Damage is key in Destiny 2, to heat things up for your enemies. We will show you how you can massively increase your damage output!
Diligent guardians are on the move to unveil all the secrets of the game. YouTuber Arekkz has now conducted tests to find out which abilities are particularly well-suited to boost damage significantly. In addition, he provides tips on which class combinations are particularly effective. We summarize his findings for you!
Which abilities deal more damage?
Each class in Destiny has a perk or ability that increases damage output:
Sunbreaker Titans have the ability Hammer Strike in the upper skill tree, which creates a melee attack after a sprint that weakens enemies
Nightsaber Hunters have a powerful weapon with their super ability, the Shadow Shot, to chain and weaken opponents
All Warlocks have a special class ability – the empowering Rift increases weapon damage for all guardians within its area of effect
“Weakened enemies” take increased damage from all team members. Each class has the potential to increase damage for themselves and other guardians.
How much percentage more damage do you deal with it?
Each ability already deals more damage individually:
The Hammer Strike of the Titan increases damage on the hit enemy by 50% – albeit only for a few seconds
The Shadow Shot of the Hunter increases damage on chained enemies by 35%
The empowering Rift of the Warlock increases damage by 30%
It gets interesting when you combine different abilities. Damage output increases by a massive 95% after a Hammer Strike with an active Rift – but only for a short time.
The combination “Shadow Shot and Rift” also boosts damage significantly, by 75%.
A combination of Shadow Shot and Hammer Strike is not possible, by the way. The effect of these two attacks does not stack, which is why using all three abilities at once is not useful. However, it is advisable to first use Hammer Strike + Rift and a few seconds later Shadow Shot + Rift. This way, you can deal enormous damage for an extended period.
You can also follow Arekkz’s exact testing procedure again in the video:

In addition to these abilities, damage output over time (DPS – Damage per second) can of course be further increased (gunfight barriers reload equipped weapons). Certain perks and mods on the weapons can also increase damage further.

Pearl Abyss, the company behind the MMORPG Black Desert, is growing and growing. Currently important: the mobile version and the port to Xbox One. But they also don’t want to neglect the PC.
The Korean gaming site Inven held a developer conference. One of the key presentations was by Pearl Abyss about Black Desert. The PC MMORPG is growing and growing. After it has launched in more and more countries, they now want to reach more platforms, planning ports for mobile and Xbox One.
However, the PC game Black Desert is also to be continuously expanded.
How many people work on Black Desert?
The key information:
Initially, 80 people worked on Black Desert, by early 2016 there were 120 – now there are 300
The company Pearl Abyss has committed to the PC. There was a time around 2010 when everyone wanted to go mobile. The philosophy behind Black Desert back then was “We want to make the best PC online game with the best quality” – They were convinced that success would follow. Trend or not.
Philosophy from StarCraft – Korea first
To this day, they adhere to a maxim that Korean gamers know from StarCraft: “Build many bases and you lose your main base” – even though they are now reaching many regions and other platforms, the main base still consists of the PC version on the Korean servers – they are the most important. From there, they develop and bring the good to other versions.
First, Black Desert should reach the top in South Korea – the rest will follow
Even though they are currently focused on the console version and the mobile version, the PC version continues to be the priority: here, quality and performance should improve
In Korean internet cafés, Black Desert only plays a minor role. It is believed that this is because Black Desert requires relatively powerful computers, which the PC bangs cannot provide
Black Desert: Mobile version and Xbox One – What about PS4?
They are also preparing the version for Xbox One – they want to make the interface for the console simpler
There is no new information from Black Desert about a port to the PlayStation 4 – this could be the same situation as PUBG, first only Xbox One – then they will also discuss a port to PS4
Mein MMO believes: Black Desert operates under the radar of the mainstream in the West. But the game could grow to become the defining MMORPG of our time, for which the West is only a secondary market. In any case, Black Desert is not a flash in the pan. The MMORPG will remain and has huge plans for the future.
One can be curious about where the journey for Black Desert will go. With the port to Xbox One, the game could gain an additional boost. Furthermore, there will be graphic and sound improvements …
Currently, Black Desert is definitely the MMORPG with the most ambitious plans. This also includes this acoustic overhaul:
Fortnite’s core discipline is and remains building bases. While in the early areas, any somewhat competent team can hold back the waves of threats with a few wooden structures, you will need to build sophisticated fortifications in later stages. Learn here in our guide how to build a good base.
Fortnite is a fun coop shooter where you take down zombies and build fortifications against them. At the beginning of the game, it’s not too serious and you can just put a few boards around the mission objective and team up to siege the spawn points of the monsters.
However, later on, the zombies become much more numerous and tougher. Stronger beasts require new tactics. Here you’ll learn some tricks for base building that will help you out.
Fortnite – Base Guide – Basic Tips
When building bases, a few fundamentals should first be considered:
Constructors build faster and require one less unit of material per upgrade level. This pays off in the long run, so prefer your constructor when building bases.
When gathering resources, always hit from the side where the object is smallest or narrowest and focus on the bottom point. This way, you hit the circle for faster gathering much more often.
In missions where you have to feed a machine with BlueGlow and then activate it, you can see after entering the BlueGlow where the zombies will appear on the map. So before you finally turn on the machine, you can particularly insidiously line the path of the monsters to your fortification with traps.
If you invite friends to base building and give them building rights (in the Storm Shield menu), everything goes faster. But be careful to invite only people you trust. A troll could just tear your fort down laughing maliciously.
If you want to tear down parts of your base, you can do it faster with this trick. Always destroy the bottom layer in multi-story constructions; then everything above will crumble.
Keep in mind during base building – especially as a solo player – that you need to move quickly from A to B. Bridges are ideal for this. They allow you to cross your base unhindered when the opponent is attacking another location. Jump pads are even more effective, catapulting you across the map when placed cleverly. So think about such details before your first shovel stroke!
Fortnite – Base Tricks – The Triple Wall
A simple wall eventually becomes useless, no matter how solidly you build it. Three walls are already better, but where to get the space for them? There’s a simple trick to get three walls into one building slot. Proceed as follows:
First, build a normal, large wall.
Build a floor plate behind the wall.
Go to the customization menu and delete the two floor spaces directly behind the wall. This will create a small mini-wall in front of the remaining two floor plates.
Build a slanted wall (Menu F4) over everything, which covers the small wall from the floor plate and meets the top edge of the tall, first wall. If a zombie wants to get through there, it first has to tear down the first wall, then overcome the small wall, and finally take down the slanted wall. Triple effort for the enemy, triple protection for you!
Fortnite – Base Tips – Pyramids instead of Houses
If you want to protect a mission objective, like an Atlas, you shouldn’t just build a square house around it. A pyramid is much more effective, which you can build using the slope settings. Pyramids not only look great, but they are also walkable.
So if the enemies are coming from the other side, you can easily climb up using the incline of the walls and quickly take the enemies under fire. With a square structure, you would have had to walk around the building to climb it. Or additional stairs and thus material costs would have been necessary.
Fortnite – Base Building – Here’s How Deadly Chokepoints Look
Walls alone are not always enough. Against particularly strong monsters or hordes, even a massive wall setup can quickly become a wreck. Therefore, it is important to seem to provide the zombies with comfortable passageways. You then pepper these with traps. Proceed as follows:
In the logic of zombies, a passage after a maximum of three wall sections is more sensible than struggling through the wall.
Therefore, there should be an opening every three wall pieces.
Keep in mind that zombies tend to target you. If you are standing on a wall, it may be that the zombies attack the wall to reach you, so keep an eye on this when planning your defense. Thus, build your walkways in places that are further back from the zombies.
To ensure the passage is not a stroll but a death trap, build a kind of tunnel of death there!
Build a tunnel behind the passage in the wall with floors, walls, and ceilings.
Pave the walls, ceilings, and floors in the passage with traps.
Use not only thick damage traps but also CC traps (Crowd-Control, i.e., effects that slow down enemies). This way, you or any defender NPCs stationed there can wreak havoc with their weapons even more effectively.
Make the death tunnels as long as possible. Especially at high levels, otherwise too many creatures will break through and go unnoticed to destroy your base. At lower levels, three to five fields full of traps are enough; later, it can be ten or more to establish an effective death tunnel.
Which monsters will the regional Pokémon of the 3rd generation appear in Pokémon GO? Together with you, we want to speculate. What do you think, which monsters will only appear in certain regions at first?
We are already looking forward to information from Niantic about the release of the 3rd generation in Pokémon GO. So far, the first signs have been found, such as a name list in the game’s code.
To prepare for the new monsters, many trainers are already wondering which special Pokémon of the third generation could be. We are also asking ourselves this question and presenting a few special monsters that could be in our shortlist as regional and special Pokémon.
3rd Generation – Possible Regional Pokémon
Regional Pokémon are monsters that can usually only appear in the wild in certain locations around the world. From the first generation, for example, Tauros or Kangaskhan, which you can normally find in North America and Australia. Through special events like the Safari Event in Oberhausen, Kangaskhan is now even available in Germany.
When Niantic released the second generation of Pokémon in Pokémon GO, they also added two more regional Pokémon to the game: Farfetch’d and Heracross.
So we assume that Niantic will also release further regional Pokémon in Pokémon GO in the third generation. What they could be is still not certain. Nevertheless, a few monsters from the 3rd generation fit well into the schema when you take a closer look at their Pokédex entries.
It has been mentioned that Camerupt and Shuppet are evolutions and therefore would not qualify as regional Pokémon. However, Pantimos (from the fourth generation) is also an evolution of the baby Pokémon Mime Jr.
How the evolution possibilities affect regional Pokémon is still not 100% certain and is being discussed in the community.
Absol
Absol belongs to the type Dark. The Pokémon is associated with natural disasters as it can predict them. We hope that Absol does not appear in this context in the game, but rather is particularly rare and is native to a mountainous region.
Perhaps it can also be found in areas that have survived a natural disaster.
In the Pokédex entry of the Sapphire version it says: “It lives on a barren, rugged mountain. This Pokémon rarely ventures down into the valley.”
In Pokémon Sun, it is written about Absol: “Due to superstition, Absol was once hated as a harbinger of doom and was driven into the deepest mountains.”

Camerupt
Camerupt is a Fire and Ground Pokémon that carries a volcano on its body. The Pokédex entries reveal that it shoots scorching hot magma from its humps when the monster becomes angry.
We suspect Camerupt in regions with (inactive!) volcanoes.
In Pokémon FireRed, Camerupt is described as: When it gets angry, it rains liquid lava from the humps on its back. It lives in the craters of volcanoes.
Flunkifer
Flunkifer belongs to the type Steel and Fairy and seems unassuming at first glance. However, its jaws are transformed steel horns that can crush iron easily. Flunkifer hides in caves among rubble, making it rare to encounter.
We are still uncertain if this particular habitat is sufficient for it to only appear in certain regions. What do you think?
Luvdisc
Luvdisc belongs to the type Water and is a heart-shaped discus fish (hence the name). According to various Pokédex entries, it can be found in the shallow waters of the tropics.
Will Corasonn have company from this romantic fish?
In Pokémon Emerald, it is stated: Luvdisc builds its nest in the arms of Corasonn. A tradition says that one gives a Luvdisc as a sign of love.
The Pokédex from Omega Ruby writes about Luvdisc: Luvdisc lives in the shallow waters of the tropics. This heart-shaped Pokémon owes its name to the fact that it swam behind lovers it had observed in the waves of the ocean.
Tropius
Tropius belongs to the type Grass and Flying as it can use the leaves on its back for flying.
Like Luvdisc, Tropius also lives in the tropics and could therefore become one of the regional Pokémon of the third generation in Pokémon GO.
In Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen it says: Tropius lives in tropical jungles. The fruit cluster around its neck is delicious. The fruits grow twice a year.
In the Pokédex of AlphaSapphire it states: Children from the southern tropics eat the fruits that hang from Tropius’s neck as a snack.
Zangoose
Zangoose has a humanoid build and belongs to the type Dark and Ghost. The wild Zangoose live deep inside dark caves and hide there.
Similar to Flunkifer, we are not sure if this is enough of an argument for it to be a regional Pokémon. Nevertheless, Zangoose is special.
In Pokémon Ruby, it says: Zangoose leads a quiet, reclusive life deep inside a cave. However, it is still very feared, as it is said to steal the souls of people when its eyes shine frighteningly in the dark.
The Pokédex of the Emerald version writes: With its sharp claws, it digs branches in caves to search for food – rare gemstones. Zangoose lurks in the darkness and is rarely seen.

Special Pokémon of the 3rd Generation
In the 3rd generation of Pokémon, very special monsters also appeared that can change their form, similar to Ditto. They could take a special place in Pokémon GO.
This, however, is still just speculation, as Niantic has not announced anything in this regard yet. Nevertheless, we want to introduce you to the monsters so that you know what might be coming your way.
Castform
Castform actually belongs to the type Normal, but changes its type and form depending on the weather. A cute Pokémon that should not be missing for trainers looking for adorable Pokémon.
It has a normal form, a rain form when it rains, a snow form during hail and snow, and a sun form when it is sunny.
In Pokémon Ruby it says: Castform’s appearance changes with the weather. This Pokémon has acquired the ability to utilize the powerful force of nature to protect its tiny body.
The Pokédex from Pokémon Sun reveals: It changes its appearance depending on the weather. Its cells apparently respond to temperature and humidity fluctuations.
Kecleon
Kecleon belongs to the type Normal and can adapt its appearance. Depending on the need, it can change the color of its body. However, the pattern on its belly always remains the same.
Another shapeshifter Pokémon that could make it to Pokémon GO? It is possible.
In Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen it says: It adapts its body color to the surrounding environment. When it is happy or sad, it also changes its color.
Pokémon Emerald addresses its weaknesses: Kecleon can adapt its body color to the surrounding color. If it gets scared, its original color returns.
Ninjask
Ninjask belongs to the type Bug and Ghost and has very special properties. It is suspected that the crescent moon above its head could represent a halo, indicating that the Pokémon is “dead”.
In Pokémon Ruby it says: Ninjask’s hard body does not move at all. It seems to be just an empty shell. This Pokémon is said to steal the soul of anyone who dares to look inside its hollow body from behind.
Pokémon Sapphire writes: Ninjask is a very special Pokémon. It suddenly appears in a Pokéball after a Nincada evolves. This Pokémon is completely motionless and does not even breathe.
In SoulSilver, the special appearance of the monster is described: It does not breathe, its shell is hollow, and its wings remain still. Nevertheless, it hovers in the air.
These are our speculations for the special monsters of the third generation. Once again, we would like to point out that these are our opinions and have not been confirmed by Niantic.
What do you think, which Pokémon from the 3rd generation will become regional monsters?
This is an AI-powered translation. Some inaccuracies might exist.
The MMO shooter Destiny 2 could become the biggest game of the year. What are the topics of the first weeks, what are the Guardians talking about? Our author Schuhmann has been asking around.
A week ago, exactly at 2 PM, the lightning start for Destiny 2 happened. The servers went live and those who could play did so shortly thereafter.
What has happened in the week? What are the Guardians of Destiny 2 discussing?
Game mechanics: Engrams and so on
The day before yesterday a streamer despaired at the power level and its impact on the random engrams. He sat there and had opened engrams and all were items with 266 – but then suddenly there were items with power level 267. Apparently, nothing had changed for him.
The streamer was desperate about it. He tried to solve the problem analytically, cursed in a foreign language, and failed again and again. Since he was wearing a Super Mario hat, had a beard down to his chest, and looked at everything with solemn earnestness, it was a wonderful spectacle.
In the end, the streamer found his own solution: “Somehow a hidden engram counter ticks up and then a mark is exceeded and you receive higher engrams!” And who says otherwise? Let them all talk!
Progression mechanics also in Destiny 2 a matter of faith
Actually, this should never have happened. Bungie’s big mantra before Destiny 2 was: Everything should be clear to the player from the interface. Everything should be clear in Destiny 2 – no one should have to go to Reddit lost and ask questions.
That really worked well, Bungie!
The systems of Destiny 2, which were supposedly supposed to be so clear and self-explanatory, are not in reality. Exceptions like the “Power Modifications” still make the game systems much more complex than necessary.
It almost seems as if the power modifiers were added later, are foreign bodies in the level systems and drive everyone crazy.
No question: Destiny 2 is still a game with its quirks, with its foibles.
Glitches, bugs and secrets
Those who don’t worry about it and dive into the game feel like pioneers entering undiscovered land in the first week.
We have discovered countless questions and submissions from the community. Many have discovered something, stumbled upon a secret. Perhaps they found a glitch, perhaps they stumbled over an Easter egg. They ask:
Am I the first one to be this high in light level?
Have you seen the mini-game with the lava in the tower?
Many approach Destiny 2 in their own way, experience adventures, and encounter secrets. Even the loot cave is back. It’s an exciting time.
But there are also problems.
Especially the quest for the exotic Scout rifle MIDA-Multi-Tool is tricky. If you have no free space in your inventory, you won’t receive the coveted item. Will Bungie replace it now?
People with a PS4 Pro also seem to have difficulties. Rumors are circulating that a certain product series has problems with Destiny 2, making it practically unplayable.
Additionally, PSN had issues the day after release – a nightmare for those who cleared the day to play extensively.
For some, the problems are ruining the launch. Even worse when the rest can play in peace.
For our fans, it is rather a minor topic, but on the big stage “Reddit” it has been discussed over and over. The significant topic since launch there are the shaders. It’s a matter of principle.
These shaders were still part of the reward system in Destiny 1. Guardians received them permanently in a collection. Now they are in the new loot boxes and are only usable once.
A host of problems and discussions are linked to this. For some, coupling the shaders to the cash shop is a step in the wrong direction. They say: I have to think three times before using a rare shader. And I don’t want to buy anything from the cash shop anymore, if everything is simply included in such a loot box: It’s pure lottery.
The most significant thread about Destiny 2 in the launch week calls for a boycott of the cash shop under the hashtag #MakeFashionGreatAgain.
Others say: It doesn’t matter. You get the loot boxes handed out. It’s all being blown out of proportion – the shader topic is highly inflated and not a problem.
The disposable shaders are the dominant topic of the week: Of the 5 threads on Reddit with the most upvotes, 4 are about the shaders. The fifth thread curses that Destiny 2 favors the PS4.
Destiny 2: We are huge!
Soothing words from Game Director Luke Smith went largely unheard – Destiny 2 has its first shitstorm. However, it apparently subsided over the weekend, without anything happening. Bungie seems to have weathered the issue over the weekend. They have experience in this. Beaming with joy, they announced Saturday evening: We are huge!
A new pet has been implemented via a hotfix in World of Warcraft. The fox is likely to be at the cuteness cap.
In the night of 12.09.2017, there was another small hotfix for World of Warcraft. However, this did not make any significant changes to the game and its mechanics, but simply added a small battle pet to the game. The little fox is named Shadow and the in-game shop is indicated as the source. However, it is currently not available.
Visually, Shadow is quite impressive and follows in the footsteps of previous pets. The companion changes between a beautiful golden fur and a dark purple-black – the colors of light and void. Its description reveals:
“This playful fox has wandered onto Argus and has been overwhelmed by darkness. It can displace the void by being at your side.”
The abilities of Shadow, if one wishes to use it as a battle pet, are thematically related. Three abilities use the void or darkness (Shadow Shock, Void Portal, Call Darkness) and three more the light (Solar Beam, Light, Flash).
Ubisoft surprisingly announced a new online shooter: Atomega is an experimental game set at the end of time.
At the end of space and time, reality slowly dissolves. Only so-called Exoforms exist, which represent highly advanced life forms and command energy and matter. They are distant relatives of the long-forgotten humans and machines. The Exoforms fight both for dominance and also for fun, as the laws of physics are disregarded around them and the universe experiences its last moments.
Gather mass and defeat all players
In the online shooter Atomega, you are one of these Exoforms and have the power to transform yourself by gathering mass. This allows you to transform from a tiny atom into a godlike Omega. Each battle lasts 10 minutes, during which you must try to gather mass faster than the seven other players and grow. Additionally, you also earn points depending on how much mass you collect. The points determine in the end who the winner of the round is.
Exceptional competitive game
Atomega is a competitive game and is said by Ubisoft to be easy to play but hard to master. The graphic style and overall gameplay are unusual and set it apart from other shooters.
Atomega will be released on September 19 for PC via Steam. A first gameplay trailer shows you how the battles take place in the game.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is a blast even as a solo player. But what about the squad mode? Does the battle royale shooter play differently in that mode? Jürgen tried it out with a team.
I, Jürgen, wanted to experience that as well and gathered a team.
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds – A whole different game in squad mode!
By now, I know PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds well enough in solo mode. But how does it play with three other teammates? I found three good team members and started a squad mode round.
As soon as we landed, a big difference to solo mode became apparent. While a lone wolf shamelessly takes everything lying around and every other player is fair game, as a team player you can’t just fill your pockets insolently.
Rather, loot needs to be shared fairly, because it’s pretty pointless if you have three different packs of ammunition, while your teammate is in his underwear, with an empty gun and a pan in hand providing cover.
PUBG – The enemy at the toilet!
That’s exactly what happened to us in the first fight. I had not even a pan besides the mentioned underwear, but I did have a flashbang. A nearby teammate was better equipped, and the other loot was with the enemies or our remaining squad. Unfortunately, they were tied up at another front.
Therefore, we were surprised while looting enemies and had to hide in the bathroom. Crouched behind the toilet, I was ready with the grenade, while my teammate with the pistol whispered to me via Teamspeak slightly panicked: “The guy is coming in, we fight until the end! Hit him! Oh God, please hit him!” It was like “The Shining”, only with shotguns, pistols, and grenades!
PUBG – With underwear and grenade against shotgun
This moment was pure adrenaline! We heard the enemy shuffling outside the door, but he was probably scared himself and didn’t dare to come in.
Then suddenly the door opened! I threw the grenade, but the damn thing bounced off the door frame and flew back into our room. It went kaboom and no one could see anything anymore! All three of us stumbled around disoriented, hitting and shooting aimlessly.
In the end, however, the spread of our enemy’s pellets prevailed in the cramped space, and we were left helpless to crawl on the floor for a few more seconds. Then they finally finished us off. But we were now especially hooked and immediately started the next round!
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds – Professionals on noob hunt
Already in the next round, we had more luck and found enough weapons and gear to equip the whole team. For the first time, it became apparent that my squad consisted of real pros.
The guys and gals were seasoned Arma players (and Arma was the first game that PUBG creator Brendan Greene had modded) and a well-coordinated team. Therefore, the area was always scouted with military precision, and the squad leader coordinated our actions with brief commands.
As a result, we managed to totally surprise an enemy team in the next settlement. The opponent had just loaded up on top gear and had become careless. We cornered them with a flanking attack and took them out with precisely directed shots. The US Marines couldn’t have done it better! I was incredibly proud of my performance and our team!
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds – With military precision to chicken dinner
Although we weren’t the winners in that round, in the next session we held nothing back! As usual, we proceeded with the precision and ruthlessness of a commando unit and methodically took out all enemies.
In the end, only 8 players were left: our squad and a complete enemy team. A dream finale! The enemies were hiding in a dilapidated shack in the valley, while we had occupied the nearby hill. Shots kept hitting us, but we had spread out wisely and could cover every window of the house. The enemy, on the other hand, had to reveal himself every time he wanted to shoot back. So he was always a good target for one of us.
And we had precise weapons with scopes! Thanks to my 8x zoom, I could effectively cover the upper floors, and once the enemy got too bold. A salvo later, there were only 7 players left. The rest was shortly thereafter closed in by the energy field, had to flee from the house, and we shot them down like startled chickens!
Winner Winner, Chicken Dinner!
Jürgen’s conclusion on squad mode
With a team, especially one that works effectively and precisely together, the experience in PUBG is completely different. In solo mode, you live in constant paranoia. You are entirely on your own and face up to 99 enemies who can be lurking everywhere. In squad mode, you are usually safe.
Your teammates are ideally always there and cover your back. You can coordinate in battle, and if you do take a bullet, there’s hope that you might be revived.
However, the big loot buffet in squad mode is much sparser, especially at the beginning, and you need to communicate well about who gets which weapon and gear. Ammunition can quickly become scarce.
But the most fun in squad mode comes with a well-coordinated team. My experience with those teammates is likely to remain my PUBG highlight for a long time. So anyone who hasn’t tried squad mode yet: Do it! It’s worth it!
And the power level for the raid is already known: Your power level should be between 260 and 280. Ideally, you want to get as close to 280 as possible, as the final boss will very likely be at this level.
Atheon – the final boss of the first raid of Destiny 1
A Guardian with a power level of 260 will therefore deal 60% less damage to the final boss according to previous Destiny mathematics. This is no longer a question of “skill” – here you have no chance. To have a realistic chance in the raid, your power level should be at least 270 – with the prospect of higher drops in the raid itself.
And here’s how to get there!
Up to 260 and beyond: Farming and Grinding
The power level of found equipment is based on the level you are currently at. Blue gear ranges between a few levels below and above your current power level. This way, you can achieve a power level of 260 with any activity.
Legendary equipment that you receive through legendary engrams and leveling up planetary factions always drops a few power levels above your current value – up to the cap of 265.
Note: Once you have over 270 power, blue and legendary items can also drop with higher power levels.
How to get tokens: Public heroic events
The fastest way to get tokens (the currency for leveling factions) is by completing heroic public events. These usually grant you two blue engrams, one token, and some glimmer.
The best place to participate in the events is Titan, as the area is small with numerous enemy spawns. While waiting for events, you can collect loot chests and finish patrol missions.
To increase your yield, you should use a fireteam medallion, as this grants better loot quality and more experience for you and your fireteam. You can obtain a medallion from Tess Everis in the Eververse after completing the campaign. You can buy more for 50 glimmer. Whenever you receive a glimmer engram, you can dismantle the loot to gain glimmer.
You can even find exotic engrams in public events, which always provide a boost to your current power level.
The power level of these activities is based on your current gear and will drop above that. Anyone who does these activities before the power level threshold of 265, “wastes” valuable points – as these rewards are only given weekly.
If you turn in the mentioned events only at power level 265, you will most likely reach 270-275, which is a good base for the raid start.
The World Eater – Leviathan
Even if you don’t like playing with others – join a clan. The Destiny community is passionate and helpful – the rewards are also noticeable! There are plenty of ways to find clans. Various forums and groups are available on Bungie.net, Facebook, or Reddit, to name just a few.
Also play the Crucible milestone! You can do quick matches and have fun. It doesn’t matter if you win or lose (for the quest, not for the ego).
These quests are not necessarily difficult – but they do require some grinding at times. For details on how to get the weapons, just follow the provided links.
The exotic hand cannon Sturm
For a little power boost in between: The mod components
Mods can be integrated into equipment and provide various bonuses. Among other things, there are legendary mods that can increase the power level of weapons and armor by 5 points.
With the proposed strategies, you should be able to enter the raid on 09/13 directly. The raids of Destiny are the ultimate challenge, the highlights. Don’t miss them!

The Leviathan raid of Destiny 2 starts on 09/13 at 7 PM. To succeed, you should aim for a power level of around 270. Time is short – let’s get started!
For many players, the raid represents the “blind date experience” that highlights the first week of Destiny 2. It is now known that you should have at least between 260 and 280 power level to tackle the raid.
To reach the required power level, you need to keep a few things in mind. We’ll give you an overview of the activities that you can tackle now, before the raid starts.
The recommended power level for activities in Destiny
Every activity in Destiny 2 has a recommendation for your power level which you should take seriously. Because it is more than just a well-intended piece of advice.
In Destiny 1, each light point below the recommendation cost you 3% damage. If you wanted to challenge a boss at light level 300 while your own level was at 285, you dealt 45% less damage.
Power levels in Destiny 2 work similarly. Whether the numbers are completely identical still needs to be investigated further. The fact is: You will deal little damage if you are significantly below the recommended power level.

This is an AI-powered translation. Some inaccuracies might exist.
Star Citizen is a huge gaming project. Many fans are eagerly awaiting the release. To this, Cloud Imperium Games founder Chris Roberts has now commented.
Parts of Star Citizen have been playable for a long time, but it is not really a game yet. However, according to Chris Roberts, that is supposed to change soon. According to an interview with Eurogamer, he sees the Alpha 3.0 planned for this fall as something like an early access version. Alpha 3.0 is supposed to bring many of the basic systems together for the first time, creating a game. This also includes persistence.
Alpha 3.0 is basically the early access version
Alpha 3.0 allows for the first time that your status in the game world is retained. So if you log out of the game after a fight, your ship is still damaged when you continue playing. Items that you deposited somewhere can be found again there. This is a major step for Star Citizen towards MMO.
The AI in Alpha 3.0 will not yet have the level that the developers desire, and in terms of missions, players are still presented with relatively simple tasks. Procedural pirate chases, item deliveries, and missions where you have to identify bodies on a spaceship. Additionally, an initial version of the trading system is integrated.
From then on, new content will be continuously introduced. It will be possible, for example, from version 3.1 onwards, to purchase ships, engage in mining, repair items, and expand infrastructure within the game.
Game development has changed
Chris Roberts also explains that he is breaking away from how games were developed in the past. Previously, development would take place in a quiet room and then the game would be released. This is no longer the case today. Players can be involved from the beginning and influence the development.
Even when the game reaches a state where everything that was intended is included, development continues. Patches and updates will follow, along with new content and improvements. However, he is also aware that not everyone is in favor of this new development process.
Game development is unpredictable
To his critics, he says that games have always been delayed. Even large publishers like EA or Ubisoft announce games and do not adhere to the release date, but postpone it repeatedly. Additionally, some games are simply canceled during development. This is just how the games business is – unforeseen things happen.
With Star Citizen, players experience this earlier because they are not involved in the development process of other titles.
Moreover, according to Roberts, most fans of Star Citizen are happy. He sees the numbers. The numbers of those who are actively playing and those who post in the forum. Of course, there are also critics and those who shout the loudest, but that is always only an extremely small fraction. Most are satisfied and simply do not express themselves.
As for crowdfunding, he does not want to dictate to anyone how much money they should spend. For many, it has simply become a hobby to support the game. All the money raised goes into the game. The company is currently not making a profit, according to Roberts.

Class Balance Changes
In addition to the announced changes, which have already been known through the roadmap, Blizzard also changes the damage of ten specializations. Many players can therefore look forward to a small damage boost:

Feral Druid +2%
Beast Mastery Hunter +6%
Survival Hunter +5%
Windwalker Monk +9%
Assassination Rogue +5%
Outlaw Rogue +6%
Subtlety Rogue +1.5%
Enhancement Shaman +3%
The Antorus raid and the associated features will arrive at a later, yet unspecified time. However, it will likely take several months before players can finally face Argus, the Unmaker.
Not all players understand the upcoming Hearthstone nerfs. The developers explain again exactly why the changes make sense from their perspective.
The nerf of Plague Maw was generally well received in the Hearthstone community. However, not all players understand exactly why Plague Maw is being nerfed in the way it is now.
The Druid spell for 5 mana summons as many 1/5 minions with taunt until you have as many minions as your opponent. After the nerf, the mana cost increases to 6, allowing the spell to be played later, but the effect remains unchanged.
Many players would have liked the spell to summon weaker minions – such as 1/4 minions, which would be vulnerable to a Fireball, for example.
Plague Maw: Too much power for round 5
Blizzard, however, decided against it for a simple reason: other cards. There are also other cards that summon the 1/5 minions, and these should remain consistent with each other. Therefore, raising the mana cost seemed to be the best option.
In an interview with IGN, Dean Ayala from Blizzard explained that they love when crazy things happen in Hearthstone. However, it would be too early for round 5 to play a card that gives you 30 or even 35 health points in taunt on the board. By increasing the mana cost, they retain the “fantastic” effect and fun of the card while also resolving the issue that it comes into play too early.
Furthermore, Plague Maw was the most popular Druid card in recent weeks. It was present twice in almost every deck. Whenever there is no alternative for a card, the developers feel compelled to intervene.
Especially in combination with the nerf to Innervate, Druids will now find it a bit harder against rush decks. Many of the other major combos may now be a thing of the past.
The Leviathan raid in Destiny 2 is coming! When is the release, at what time does it start? What power level does the raid have? Get ready for the raid!
The first raid in Destiny was the Glass Chamber – a PvE group activity, with boss enemies, jumping passages, loot, and numerous secrets waiting. For many Guardians, this raid still stands as the best content Destiny has produced in three years.
The Leviathan raid will now be the first raid in Destiny 2 and many players expect no less from it than from the Glass Chamber: It should captivate Guardians for hours and days, it should drop delicious loot and be just as mysterious, motivating Guardians to turn over every stone and uncover every secret within it.
But when does it actually start? Because in the days following the launch of Destiny 2, the raid is not yet active. It must first be unlocked by Bungie.
When does the raid start in Destiny 2?
The raid, the largest and most difficult PvE activity for a fireteam of 6 players, begins one week after the launch of Destiny 2:
Raid start: September 13 at 7 PM (Wednesday)
Raids in Destiny usually take hours to master. Therefore, starting at 7 PM, it’s best not to plan anything else – because the raid run will take time. All bosses need to be defeated, and all puzzles solved.
By the way: The raid opens only one week after the launch of Destiny 2, so you have time to prepare for the launch. A high power level is required.
Raid in Destiny 2 – Matchmaking and Power Level?
How high the required power level will be is still unknown. According to Luke Smith, the raid has a power between 260 and 280. So, you should use the time until Wednesday to boost your power level if you want to be there right at the raid start.
There will be no matchmaking for the raid. You need to form a fireteam of up to 6 players yourself. Presumably, some mechanics will require 6 players, so you should not attempt the raid with fewer Guardians.
The Guided Games for the raid will start on September 26. This means solo players will have to find a fireteam elsewhere if they want to sneak into the raid this week.
There is hardly any doubt that the World Eater refers to the Leviathan raid. That the raid is called “Leviathan” is evident from the trophy list of Destiny 2.
In concept art and in a vision at the beginning of the Destiny 2 campaign, a huge, fish-like structure with a wide-open mouth can be seen:
This thing was already discovered during the beta through a glitch on Nessus (On the Comms also sends you to Nessus):
This is where the raid is likely to take place, as indicated by the following symbol, which is on the raid trophy and on a sweatshirt of game director Luke Smith and is, with a bit of imagination, formed by the huge “Leviathan”:
And against whom do we fight in this Leviathan? There is already a possible answer to this. The “Destiny 2 Collector’s Edition” includes a book of the Cabal, an “open invitation” from Emperor Calus. Calus was overthrown by Ghaul, betrayed by many friends and even family members and banished into exile. And this exile is said to be within a huge Leviathan, according to the book.
There will be a “brand new” penalty if you die in the raid. What this looks like is not known. This aims to solve the problem that players can only watch if they die (this was the case in the hard mode of Destiny 1).
The new raid is said to be “a place that feels real,” according to Luke Smith. Players should believe that it could be real.
The trophy list shows: There seems to be a difficulty called “Prestige” in the raid. This is probably the highest difficulty level.
In October, new tasks will come in the raid – likely raid challenges.
Power Level of the 1st Raids in Destiny 2 is known
Update 11.9. 22:55: As recently reported by the game director, the first raid of Destiny will have a power level of 260-280.
This Guardian managed solo what others struggle to achieve in groups of three. He completed this week’s Nightfall Strike in Destiny 2 solo!
The Nightfall Strike is one of the toughest activities in Destiny 2. Only Guardians with a high Power Level are able to successfully complete it. The requirement is 230 Power, the recommended level is 240 – however, you should be above 260 before attempting the “Nightfall”.
On the one hand, it is easier to master then, and on the other hand, the “Powerful Gear” is worth it, which you can only earn weekly. Because the Nightfall is one of the weekly activities, whose loot is limited but among the best.
In the launch week of Destiny 2, the Strike “The Arms Dealer” is the Nightfall. In it, you need to eliminate the Cabal boss “Bracus Zahn”. While many Guardians are currently struggling to reach high Power Levels with this activity – and in a fireteam of three players – YouTuber Esoterickk is now showing how “easily” one can complete the Nightfall Strike solo. See for yourself:

With the Fist of Chaos into Death – and to Victory
Esoterickk is no stranger in the Guardian community. Back in Destiny 1, he repeatedly made waves with solo runs. In Destiny 2, this solo Nightfall is his biggest achievement so far.
This is his Guardian loadout:
Striker Titan with Pulse Grenade and the top skill tree (with Shoulder Charge “Seismic Strike”)
Power Level 295, Mobility 2, Resilience 5, Recovery 5
He states that it was quite a challenge. The most difficult part was the end of the boss fight, which is why he decided to swiftly take down Bracus Zahn, throw a Pulse Grenade at him, and hit him with Fists of Chaos. While Esoterickk did die himself, so did the boss, allowing him to successfully complete the Nightfall Strike.
That he is not doing this Strike for the first time is apparent within moments. He purposefully completes the objectives and positions himself skillfully with the Titan Barricade. According to his own account, it took him 5-6 hours until this run succeeded.
By the way: The Nightfall Strike was completed on “Normal”. There is also the “Prestige” difficulty – for which the recommended Power is 300. It’s only a matter of time until Esoterickk attempts this solo.
The different weather conditions in PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds will soon be supplemented by fog. Like a veil, the white wall lies on the map, swallowing trees in the distance.
With this limited visibility, playing in PUBG is a whole new challenge.
Fog in PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds
On Twitter, the PUBG account recently showed more screenshots, giving you an impression of the new weather. Last week, the feature was announced for the early-access shooter with an image.
Do we need fog in PUBG?
Changing weather conditions are an interesting feature that makes each battle a bit different. The dynamic weather was heavily promoted in Battlefield 1 and was well received by fans who found themselves in sudden sandstorms.
Other games like Ghost Recon Wildlands take you to deserts, snowy mountains, and wet jungles. Here too, the environment affects various factors like visibility or camouflage.
In PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, dense fog can make it difficult for a sniper when he can only see targets that are just a few meters away from him.
Are you excited about the new weather conditions, or is this just a burden that makes playing more difficult for you?
Tomorrow there will be patch notes with a new weapon
As announced on Twitter, we should get the patch notes for the latest PUBG update tomorrow, on Tuesday, September 12th. But there is not only fog in the new patch. A new weapon has also been announced.
World of Warcraft secretly changed the loot rules. Transmog collectors are happy about this – at least to a large extent.
With the wardrobe and collections in World of Warcraft, many people have caught the collecting fever. After all, one wants to have the right transmog set for every occasion so that their character always looks the part.
This has led many players to revisit old instances to snag that one fancy robe or the stylish plate bikini.
With Patch 7.3, Blizzard changed the loot rules in the “old” dungeons – those in levels 1-60, the “Classic” areas. These now also follow the rules of “personal loot” – but with a big change: Every boss always drops wearable loot when you’re playing solo.
A feast for collectors – transmog farming is now much easier.
In plain terms, this means that every boss will always leave behind an item that can be used by the character and thus also goes into the wardrobe (except for rings and necklaces).
Old drop chances now irrelevant?
This also renders the drop probabilities for many items pointless. For example, if a cloth robe used to drop with a 7% chance, but now it is the only wearable item in the boss’s loot list, you will guaranteed get the robe.
However, there are already some players who are dissatisfied with these changes. Because anyone, for instance, looking for a cloak’s appearance that only has agility or strength will never see that cloak drop. A warrior looking for the skin of a paladin armor with intelligence will probably have to forget about it. Here, only second characters can help, with which the instances can be tackled again.
This change does not affect the random loot from trash mobs in the instances. Here, “green items” can still drop in masses as before, regardless of the armor class.
Whether this whole thing is just a bug or intentional is still not entirely certain. However, it is noticeable that this works only in the old instances and not in “The Burning Crusade” and beyond – where loot drops as usual. It seems like a confidential test run to gather reactions and data.
Cortyn says: While my collector’s heart is thrilled by the change, it significantly diminishes my ambition. I was quite proud of finally snagging the robes of reverence or other fancy items after countless instance visits. That they now occur more frequently somewhat diminishes that effort. But it remains to be seen what Blizzard will do with it in the future.
What do you think about these new loot rules? A great thing or thoughtless?
The sandbox MMO ArcheAge is notorious for spreading all kinds of bugs and frustration during new server launches and mergers. But this time, everything went surprisingly smoothly.
ArcheAge has a long history full of annoyances. Hardly any server restart or merge has gone smoothly. There have always been serious issues. Sometimes many players couldn’t log in and missed the big land rush. Other times items were not correctly transferred, leaving players stranded in the new world.
ArcheAge: A fresh start without major issues
Due to these bad experiences, many players were understandably skeptical when the merging of six ArcheAge servers each in the USA and Europe into two new realms was announced. The populations of the original servers were supposed to completely move to the two new realms in each region or other unaffected servers.
But the expected trouble was absent this time! Overall, everything actually went smoothly. There were a few cases of lost items, and while these issues were being resolved, housing was disabled. However, this bug was quickly fixed, and now the houses are back up, and players are happily at work.
ArcheAge – Only a few bugs
Only a few bugs are currently bothering the developers, such as falling guild ratings after inviting new members. Also unfortunate: Some players are unable to move when they are automatically kicked from the game due to being AFK for too long. But compared to the frustrations that have occurred in ArcheAge before, the current bugs and program errors are not serious problems.
