-ordered Destiny 2 for PC directly from the Blizzard store, you automatically get early access to the Destiny 2 beta. This means you don’t need a beta code; you can download the required game data directly.
All other players who receive a beta key from their retailer or won a key must redeem this key first. The following steps are necessary:
Log in to Bungie.net. You can log in to Bungie.net with your Blizzard, PSN, or Xbox Live credentials or create an account.
Once you are logged into Bungie.net, visit the redemption portal (link leads there). Enter the beta key here. You will receive a message that the code has been verified.
Next, go to Bungie’s “Redeemed Codes” page. Here you need to select your platform and region. Choose the only option “PC Global” and click on Go. You will then be shown the beta code that you need for Battle.net.
Now log into Battle.net to redeem the received code in the Blizzard shop. You need an account for Battle.net.
Select “Redeem Code” at the bottom left in the shop and enter the code. A message will appear indicating that you want to redeem the Destiny 2 beta. Click on Continue. Done!
Preload of the Destiny 2 PC beta – When does the pre-download start?
If you want to start playing as soon as the beta launches, you can download the necessary game data in advance.
The preload starts on August 25 at 19:00 our time.
If you have successfully redeemed your code, you can click the large “Install” button. This will start the preload. You need to download about 16 GB. Players without a key can download the data starting August 29.
System requirements for the Destiny 2 PC beta
The system requirements for Destiny 2 have been announced by Activision and Bungie. Check here to see if your computer can handle the Destiny 2 beta:
If you are wondering how to control Destiny 2 on PC, there is a graphic here:
The content of the Destiny 2 PC beta – The content
The content of the PC beta is similar to the content of the console beta:
Story mission “Homecoming”: As soon as you start the beta, you choose a character. You then go directly into the first story mission called Homecoming. In this mission, you experience the attack of the Red Legion on the Tower.
Strike – The Twisted Column: After the story mission, you gain access to a strike – a 3-player group activity. You must face the Cabal and the Vex on the planet Nessus.
PvP: The PC beta will include two PvP modes:
Countdown: An “Assault and Defense” game mode. It will be played on the map “Downtown”.
Control: Capture and defend zones. The more zones you occupy, the more points per kill you receive. It will be played on the map Javelin-4. This map was not available in the console beta.
In the PC beta – just like in the console beta – there will likely be six different subclasses available. These include the Dawnblade, the Voidwalker, the Sentinel, the Striker, the Gunslinger, and the Arcstrider. Read about the new subclasses in Destiny 2 here.
By the way: First issues of the beta are already known, which you can read about here. Keep in mind that this is just a beta version that is being conducted for testing purposes.

The squirrels in World of Warcraft are going rampant. They are disrupting trade in Orgrimmar – but how did this happen?
If you’re traveling in Val’Sharah, you’ve likely been asked by a worgen lady to crack some nuts and relocate squirrels a few times. But have you ever wondered where all the little rodents are actually being relocated to?
The answer to that question has now been found by user Zhimu on Reddit. When he attempted to visit the auction house in Orgrimmar, a crate with the rodents apparently burst open – the entire place was filled with squirrels, which even caused some graphic hiccups as too many NPCs were displayed at once.
Is the Auction House Dance Party Responsible for This Glitch?
The exact reason for this massive outbreak of rodents is still not completely clear.
The changes to Mercy made her strong. Too strong. On the PTR for Overwatch , she now takes down teams single-handedly.
Just this morning, we reported that the healer Mercy from Blizzard’s hero shooter Overwatch is getting a major rework. She is losing her infamous mass resurrection, but instead gets a single rez and the new “Valkyrie” ultimate, which allows her to fly and do pretty much everything better: buffing, healing, dealing damage. Especially the last point is a “triple” buff, since not only the weapon’s damage is increased, but also the fire rate. Oh – she also has unlimited ammo.
Since Valkyrie lasts a proud 20 seconds and Mercy is permanently strengthened by self-healing, she mutates into both a tank and damage dealer at the same time. The healer from Switzerland becomes a total nightmare when Ana gives her a nanoboost. Then Mercy just zooms through the air, slaughtering her opponents in seconds.
https://gfycat.com/EveryAgedHydra
Blizzard admits: Mercy is now too powerful
In the official forum, Principal Designer Geoff Goodman has already confirmed that the tuning of Mercy is not yet complete. Her weapon is currently too strong during Valkyrie. It should be powerful, but right now it is so good that it is “the only right way to use the ultimate” – and they have thus gone overboard. There will still be adjustments in this area before the patch is released.
And there is another small detail that certainly qualifies as a bug. Currently, Mercy can still freely fly in the air with Valkyrie even when she is put to sleep by an Ana. It looks like this:
https://gfycat.com/ShoddyBonyIndianpalmsquirrel
Have you tried the Mercy changes yet? Do you like the new playstyle that Blizzard is aiming for? Or can’t you get along with the single rez and the Valkyrie at all?
In FIFA 18 there will be no Signal Iduna Park. EA has now confirmed this. The stadium of BVB will only be included in PES this year.
This is a massive surprise: For the first time in nearly 20 years, there will be no Signal Iduna Park in the new FIFA installment from EA Sports.
This was confirmed by Marc Goroll from EA in response to an inquiry from WELT: The BVB stadium will be missing in FIFA 18.
The reason for this is a partnership between BVB and Konami, which is why the Signal Iduna Park will now be exclusively featured in “Pro Evolution Soccer 2018”. In addition, BVB fans can look forward to authentically modeled BVB players and some club legends, such as Lars Ricken or Michael Zorc, who are replicated in the game.
Signal Iduna Park in FIFA 17
Although without Signal Iduna Park, but with BVB
This exclusive deal between BVB and Konami only applies to the stadium – BVB will also be playable in FIFA 18. EA Sports was able to secure all rights from the DFL for FIFA 18. You can thus choose all Bundesliga clubs with their players in FIFA 18.
The stadiums are apparently not included in these DFL rights. In the FIFA series, there has always been a limited selection of original Bundesliga stadiums – most clubs have to play in generic stadiums. Only the Premier League has had all original stadiums represented in FIFA for the past few years.
German FIFA fans have long criticized the lack of Bundesliga stadiums. In FIFA 17, there was only the Allianz Arena, the Borussia-Park, the Volksparkstadion, the Olympic Stadium, the Veltins Arena, and the Signal Iduna Park. In FIFA 18, Germany’s largest football stadium is now gone. Whether there will be new Bundesliga stadiums is not known.
ArcheAge 4.0 Trailer and Content: What does the next update bring?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dkut5EjNwCA
ArcheAge 4.0 does not have a release date yet. It is expected to be released “soon” here in Europe and North America.
In South Korea, 4.0 was received “mediocre” by the community. Compared to 3.0, 3.5, or other “major milestone patches,” 4.0 is seen by ArcheAge fans more as a feature update. It focuses primarily on the seas and introduces new naval battles and cross-server arenas.
A highlight is the “Turtle Ship” with 7 cannons on each side.
ArcheAge has had a mixed development history here in the West. It was released in 2014 and was considered a major contender. With its sandbox elements, the Free2Play title offered a change from well-known sandbox games like WoW. Additionally, Jake Song, the head of the Korean classic Lineage, is behind ArcheAge. Therefore, ArcheAge launched with a lot of pre-release accolades.
The hype around the release was enormous, but there were already early on a multitude of problems with hackers, cheaters, and bots. In its homeland of South Korea, cheat protection isn’t as crucial as in the West because players there must verify their identity to play. A ban has dire consequences there. Here in the West, the game wasn’t as well protected, leading to a multitude of issues: Especially cheaters who secured the limited construction plots and later sold them for high prices posed problems.
Moreover, some business decisions by the publisher angered players: essential resources ended up in the game’s cash shop, leading to an uproar. Technical issues during major events ensured that the hype around ArcheAge lasted only a few weeks. Fans are also frustrated with certain game mechanics in the endgame, like the regrading of items, although the same fans repeatedly emphasize how great and rich in features ArcheAge is overall.
In recent years, ArcheAge has made several attempts with elaborate patches and restarts to recapture the magic of once – but it hasn’t fully succeeded yet. However, maybe 4.0 can still turn the tide.
Hawthorne is one of the most important new characters in Destiny 2. In a character video, the developers introduce Hawthorne – along with Louis.
Nearly two weeks before the release of Destiny 2, Bungie is releasing a series of videos that briefly introduce important characters from the “Destiny 2” universe.
Bungie and Activision want to provide the most accessible entry point for all players who have never played Destiny before. Prior knowledge is not required – even though it makes the gaming experience “richer,” Bungie says, if you already have a relationship with the characters. To make the entry even easier, some characters will be introduced in trailer videos beforehand.
One of the videos features Hawthorne – a woman who appears for the first time in Destiny 2. Here you can watch the short clip:

The name Hawthorne has been known for just a few months. Because the exclusive content of the Collector’s Edition, such as the backpack, the sunshade blanket, or the paracord rope, belongs to Hawthorne according to the Amazon description.
Amazon also revealed that Hawthorne was born in the Last City, which she left as a teenager to live a life of freedom in the wilderness. She lived without the protection of the Guardians – and thus learned how to survive out there without the Light of the Traveler.
In the new trailer, we learn that she has a cool falcon named Louis. He is said to be the best pilot. Whether Louis can help the Guardians in battle against Ghaul, we will find out, but it is already known that Hawthorne will be a crucial ally.
In the trailer, she emphasizes that she survived her whole life without the Light. And that she is good at shooting the bad guys. Since the Guardians lose the Light in Destiny 2, Hawthorne becomes a valuable ally.
From the previous information and the shown material, it can be concluded that we will encounter Hawthorne early in the story in the European Dead Zone. Apparently, she saves many characters (such as Cayde-6, Ikora Rey, and Zavala) after the Cabal attack and leads them to a safe place, the Farm. At least she leads these characters out of danger, as the trailer apparently shows.
More information about Hawthorne:
According to an article from Edge magazine, she is supposed to be a very good sniper and often makes sarcastic remarks. In the trailer, she is described as a fighter, sniper, and survivor.
She will be an NPC at the Farm – in the new social space.
By the way: The gameplay reveal for Destiny 2 took place at the “Jet Center Los Angeles” in Hawthorne, California. Was that a coincidence?

It’s Friday again, and many gamers are looking forward to the weekend. Finally, they can relax and spend hours in front of the computer or console. But which games will you spend the next few days on?
Good weather in Germany heralds the weekend. A reason to sit by an open window with the TV or computer and game.
In the next few days, hopefully, you will have plenty of free time to devote to video games. Are you going to stick to tried-and-true classics that you’ve spent years on, or is there something new this weekend?

Next week, the new DLC for GTA 5 Online is set to be released. In “Smuggler’s Run,” there are many new planes and new business opportunities that can help you make a lot of money. The problem is: it likely requires an initial investment.
Maybe you belong to the type of gamer who doesn’t want to miss out on the nice weather. For this, mobile games offer a nice compromise, allowing you to be outdoors and still play.
One of the best examples is Pokémon GO, which currently attracts legendary Pokémon like Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, and Lugia.

Jürgen is playing Fortnite this weekend. A huge update is coming for the co-op shooter, which is set to arrive next week.
I, Patrick, will be gaming GTA 5 Online this weekend and collecting a cash package. I am really looking forward to the new planes and content from Smuggler’s Run and need to top up my online account for that. Let’s see how the new items perform in combat.
Also, I will grab two friends to battle in the meta in Overwatch . For the 6th season , we want to kick things off properly and are currently practicing for that.
The most important question: What are you playing this weekend?

A similarly passive play style as in the last example led to the win at the Solo Invitational at Gamescom. Now the question arises: “Did he even play well and deserve the victory?”

The audience was looking forward to thrilling shootouts at a high level. Instead, someone wins who avoided fighting. Evermore won the $15,000 and the golden pan through a points advantage (798 points). He survived for nearly 28 minutes – which earned him many points.
Players collected points not only for kills but also for the time they spent alive. So Evermore cleverly adapted his tactics, right? When he accepted the prize, he said that he simply exploited the tournament rules. There, “time alive” was more important than kills.

The third map makes it clear that PUBG still has a few issues. Because here, Evermore got stuck in a rock. If that hadn’t happened, he might have survived longer.

Community Divided – Legitimate Tactic?
Looking at the ratings and comments under the YouTube videos and on Reddit, it becomes clear that the community is divided. Some players do not grant Evermore his victory.
“He should be ashamed”
“Avoid action, get stuck, get killed by the blue circle. Win the tournament and $15,000. PUBG”
“The worst player. Plays like a coward and wins. He doesn’t deserve that.”
Others stand on Evermore’s side and say “Well, that’s a survival game. It’s about being the last one standing. That’s what he did, so why shouldn’t he be the winner?”
SuperData has released new figures showing which games generated the most revenue in July. At the top is the ever-popular League of Legends, while PUBG slowly fights its way up.
Lots of money is made with computer games, and SuperData lists every month which are the top games that developers and publishers use to make digital fortunes.
PC: League of Legends remains at the top, DotA 2 plunges – Roblox fights into the top 10
In July, there were changes on PC, positions were swapped, but League of Legends still bravely holds the number 1 spot. The dungeon beat ’em up Dungeon Fighter Online climbs to number 2, while the MMORPG Fantasy Westward Journey 2 continues to occupy rank 3. Crossfire (the Chinese Counter-Strike) dropped from 3rd place last month to 4th.
The online shooter Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds, also known as PUBG, is climbing one rank to number 6, while World of Warcraft rises from 8th to 5th place. World of Tanks slips to position 7. DotA 2 experiences a decline this month and is now found at rank 8, last month it was still at position 5. Overwatch, on the other hand, rises from rank 10 to rank 9, and position 10 is held by the Minecraft-like ROBLOX.
A strong top 3 in console games
In console games, ranks 1 to 3 have remained the same as last month. They are still occupied by GTA 5, FIFA 17, and Battlefield 1. Position 4 is now held by Call of Duty: Black Ops 3. Overwatch rose from rank 7 to position 5. Tekken 7 has fallen off the list, while Injustice made a new entry at rank 7. Crash Bandicoot: Insane Trilogy is also no longer represented, but NBA 2K17 has been added.
Mobile: Clash of Clans in freefall, Lineage M takes off
In The Division 1.7, many agents only strive for the secret gear sets. However, these are now much too rare. This affects motivation.
The update 1.7 did a lot right: It introduced a cool global event, there were new items to hunt, and long-awaited features, such as a bathroom, were also delivered. Motivation returned, The Division was fun again. Only the masks caused – and still cause – greater frustration.
Since the first global event ended, agents have been complaining about two new annoyances:
The event was a welcome change in The Division with the modifiers. Since it ended, however, things have returned to the same old grind. Now, The Division is boring again. In this picture, an agent exaggerates the problem – everything is done as before, only now with a mask on their face:
Moreover, it is now nearly impossible to complete a secret gear set (Classified Set). During the event, the chances of getting secret set pieces were quite high. One could specifically farm GE credits and exchange them for containers that likely contained the coveted items. Now, after the event, one must have a significant amount of luck to obtain secret sets. The chances are sometimes only 1%!
Only 1% drop chance – You might as well save the effort
The secret sets represent the new best armor pieces in The Division. They provide additional bonuses and have higher base stats than all other armor pieces in the game. In short, every agent wants these items. “Normal” gear sets are no longer appealing to advanced agents, and even high-end items are no longer exciting.
In the reddit forum, several threads point out this problem: Only 1% of the loot is really interesting; the remaining 99% is “junk loot” that can be dismantled immediately.
Of course, these are exaggerated numbers – the 99% “junk loot” also includes weapons, mods, and exotics that many agents still need.
Nevertheless: Numerous agents are currently only searching for the classified gear – and even without conducting extensive calculations, one can conclude: To have a complete set of 6 pieces, one would need to invest an incredible amount of time and effort. The chance of getting a piece is low. How long it takes to get exactly the 6 pieces you need, everyone can imagine.
In the community, there are various suggestions on how to solve the problem. The simplest solution: significantly increase the drop chances or introduce a system that guarantees access to the coveted items. One user also suggests integrating a “loot filter.” Because currently, one has to dismantle far too much “junk loot.” Too much stuff drops that is unusable.
On top of the low drop chances of the secret gear sets, the modifiers from the global event that enhanced the previous content are no longer active. Many agents write that they no longer have motivation to play The Division. Before playing the old content for hours to possibly obtain one or two secret set pieces, they would rather not play at all. “No thanks, I won’t put myself through that.”
How do you deal with this issue? Are the low drop chances discouraging you? Or do you still have fun in The Division after the global event?
Playing games at minimal resolution is unacceptable? Or is “being able to play at all” better than “not being able to play at all”? Will you buy a new PC if you can no longer play on “Ultra”? That’s what “Mein MMO asks” is about today.
If you buy a console, you can firmly expect to be able to play the titles of the coming years. After all, all games on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One are optimized for their respective consoles. This eliminates the need for expensive hardware upgrades. But those are just the “dirty Console Peasants.” The colleagues from the “PC Master Race” have to deal with questions every few months:
Can my graphics card still handle the next Battlefield at 60 fps?
Is my hard drive large enough for the new WoW addon?
Is my floppy drive still adequate for the “Monster Hunter World” installation?
If you can’t afford a completely new computer under your desk every year, you’ll have to make compromises on graphics or performance. But does a game still actually fun then? Or does a game lose its appeal if you can’t squeeze out the optimum performance?
That’s why we want to know from you: How important is it to you that a game runs optimally and with the best graphics settings? Can you enjoy games only with maximum performance?
Or is perfect graphics only a secondary concern and far behind the fun of being able to play the game at all?
Cortyn says: Sure – messing around with 2 frames per second in Minecraft is only fun for about 5 minutes. But back when I wanted to play Evolve on my old computer, I always said a prayer in the Nether that the game wouldn’t crash during the loading screen. It ran poorly even on the lowest settings – but that didn’t dampen the fun much. A truly captivating game doesn’t need awesome graphics for me, but it’s certainly a nice bonus.
Gameplay > Graphics. At least for Cortyn.
In principle, I have a simple indicator of when my computer is “ripe” again. As soon as World of Warcraft can no longer be played on the highest settings, an upgrade is necessary. Not because WoW has any particularly significant influence on me but because I still associate the game with the saying “WoW runs on any computer” – and if mine can no longer handle it at the best settings, then an upgrade is in order.
But now to you: Do you always need maximum performance? Are you so-called “graphics whores”? Or are medium or even low settings sufficient as long as the gameplay is convincing?
