What are the chances of catching a Mewtwo after a raid? The base catch rate has now been found in the code of Pokémon GO. This is higher than that of other legendary Pokémon.
In preparation for the new Mewtwo raids, something has changed in the code of Pokémon GO. The catch rate for Mewtwo has been set to 6% in the Game Master file. This is higher than that of other legendary Pokémon. However, a guaranteed catch is still far from certain with Mewtwo.
The first exclusive raids in Japan started a few hours ago, giving trainers the chance to defeat and catch the special Pokémon “Mewtwo”.
After the Yokohama event in Japan, trainers had high expectations for the Mewtwo raids. During the event, Mewtwo appeared in the game for the first time and rewarded successful raid participants with 50 Premier Balls and a 100% catch chance for the Pokémon.
This guaranteed the organizers a special reward for many trainers.
Due to this event, players in the community assumed that Mewtwo would have a relatively high catch chance when released for all trainers. This assumption is partially correct, as Mewtwo has a higher base catch rate than other legendary Pokémon. Nevertheless, it is only at 6%.
With the stated 6%, the experts from PokémonGOHub created a table where you can read your catch chances.
Studio Hi-Rez has entered into an exclusive partnership with Facebook for its hero shooter Paladins. The new Paladins Premiere League will be exclusively broadcast on Facebook’s new streaming platform “Watch”. The Premiere League is an eSports league founded by Hi-Rez together with the “World Esports Association” (WESA). You can find out how this partnership between Hi-Rez and Facebook came about here.
Together with the eSports association WESA, Studio Hi-Rez has founded the Paladins Premiere League. This is an eSports league that supports its professional players in their careers and pays a minimum salary. All revenue generated by the Paladins Premier League will be shared with the teams. 10 of the most well-known WESA eSports teams compete in the Premiere League, including Fnatic, G2 Esports, and SK Gaming.
With the Paladins Premiere League, Hi-Rez is now entering into an exclusive partnership with Facebook.
Starting in Fall 2017, there will be a Paladins eSports show on Watch every week. Watch is Facebook’s new service for shows and series, focusing on exclusive content. The show will feature top-tier gameplay, live coverage, and community-based features. Furthermore, there will be news, insights, and analyses from the competitive Paladins scene.
The CEO was surprised by the size of the Paladins community on Facebook
At Gamescom 2017, I had the opportunity to talk to Todd Harris, the CEO of Paladins.
I asked Harris how the partnership with Facebook came about. The idea emerged from the existing Paladins community there.
Todd Harris: “Facebook hit me like a ton of bricks. I looked around a while ago to see where our Paladins community was active. I stumbled upon a Facebook group for Paladins that was not set up by Hi-Rez. The group was twice as large as our Reddit, which we focus heavily on. That surprised me. We had a Facebook group created by the community that we had not shown any love to. So many people came together globally, we had to address that.
We first looked at what they were doing in the group – mainly posting memes. But that wasn’t all. On Facebook, people arranged to play together. They were looking for other players who wanted to play a few rounds or form professional teams. We don’t have that on our Reddit.”
Paladins CEO Todd Harris
Facebook has a growing interest in the gaming community
Also in the conversation was Patrick Chapman. He is responsible for gaming and eSports partnerships at Facebook. Facebook is also showing a growing interest in the eSports and gaming community.
Chapman noted that it is astonishing how many communities exist on Facebook that deal with games. This is actually still uncharted territory for the social media platform. Nevertheless, Facebook has about 800 million users interested in gaming. There are games played on Facebook, gaming groups, and pages. The gaming community is there.
When Facebook and Hi-Rez realized that there was mutual interest in further developing the professional eSports scene on Facebook, the Paladins Global Series was initiated.
The Global Series is a community league where amateur players can compete against each other in a professional, digital environment. The top matches of the Global Series will be streamed *only* via Facebook Live and will receive professional broadcasting. So far, the Global Series is the largest community eSports tournament in the world.
How do I get a Sparrow in Destiny 2? We will show you!
Every Guardian veteran must have wondered at least once after a few hours of gameplay in Destiny 2: “What is up with a Sparrow? Why am I walking all the time?”
In Destiny 1, it was a given that you traveled large distances with a Sparrow – a floating vehicle that could quickly take you from A to B. In Destiny 1, you got access to such a vehicle early in the campaign.
Destiny 2, on the other hand, is stingy with this means of transportation. You won’t get a Sparrow until you reach level 20 or successfully complete the story campaign.
Until then, you have to walk. Bungie ensures that you explore the worlds slowly before you race through them.
Note: The following contains massive story spoilers. Continue at your own risk.
Get / unlock Sparrow through the campaign
After the campaign, you will receive a guaranteed Sparrow.
A new social space will be unlocked, a new Tower. There you will find Amanda Holliday, who will give you a Sparrow for free as a thank you.
You can choose between these Sparrows:
Wayfarer Zero
Starchaser Zero
Moonrider Zero
After that, you can purchase more Sparrows from Ms. Holliday.
Receive Sparrows at Character Level 20 – Glamour Engrams
If you haven’t completed the story campaign yet but are already level 20, there is a way to get Sparrows earlier.
From level 20, you can receive Glamour Engrams and purchase them from Tess Everis for real money. These Glamour Engrams may contain Sparrows. However, there is no guarantee.

If you really want to drive vehicles in Destiny 2 but still don’t have a Sparrow, keep an eye out for enemy vehicles. The Fallen, for example, sometimes come into battle with Mosquito Gliders. Take them from them and race through the open world.
An update for the F2P MMORPG WildStar (PC) is live and fulfills a long-standing wish of the players – huge plots of land that can be built together as a community.
Since last night (09.06.2017), the latest patch of WildStar is now live. The patch named “Homecoming” is now active on the game’s mega-servers.
At the heart of the update is housing. The already extensive housing of WildStar has been further expanded and now allows players to team up with like-minded individuals. This merges the plots (“Sky-Plots”) together, resulting in a much larger housing area that can be adjusted according to the community’s desires.
To showcase what the latest update has to offer, a small trailer has been released, in which the community participated with impressive houses.

Cortyn says: I think it’s nice to see that WildStar is still receiving updates, even though I wonder if it’s still profitable. However, it must be said that the “communities” feature was announced shortly after the game’s release. So the development time has been quite long – but at least it has finally been released. Some games with an announced dance studio could learn a thing or two from this…
Don’t you know Transformice, the mouse MMO with 70 million players? We didn’t know it either.
Transformice is an indie game that is also available on Steam, but there it only has about 1,200 players active at the same time.
In principle, it is a platformer where you play as a mouse searching for cheese. Within two minutes, you need to reach the fragrant piece and bring it back. But that’s not easy at all, as you are not alone. Hundreds of players are also trying to reach the goal. This leads to chaos.
Who is the fastest mouse?
Each of the five million maps in the game offers different challenges that you must master to reach the cheese. These include obstacles that you need to overcome, shortcuts that must be found, and somehow you should outsmart your fellow players to be the first to reach the cheese.
After that, it gets even more fun, as you need to bring the cheese back and are pursued by other players trying to take the good piece from you.

Additionally, one player plays as the Shaman, who has special powers and can create objects that place more obstacles in the way of some mice while helping others to reach the goal faster. He can also transform mice, for example into planks, to allow other mice to cross a chasm.
The more mice a Shaman saves, the faster he levels up and can unlock new abilities through his skill tree, providing him with more options in further rounds. Seven official game modes, 200 official maps, dozens of player-created game modes, and over 5 million player-created maps provide plenty of variety.
A fantastic start
Transformice was programmed by a small indie team in three weeks and has reached about 70 million players over the past six years. During the developer conference GDC 2017, developer Melanie Christin spoke about this immense success. In the video, Christin explains that one night in the house where she was staying, she heard noises coming from the walls while lying in bed. She imagined that mice were crawling over each other to overcome obstacles and reach a piece of cheese. This gave rise to the idea for the game.
In May 2010, the game launched and was only promoted with a link through a small French forum, reaching a few hundred players. The website SomethingAwful took notice of the game and reported on it.
The reaction was surprising, the server crashed under the influx of players. There was no money for additional servers, so the team had to rely on inexpensive advertising and donations from fans. The game reached around 80,000 unique visitors per day, allowing the developers to earn about $11,000 by the end of 2010.
A bumpy development
The success enabled the team to establish a development studio and quickly double the player numbers through full-time jobs. But then Google banned the company from the Adsense program, leading to massive financial problems. Through some contacts, this ban was lifted. The ban occurred because the ad banner was the wrong size, which the team had overlooked in the fine print. In 2012, after a business model overhaul, the first major success was achieved with revenues of $250,000 per month.
2013 again turned out to be a disappointing year, as the developers realized they had grown too quickly. There followed some restructuring, and in 2014, the situation improved again. In 2015, the game was released on Steam, which went chaotically and was associated with credit card fraud. In 2016, events followed that did not go too well. The team repeatedly had to make adjustments, especially regarding the monetization of the game.
In retrospect, Melanie Christin explains that the team was too small at the beginning but then grew too quickly, they had known too little, especially regarding monetization, and they had neglected the mobile sector.
Developing games is a constant learning process that continues to evolve because the market and many conditions are constantly changing – for example, Adobe’s Flash, which is slowly being replaced by HTML5, which the team also has to respond to. Yet all of this does not stop the developers from wanting to continue to bring innovative games to the market.

The sandbox MMORPG Albion Online has received a new update that disrupts the game’s economy.
The resource gathering plays an important role in Albion Online since the economy in Albion is player-driven. However, the developers have intervened and reduced the respawn rate of Tier 2 and Tier 3 resources. The respawn rates of Tier 4 resources, on the other hand, have been slightly increased. This aspect of the game returns to the times before the official launch of the game.
The update also brought some bug fixes, including a problem that prevented players from gaining fame through crafting.
Long-term effects are yet to be seen
The impact on the economy is clearly noticeable. The respawn rate of the resources affects the production of the items for which the resources are needed.
In addition, players are now finding runes and souls much more often in the chests. Additionally, previously obtained portal locks will be lifted if you teleport back to the safe region within a minute after traveling to the Outlands. All of this results in Albion Online feeling noticeably different to play.
Players are currently divided in the forum over these changes. However, it is still too early to foresee the medium- and long-term effects of these changes.
In Destiny 2, many Guardians do not understand that shaders can only be used once. A new system is needed, that is being demanded!
In the subreddit for Destiny, the international Destiny 2 community discusses the daily news. Shaders in Destiny 2 are currently the top topic.
Several threads complaining about the new shader system are at the top of reddit and are receiving agreement and thousands of upvotes.
But why are the Guardians up in arms? What is it about?
Criticism of the new shader system
The problem with shaders in Destiny 2: Each shader can only be used once. It is a consumable item. When you apply a shader to an armor piece, only that piece of armor changes color. For the next piece of armor, you need a new shader.
Shaders are purely cosmetic items. They allow you to customize the colors of your gear. However, the appearance of one’s Guardian holds great importance for many players – and the most efficient method to obtain shaders is the in-game shop. This is upsetting many players.
A user compares the new shaders to chromatics from Destiny 1: Bungie transferred the worst feature of chromatics to the shaders in Destiny 2 – namely, that they are consumed after use. And chromatics were not well received in Destiny 1.
In Destiny 1, shaders were permanent items. In a collection, you could access all previously earned shaders at any time and use them as you wished.
Destiny 2 has now introduced three important changes to shaders:
They can be applied to armor pieces and weapons.
They can be applied to each piece of gear individually – this allows you to freely combine shaders and customize the look of your Guardian. In Destiny 1, a shader affected all armor pieces. Many Guardians welcome this change.
The change that shaders are consumed after application ruins the new shader system for many.
Players Call for Boycott
A Reddit user writes that Destiny 2 has brought many “Quality of Life” improvements, but this one shader change is not in the spirit of the players. He sees the only advantage as the new shaders bringing more money into the developers’ pockets. Because those who want shaders quickly have to go to Eververse, the in-game shop.
Another user doesn’t just criticize, he calls for tougher measures: He urges Guardians not to spend a single cent on microtransactions until Bungie makes shaders “unlimited” again. His boycott is under the hashtag #MakeFashionGreatAgain. Currently (September 7th around noon), he has already gathered over 36,000 upvotes – it is the top thread in the Destiny subreddit by a wide margin.
The user lists several arguments:
Consumable items, even if they drop frequently, are no improvement over permanent rewards.
You collect numerous items in Destiny 2, and each requires its own shader. This leads many Guardians to wait until they find their “optimal gear” before applying shaders. Otherwise, the shader is wasted. Especially in the initial hours, when you equip new items after each mission, it does not make sense to apply shaders. And the purpose of shaders should actually be to be used.
Moreover, it is repeatedly emphasized that Bungie only wants to take money from Guardians with this new shader system. Although there are several sources for shaders – they can also be found in chests in the open world – those who want shaders quickly and efficiently have to knock on Eververse’s door. This is seen as a rip-off.
It is suspected that this system could become an even bigger problem with “raid shaders”. Until you have the right shaders, you would have to play the raid multiple times.
Currently, we have no statement from Bungie on the matter. However, it seems unlikely that the shader system will be changed anytime soon.
What is your opinion on shaders as consumable items?
We have addressed the topic of “shaders” in a comment here:
PC players are waiting for the release of Destiny 2 at the end of October. What similar games to Destiny 2 can help pass the time until then?
It’s frustrating! Destiny is once again the gaming topic in September of a year, just like in 2014 and 2015. And probably, Destiny 2 will remain the number 1 gaming topic for the next 5 or 6 weeks.
You can’t escape Destiny 2 right now: Daily tons of news on this MMO site, friends talking about how they spent another 6 hours in Destiny 2 last night, and the videos really do look like it could be fun.
Once again, PC players are left out of the Destiny 2 party.
So what to do to survive the painfully long weeks until then? We want to present you some alternative games that we think will scratch where Destiny 2 fans are currently itching – and no body part is meant by that.
Games like Destiny 2: Warframe
Warframe has always been considered by many fans to be the “better Destiny”. The free-to-play game shares the science-fiction setting and MMO elements with Destiny. There’s loot, and you can customize your character, a space ninja. As Warframe, you punch, shoot, jump, and dive through missions. You fight against dark alien races.
What speaks for Warframe: The game has a lot of content and is lovingly designed. You can dive right in and find yourself in action-packed battles against hordes of aliens. The movement system is particularly a highlight of Warframe. If you dive deeper, you encounter surprisingly complex systems and can spend days with the game – just like with Destiny.
What speaks against Warframe? Nothing, but there are differences. Compared to Destiny 2, Warframe is a third-person shooter, the aesthetics are different than Destiny. But Warframe is a super action MMO for PC that is being well developed further. Currently, regular players are waiting for an “Open World,” which is supposed to come at the end of the year, but Warframe already has a lot to offer every player.
In the video, you see the raid battle against Mewtwo. Exclusive Pokémon GO raids have already started in Japan, giving trainers the chance to add this special monster to their collections. However, catching it is not easy.
The first exclusive raids in Pokémon GO started a few hours ago in Japan. Trainers there had the chance to battle the first Mewtwo in the game and then catch it. A Japanese Pokémon GO fan site documented the encounter in a stream.
Mewtwo Raid Video
Mewtwo is the new legendary Pokémon that is unlocked through exclusive raids in Pokémon GO. These exclusive raids have sparked a lot of discussion in recent weeks because no one knew exactly how these battles would unfold.
The first EX raid has now taken place in Japan and attracted trainers with a Mewtwo as the raid boss. The Pokémon fan site GameWith live-streamed the encounter with Mewtwo and made the video available on YouTube.
You can see the entire encounter, the exclusive raid pass, the battle, and much more. It also becomes clear that Mewtwo is not easy to catch. The exciting part of the video begins with the preparation for the raid battle at around 31 minutes. The battle starts at around 40 minutes.
Three minutes later, Mewtwo was defeated by Tyranitar, Rhydon, Lugia, and co, and the catching attempts began.

The glossy MOBA Paragon recently allowed its players to draw upgrade cards from real-money loot boxes. This led to a colossal shitstorm in the community and accusations of pay-to-win.
Paragon is a fast-paced MOBA with Unreal Engine quality graphics. New heroes and “cards” for upgrades are usually only available through progress in the game. This was promised among others by long-time former game director Steve Superville, who left Epic Games in spring 2017.
Therefore, there was considerable outrage in the community when suddenly real-money loot boxes appeared that contained cards in addition to skins!
Paragon – Fans do not want monetization like in a mobile game
Fans were outraged multiple times over the loot crates. On one hand, because they offered cards, and on the other hand, because the high RNG factor didn’t even guarantee the best loot. Understandably, the community went completely crazy and flooded Reddit with negative threads. A classic shitstorm!
Many fans already saw the end of Paragon coming, accused the developers of running a pay-to-win model, and demanded: “We do not want monetization like in a mobile game!”
In some places, calls for a boycott of Paragon and Epic Games are already being made. If players didn’t spend money on such pay-to-win nonsense, they argued, Epic Games would see what they would have from it.
Epic Games: Cards in loot crates were only an error
The shitstorm was certainly noticed by Epic Games, and they reacted quickly. A few hours ago, an official statement from the developer appeared on Reddit. They apologized for the confusion. They still adhere to the principle of not selling heroes and cards in packs.
The fact that there were still cards in the loot crates was a mistake. They will remove the cards from the loot boxes as soon as possible. However, those who received cards in this manner may of course keep them.
In the community, the suspicion persists that this was just a trick by Epic to test the situation and see how far they could go. It remains to be seen how the situation will develop.
Finally, we know how Roadhog from Overwatch ticks. A new comic reveals what drives and motivates him.
The story of Overwatch is told only in very small parts in the hero shooter itself. The biggest story bites are found in the form of animated shorts, such as recently in “Winter’s Awakening” featuring the hero Mei. However, the story is also expanded occasionally in comics, providing exciting insights into the past of the heroes and villains.
Now it’s Roadhog’s turn, and he finally has a more comprehensive backstory.
In the new comic Abgewrackt, we get a better insight into Roadhog and what drives him. Since the great apocalypse triggered by the Omnics, he has been living as a hermit in the wasteland of Australia. The other junkers in the area fear him, as he has a reputation – he deals with anything that comes too close to him and his little hut swiftly.
Roadhog has quite a pessimistic view of the world. We repeatedly gain insight into his thoughts. The world “deserves” such junkers, who live only off junk. At the same time, he thinks that the junkers also deserve such a world.
A bit of variety in his dreary life comes from the first encounter with Junkrat. A bumbling chaotic character who can’t keep his mouth shut and continually tries to con the other junkers – though he is not particularly skilled at it.
There are server issues on PS4 for Destiny 2 today, September 7th. Players are unable to log in. “Your permission to access the online multiplayer may have changed or your profile may have been signed in elsewhere.” PSN issues.
Update 1:25 PM: Bungie reports that the problem has been resolved.
The launch of Destiny 2 went surprisingly smoothly for most Guardians. They were spared from error codes and had to wait in queues for only a short time.
However, today on Thursday, things are different. Guardians on PS4 are being plagued by a strange error message when they try to enter Destiny 2. The message reads:
Warning – Your connection to the Destiny 2 servers has been lost. Your permission to access the online multiplayer may have changed or your profile may have been signed in elsewhere.
What is this server outage about? – PSN down?
Bungie has been working on the issue since around 4 AM (September 7th). The last status update was at 6 AM: they are still investigating the problem. Currently, just before 9 AM, the outage is still present. However, it seems that not all PS4 accounts are affected.
How long the issue will last is not known. If you can’t get into the game, now you know that you are not alone.
By the way: The PlayStation account tweeted that users report they are unable to access PSN. This issue is being investigated. I just checked myself – I can log in to PSN and play other online games, but I can’t get into Destiny 2.
Known Issues at Launch
Bungie also released the list of known issues at launch:
BNET 503 Errors: This is an issue on Bungie.net.
Cabbage Errors: A login error code
PS4 Pro Crashes: Destiny 2 can sometimes crash on PS4 Pro
Xbox Release Date: Even if the wrong release date is displayed, Destiny 2 has been live on Xbox since September 6th.
Nessus: If you fall off a cliff in the Sunken Caverns, the Ghost can be placed at a spot from where you cannot continue playing. You then need to return to orbit.
Cinematics: Only the fireteam leader can skip cinematics.
The armor perk “Linear Actuators” does not always trigger correctly.
Nightfall Strike: It is recommended that all players in the fireteam are present when the activity starts. There may be issues with “joining late”.
Additionally, there are several display errors. All known issues can be found here.
In Destiny 2 the Legendary Shards are a new currency demanded by the Exotic vendor Xur. Here’s how you can obtain them, these are the locations.
With the release of Destiny 2, Xur, the Agent of the Nine, craves new items: In the sequel, he no longer wants Strange Coins, but Legendary Shards. This is a new currency that will always be displayed at the top right of your character menu. The symbol is purple shards:
According to the item description, the Legendary Shards are remnants of powerful items. They are used to upgrade equipment or trade for other items. This means: you need them for infusion and for Xur.
Finding Legendary Shards – Here is where you can farm them
Even before the release of Destiny 2, the locations of the Legendary Shards have been leaked (we may update this article if necessary):
When you dismantle a legendary item, you receive 2 Legendary Shards
When you dismantle an exotic item, you receive 5 Legendary Shards
Strike bosses – (rare)
Nightfall strikes
Flashpoints
Chests scattered throughout the world (Planetary Chests) – (rare)
“Lost Sector” chests
Raid chests
Raid encounters
Faction Engrams (also Trials Engrams)
So you will receive the Legendary Shards in various ways – by exploring the open world or playing endgame activities. In the endgame, your hunt for this currency is likely to accelerate as you will frequently obtain legendary and exotic items which will yield several Legendary Shards when dismantled.
Xur and Legendary Shards in Destiny 2
Xur will hardly change in Destiny 2. He remains a special vendor who only appears on weekends at random locations and sells exotic goods.
The main innovations regarding Xur are:
He no longer appears in the Tower or the Reef as he did in Destiny 1; instead, he can appear in all four new worlds of Destiny 2.
He demands Legendary Shards instead of Strange Coins now. The prices of his Exotics are still unknown.

Blizzard reveals in a “Making of” video what the Animated Shorts of Overwatch are all about.
The Animated Shorts are one of the few and important ways for Blizzard to bring the characters of the universe closer to the players. There is hardly any story within the game. If at all, small hints can be found within a map or in the short dialogues of the heroes.
However, Blizzard wants players to have an emotional connection to the heroes and therefore continues to release comics and the Animated Shorts – especially the latter cause a lot of attention.

Blizzard has now released a making-of for “Winter Awakening”. Here, the developers talk about the goals and challenges in creating such cinematics.
According to Jeff Kaplan, the story of a character and their personality are just as important as the questions “how much damage the left-click of their weapon causes”.

Winter Awakening is also one of the calmer cinematics, where there is little action. Much has been shown about the typical “soldier” characters, like Soldier: 76, Widowmaker, or Bastion – but little about the calmer heroes.
Mei is the perfect example here. A character who loses everything – friends, time, and any hope for rescue. How such a character can still become a hero is shown in the “Animated Short”.
Cortyn says: For me, the Animated Shorts are always the big highlights that I look forward to even more than a new hero or a new map. I also attribute “Pixar quality” to the videos and can’t get enough information about the heroes and the game world. A little insight into the creation process of these films was therefore very welcome.
How can I change my subclass in Destiny 2? How do I unlock all subclasses? Here’s how you get the focuses of the Titan, Hunter, and Warlock.
Every Guardian class in Destiny 2 has three subclasses (focuses). These subclasses are assigned to the elements Arc, Solar, and Void.
At the beginning of your Guardian journey, however, only one subclass is available to you:
If you start with the Titan, you are a Sentinel (Void)
If you start with the Warlock, you are a Dawnblade (Solar)
If you start with the Hunter, you are Arcstrider (Arc)
All other subclasses must be unlocked first. We will show you how to do that.
This is how you get all subclasses in Destiny 2 – Find Relics
Unlike the first subclass of a character, the second and third subclasses are not tied to the story. Instead, you need to find relics in the open world, through which you gain access to the subclasses. Each subclass has its own relic.
The relic for the Nightstalker
According to user reports, the first subclass relic can be found in the open world starting at character level 8. This relic grants you the subclasses from Vanilla Destiny: Striker, Gunslinger, or Voidwalker
The second subclass relic is said to drop starting from character level 15. This is how you gain access to the “Taken King” subclasses Sunbreaker, Nightstalker, or Stormcaller.
To obtain a relic in the open world, you must rely a bit on luck. According to user reports, relics can randomly be found in chests after public events, in “Lost Sector” chests, and other chests in the open world. It seems to not matter what world you search for chests in.
Charging relics and playing the relic mission
Once you possess a relic, you can inspect it in your inventory. There you can see the requirement you need to fulfill to unlock the subclass. You need to complete some public events until the relic reaches 100%. You can also view the progress in the milestone overview.
Once you have “charged” the relic, a new mission appears in the European Dead Zone:
In this mission, which can only be played solo, you embark on the fragment of the Traveler. On your way there, you will receive information about your subclass. Upon arrival at the fragment, you will be attacked by waves of enemies, which you can then defeat with your new subclass and new super.
Changing subclass
After the mission, you will have permanent access to the new subclass. Go to the character overview, where you can change your subclass in the top left:
By the way: The upgrade points you collect when you level up are not tied to a specific subclass. You can distribute the upgrade points as you wish among your subclasses.
Where did you discover the relics for your subclasses?
The game Wander (PC, PS4) was once considered the worst game for PS4. Now it is pretty much dead.
The US site Massivelyop dealt with “Wander”. It was an MMO from 2015 that was released for PS4 and PC. Wander was known as the “non-violent MMO.” There was no combat, players were meant to walk through the world and experience it.
28% on Metacritic – Wander was not a hit
The game was so incredibly buggy back then that it earned the title of “the worst game for PS4 of all time”. That’s what smaller sites about the game said that tested it. On Metacritic, Wander PS4 has a remarkable 28%.
People wondered how that even passed Sony’s certification.
The community manager later told the US site Kotaku how everything had gone terribly wrong and how she had to deal with the many outraged complaints. At that time, it was said that the team was working tirelessly to contain the disaster.
Apparently without success.
Sorry and goodbye – not even Free2Play works
The game hasn’t done much since its release. According to Massivelyop, the last patch was already in September 2015. The last Twitter message from the studio also came in 2015. There, the Twitter account apologized for the lack of updates. They claimed to have suffered from a gum infection and needed a break.
The developers said they were sorry. They would have liked to switch Wander to Free2Play, but because they use the CryEngine, that doesn’t work. The agreement with CryTek would prevent that. The statement ends with “Thank you to all Wanderers and sorry.”
In the thread on Steam, an employee reflected back on the development. He said: Wander was the only game of the indie studio. The developers had many memories of the project. For most, it was the first chance to develop a game. They have since embarked on new shores.
Wander is no longer available new on PC. However, according to MassivelyOP, those who have already purchased it can still download it from Stream again. It is still listed on the PS4 page.
The player-versus-player battles and a trading function have long been on the agenda of Pokémon GO. It has now become known that many more updates are expected.
When the first version of Pokémon GO was released in the summer of 2016, many new trainers quickly realized: Some features are still missing.
Niantic followed up and reassured players: More features are in the works and will be gradually integrated into Pokémon GO. These include raids, which have been available as a co-op feature in Pokémon GO since this summer. But that was just the beginning. According to statements from the Pokémon Company CEO, there is much more to come.
Pokémon GO is just at the beginning of its development
In an interview with Bloomberg, Pokémon Company CEO Tsunekazu Ishihara announced that the current features and functions in Pokémon GO are just a fraction of what is planned for the future.
“We have only achieved 10 percent of what Pokémon and Niantic are trying to implement in the game. In the future, we still need to implement fundamental Pokémon experiences such as a trading function, player-versus-player battles, and other possibilities.”
Improvements of the last months
Since the release of Pokémon GO, quite a lot has happened in the game:
In raid battles, you can team up as trainers against powerful raid bosses.
In the interview, the Pokémon CEO also spoke about the difficulties in designing. Which Pokémon types should be found where? “One view is to have cool Pokémon appear in cold climate zones. But this would also mean that players in the tropics have no chance of catching these monsters.”
“So we are always thinking about finding the right balance between game design, how Pokémon should exist, and how satisfied players are with their collections.”
“Anyone going to the coast now can catch water Pokémon there. If, for example, electric Pokémon like Pikachu appear near power plants, there are problems. Is that safe? And is that allowed everywhere?” The developers take the issue of spawn behavior of different Pokémon types seriously.
Advanced AR experience
However, Pokémon CEO Ishihara sounds particularly interested in augmented reality.
“With the current AR feature, you can say ‘There is a Pikachu’, but no one believes that. Reality is just a step further away. For example, you could then find a Pikachu, and it recognizes the table and jumps on it. Then you see its shadow on the table. The monster could then turn to the player and talk to them. We will witness the birth of this reality, which takes Pokémon GO a step further.”
So a big future lies ahead for Pokémon GO. What feature would you like to see next? Trading, PvP, or something completely different?
Destiny 2 is live and thousands of Guardians are setting out to take revenge on Ghaul and his Cabal. But which Guardian class did you choose? We wanted to know in a survey and here are the results.
Destiny 2 – Classes – Who is the most popular? Titan, Hunter, or Warlock?
The results of the survey were close. About 1,700 readers voted and the following results came out:
Hunter: The swift Hunters take first place. 581 of you – that’s a solid 35 percent of all voters – chose the nimble killers as their first class. Hunters are a fast and agile class in Destiny 2. Hunters can perform double jumps in the air and adeptly dodge. Also cool: As Arcstriders, they are true killing machines in close combat with their Arc staffs!
Warlock: The Warlocks take second place. 562 of you wanted to play a Warlock as the first character in Destiny 2. That corresponds to a percentage of 33% of all voters. But why should one play the Warlock when one could have the nimble Hunter? Maybe it’s because of the cool skills the Warlock has. You can always use a healing circle. Or maybe you prefer to float through the air instead of making double jumps? Or you simply like flame swords better than lightning staffs.
Titan: Close behind the Warlock is the Titan in third and sadly, last place in our survey. The strong frontline fighter was chosen by 559 of you as the first hero. That’s 32 percent of all voters. Titans are also cool heroes. Thanks to their shields, they can protect their group from damage, and in one of their subclasses, they even have a round shield in Captain America style. With their boosters, Titans can rocket vertically into the air.
So much for our survey results on the most popular first class in Destiny 2. Are you satisfied with your choice or would you have preferred a different class after a few hours in the game? Let us know in the comments!
Paladins (PC, PS4, Xbox One) receives the new VIP system in patch OB58. Since the VIP program was introduced, there has been confusion in the community and players are uncertain. There have been accusations that the system is Pay-to-Win (Pay2Win) and for some, it is unclear what the program is actually intended for. According to a Redditor, this may be due to the poorly chosen name.
Additionally, there is a VIP pack that costs $14.99 and the VIP membership costs 200 crystals, Paladins’ premium currency. Those who unlock a VIP membership or purchase the VIP pack will receive some benefits.
Studio Hi-Rez has a tradition of introducing new updates in a preview live stream. In the preview stream of patch OB58accusations arose in the Twitch chat that Paladins is now Pay-to-Win. This accusation was also expressed on various community platforms. Some feel that the VIP system is too vague.
Is Paladins’ VIP system a “Pay to Win” model?
No, not by the strict definition. “Pay to Win” means that one can buy a gameplay advantage. This would be the case if there were exclusive cards in the VIP store that strengthen champions. In Paladins’ VIP store, only cosmetic items are available.
Players can unlock things like exclusive skins, voice packs, or icons with VIP points.
It is even possible to earn VIP points without a VIP pack or membership. However, those who spend money on the various VIP packs will get significantly more out of the system.
This is what the price-performance ratio of the VIP system looks like:
200 crystals cost €4.99 in Paladins’ shop.
It costs 70 crystals to unlock 10,000 VIP points directly. That can be 10,000 free VIP points every two weeks if you spend your “Weekly Login Reward” on it.
Epic skins cost 30,000 VIP points in the VIP store. This means players have the option to buy an exclusive epic skin for 210 crystals directly. Most epic skins cost 400 crystals in the standard shop.
If one decides to buy the VIP pack for $15, they will receive: An epic skin (with weapon and body) and enough VIP points to unlock a legendary and another epic skin. Additionally, there are 25 radiant chests, 5 VIP memberships, and boosters for the VIP points earned.
So yes, there are more benefits if you purchase the VIP offers for real money. But these are merely cosmetic items. No one gets a gameplay advantage by purchasing a VIP membership.
Paladins is completely free to play and the VIP system is supposed to be a way to financially support the development of the hero shooter. At the same time, players should receive something special for their support.
Kers points out that the name “VIP system” sounds as if one must spend money to gain any benefit and purchase advantages. It evokes the feeling of a paid membership that offers boosts or similar.
This misunderstanding could seriously damage Paladins’ reputation, according to the Redditor. Kers_ described the following situation: Imagine someone is looking for a new game and hears that it has a VIP system. The first thought for the newcomer would surely not be to examine the system in detail and understand it. They hear VIP and think of Pay2Win boosts and spread that idea.
Objectively, the name is simply poorly chosen.
The Redditor would suggest to Studio Hi-Rez to adjust the name and rename it to something like “Loyalty System” or “Prestige System.” This would better represent what the system is intended to be.
