Epic invests money in eSports for Fortnite: Battle Royale. $100 million is being set aside for competitive eSports tournaments – just in the first year. They want to set this up as broadly as possible.
Nothing known yet, except the money: For the 2018-2019 season, developer Epic will invest $100 million in the first season of Fortnite: Battle Royale. That’s about €84,960,000. There is hardly any further information on what Epic is exactly planning, just that they are initially putting out this huge sum.
What else can be said? Well, they reveal a little more. Epic says: “They want to be inclusive,” meaning they want to involve as many people as possible. This likely means: Fortnite should not be a traditional, competitive, and exclusive eSport just for the best, but rather more of a mass sport. They want to focus on two things:
the fun of playing Fortnite
and the joy of watching others play Fortnite
Party Royale at E3: We could expect a first taste of what Epic has in store for Fortnite eSports at E3 2018. There, Epic is planning the event “Party Royale.” Here, 50 celebrities, athletes, and entertainers will compete against 50 top Fortnite players.
Party or Solo? Currently, there are two different directions in which the battle royale could shift:
A whole bunch of eSports organizations, like TSM, have already assembled and recruited their teams for Fortnite. They assume that Fortnite eSports will take place in “squads,” with 4-man teams as is common in eSports. One team even signed a 14-year-old.
Twitch streamers like Tyler “Ninja” Blevins seem to prefer a solo solution. Then individual players would compete. Ninja has already pulled off a successful event in Las Vegas. He believes that Fortnite is more suitable as “solo eSports” because it is more readable and exciting that way.
The “inclusive” approach from Epic and the “different approach” they promise appear to lean more towards the side of solo artists.
Likely to be seen at E3: Ninja
Peanuts: This announcement was preceded by the mode “Solo Showdown.” The main prize was $500 in V-Bucks. Compared to the $100,000,000, this now seems like peanuts. However, this mode already showed some weaknesses in the concept of “Solo Fortnite eSports.”
A short teaser trailer for the new shooter Battlefield V seems to confirm what many suspected: The new shooter is set in World War II. A small piece of information in the HUD appears to provide the crucial hint.
EA has released a teaser trailer that gives players a first brief look at Battlefield V. The teaser trailer was spread through EA’s channels.
What can be seen and heard in the trailer? The trailer features sounds of combat and a stifled scream. Then we see a man with raised glasses, who calls for silence by holding a finger to his mouth and saying “Psst”. These are the first images we see from Battlefield V. Apparently, a Conquest battle is taking place. Various symbols for capture points can also be recognized.
Why do people think Battlefield V could be set in World War II? At the top of the image, in the HUD, two flags can be seen. These can be identified as symbols of Great Britain (Union Jack) and Germany (Balkenkreuz). Therefore, it is assumed that Battlefield V will take place in World War II, as Germany only used the Balkenkreuz during this time period. Additionally, leaks and rumors had already suggested that Battlefield V will be set in World War II – hence, people had already been looking for clues and found them now.
What else have sharp-eyed fans spotted?
The contradiction here is that it is a multiplayer battle, but a cinematic sequence is being played. Therefore, it is believed that this could be a “Takedown” animation.
Furthermore, when the trailer aired on EA’s Twitter channel, the branding of “Xbox One” was included. So it is believed that the Xbox One will have the marketing rights to Battlefield V this time.
And it seems that Battlefield V has a minimized weapon HUD in the bottom right.
That’s quite a lot to figure out from just a few seconds.
To hype players for the release of the new chapter Summerset, Zenimax is releasing the official cinematic trailer for the new expansion. Our favorite cuddly cat Razum-Dar is back!
A shadow lurks in Summerset
The new cinematic focuses on the new area Summerset and the brave High Elf we already know from the launch trailers of The Elder Scrolls Online 2014. She has a vision of the danger that threatens Summerset.
Who is the character in the Summerset trailer? On the island lurk dreadful monsters that hide and wait for an opportunity to strike. The mastermind behind it all seems to be a figure with horns who carries a faithful dog. This figure is very likely the Daedric Prince Clavicus. He is the Prince of Trade, Deceit, and Wishes.
The center of conflict in her vision is the Crystal Tower in the north of the island Summerset. There is likely to be a great battle taking place, determining the fate of the island.
Similar to the White-Gold Tower in the heart of the Imperial City in Cyrodiil, this tower also seems to play an important role in the story of The Elder Scrolls Online.
At the start of the Star Gate raid tract, not even 1% of the participating players managed to complete the new passage of Destiny 2. Just over a week later, the situation is already quite different. Now one record follows another. We have compiled some remarkable performances for you.
Numerous Guardians still have trouble successfully mastering the Star Gate. The Redeem clan set the world’s first exclamation mark in the 2nd raid lair just 6 hours and 38 minutes after the Star Gate’s launch and claimed the World First raid clear.
Since then, top players have been continuously seeking new challenges. And some of them are quite something!
Defeated Val Ca’uor without weapons: The Cabal leader and chief villain of the new raid passage has already been defeated once again by some members of the Redeem clan and YouTuber Gigz – this time however completely without the use of weapons! With a “Hammer” performance of 6 Sunbreaker Titans (power level over 380), the team dealt with the tract boss without a single shot.
You can see this fight here in the embedded video:

7 seconds for the boss: Several teams of high-level players have already succeeded in bringing down the raid tract boss Val Ca’uor just about 7 seconds after the start of the damage phase. A generally recommended combination of the following weapons and classes seems to be emerging:
1 Sunbreaker Titan with Hammer Strike
5 Voidwalkers
Raid Gauntlets
Tractor Cannon (makes enemies more vulnerable to Void damage)
IKELOS Shotgun from the Escalation Protocol (Fully automatic, bonus damage after melee hits)
You can see how the raid team around Gigz makes quick work of the end boss during the damage phase:

Just under 16 minutes for the entire Star Gate: Some previous record holders also managed a spectacular speed run through the new raid tract in a different composition. The Guardians completed the entire new raid passage in just 16 minutes and 28 seconds!
The team (power level 380 and above) began the run with a combination of 6 Nightstalker Hunters with the St4mp-F3R leg armor for increased sprint speed and jump height. For the boss fight, 5 players then switched to the Gunslinger focus and the helmet Celestial Nightframe. This is how they fought their way through the new raid passage in record time.
You can watch their entire run in the video here:

Lost Ark now has a start date for its final Closed Beta. Starting from May 23, players will be able to test the new features of the isometric action MMORPG for 12 days. The beta will end on June 3. But when will the game be playable in English or even German?
It has been almost a year now since Lost Ark last invited players to a Closed Beta. The 2nd Closed Beta then started in late summer 2017.
In April 2018, the Korean developer Smilegate, however, made a statement again and announced the start of the third and final beta test. The beta test will start on May 23 and last until June 3.
This means for us: There will be more information about Lost Ark again. And the brave ones will surely find ways to sneak into the Closed Beta of Lost Ark, even though it is not actually intended for Europeans.
Is the wait worth it? The beta brings many new features
What’s new in the beta? Primarily, players will be able to test two new classes, for which there is now also video material.
Hawkeye is a stealth ranged fighter armed with a bow and has many crowd control abilities.

A card-based mini-game. The cards for this can be found as loot or received as rewards for quests
Reworked favor system where players can build reputation with NPCs and form relationships with them
What is the Favor System? The developers have invested a lot of effort, especially into the multi-tier favor system of the NPCs. The NPCs will gradually open up to the player throughout the quests and tell him their story.
The community manager Risha from Smilegate explained in a blog post that the players are supposed to build an emotional connection to the NPCs through the stories.
In addition, gathering reputation for the individual NPCs in the 3rd beta is supposed to go faster.
What happens after the Closed Beta? In 2018, the Open Beta and thus the release in South Korea is still to follow.
When can we play Lost Ark in English or even German here?
According to a response email from the developer, a release in the USA and Europe has not yet been firmly decided and is being discussed internally. For the fans of the game and interested players, there is still a glimmer of hope.

Neowiz has released a new video showcasing some mounts and the taming process in action. Among other things, there are three-legged lizards.
Your Personal Monster Zoo
Bless Online will be released on May 30 via Steam for PC and shines with a global taming system. You can add almost everything that isn’t three up in a tree to your monster collection. In a video, developer Neowiz introduces the taming mechanics and gives you a little insight into the variety of monsters that await you in the game.
To tame monsters, you need to successfully complete a mini-game.
From wild boars to green orcs, there is the perfect mount for every taste.
Rolf, the three-legged lizard, roams the lands.
Of course, you can also tame more traditional mounts like horses or camels.
The monsters are not part of the cash shop and can simply be captured in the wild.
Your mounts will become stronger the longer you ride them and learn new abilities as a result.
In Bless Online, it will be possible to tame 660 different creatures at the launch of the early access version.
The taming process is not limited to mounts. You can also collect pets that will support you with abilities. We have highlighted how exactly the taming works and what you need to pay attention to in a separate article.
Niantic has announced that special summer forms from the Alola region of Pokémon are coming to Pokémon GO. Monsters from the Kanto region (1st generation) will soon be discovered in their Alola forms, which trainers know from the Alola Pokédex of Sun and Moon.
This is what Niantic says: As Niantic has announced, special Pokémon from the tropical Alola region will soon be found around the globe in Pokémon GO. Some of the Pokémon originally found in the Kanto region will appear soon in unique forms.
Summer 2018 will be tropical in Pokémon GO
Sun, summer, Pokémon: This is likely a summer event of Pokémon GO, aiming to take advantage of the good weather in the northern hemisphere. Experience shows that many trainers are out and about then. Niantic apparently wants to give them something to catch. This seems to be a compromise, as they do not yet want to unleash the 4th generation on the world.
Where does this Alola form come from? They were already seen in the video games Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon.
When does it start? That is not known yet. The special Pokémon are supposed to appear in the “coming weeks.” Niantic will soon provide more information.
These Alola forms could be in Pokémon GO – according to the Alola Pokédex
What kind of monsters could they be? The site Bisafans.de lists the Alola forms from the main series in their Alola Pokédex. They are:
Alola-Ratztfratz
Alola-Rattikarl
Alola-Raichu
Alola-Sandan
Alola-Sandamer
Alola-Vulpix
Alola-Vulnona
Alola-Digda
Alola-Digdri
Alola-Mauzi
Alola-Snobilikat
Alola-Kleinstein
Alola-Georok
Alola-Geowaz
Alola-Sleima
Alola-Sleimok
Alola-Kokowei
Alola-Knogga
Striking shadow play with Kokowei palm: The image for the event shows some silhouettes that match the listed Alola forms. Especially the striking monster Alola-Kokowei stands out. Many other Alola forms can also be recognized as silhouettes.
The new MMO Dauntless has its open beta release for PC on May 24 and will then be free-to-play for all players. The coop action RPG is often compared to Monster Hunter, but it leans more towards MMO. Here’s what you should know before diving into the free monster hunt.
What is Dauntless about? You live onislands that float through the natural energy source Aether. Horrific monsters, known as Behemoths, feed on this Aether and also on humans. Without Aether, the floating islands and thus your home would fall. To prevent the Behemoths from annihilating humanity, you take on the role of a “Slayer” and hunt them down.
You can do this either solo or in cooperative online multiplayer with up to four players.
The gameplay focuses on boss fights and crafting
Behemoths are like raid bosses: You will primarily be busy battling the Behemoths in boss fights. The various monsters differ in size, attacks, elements, and movements, making each creature unique. However, they follow certain patterns, much like a MMORPG raid boss, that you can learn.
Loot Behemoths for better gear: In your hometown Ramsgate, you can craft new weapons, armor, consumables, and lanterns. Lanterns are rechargeable items that give you a temporary effect during the hunt. To craft new gear and items, you need to loot materials from the Behemoths and the environment. It is also possible to upgrade weapons and armor.
The gameplay of Monster Hunter and Dauntless is similar, as it essentially revolves around the same concept: hunting monsters in strategic battles and harvesting them for better gear.
There are 5 weapon classes with rechargeable Aether attacks
Each weapon class has different variations that you craft from materials collected from monsters and the environment. This gives you weapons with different elements and properties. A wide arsenal of varying weapons provides you with an advantage in monster hunting.
Infuse your weapons with Aether to strengthen their attacks: The different properties of the weapons also lead to various Aether attacks. You can also add elemental properties to your weapons.
Here are the 5 weapon classes:
Swords: Every hit fills your blade with Aether, allowing you to build up devastating combos and unleash destructive elemental explosions.
Axes: A powerful strike at the right moment gains additional destructive power. The harder the hit, the more Aether accumulates, rewarding offensive combat tactics with brutal damage.
Hammers: Part war hammer and part cannon, the hammer pulverizes bones and flattens Behemoths up close. Use the momentum of its shattering explosion.
Chain Blades: Attack from a distance, plunging into battle with a rapid succession of strikes. Hit the monsters hard, hit them fast, and be gone before they strike back.
War Pikes: A deadly polearm designed for quick, powerful strikes that extend a Slayer’s range while maintaining pressure. Every hit charges the war pike’s ranged attack.
Dauntless is Free-to-Play: Funded through cosmetics, without loot boxes
Starting from the open beta on May 24, Dauntless will switch to a free-to-play model. Until then, you need to buy into the closed beta with a founder’s pack. This pack includes only cosmetic items that allow you to show that you have been there from the start and supported the game.
The developers at Phoenix Labs have often emphasized that they want no pay walls or pay-to-win elements in Dauntless. Content that is relevant for gameplay should remain free for all players. They aim for a system similar to Warframe or Path of Exile.
Dauntless is an MMO that will receive long-term content updates and new features
Unlike Monster Hunter World, Dauntless adopts a “Games-as-a-Service” approach. Phoenix Labs plans to develop Dauntless over the long term, with fresh content being added regularly.
Currently, there are 5 weapon classes and about 15 Behemoths that you can combat. However, the monsters also have stronger variants that possess different properties than their basic form. You will find the Behemoths scattered across 5 maps.
Phoenix Labs has a lot planned for 2018. More events tied to the story of Dauntless are expected to be added, and optimizations are also being worked on, such as improvements to chat and user interface.
Dauntless is still in beta, so you should expect some bugs, crashes, and an unbalanced experience. Forums like Reddit or community portals like Discord often report poor performance.
Players are sometimes kicked from the game or experience other “game-breaking” bugs. Some weapons are also regarded as significantly weaker than others. The chain blades, in particular, are criticized for consuming too much stamina for too little damage.
Those diving into the open beta should be aware that a small indie studio, Phoenix Labs, is behind Dauntless. If you expect a AAA production, Dauntless is not the right place for you.

Will Dauntless also come to PS4, Xbox One, or the Nintendo Switch? Currently, Dauntless is only planned for PC, but the developers have already indicated a willingness to bring Dauntless to consoles should platform providers inquire.

In Fortnite Battle Royale, Epic has nerfed the damage from traps. Players are already frustrated by this nerf, but it could become much more annoying this week. A leaked challenge requires kills with traps.
Before the patch, traps dealt: Before patch 4.2 last week, traps dealt 125 damage points. Anyone without a shield was immediately dead. This was not considered a huge problem because trap kills occurred relatively rarely.
How it is now: After the patch, traps only deal 75 damage points. So you can survive, albeit injured. Hardly anyone stays in a trap long enough for it to strike a second time, so trap kills are now rather unlikely.
Trap kills are considered creative and varied
Fans react with confusion: Fortnite fans have discussed this nerf on Reddit. There is a large thread saying “If you’re dumb enough to walk into a trap, you deserve 125 damage points.” Overall, the mood is negative. Players feel “No one wanted this nerf.”
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ak9RCPzomR0
What’s the problem? The problem is especially seen in the early minutes of a match. If you find a trap instead of a weapon, you’re pretty much out of luck because you can’t take anyone out with that. Previously, you could cleverly trap one or two opponents in such a situation. Generally, trap kills are seen as varied and clever because you have to anticipate where someone will run.
Fans suggest alternatives:
Fans have the idea of introducing different rarities of traps – the rare ones would deal more damage
Or there could be different types of traps – besides the “spikes from the ground” trap. In PvE “Save the World” there are some cool traps like Ground Griller and similar ones. These could also be used for Battle Royale
Or traps should continue to deal 125 damage, but only as long as the trap creator is alive. If the trap creator dies, the damage could drop to 75
Nerf could become annoying this week: The mood about the trap nerf is already negative. This week could be worse – one of the leaked challenges for week 4 is “Kill someone with a trap.” But maybe Epic will show some mercy and change this challenge.
In Bless Online you can tame a variety of enemies and make them your companions. We explain in our Bless Taming Guide how taming pets and mounts works.
Catch them all!
Which enemies can I tame? You can tame almost all creatures and some humanoid enemies. At the start of the Early Access version of Bless Online, you can tame 660 different creatures. When you click on an enemy, a small symbol appears to the left of their health bar. There are two types of symbols:
The steering wheel means that the enemy is a potential mount.
The butterfly means that you can make the enemy your pet.
How does taming work? You simply approach an enemy, select them, and use one of the taming scrolls in your inventory. This starts a mini-game where the goal is to hit the green area with a swinging cursor. Once you manage to do this a few times, you will obtain the tamed enemy.
There is a small chance that you will encounter a rare enemy during the taming process, which has better stats than normal enemies. In total, you can own 40 pets and mounts at the same time. If you want to increase this number, you need to level up your taming profession. You gain experience points for this when you tame monsters. The more you catch, the larger your Pokémon collection monster collection can be.
Where do I get my taming scrolls? You can obtain taming scrolls through leveling and the main quest. Alternatively, players can craft these if they reach a certain level in the “Enchanting” profession.
Once you have tamed a monster, the next step is to enhance it.
Enhance your pets and mounts
How do I increase the rarity of my creatures? You can enhance monsters in various ways:
Pets consume stamina when you carry them with you. For every stamina point consumed, they also gain experience points, which level up their stats.
Mounts consume stamina while you ride them. Here too, they gain experience points for each stamina point consumed.
You can sacrifice other pets and mounts to enhance your monsters.
If the bar drops to zero, you will not be able to use the monster for the time being and must wait until the bar fills up again. The bar fills up when your monster reaches the next level. If you want to power-level a mount, it’s best to just run around.
Once a mount or pet has reached its maximum level, you can upgrade it to the next rarity rank. For example, from green to blue. This gives your monsters new abilities that support you.
To upgrade a monster, you sacrifice another monster of the same rarity rank. The chance of a successful upgrade is higher if you use a similar monster for the upgrade. So if you want to improve your water elemental, it’s best to sacrifice a water elemental. If the upgrade process fails, the upgrade chance permanently increases by a few percent.
However, it is not possible to simply take any monsters and throw them at your favorite creature until it finally evolves. Each monster has a limited number of upgrade attempts and potential upgrades.
Upgrade attempts are the number of upgrades you can perform. This value ranges from 6 to 10. Once you reach the maximum attempts, no further attempts are possible.
Potential upgrades reset your upgrade attempts to between 6 and 10. Potential upgrades can range from 0 to 2.
To use potential upgrades, you need items from the cash shop in the Japanese version of Bless Online. How this will work for us is still unclear.
For some players, the endgame of Bless will certainly consist of obtaining the best pets and mounts with the best ability compositions. You can also seal your monsters with a specific item and sell/give them to other players.
Choose the right ability for the right situation
Pets and mounts each have their own abilities that they can learn.
Mount abilities give you bonuses while riding them. Particularly, the ability that increases your jump height by 381% stands out. The abilities are independent of the rarity level of your mounts and pets. You can therefore receive a purple experience point buff from a blue monster.
Movement speed increases by 10%/20%/40%.
The stamina consumption when summoning the mount is reduced by 5%/10/20%. Additionally, stamina consumption while riding is reduced by 10%/20%/50%.
The maximum stamina increases by 200/350/600.
Summoning time is reduced by 30%/50%/100%.
The mount gains the ability to sprint. Increases movement speed by 20%/30%/60% for 5 seconds.
Some of the mount abilities in Bless Online.
The mount gains the ability to camouflage. Reduces enemies’ perception range by 30%/50%/80%. Movement speed is also reduced by 40%/30%/15%.
Reduces the chance of being knocked off by your mount by 10%/20%/50%.
The climbing angle increases by 10%/20%/40%.
Jump height increases by 162%/246%/381%.

In the MMORPG The Elder Scrolls Online the Early Access for the new chapter Summerset on PC started today, on May 21st. The servers went offline for maintenance. However, ESO is back online now: the update and patch notes are here.
When does maintenance start? At 10:00 AM our time, the PC servers were taken offline for maintenance. This corresponds to 4:00 AM Eastern Time in the USA.
Patch notes and update are here
How long does maintenance take for ESO? The exact duration of the maintenance work is not known. Community manager Gina Bruno stated that they hope everything will be back up later in the morning. This could mean for us: The Elder Scrolls Online will be back in the late afternoon. Maybe 4 PM. Maybe a bit later.
Update 3:20 PM: It seems to have gone a bit faster after all. The servers are still down for maintenance, but the update is now available and can be downloaded. It is about 10 GB in size. The patch notes for 4.0.5 Summerset can be read in full length here at ESO. They are also available in German.
What is happening today? Summerset is essentially launching on PC. The “Early Access” actually just means that PC players can play it before players on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Those will have to wait two weeks. A prerequisite is that players have purchased Summerset. Otherwise, they can only play the update that comes for free with Summerset.
Why is this happening on a holiday? Pentecost Monday is only a public holiday in our regions and some neighboring countries. In the USA, today is a regular working day, and Zenimax aligns itself with the USA.
PS4 and Xbox One players start on June 5: For players on consoles, it doesn’t start until 2 weeks later. This is customary for ESO, as patches also arrive later there.
Players are cautiously optimistic about the launch: In a thread in the official ESO forums, PC players are already discussing the headstart. They have experienced this before. It is expected that:
It will be a mammoth patch, a gigantic download
Add-ons will not work with the new patch for a few days while the add-on developers adjust them to the new version
and pessimists believe that there will be problems right at the beginning – it is advised to take the day off not on the patch day, but rather the day after
Everything about the new chapter Summerset and the many new features has been outlined in this article:
The Korean version of Black Desert Online has been expanded with a new pet that is impressive. You can make a cute baby dragon in Pixar style your companion.
Large Red Dragon
Dragons are powerful, fearsome creatures, but they can also be cute and cuddly. The world boss Garmoth is more powerful and fearsome. He is a large, red dragon that sets his surroundings ablaze. Players who challenge him must prepare for a strong opponent.
But apparently, this highly uncomfortable guy also has offspring. Namely, small, cute baby dragons.
Small but Mighty
The little baby dragon is quite clever and comes in different variations. Each variation has its own useful ability.
These are its abilities:
Increases your resistance to desert disease.
Enemy players are automatically detected.
Your required time for automatic fishing is reduced.
The baby dragon provokes nearby enemies and causes them to attack.
Elite enemies nearby are detected.
This is what the little dragon looks like in the game. Image source: InvenGlobal
As a personal pet skill, the baby dragon increases your maximum health points at the highest level by up to 100. You increase the level by breeding two baby dragons together.
When the dragon’s level increases, it gains new abilities. However, leveling does not change its appearance. You also cannot change it with an appearance coupon.
The baby dragon counts as a regular pet, so it needs to be fed. And you can have four other pets along with the dragon at the same time.
How do I obtain the baby dragon? In the Korean version, players must defeat the world boss Garmoth until he drops one of his horns.
Fortunately, the world boss mechanics were also tweaked with the same update. The bosses now appear according to a fixed schedule and drop rare loot more often.
And another picture of the baby dragon because it is soooo cute. Image source: InvenGlobal
If you have the horn, you can exchange it at the NPC Garison in Duvencrune for the Dragon Egg Fossil. From this egg, your little dragon will hatch. With the “Young Red Dragon Pet” item, you can then add the young creature to your collection.
Currently only in Korea
The baby dragon is currently only available for players of the Korean version of Black Desert Online. It is already one of the most popular pets in the game.
Eventually, it will probably find its way to us. However, it is quite possible that we will have to wait some time for the new pet. Between the release of the class Lahn in South Korea and here, there are about 6 months.
Are there alternatives? Yes, until then you can go hunting for the equally cute fairy Laila. She has been available in our version of Black Desert Online since April.

Cheaper in Europe
How much will the founder packs cost in Euros? It’s not entirely clear yet. In many games, the dollar price is converted 1 to 1 into the euro price. Thus, 59,99$ would become 59,99€, resulting in a price increase of approx. 9€. If the price were converted correctly, it would be around 51€.
As Bless Online developer Neowiz has already announced at the press event, they plan to adjust the prices based on Steam’s internal systems. This will make the game a bit cheaper for us Europeans.
How do you get Lumena? You can obtain Lumena from two different sources:
Purchase it through Steam for real money.
Earn it in-game by exchanging points earned from completed dungeons or in PvP for Lumena.
Unfortunately, we still don’t know the exchange rate. That is, how much Lumena you will receive for your hard-earned points.
Moreover, nothing is known about the prices in the cash shop yet. You cannot yet estimate what your Lumena will be worth in the game.
The Masterwork version of the exotic sword Worldline Zero presented a great puzzle for Guardians in Destiny 2. For a long time, it wasn’t clear how to obtain the corresponding catalyst. Even regarding how to level it, fans have so far only shrugged their shoulders. Now, we are one step further. We have the details.
Another secret has been unraveled in Destiny 2 – at least partially: This time it revolves around the Masterwork version of the exotic sword Worldline Zero.
The community has not only figured out how to obtain the required catalyst but also presumably how to upgrade the exotic sword to a Masterwork. This has previously posed what seemed to be an unsolvable riddle for fans.
There is a lot to be done: Now that the question around the first step for the Masterwork upgrade has been answered, it is becoming clear: The Masterwork of Worldline Zero is associated with a lot of work and especially time. It is likely the most challenging known Masterwork task to date. The first Guardians will probably receive the final version in about 4 weeks.
Ornament for Worldline Zero
How to make Worldline Zero a Masterwork
What is Worldline Zero? It is the first exotic sword in Destiny 2. It was introduced in the Warmind expansion.
How do you obtain this exotic sword? We have detailed how to get Worldline Zero in a separate article.
What makes Worldline Zero special? The unique perk of the sword is called Tesseract, which allows you to perform a Tesseract move after a short sprint at the push of a button. You will teleport to your opponent to land a devastating strike.
What can the sword do in the Masterwork version? Worldline Zero will then gain another perk – “Another Dimension”. This perk reduces the activation time for Tesseract.
How do you obtain the catalyst for the Masterwork? The corresponding catalyst is obtained as a random drop from any enemies that you defeat with a sword. You don’t necessarily need to equip Worldline Zero for this. Any legendary sword will work just as well. By the way, you don’t even need Power ammo when focusing on weak enemies.
How to unlock the Masterwork upgrade? The weapon description was not particularly helpful in the search for the answer. While other weapons usually have at least vague hints, Guardians found only three question marks with Worldline Zero.
By chance, however, it has been discovered: To make the first progress in unlocking the Masterwork upgrade, you need to hit the final boss after the 7th wave of the Escalation Protocol with a heavy attack from Worldline Zero, once his shield is down. This will progress you by 20% in this task.
At the same time, you will receive the item “Worldline Ideasthesia: Anarkhiia”. This appears to be the first of 5 items from the Worldline Ideasthesia series discovered in the Destiny 2 database.
What’s next? The community is now sure that further progress is also tied to the Escalation Protocol. This PvE event has 5 different bosses that rotate weekly. This matches the 5 Worldline Ideasthesia items.
If the existing system is maintained, you will receive the remaining 4 items and thus also each 20% of the progress from the remaining 4 end bosses of the Escalation Protocol in this way. Whether there will be another step afterwards is still unclear. The first players would therefore be able to upgrade Worldline Zero to a Masterwork in about 4 weeks.
Why is it so challenging? Even for high-level groups, the Escalation Protocol is still not a task that can be solved casually. This is because you are highly dependent on the skill and level of your fellow players. Established groups have a clear advantage – especially if you can bring in up to 8 friends with a small trick.
Many mixed squads already give up early on their way to the 7th wave or fail due to a lack of players. For solo players, this task has not even been remotely manageable so far.
We will continue to monitor the developments and report on new findings regarding this issue.
It seems that one of the upcoming patches for Fortnite will bring the announced jetpack. Dataminers are finding hints about it – also about the new mode “Shotgun.” The next updates in Fortnite could take players to great heights.
After a quarter of a year break: The jetpack was announced in Fortnite back in February, but was then postponed. Players in Fortnite: Battle Royale have been waiting for a quarter of a year for it to finally be added to the game.
From February
Hint found: And indeed, there is now a hint that the jetpack will really be coming soon. Dataminers from FNBRLeaks have discovered that there is a challenge “Use a jetpack” in week 5. There are 5 Battle Stars as a reward.
Jetpacks are likely coming to Fortnite on May 29
Is it coming next week? Logic dictates: If the jetpack is needed in a challenge, it must be introduced beforehand. The challenge has been found for week “5” of Season 4. That would be on May 29 – so it could be that the jetpack comes next week. It’s less likely that the jetpack will appear this week.
Maybe as part of a new mode: Dataminers have also found hints of a new “limited time mode.” It’s called “Shotguns.” This mode should involve close-range battles where players use shotguns and jetpacks: A completely reasonable and obvious combination.
The Jump Button Lets You Take Off with the Jetpack
How will the jetpack be used? The description of the new mode contains hints on how to use the jetpack in Fortnite. You should press the jump button twice to take off. Then hold the button down to boost. Players should be cautious not to run out of fuel before landing.
Take with caution: The hints are currently based on datamining. They are not official. It’s quite possible that things will get delayed again, and players will have to wait longer for the jetpack.
With the upcoming patches, the secret story of Fortnite is sure to continue:
Today, on May 21st, the Global Event Onslaught starts in The Division. Massive has already reported early issues with the commendations. A hotfix is supposed to remedy the disturbances. Players are also complaining about Delta and Mike errors.
Even before the launch of the new Global Event, Massive announces an error related to the new Global Event. This is not the first time there have been difficulties at the launch of a GE. During Blackout, Delta errors made life difficult for agents, and this event was even extended by a whole week.
Commendations cause trouble during Onslaught
This is the problem that the new event Onslaught has: Some commendations available during the event apparently cannot be completed properly. Among the affected commendations is the “Full House” Commendation, which is needed to unlock the Oni Mask.

How will it be resolved? Massive is reacting quickly and intends to provide a hotfix early this week; furthermore, Onslaught will be extended by 3 days.
Whether the hotfix will also address the issue of error messages is currently unknown. We will keep you updated.
But that’s not all: Delta and Mike are back
Additionally, it seems there are again Delta and even Mike errors. As with the last Global Event, they make playing nearly impossible for many. Players are complaining about these disruptions in The Division.
Massive has not yet released a statement regarding the Delta and Mike errors.
Update 21.05. 12:44:
By now, there has been a server restart and a fix has been deployed. Whether the problems are over remains to be seen. Massive is monitoring the situation and we will stay on it for you.

As part of the May Iron Banner, the popular map Bannerfall from the predecessor makes its debut in Destiny 2. However, the return of this Crucible map has mixed feelings in the community.
On May 22, 2018, the first Iron Banner of Season 3 starts. In addition to new weapons and ornaments, this one-week PvP event comes with a new PvP map. With Bannerfall, a popular Crucible map from Destiny 1 is making a comeback. Many fans are happy about the return. However, there are also critical voices.
About a month ago, the community on Reddit was still asking for the return of the popular map. At that time, Community Manager Cozmo said that they would pass this fans’ request to the developers. And the Guardians didn’t have to wait long – already on May 22, Bannerfall will return in an updated look. Bungie announced this recently on Twitter.

What is Bannerfall? The original Bannerfall is a nearly symmetrical medium-sized map, particularly popular among fans in the Control and Rift modes. The map was added with the “The Taken King” expansion in Destiny 1.
The map was set in an adjacent abandoned tower and offered a well-balanced mix of numerous sniper lanes, close combat hot spots, and flanking opportunities. The balcony sniper duels at the beginning of each round, as well as the fight for heavy ammo at the iconic tree in the central courtyard of the map, quickly became legendary.
What does Bannerfall look like for Destiny 2? The revised map seems to have lost little of its original charm. Where the characteristic tree once stood, only a stump remains. The destruction of the architecture is also more pronounced than in the predecessor. In addition, there are now more Cabal banners on the walls. However, otherwise, the layout of the map appears almost unchanged in the material shown so far.
What do fans say about the return? The community has received this news mostly positively. Many are happy about the return, as it is one of the most popular maps from Destiny 1, which was also designed from the beginning for the 6v6 format. However, there are also critical voices accusing Bungie of further lack of creativity and content recycling.
What do you think of the return of the Bannerfall map? Are you looking forward to 6v6 Guardian duels with a touch of nostalgia? Or should Bungie rather deliver new maps?

Conan Exiles was on the brink for a while. Now it has almost as many players as ever and is among the most played titles on Steam.
Conan Exiles is one of the most played games on Steam: In the past week, Conan Exiles made it back into the top 10 of the most played games on Steam. It is at a level it hasn’t seen in over a year.
Nearly 50,000 players are playing Conan Exiles on Steam
More than 49,000 players played Conan Exiles simultaneously on May 13. The game only saw a higher value shortly after its early access release in January 2017. Back then, it reached a peak of 53,000 players.
Since these numbers only reflect Steam players, the players from Xbox One and PS4 are not yet accounted for. The console versions were not available during early access. It is therefore highly likely that Conan Exiles has even broken its record.
Conan Exiles has apparently recovered from its slump between early access and release. After the peak in January 2017, the game lost almost 95% of its players and was on the verge of dying.
New Conan game already in planning: While Conan Exiles was still in development, Funcom already talked about their plans for afterward. The game studio is already planning a new game in the Conan universe. However, Conan Exiles should be finished first.
Now that Conan Exiles is released, Funcom wants to continue focusing on the survival hit. The game is to be supported for a long time. Only when enough resources are freed up should the new Conan game go into development.

Pantheon aims to provide a classic player experience and is reminiscent of Everquest 1. Therefore, the classes also play just as one would remember from earlier times. With the Rogue, Ranger, and Monk, three more interesting classes have now been introduced.
Three classic classes
What role do the Rogues play? Rogues can be exceptionally skilled with dagger and blade, but prefer to avoid close combat. They are masters of deception and plan their attacks from the shadows.
Discover an opportunity for a stealthy attack, then strike. Or they use their also present alchemical talents to create their own opportunity to attack. When the moment comes, there are few in the world of Terminus who can withstand the deadly attacks of a rogue. After the attack, the Rogues vanish as if they were never there.
As races for Rogues, you can choose between:
Dark Myr
Dwarf
Elf
Halfling
Human
Gnome
Skar
How to play a Ranger. The Ranger is skilled in both melee and ranged combat, easily switching between the two styles. In melee combat, Rangers prefer one-handed weapons over two-handed weapons to deal devastating damage with swift precision. In ranged combat, Rangers use bows and crossbows to deal deadly ranged damage, push back enemies, illuminate the surroundings, set traps, or flee from danger.
The following races are available for the Ranger class:
Humans
Elves
Halflings
The Monk is a good damage dealer. Monks have developed the strength and control to execute devastating physical attacks. Monks use strong, targeted strikes with their hands, feet, and combat weapons. Additionally, they build a connection between their body and soul, allowing them to channel their inner energy known as Chakra. To use the Chakra, the monk must open six “gates” within themselves, which unleashes a flow of damage or manifests as strong defensive and self-healing powers.
The Chakra accumulates as a percentage of the damage dealt. Additionally, certain abilities increase the monk’s Chakra when used.
Races that can become a Monk are:
Humans
Dark Myr
Archai
Skar
Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen is currently in a pre-alpha phase. A release is not expected before 2019.
