At launch, you can initially test PlayStation Now for 7 days: First, go to the PlayStation Store on the PS4 home screen and scroll to the “PlayStation Now” tab. There you can select “start free trial” to set up a subscription and request your seven free days.
If you have already completed the seven-day trial subscription, you can choose “Join Now”. Or you first look at the free games and then select “Subscription” and “Launch App”. The PS Now app will then be added to the home screen. In the app, you will see and stream all available games.

We spoke with a young man who has earned money from video games. However, not as a developer or pro player, but as a gold seller.
Dirk (name changed by the editorial team) had the same hobbies at 12 as most boys his age: soccer and computer games. He was particularly taken with MMORPGs: Regnum Online, World of Warcraft, and the first Guild Wars.
Those who have gold succeed
He really got into gaming in 2009 with the Asian MMORPG Aion. He was 15 then. The game with the wings awakened his ambition.
Just as Dirk wanted to get the most out of soccer, he soon aspired to greater heights in MMORPGs. He realized early on that everything in Aion depended on the in-game currency. With it, you could buy better equipment and be more successful and stronger than others.
Instead of earning the gold himself, Dirk started buying Aion gold from various sites. He quickly realized that he hit limits with his pocket money.
In 2012, the MMORPG Guild Wars launched, and Dirk was 18 years old and tested a bot for the first time. A bot is a program that automatically controls a character, even when you are not at the computer.
Dirk invested 10€ in a bot, which then brought him in-game currency worth 50€ per day. A great deal. Quickly, Dirk’s ambition was sparked: Soon he had several bots running. When that was still too slow, he acquired more accounts and bot licenses. The gold flowed. In no time, some of the coveted legendaries in Guild Wars 2 belonged to him.
When his character in Guild Wars 2 was optimally equipped, botting for personal use had actually become unnecessary. But it was still so much fun and going well.
At 19, earned 1,500€ a month as a gold seller
Then Dirk had the idea that he could also sell the gold for real money. Dirk became a gold seller, a second computer was needed. At that time, at 19, Dirk earned about 1,500€ a month selling gold. He invested more and more time into it.
Dirk started creating mesh routes for Guild Wars 2. With these custom farming routes where the bot runs, the chances of the bot being caught and banned are lower. The efficiency of the route is crucial. Dirk spent hours refining the perfect paths for the bots.
Nevertheless, it always happened that an account got banned. But then Dirk simply bought new accounts. Through the steady sale of gold, it remained lucrative. By now, bots were running on three computers, day and night, following routes for him. Dirk had given up playing soccer after an injury.
After his parents had separated, Dirk lived with his father, who was often away for work. His father trusted him to have everything under control. Dirk’s school performance had always been okay – so far.
What to do when the gold price falls?
The initial hobby had now turned into its own business and Dirk had built a network of clients. The demand kept increasing. The next logical step for Dirk was to buy gold himself and sell it to his customers at a profit. During that time, Dirk made about 3,000€ a month.
This worked for a while. However, gold selling took up so much time that there was no more time left for school. Dirk treated himself to his own apartment with the money, so it wouldn’t be noticeable that he wasn’t attending school.
But then the gold price in Guild Wars 2 dropped, and thus Dirk’s career was in danger: Profits were steadily decreasing.
As the gold prices slowly fell and the income dwindled, Dirk had the next idea: Instead of offering gold, he now sold his optimized farm routes to customers. The target audience was thrilled: Custom farming routes tailored just for them that no one else had.
To attract even more attention, Dirk published some of the mesh routes as a “sample” in relevant forums. He couldn’t handle all the demand. He sold between 20 and 30 routes per day, with prices ranging from 10€ to 500€.
18 hours of hard work
At that time, Dirk’s gold selling business reached its peak. In four months, he made about 40,000€. But the hobby had turned into a full-time job. Since many of his customers lived in different time zones, Dirk slept at night with a headset on, was always on call, woke up, made the deal, and went back to sleep.
Dirk was busy with his “job” for 18 hours a day. He stored loot in various guild banks, monitored everything, and kept it running. When another player approached his bots, he slipped into the bot, talked to other players, acted normally so that no one suspected there was a bot that needed to be reported. But time was running out for Dirk.
His father eventually wanted to see a report card, which Dirk could not provide. So the father called the school and learned that his son had not been there for a long time. When it was revealed what Dirk had been doing with his time, his father felt mixed emotions. While he was proud of his son’s entrepreneurial spirit, he did not like that he had skipped the expensive private school.
The father, a doctor, advised his son to do “something real”.
Dirk was also dissatisfied with his life as a gold seller. He had a slight burnout and was “pretty done”, as he puts it. After the injury, he had stopped playing sports. He had invested part of his earnings in delivery services and had packed on some pounds.
Dirk has earned several tens of thousands of euros from botting and gold selling in Guild Wars 2. He rented an apartment, paid for his driver’s license with the money, and bought a nice car, but he also stressed himself so much that he was glad when it all came to an end.
Not recommended to imitate
Dirk wouldn’t recommend a career as a gold seller to anyone. It is an insecure job – bots can be banned at any time, the gold price can drop, and existence hangs by a thread.
Dirk was also lucky that his career as a gold seller remained without worse consequences for him. He didn’t think at that time about paying taxes. Naively, he assumed that if someone wanted money from him, they would come to him. Today he knows better and wants to remain anonymous in conversation. He fears it could lead to unpleasant consequences for him.
Dirk says he met other people who wanted to make a living from gold selling and who relied on supposedly secure MMORPGs like Aion or WoW. However, they didn’t yield nearly as much as his cash cow, Guild Wars 2, at least in the beginning. Although Dirk also says: When he adds up the hours, he hardly earned minimum wage.
Dirk is now 23 and a computer scientist with a perfectly normal job. He especially enjoys the much shorter working hours. However, he does miss his time as a gold seller a little.
Dirk says: It was a great feeling to be my own boss and earn money myself. Eventually, Dirk plans to become self-employed again. As it is, he knows by now.
We report here about another case of someone who made money with MMORPGs:
In the Dino MMO ARK Survival Evolved 33% of its servers will be shut down before the release. You can read which servers on PS4, Xbox One, and PC are affected here. The servers that make it to the release will also no longer receive customer support.
On the launch day, a whole bunch of new servers will go online. The old servers will continue as “Legacy Servers,” but will no longer receive customer support.
But not all “old servers” will make it to the launch: one-third of them will be shut down.

But those who are now happy and say “Yay, my server is safe,” should still consider starting on a new server at release.
The “old servers” that make it to the release will become “Legacy Servers,” but will receive no more customer support from ARK. All existing tickets will be deleted, and new tickets will not be accepted.
Information on how the new servers will be distributed, and how many there will be for PvE and PvP has not yet been released by ARK.
Background: Dupe Bug
The reason that the old servers are being treated this way is likely that the existing servers of ARK are affected by a serious Dupe exploit. ARK originally wanted to perform a complete wipe, but decided against it to uphold previous promises.
Instead, they plan to launch a number of new servers at the full release and keep the old ones running. Anyone planning to play ARK at launch should get used to the idea of starting on a new server.
Not much longer, and fans of space games will be able to dive into the universe of the online game Dual Universe.
The date of the Pre-Alpha is set: On September 30, it will be ready, and a first – still very early – version of the MMO will be available.

Kel’Thuzad’s passive ability is Master of the Frozen Darkness and a passive quest. Whenever Kel’Thuzad hits an enemy with Frost Nova or Chains of Kel’Thuzad, he gains a stack of Plague. Reward: At 15 stacks, the cooldown of all basic abilities is reduced by 2 seconds. At 30 stacks, Kel’Thuzad’s ability power is increased by 75%.
Death and Decay creates a sphere that is thrown after 0.5 seconds and explodes on the first enemy hit, dealing damage. It leaves a damage area that deals additional damage over 2 seconds.
The Frost Nova triggers after a 1 second delay, dealing medium damage and slowing affected enemies. Targets in the center of the Nova are rooted for an additional second.
Chains of Kel’Thuzad is a powerful control ability. The hero throws a chain that deals damage to the first enemy hero or structure hit. Then, the chain can be thrown at another target within 4 seconds. Both enemies are then pulled together and briefly stunned.
The first heroic ability is Frost Strike. An ice meteor is thrown at an enemy hero. The target takes low damage, but all enemies in the area take high damage (essentially a reversed Pyroblast). All affected targets are briefly rooted.
The second heroic ability is Shadow Rift. Kel’Thuzad creates a rift somewhere with infinite range that explodes after 1.5 seconds and deals high damage.
And obviously, Kel’Thuzad has also watched a little too much Game of Thrones. Unofficial video footage of Destiny 2 has surfaced. Among other things, a mysterious vendor can be seen. What is it all about?

Destiny 2 leak video shows gameplay – and a mysterious vendor
At the end of the leaked video from yesterday (We have already reported on the details), the Guardian enters a decaying ruin. At a destroyed window waits an NPC named Devrim Kay who seems to be some kind of representative of the European Dead Zone EDZ.
What stands out: Similar to Destiny 1, this NPC is both a faction member and a vendor. Instead of the legendary gear familiar from Destiny 1, this NPC only offers equipment of normal quality.
Whether this means that factions in later locations will offer rarer loot or if the quality changes after completing the main story is not yet known – but it leaves room for speculation.
Legendary loot when leveling up
In the following image, the Guardian has reached a level up with the faction and thus earned legendary loot. This is analogous to the level ups of the factions in Destiny 1.
The strength of the reward is indicated as 206. Whether this is based on the levels of the Guardians or the recommended strength of this part of the EDZ is also up for debate.
The reward for leveling up the faction is two legendary weapons for the power slot, presumably a shotgun and a rocket launcher.
Mysterious is the third reward – a Dead Zone bark – that is subtitled with shader. Usually, you only need one of these, but here there are two of these items as a reward. Are these weapon or armor shaders? One can be curious!
Also nice: The Glimmer cap has been raised. In the top right of the image, the Glimmer count is indicated as 50,720. Whether this will lead to hyperinflation in Destiny 2 or if Guardians are simply allowed to carry more reserves will be revealed at the latest in September.
The community has wished for NPCs and vendors spread all over the world, with whom they can interact, who give quests and loot, and with whom one can simply chat. This wish seems to have been granted by Bungie.

The release of update 0.71.0 of Pokémon GO will take a bit longer. Niantic has now halted the roll-out.
The new update for Pokémon GO apparently causes many issues. As Niantic now announces, trainers will have to wait longer for the new patch. How long we will have to wait for the release is uncertain. The reason for the delay is latency issues that significantly degrade the gaming experience.
Update 0.71.0 release delayed
Even before the official release of the Pokémon GO update 0.71.0, trainers managed to access the patch by downloading the APK. It became apparent that the update still causes some problems. For example, lag and latency issues are a significant problem.

Trainers relieved – Don’t have to wait for a hotfix
In response to this announcement, many trainers write that they are relieved by this news. There have been many negative messages about the update in recent hours. They feared it would take weeks for a hotfix to come afterward, and they would have to play with the problems until then.

Apparently, this is just the beginning. Blizzard announced immediately after the release of the cinematic that the characters shown will appear in many more stories. There will be “a whole series of cinematics and comics” that will cover stories around the popular tavern. They want to give players the feeling of being “at home” in this place – and therefore bring more stories from the tavern.

However, the characters – at least at first glance – lack a bit of soul to really build interest. At least for me, there are currently no burning questions under my fingernails that I want answered. For the MMO shooter Destiny 2, a new video has surfaced. It shows gameplay from the European Dead Zone. Apparently, it is a leak.
While Bungie only showcases what everyone already knows at Gamescom, this video is the find of the day. The video features 15 minutes from the new area “European Dead Zone.” It includes a new area, public events, adventures, loot, and more.
The video is evidently a leak from a test environment of Destiny 2 and not meant for you to see it right now.

These tokens can be exchanged at an NPC merchant, Devrim Kay.

Niantic is launching an attack on the spoofers. Since Wednesday morning, many cheaters in Pokémon GO have been warned or even banned.
Some players in the Pokémon GO community gain advantages over decent players with the help of third-party software. Spoofers use apps that allow them to change their GPS location and deceive other programs – like Pokémon GO – into thinking they are located in Berlin instead of Buxtehude, for example. They often teleport to rare monsters or gyms without having to go there “in real life”.
Once again, Niantic is taking action against these fraudsters. This time apparently effectively.
New round in the fight against spoofers
Since this morning, reports of warned and banned spoofers have been increasing on Reddit. Reddit user derBirx mentions that spoofers on a Discord server are suddenly complaining about the red-black warnings appearing on their devices.
The warnings indicate that users are utilizing unauthorized third-party programs. Such reports already surfaced in March in Pokémon GO.
The special thing is that many spoofers have previously been spared from these warnings. But that seems to have changed in the last few hours. Some spoofers are said to have received not just a warning but a ban directly.
Initially, there were only reports about affected cheaters on Android devices, but now iOS users are also said to be affected by the measures. On the Discord server, a banned spoofer reports his encounter with the ban hammer:
Cautious hope in the community
Other Reddit users are receiving this information with curiosity. The joy is often great when fraudsters are banned from the game. However, people are now only cautious and do not want to celebrate just yet. Perhaps not that many players are affected after all.
It will likely take the next few days to show how many spoofers are banned and how effective this measure from Niantic is.
Some players quietly hang out in spoofer groups on social networks like Facebook or Discord to see how the feedback is there. User ShadowDash1089 does the same. He says that many GPS cheaters have been complaining about these warnings in the last few hours, although they never used IV-checkers, bots, or multi-accounts. These programs have previously been the reasons for the appearance of the warning. In previous ban waves, spoofers often escaped this.
Patch 7.3 of World of Warcraft has a release date. And there is also a nice cinematic!

With the release of Patch 7.3, players will be summoned to the Exodar by Prophet Velen. There, the Vindicaar, a small part of the Exodar, is ready for departure. All the important characters (and especially plenty of Draenei) have gathered to take the fight to Argus.
But Illidan is also on board the ship, once again playing the edgelord of evil conscience by questioning Velen’s actions. Is it really the path of light that Velen is still following? Or is that just an excuse he has been using for millennia to remain inactive?
The conflicts between Illidan, Velen, and the Army of Light will surely be further developed in the upcoming cinematics. Alleria and Turalyon will also have their say on Argus.
Although Patch 7.3 will be released next week, the raid “Antorus, the Burning Throne” will not be unlocked at the same time. Players are still busy with the Tomb of Sargeras, and there is “plenty of story on Argus” to experience.

The new patch 2.6.1 for Diablo 3 is available on the test server for a few days now. Blizzard has now made some adjustments based on player feedback.
Blizzard aims to strengthen the weaker classes and sets with the new patch so that players can experiment with as many builds as possible. The Barbarian has received extensive buffs to sets and legendary items, and the rather unpopular sets of the other classes have also been strengthened.
There is now a fresh update on the patch on the PTR, which is heavily based on feedback from testers. In addition to fixing bugs reported by players, weaker sets have been revised and changed again. We have the details for you.
Changes to Class Abilities
The Wizard’s skills have not been addressed in the new patch so far. This will change with the new update. The Rune Frost Sphere of the skill Arcane Orb has been significantly improved. Instead of 393%, the rune now deals 950% weapon damage. A massive buff.
Changes to Sets
Here Blizzard has once again made major adjustments. The “Wrath of the Wastes” set of the Barbarian has been made even stronger. Previously, you took 50% less damage as long as you used the ability Whirlwind. This buff now lasts longer, namely up to 3 seconds after using Whirlwind.

Also the Akkhan set of the Crusader, which has not shone in the meta so far, will be further improved. In addition to the buff to damage, the damage reduction will be increased from 20% to now 50%.
The biggest change has been experienced by the Crusader set Thorns of the Invoker. The increase in thorn damage after using Punish or Slash has been reduced from 115% to 70%.
Note: There is currently a bug on the PTR that causes the damage to be increased by only 35%, and not by 70%.
The damage buff when equipping the complete set has, on the other hand, been significantly increased again. Now you hit the first enemy with Punish or Slash for 2,500% thorn damage instead of the previous 1,600%.
The Demon Hunter should now shine with the set Natalya’s Vengeance. After triggering the skill Vengeance, you now deal 2,500% more damage (previously 750%).
Typically, such extensive patches are adopted into productive operation only after the ongoing season. Therefore, the update 2.6.1 can be expected no earlier than November.

The new map for PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is sandy and offers plenty of space and buildings to hide. Here are the first images.
During Gamescom, Brendan “PlayerUnknown” Greene gave players a first look at Battlegrounds’ new desert map. To be more precise: A city with lots of sand around. But don’t imagine it as a nice holiday spot, but more like a crazy ghost town in the desert.

At first glance at the new map, it becomes clear: There are many places to hide. The many opposing buildings also invite to shoot from window to window. If you want, you might find a cozy spot in the sand and spread out your towel while battles break out in the city for the various buildings.
In the distance, we can see more trees matching the suburban jungle, which may suggest a river or similar water supply.
If you look further into the distance, you can see steep mountains. Can we climb up there? From there, a sniper would have a good view of the players fleeing from the deadly battles in the city. So it’s a good opportunity to enjoy your chicken dinner with a nice view.
Previous work-in-progress images show a rough overview of the map and how its layout was planned or maybe still is. Here, the mentioned river is also emerging. The image shown above is presumably a view from the north towards the south with the stadium on the right side and the slums in the foreground.

The video is titled “Arriving in Adal.” At the beginning, you are arriving in the Adal kingdom – the area where Absolver takes place. After a short cinematic where you receive the mask, the video transitions into a tutorial.

There is still hope for crossplay between the PS4 and Xbox One consoles. Microsoft is talking with competitor Sony.
Playing together, even when on different platforms: that’s crossplay. Developers often say: Technically, it’s not a problem for players on PS4 and Xbox One to play together. We already have versions where this works internally, but Sony is blocking it.
Apparently, the market leader does not want its own players to be able to play with and against Xbox One gamers. The community should remain isolated. Those who want to play with their friends on PS4 should also buy a PS4.
On the sidelines of Gamescom, there was an interview with Aaron Greenberg, the marketing chief of Xbox One. However, the new tokens are not for nether shards, but for a new currency on Argus: Argunite. This is available on almost every corner, for killing rare enemies, world bosses, completing world quests, and so on.
In summary, the system bears a much closer resemblance to the Timeless Isle than to the Broken Shore – even weekly quests that require taking down a certain number of rare mobs tend to point more toward the Pandaria style.
Hazzikostas himself is most excited about the story content from a player’s perspective. Anyone who liked the Suramar campaign will love Argus and the stories surrounding Alleria, Turalyon, and the origins of the Draenei.
