For the Solstice event in Pokémon GO, there are special boxes in the shop containing Super Incubators. Which box is the best value?
Currently, the Solstice event (actually Equinox) is active in Pokémon GO. During the event, there are special 2km eggs, double Stardust, and also special bundles available in the in-game shop. All Solstice bonuses can be found here.
The bundles are filled with Super Incubators, Lucky Eggs, and Lure Modules and are available at different prices. We will explain which box offers you the best value here.
Special, Super or Hyper Box?
The Super Incubators can be found since the start of the Solstice event in the new shop bundles. They hatch eggs at 1.5 times the speed and have three charges. Unfortunately, the devices cannot be purchased individually.
Last night, on September 22nd at around 10:00 PM, the Equinox event started in Pokémon GO. In the game’s shop, you now have three bundles to choose from:
The three boxes have different amounts and contents.
When purchasing a Special Box for 480 coins, you will receive
3 Super Incubators
5 Lure Modules
Here, a Super Incubator would cost 160 coins (480 / 3)
When purchasing a Super Box for 980 coins, you will receive
5 Super Incubators
10 Lure Modules
4 Lucky Eggs
Here, a Super Incubator would cost 196 coins (196 / 5)
When purchasing the Hyper Box for 1480 coins, you will receive
8 Super Incubators
15 Lure Modules
8 Lucky Eggs
Here, a Super Incubator would cost 185 coins (1480 / 8)
Help, Math! What does this mean?
Simply put, the calculations mean:
Special Box: If you only want Super Incubators and do not need Lucky Eggs, the Special Box is a good choice.
Super Box: The Super Box is not as “super” as it seems. While you do get many Lure Modules and a few Lucky Eggs, you will have to pay much more for the Incubators. If you want a nice all-inclusive package, you should consider the Hyper Box.
Hyper Box: The Hyper Box is the most expensive option, which you cannot obtain with a charge from the €10.99 coin pack. This means you have to buy a larger PokéCoins package (or two small ones). However, you will get a lot for it. The price per Incubator lies between the Special and Super Box.
Why is the Super Box not rated well? It looks like the ideal middle ground!
The reason the Super Box performs poorly is the price/performance ratio. Reddit user yaminokaabii explained this with the following examples:
6 Special Boxes for 2880 coins provide 18 Super Incubators, 0 Lucky Eggs, and 30 Lure Modules
3 Super Boxes for 2940 coins provide 15 Super Incubators, 12 Lucky Eggs, and 30 Lure Modules
2 Hyper Boxes for 2960 coins provide 16 Super Incubators, 16 Lucky Eggs, and 30 Lure Modules
One additional Super Incubator and four Lucky Eggs for just 20 extra coins show that the 2 Hyper Boxes are more worthwhile than 3 Super Boxes.
This is all too complicated with the calculations – give me clear words!
If you want the best price for Super Incubators and do not need any additional items, get the Special Boxes.
If you want a little of everything? Go for the Hyper Box.
Have you bought any bundles in the shop? Which box did you choose?
In some Squad Building Challenges, “loyal” players are a requirement, while in others, you need to rely on the loyalty bonus to achieve the required team chemistry. There are only two ways for players to become loyal:
You get them from packs. Then they are loyal immediately.
Or you complete 10 matches with players that you acquire on the transfer market.
Only after a purchased player has played 10 matches in your team will he become loyal and receive an extra point for chemistry.
However, it takes a few hours to complete 10 matches. A significant time investment for cards that you only want to exchange to claim the SBC rewards. Is there no faster way?
Loyalty Bonus in Minutes and Without Defeat in FUT 18
Yes, there is a way to quickly gain loyalty. This is described in the community as a “glitch” or celebrated as a “trick.” Whether you want to use this method is up to you to decide.
The basic idea is to start a match with the team consisting of the corresponding players – and to quit shortly after kickoff. You do this 10 times, and within a short time, you have completed 10 matches with the players and obtained the loyalty bonus. However, this comes with a significant disadvantage: the multiplier, which significantly affects the coin gain after matches, drops drastically. It takes several matches and many hours to raise this again. So, it’s really not worth it.
However, there is a method to avoid defeats and the drop in the multiplier:
You go to the “Team of the Week” in single-player mode.
You challenge it at any difficulty (for example, Semi-Pro) with the corresponding player team.
Now, wait for the kickoff and play for a few seconds.
Now, instead of quitting the game in-game, directly exit FIFA 18. For example, on the PS4, you press the PS button and close the application.
Now, repeat this until your players have the loyalty bonus after 10 matches. This trick takes a total of 20-30 minutes, but it will not register any defeats for you – and it is still significantly faster than playing all 10 matches in full length.
Note: Contracts will be consumed. You need to supply the players with contracts, as they only come with 7 by default.
There is currently no specific PTS launch date for PS4 and Xbox One. Massive is aiming for September 26, but this date will likely be postponed.
From now on, you can register for the console PTS if you want to participate in the testing phase to get a preview of future content. However, there are some things you should consider before registering.
Registration for the Console PTS for 1.8 – What You Need to Know
On PC, all interested players can access the PTS. On consoles, the number of testers is limited. Not everyone can participate; you need a key.
There are two ways to get a key for PTS 1.8 on PS4 and Xbox One:
If you have already been on the public test servers for 1.7, you automatically have access to the PTS for 1.8. You already possess the key and do not need to do anything until the PTS launch.
If you do not have a key yet, you must register for it now. However, registration is not a guarantee that you will receive a key.
Important Information Before Registration:
You must own The Division for the platform you are registering for.
You must have played The Division on PS4 or Xbox One in the last 30 days.
It does not work: “First come, first served” for getting a key. Instead, you have a higher chance of getting a key if you have spent a lot of gameplay time in The Division.
The invites will be sent out at a later date. You will not receive the key immediately.
The PTS are not available in Asian regions.
During registration, you mustprovide yourname, your Uplay ID, your email address, and your platform. The email you provide must be linked to your Uplay account. Additionally, you must have set in your Uplay account settings that Ubisoft is allowed to send you emails. Otherwise, you will not receive the key.
The registration runs until September 25 (Monday) at 9 AM.
Keep in mind that the PTS are test servers. You will encounter some bugs and glitches. It can also happen at any time that you suddenly lose items and progress.
Any progress you make on the PTS will not carry over to the live game. However, you do not need to create a new character for the PTS – character data will be transferred.
Currently, not all content of Update 1.8 is live on the PC PTS. The focus at the moment is on PvP mode Skirmish, the new Rogue system, and new items. The new Underground or Resistance mode are still offline.
The Hunter is the agile and nimble class in Destiny 2. Discover in our class guide in English how you can dominate with the Hunter’s subclasses / focuses in PvE and PvP.
You have reached level 20 with your Hunter, unlocked all focuses and subclasses and are now wondering which build you can use to cause a stir in PvE or PvP? We present the Hunter’s abilities and with which focuses and super attacks you can get the most out of the Hunter.
[toc]
The Hunter’s Class Ability – The Dodge
The special class ability of the Hunter is the Dodge. You can choose from two different variations:
Sniper Dodge – You evade enemy attacks and automatically reload your weapon
Reckless Dodge – You evade enemy attacks and recharge your melee ability
In Destiny 1, only the Nightstalker mastered the Dodge and could access it permanently. Now, all of the Hunter’s focuses can try to dodge but must accept a cooldown period (standard cooldown time about 30 seconds).
The variant of the Dodge that is more useful in many situations is the Sniper Dodge, as your weapon is immediately reloaded. This is especially useful for high damage output weapons with slow reload times. You can deal high damage again right away, which can be invaluable for weapons like Storm or the shotgun Legend of Acrius.
The Hunter’s Jump – The Kangaroo
Destiny veterans will feel right at home with the Hunter Jump. It is easy to master and well controllable. You may choose from the following jump modes:
High Jump – Activates the jump in the air to reach great heights
Steering Jump – Eases maneuverability in the air
Triple Jump – Adds a third jump to the double jump
For many, the Hunter jump is considered the best in the game. It is agile and precise and allows for quick direction changes. Especially in the Crucible, the Hunter Jump encourages vertical gameplay, which can lead to many surprise moments. Just try out all the jump variants and choose the one that suits you best!
The Hunter’s Focuses at a Glance
We will take a closer look at the following focuses of the Hunter in the class guide:
The Arcstrider – a new focus in Destiny 2. The Arcstrider is an agile class specializing in fast melee combat and quick dodging. With the super Arc Staff, you quickly cut through enemy lines. The element of the Arcstrider is, surprise, Arc.
The Gunslinger – This class symbolizes the space cowboy. The focus centers on precision shots as well as your super ability, the Golden Gun. The element of the Gunslinger is Solar.
The Nightstalker – If a focus plays like a ninja, it’s the Nightstalker. With his smoke, he can become invisible or damage enemies. He also has good opportunities to keep an eye on his enemies – even around corners. His super, Shadowshot, traps enemies and weakens them. The element of the Nightstalker is Void.
The skills of each subclass are not completely unlocked upon acquisition. You receive upgrade points with each level up to level 20. Even after level 20, you can still earn upgrade points; an appropriate bar fills up when you earn experience points. A shiny Engram is added to it. Also, certain missions grant you skill upgrade points.
The Arcstrider is an offensive class specialized in delivering fast and hard hits and then cleverly evading opponents. The Arcstrider has no support skills. With the super Arc Staff, you can quickly and elegantly move through enemy lines and eliminate them.
The Grenades of the Arcstrider
The Arcstrider has access to the following grenades:
Flux Grenade – This grenade deals increased damage when stuck to an enemy (Sticky)
Arcbolt Grenade – Chains lightning to nearby enemies, slowing them down
Skip Grenade – The skip grenade splits on impact and launches several seeking projectiles across the battlefield
The Flux Grenade is suitable for single targets, while the Arcbolt Grenade can hit multiple enemies if they are close together. The Arcbolt Grenade is excellent for both PvE and PvP content.
The Flux Grenade can be used to gain an advantage in competitive multiplayer, whether at the beginning of a fight or to finish off fleeing enemies.
The Way of the Warrior – The Little Brother of the Punch Bros
The Way of the Warrior is one of two possible skill trees you must choose between. It focuses heavily on melee and dodge abilities. The combo punch is useful when your health is in critical condition, and subsequent melee attacks deal increased damage. Dodging increases your melee and jump range. The Deadly Charge resembles the Titan’s Aftershock.
Combo Punch – Triggers health regeneration and temporarily increases melee damage by eliminating an enemy
Combat Flow – Melee kills automatically recharge your dodge ability
Deadly Reach – Dodging increases your melee range and jump distance
Deadly Charge – A combo of dodging and Arc Staff attack creates a damage-intensive lightning aftershock
If you like to get up close and personal with your enemies, this skill tree will make you happy. Unfortunately, melee attacks only deal damage to single enemies, but at least you can use the dodge ability more often.
The Way of the Wind – The “Dust Maker”
The melee of the Way of the Wind is useful for disorienting enemies, the faster sprint speed gets you out of desperate situations, and you take less damage while dodging. In addition, the Way of the Wind offers the following:
Disorienting Strike – Causes disorientation to your enemies with this attack
Focused Breathing – Your sprint speed is increased and dodging is recharged through sprints
Combat Meditation – When you are heavily wounded, the cooldown of melee and grenade abilities is reduced
Lightning Reflexes – You become harder to eliminate while dodging
Paired with the MIDA Multi-Tool, you will be very quick with this talent tree. If your health is in a critical condition, your melee and grenade abilities will recharge faster.
In general, the Hunter with the Arcstrider is designed to get close to enemies, kill them, and disappear quickly. However, if your enemies know what they are doing, you will have a hard time. The Arcstrider is not recommended for the PvP mode of Destiny 2.
The playstyle of the Gunslinger is heavily focused on its super and landing precision hits, which are particularly rewarded with this focus. The super of the Gunslinger is the Golden Gun, with which you can pulverize your enemies.
The Grenades of the Gunslinger
The Gunslinger also has three different grenades in tow, from which you can choose:
Incendiary Grenade – The hit enemy goes up in flames and takes damage
Swarm Grenade – Seeking projectiles are released after the explosive impact of the grenade
Light Sensor Mine – Light sensor mines stick to surfaces and explode as soon as an enemy triggers the sensor
A well-placed Light Sensor Mine is priceless, whether in PvE or PvP. The Incendiary Grenade unleashes its destructive potential if you manage to hit an enemy directly with it. The Swarm Grenade is well suited to place at spawn points of enemies – the seeking projectiles automatically target enemies!
The Way of the Outlaw – Six Shots for a Hallelujah
The Way of the Outlaw not only offers you bonuses but also for your allies with the Chains of Sorrow. Furthermore, you can fire six shots with the Golden Gun at the expense of range.
Chains of Sorrow – Precision shots increase reload speed for you and nearby allies
Explosive Knife – Throw an exploding knife that deals damage
Sixfold – Fire six rapid shots with the Golden Gun at the expense of range
Critical Hit – Increases your hit chance with the Golden Gun
The increased reload speed for precision shots is a great bonus and increases damage over time for all those near you. Additionally, you can fire six shots with the Golden Gun and the explosive knife is a nice addition.
The Way of the Sharpshooter – Who Can Aim Has the Advantage
If you know how to handle the Golden Gun, you will have fun with this build. Not only do precise kills with the throwing knife give you bonuses, but also precise kills with the Golden Gun provide significant advantages. You create orbs of light with precision kills and both increase damage and extend the duration of your super.
Knife Artist – Precision kills with the throwing knife recharge your melee abilities
Audience Favorite – Achieve precision hits with the Golden Gun to create orbs of light
Practice Makes Perfect – Precision hits reduce the cooldown of the Golden Gun
All Stacked Up – Precision hits with the Golden Gun increase damage and extend the duration of your super
Even though the build looks good, you do have the downside that it heavily relies on the super, which you won’t have very often. However, if you can activate your super, you can clear the field.
The Gunslinger is an offensively oriented class, unlike the Arcstrider, which specializes in range. The Chains of Sorrow is a big bonus for you and your team, and the sphere generation from the Way of the Sharpshooter is also noteworthy.
If you also use the exotic helm Celestial Nighthawk , you deal the highest single damage to a target in the entire game. You have just one shot left, but it deals massive damage, which is especially helpful against boss enemies.
The Nightstalker – The Ninja with Smoke Bombs
The Nightstalker is the stealth class of the Hunter and lives for the surprise effect. His super, the Shadowshot, binds enemies, makes them slow and more susceptible to damage. The Shadowshot is a great addition in both PvE and PvP of Destiny 2. Specifically, bound targets take 35% more damage!
The Grenades of the Nightstalker
The grenades are not killers by themselves. Their true potential is unleashed in combination with the Spike Grenade. Disoriented and slowed enemies fall quickly within the area of effect of a Spike Grenade or in the vortex of the eponymous grenade.
Spike Grenade – This surface-sticking grenade continuously damages with a flood of Void Light
Void Wall Grenade – A horizontal wall of Void Light damages all enemies passing through the grenade
Vortex Grenade – Enemies are trapped in a vortex and receive damage as long as they remain in it
Even a well-thrown Void Wall Grenade can deal devastating damage in tight corridors. All of the Nightstalker’s grenades are excellent for zone control, whether in PvE or PvP.
The Way of the Trapper – Fly Under the Enemy’s Radar
The Way of the Trapper has a lot of potential for sneaking up on opponents unnoticed. With the Smoke Bomb, you can slow and disorient your enemies. This skill set includes:
Smoke Bomb – The smoke bomb sticks to surfaces and slows and disorients enemies
Eager Scout – Increases sprint speed, and you can crouch faster. Bound enemies are marked and can be tracked for a while. Additionally, you gain an extended radar
Dead Fall – Void Anchors fired from the Shadowshot become traps and damage unsuspecting enemies. Furthermore, the Void Anchors have increased range and last longer
Vanishing Step – You become invisible for a brief period when dodging
The Way of the Trapper is a powerful build for the Crucible mode of Destiny 2. The eager scout is useful, even if the enemy marking is limited to bound foes. The Smoke Bomb is indeed a trap and when paired with a grenade can be deadly.
The longer duration of Shadowshot as well as the invisibility when dodging round off this skill set.
The Way of the Pathfinder – The Stealth Ninja
The Way of the Pathfinder allows you to become invisible by throwing the Smoke Bomb at your feet. The locking mechanism makes grenades and smoke last twice as long, facilitating zone control. With the Heart of the Pack, you can support your teammates, their stats increase when bound enemies are eliminated.
Disappear into the Smoke – Throw the smoke bomb at your feet to make yourself and nearby allies invisible
Lockdown – The effects of grenades and smoke last twice as long, enabling strong zone control
Heart of the Pack – Eliminating bound enemies creates orbs of light and increases mobility, resilience, and recovery for you and nearby allies
Mobius Quiver – Fire rapid shots with the Shadowshot and inflict significant damage on bound enemies
The Way of the Pathfinder is extremely useful for fighting computer-controlled enemies. The doubled grenade duration can be placed at an enemy spawn point and manage almost by itself; the Heart of the Pack is a nice support ability for your team.
The Nightstalker is the best focus of the Hunter in many situations. The Way of the Trapper is the perfect build for the Crucible, and the Way of the Pathfinder will smoothly guide you through the PvE content.
Summary: If you want to go offensive and face your enemies face to face, the Way of the Warrior of the Arcstrider is a good choice. For heavy content in endgame and in team play, the Nightstalker and the Way of the Pathfinder are recommended.
If you have the Celestial Nighthawk, you can deal fantastic damage with the Gunslinger. This combination is particularly popular against bosses.
In the Crucible, the Way of the Trapper of the Nightstalker is the best choice, as the eager scout justifies this alone. Paired with a combination of smoke bomb and grenade (the so-called Wombo Combo), you have a deadly tool in your hands.
When executing the Wombo Combo, make sure to throw the smoke grenade first and then immediately throw the grenade. The other way around does not work, as you have to wait about 1-2 seconds after throwing a grenade before you can throw the smoke bomb. Also, be aware that enemies hit by the Shadowshot only truly become bound after about a second.
On the weekend you can MU Legend, the MMO with “Hack and Slash” battles, play and try it out for eight hours.
The developers of MU Legend invite you to participate in a stress test over the weekend. During this, they will collect important data and analyze their servers while you play. A great opportunity to get a sneak peek at the “Diablo MMO” before the open beta in November.
MU Legend, Action RPG test is upcoming
In November, the open beta of MU Legend will start. But even before that, you have the chance to check out the game while helping the development team. This will happen via a stress test on Saturday, September 23rd.
The team invites all available users to strain the game server infrastructure (North and South America).
The stress test of MU Legend begins on September 23, 2017, at 18:00 German time. From then on, you can play for eight hours until the stress test ends at 02:00.
Then create a Webzen account or log into an existing one
Next, download the client from the website and install the game
After that, you just have to wait for the start of the stress test. All progress made during the test will be deleted afterwards.
On the German Facebook page of MU Legend, the team has summarized the most important information about the stress test again. Here is an excerpt of that. Here you can find the post on the Facebook page of MU Legend.
Keep in mind: Don’t worry about latency, as this is a stress test. You will not have the same ping when the game releases in November.
What is our goal?
Our goal is to load the server in a specific zone and test the capacity and limits of the server. To achieve this, you can play the game for 8 hours from 18:00 to 02:00. We have restricted access to the maps of Enova and “The Rift”. Last but not least, there will only be one available language at this time, English.
What do I get for participating in the stress test?
In addition to the fact that the client for the stress test is a real early download of the OBT client, you will help our developer teams to launch the game in the various regions with as few issues as possible. We offer every player who logs into our servers 500 bound Redzen! These bound Redzen will be available for the OBT!
Guild Wars 2 spills the beans and reveals some exciting numbers – including which class combination no one likes.
Guild Wars 2 has launched its second major expansion, Path of Fire. To celebrate the launch of the new addon, ArenaNet shares some information with the public. For this purpose, there is an extensive infographic filled with big numbers to highlight the successes of Guild Wars 2.
The most popular combination of race and class is the Human Warrior. This seems logical, as what could be more associated with Guild Wars than human warriors going head-to-head?
The counterpart has also been mentioned. While ArenaNet calls it the “most unusual” character combo, it could also simply be called least popular. That is the Charr Revenant, a class that was introduced only with the last expansion.
Other numbers are interesting too. Over its nearly 5 years, Guild Wars has attracted more than 11 million players, who have created a total of over 53,000,000 characters – an average of almost 5 characters per player.
Particularly proud seems to be the last point. So far, 61 free updates have been released, which have expanded the game by more than 2 million words – counting texts and voiceovers together. That would correspond to the length of 400 plays.
But enough of the preliminaries. Here is the complete infographic. Enjoy scrolling!
A lot of fuss about nothing? Or interesting numbers? What do you think of this infographic?
We reported yesterday that the Korean studio Bluehole is upset because Epic Games is using the battle royale mode in their game Fortnite. They even announced that they are considering measures.
The battle royale mode has become popular thanks to Bluehole’s successful game PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG).
Interestingly, PUBG uses the Unreal Engine, which comes from Epic Games. Additionally, the battle royale mode in Fortnite is free to play and can be played on PS4 and Xbox One. PUBG is not available on those platforms yet.
Bluehole does not want the “Battle Royale” mode all to themselves, it’s about Epic
In Bluehole’s statement yesterday, it sounded to many like “PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds” wanted to claim the battle royale genre for themselves. This angered many players. They found it arrogant to claim an entire genre.
However, Bluehole does not want that, as representatives of the company clarified in an interview with PC Gamer. It is not about claiming the battle royale mode for themselves, but about how things happened with Epic Games and Fortnite.
Bluehole is specifically upset with Fortnite and Epic Games for various reasons:
for PUBG, Bluehole uses Epic Games’ Unreal Engine and pays them “a lot of royalties.” Therefore, it is important to maintain a trustworthy relationship
this trust now seems endangered because Epic Games acted without consultation
they are particularly angry because Epic Games directly promoted “PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds” and it appeared to some that it was an official collaboration: “Hey, I can play PUBG in Fortnite.” This impression of an official collaboration, despite no agreement being made, has particularly upset Bluehole.
also, other games with battle royale modes like H1Z1 have licensed the mode from Brendan Greene, the PlayerUnknown – even PUBG itself acquired a license – Epic Games did not do that
in collaborating with Epic Games on the engine, technical ideas are exchanged and they work together. Bluehole fears that Epic Games could now use PUBG’s know-how to enhance the engine and their own mode
So it seems mainly about the fact that the companies behind Fortnite and PUBG already had an existing and significant business relationship. Bluehole now feels overlooked and disrespected.
In Destiny 2, Xur has the Foetracer, an exotic hunter helm. But what can this do and how do I get Foetracer?
The Foetracer is a new exotic helm for hunters in Destiny 2. You can obtain it randomly from all sources that can drop exotic engrams. Additionally, there is a chance to purchase this now from Xur, the merchant of exotic goods.
The perks of Foetracer
The exotic perk is called “Unyielding Tracker”. The description of the perk states: “Visually marks targeted enemies. Deals more damage to enemies with low health.”
What does that mean? Let’s look at the first part of the perk – visually marks targeted enemies. Veteran hunters will perk up immediately here. Because this perk was originally available to the hunter in Destiny 1, the Diligent Scout.
Nightsingers in Destiny 2 also have an ability that marks enemies. However, with the significant limitation that the marking only applies to enemies bound by Shadowshot.
With Foetracer, all targets are marked that you aimed at with a weapon.
The second part of the perk states that you deal more damage to low-health enemies. Specifically, this means that as soon as the opponent has about 30% of their health left, you deal significantly more damage, and no matter where you aim, you will score critical hits.
Additionally, the damage buff applies to all your sources of damage – whether they are weapons, super attacks, or melee attacks.
In which content is the exotic helm Foetracer useful?
The helm shows its strengths both in the Crucible and in PvE content. The enemy marking can decide victory or defeat in the Crucible and justifies wearing the helm solely with this perk.
Your enemy is wounded and hiding? That won’t help them, you can see them and throw a placed grenade. Even opponents about to run around corners can be quickly targeted. If you also equip the MIDA Multi-Tool, you have created one of the supposedly best exotic combinations in the Crucible. The increased damage also plays a role, albeit a smaller one compared to PvE content.
In the PvE area, the helm is particularly beneficial against tanky bosses. If you use the helm in conjunction with the Merciless, you become a true DPS monster at a certain health level of the enemy.
Hunters who have not purchased the helm yet should grab it from Xur. The investment is also quite cheap at 23 legendary shards!

Despite harsh criticism, Blizzard defends the idea of the Netherlight Crucible in WoW. We reveal why.
The Netherlight Crucible in World of Warcraft is a double-edged sword. While one group of players praises the new feature and enjoys unlocking new bonuses with the increasing level of the artifact weapon, there is much criticism from a second group.
With the Netherlight Crucible, players can further improve relics in their artifact weapons by unlocking a small talent tree. However, this is only possible at the mentioned Crucible and not “in the open world”.
Many players still find it incomprehensible that “recrafting” was removed as a feature, but the Netherlight Crucible essentially functions in a similar way. This is because you have to leave current content (like a raid) to properly shape the new relic and then return to the raid.
Blizzard likes the Netherlight Crucible
The Community Manager Ornyx has once again reached out to the players and represented the opinions of the developers. They discussed the feature and the feedback and are fundamentally satisfied because:
Recrafting was simple and annoying. You simply took the best stat and never really had a choice. With the Netherlight Crucible, the decisions are more significant.
Talents in the relics should not be redistributed. Otherwise, players would pilgrimage to the Crucible depending on the boss fight and choose either AoE or single-target abilities.
Relics are occasionally replaced. Therefore, a “wrong choice” is tolerable and only lasts for a while. With the new raid Antorus, the Burning Throne, this shouldn’t matter as much.
Blizzard is also pleased that when looking at the relic properties, it is soulbound at that point. This is meant to prevent relics from being passed around endlessly in raids.
Even after Blizzard’s explanation, opinions in the community are still mixed.
What do you think of the whole Netherlight Crucible topic? Was it a misstep? Or is it a nice feature to provide a bit more choice?
Uther and Illidan were once just fixed ideas of a Pen&Paper group. Some heroes from World of Warcraft have a peculiar story.
When it comes to developing new characters in video games, artists often draw their creative ideas from unexpected sources – such as a Pen&Paper.
Blizzard’s Senior Art Director, Samwise Didier, recently held an “Ask Me Anything” (AMA) on Reddit and answered fans’ questions. This led to some amusing anecdotes coming to light.
Who would have thought that both Uther Lightbringer and Illidan Stormrage were once characters from a Pen&Paper adventure?
Didier, along with his friends (who later founded Blizzard), had always enjoyed playing Dungeons & Dragons as Pen&Paper – and still does to this day. In 1995, he created a lawful paladin who was blind and equipped with two books: Honor and Righteousness. What a blind paladin did with these books, unfortunately, was not revealed.
It’s also amusing that ultimately Illidan and Uther swapped a few character traits – because in the end, it was Illidan who became blind, not Uther.
Didier was also the creator of the Pandaren in the Warcraft universe – one of the most controversially discussed species in Warcraft to this day. Not everyone liked this race, but Didier doesn’t have any major problems with it.
“That was okay for me. I understand how important WoW is to some people. One person’s WoW is different from another’s. Some people love the original Warcraft and don’t want anything to change. Others love an evolving world. However, I’m glad we were able to implement them [the Pandaren] into the world.”

The Western MMO Wild West Online starts today, on September 22, in the second technical alpha. In this, besides server stability, new missions, HUDs, and better maps are to be tested.
Last week, you could play the controversial Western MMO Wild West Online in the first technical alpha. There was a lot of criticism of the game and some demanded their money back, according to Reddit.
You might think: The developers need time to process all this. But that is not the case.
Despite all the criticism, this weekend you can again rob other players in the Wild West, ride around the area, or shoot down bandits.
New Alpha with More Content and Improvements
The second alpha will still show an unfinished game. But compared to the first alpha, the developers have improved a few things. Among other things, the following has been changed:
There are now missions that mainly act as tutorials
There is a new HUD graphic
Maps have been revised and now show discovery quests
Over 50 bugs that caused the game to crash have been fixed

In the MMO shooter Destiny 2, the Trials of the Nine start today, on 22nd September. Which map will be played, what is the mode?
Update 19:05: The Trials are not yet displayed in the game.
Update 19:10: More and more users are reporting that the Trials are now working. Have fun!
Due to a glitch that was exploited, Bungie is changing the Trials on 22nd September.
Update 21:00: Bungie has now changed the Trials due to the issues to “Countdown on Eternity.” This is the same mode as last week. The change was apparently necessary because players cheated. They were able to glitch outside the intended combat area on the map “Altar of the Flame”.

In Destiny 1, it was exciting for PvP enthusiasts week by week to see which map the Trials would take place on. In Destiny 2, not only is there the question of the map, but also of the mode. There is no longer a “fixed Trials mode” (which used to be elimination); instead, the competitive PvP modes Countdown and Survival alternate.
The first Trials of the Nine ran a bit chaotically last week. At the start, nobody really knew if you had to buy a ticket for the Trials, what the access requirements were, and where to actually start them. Now we know:
You must have completed the story campaign,
mastered the “Call to Arms” milestone at least once
and be over Power Level 260,
to have the Trials displayed in the Crucible overview. You do not need to buy a ticket. You have it automatically.
This week, the map “Altar of the Flame” is being played. Update: Due to a bug, the map has been changed. Players could leave the map. The new map is Eternity. The mode is Survival.Countdown.
What are the Trials of the Nine with the Survival mode?
This time, you will fight in the Trials in the mode “Survival”. This is a round-based PvP mode.
You compete in four-player teams against each other, with all four players per team sharing a certain number of lives. If a Guardian on your team is defeated, it costs you one life. If you defeat an opposing Guardian, it costs the opponent one life. The defeated Guardian respawns automatically after a few seconds. Reviving by teammates is not possible.
If all lives are exhausted, you can no longer respawn. If the team that has no lives left is completely defeated, a round is over. Win multiple rounds to decide the match.
After each match, you will receive “Trials of the Nine” tokens that you can exchange for Trials engrams with the vendor. In addition, you will receive additional rewards after 3, 5, and 7 victories. If you achieve a flawless run (7 wins without a loss), you can pick up an extra reward. If you have 3 losses on your ticket, you have to start over.
In the Trials of the Nine, there is no matchmaking. You have to assemble your team of 4 players yourself. Also, it is a “locked-loadout playlist.” This means you cannot change your weapons and armor parts until you leave the playlist.
Are you annoyed by the current issues with the Pokémon GO-Plus gadget? Don’t worry, Niantic is already working on a solution for the slow operation.
Many users of iOS 11 devices are complaining that there are currently issues with the Pokémon GO Plus gadget. The GO Plus is supposed to assist trainers while playing by making captures and spinning PokéStops easier. However, due to the new iOS update 11, annoying delays have occurred.
The developers at Niantic are aware of this problem and are already working on a solution.
Pokémon GO Plus: Vibrating takes too long
For a few days now, trainers have been complaining that it now takes significantly longer to catch a Pokémon or collect items from a Stop with the Pokémon GO Plus.
The reason for this is that the “alarm” of the Pokémon GO Plus can only be canceled after it has vibrated/blinked three times. Before the iOS 11 update, this could be done without a minimum number of vibrations.
The following video clearly illustrates the problem:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Kw4qrea2Vs
Now there is good news. Niantic has read the feedback from fans (which has actually been present since the beta of iOS 11) and is aware of the issues. On the official website, the team explains that they are working on a solution.
We are aware of the issue regarding the Pokémon GO Plus for Apple devices with iOS 11. The problem is that the Pokémon GO Plus accessory does not register a button press until the LED indicator blinks three times. We are working on a solution to this problem.
GO Plus problems also on Android
Since the Apple issues, some Android users have also reported on social media saying “We are having issues too!”. Why Niantic only addresses the problems with iOS users and does not address the issues with Android is unclear.
Since there is a new PvP mode in the coop shooter Fortnite that resembles PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, the developers of PUBG are upset. They claim that the battle royale mode in Fortnite is too similar to PUBG. Therefore, they are considering taking further action.
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is currently the king of the battle royale genre. On Steam, the game from the Korean studio Bluehole has immense success and peak numbers of concurrent players. The competition in the form of H1Z1: King of the Kill has long been left behind.
Nevertheless, it seems that Bluehole is worried about a newcomer: the upcoming PvP mode for the coop shooter Fortnite. It is supposed to launch for free next week on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. The port for consoles is still pending for PUBG.
Developer of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds sees too many similarities in Fortnite
Fortnite is actually a coop shooter where four players build fortifications together to fend off waves of zombies. It was purely a game for PvE fans. Players did not compete against each other. But then, the developers at Epic Games created an additional PvP mode called Battle Royale.
In it, you jump – like in PUBG – from a lonely island, gather weapons, and take each other out. However, according to Bluehole Vice President Chang Han Kim, this is not okay. Fortnite is mimicking the PUBG experience.
They even advertise for Fortnite that the PvP mode is like PUBG. Epic Games stated in the announcement for the PvP mode that they are big fans of battle royale games like PUBG and H1Z1, which is why they developed the new mode.
Relationship between Bluehole and Epic Games strained
Also critical: Epic Games develops the Unreal Engine 4 alongside games. This is also used in PUBG, and they have a contract with Epic because of this.
They are therefore business partners, and such an action is even more inappropriate. Thus, Bluehole is considering taking further steps.
Battle Royale, the free PvP mode of Fortnite, will be released on September 26. This will be available on PC as well as on the Playstation 4 and Xbox One. PUBG, on the other hand, is expected to come to Xbox One later. A PS4 launch remains unclear.
Players do not share Bluehole’s outrage
While Bluehole is upset about Fortnite, players mostly see it more relaxed. After all, PUBG is the undisputed king in the battle royale genre. And the Koreans did not invent this type of game anyway.
Even PUBG creator and former Arma modder Brendan “PlayerUnknown” Greene once said in an interview that he firmly expected other developers to try their hand at the genre and hopefully do their own thing. He himself would not care much and would rather finish his own game.

And despite all the similarities, Fortnite’s battle royale mode has enough unique features, such as colorful comic graphics, a completely different gunplay, traps, destructible environments, and fortifications.
For Guild Wars 2 on September 22, 2017, the release of the second major expansion Path of Fire. But how do you get to the new areas of Elona and the Crystal Desert? And where can you find the first mount? Find out here information about the first mount and the game entry at release.
Guild Wars 2 will receive on September 22 at the release time of Path of Fire the second major expansion. Here you will enter new areas of Tyria, including the Crystal Desert and northern Elona with Vabbi and the Domain of Palawa Joko.
But how do you get there? The areas were not part of the world of Guild Wars 2 before. And where and how can you get the first mount?
Path of Fire – How to get to the Crystal Desert and start the expansion
The Crystal Desert is a distant and inhospitable place. After all, peoples have perished there while searching for the “Ascension.” However, in Path of Fire, the journey into the desert is not particularly difficult.
You just need to start the new story chapter of your personal story and follow the instructions. Proceed as follows:
Open the hero window with the “H” key or through the menu
Select “My Story” and then “Path of Fire” from the displayed selection
Once you have started the Path of Fire story this way, you will receive a letter in the game, which you will find in the mail menu.
Open the letter and you will receive an invitation to Lion’s Arch.
From Lion’s Arch, it will then automatically lead you to the Crystal Oasis in the Desert.
Congratulations! You have taken the first step and can now enjoy the expansion Path of Fire!
How do I get my first mount?
The major highlights of Path of Fire are undoubtedly the new mounts. You can find four of them in the expansion. But how do you get the first mount? Easier than you think. To obtain your first mount, you simply need to complete the first section of Path of Fire in the starting area of the Crystal Oasis.
For this, you will receive a magnificent Raptor as your first mount. With this dino, you can race through the desert at high speed and perform extremely long horizontal jumps. Additionally, there are other things you can do with the riding dino (and the other mounts):
You can participate in mount races at the Oasis Amnoon.
Thanks to the special movement skills of the various mounts, you can reach previously inaccessible areas and thus achieve unique accolades and treasures.
Continue to complete quests and story missions to earn mastery points for your mounts. They will then level up and learn new abilities. Mounts work similarly to the masteries in Heart of Thorns or Season 3 of the Living Story.

Final Fantasy XIV Stormblood is getting bigger in October. With the big update 4.1, there will be a continuation of the main story as well as a new raid that takes you back into the world of Final Fantasy XII.
The epic story of Final Fantasy XIV is not over yet after the end of the last story quest from the Stormblood expansion. Rather, the epic story continues with update 4.1 “The Legend Returns”. Also, you can look forward to mysterious characters, a new dungeon, and a raid that takes you into the world of Ivalice from Final Fantasy XII.
Main Story – The Journey Continues in Ala Mhigo
Anyone who wants to know what happens to the city after the liberation of Ala Mhigo should not miss update 4.1. The liberated city is at the center of the new main quests and revolves around the difficult decisions that Lyse, Fordola, and Raubhan must make.
If you prefer exploring exciting instances, you can look forward to the new dungeon “The Drowned City of Skalla.” This city was once destroyed in war and ultimately swallowed by raging waters.
In Shirogane, the new housing area of Kugane, you can relax in a new house after all the challenges.
New Raid Leads to Ivalice from Final Fantasy XII!
Another highlight of the update is the new raid “Return to Ivalice.” The raid involves a visit from an airship full of mysterious characters that appear over Kugane and want to perform a play.
The raid itself takes you to the foreign world of Ivalice, the setting for various games from the Final Fantasy series. Games such as Final Fantasy XII, Final Fantasy Tactics, and Vagrant Story are set in Ivalice, a world inspired by European medieval times.
Patch 4.1 for Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood will be released in October 2017.
What have Turalyon and Alleria been doing all these years? Almost 2 hours of WoW audio drama provide an answer. Here you can listen to the official Blizzard game in German.
Patch 7.3 of World of Warcraft revolves entirely around Argus, the Burning Legion, and the Army of the Light. The main characters are Illidan, Turalyon, and Alleria. However, the latter two had been missing for a long time, and nothing has been heard from them since the strategy game Warcraft II.
The fact that they now appear in the game “suddenly” and lead the battle against the Legion surprises some players, and they wonder: What have the two actually done in the meantime? How did they come to the Army of the Light, and what really happened after the closure of the Dark Portal?
Blizzard is now providing an answer – and it’s quite elaborate.
In the three-part audio drama Thousand Years of War, Blizzard lets us participate in what Turalyon and Alleria experienced over the years. It not only explains how they came to the Army of the Light but also how the opposing forces of the cosmos act in World of Warcraft. Anyone with 2 hours to spare – since that’s how long the audio dramas are – should definitely check this out as a lore fan.

Even “original language enthusiasts” should give the audio drama in German a chance, as David Nathan is once again featured as the narrator (the voice of Johnny Depp, Christian Bale).
So if you need a little something to listen to besides daily farming or world quest marathons, you should definitely check out the story – it’s worth it.
Cortyn says: As long as Blizzard continues to hire David Nathan as the narrator for the audio dramas, they could easily tell the dramatic story of Hogger from Elwynn Forest. I am definitely excited that Blizzard is releasing this story just “between the patches” and not as a prelude to a new expansion. This clearly shows (to me) how much they love their own story and the Warcraft universe. More of this, please!

In Destiny 2, the Wardcliff Coil, an exotic rocket launcher, is available from Xur. What can this weapon do, what are the perks, and is it worth buying? Is it the Gjallarhorn 2.0?
Xur has appeared for the second time in Destiny 2 and countless Guardians awaited this arrival with great curiosity. The reason: In Destiny 1, Xur brought the Gjallarhorn in his second week – the best weapon in year 1 of Destiny that everyone coveted and which became the cult weapon par excellence.
For the Gjallarhorn was an exotic rocket launcher that was the solution to all problems. Who needed tactics when you could take down any enemy within seconds with the big G-Horn in hand?
But in year 1, countless Guardians made the “mistake” of not buying the Gjallarhorn. In the early days, no one knew what to do with an exotic rocket launcher. No one wanted to sacrifice the Exotic slot for it. Many were still unsure about Xur.
The result: Throughout the rest of year 1, these Guardians were immensely frustrated because Xur was stingy with the rocket launcher. He only brought it back in August 2015 – that day was named Gjallarhorn Day.
As fate – or Xur – would have it, the Agent of the Nine has once again brought an exotic rocket launcher in the second week of Destiny 2: the Wardcliff Coil. Does this Exotic have what it takes to be the “next Gjallarhorn”?
How to Get the Wardcliff Coil – Finding this Exotic
Finally, one must say, the Wardcliff Coil is in the game. As early as 2015, the symbol of this rocket launcher was discovered in the databases. Players wondered when and how they would get their hands on this weapon and if it was hidden somewhere in Destiny. But no, the weapon could not be found.
With “Rise of Iron” in Fall 2016, suddenly the perks of this weapon appeared in the databases. Now it was certain that the rocket launcher would soon be available. However, nothing came of it again.
For “the microphone” or the “Dubious Volley,” as the Wardcliff Coil was referred to in the community, only came into the Destiny universe with Destiny 2. Now it is available.
The Wardcliff Coil, which Guardians have coveted for over 2 years, can be randomly obtained from all sources that can drop exotic engrams. Also, Xur can sometimes have it in stock, like this weekend. In other words, you either need luck or must act quickly when Xur has it.
How Good Is the Wardcliff Coil in PvE and PvP? – Characteristics and Perks
The Wardcliff Coil is an exotic rocket launcher that deals arc damage. The rate of fire is 60, and the magazine holds a single charge. The standout stats are the high velocity of the projectiles and the good handling of the weapon.
These are the special perks:
Crazy Scientist: The weapon fires a volley of rockets. When you press the trigger once, several mini-rockets are fired at once.
Mechanized Self-Loader: The weapon automatically reloads when picking up ammo. Just run over the power ammo and start shooting.
The weapon clearly has its strengths in PvE. Especially when you are dealing with many enemies, such as during public events or in raids. The mini-rockets seek their targets and have a relatively high damage output, allowing you to eliminate hordes of adds in no time.
But the Wardcliff Coil is also useful against heavy bosses in PvE. It deals significant damage.
In short: A powerful weapon for bosses and for crowd control. Public events can easily be mastered solo, as some higher-tier enemies continuously supply power ammo. It is also useful in raids.
However, the Wardcliff Coil also has disadvantages:
Its range is quite limited. If you are not at close range to the enemy, the mini-rockets will fly wildly around.
In PvP, you have only one shot per ammo drop. With that one shot, you might take out one or two enemies, but whether it is worth sacrificing the exotic slot for that is something everyone has to decide for themselves.
Conclusion: The Wardcliff Coil is a weapon that feels truly exotic. It may not always be the best choice in every situation, but it offers an exciting gameplay experience that you should definitely try out. If you have 29 Legendary Shards left, they are well invested with Xur.
The Wardcliff Coil is arguably the weapon closest to a Gjallarhorn in Destiny 2: It is an exotic rocket launcher with cool properties and an extravagant look. It probably won’t reach the cult status of the Gjallarhorn. But who knows how we will think about it in a few months. It’s best to get the Wardcliff Coil now, or you might regret it one day…
By the way: According to the in-game description, the Wardcliff Coil is a randomly generated prototype of terrible power.
