Jeff Kaplan has apologized to the entire country of Australia. The reason for this is a small spelling mistake in Overwatch (and a lot of humor).
Overwatch is a game that keeps trying to bring together the many nuances of different cultures around the world. All players are supposed to be represented through detailed locations, ways of speaking, and other subtleties. However, it is inevitable that now and then a small mistake occurs that only locals might notice.
When you pick up food from a fast-food restaurant in America, these places are usually called “Take-Out.” Apparently, Blizzard thought that this would be the case in the rest of the world as well – but that was a wrong assumption.
On Reddit, the user RagingWinston pointed out in a (not entirely serious) post that there is a small mistake on the new map Junkertown, which is set in Australia. In the middle of the map, there is a sign advertising “Take-Out.” While this is correct, nobody in Australia uses that term. There, these places are called “Take-Away.”
The user demands that “Jeff Kaplan should directly apologize to the players.” Such a mistake would make the game utterly unplayable and cause a total loss of interest in the game.
Jeff Kaplan then responded exactly as you would expect from the Overwatch lead – with a good dose of counter-humor. He replied on Reddit:
“I would like to offer a direct apology to the entire state of Australia. Please forgive us our cultural insensitivity. We will fix this mistake in a future patch (but this sign embarrassment will probably remain for a while). Also, Muselk told me that our coffees are too large. We are learning and trying…”
Those who can’t get enough of TERA will be pleased – as the game is getting a mobile spin-off called TERA M.
The developer Netmarble had already announced back in January that TERA will make the jump to mobile devices. The standalone game is called TERA M and has been in development for a while now.
Not much is known about TERA M at this point. The developers have only revealed that the game’s story takes place nearly 1,000 years before the events of the MMORPG TERA. The graphic style of the spin-off also follows the large PC model – so one can expect plenty of revealing outfits and a healthy dose of Elins.
A short teaser trailer is already available – but it only shows edited scenes from the “real” TERA along with a few promises in Korean.

The release of TERA M is scheduled for later in 2017 – at least in South Korea. The rest of the world will likely have to wait a while for a translation.

Since yesterday, many trainers have already downloaded the APK of patch 0.71.0 before the official release and tried the update. It was noted that not everything improved.
Stutters and Lags in Pokémon GO
A new update in Pokémon GO is supposed to provide better gameplay and fewer bugs. Unfortunately, the new update 0.71.0 also brings new problems.
It is noticeable in arenas and raids. As trainers write on Reddit and Facebook, there are frequent stutters or lags in the latest Pokémon GO version during battles. While they are not strong enough to ruin entire battles, they still disrupt gameplay. Especially dodging is made more difficult.
User FuNKyShO made a video showing the performance issues in Pokémon GO:

On Reddit, trainer tobiw4n389 writes: “I had my first raid with the new update today. It was really bad. Dodging was almost impossible. It feels like 5 FPS or less. But this only happens in raids – catching Pokémon runs smoothly.”
These stutters are not entirely new. As trainer Westvargr writes, the problems on his phone are much worse. And they existed even before the latest update. He would be happy if the game only stuttered like in the shown video.
Trainer SavoTrnr agrees. He says: “The video looks smooth compared to my raid performance.”
Bungie’s Game Director confirms that there will be no Locked Loadouts in the Raids of Destiny 2 .
Yesterday, on August 22nd, a report from pcgamesn caused a stir: The site quoted a supposed statement from Gameplay Lead Justin Truman, that the Raid in Hard Mode is said to have a Loadout Lock.
The term “Loadout Lock” refers to a mechanic that prevents players from changing weapons or armor pieces once the activity has started. Players must therefore consider how to equip their character beforehand.
Game Director Luke Smith clarified via Twitter that this is false information. Truman’s quote refers to the Nightfall strike. Smith explains: “Raids in Destiny 2 do not have Locked Loadouts.” They do not want players to have to quit and rejoin a raid if they want to change their gear.
Smith gives an example of a situation that players do not want in Destiny 2 – and possibly reveals the name of a Raid weapon: “I just got Midnight Coup, let me quit so I can equip it and then I’ll rejoin.”
This Item Lock is new in the Destiny Universe
There were and are no Locked Loadouts in Destiny 1. Here, players can change items at any time.
That there will be this new feature in some activities in Destiny 2, Luke Smith already announced in July via IGN. They want to make Destiny 2 “at its peak” a tougher game – meaning some endgame activities will be more difficult due to Locked Loadouts than in Destiny 1.
There will be activities where Guardians will have to think beforehand about which items to use. Players will have to look at their gear in advance – like a golfer with his golf clubs – and then select those items with which they want to tackle the activity.
Which activities may have Locked Loadouts is not fully known yet. Nightfall strikes can definitely have this lock according to the latest info, while raids cannot. It is possible that the Loadout Lock may also exist in some PvP modes. The future will tell.
In recent weeks, the new update “Blackout” was released for the FreeToPlay shooter “Warface”. Enough reason to pay a control visit to Crytek’s shooter. Is it worth pulling the game onto your home computer several years after its release? Our guest author Dennis took a look at the game.
Man, those were the days when I first played the Crysis series and man, was that graphics amazing. Chasing through bushes with your nanosuit and popping up behind enemies and beating them down. You have to say that developer Crytek has released some good games.
A few years ago, they announced a new game called “Warface”, which was supposed to be a true shooter and also free to play. Full of anticipation, I registered for the beta and soon could dive into the action. After 4 years, I want to introduce you to the game a bit closer, maybe the free shooting is something for you.
The Story: A World Full of Chaos
I start with the little story of the shooter. The Earth is shattered and economically at its end. Here are two factions:
On the one hand, the organization “Warface”, which you also play in the PvE part. This is an elite unit that fights against enemy terrorists.
On the other hand, there is the enemy “Blackwood”, which goes over dead bodies for its own interests and conducts terror attacks across the planet.
PvP or PvE?
The special thing about Warface is the mix of PvP and PvE. After completing the small tutorial, you have the choice of which version you would like to play.
In the PvP part, you play against other players on various maps. The modes are quite classic, with “Team Deathmatch” and “Free for All” alongside modes where you have to defuse a bomb. If you belong to a clan or team, you can also choose ranked games in which various teams compete for prizes and small rewards.
In itself, shooting at opponents is fun, but I find some maps simply too small. If you prefer larger maps, you should try the “Assault” mode. Here you have to capture several zones to advance on the map.
If you get tired of online shooting, you have the option to play the PvE part of Warface. You can choose between different difficulty levels and the missions change from day to day.
The first 3 levels are still relatively easy and can be played with randoms. The hardcore missions are best completed in a team that can coordinate. Because here, every mistake leads to failure, even the smallest one.
Finally, there are the special operations which take the longest and require the most concentration. For these missions, you need called “Access Coins”, so it should be well thought out to start a round in this mode.

The Classes: Go on the Offensive or Sneak in the Bushes?
Warface offers you 4 classes that can be played individually and cater to every taste. These are their weapons and specialties:
Gunner: The gunner is the jack of all trades and can carry heavy assault rifles. Additionally, he has the ability to supply allied soldiers with ammunition. This is especially important in PvE missions, as ammunition can run out.
Engineer: This class is equipped with a submachine gun and can especially excel in close combat. You can also place claymores at important key positions. Furthermore, you have the ability to repair your and an ally’s armor. What I like about this class: The engineer defuses the bomb in the PvP part faster than any other soldier and is thus a welcome class.
Medic: The medic is the healer and tries to patch up allies. If a teammate should die, this class also has the option to revive the fallen player. To ensure the medic is not defenseless against the enemy, he carries a shotgun with him. This class is also an important part of every team, especially in missions.
Sniper: This class acts from a safe distance and takes out one or the other enemy. Always with her: The heavy sniper rifle. As a sniper, you should try to eliminate enemy key figures, such as grenadiers.
FreeToPlay or PayToWin?
Now to the essentials, whether Warface is fair or PayToWin. And here I can say in advance: Yes, it is fair.
For a free game, Warface offers microtransactions as well as a shop. Here you have three different currencies:
The Warface Dollars that we receive through regular gaming
as a second, the credits, which we obtain by reaching into our pockets
and third, the crowns. We collect these by successfully completing PvE missions.
In the shop, you will find a wide selection of weapons as well as armor. The good thing is: All equipment can be unlocked through the earned currency, whether Warface Dollars or crowns. With real money, you can only buy cosmetic items like smoke grenades or loot boxes. I think it’s good that everything is unlockable and you don’t have to reach for your wallet to compete in the game.
For paying customers, there are various XP boosts to level up faster, but this does not provide a gameplay advantage over others. What I don’t like as much: The revival coins that can be used for PvE missions to get back up can only be acquired with real money.
Warface Test 2017 – Is the Free2Play Shooter still worth it?
After over 150 hours of gameplay, I still enjoy Warface and I occasionally like to play another round. The PvP part is a blast with a suitable clan and teammates, and the coop mode offers a nice change.
Moreover, the missions change daily, so there’s never a dull moment. It’s important to play with suitable friends and jointly climb the ranking ladder. Another advantage: The FreeToPlay title is really free, and you can’t buy gameplay advantages.
If you are looking for a decent shooter and don’t want to spend money, I can warmly recommend Warface.

In The Division, you also have a chance for secret gear sets (Classified Gear) after the global event. Here’s how to get them, and here’s the drop chance.
Since August 22, the first global event in The Division has ended. During this event, you could earn GE Credits, exchange them for outbreak containers, and thus have a high probability of obtaining secret gear set pieces.
These secret gear sets have always been known as “Classified Gear” and represent the new best armor pieces in The Division 1.7. Accordingly, they are highly sought after.
Now the global event is over, and no more GE Credits can be earned – so you can’t get secret sets anymore, right? Wrong! We’ll show you how to get them now.
Locations of the secret gear sets – Classified Gear
After a global event, the secret gear sets migrate into several loot pools. This means that from now on, you can farm the classified gear through other means. The dataminer EXEmatt has provided these locations with drop chances in the reddit forum:
Named bosses in the open world: 3%
Named bosses in the dark zone: 3%
Contamination events in the dark zone: 3%
“Final Assault” containers: 1%
Survival containers: 1%
Underground containers: 1%
Mission Performance containers: 1%
Massive already announced in the weeks leading up to Update 1.7 that you have the best chance for secret gear sets during the global events. The chances during the time between events are very low – as these numbers indicate. Completing a secret gear set this way will likely take quite a bit of time.
By the way: The secret gear sets from the first global event will now remain permanently in the loot pool. The next global event will introduce three more secret gear sets, which will also be added to the loot pool after this event.
In the reddit forum, users agree: The chances of classified gear should be higher, especially for the containers. 1% is really quite low.
My.com has announced a new update for the MMORPG Revelation Online. Uprising will be released in September and will bring, among other things, a new raid.
The developer studio NetEase aims to continuously provide the MMORPG Revelation Online with new content. Therefore, a new, extensive update called Uprising will be released in September. With this, you can level up to level 79.
A new raid
With the increase of the level cap, it is now possible for you to unlock a new raid. “Altar of the Swords” represents the first high-raid dungeon of the MMO. Here you fight your way through three versions of the dungeon, each with a higher difficulty level. In groups of five or ten players, you will face particularly powerful opponents and confront challenging boss monsters that you can only defeat with good tactics as a group.
Are you worthy to learn the sword techniques of Monethir?
The Altar of the Swords was the main battlefield during the War of the Five Wardens and now practically glows with an almost palpable aura of hatred, threatening to suffocate mortals who enter this place. According to legend, the soul of the founder of the Blademaster School – Monethir – still wanders through this cursed place. He is just waiting to pass on his sword techniques to those who prove themselves worthy.
The new assassin class is not part of the Uprising update and will find its way into the RPG in November.
The Uprising update will be released this September for the MMORPG Revelation Online.

The ranked games in Overwatch will be revised for the next season. Seasons will now last only two months instead of three. Other changes include the control maps and the decay of the skill rating. In a video, Jeff Kaplan explains what we can expect.
For the new sixth season in Overwatch, the developers have thought of a few changes that are supposed to improve gameplay. One of the most significant changes is that the duration of the seasons has been reduced from 3 months to 2 months. Also, you will now have to play fewer ranked matches per week to prevent your skill rating from automatically decreasing.
All important changes for the 6th season in Overwatch are explained here.
Season Duration and Placement Matches
In the developer video, Jeff Kaplan explains to the Overwatch community what changes are coming to ranked matches and why these changes are being tested. First, he addresses the duration of the seasons.
A season is now supposed to last only two months instead of three. The reason for this is that especially at the beginning of a season, the games are much more competitive and players try harder. Additionally, the game is more fun at the start when you earn your placement. The shorter duration of the seasons is initially a test in which Blizzard wants to find out whether this is more enjoyable.
Although the seasons are now shorter, you should still earn “about” the same amount of competitive points per year.
Minor changes to the decay of the skill rating: Instead of seven games, you will now only have to play 5 games (at Diamond rank and higher) per week for your skill rating not to automatically decay. If you do reach the point where the rating decays, you will lose only 25 instead of 50 rating. Further changes to the skill rating decay are planned for future seasons.
Control Maps
The developers noticed that many of the matches on control maps go into overtime. Because there is currently a best of 5 system (one team must win 3 games), a match takes particularly long.
For season 6, there will therefore be a best of 3 system. The team that can win two games first will win.
Placements are supposed to work more accurately
In seasons 4 and 5, Blizzard intentionally placed you a little below the rank you actually deserved. However, this did not feel good for many players and also for Blizzard. “It felt wrong to intentionally place you lower so that you could see better progress in your skill rating.”
The placements in season 6 are now supposed to correspond more accurately to your skill rating.
More balance in matchmaking
Blizzard wants to achieve more balance in matches in Overwatch. Especially players with high skill ratings had problems because often matches occurred where the teams were unbalanced and one dominated.
With the new balance, matchmaking will take a little longer, but it will prefer the two teams for a match that have win chances of about 50%.
If this suddenly increases the duration of the matchmaking search, you don’t have to worry. Blizzard is keeping a close eye on this part of the changes and will implement adjustments if the system is not satisfactory.

The first raid of Hearthstone is live! Visitors of Gamescom must deal 1,000,000 damage to Arthas.
Since Blizzard said goodbye to the physical “World of Warcraft Trading Card Game” and instead launched Hearthstone, there has been a desire that players around the world longed for: raids.
In raids, multiple players could then face a particularly tough boss like Onyxia at the same time – very similar to what happens in the real World of Warcraft.
At Gamescom 2017, Blizzard has now made this dream come true and unveiled a first raid boss for Hearthstone!
This battle is, however, exclusively designed for visitors of Gamescom. Players must compete in duels against the Lich King. They essentially have “2 attempts” per match. They choose a first hero and fight until they die. Afterwards, they can choose a second hero. The game suggests that with the hero switch, another player should also take over control – but who does that?

Arthas is a real powerhouse. He has not only 1,000,000 health points but also a deck with which he can defeat all enemies in just a few moves.
The goal is also not to defeat him alone – that is not possible with the pre-made decks – but rather to deal as much damage as possible to him.
The total damage dealt by all visitors of Gamescom will be added up. Will the players manage to deal a million damage by the end of the event?
In general, this is a promotion for the Fireside Gatherings, which Blizzard wants to support more strongly. These are small events where players actually meet on-site and play a few rounds of Hearthstone in a bar or beer garden and get to know each other. There is even supposed to be a special Brawl that is only available at these Fireside Gatherings.
Cortyn says: More than a funny gimmick, the concept is not much at the moment. While it is funny when the game encourages you to play this mode in pairs and to hand over control in the middle to your teammate, it feels forced and inappropriate. I can only hope that this is just a small push to feel how such events resonate within the community. The concept doesn’t really blow me away – it somewhat reminds me of the raids from Pokemon: GO.
Bungie reveals more information about the PC version at Gamescom. There are updates regarding the controls on PC and what adjustments were necessary compared to the consoles.
Due to the more precise control with mouse and keyboard, some players feared that the content of Destiny 2 could become too easy on PC. Does this circumstance lead to separate balancing on the platforms?
Controller versus Mouse and Keyboard
The majority of the balancing revolves around Justin Truman, the Gameplay Lead at Bungie, not about “PC versus console”, but rather “controller versus mouse and keyboard“. Adjustments were made in the PC version so that mouse and keyboard would feel “right”.
This includes a series of smaller adjustments, such as the positioning of the crosshair on the screen, the recoil behavior, and the vibration effect, which is not present on PC.
According to Truman, it is less about logical, comprehensible algorithms, but rather about the right feeling one has while gaming.
Instant Switching Between Controller and Mouse and Keyboard
PC players are not forced to use just one input device. You can use both mouse and keyboard while keeping the connected controller nearby.
You can now easily switch between the peripherals. The game automatically recognizes which device you are interacting with and makes the necessary adjustments automatically.
The Beta on PC is Under Close Observation
Truman further states that Bungie wants to use the beta on PC, which starts next week, to make final adjustments. All aspects are closely monitored. In particular, the feedback from players regarding weapon behavior and controls will be examined in detail.
The Patch 7.3 will be the last major content patch for World of Warcraft: Legion. However, this does not mean that the story will be concluded. Game Director Ion Hazzikostas discussed the current status of the story in an interview at gamescom.
Hazzikostas says about 7.3: “It is the last major patch, yes. When it comes to large, open zones to explore, raid tiers, dungeons, and such. But it is not the end of the story of Legion.”
Even though 7.3 is the last major patch of WoW: Legion, Hazzikostas emphasizes that large content patches are not the only way to tell stories. There are now smaller and larger ways to continue the story. New techniques allow for this.
Hazzikostas gives as an example the 10-week campaign that led to the opening of the Night Fortress. Or the moment when Harbingers filled the streets of Dalaran. Or the moment when Argus suddenly appeared in the sky over Azeroth.
At Blizzard, they appreciate having different ways to bring game content to WoW. Ideally, this should prevent content droughts.
The upcoming Patch 7.3 for World of Warcraft: Legion is just around the corner, and with it, the anticipated Raid Antorus that comes with 7.3.5. Especially tanks can look forward to this raid, as the probably best trinkets for defense specialists await already at the second boss.
Antorus’ second boss will please tanks
The second boss of the raid consists of two individual bosses, the felhounds of Sargeras: F’harg and Shatug. The two dogs require good coordination from the tanks, as they need to be spread apart. Although they share health points, they become stronger when they are too close together.
The trinkets reflect this cooperation of the tanks well. These are the trinket pair “Eyes of the Hounds”: the Eye of F’harg and the Eye of Shatug. The Eye of F’harg comes with strength or agility and bonus stats, while the Eye of Shatug offers stamina and versatility.
Eye for an Eye!
There is an execution that mainly absorbs magic damage, and one that is more intended for physical damage. If two players with tank specialization wear different eyes, both receive armor or versatility from the other player as long as they are nearby.
The special twist: When the trinkets are used, they transform into the other. With good coordination from the tanks, targets that cause physical or magical damage can thus be taken over, while the strengthening buffs remain consistently active.
Benedict says: A great idea that requires a little more communication and strengthens the group feeling in raids – at least if the trinkets are really that strong or even necessary for tougher modes.
What do you think? Is the idea good or should equipment function better on its own? Would a similar combination of trinkets be conceivable for healers or damage classes? Let us know your opinion!
A team competition in Battlefield 1 is coming your way, rewarding teamwork, skill, and strategy. Work together to win.
The large 64-player battles are a special highlight in Battlefield 1, which players enjoy taking advantage of. However, the new mode will significantly reduce the teams and focus the maps on a smaller area.
Incursions starts in September in the alpha phase and is designed for competition. Sign-ups for testing are still open for a few more days.
Incursions – Game Mode in Battlefield 1
During Gamescom 2017, Electronic Arts and DICE announced the new game mode Incursions for Battlefield 1. The mode is a new competitive experience developed in conjunction with the community.
You fight on tight maps in a 5-vs-5 mode and must prove your teamwork. You have soldiers and one vehicle per team to choose from.
You play as soldiers as “Kits” – a subcategory of the regular classes.
With each kit, you can fulfill specific roles that advance you on the battlefield. During the closed alpha, the following eight kits are available:
Medic: The team medic heals team members and revives them.
Support Leader: He disrupts visibility with plenty of smoke grenades, forms the rear line of the squad, and can spawn outside of combat.
Assault Pioneer: As a specialist in taking out vehicles, the assault pioneer is the nightmare of every vehicle driver.
Combat Mechanic: The combat mechanic mainly controls the team’s vehicles. Movement and positioning make the great vehicle driver.
Mortar Support: Rains explosives on enemies and provides allies with ammunition. In short – excels at controlling areas from a distance.
Assault Leader: The assault leader moves at the forefront and can set spawn points for reinforcements.
Shock Trooper: The shock trooper is effective against both infantry and vehicles. He is a versatile all-rounder when it comes to making BOOM.
Scout: Excels at gathering information for the team and using that information to take out enemies up close.
When the competitive season for this mode starts is not yet known. First, the gameplay experience will be refined. You can still register for the closed alpha until August 27, 2017, at 08:59 CEST. This will then start in September. Here’s how to sign up for the alpha on battlefield.com

Fans of SWTOR will have to wait a bit longer. Due to a critical bug, update 5.4 has been delayed.
Originally, the new patch 5.4 for Star Wars: The Old Republic was supposed to go live today (08/22/2017). However, the patch Crisis on Umbara has been postponed at the last minute.
As Community Manager Eric Musco announced in the official forum, the reason is a critical bug that was only noticed now. This bug can prevent individual players from completing a significant portion of the gameplay in Crisis on Umbara. For example, the intro cinematic of the new Flashpoint is not played, and it may be impossible to re-enter the instance. Ultimately, this would mean that almost all content of the patch would not be accessible to the affected players.

Thus, patch 5.4 for SWTOR will only be deployed tomorrow, on 08/23/2017, when the error has been fixed. This also means that the current PvP season will last one day longer. The last chance for all players to fight for a high rating.
As a small consolation, BioWare has decided to drastically reduce the costs of the new Galactic Stronghold (The Train from Umbara). Instead of 2 million credits, the stronghold will only cost 5,000 credits. How quickly real estate loses value (although a train is actually … never mind).
Are you still playing SWTOR and looking forward to the new patch? Or are you waiting for the announcement for possibly the next addon?
The abilities of Kel’Thuzad, the latest hero from Heroes of the Storm, have been revealed. We show you what the Lich has to offer!
In Blizzard’s preview trailer for Gamescom 2017, Kel’Thuzad was introduced as a new hero. He has already been added to the official Heroes of the Storm site today, giving us insight into the playstyle of the character.
Kel’Thuzad is a Lich and the top servant of Arthas, the Lich King. In Warcraft 3, he was the leader of the Cult of the Damned and was responsible for the outbreak of the plague that ultimately brought the Scourge to life. Even before his death, he was a powerful wizard, but with his rebirth as a Lich in the Sunwell, his power grew once again.
Kel’Thuzad is a late bloomer
In Heroes of the Storm, Kel’Thuzad is an Assassin and can use several abilities that he already possessed in Warcraft 3. Let’s take a look at Kel’Thuzad’s abilities.
Kel’Thuzad’s passive ability is Master of Icy Darkness and a passive quest. Whenever Kel’Thuzad hits an enemy with Frost Nova or Chains of Kel’Thuzad, he gains a stack of Pestilence. Reward: At 15 stacks, the cooldown of all basic abilities is reduced by 2 seconds. At 30 stacks, Kel’Thuzad’s ability power is increased by 75%.
Death and Decay creates a projectile that is launched after 0.5 seconds and explodes on the first enemy hit, dealing damage. It leaves a damage zone behind that deals additional damage over 2 seconds.
The Frost Nova is triggered after a delay of 1 second, deals medium damage, and slows affected enemies. Targets at the center of the Nova are additionally rooted for one second.
Chains of Kel’Thuzad is a powerful control ability. The hero throws a chain that deals damage to the first enemy hero or building hit. The chain can then be thrown at another target within 4 seconds. Both enemies are then pulled together and briefly stunned.
The first heroic ability is Frostbite. An ice meteor is launched at an enemy hero. The target suffers minor damage, but all enemies in the vicinity take significant damage (essentially a reverse Firebolt). All hit targets are briefly rooted.
The second heroic ability is Shadow Rift. Kel’Thuzad creates a rift somewhere with infinite range that explodes after 1.5 seconds, dealing high damage.
Kel’Thuzad will thus be a wizard who only fully unfolds his potential late, when he has completed the quest Master of Eternal Darkness. Only those who hit many enemies with their abilities early on can be a strong ally towards the end of the match.
What do you think of Kel’Thuzad as the new hero? “Cool” character or are his abilities too inappropriate?
In addition to the main missions in Far Cry 5, you can pass the time with trucks, seaplanes, and tractors. More laid-back players take up fishing and pull fish from the water.
Sure, Far Cry 5 is mainly about shooting and a doomsday cult whose plans you are supposed to thwart. But besides the missions, there should also be time to relax. With airplanes, you can view the map from above and drop a bomb or two on enemy targets. With the tractor, you not only flatten fields but also opponents. And if that’s still too much action for you, grab a fishing rod, stand by a lake, and catch a few fish from the water.
Far Cry 5 – Gameplay and Walkthrough
At Gamescom 2017, visitors can now try out and play Far Cry 5 themselves. Those who are not on-site can make do with new gameplay videos, such as the one from Arekkz.
The FC5 demo has reportedly been around since E3 2017, but apparently hasn’t been shown until now.
It’s difficult to get a “real” impression of the gameplay from the 13-minute demo. What is clear is that there is a lot of variety, and you don’t see the same things repeatedly when you’re in Hope County. The environment looks beautiful, and the developers clearly had an eye for detail. You quickly feel like grabbing your dog “Boomer” and exploring the world.

If you want to see the whole thing presented in a more “structured” way, you’re in luck. In the extended walkthrough, the creators explain more about the game. Learn more about air combat or how Boomer can bring you important weapons that will help you in the fight. They also introduce you to the Widowmaker. A truck described as a “ram on wheels”. With that, you can easily clear obstacles like opponents or roadblocks.

The raids in Pokémon GO are a difficult topic. Some get too little of them, while others are already fed up.
In June 2017, the raids were introduced for Pokémon GO and were initially a reason for many trainers to go on Pokémon adventures more often. Nowadays, opinions are divided on the matter.
Players in rural areas can participate in battles less frequently due to a lack of fellow players. Others are already complaining that they are annoyed by the raids. Does Niantic need to improve this?
Time pressure when collecting monsters
The protective measures for the raids in PoGO are now a thing of the past – players criticize the system introduced by Niantic, which still has a few issues. Depending on their location, trainers have a hard time assembling teams for a raid – there are too few trainers in villages.
Although a few raids can also be completed alone or with a few teammates, the higher difficulty levels require larger groups. Together, one then defeats the raid boss and has a chance to catch it. Initially, there were regular Pokémon as bosses that you could also find in the game. You can find a raid difficulty overview here
Last month, the four legendary birds Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, and Lugia were released, which can only be found in these raids. However, these are only available in the game for a limited time and have a low catch rate.
Players in rural areas now have even more pressure if they want to catch one of the legendary monsters, and must go to places where several trainers gather. The announcement of the exclusive raids with Mewtwo didn’t improve the mood either.
In exclusive raids, Pokémon GO players can “soon” catch Mewtwo. Exclusive in this case means that players are invited to the raids. In the official statement it says:
“Unlike the current raid battles, trainers will be invited to the exclusive ones. To receive an invitation, trainers must have recently participated in a raid battle at the gym where the exclusive raid battle will appear.”
Which gyms are eligible or what “recently” means has not been clarified by Niantic until today. Trainers have every right to be dissatisfied. A user on Reddit writes:
I am actually a casual player and do not spend money on Pokémon GO. However, in the last few weeks, I have not been able to maintain this playstyle because with the poor communication from Niantic about when the legendary birds will be deactivated again, it has not been possible. I had to play legendary raids to complete my Pokédex. And there were very many, because the catch rate is so low. So I either had to say goodbye to my casual playstyle or stop collecting. And now I’m supposed to do it all over again? Just hoping that many coincidences come together and I can catch a Mewtwo?
He describes that his raid exhaustion comes from more than just the raids themselves. Only a few Pokémon are useful in gyms and raids. So he has to improve Pokémon that he doesn’t actually like with TMs to be helpful in the raids. He would rather play with his favorites and use them in raids or gyms, but they wouldn’t help much there.
When Mewtwo will become available in Pokémon GO for us is still unclear. The first players were already able to catch Mewtwo in Japan. After the battle against this raid boss, they had a 100% catch rate, which many trainers found unfair.
One thing is for sure: Raid battles have significantly changed Pokémon GO. Whether positively or negatively is currently unclear.

The launch trailer for Destiny 2 shows some exciting things. To make sure you don’t miss anything, here is our trailer analysis!
Yesterday evening, on August 21, Bungie released the launch trailer for Destiny 2 just in time for the start of Gamescom 2017. Many Guardians agree in the comments under the video that this was a really strong trailer – but that’s not too much of a surprise: Bungie has already proven several times that they can make trailers.
In the meantime, the community has searched every single frame of the trailer for interesting things. What they found, we will show you below.
The speaker, a void blaster – and sparrow fights?
At the beginning of the trailer, there is a scene that can cause a lot of confusion – at least if you don’t read Mein-MMO daily. An old, rather ugly Cabal character is speaking to Ghaul. This is the Consul. There is no doubt about that, as in some versions of the trailer a subtitle appears indicating “The Consul” as the speaking person:
The Consul is a lifelong friend of Ghaul and according to the project lead Mark Noseworthy, he acts as a mentor for Ghaul, like a coach on the sidelines. Apparently, the Consul is the character who pulls the strings behind the scenes.
In this scene, we also get an important piece of information: The Cabal have kidnapped the Speaker. There were fan theories that the Speaker could be a “bad” character, collaborating with the Cabals, or even the Consul himself. However, the trailer clearly shows that the Speaker is being held against his will:
Here we see Hawthorne – a new character we meet on the Farm. Apparently, she can also handle a sniper:
On the right side, there is a Guardian in armor that looks a lot like “Vex”:
Here, Zavala grabs a weapon from a Cabal.
In this scene, Ikora Rey shoots with a shotgun on a Sparrow. In Destiny 1, it was not possible to use weapons on a Sparrow. Presumably, this will also not be possible in Destiny 2, even though some Guardians are now speculating about it – but it looks cool in the trailer:
This Hunter has an interesting weapon in hand – possibly an Exotic:
Which weapon type it can be assigned to is hard to say. The gun seems to fire explosive Void lasers. In this video by Unknown Player, you can see it (position marked at 1:18):

At the end of the launch trailer, two Guardians are fighting against a towering Hobgoblin of the Vex. When we will encounter the enemy in Destiny 2 remains to be seen. It looks like a strike boss:
Here you can see a large door on Io that resembles the Glass Chamber:
