The Tower returns in Destiny 2 and with it a few activities and mini-games for Guardians to pass the time. We present them to you!
Who doesn’t know him? That one colleague who takes what feels like an eternity in the Tower to sort his gear. Or that friend who says he will be online “in a minute,” which quickly turns into 15.
So you don’t get bored while cursing this special colleague, Bungie has hidden a few mini-games in the Tower again that you can play to pass the time.
The Floor is Lava
This game is probably familiar to everyone from their childhood. The goal of the game is to reach a certain spot without touching the ground, or else it’s “Game Over.” You can play this game in the new Tower of Destiny 2 once you have completed the main campaign.
You can find the mini-game one level above your starting point in the Tower. The corresponding spot is marked with the words “Don’t pick me up”:
The warning for the mini-game “The Floor is Lava”
When you activate this warning, you start glowing red, and a debuff appears on the left side – “The Floor is Lava”. At the same time, a point lights up at the other end of the Tower that you must reach unharmed. You can always just jump off the balcony for fun…
We weren’t the only ones sad to learn that the purple ball in the Tower of Destiny 1 was sneakily flattened by Ghaul. The disturbing images went around the world and took our breath away.
The broken ball in the destroyed Tower of Destiny
But don’t despair – the purple ball is back. And this time you can prove your skills and change the color of the balls. Because when you place the balls in certain spots in the Tower, they disappear after a little fireworks, and a new ball of a different color appears!
If you place the purple ball in the right spot in the courtyard, a green ball appears
If you place the green ball correctly, a black ball appears
If the black ball is in the right place, the blue ball spawns
If you also manage to place the blue ball correctly, a giant ball appears in the center of the Tower. Since this looks like the Traveler, it will of course be welcomed with fireworks.
The Traveler’s ball announces itself with fireworks
How you can unlock the Traveler ball is explained in the following video:

Wizards remain a powerful class in The Elder Scrolls Online. But how does the Sorcerer perform in PvE and PvP? And what should one pay attention to in their builds in 2017? Find out here in our ESO guide for Sorcerers!
The Sorcerer in The Elder Scrolls Online is a versatile class that excels particularly well as a damage dealer. However, Sorcerers are not defenseless and can hold their own pretty well even without a tank and healer. Learn more here about an effective PvE DPS build based on Magicka and a PvP specialization based on Stamina.
The Elder Scrolls Online – The Sorcerer as a Magicka Damage Dealer in PvE
Dealing damage is the Sorcerer’s favorite pastime, and this build is particularly well-suited for it. This is a PvE-focused specialization that utilizes Magicka for its skills.
Race: Altmer – The High Elves have a bonus on Magicka and deal more damage with fire, frost, and lightning magic. All three are included in this build! Dark Elves or Bretons are also useful races for this build.
Armor: You only use light armor due to the Magicka bonus.
Weapons: You use a destruction staff for both slots.
Equipment bonuses: You use the “Infused” trait on your weapons to maximize your enchantment charges. Your armors are adorned with the “Divines” trait to ensure your Mundus Stone rocks. For glyphs, you use Magicka glyphs on the armors and Wrath glyphs on the weapons.
Mundus Stone: “The Apprentice” is ideal here, as it increases spell penetration and thus our DPS.
Sets: Particularly suitable are the sets “Necropotence” (drop in Cloudrest) and “Moon Dancer” (drop in the Depths of Lorkhaj).
Attributes: You distribute your points entirely to Magicka.
Elemental Wrath (Ultimate – From Level 50 Destruction Staves)
The Elder Scrolls Online – The Sorcerer as a Stamina Damage Dealer in PvP
This Sorcerer is no scruffy figure with a staff and robe. Rather, he likes to wear heavy armor, swords, shields, and a two-handed weapon. This allows him not only to deal damage but also to withstand hits well.
Race: Races that provide a stamina bonus – both for the maximum value and recovery – are a good choice for this build. Therefore, Orcs, Redguards, Nords, Imperials, and Khajiit are suitable.
Armor: You only use heavy armor, except for the hands and belt, where you opt for medium gear.
Weapons: You use a shield and sword in the first slot, and a two-handed weapon in the second slot.
Equipment bonuses: You use the “Sharpened” trait on your weapons to maximize your penetration. Your armors are equipped with the “Impenetrable” trait to make sure you don’t get crit very easily. For glyphs, you use Stamina glyphs on the armors and weapons.
Mundus Stone: “The Warrior” is good for offensive players, while “The Tower” grants even more Stamina.
Sets: Particularly suitable is the set “Rags of the Bone Pirate” (drop in the dungeon “Blackheart Haven”).
Attributes: You distribute your points entirely to Stamina.
In Destiny 2, the quest “On the Comms” has been discovered. You are to expect the arrival of the World Eater and collect Red Legion communications.
Destiny 2 has been live for some time now, and more guardians are reporting that they have reached character level 20 and completed the campaign. However, the adventure does not end there – for many, the true Destiny experience begins only then. Now, you need to raise your Power level, optimize your gear, discover secrets, dominate the Crucible, and solve more quests and tasks.
One of these “endgame” quests is causing a stir right now. This quest is called “On the Comms” and announces the arrival of a World Eater! What is this about?

“On the Comms” – Quest Guide to Red Legion Communications
According to user reports, you receive the quest “On the Comms” only from character level 20 and after completing the story. It can then randomly drop from enemies – several users report they received the quest from Cabal in the European Dead Zone. There is no specific location, so you have to wait for a random drop.
The “quest” then comes in the form of an item in your Power weapon slot: This item is marked as a quest step and assigns you to go to Nessus and obtain Red Legion communication codes. You need 5 of them.
These communication codes (called “Red Legion Communications” as the items) can randomly drop from the Cabal on Nessus.
The real challenge is to first find Cabal units on Nessus. Venero TV recommends playing the public event in the Artifact’s Edge multiple times. This way, you can quickly get the items:
Once you have found all the communication codes, the next quest step begins: “Expect the Arrival of the World Eater”. According to the description, the decrypted transmissions indicate that something is approaching. One should watch for the “World Eater”.
Expect the Arrival of the World Eater – What is the World Eater?
Currently, the guardians are still waiting for the World Eater. This quest step cannot be completed yet. What the World Eater is, cannot be definitively stated at this time.
However, everything indicates that this is the “Leviathan”, the upcoming raid. In concept art (see our title image) and in a vision at the beginning of the Destiny 2 campaign, a huge, fish-like structure with a wide-open mouth can be seen:
All previous information regarding this thing shows that the raid will take place therein. If you want to read more information on these raid theories, you can read them in the linked article.

Getting the Rat King in Destiny 2 – here’s how to find the exotic pistol. First, you need to solve the riddle “The Rat King’s Friends”.
Even during the gameplay premiere of Destiny 2, the Rat King attracted attention – even though no one knew this name back then. A pistol with an intricately designed barrel was showcased both in gameplay material and in a display case:
This weapon features rats depicted as they apparently dig a tunnel through the barrel. Due to this design alone, the Rat King is currently considered one of the most coveted weapons in Destiny 2.
How to get the exotic pistol Rat King in Destiny 2 – Exotic Quest for the Rat King
Sloane is waiting for you at the Siren’s Watch!
You can only have a chance at the Rat King after you have completed the story campaign. Then, quests will be unlocked in all four worlds. You will recognize these quests by a crown symbol on a blue background.
For the Rat King quest, you must accept the quest “The Enemy of My Enemy” on Titan. Sloane needs your help and is located in the Siren’s Watch, New Pacific Arcology.
In the second step of the quest, you need to find a methane reactor. This mission will give you the first clue about the Rat King.
At the end of the mission, you will receive a kinetic weapon called “The Rat King’s Friends” as a reward. However, this item is not a real weapon, but a quest step where you must solve a riddle.
Detectives, take note: This is a riddle to obtain the Rat King! Shooting isn’t an option yet.
How to solve the riddle “The Rat King’s Friends”
You must solve multiple riddle steps for “The Rat King’s Friends“. Each riddle has a short, rhyming text. As a hint, it says that you should solve the riddle with other rats. This means you need a fireteam. Here’s how it goes:
First, you need to complete three patrol missions in a fireteam with at least one friend (which world supposedly doesn’t matter – Titan has been confirmed by Venero TV). Then you’ll get a new riddle.
In the next step, you must complete two public events with your fireteam.
For the next riddle step, you need to complete two PvP matches with your fireteam – they do not have to be won. According to user reports, strikes can also be completed.
Finally, you should complete the Nightfall strike with your fireteam. At least 5 minutes must be left on the timer. This is the most difficult step, as a high power level is required. Then you will receive the Rat King as a reward.
And if you can’t find certain locations or want to see it in action, check out the helpful video about the Rat King:

The Rat King is an exotic pistol with a fire rate of 300 and a magazine size of 15.
The special perks of the Rat King do the following:
Rat Pack: The weapon becomes stronger when nearby allies are also equipped with the Rat King. The effect can stack up to 6 times. When this effect is active, the weapon glows red. The more allies nearby, the faster you can shoot with the Rat King.
Vermin: If you reload immediately after a kill, you will briefly become invisible.
By the way: The Rat King has an ornament that allows you to darken its appearance:
The latest adventure module Tomb of Annihilation of the MMORPG Neverwinter has been released for PS4 and Xbox One. This brings new challenges that are being met with “ok” by PC players.
Tomb of Annihilation takes you to the jungle of Chult, a new play area packed with undead and dinosaurs. Here, you will try to uncover the secret of a magical curse that has the city of Neverwinter in its iron grip. You will face many challenges and experience plenty of adventures. The highlight is the dungeon “Tomb of Annihilation”, where many deadly traps will make your life difficult.
Barren adventures in the cool jungle
While players on Xbox One and PS4 are now setting out for the first time to explore the jungle of Chult, PC players have been doing so for some time. The feedback on the latest adventure module has been somewhat mixed. The new area has been received positively. The jungle is varied and offers a lot of new content. However, the quests have not been as well received. It is criticized that it is simply more of the same.
Mostly quests in which you must kill a certain number of monsters or find some items – typical MMORPG filler quests.
Quests need more variety
Andreas believes: Neverwinter relies heavily on such quests in all other modules as well as in the main game, and with Tomb of Annihilation, it seems that fans have now reached a point where they have simply had enough. The developers will have a hard time providing enough variety and excitement for the next module.
The player numbers according to Steamcharts are actually very stable, but the developers of the MMORPG Neverwinter should seriously consider the feedback from fans and incorporate more varied quests in the future.

If you didn’t manage to get the Rat King before the weekly reset of Destiny 2, you’re in luck! We’ll show you why!
The first weekly reset of Destiny 2 has brought us a new Nightfall strike. It’s in the Tangled Shore – this strike was playable in the beta.
To obtain the exotic pistol Rat King, you need to complete a Nightfall with 5 minutes remaining in the final step. This was a challenging task last week – the new Nightfall this week makes it easier!
You will be dealing with the following modifications this week:
Prism: Rotating elements. When the respective element is active, your damage dealt increases significantly, while damage from other elements is reduced. Kinetic damage and incoming damage are not affected.
Time Loop: Rings – Vex time gates have appeared. Pass through them to extend the mission timer.
Note: The Prism modification is currently bugged. The element that deals increased damage should be permanently displayed in the HUD. This is currently not the case. Always call out the active element and remember it to maximize your damage.
The Nightfall strike starts with 11 minutes remaining, and if the timer runs out, it’s back to orbit, and the mission fails. Properly managing the Prism modifier is key to completing the strike in the required time. Here’s how you should equip yourself when the modifier is active.
A Vex time portal from the Nightfall “The Tangled Shore”
The second modifier ensures you gain time when you pass through specific Vex time gates. You get an additional 30 seconds this way. Keep an eye out for these and make sure to collect all gates. They can appear one at a time or multiple times at one location.
If you are surrounded by many enemies, always ask yourself whether you can just keep going. Enemies only delay you and cost you time. Unlike last week’s Nightfall, defeating minor enemies does not grant you extra time.
Boss Fight Strategy
The boss fight is tough, as it is a Nightfall strike. Therefore, it’s even more important not to go into the fight unprepared. The boss fight itself will occur in three phases.
In the first phase, make sure that one Guardian deals with the pesky Harpies to distract them, while the other two can deal damage to the boss. Once the boss has lost enough health, the phase changes and his annoying friends disappear.
In the next phase, focus on killing the minor enemies before turning your attention to the boss. Only dealing damage to the boss will quickly get you overwhelmed. This task is for everyone!
In the final boss phase, you will face more Harpies and Goblins than usual. Two Guardians should focus entirely on the minor enemies and only shoot the boss if circumstances allow. One Guardian should completely focus on the final boss.
If you collect all Vex time portals and take down the boss quickly, you should have more than five minutes left to call the Rat King your own! This week should be significantly easier than last week.

Infusing has been revamped in Destiny 2 . What has changed specifically? And what do mod components have to do with it? We answer the most pressing questions.
Since the release of Destiny 2, Guardians have been trying various ways to maximize their power level. A common method for this is infusing.
What is infusing and when should you do it in Destiny 2?
Infusing refers to the process of merging a high power-level gear piece into an item with a low power level to raise the power level of the weaker item. The infused item disappears.
Infusing only works with weapons and armor pieces of Legendary (purple) and Exotic (yellow) quality. Only these can be upgraded. However, items of lower quality (blue) can be “infused into” these items.
Infusing makes sense, for example, if you want to continue using a weapon with a low power level because you handle it particularly well: The weapon feels right, or you just find the design cool.
Weapons in Destiny 2 have a variety of hidden properties that influence shooting behavior and determine whether a weapon feels “good” or not.
The basic principle of infusing reappears in Destiny 2, albeit in a modified form.
In Destiny 2, you can only infuse weapons when you have a second weapon of the same type with a higher power level. This means that a shotgun can only be improved if you have a second, better shotgun on hand.
This is a new feature compared to Destiny 1, where you could infuse across weapon categories. So if you want to upgrade a specific weapon type, look for weapons of the same kind. By the way, infusing costs you Glimmer. It can also cost Legendary Shards – depending on the gear’s quality.
The mod components – The devil is in the detail – Why sometimes 5 points are missing
New in Destiny 2 are the mods, specific modifications that allow you to enhance your gear. The gameplay varieties are diverse, including different elements or reload perks, everything is there. Among other things, you can get a mod that increases the power level of the gear item by 5.
An example: Your power weapon has a power level of 250. Now you receive a second power weapon of the same type with a power level of 265 (260 normal and +5 points due to the modifiers). You infuse the weapon with a power level of 265 into the weapon with 250.
As a result, you receive a power weapon with a power level of 260. What happened? The weapon to be infused had a mod that increased the power by 5. Since the weapon is destroyed in the infusion process, the mod is also destroyed.
What sounds like a disadvantage works in the opposite case as well. If the weapon being upgraded contains this mod, it benefits from it when infused.
A new cinematic is available in World of Warcraft at the end of the quests. You can check it out now!
Since this morning (September 13, 2017), the final chapter of the Argus campaign from World of Warcraft: Legion is available. The quests surrounding “The War of Light and Shadow” deal with the fundamental forces in the cosmos of Warcraft. At the end of the new quest, there is a visit to an instance – at the end of which there is a cinematic.
Spoiler warning: If you don’t want to know what happens at the end, you should not read further.
The Cinematic in the Seat of the Triumvirate
In the cinematic, we witness how Alleria channels the powers of the Void to destroy a fallen Naaru. In the end, she absorbs its powers, although it is not entirely clear whether this really happens of her own free will.
Alleria herself is filled with the magic of the Void and resembles scarcely a regular High Elf – even though her eyes are still blue. Check out the video here:

Interestingly, Alleria had previously experimented with the powers of the Void and was punished for it by being captured by the Naaru Xe’ra (the Naaru that also wanted to purify Illidan).
If you don’t know the underlying backstory yet, you should make a direct trip to Argus and start the final story chapter on the Vindikaar. This ultimately leads into the new dungeon, the Seat of the Triumvirate. From here, Velen, Archimonde, and Kil’jaeden once ruled over the Eredar. And today, only devastation remains at this place and a Naaru that was left behind during the escape from Argus.
Over the millennia, the Naaru grew weaker and weaker until it ultimately became a creature of the Void – and it is exactly this creature that you seek in the dungeon together with Alleria.
Cortyn says: Definitely a cool story development, although I find “Void Elves” a bit “out there” – but what else did I expect on the homeworld of the Draenei? However, I am firmly convinced that using the Void will backfire in the long run. I can’t explain the dark laughter (second 15-17) any other way. But at least they managed to make a 20-year-old character like Alleria interesting again. I want to know how it goes on …
The next map of Overwatch is around the corner. We tell you the release date when Junkertown will be playable.
Several weeks ago at Gamescom 2017, the next map for Overwatch was revealed: Junkertown. Along with a small, funny cinematic featuring Roadhog and Junkrat, the excitement among players was high. A few days later, the map landed on the PTR for everyone interested to test it thoroughly.
Junkertown releases next week
Now Blizzard has released an official preview video of Junkertown and also revealed the release date. Junkertown will be available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on September 19, 2017 – that is, in one week.
The preview video provides some exciting insights into the creation of Junkertown. For example, you can see how Blizzard models different parts of the map and get some interesting background information.

Especially exciting will be the info about the “Queen”. She is story-wise the leader of the Junkers and is considered the sole ruler of Junkertown. Anyone who wants to achieve something must get past the Queen and needs her approval. Previously, she was a kind of “gladiator” herself, as there is a large arena in Junkertown where piloted mechs fight against each other.
Junkertown itself will be a payload map. The attackers must escort the payload in the form of gold, packed with a thick bomb, deep into the heart of Junkertown to play a big trick on the Queen and vanish with all of her belongings. The developers paid attention to many details, and numerous houses are traversable to set ambushes or find cover.
Are you already looking forward to the new map? Or do you care little about Junkertown?
But that’s not all: Bungie had to extend the maintenance twice due to complications and “new issues”. Overall, the servers were down from 5 PM to 11 PM – ruining the evening for many.
However, the maintenance brought the update 1.03, officially named “Hotfix 1.0.1.2”. This has brought numerous improvements and new features. We summarize the changes.
Patch Notes 1.03 – Clan Overview available, issue with MIDA Mini-Tool resolved
The following changes are mentioned in the official patch notes:
The Clan Overview with the list of all Clan members is now displayed in the game.
The issue where some players did not receive the MIDA Mini-Tool when they had a full weapon inventory has been resolved. They can now pick up the missing weapon from Devrim Kay in the EDZ.
A rare issue that could lead to crashes has been fixed.
Guide Games are now active, hate symbol removed
There are more new features that took place on the night from Tuesday to Wednesday:
Yesterday, Bungie mentioned that a “hate symbol” was found on gloves in the game, which they want to remove as soon as possible. The image has now been removed from the “shared game world”. So it shouldn’t be visible when you run around in the game with it. However, it continues to be displayed during inspection or on the item symbol. A hotfix is planned for next week to remove this completely.
If you are suffering from Cabbage errors, Bungie has published a solution approach.
A problem was encountered where players did not receive the Prestige Nightfall Aura. If you have already completed the Prestige Nightfall, you can earn the aura again only next week after the weekly reset.
The Guide Games are live – but only with a ticket
In addition, the Guide Games Beta is live. This means that Clan members can now form a fireteam to guide solo Guardians through a Nightfall strike.
However, not all solo Guardians can participate. You need a Guide Games Beta Ticket, which you find in your post office – or not. Bungie does not specify the criteria for how these tickets were distributed or whether the distribution was completely random.
All clans, however, are eligible to act as guides in Guide Games.
The beta is set to last until September 26th. After that, Guide Games will be activated for all Guardians for the raid and the Nightfall strike.
To start a Guide Game, select the orange symbol next to the Nightfall strike. A power level of 240 is required. Click on it. You can now choose the mode, whether you are a seeker (single player) or a guide (clan). As a guide, the queue is currently one minute, as a single player about 4 minutes (this changes over time).
In other words, there are currently significantly more single players than available guide clans. Bungie expects this to balance out in the coming weeks as more Guardians join clans.
Fortnite is actually a pure coop game where up to 4 players build forts together and kill zombies. However, a PvP mode in battle royale style is soon to come, which strikingly resembles the mega-hit PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds.
Fortnite is soon getting a new game mode despite its early access status. However, this is not a new coop mode where the nice Fortnite players help each other by sharing resources and building big forts for protection against zombies. Rather, the new game mode “Battle Royale” is exactly about that: epic mass slaughter among friends a la PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds.
Fortnite – PvP Slaughter instead of PvE Coop
So if Fortnite has been your favorite PvE game and PUBG your favorite PvP game until now, then soon Fortnite might take both places in your heart. Because the new battle royale mode looks extremely similar to PUBG.
You will be dropped like in the big role model with a parachute over an island (albeit from a flying bus) and have to fight for survival against 99 other players.
At the beginning, you only have a pickaxe and everything else you need to find and build. Unlike PUBG, you can still craft all sorts of things from resources in Fortnite, allowing you to create insurmountable forts and deadly traps. However, since the play area will likely shrink in Fortnite Battle Royale as well, you shouldn’t fortify too strongly.
Fortnite – Test the Battle Royale mode now!
If you’re thinking, “Oh no, I have to wait forever for this!” you can be happy! The new battle royale mode for Fortnite is coming on September 26! But it gets even better! You can already play the test version!

Although chief developer Donald Mustard warns that the servers will probably not be very stable and there will still be plenty of bugs. But it should still be a lot of fun. Furthermore, all players should behave and not insult each other or exploit bugs.
Additionally, the PvP mode is supposed to be strictly separated from the PvE main game.

When does the FIFA 18 demo start today in Germany? At what time can I start the download? When is the demo available in the PlayStation Store (PS4), the Xbox Store, and on Origin (PC)? The gaming community, not just on reddit, is speculating.
The FIFA 18 demo is coming out today, on September 12th! Finally, FIFA fans can comfortably get an idea from home of how FIFA 18 will play. Whether the new gameplay is any good and whether one wants to buy FIFA 18 this year.
The big question is only: When does it finally start? When will the German version of the FIFA 18 demo be released today?
Release time of the FIFA 18 demo – When is the download available in Germany?
EA Sports itself does not provide specific times when the demo will be available in the stores. In fact, the demo was officially announced only a few hours ago on Twitter. Around midnight our time, the developers happily tweeted: Tomorrow (on September 12), you can play the FIFA 18 demo.
A leak from the Xbox Store fueled the rumor that the demo would be released today at 2 AM our time worldwide on all platforms. However, that is not the case. The gaming community worldwide is still waiting for the start of the download.
So when does it start? It will likely go like last year with the demo launch of FIFA 17. It depends on when the stores receive an update. Last year, the Xbox 360 store was first in line. Around noon, the demo went live then.
It was only at 7 PM that the demo was live on all platforms, including PS4. Currently, however, there is still no official release time. We will update this article as soon as something happens.
Update: According to EA, the launch depends on the platform and location.
Update 11 AM: Still no sign of the demo.
Update 2:30 PM: Still no demo in sight.
Update 4 PM: According to PlayStation, the demo should appear “early in the evening” in Europe.
New Zealand has never been so populous – New Zealand Time
Many fans now want to proceed particularly cleverly to be able to play before everyone else. For example, they create an account in the PSN that is registered in New Zealand, as they assume that the “FIFA 18” demo will be available in the store there earlier. Australia is also a popular country that is indicated when creating the account.
However, even in New Zealand, as of now (September 12th at 8 AM), no demo can be downloaded yet. There is nothing left but to wait.
Contents of the FIFA 18 demo – Game modes, teams
In the meantime, the contents of the FIFA 18 demo have been officially confirmed. There has also been a closed beta with several reports – among which there were concerns about sluggish gameplay in FIFA 18. Below are the game modes, teams, and stadiums of the test version.
Two game modes in the FIFA 18 demo
You can try two game modes in FIFA 18: Kick-off and The Journey: Hunter Returns. In addition, the demo shows you the main innovations of FIFA 18. You will have to wait until the release of the full game for modes such as Ultimate Team, Career Mode, or Pro Clubs.
Kick-off – Here you can test FIFA 18 gameplay in single-player or co-op mode. A half lasts 4 minutes. Various difficulty levels such as Amateur, Pro, or World Class are available.
The Journey: Hunter Returns – The story mode returns in FIFA 18. The journey of Alex Hunter, a young professional footballer, continues. In the demo, you will experience a brief excerpt from the story mode.
Keep in mind that no progress from the demo will be carried over to the finished game.
All teams in the FIFA 18 demo – with FC Bayern
In total, you can play with 12 teams in the FIFA 18 demo. One team from the Bundesliga is included: FC Bayern.
FIFA 18 demo download – PS4, Xbox One, and PC – PlayStation Store, Xbox Store, Origin
The demo is expected to be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC according to EA Sports. Once the demo is available for download, you can download it either through Origin (PC) or through the respective console store. No information is available from EA regarding the PS3 and Xbox 360 demo for FIFA 18.
Update 7 PM: Numerous users report that the demo is now online on PS4 and Xbox One:
In the MMO shooter Destiny 2 Bungie has found a hate symbol in its game – but the players haven’t yet.
Major Excitement Over Hate Symbol at Bungie
In the midst of server maintenance, a tweet from Bungie emerged: “We have become aware that a glove in Destiny 2 shares elements with a hate symbol. That is not our intention, we will remove it.”

The curious thing: Players have no idea what this is about:
Which glove is it?
and what hate symbol is meant?
Bungie itself has not yet specified which gloves are exactly concerned.
Obscure Internet Troll “Religion”
Let’s get to the speculations:
We as Germans first look for hate symbols and think: “Where is a swastika?” That would surely have also caught Bungie’s attention.
It seems that the hate symbol in question is something more obscure and recent.
On reddit, the speculation arose, that the gloves are the “Road Complex AA1” – you can see the inscription K – K on the arm.
On reddit, readers believe it stands for the satirical religion “KEK”. This religion has formed in social networks. For some, it is a “cover” under which attacks by people with national ideology against more liberal people take place.
It is difficult to precisely define this phenomenon: KEK likely belongs to the “alt-right” movement scene in the USA. Its symbol is a frog-faced creature with Donald Trump’s hairstyle. This all falls within the hard-to-grasp area of “meme/politics” with a hefty dose of “trolling.”
This movement seems to have organized itself in the forum “4chan”. Allegedly, this movement is directed against “liberals” – but as it is with such internet things on “4chan”, satire and biting mockery blend into an explosive mix.
Indeed, there seem to be similarities in color and symbol of the movement’s “flag” to the Destiny 2 gloves. The question is whether such a thing was smuggled into the game by a Bungie designer, intentionally or unintentionally. It is also still unclear whether it is really these gloves that are now to be changed. With such “4chan” parallels, the danger of being badly trolled is high.
We will report back when there is more information on the matter.
In Destiny 2 the servers are down today, on September 12th. Maintenance is being conducted. The servers will be offline for several hours. Update 1.03 is live.
Update: The maintenance has been extended until 9 PM. Update 1.03 can already be downloaded. It is 4.7 GB in size (PS4). For some, it shows that it is only 50 MB in size. Additionally, some receive the error message that this version of Destiny 2 is no longer available when they start the game. There are no further details from Bungie at this time. Update 7:50 PM: Community Manager Cozmo comments on the problem that the Destiny 2 version is not available. He refers to the maintenance.
Update 9 PM: Bungie extends until 11 PM! The maintenance will last longer. In the game, the message appears that Destiny 2 is full.

Almost a week after the release of Destiny 2, the first detailed, announced maintenance takes place today, on September 12, 2017.
Due to the time difference, Bungie is working on the servers at a rather inconvenient time for German players – just when our workday starts to end, the developers begin maintenance.
Here are the important times (we specify German time):
4 PM: Preparations for the maintenance begin. You can no longer log into Destiny 2 and Destiny 1.
5 PM: The servers are taken offline. All players from Destiny 2 and Destiny 1 will be removed from their activities.
11 PM: The planned end of maintenance. The servers should come back online.
Keep in mind that Bungie’s time indications are often quite vague. The past has shown that server downtimes can sometimes be much shorter, but also much longer than indicated.
What changes today during maintenance? – Update 1.0.1.2
Update 5 PM: After the maintenance, you need to download hotfix 1.0.1.2. What this changes is not specified. On the PS4, it has version number 1.03.
Bungie is not providing information on what changes are being made today. Presumably, they are working on server stability and a problem with the Nightfall strike modifiers.
The last issues Bungie mentioned were the error codes Olive, Chicken, Pony, and Sheep. Additionally, they found problems with two Nightfall strike modifiers (Prism and Momentum). These, however, require a future hotfix. Whether this will come today is uncertain.
Before you now sit bored staring at the wall during your evening, you can read some of our articles here:
The PlayStation Store is experiencing issues today, on 12th September. The error code WC-40383-8 is displayed. The service is undergoing maintenance. A reason for this disruption is quickly found.
If you want to log into the PlayStation Store this evening, on 12th September, you will be haunted by the error code WC-40383-8 . Even those who manage to open the store can be kicked out quickly by this code. The service is currently being maintained. Sometimes there’s just a message that an error has occurred. The problems have been occurring since around 7 PM.
A reason for this disruption is not hard to find. The FIFA 18 demo starts today, and since 7 PM many players have reported that it is now available. In other words, millions of fans are now trying their luck to start the download for the demo.
Everything indicates that the store is overloaded.
By the way, the error code means according to PlayStation that the connection to the server cannot be established.
Pearl Abyss, the developers of the sandbox MMO Black Desert Online, have four more games, possibly MMOs, in development. Black Desert currently has over 7 million players.
The Black Desert developers Pearl Abyss from South Korea are serious about it: On September 14, the company is going public and will offer 1.8 million shares. As part of the announcement of the IPO, there were a few interesting news. On one hand, Black Desert Online is extremely successful and on the other hand, four new games are already in development at Pearl Abyss.
Black Desert Online Successful – Player Numbers of the MMORPG
To impress potential shareholders, Kyung In Jung – CEO of Pearl Abyss – shared some impressive numbers:
Black Desert Online has 7.65 million registered players (as of July 2017)
Total revenues from sales are $301 million
By July 2017, 530,000 copies of BDO have been sold on Steam
BDO is the best-selling game of the company internationally and is available in over 100 countries
87 percent of the employees are developers actively working on the studio’s games
Are 4 new MMOs coming with Black Desert graphics?
But in addition to the planned launch of Black Desert Online on Xbox One and the mobile version Black Desert M, there are supposed to be more games from Pearl Abyss.
By the second half of 2018, two new games that are already in development are expected to be released. Another new game will come in 2019, and in 2021 another title from Pearl Abyss is set to be released.
All four of these games are said to utilize the in-house Black Desert engine, and correspondingly look good. Kyung In Jung did not explicitly refer to the upcoming games as MMOs but mentioned that the games could contain this keyword.
At least they would be high-quality, network-based games
Because three players from the final team “Immortals” overslept the CS:GO final at Dreamhack, they had to forfeit the victory. An expensive nap.
The name “Immortals” is already known by many gamers from the eSports scene. They have teams in League of Legends, Overwatch, and also CS:GO. The Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team of the “Immortals” had issues with the sleep rhythm of three players. They overslept the starting time of the final at Dreamhack Montreal, thus missing the chance for $50,000.
Hangover accusation with murder threat
The team of the eSports organization “Immortals” qualified for the CS:GO final of Dreamhack in Montreal. However, because three players arrived late, the team had to forfeit the first map and give the victory to the opposing team “North”.
They were now with a victory in the Best of 3 and ultimately won the second map (Cobblestone), which earned them the win and a prize of $50,000. Immortals received only $20,000.
The tournament schedule of Dreamhack took place a bit faster than usual. Allegedly, the organizers communicated this to the players of all participating teams in time.
Nevertheless, players Vito “kNg” Giuseppe, Henrique “HEN1” Teles, and Lucas “LUCAS1” Teles arrived late to the start of the final.
Heated discussions arose when a player from another tournament team (CLG) made a joke, saying that the players were hungover. However, player kNg did not take it as a joke. The following tweet was deleted by kNg shortly afterward.
Blame is shifted to Dreamhack
On Twitter, Vito “kNg” Giuseppe strongly fights against the party accusations. He says that his team even arrived on time but that the organizers gave them the wrong start time (Tweet overview on Reddit.com).
This statement, however, does not support his team.
In the end, it was probably jet lag
Player LUCAS1 wrote on his Facebook page that the team wanted to recover and was fighting against jet lag. As a result, they overslept the start time.
Immortals CEO Noah Whinston explains that the situation will be thoroughly reviewed.
The Eververse is the in-game shop in Destiny 2, where you can buy Bright Engrams for Silver and various items for Bright Dust. However, you do not need to spend money to obtain items from the Eververse.
In the early days of Destiny 2, Bungie faced significant criticism directly related to the Eververse. The reason: Shaders in Destiny 2 are consumables that can only be used once – after that, a new shader is needed. Since the quickest way to get shaders is through the Eververse, via the in-game shop, criticism poured in. Some players even called for a boycott of the Eververse and received strong support.
But what does the Eververse actually offer, and how can you get these items?
Bright Engrams – Silver or Playing
At Tess Everis, you can buy Bright Engrams for real money. However, this is not the only way to obtain these special engravings.
There are two sources:
Purchase of Silver in the Eververse: A Bright Engram costs 200 Silver. There are also bundles: 3 Engrams cost 500 Silver, and 5 Engrams cost 800 Silver. You must purchase Silver in the store with real money. You cannot earn Silver through gameplay. 500 Silver costs €4.99. There are several bundles – the most expensive contains 5800 Silver and costs €50.
Experience Points: By defeating enemies and completing activities, you collect experience points. Each time the XP bar fills after level 20, you receive a Bright Engram. In other words, you can also obtain Bright Engrams simply by playing.
Note: You must be character level 20 to purchase Silver. On your Guardian journey, Tess Everis also sometimes gives you a Bright Engram.
What’s inside Bright Engrams?
Most items that can be in a Bright Engram are cosmetic. Not a single one of these items is required to progress in the game or to gain access to an activity. So nobody “has to” buy or open Bright Engrams.
A Bright Engram contains several random items. You cannot determine which specific items are inside beforehand. However, if you hover over a Bright Engram and preview it, you can see which items might be included:
If you buy Bright Engrams from Tess, they are opened immediately, and the items are sent to the correct slots in your character’s inventory.
If you earn Engrams through experience points, they are in the Engram slots. They must be decrypted by Tess.
If your inventory is full, the items from the Engrams will be sent to the Postmaster. If the Postmaster is also full, you will lose items. It is therefore recommended to pay attention to having enough free slots before buying Bright Engrams. Lost items will not be replaced by Bungie.
Many items can be obtained multiple times; others can only be obtained once (like Emotes). You can then retrieve them from the collection in the Vault as often as you like. The other items that you can obtain multiple times will yield Bright Dust when dismantled.
What is Bright Dust and how do I get it?
Bright Dust is an in-game currency that you only receive when you
open Bright Engrams
or dismantle Eververse items (exceptions are mods, ornaments, and emotes).
Tess Everis not only offers Bright Engrams for Silver but also items for Bright Dust. This item offering that you can purchase for Bright Dust changes weekly at the Weekly Reset.
Here you will find emotes, sparrows, ships, ornaments, ghost shells, armor pieces, shaders, and fireteam medallions (which increase XP gains in a fireteam for 4 hours). The items cost between 40 and 800 Bright Dust.
Bright Dust cannot be purchased directly. It is also not possible to transfer it to other accounts. The currency is shared between all characters on one account.
By the way: There will occasionally be special offers in the Eververse, according to Bungie.
The Army of Light is clearing the planet Argus in World of Warcraft. But something disturbs the image of the holy troop …
Patch 7.3 of World of Warcraft has been active for nearly two weeks now, and players have had plenty of opportunities to complete around two-thirds of the story quests on Argus with the Army of Light.
And as cool as it is to stomp across the battlefield with the Army of Light and its warframes, to follow some cool new Draenei characters, and to plow through hordes of demons, it feels equally wrong.
During the priest campaign (paladin as well, as far as I know), you first encounter Lothraxion. He is a dreadlord who has been “cleansed” by the Light and now fights in the Army of Light. After the latest developments, one could certainly speculate whether the Light is just another form of corruption – but that is a topic for another article.
The point is that it has been hinted repeatedly that the Army of Light consists of the desperate survivors of thousands of worlds. The last champions who have hidden from the Burning Legion and together are building a stronghold against the Burning Crusade.
But the Army of Light apparently consists only of Draenei (“normal” and “lightforged”), a human (Turalyon), a high elf (Alleria), and a dreadlord (Lothraxion).
Perhaps it would have simply been too much work to develop entirely new species just to use them as cannon fodder in the Army of Light. But they could have simply utilized existing demons, painted them a bit glowing-golden, and used them as survivors of the peoples that were later assimilated by the Legion.
How cool would a golden succubus in elite armor be? Or a “highly holy” doomguard? Or even just a small squad of “cleansed” imps contributing to the army?
As it is presented in Patch 7.3, the Army of Light consists of Draenei. And they are on a “We are reclaiming our world” campaign. The impression does not come across that they are the elite and the last survivors of countless peoples – but rather just a revenge campaign.
What do you think of this matter? Do you like the Army of Light? Do you think it is good how they are portrayed?
