New Pokémon adventures for the Nintendo Switch are coming in November: “Pokémon Let’s Go, Pikachu” and “Let’s Go, Evoli”. In the trailer, you can see what to expect.
The adventures in the Pokémon universe start on November 16, 2018, with Pokémon Let’s Go on the Nintendo Switch. Pokémon Let’s Go in the versions “Pikachu” and “Evoli” is inspired by Pokémon Yellow, which was released in 1998 in Japan for the Game Boy.
Depending on the version, either Pikachu or Evoli will accompany you on your adventures.
Features from Pokémon GO in the games: Trainers who already play Pokémon GO will find intuitive features in Pokémon Let’s Go. This includes the catching feature that rewards you for good throws.
Pokémon Let’s Go takes place in the Kanto region, where the first 151 Pokémon were found. With your Joy-Con controller, you throw Poké Balls at wild monsters. If you want, you can play together with friends in two-player mode.
A new comic about World of Warcraft provides new information about the background story. Those who enjoy sad dwarf lore will find it here.
The story of Battle for Azeroth is announced through various comics. Now the second issue of the prehistory has been released with the title “The Speaker”. It is about Magni Bronzebeard and his visit to the Sword of Azeroth, where he hopes to communicate with the planet.
Magni’s Memories: The “Diamond King” Magni Bronzebeard no longer hears the voice of Azeroth. But when he collapses in despair, he remembers days from the past. There he ruled alongside his wife Eimear and raised their daughter Moira together with her. However, Eimear died during an attack by the ice trolls, and Moira later ended up with the Dark Iron dwarves. The memory of the loss and his mistakes drives him to ensure that this does not happen with Azeroth, bringing his attention to the Azerite.
What other speculations are there? Some fans on Reddit are already speculating again that the comic contains some ambiguities. The theory has long circulated that Magni has been corrupted by the Old Gods and is now unwittingly acting on their behalf. This fits with the fact that Magni no longer hears the voice of Azeroth in the comic but only memories from the past. Whether there is anything to this theory will probably only become clear towards the end of the upcoming expansion.
What do you think about the comic and the little bits of dwarf story that came with it? Is the story told better this way or should it all take place and be visible in the game?
Fortnite: Battle Royale (PC, PS4, iOS & Xbox One) allows for some cool fan movies thanks to the video editor. Fans have created Fortnite in a retro arcade sidescroller style. This is how Fortnite might have looked if it had come to arcades 20 years ago.
For some time now, Fortnite has been recording all matches as replays. You can rewatch your best or worst actions at any time. But Epic has packed in a few cool features into a video editor.
This allows you to freely adjust the camera angle. Recently, some fans have given Fortnite a cool 2D arcade look.
Fortnite in 2D
The video “Fortnite: The Arcade Game” shows the entire gameplay from the side. The players shoot through the area and at the end of each “stage”, they go to the next level. Among other places, to the disco or the soccer field. In the end, it comes to an explosive showdown in the “Skybase”.
We have embedded the video here for you. Enjoy watching!

Battle Royale as far as the eye can see. Many developers want a piece of the pie – including Farm 51, who have announced the shooter World War 3. The trailer shows tanks and a fierce battle for the streets.
Battle Royale in Small, Warzone in Large
What is it about?World War 3 immerses you, as the name suggests, in the Third World War. Here you fight with modern warfare equipment, use vehicles and drones to gain dominance. Furthermore, you are supposed to fight for “national pride”, which sounds a bit strange. Additionally, the team aims to pursue a realistic approach. Bullets and their impact on armor should be authentically integrated into the game.
A small Battle Royale mode. World War 3 does not aim to escalate the popular mode into something even bigger like other titles, with larger maps and even more room for many players. Instead, they scale everything down in the mode called Recon to provide an intense gaming experience. You are part of a small reconnaissance group and are supposed to capture specific objectives in enemy territory. Nevertheless, the Battle Royale feeling familiar from PUBG and Fortnite is intended to emerge.
The Warzone mode offers large battles. If you value larger skirmishes and want to experience real battles, then the Warzone mode might be more for you. The game feeling is supposed to be somewhat oriented towards Battlefield. You are navigating in cities like Berlin, Warsaw, or Moscow and use a tactical map to conquer the map. For this, you utilize vehicles and must coordinate well within the group. Sophisticated strategies are important to gradually capture the zones and decide the war in your favor.
Early Access still in 2018. Later this year, World War 3 will enter an early access phase via Steam. The developers plan to announce a specific date soon. They explain that they want to develop their game together with the community, which is why early feedback is very important. Further details about the shooter will surely follow soon.

Players of EVE Online can finally travel in Abyssal Deadspace and face new adversaries. CCP Games presents a brief overview of the content of the new expansion Into the Abyss in a video timed with the launch.
New Ships, New Weapons, and New PvE Content
“Into the Abyss expands” EVE Online with PvE content that may be interesting for lone wolves. In Abyssal Deadspace, computer-controlled enemies await to be defeated by you. As a reward, there are Mutaplasmids, which allow you to upgrade your modules or, if you’re unlucky, downgrade them.
Highlights of the new expansion include:
The Abyssal Deadspace expands the game with new levels featuring new biomes and weather effects.
Three new Triglavian ships. You can find the blueprints for them in Abyssal Deadspace.
A new weapon system for the new ships. The Entropic Disintegrators fire a type of laser beam that deals more damage the longer it is active.
The systems for planetary colonization have been revised. Tooltips help you better colonize planets.
Additionally, starting June 5, all outposts and conquerable stations will be converted into faction citadels. The organization currently controlling the structures will also gain control over the new citadels.
With the announcement of The Division 2, many players wondered what actually happened to Massive’s game based on the Avatar film series. Now there are answers.
What happened to Avatar?
Avatar is coming! As Ubisoft announced, work on Avatar is progressing. It is one of the most important and largest brands in the entertainment sector and represents a very significant title for Ubisoft.
Game likely to arrive in time for the 2nd movie
When will the game be released? Avatar is expected to release no earlier than fiscal year 2021, which means a release from April 2020 onward. And that makes sense. Director James Cameron is currently working on four sequels to the film, with the first set to hit theaters at Christmas 2020. It is likely that Ubisoft’s game will incorporate some elements from the film, so releasing significantly before the movie’s premiere wouldn’t make much sense. A release timed with the movie’s release is conceivable, similar to what Electronic Arts did with Star Wars: Battlefront 1 and 2.
Not much is known about the game so far. What exactly Avatar will be as a game is still unclear. It is said to use the same engine as The Division, and Ubisoft Massive is also working with a second team on the title. Therefore, it can be assumed that the gameplay will be somewhat oriented to The Division and likely mix single-player content with MMO elements.
Those who have been diligently playing in Destiny 2 for the past few weeks can now obtain the Polaris Lance starting yesterday. We will show you what the final step looks like on the way to Ana’s weapon.
The Polaris Lance, Ana Bray’s exotic scout rifle, is locked behind a time gate. To obtain the weapon, Guardians must complete a multi-part quest, at the end of which – or, as it has now been revealed, already shortly before the end – the coveted weapon awaits as a reward.
Week by week, another quest step is unlocked, provided that you have completed the preceding tasks. This week, diligent guardians can already proceed to the fourth step. After successfully completing it, many Guardians were surprised – Ana handed them the Polaris Lance. Here’s what you need to do this week to get the exotic scout rifle.
You can find the previous quest steps for “Approaching Twilight” here:
In the fourth part of the quest line Approaching Twilight, you must complete three different tasks.
Step 1: Achieve five precision multi-kills without reloading. According to player reports, any weapon works well for this. Additionally, you need 20 kills with the legendary prototype of the Polaris Lance, which you received as a reward for completing Approaching Twilight 3/5.
Step 2: Complete the mission “Fury” on IO. The mission is marked on the map for you. This step is self-explanatory.
Step 3: Activate the Sleeper Node in front of the entrance to Rasputin’s Spirit Lab. You can find the way there in this video.

Then return to Ana, activate the fourth server there with the data, and speak with her again.
By the way: If you missed the previous steps of the quest line, you can still obtain the Polaris Lance this week if you catch up on the corresponding tasks.
Reward: As a reward, Ana will then hand you the Polaris Lance.
What follows after the Polaris Lance?
Since the exotic scout rifle was already available at the end of the fourth of a total of five quest steps, the guardians are now wondering what kind of reward awaits after the final step of the quest line. However, many fans believe that there will be the exotic catalyst for the Polaris Lance. This would also give the Lance the perk Dragonfly.
We will know for sure after the next weekly reset on June 5, 2018. That will unlock Approaching Twilight 5/5.
Have you already received the Lance? What do you think about this exotic scout rifle? Was it worth the effort?

“Pokémon Let’s Go Eevee” and “Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu” were announced for the Nintendo Switch. This is a Yellow remake and will connect with the mobile game Pokémon GO
Release will be on November 16. The game is based on the first region that trainers could ever visit in a Gameboy edition: Kanto. This region is inhabited by the first 151 Pokémon that are in the Pokédex. Among them are the starters Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle.
Eevee or Pikachu will follow you everywhere: In Pokémon Yellow, Pikachu is your starter Pokémon and follows you around. This has been carried over to Pokémon Let’s Go. Depending on the version you have, either Eevee or Pikachu will sit on your head or shoulder.
In-game screenshot: In “Let’s Go Eevee”, the little Normal Pokémon is by your side.
Embark on adventures together in Coop multiplayer
For the first time in Pokémon history, there will be a multiplayer mode.
Multiplayer is limited and only available at certain points: There will be a limited multiplayer mode. A marker indicates when a second trainer can join your game. Using a “drop-in, drop-out” function, the second player can join the ongoing game. The multiplayer mode is usually active when you are on routes, in grass, or in battles. It seems to work mostly outside of buildings, towns, and villages.
Just shake the controller: If someone wants to join a running game, they simply need to shake their little “Joy-Con controller” and they are in the game of the other trainer.
It is dangerous to be out there alone. Why not bring a friend!
New controller “Pokéball Plus”: Take a Pokémon outside
The Pokéball Plus must be purchased separately: With Pokémon Let’s Go, a new controller will also be released. It is known that you can transfer one of your Pokémon from the game into the Pokéball Plus. This will allow you to take your little friend for a walk.
“Let’s take Pikachu for a walk!”
“Pokémon Let’s Go” is connected to the mobile game “Pokémon GO”
Trade Pokémon between smartphone and Switch: It will be possible to trade the first 151 Pokémon between Pokémon GO (on smartphone) and Pokémon Let’s Go (on Switch).
You catch Pokémon like in Pokémon Go using the swipe feature! If you want to get new Pokémon, you will not battle them. Just like in the mobile version, you will perform a swipe motion to throw your balls. You will make a wide swing with your hand to throw the ball. This also seems to work with the Pokéball Plus controller.
The catching function is designed exactly like in Pokémon GO.
Pokémon Let’s Go is a simplified version aimed at new players
Nintendo wants to attract mobile players with Pokémon Let’s Go: Junichi Masuda has been working on Pokémon games since its inception. He is also involved in the mobile game’s game design. Masuda says that Pokémon Go will continue to evolve, and they want to ensure that the console game and mobile game support each other. Furthermore, the intuitive swipe mechanic for catching Pokémon is meant to attract mobile players, allowing them to feel right at home.
Pokémon Let’s GO is not a “classic” main entry in the RPG series – that will come later
New core game is coming in 2019: Developer Masuda confirmed that Pokémon Let’s Go is not the classic main entry that everyone is eagerly waiting for. That will come next year and will again be in the style of games like Pokémon X/Y or Sun/Moon.
In Fortnite, the update 4.3 goes live today on PS4, Xbox One, PC, and iOS. We take a look at the patch notes in English for Fortnite Battle Royale and Save the World. What does the update bring besides the shopping cart?
Today’s update for Fortnite, on May 30, brings the shopping cart as the first vehicle to Fortnite: Battle Royale – and it’s even a two-seater. Additionally, a new feature comes: You can now see when challenges are progressing during a Battle Royale match.
The highlights of the patch notes 4.3 for Fortnite: Battle Royale
There is a new item “Mushrooms,” which give 5 shield, up to a maximum of 100. You can find them where mushrooms usually grow: in the shade of forests or in swamp areas.
The highlight is definitely the shopping carts – they are two-seaters! The passenger can shoot, while the other one has to push. But be careful: fall damage is active.
2 new limited-time modes for Fortnite: Battle Royale
The new mode Blitz V2 comes with new weapons and items that have entered Fortnite since the mode first appeared. Now there are pocket forts and light machine guns. The bus flies lower, so everyone can jump into the action of Fortnite faster. There is more loot, but the storm approaches quickly.
New mode Teams of 20 v2 – here, 5 teams of 20 players each compete against each other. Each team comes in its own bus and consists of 5 squads of 4 players each. There is more loot in the mode and six storm circles instead of nine.
Shots to the upper chest and neck should no longer count as headshots.
Additionally, there have been improvements to turbo building, as bugs have been fixed. It should now run smoother overall.
We have already discussed the improvements in turbo building and the live challenges here.
The highlights of the patch notes 4.3 for Fortnite “Save the World”
In Save the World, the Blockbuster-questline is back. It continues with part 2 “A Hero is Born” – in the quest, you will be able to grab the “mythic soldier Carbide” – who even has his own subclass.
More skill points: There are up to 64 new Commander points that can be awarded afterwards.
On the last day of each month, Epic will put two free upgrade llamas in the store – you need to grab those.
If players increase the difficulty of missions via BluGlo it now pays off more – you will get more gold.
Also, new daily quests are coming, focusing mainly on eliminating husks with specific weapons – and Epic has made some daily challenges in Fortnite easier by reducing the number of required targets.
Pocket forts and a new assault rifle are now coming to Save the World
Voice chat is now active on PC and cross-platform.
Exchange feature is also included: Compared to the small patch last week, this is a real content update this time. With numerous contents. Also, the function to exchange skins is back.
Today, on May 20, 2018, the first experiment in the Crucible Labs of Destiny 2 starts. We summarize the key information for you.
With update 1.2.1, the Crucible Labs were introduced to Destiny 2 on May 29. However, after downloading and installing the latest patch, players initially searched in vain for this new feature.
Only the delayed patch notes clarified – while the Crucible Labs were indeed part of the update, they would only be active at a later time. However, just a few hours later, Bungie provided additional details about this feature.
Crucible Labs in Destiny 2
What are the Crucible Labs? The Crucible Labs are an additional playlist in the Crucible of Destiny 2. It is neither a standalone game nor a different version of Destiny 2. Moreover, the feature will not be permanently active.
What will happen there? In this experimental PvP playlist, new game modes and changes to already existing modes will be introduced and tested. Crucible Labs provide developers an opportunity to test certain things in a live environment before they are classified as “finished” and presented to the fans.
Furthermore, they want to gather feedback from the community on the changes or innovations and use that data in future decisions.
No testing of sandbox changes: As Crucible Lead Derek Carroll noted, the Crucible Labs will not include sandbox balance. Testing of sandbox adjustments will therefore not be part of this new feature.

Sandbox Lead Josh Hamrick also mentioned that while the sandbox team would like to benefit from this feature, they are held back by two factors.
Firstly, the team is completely occupied in terms of time and personnel. The results of this work will be visible to players soon.
Additionally, most technical changes to the sandbox cannot be made without also affecting the entire game beyond the boundaries of the Crucible Labs. Although some changes could be simulated with certain tricks, it is not possible with the majority of parameters.
When do the Crucible Labs start? The first tests begin on May 30, 2018, at 6:00 PM. Dates and information for further tests will be announced in a timely manner.
Tanks have it easy in WoW: Legion to hold aggro from single targets and even whole groups. Usually, one ability is enough, and the standard enemies stick to the tank like glue. In Battle for Azeroth, this will change.
Less threat in Battle for Azeroth: Blizzard is introducing a change to all tank classes with Battle for Azeroth. Each protection specialization will then only generate four times the normal threat.
This is how tanking works in Battle for Azeroth: Characters with a tank specialization will continue to generate more threat than DPS classes. For every point of damage, tanks generate 4 times more threat than other specializations.
In general, this is a reduction of about 80 percent. For comparison: The affix “fickle” reduces threat generation by 75 percent. So you can already get an idea of what awaits groups in Battle for Azeroth.
This is how tanking works in Legion: Currently, threat increases in Legion for tanks by a factor of 10 – with the right artifact weapon, even up to 20. For every point of damage a tank inflicts in Legion, they generate 20 times more threat than a damage dealer.
Additionally, tanks in Legion, like in Battle for Azeroth, have abilities available that generally generate more threat to compensate for their lower damage. You can take a closer look at what that means in the table below:
Attack
Threat/100 Damage Points (Legion)
Threat/100 Damage Points (BfA)
Automatic Attack
approx. 1,400
400
Automatic Attack + Taunt
approx. 7,000
2,000
Throw Glaive
approx. 5,600-8,000
1,600
Throw Glaive + Taunt
approx. 28,000-40,000
8,000
This is what tanks have to do differently in Battle for Azeroth: Not much will change for tanking bosses and single opponents. Melee characters would have to build 110 percent of the tank’s threat, and ranged characters even 130 percent, to be chosen as targets. In BfA, tanks should still be able to hold this without difficulty.
For groups of enemies and adds in raids, tanks will have to try a bit harder. Tanks should ensure that they do not lose aggro on any target and build threat on all enemies by switching targets. Damage dealers should also give tanks the time to build sufficient aggro.
In Battle for Azeroth, it probably will not work to quickly lay down the consecration and then go grab a coffee…

These giant Alolan forms of Exeggutor are a must-have in any PokéDex of Pokémon GO. A fun eye-catcher in gyms!
Trainers, in Pokémon GO you can now catch a new version of Exeggutor, namely Alolan Exeggutor. This form is particularly eye-catching because the neck of the Pokémon is extremely long. There are already funny screenshots from the nearby display and from gyms.
For a short time, Alolan Exeggutor now appears more frequently in the wild.
Exeggutor in Pokémon GO now special
Those who play Pokémon GO now will discover many giant monsters nearby. To announce the new games Pokémon: Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go, Eevee for the Nintendo Switch, Niantic is providing entertainment in the mobile game.
You can catch it now! Alolan Exeggutor has already been unlocked worldwide and can be caught by you.
Where can I find Alolan Exeggutor? You don’t need to do anything special or unlock a quest. Alolan Exeggutor simply encounters you in the wild.
Source: Pokéwiki.de
Especially common for a short time! To give many trainers the chance to catch this extraordinary monster, Niantic has increased the spawn rate. This means that Alolan Exeggutor will appear in large numbers in the near future. However, it is still unclear how long these forms will spawn more frequently.
After that, they won’t disappear. If Niantic lowers this increased spawn rate again, you can continue to catch Alolan Exeggutor. They will probably stay in the game forever.
Alolan Exeggutor Screenshots
You will notice that the nearby display now looks a bit more interesting. Due to the increased spawning, there are many long-necked Exeggutor to be found there. YouTuber Reversal shows how it looks near him:
And even in the gyms, these giant monsters are making a strong impression. Reddit user amateursaboteur comments on his screenshot: Alolan Exeggutor in gyms just like I always imagined in my dreams:
Today, on Wednesday, May 30, the servers of Fortnite will go offline and a new update will be applied. Patch 4.3 will bring shopping carts, but not the weekly challenges.
Actually, everyone expected the update yesterday. However, due to the Memorial Day celebrations in the USA, Epic did not release an update.
After the weekly challenges were also not properly activated, everyone assumed a patch on Thursday since the weekly challenges are supposed to be activated on that day.
Fortnite servers down this morning
However, Epic seems to have other plans – update 4.3 is coming today, on May 30.
Fortnite servers go offline today: At 10:00 AM our time (4 AM ET), the servers for Fortnite on PS4, Xbox One, PC, and iOS will go down for maintenance.

When does the patch come today and when can you play Fortnite again?
When does update 4.3 arrive? At 9:30 AM German time, matchmaking will be disabled. At 10 AM, the servers will be taken offline and the update will be applied. If everything goes according to plan, you will be able to start again around noon.
What’s included in update 4.3 for the Battle Royale mode? Shopping carts – Much more is not known yet. They will likely serve as vehicles and be usable by one or two players.
How the controls work and what limitations the shopping carts have is currently unknown. There are already some of these carts scattered across the map – including on the “Kart-Bahn” east of Retail Row. Will races actually be held here after the update?
In addition to the shopping carts, there will likely also be bug fixes. Currently particularly annoying:
On consoles, sometimes challenges cannot be scrolled through. To work around this problem, you need to select a skin. Then the challenges can be flipped through normally again.
Sometimes, after jumping out of the Battle Bus, you are sent in a completely different direction than intended.
For the weekly challenges, you will have to wait until tomorrow, Thursday, regardless of the update.
Coming to “Save the World”: The Port-a-Fort
What does update 4.3 bring for “Save the World” players? Based on the roadmap released by Epic, the PvE faction can look forward to the following content:
In Destiny 2, on May 29, the Weekly Reset is back. Update 1.2.1 is live! With the weekly reset, new activities such as the Nightfall or the Flashpoint can now be contested. The weekly Crucible playlist is also rotating again.
It’s that time again: a new week dawns in the Destiny universe – albeit with a rocky start. Update 1.2.1 brought some new features to the game, which are currently only partially available to Guardians.
There are already the first six revamped exotic armor pieces that players can earn and use. The improved group battles also came into the game as part of the update, but will start at a later time. The Crucible Labs will also be unlocked later. More information is expected in the upcoming TWaB.
Furthermore, Bungie has made some changes to heroic strikes. On one hand, they have been upgraded as follows:
Key fragments for the escalation protocol now have a 100 percent drop chance in heroic strikes.
Every three to five Heroic Strikes, there are now legendary rewards that should elevate Guardians to a Power Level of 360 (without mods).
On the other hand, the strike “Exodus Crash” has been removed from the heroic strike playlist and is set to be revamped.
Furthermore, Guardians are expecting additional steps from time-limited quests like the Coming Dawn and the Masterwork upgrade of the exotic sword Worldline Zero.
No modifiers are active in the standard Nightfall!
In Prestige mode, you must activate the modifiers via the challenge cards. These cards drop for DLC owners in the normal and Prestige mode of the Nightfall. Don’t forget that you can upgrade your challenge cards again with Xur starting Friday.
The following challenges should be mastered:
Unbroken: Complete the Nightfall with less than three deaths.
Laser Challenge: Avoid being hit by more than five lasers in the Atlas Gorge.
Heroic Strike Modifiers
The following modifiers are active in the heroic strike playlist:
Solar Singe: Solar damage from all sources is slightly increased
Blackout: Enemy melee attacks are deadly and radar is disabled
Juggernaut: Melee abilities deal more damage and recharge much faster
Since shortly after 6:00 PM, the update 1.2.1 for Destiny 2 can be downloaded and installed. Bungie has now released the patch notes for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
The update 1.2.1 for Destiny 2 is now live. The patch size varies between 680.8 and 717.4 MB depending on the platform and must be downloaded and installed for you to play Destiny 2 again. As no server downtimes are planned, you should be able to play again right after installing the update.
Bungie has just released the official patch notes for update 1.2.1
Bethesda tweeted a teaser image for a Fallout announcement today. There is also a live stream running on the Twitch channel. What could this mean? Is a new Fallout game coming at E3 2018?

Update 19:38: Just now a guy strolled into the picture and whispered something to the figure. It is therefore not just a still image, as some suspected. Reminds of the PR stunt that Overwatch head Jeff Kaplan pulled off at Christmas. 88,000 are currently watching the Bethesda live stream.
Fallout 5 at E3 2018?
What could this mean? Bethesda may already be announcing Fallout 5. Another option could be a Switch port of Fallout 3 or New Vegas, which has already been rumored before. In any case, similar teasers have been used in the past, most recently during the announcement of Fallout 4.
A Fallout 5 seems unlikely, considering the relatively short time since the predecessor by Bethesda’s standards. But maybe the publisher will surprise us again this year.
We can only wait and see.
What do you think? What kind of announcement regarding Fallout could be coming?
A new quest in WoW: Battle for Azeroth is making nature strike back. With laser weapons and bombs. As one would expect for dolphins.
In the upcoming expansion of World of Warcraft, Battle for Azeroth, there are numerous new quests. In one of them, players will receive a particularly strange companion: a dolphin that resorts to high-tech weapons.
Underwater battles as a quest line: On Reddit, a user named willtron3000 posted a screenshot from the quest “Deadliest Cache: Sink and Swim,” which he discovered in the beta of Battle for Azeroth. For the duration of the quest, players control a dolphin equipped with all sorts of weapons. A laser pistol is mounted on its head, prominently displayed in the shown image. The dolphin also has more weapons on its side fins – underwater bombs that can be dropped on enemies.
Not a mount, just a quest companion: After the image, there was immediate speculation about whether the dolphin would also be available as a mount. That doesn’t seem to be the case, as no dolphin has been found as a mount in the database so far. Should that change, we will of course report on it. Because who wouldn’t want a laser dolphin as a permanent mount?
That Battle for Azeroth, however, also shows itself to be very down-to-earth in many respects, we explained in our beta report:
What do you think of such rather absurd and whacky quests? Is this a welcome relief while gaming? Or do such missions disturb the overall impression of the game world?

At the launch of the Summerset add-on for The Elder Scrolls Online, we were visited by Rich Lambert, the Creative Director at Zenimax. We talked to him about the future of ESO and the planned new story.
Summerset, the second expansion for The Elder Scrolls Online is here. But ESO is not standing still, and the developers at Zenimax already have plans for new content until 2020 and beyond. Especially the new story is going to be something very special.
The Interview with Creative Director Rich Lambert
We asked Creative Director Rich Lambert all these questions in the interview and received some interesting answers.
Rich Lambert, the Creative Director of ESO.
Will new classes and weapons come to The Elder Scrolls Online?
Mein-MMO: Summerset played it safe and did not take any major risks. For example, there was no new class, but there were new skills. Will this now be the norm for future updates and add-ons?
Rich: The new skill line was an experiment. With a new class, players would have to start over again. With the new skill line, you can continue playing and expanding with your old character. We are excited to see how it resonates with the players. However, we are not saying that we will never bring a new class again.
Mein-MMO: Are there plans for new weapons, like spears or crossbows?
Rich: New weapons are difficult, especially due to animations and balancing. But the longer the game exists, the more likely it is that something like this will come.
Is ESO hindering The Elder Scrolls VI?
Mein-MMO: Is there collaboration with the team making The Elder Scrolls 6? What happens if you plan something else? Are there any conflicts?
Rich: We talk to Bethesda when we plan something new. They are the owners of the series and have the final say. We cannot do anything without their approval. Therefore, we talked to them to see if the Psijic Order would create problems or break lore. If they say ‘No’, we do not do it. We could not bring the Psijic Order back to Tamriel as originally planned because Bethesda was against it. Therefore, you as players travel to the Order in Artaeum. That worked.
Mein-MMO: What if Bethesda wants to do something in an upcoming Elder Scrolls game that has until now only been in ESO, like Orsinium?
Rich: Then they will approach us and inquire about what we have done and will take that into account. What we do is also canon.
Mein-MMO: Will ESO hinder or delay the development of The Elder Scrolls 6?
Rich: No, those are two completely different teams.
How is ESO evolving?
Mein-MMO: Are there plans for an engine upgrade? How do you want to ensure that ESO remains fresh and appealing in the coming years?
Rich: Currently, nothing like that is planned. However, there have already been performance upgrades for the new consoles, PS4 Pro and Xbox One X. In Summerset, many things already look better. For example, when comparing Summerset to the equally lavish region of Rivenspire from the base game, Summerset already looks much better.
Mein-MMO: How long will ESO continue?
Rich: There are plans until 2020 and beyond. We will continue until no one wants to play ESO anymore. And we also change our plans if something does not work out. Just like we did after the PC launch. We turned the game around 180 degrees because players wanted something different. We would do that again if necessary.
Mein-MMO: If you could change something in the game immediately and without effort, what would it be?
Rich: I would improve the overall performance, framerates, and such. But we have already done a lot in that respect, and in Summerset, multicore support has been improved, among other things. I would like to improve that even more.
Mein-MMO: Morrowind was a region of the Ebonheart Pact, Summerset is in the Dominion territory. If we follow this logic, the next add-on in 2019 should actually be in the Daggerfall Covenant. Probably among the Bretons, since there has already been additional content for Orcs and Redguards.
Rich: I don’t want to comment on that. You will find out next year.
Mein-MMO: Can you at least give us a little hint about where the story is headed? Now that the Daedra triad story ends in Summerset?
Rich: Players will totally flip out [in the new story]! It will be something completely new!
Mein-MMO: So it won’t be – like in WOW – a return to the war of factions?
Rich: No, as mentioned, there will be something completely new that has never been in ESO before.
Mein-MMO: Will the new story come in the next adventure zone or only in the new add-on in 2019?
Rich: I don’t want to spoil that yet.

Mein-MMO: The new adventure zone will probably not be Mephala’s realm, since the Daedra story ends in Summerset. Can you give us a hint about where it goes?
Rich: No, but who knows, you might hear something at E3. Or in the game if you pay attention…
The first impressions and reviews of Bless Online can already be found online. Opinions are currently divided. Many players struggle with the poor performance. However, those who could play relatively smoothly are pleased with the gameplay and combat system.
Buyers of a Founder’s Pack can play Bless now through a head start. On community portals like Reddit, Steam or Discord, early players report on their first hours in Bless. We summarize the opinions here on Mein MMO.
Players get stuck on the start screen and have low FPS
Especially the reports about the poor performance are currently overwhelming and dominate the first user experiences.
Even high-end computers have issues: Players who own high-performance computers also complain about heavy stuttering and low FPS. Others report that they cannot play Bless at maximum resolution. Many find the technical and graphical implementation rather disappointing for an AAA MMORPG.
Players cannot get into the game: The most common problem has been that players got stuck on the start screen and could not log in at all.
The first early starters are therefore demanding their money back: Bless had its official launch on May 30. Players who bought a Founder’s Pack paid for a two-day head start. However, these players are upset about the severe performance issues, as they have gained little from their early access. Those who want a refund can request it from Steam and state the performance as the reason. Players who did this report that there were no issues with the exchange.
Are you also having performance issues? We have a guide for that:
The original launch of Bless was in January 2016 in South Korea. For the release in the West, the game was supposed to be localized and revised. However, the translations are sharply criticized.
Players report about the English voice-over, stating it sounds as if someone ran the texts through “Google Translate”. The grammar is incorrect and some parts are erroneous.
The German translations are partly non-existent. Our reader Werner writes under one of our Bless articles: “[…] There is no German interface, everything is in English even though it is set to German in the launcher. […] However, there are German subtitles in the cutscenes. […] The Steam page states that the interface language is German. This is simply incorrect.”
The players hope that Neowiz will work on this again and provide (correct) translations.
Combat system is praised and feels good
As players are currently struggling with the severe performance issues, there is little discussion about the game and the gameplay itself. However, those who could play relatively smoothly express positive remarks.
The fast combat system feels good: Bless has a classic tab-target system, which is praised by the players. It is said to feel rhythmic and fluid. There are a total of seven skill slots with a combo system. Overall, Bless is said to feel fast and action-packed.
There is limited “action combat”: Some players were confused that Bless does not have action combat. In the Japanese version, there was an option to switch between action combat and tab-target. This function is not available in the western version. The only class that has action combat is the Berserker.
Although Neowiz never claimed that Bless would have action combat for the West, many assumed this and are now disappointed accordingly. The studio is accused of not having communicated this clearly enough. There was only talk of an action-rich combat system.
Community seems divided into two factions
Interestingly, the following two posts are the strongest on the Bless subreddit:
The negative criticismmainly revolves around the poor performance of the game: As players are partly unable to play, they now want their money back. Bless has reached certain technical limits with its outdated Unreal Engine 3. The poor performance has already caused negative headlines in the Asian region. There are concerns that Neowiz might not be able to manage this problem in the West either.
The positive voices are satisfied with the gameplay implementation: This faction points out to the other players that no Steam MMORPG release has gone smoothly so far. They suggest exercising a bit of patience. Once the game is running, it is said to be a lot of fun and immersive. Especially fans of the classic MMORPG genre express satisfaction here.
The Overwatch League is supposed to continue to grow. A total of six fresh teams are set to join – including one from Germany.
Already in June, the first season of the Overwatch League ends, and Blizzard has time to take a first assessment. Apparently, they are very satisfied with the success and want to continue expanding. A total of six new teams are supposed to join the Overwatch League, and one of them could be Berlin. This was revealed by Pete Vlastelica, the CEO of Activision Blizzard Esports Leagues, in an interview with Handelsblatt.
Berlin as a potential location: For the expansion, two teams from America, two from the Asia-Pacific region, and two more from Europe and the Middle East are set to join. Berlin is on the list of potential candidates, as it is an important hub for Overwatch players for Blizzard. It is said: “Germany plays an important role for us. This is especially true for Berlin with its rich history in e-sports, startup scene, and vibrancy. Moreover, the demographic profile and cultural significance of the city come into play.”
Long-term games outside of America: The first season of the Overwatch League (and also the upcoming second) takes place entirely in America. However, for the third season, Blizzard wants to host games in the home cities of the teams. This should increase player engagement and allows fans worldwide to be “up close and personal” when the professionals face off against each other.
E-sport underdeveloped in Germany: Handelsblatt noted that e-sports in Germany are still underdeveloped compared to international standards. However, Blizzard sees this as no problem and has learned from market analyses that e-sports are gaining increasing importance for the “younger population”. The exclusive connection to “old” sports is more commonly found among older individuals.
Overall, the growth of the Overwatch League seems to be a good sign that Blizzard’s plan is working and that the league will become a financial success.
