In Fortnite, data miners have now discovered the tasks for week 10. The following tasks will likely be assigned to you this week.
Data miners find challenges: Every week Fortnite brings new challenges that players can complete in BR mode. Data miners find these tasks in advance and share them through leaks.
However, one should take this information with caution, as the developers at Epic may change something before the tasks are released. In the past, these leaks have often been correct, with only details adjusted before the tasks went live.
Update: The challenges in Fortnite are now online. Here are the official ones:
Search for Jigsaw pieces in basements (7): In this task, you are to search for Jigsaw pieces. This is probably a reference to puzzle pieces, but it is not yet clear.
In total, there should be 7 pieces to find in basements. It is still unclear whether every basement counts or just those of the houses near well-known locations. It is assumed that more than 7 pieces are hidden on the map.
Consume Hop-Rocks, apples, or mushrooms (20): For task 2, you should take certain consumables. The data miners point out that Hop-Rocks, apples, or mushrooms are just placeholders and will probably be replaced with the correct task during the week.
Eliminate opponents (10): This is the difficult task of Week 10. You need to take out 10 opponents.
The paid tasks in week 10 (with Battle Pass)
Search chests at Salty Springs (7): The typical chest-searching task for this week. As always, easy to complete in the 50vs50 mode.
Deal damage to opponents (5000): This may just be a placeholder task that will be swapped. Otherwise, it is quite easy, as you don’t need to deal this damage in one match.
Search between a waterfall, a bridge, and tennis courts: The search from week 10. We will again have a guide for you on Mein-MMO.de.
Eliminate 3 opponents in Risky Reels: For the final task, you should travel to Risky Reels and take out opponents there. Many players are likely to gather there.

Whether these tasks are really correct will be revealed this week when Epic presents the challenges for week 10. As always, we will then present them here on Mein-MMO.de and create guides for the difficult parts.
The MMORPG Pirates of the Burning Sea has lost its only programmer, which now means the end of the game. Unless the community takes over the title.
An MMORPG has to shut down its servers because the only coder is leaving. The team behind Pirates of the Burning Sea now hopes that the last remaining fans will take over and continue operating the game.
The End of an MMORPG
What happened?
The pirate MMO Pirates of the Burning Sea was released in 2008 by Flying Lab Software. The distribution was handled by Sony Online Entertainment.
However, in 2012, the game was removed from the portfolio due to a sharp decline in player numbers. Some former developers of the online game took over the title and continued it under the company Portalus.
The downward trend, however, could not be stopped. It was said that the game was developed completely ignoring the community and feedback was disregarded.
Now Portalus has announced that the only remaining programmer has left the team. This means that Pirates of the Burning Sea can no longer be operated. The game is facing closure.
What happens next? Portalus is now hoping for the few remaining community members. Portalus is to be dissolved and replaced by a new non-commercial entity.
Volunteers from the community are being sought who want to help run the MMORPG on a voluntary basis. A corresponding discussion will be started on the official forum of the game.
This is how the community reacts: The community of Pirates of the Burning Sea is tiny. Even on the official forum, there are hardly any discussions taking place. The few reactions to the end of the MMORPG consist of accusations against the development team who simply did not listen to their players.
Whether a team of volunteers can be assembled in this way to continue developing PotBS is currently questionable.

In Destiny 2, there is chaos surrounding the weekly challenges. Bungie is therefore changing the Weekly Reset.
First big problem in Forsaken: As Bungie announced a few hours ago, the first “high priority” issue in Forsaken has been identified. This is a problem affecting all Guardians, and a fix needs to be delivered as soon as possible.
What kind of problem is it? The issue affects the weekly challenges in Forsaken. Some of them were apparently unintentionally reset over the past weekend and are now showing the Guardians that they can grab the powerful loot again. This should not be the case, as weekly challenges are supposed to reset every Tuesday at 7 PM.
What is being done about the problem?
What exactly happened? On Sunday, Bungie commented on the situation. They are aware of an issue with the weekly challenges and are investigating the matter. It appears to be a UI issue. Players are still receiving loot only once a week; it is simply displayed incorrectly.
A few hours ago, Bungie added that the weekly challenges of Gambit, the Crucible, and Heroic Story Missions were affected and that the problem occurred on Saturday night to Sunday at 2 AM.
How Bungie is reacting to the problem: Due to this issue, Bungie states that these three weekly challenges will not reset again on Tuesday, September 11, at the normal Weekly Reset time. They are working on a fix. Other weekly challenges like the Nightfall or the Strikes are reportedly not affected. All weekly challenges are to reset uniformly on Tuesday in the future.
Impact on your loot yield: If you completed the three affected challenges before Sunday and claimed the weekly loot, you will no longer receive powerful loot from these activities – likely until September 18 (the next Weekly Reset), unless Bungie manages to deliver a fix in time. Even if loot is displayed to you in the Navigator again this week, you will not receive rewards again.
If you have not completed these three weekly challenges yet, you can catch up on them now. You will receive the promised loot. But only once per week.
The reset times in Forsaken are therefore not only confusing but also buggy. You can read more about the resets of daily and weekly challenges here:
Just before the start of the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Blackout Beta, numerous perks were revealed that will be available in the battle royale mode. However, the perks work a bit differently than what players are accustomed to.
In the traditional multiplayer modes of the Call of Duty series, perks have previously acted as permanent upgrades, providing the respective character with various bonuses. In the Blackout mode of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, a different approach has been taken.
In Blackout, perks give you temporary boosts and buffs
How do perks work? In the battle royale mode Blackout, perks represent a type of power-up that is scattered throughout the battlefield. According to the developers, these are consumable items – the benefits associated with the perks are therefore only temporary.
As studio design director David Vonderhaar states: “In Blackout, perks are consumable items. You collect them, you use them, and they have a timer.”
The following perks are currently known:
Paranoia: Gives you an audio warning when an enemy has you in their sights.
Outlander: You take less damage from the circle (play area boundary) and receive a speed boost when you take damage from the circle.
Consumer: Reduces self-heal time by 20% when reviving teammates and using items.
Skulker: You move faster while prone or crouched.
Stimulant: Your health is increased by 100 points.
Iron lungs: You can hold your breath longer – when diving or using the scope of a sniper rifle.
Looter: You can see ammunition, health packs, weapons, and other items through walls.
Dead Silence: Reduces the volume of your footsteps.
Try it yourself: And soon you will have the chance to try out these perks yourself. Because today, on September 10, 2018, the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Blackout Beta starts – initially on PS4. You can find all important details here:
What is special about Amazon’s new MMO, behind New World? We take a look at the new sandbox MMO.
The shipping giant Amazon is ambitious and wants to enter gaming. With “New World,” they have a game in development that aims to attract MMO players.
Patrick Gilmore is the Studio Head of Amazon Games. In an interview with GamerHubTV, it becomes clear what makes “New World” special and how it could advance the MMO genre.
Because “New World” places a special focus on the “M” in “Massive.”
The Dimension: Massive
New World aims to be “Massive”: The special aspect of New World is the scale of the game. While many new “MMOs” today have servers that only accommodate 30 or 50 players, New World aims to simulate a massive world.
In the early tests, there are supposed to be 500 to 700 players on a server. These tests are expected to start as early as fall 2018. Later, it is said that the number will reach into the “thousands.”
The world is also supposed to be enormous. The new continent will be measured not in meters, but in kilometers. New World will offer multiple servers – as they believe that the landmass will be the limiting factor.
The Technology: Own Engine
This is how Amazon plans to achieve it: Through Amazon’s cloud technology, they plan to add more servers as the player count increases. Amazon’s technical capabilities are intended to solve problems that limit other games.
Amazon uses the Lumberyard engine for New World. This engine is also used for Star Citizen. For New World, a version tailored to their specific needs is employed. This also indicates how much technical power is behind the game.
The Setting: Unusual
You will fight through this world in the MMO: New World is set in North America during the time of the discovery of the New World. However, it is not a historical scenario, but one with a fantasy horror twist. There will be mysteries and the extraordinary.
Gameplay sounds like an XXL Rust: In the actual game, New World is inspired by survival crafting titles like Rust or ARK Survival Evolved. However, they want to take that to the next level.
They want to add more classic “MMO” elements than survival games.
In combat, they focus on an action system that rewards skill. Players can assume different roles, such as ranged or melee fighters.
It is already clear that PvP will be at the focus of New World. It will be possible to loot the inventory of players who have fallen in battle.

Especially Amazon’s power makes New World so exciting
That’s why it’s interesting for MMO players: New World could actually lift some limitations of survival MMOs with Amazon behind it and push the MMO genre in a new direction.
While New World may not sound innovative in gameplay, the financial power and technical know-how of Amazon could provide new impulses for the genre.
Amazon will surely try to promote New World through its own platform “Twitch” and position the game in such a way that it is exciting for viewers. Definitely one of the most exciting MMOs currently in development.
A preview report and more information about New World can be found here:
The creators of the sandbox MMORPG Black Desert have acquired CCP, the studio behind the sci-fi MMORPG EVE Online. What is behind the deal?
On Thursday, we reported with some astonishment that CCP (EVE Online) was swallowed by Pearl Abyss (Black Desert). In statements and interviews with Venturebeat, the two heads of the studios shed more light on the deal. This gives us an idea of what might be behind the MMORPG wedding.
How much did Pearl Abyss pay for CCP? The South Korean studio paid 425 million US dollars for CCP. The 250 employees of CCP are expected to continue working at their locations. The deal is expected to go through on October 12.
What changes for players of EVE? Pearl Abyss states: EVE players have no reason to worry. Nothing will change for EVE Online. There are no plans for restructuring at CCP.
Therefore, the simple interpretation is: CCP needs money, Pearl Abyss has money.
Some observers also believe (via MassivelyOp) that the previous investors in EVE Online wanted a “clean exit” from the space MMO after the VR projects failed. The deal with Pearl Abyss allows this clean exit.
However, in the interview, both CEOs state that there is more to the acquisition. Both companies believe they can benefit from the deal.
The deal opens the door to Asia for CCP
Why did CCP do this? According to CCP’s CEO, Hilmar Veigar Pétursson, they see a lot of synergies between their own company and Pearl Abyss. At first glance, Korea and Iceland seem hard to fit together, but EVE and Black Desert are similar.
Therefore, they believe it was good to make this decision and enter the deal. They have always looked towards Korea and China, where the online game industry was born.
Apparently, CCP wants to enter the Asian market.
According to CCP, they still have 40 million US dollars in the bank. Therefore, they were not desperate when entering into the deal. According to Pétursson, it is best to make such deals when you don’t need money.
New MMOs in the EVE universe could arise
What is CCP planning?
The focus for EVE Online is currently on the re-release in China.
Additionally, CCP aims to focus more on mobile. They have been eyeing this for years. It is time to take the next step and develop a hardcore mobile game.
At the moment, CCP is also developing an action MMO. It is expected to use the Unreal Engine.
According to Pearl Abyss’s CEO, Robin Jung, the focus is primarily on the “EVE” brand. They see it as strong and want to unite more strong brands.
Jung is also looking at mobile and wants to develop cross-platform games across PC, mobile, and consoles.
They want to learn from EVE and CCP how to keep players engaged with a game over the years.
Sounds like EVE Mobile
What’s behind this: It looks like both companies are planning to continue investing in EVE or at least in the universe behind it. It seems quite possible that they plan to develop a mobile game in the EVE universe, which will also be released in Asia.
In any case, we are excited to see what offspring come from this unusual Korean-Icelandic marriage. At least they seem to be new MMOs.
The Forsaken expansion for Destiny 2 has been playable for a few days now and is receiving largely positive feedback from the majority of fans. But how have the player numbers developed since the launch?
If the information from the website Destiny-Tracker is to be believed, the player numbers have tripled since the end of August. Although the numbers from the Destiny 2 launch have not been reached, the increase with Forsaken was still substantial.
Destiny 2 – Significant increase in player numbers since the end of August
The current player numbers: The website Destiny-Tracker recorded 1.3 million players in the Crucible and 2.6 million Guardians in PvE on September 7. These figures include players from all three platforms – PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
This is how the statistics are compiled: Only the accounts tracked by the site are considered. The actual statistics are likely even higher. Even considering that these figures are spread across three platforms, it represents a significant jump in a very short time.
This is how it was at the end of August: Although Destiny-Tracker discontinued its extensive player count statistics last year and since then only displays the current numbers on the main page, one can still get a good overview of their development thanks to some web archives.
The last copy of the Destiny-Tracker front page on the archive site Wayback Machine is from August 28, 2018. At that time, 462,000 Crucible players and 767,000 Guardians in PvE were registered.
Does PS Plus play a role? During this time, in addition to the Forsaken release, there was another significant event that may have impacted player numbers. Destiny 2 was made available for free to all PS Plus subscribers on PS4 in September. However, it is difficult to assess how much this action affected the numbers.
Many newcomers as well as returnees: However, looking at the total number of tracked players, it has increased from 9.8 million to 10.5 million between August 28 and September 7. This corresponds to nearly 700,000 new players. In relation to the increase, this number, however, shows that there are not only newcomers, but many returning players who want to take another look at Destiny 2 with Forsaken.
What is special about Forsaken? Many fans consider the Forsaken expansion to be Bungie’s last chance to get the much-maligned Destiny 2 back on track. Apparently, many want to make their own impressions of this last chance. The figures speak a clear language.
And from initial impressions, it seems that Bungie is finally on the right track with Forsaken. The reviews are overwhelmingly positive at least at the beginning – both from the press and from the fans.
Forsaken delivers at launch – but more needs to come: With Forsaken, Bungie addresses the previous core issues of the game for the first time and brings many community-requested features. The expansion is thus not only attractive for newcomers, it also offers veterans many reasons to come back.
However, whether the add-on can convince in the long run remains to be seen. Because especially regarding long-term motivation and in endgame, the major autumn expansion still needs to prove itself. If it can also score points in these aspects, fans may finally get the game they have been waiting so long for.
A player has set the goal of having the fattest character in the new Steam hit SCUM. To achieve this, he eats zombies in large quantities.
The new survival game “Scum” on Steam has realism at its core. Characters get fatter if they eat a high-fat diet. One player takes this to the extreme—or rather: to the width.
Eating is important in Scum: In Scum, you need to feed your inmate. If you eat too little, you lose muscle and strength over time. But you can also gain weight if you really go for it.
The website PC Gamer spoke with a player whose goal is to become as fat as possible. We also want to introduce you to Tojimaru and his unusual goal in Scum.
How does one get so fat in Scum? Player Tojimaru says he spends most of his time lying on the ground. There he eats fat until his stomach is 100% full. Once there’s a little space in his stomach, he eats more fat.
He essentially does this about 8 hours a day since Scum was released.
What does the man eat? The fat mainly comes from zombies that Tojimaru kills. They can then be broken down into their components, including fat. The zombie-fat diet is supplemented by some mushrooms that provide the necessary vitamin D. Occasionally, a deer or a bear is also on the menu, but mainly it’s zombies.
Tojimaru has also set up a pantry in the form of a sofa.
How fat is the character? The player has now fattened himself from 125 kilograms to a proud 188 kilos.
In the beginning, he experimented with methods on how to gain weight correctly. He tried whether vegetable oil or butter would bring more weight gain than the zombie fat.
But he eventually gave that up and simply followed his mission to become the fattest man in Scum.
19-year-old Ali “Myth” Kabbani is considered one of the best and most innovative Fortnite players in the world. But he has a problem – with his Twitch chat.
Who is Myth? Myth is a well-known eSports professional in Fortnite. He is 19 and plays for “Team SoloMid”, one of the largest organizations in eSports. Additionally, he has built a massive following on Twitch: With over 4 million followers, Myth has the third-largest Twitch channel in the world.
Myth is considered an innovative Fortnite player who has defined a playstyle that many now follow. His building skills are regarded as masterful.

In the official eSports events by Epic Games, the Summer Skirmish Series, he hardly had a role to play. While other eSports players like Poach excelled and newcomers secured large prize money, Myth was denied that.
That has brought him a steady stream of insults. People consider him “overrated” and are more than happy to tell him so live in the Twitch chat.
This is what Myth says: As part of the problem, Myth has therefore targeted his Twitch chat. This is reported by the US site Kotaku. He receives so much hate every day that he believes it hinders his gameplay.
Myth says he is 19 and a human. This immense hate affects him negatively. It is not a healthy environment for a person to improve.

Ninja causes more hate: The hate probably peaked when the even larger Fortnite streamer Ninja re-hosted Myth’s stream. As a result, Myth suddenly had a series of unfamiliar Fortnite fans in his channel who insulted him.
They said he plays like a “bitch,” should suck things, or will fail anyway.
Myth takes consequences: Myth has now informed his chat of a decision: He will no longer stream “scrimmages” live or leave the chat for that occasion.
“Scrimmages” are training sessions under competitive conditions that professionals undergo.

What’s behind it: Even in conventional sports, athletes are often harshly reprimanded by their own fans. They project their hopes onto the athlete, identify with him, and are deeply disappointed when he fails. The reprimanding serves as a vent to release their own frustration.
However, in conventional sports, there is a significant distance between the athlete and the fan.
In eSports, this distance is often much smaller, especially because streamers must also be entertainers and seek closeness to the audience.
For a 19-year-old, a Twitch chat with over 4 million followers dissecting every mistake is not a healthy environment. Especially when some already bring a lot of their own issues into the chat.
Even for older streamers, Twitch is ruthless, even if they have no issues with their chat:
The director and producer of Final Fantasy XIV Naoki Yoshida commented in our conversation on the Xbox and Switch versions of the MMORPG. Negotiations with all parties involved are progressing.
What is the current status of negotiations with the publishers? Yoshida has always said that he wants to make Final Fantasy XIV available on as many consoles as possible, as it is possible. Negotiations regarding the Xbox version of Final Fantasy XIV have been ongoing for years.
The “No Crossplay” stance of Sony, where the company strictly refuses to engage with crossplay offerings from other consoles, could further complicate a port of FFXIV to other platforms, but director Yoshida remains optimistic despite the difficult negotiations.
Discussions with the top management
Can fans still hope for an Xbox or Switch release? “Unfortunately, we are not in a position to make an official announcement regarding this. However, discussions with all parties involved will continue.
There are so many different obstacles we must overcome: differences in regulations, views, systems, and backend. It might not always be obvious from the perspective of the media or the players, but we are making steady progress.”
“Our interlocutors at Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo are among the top management of their respective companies, and we hope that discussions regarding the Xbox and Switch versions can continue. Just on the way here, I was asked by three different people about the Xbox version!”
Read here in the first part of the interview about the collaboration between Monster Hunter: World and Final Fantasy XIV:
The upcoming MMORPG Ashes of Creation does not rely solely on the previously shown action combat system. Instead, it aims to cater to fans of tab-targeting as well. The solution lies in a so-far unique hybrid system that is intended to appeal to all MMORPG fans.
Tab-targeting or action? At PAX West 2018, the upcoming online role-playing game Ashes of Creation impressed with videos of its combat gameplay. In them, the heroes dashed across the battlefields like in the shooter Warframe and fought enemies in an action-packed manner into the virtual beyond. There was much praise, but also some critical voices from players who had envisioned the MMORPG differently.
The problem: Some players therefore expected a completely action-oriented combat system. However, old-school MMO fans of classic tab-targeting systems like World of Warcraft or Everquest found this less appealing.
Developers plan unprecedented hybrid system of action and tab-targeting
Hybrid combat system, but different: The combat system of Ashes of Creation is meant to be a hybrid of both versions: tab-targeting and action. According to an interview with the developers on the site MMORPG.com, it will not function like in Guild Wars 2. They aim to offer something completely new.
This is how the combat system works: In the final version of Ashes of Creation, both combat systems will be used simultaneously. For example, a tank is mentioned who has a charge skill and a protection buff equipped.
Both combat systems at once: The charge is an action skill that allows the tank to rush forward in the direction of view at the press of a button. Meanwhile, he selects his buddies with the tab-target buff skill and grants them the shield buff even during the charge.
Choose your combat system: Depending on how you select your skills, you can focus on tab-target or action. However, there will only be one version of each skill, not a charge for tab and one for action.
This is how skill balancing between tab and action works: In a skill description, it might sometimes appear that an action skill causes more damage. After all, you can completely mess them up with poor aiming. Tab skills, which always hit, might do a bit less damage. In the end, it is important to create a good balance here. A combo system should also help with this.
Combo system unites both types: To get the maximum out of your class, it will be necessary to use both systems. They will condition each other to a certain extent and trigger important combos that provide advantages. Those who only use action skills will have to forgo bonuses like extra damage or group buffs.
Open developer work leads to misunderstandings: After the last trailer, some players were under the impression that Ashes of Creation would be a purely action MMORPG. And back when the classic part of the combat system was shown, it was exactly the opposite.
The developers describe their transparency as a double-edged sword. They reveal their work early in a modular way to work together with the community on the game.
This is very fruitful, but it also has its downsides.
The downside of their approach: Those who only occasionally pick up small pieces of information, such as the action gameplay trailer, can easily get a wrong impression of the game, and these are usually the loudest. According to the developers, this is the downside of their open approach.
Because players who actively participate in development already know how things are progressing. Others, who only occasionally watch a video, unfortunately do not. That leads to a completely different perception.
If the community hates a feature, then they are not married to it either, clarifies lead designer and former Everquest employee Jeff Bard.
Anthem is supposed to be the next big showcase from BioWare, but many players express skepticism about the new MMO shooter. They don’t quite trust the developers’ promises.
According to BioWare, they are following a specific marketing strategy: The developers consciously hold back information about Anthem and do not want any hype yet. The game should be mature enough to be presented in detail to the public.
Fans are expressing skepticism: We notice this on MeinMMO in the comments. But the mood is similar on community portals like Reddit. For example, our reader Visterface writes: “Oh, I don’t know. The more I read [about Anthem], the less I want to play the game.”
Often the tenor is that fans are unsure whether to trust the previous promises of BioWare. What is the reason for this?
There are info tidbits without context: While BioWare does not want to reveal details about Anthem yet, on Mark Darrah’s Twitter account, info tidbits are regularly offered. The Lead Producer holds a daily and open Q&A session where fans’ curious questions are answered tersely or in few words.
News that summarize these info tidbits often leave room for interpretation since they are rather vague. This alone is unsatisfying for some as it creates a hazy picture.
Info tidbits are not the problem: These info tidbits may not create a big hype, but they are exciting to follow. For instance, information about certain gameplay mechanics has come up that would not be known without Darrah’s Twitter.
Many promises, little concrete information: Fans are more annoyed by BioWare’s promise to reveal more concrete information soon. However, these promises are rarely kept:
At E3 2018, it was said that more would be revealed about Anthem’s gameplay. The trailer shown there hardly differed from what was already shown in 2017.
For the PAX West 2018 gaming festival, BioWare wanted to explain how storytelling in Anthem works. There was a new trailer and a Q&A session with the developers.
New information that aren’t new: The supposedly new information revealed at the events was mostly already known.
It was mentioned again that players would experience the story campaign alone in the hub Fort Tarsis, while in the open world there would be Fortnite-like events for multiplayer. However, this was already long known. The “how” would have rather interested the fans here.
However, the drama was so present and significant that it is still ingrained in the minds of many. Although it has already been confirmed that there will be no loot boxes for Anthem, a bit of distrust remains.
Pancake Effect Andromeda: The BioWare brand actually stands for high-quality single-player RPGs with gripping stories and unforgettable characters. However, Mass Effect Andromeda had silly animations and facial expressions of a half-baked pancake. The game long embodied a joke on the internet and also failed to meet many expectations in storytelling.
Here, fans are being cautious towards the publisher and developer, wanting to first see what is ultimately delivered.
Not everyone is skeptical
The interest in Anthem is high: Even though skeptical remarks towards Anthem, BioWare, and EA are often encountered, players are indeed curious. It would hardly be possible otherwise for the world to gaze at the producer Darrah’s Twitter account and share and discuss every little info tidbit.
The ideas that BioWare presents for Anthem find considerable resonance. Even with us on MeinMMO. For example, our readers say…
… Psycheater: “Drawing inspiration from Fortnite for the events doesn’t seem wrong to me. I have absolutely nothing to do with the game, and even I notice that there is something new going on every week. If Anthem can achieve something like that: Respect.”
… Setias: “You all should just wait and see what happens and not spread bad vibes beforehand. We can only hope, and the ideas [from Anthem] aren’t so bad.”
… Gothsta: “[…] If Bioware can deliver on their promise of ongoing content, the ‘events’ may well turn out to be mere fillers and thus positively impact the entire game.”
Is the skepticism justified? Anthem will be a full-price title, and the standard version is already around 70 euros. We can certainly carry a healthy portion of skepticism with us.
However, overall there is still too little known about Anthem to allow skepticism to turn into a negative mood directly. That would not be justified at this point, and a judgment can ultimately only be formed once Anthem is out and the first players can truly feel the gameplay and the story.
So far, Anthem makes a solid impression for an MMO shooter. If BioWare can actually avoid content drought through storytelling like in Fortnite and additionally deliver a gripping main campaign, a great game with high long-term motivation could be on the horizon for us. The gameplay must then be experienced individually.
More and more players are likely to gradually unlock the new allied races in World of Warcraft. For them, there is good news: The heritage armors are available earlier.
The newest allied races in Battle for Azeroth are the Dark Iron Dwarves for the Alliance and the Mag’har Orcs for the Horde. Along with the new races, players can also unlock cosmetic items.
Allied Races – a major feature in Battle for Azeroth.
Heritage Armor for Allied Races starting at Level 110
One of the special contents for allied races are the heritage armors. These “heritage armor” visually reflect the heritage of the races and can be transmogged for the corresponding race.
How does one obtain the armor? To obtain it, players must have played the Dark Iron Dwarves and the Mag’har at level 120 – without a boost. Heirlooms are allowed. For the other races like Void Elves or Nightborne level 110 was sufficient.
On reddit however, images of players have emerged showing that already characters at level 110 are receiving the achievement for unlocking. However, there has not yet been a mention in the official hotfixes. It could be a covert change.
Players were upset: Why Blizzard decided to lower the level requirement is still unclear. However, some players had expressed their concerns in the forums.
There were isolated posts in which players criticized that Dark Iron Dwarves and Mag’har had to play until level 120 for their armors, while other allied races only needed to level to 110, which would be much faster.
If you want to earn the armors and add the new mounts to your collection, you need to unlock the Dark Iron Dwarves and Mag’har Orcs first.
Dark Iron Dwarves: To access the Dark Iron Dwarves, you need a revered reputation with the 7th Legion and the achievement “Ready for War.” How to unlock the Dark Iron Dwarves in detail can be found in our announcement.
Mag’har Orcs: For the Mag’har Orcs, you also need the achievement “Ready for War” and a revered reputation – but with the Oathbound. You can read the details in our post.
In Destiny 2, you should bring a tribute to the oracle machine for an audience with the queen. How to do that, you can find out here.
What is the audience with the queen about? This audience is a weekly bounty from Petra Venj in the Dreaming City that can be taken on in the first week of Forsaken. Once you accept it, you have 7 days to complete it.
What benefit do I get from it? The bounty “Audience of the Queen” allows Dark Fragments and Legendary Gear to drop from the loot pool of the Dreaming City. The loot is not “Powerful Gear” – it will not advance you beyond 500 Power Level. However, it grants you access to exclusive city loot.

To master the audience with the queen, you need to complete several steps.
Step 1:Reach the Dreaming City, grab the bounty from Petra, and level up your character as high as possible in the meantime. Because you must succeed in the Blind Well, an endgame activity with a recommended power level of 550.
How to get the tribute
Step 2: For the tribute needed for the audience, you must first master another weekly bounty from Petra Venj. This is called “Gate Between Worlds” and has the tribute as a reward – however, the bounty costs a hefty 40 Dark Fragments.
How to obtain Dark Fragments: You can quickly obtain these items by completing daily bounties from Petra. For that, you need to defeat enemies in the Dreaming City, collect Baryon branches, master public events, or explore Lost Sectors. Dark Fragments can also be obtained from other sources, such as “Korsarin out of action”.
Step 3: Collect 40 Dark Fragments, buy the bounty “Gate Between Worlds” with them, and dive into the Blind Well.
Step 4: For the Blind Well, you will need Light Charges, which are available in levels 1, 2, and 3. Light Charges drop randomly from enemies or from chests in the Dreaming City or can be bought from Petra in exchange for Dark Fragments. Obtain such Light Charges to start challenges in the Blind Well.
Receive the tribute: You must now charge the Well to 100%, as stated in the bounty description.
A level-1 Light Charge gives you +10% upon completion.
A level-2 Light Charge gives you +20% upon completion.
A level-3 Light Charge gives you +30% upon completion.
Once you have played enough Blind Well challenges and reached 100%, you will receive the tribute for the oracle. Deliver the bounty in your inventory.
Tip: You do not have to obtain all Light Charges yourself. Check if other guardians have started the Blind Well and join them. The Blind Well is an open group activity similar to the Escalation Protocol or the Court of Oryx, which you can play together with random guardians.
Oracle Entrance
Where is the oracle in the Dreaming City?
Submit the tribute: Now you just have to present the tribute at the oracle. Fly to the spawn point in the Dreaming City and head towards the oracle. Always keep to the left, fly over a few cliffs, and go straight towards the tower where the oracle is located. You can present the tribute on one of the upper levels in the oracle.
Andy Edition will lead you in the video from the spawn point to the oracle (3:16):

The Companion App for Final Fantasy XIV was released earlier this month and the premium version recently went live as well. Producer Naoki Yoshida discussed in our interview what additional features he would like to add in the future.
What is the Companion App? The companion app for FFXIV utilizes the game account and provides players with features on their smartphones, such as chatting with their friends or reorganizing their inventory and shopping.
Director Yoshida wants to build the app step-by-step, just as has been done with the content of Final Fantasy XIV so far.
Yoshida’s Wishlist for the App
“Quality of Life” updates are a priority: “We want to split future updates into two major parts, as their priorities are different. There are some very urgent areas and features we need to work on now. But there are also others that cover more diverse services.”
The first feature we absolutely need to work on is the Android version of the app – specifically its chat feature. When chatting, it feels much slower than other chat apps. There is a certain delay.
The second item on the list is the update of the calendar for the iOS version. Currently, the calendars of your iPhones and the companion app are not connected. We want to change that.
The third issue would be the ability to split items in your inventory into multiple stacks, which is currently not possible in the app. This feature is bound to the game servers and still needs to be adjusted. Since it relates to items and possibly their loss or duplication, I want to ensure that everything works correctly.
Another feature we want to implement would be the option to send your helpers through the app to bring you items. The idea that came up in the team was to create a special area for the helpers to go to when you send them through the app.
Another feature would be a timer for gatherers, letting players know when they can harvest something.
“These ‘Quality of Life’ features are something I would like to have. Right now, we are only making small steps, but we will grow just as we did with the actual game. So please keep an eye out for announcements that will come in the future.”
Everyone Wants the In-Game Chat Feature
Is direct chat with players in FFXIV feasible on the app? “As for the chat feature with people directly in the game – the amount of traffic between the app and the game server would massively increase. The ability to talk to players in-game means that the player would receive an extreme number of messages that may not even be directed at them. For example, someone could say about you, ‘Wow, I hate that guy!’ and you would still see it.
If there is a specific feature we can implement, it would be an in-game notification. You would receive an in-game message saying, ‘Hey, you have mail. Can you check your phone?’ It would be more of a signal to let your friends know to check their app.”
“However, I am somewhat concerned that players might not log into the game anymore because they can chat with each other through the app. One of the reasons we created the game, Eorzea, and Hydaelyn is that we want players to have fun and interact with others. We do not want to take that away from the game.”

Guild Wars 2 has just run into a problem because of Bubble Tea. The culprit is a promotion with the US bubble tea chain “Kung Fu Tea.” They wanted to offer a special Guild Wars drink and provide in-game goodies via an app. None of that worked as intended.
What does Guild Wars 2 have to do with Bubble Tea? Developer ArenaNet has made a promotional deal with the US chain “Kung Fu Tea.”
From September 1, 2018, there was supposed to be a special drink called “Elder Dragon Dreamy Delight”, a Guild Wars version of the existing product “Cocoa Cream Wow”.
In-game goodies for app users: In addition to the tea, there was supposed to be the possibility to register on the Kung Fu Tea app and link social media accounts there. For this, an in-game item pack was promised.
The pack was supposed to contain a unique armor set, an 18-slot inventory box, and 10 experience boosters.
Actually not a bad deal for Guild Wars and bubble tea fans, right?
Hey, where is my Bubble Tea?
No tea for Guild Wars fans: Unfortunately, a lot went wrong with the promotion. As reported by MassivelyOP, even after repeated visits to various Kung Fu Tea locations on launch day and thereafter, one could not get an “Elder Dragon Dreamy Delight”.
According to Kung Fu Tea, the promotion has apparently been postponed.
Hey, where is my item pack?
Item pack falls flat: The same applied to the item pack for app users. There was nothing to be had here either.
The reason was probably the high influx that overloaded the servers. And then, a massive amount of malicious bots and scripts seemingly attacked the Kung Fu Tea site.
Item action is on hold: Since they couldn’t handle the situation, Kung Fu Tea has now put the app action with the in-game goodies on hold.
No items for Europe: So there is no tea and no codes. This irritated some players, but then it was revealed that the whole action was only valid in the USA. Players from the EU and the rest of the world could never get the items anyway.
Spicy detail: Players from Europe could very well register on the app and provide their data. That the action would not take place in Europe at all was only revealed later in an update of the original press release.
Fans suspect a bait-and-switch offer: According to many affected, this is a typical bait-and-switch offer, where one is lured with attractive rewards and ends up getting nothing.
According to MassivelyOP, ArenaNet has not yet commented on the matter. Thanks to GDPR, however, Europeans can insist that their data be deleted by Kung Fu Tea.
EA certainly didn’t plan this: The profanity filter of Battlefield 5 encourages players to come up with more creative insults. The filter censors completely ordinary words.
In Battlefield V, there is a chat filter that censors certain words and replaces them with asterisks. Such filters are supposed to curb toxicity in games and prevent insults. However, this doesn’t quite work in Battlefield 5.
“White man” is a profanity
Chat filter filters everyday words: There was a rumor online for a while that the profanity filter in Battlefield V actually censors everyday words like “white man”. The streamer and YouTuber AngryJoe tested this.
In his video, he types “white man” in the chat of Battlefield V: The displayed result consists of asterisks. For testing, he also tried “brown man” and “asian man”, which both displayed normally.

Reddit seeks more filtered words:On Reddit, the video caused quite a stir. Over 2000 comments were made, mocking the filter.
Additional words were also found that are apparently censored, which actually have no negative connotation, including:
Titanfall
dlc (while “free dlc” is supposed to work)
eat salad
lag
nuts
Community now insults more creatively, not less
The reactions to the filter are largely cynical. Battlefield V is already being compared to games for children like Toontown and Club Penguin on Reddit, and some users are upset that the filter is stricter than Roblox’s.
Reddit is making fun: Reddit users have even turned the filter into a sort of game. Instead of adhering to EA’s guidelines, they try to creatively circumvent the profanity filter.
Obscure insults like “taking a toaster bath” or “committing a rope swing” for wishes of death against each other emerge.
Things like “consuming intimate apparel” also pop up.
As Battlefield 5 is still in development, such bugs can occur and are not intended. However, reports are important to bring attention to such issues.
Why is the reaction so cynical?
Criticism of women in the game: Battlefield V has been criticized early on for trying to appeal to a group disparagingly referred to as “Social Justice Warriors”. Some players feel that these so-called “SJWs” are attempting to enforce political correctness in games.
The reason for the uproar is the appearance of women with prosthetics in Battlefield V, who, according to the concerned fans, have no place in a historical war game. Discussions about historical accuracy have already been suppressed on Reddit.
Women in Battlefield V – a reason for criticism among some players.
EA remains firm: EA has decided to keep women as part of Battlefield V despite the harsh criticism. The EA chief specifically stated: “Deal with it or don’t play it.”
The resurfaced video and the discussion on Reddit, however, reignite the debate and bring new points of criticism. Many critics feel validated.
In FIFA 19, the ratings of the top 40-31 best players have been revealed. New player stats for James Rodriguez and Gareth Bale are known.
More ratings from the best players: In FIFA 19, the big “Top-100-Countdown” is underway. Here, the best players in FIFA 19 are gradually revealed by showing the ratings and stats that the footballers will have in the Ultimate Team mode, in FUT 19,.
Today, on September 9th, the next 10 player ratings have been posted online – the top 40 to 31. EA is slowing down the pace and now releases in batches of 10.
The highest player ratings in FUT 19 – Top 40 to 31
Rank 40: Lorenzo Insigne (88)
Rank 39: Samir Handanovic (88)
Rank 38: Gonzalo Higuain (88)
Rank 37: Casemiro (88)
Rank 36: James Rodriguez (88)
Rank 35: Gianluigi Buffon (88)
Rank 34: Christian Eriksen (88)
Rank 33: Paul Pogba (88)
Rank 32: Sergio Busquets (88)
Rank 31: Gareth Bale (88)
From a Bundesliga perspective, Rodriguez is the highlight of these 10 players: The Bayern player rises by 2 points in overall rating to 88 in FIFA 19 compared to FIFA 18. His pace has been significantly reduced from 76 to 72, but shooting, passing, dribbling, and defending have greatly increased. Physicality has dropped by one point.
Every year before the release of a new FIFA title, EA Sports makes extensive changes to player values, the ratings.
What is the benefit of the ratings? The ratings generally determine how well a player performs on the pitch. A key indicator is the overall rating, but individual stats such as pace or shot power are also crucial when selecting players for your team.
In brief: The best players have the highest ratings in FIFA 19.
The importance for FUT 19: For the Ultimate Team mode, the player ratings determined by EA at the FIFA 19 release are particularly interesting, as these are applied to the standard cards of the players. The standard cards remain unchanged for months, if not the whole year, and significantly influence the FUT experience.
Therefore, many fans eagerly look forward to the ratings of the best players and the stats of their favorite players in FIFA 19 in advance. After all, they will spend a lot of time with these players in-game.
Fortnite: Battle Royale (PC, PS4, iOS, Android, Switch & Xbox One) is set to entertain millions of players in online matches soon. The battle royale shooter is set to appear as Monopoly. However, the board game version is supposed to be more than just Monopoly with Tilted Towers and Shifty Shafts.
This is what Fortnite Monopoly looks like: Via Twitter, Epic Creative Director Donald Mustard announced that there will soon be a Fortnite version of the popular board game Monopoly. Instead of streets and community spaces, there will be well-known Fortnite locations like Tilted Towers, Shifty Shafts, Paradise Palms, and Flush Factory.

As tokens, you have stylish cardboard cutouts of Fortnite heroes like the Banshee, Skull Trooper, and Omega.
More than just a Fortnite copy of the standard game
What differentiates Fortnite Monopoly from the original? In regular Monopoly, you buy properties and try to bankrupt your opponents with exorbitant rents. This, of course, does not fit with Fortnite. Therefore, this version is money-free.
How does Monopoly work without money? Instead of money, players have life points. The goal is to reduce them and be the last one standing. You set traps, build fortifications on your properties, and use the Dance Bomb. There is an extra die to perform such effects and inflict damage on enemies.
The properties are not bought, by the way. Whoever is first to land on one owns it and can immediately build things. The only elements left from the original game are the corner spaces “Free Parking”, “Go to Jail”, and “Go”.
Release and Fun Fact
When is Fortnite Monopoly coming out? According to Donald Mustard, the colorful Fortnite Monopoly is set to be released on Monday, October 1, 2018.
Fun Fact: Monopoly was originally designed by socialists and intended as a teaching tool against capitalism and monopolization. The game is deliberately set up to be unfair and the winner is often clear early on, yet the game drags on for a long time, generating more negative feelings as it progresses.
There are also Monopoly versions of various games, including World of Warcraft.
