Blizzard enforces new rules against some popular apps that Overwatch players like to use. From now on, these apps are clearly prohibited.
Anyone using certain additional apps to enhance their Overwatch experience should now quickly say goodbye to them. Blizzard is issuing warnings and will shortly impose penalties.
Which apps are affected? Specifically, it concerns the two apps “Pursuit” and “Visor”. Visor creates an in-game overlay and provides real-time information about how the player is performing. Is he dying too often? Is he often alone? Is the team playing too defensively? Visor always has advice ready and analyzes the matches in real-time.
Pursuit, on the other hand, focuses more on analyzing the game after it has ended. This allows players to learn from their mistakes.
What penalties are threatened? Those using these apps have received a warning from Blizzard in the past few days. In the future, users of these apps will be banned, effectively disabling their account. At least everyone still has a chance to deactivate these apps.
What does Blizzard say? In the official Overwatch forum, Community Manager Tom Powers stated:
“Any third-party application that affects the integrity of ranked games in Overwatch is prohibited. Examples include applications that provide the user with additional information, such as the position of opponents, the health points of opponents, the cooldowns of enemy abilities, and the ultimate charge status.”
Players show confusion: Many players criticize that both apps do not provide a real advantage and do nothing different than apps in Hearthstone. They keep an eye on the game and provide information about what just happened.
In the case of Pursuit, it is even limited to information given only after the match. So, an analysis of the past game. Why Blizzard is going against this is incomprehensible to many players.
Did you know the two apps and have you used them before? Do you think it is right for Blizzard to take action against this?
The online mode of Red Dead Redemption 2 is currently being hotly debated. An analyst believes it works like in GTA and will bring in a lot of money.
After the announcement of Red Dead Online, many drew connections to GTA Online. It seems that Rockstar wants to seek the great success of the online mode of GTA 5 also in the western game. This happens through regular updates that continuously give players new incentives to return to the game.
An analyst explains what he expects from Red Dead Online and how it will likely compare to its GTA counterpart.
Red Dead Online with revenues like LoL, not like GTA
The online mode of Grand Theft Auto has been extremely successful in recent years and regularly brought in a lot of money for Rockstar Games. In 2017, GTA 5 even managed to dethrone Destiny 2 as the leading game in digital revenue.
Microtransactions? So far, there are no details on how Red Dead Online will be monetized. However, it is assumed that there will be microtransactions.
Analyst’s assessments: Analyst Michael Pachter from Wedbush Securities also believes in microtransactions. In an interview with GameSpot, he stated that Red Dead Redemption 2 will be a success from a monetary perspective. However, it will not reach GTA’s level. Pachter believes:
RDR 2 could bring in about $10 per user each year
If 25 million copies are sold, it could have 10-15 million active users each month
That would mean an annual income of up to $150 million
In addition, there are the $60 or more that each player pays for the game
Even if each player only spent $10 a year, the total amount from all players would be significant.
This is just a small part of what GTA Online brings in, but still a huge sum. Pachter says:
I believe RDR Online will definitely be successful. Revenues from GTA Online reached $125 million in the December quarter and are around $100 million in the other three quarters. So GTA Online makes about $400-500 million a year, five years after its actual release.
Same revenues as LoL or Overwatch: He does not believe that Red Dead Online will reach the revenues of GTA Online. However, he considers $10 per user likely, which is roughly what is seen with Hearthstone, Overwatch, League of Legends, and Fortnite.
Why Red Dead Online brings in less money: According to Pachter, the setting in the Wild West is not as suitable for microtransactions. It’s “not as irresistible as flying to a nuclear bomb facility in your helicopter, financed by your meth lab.”
How do microtransactions work in GTA Online? Players can purchase in-game currency for GTA Online with real money and use it to acquire cars, helicopters, buildings, and more within the online world.
It is clear that microtransactions are important for online games. Activision Blizzard generated $4 billion in revenues from microtransactions in 2017.
Today, the Autumn Festival is being celebrated in Monster Hunter: World on PS4 and Xbox One. Capcom has released a stylish video for the event.
What is the Autumn Event? In the world of Monster Hunter: World, things are about to get spooky. Hunters are expecting many pumpkin decorations, autumn outfits, and other event items as well as new quests in Astera. Additionally, many event quests will make a return to the game for a limited time. Players will be able to face the extreme Behemoth and Kulve Taroth again and grab their rewards.
However, the event will only take place in the PS4 and Xbox versions of the game, while fans on Steam will unfortunately have to wait a bit longer.
How long does the event last? The Autumn Festival runs from September 21 to October 4.
As the year comes to an end, we are still expecting some supposed gaming highlights. What game are you looking forward to this year?
The year 2018 is slowly but surely coming to an end, yet there are still some major titles waiting for us: Red Dead Redemption 2, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, Fallout 76, Battlefield 5, and FIFA 19. Which game are you eagerly waiting for? Or have you already taken a look at the highlights of 2019?
Which game would you like to play?
Red Dead Redemption 2: The Wild West epic continues on October 26, 2018. This time, there will also be an online mode based on GTA Online. The online part of RDR 2 will launch in November and is intended to offer content for both group and solo players.
As a funny feature, tests showed that you could “drift” with the horses in the game. Most people probably know this term more from motorsport.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4:Black Ops 4 will hit on October 12 and brings along a popular mode. “Blackout” is a battle royale mode that captivated players even in its beta. Some fans loved “Blackout” so much that they even initiated a petition to extend the beta.
Fallout 76: With the next game in the Fallout series, Bethesda is also focusing on multiplayer. Fallout 76 will be released on November 14 and for the first time allows players to traverse the wasteland as a group. A total of 24 players per map are said to be able to roam, and there will be no human NPCs.
Battlefield 5:Battlefield 5 was recently delayed and is now set to release on November 20. Like its Call of Duty counterpart, the latest installment of the Battlefield series will also feature a battle royale mode. In “Firestorm,” players must fend off not only their human opponents and the ever-shrinking map on foot. Instead, they will drive across the map with tanks and other powerful vehicles.
FIFA 19:FIFA 19 will release on September 28 and bring along plenty of new features. Among other things, players can kick like in the 60s: The continuation of the story mode “The Journey” deals among other things with the grandfather of protagonist Alex Hunter.

A little boy was allowed to play Fallout 76 before its release. However, the reason is a sad one, as the young fan probably doesn’t have much time left to live. Therefore, Bethesda made a special gift for him.
There are many examples of how hard life can be. This is also the case with little Wes. He suffers from neuroblastoma, a type of cancer that primarily occurs in children and adolescents.
When Wes realized that he would probably not experience the release of Fallout 76, Bethesda made him a special gift.
This is Wes: Wes was born on December 21, 2005, in Newport News, a small town in Virginia, USA. His parents describe him as an intelligent, cheerful boy with strong faith.
He loves Star Wars and everything related to animals and bugs. He is also a big Fallout fan. He is now also a big brother to two younger siblings.
About seven years ago, Wes was diagnosed with neuroblastoma. Since then, he has been fighting cancer. Everything he has gone through has been documented in the Facebook group Wes’ Fight Against Neuroblastoma by his family, especially his father. The group serves to collect donations for treatment and for other children with cancer.
My son is someone who inspires and motivates others, even when the circumstances are against him. […] even before he got sick. […] Despite the needles, transfusions, chemo, and medications, he keeps moving forward.
Since 2011, the group has regularly published pictures and status updates about the boy’s condition. The progression of the illness is documented in detail. This shows the hardships Wes and his family endure, but also that they remain brave and optimistic.
A Type of Cancer That Primarily Affects Children and Adolescents
What is neuroblastoma? This is a form of cancer that leads to the formation of several malignant tumors, mostly in the adrenal medulla and in the nerve plexus of the spine, the sympathetic chain. If this is affected, tumors can occur in the abdominal, pelvic, thoracic, and neck regions.
In the worst case, paralysis can occur. There are also different stages of the disease.
Wes was diagnosed with stage four, which corresponds to the most dangerous form of neuroblastoma.
How common is this? About 7% of cancers in childhood and adolescence are neuroblastomas. According to the German Childhood Cancer Register, about 130 children and adolescents are diagnosed with neuroblastoma each year, roughly one in 100,000 children under 15 is affected.
For seven years, Wes has been fighting this disease until the doctors recently decided to stop treatment.
Ultimately, Treatment Is Stopped
After numerous treatments, therapies, and surgeries, Wes has now had a total of four relapses. The doctors apparently see no way to save him; his body is too weakened by cancer.
On September 15, it was announced in the Facebook group that treatment would be stopped. Further therapy would only cause additional pain. Wes and his family were devastated by this news.
Wes says he is no longer angry or sad. He still finds ways to use his humor and make us smile when we need it.
A few days later, Wes realized that he might not experience the release of Fallout 76. As a big Fallout fan, he was downhearted about this. However, his story even reached Bethesda.
Bethesda Sends Power Edition of Fallout 76 with Community Manager
On September 20, another post was published in the Facebook group. In this, a happy Wes is seen with the power helmet that belongs to the special edition of Fallout 76. Next to him sits a man wearing a Fallout shirt.
Who is sitting with Wes? Bethesda learned of Wes’ touching story and quickly sent Matt Grandstaff, Community Manager, to Wes’s home. He brought with him the prototype of the Power Edition of Fallout 76.
This edition includes a power helmet, a Pip-Boy, and other goodies. The power helmet was signed by Todd Howard, head developer at Bethesda Studios. The Power Edition is already sold out, so it was no longer possible to obtain a copy from official retailers. But that was not all.
Wes was even allowed to play an early version of Fallout 76, nearly two months before the official release on November 14. Bethesda’s Grandstaff spent the day with Wes and watched him try out the online RPG.
Although he was not allowed to keep the game because it was not finished, Wes was very happy about it. This made Wes the first person outside of Bethesda to play Fallout 76.
Community Reactions:
In the Facebook group, there is great empathy for Wes and Bethesda receives much praise for the action.
On reddit, the reactions are sometimes quite cynical. One user asks whether the boy should really be playing Fallout, as he is technically too young.
Another notes, however, that if Wes was allowed to be the first to play Fallout 76, he is now the first inhabitant of Vault 76 to venture into the wasteland. In the Fallout history, he is thus also the first person to re-enter the wasteland after the fallout.
Will this be officially included in the canon?
In the meantime, Wes’s father continues to search for possible treatment options and still asks for donations. He does not want to give up on his son. You can also donate through this link.

The Western MMO Red Dead Redemption 2 (PlayStation 4, Xbox One) fully focuses on realism. This is particularly noticeable in the details of the horse models in the game. More specifically, in the genitalia of the faithful steeds. They serve as a sort of thermometer.
What’s up with the horse testicles? Rockstar, the developers of Red Dead Redemption 2, paid attention to many details with the horses in the game. It starts with the fact that the steeds in the Wild West MMO – unlike in most games – are not all castrated geldings.
Instead, the stallions in the game clearly show their testicles. But that’s not all. When it gets cold, the horse’s testicles shrink, just like real horses (and most other male mammals). So, you just have to look between your steed’s hind legs to know what the weather is like in the game.
Working digestion in horses: Additionally, horses have a metabolism and regularly drop horse apples. Furthermore, you have various horse breeds to choose from and can perform all kinds of stunts and tricks with them.
Your friend, the horse: Those who spend a lot of time with their horse can also build a deeper friendship with the animal and become a better rider. This way, you can teach the horse tricks and perform better stunts.
You cannot kill your horse yourself: However, Rockstar has apparently set aside realism in one matter. The player’s own horse is likely immortal and cannot be shot by the player character. It remains to be seen how this applies to other steeds or if the player’s horse simply shakes off bullets from enemies.

Since last night (September 20), the legendary Mewtwo is appearing in regular 5-star raids at Pokémon GO. The differences from the Mewtwo from EX-Raids are not immediately obvious, we will list them for you.
Right off the bat: Shiny Mewtwo has not yet been spotted by any trainer. Many have been looking forward to the shiny form of the Psychic monster. Whether the shiny form will be unlocked is currently unclear.
What is new? Four significant changes have been made to Mewtwo’s raids. It can now learn three new moves, has over 10,000 CP more than the EX-Raid Mewtwo at 60,450 CP, its catch chance has decreased, and catching this monster now rewards the trainer with five candies instead of three.
Flamethrower: A Flamethrower Mewtwo could better counter your Bug Pokémon, which are effective against the monster, as Fire is effective against Bug.
Ice Beam: This move is effective against your Dragonite or other Dragon Pokémon you may have on your team.
Thunderbolt: The Electric move hits your Gyarados hard, as it has a double weakness to it.
Stronger Ice Attacker than Articuno: These moves can’t do much against top attackers like Tyranitar or Gengar. If your Mewtwo has one of these three moves, it can be among the best attackers of its respective type. Thanks to its high attack value, Mewtwo, according to Pokemon GO Hub, is now even the best Ice attacker in the game, surpassing Articuno.
Mewtwo now has 60,450 CP in a raid. That is over 10,000 CP more than its EX-Raid predecessor. This means that more players are needed to defeat the raid boss. Five very good players are needed, and it should also be feasible with seven “normal” players.
Harder to catch: Once Mewtwo has been defeated, the chance of catching it has unfortunately decreased. Most players caught an EX-Raid Mewtwo, but this Mewtwo is now significantly harder to catch. It is suspected that the usual 2% catch rate is being used, which is also applied to other legendary monsters. Here, the new silver Nanab Berry is recommended. Higher catch chance plus double candies. Those who prioritize safety when catching should stick with the golden Razz Berry.
Five Candies Instead of Three
Anyone who manages to catch Mewtwo will be pleased with more candies. There are now five candies for catching it instead of the usual three candies. With a Nanab Berry, that would even be ten candies per Mewtwo.
Although it is the same Pokémon as from EX-Raids, much is still different about Mewtwo. What do you think about the changes?
On Facebook, Amazon uploaded short clips (Vva Facebook New World), but they show even less than the current one.
What is special about the video? The video aims to convey the atmosphere that you will experience in New World, especially when night falls.
In the darkness, supernatural creatures appear, proving to be particularly strong opponents. The video highlights this transition to a ghostly and eerie atmosphere as night approaches.
PvP plays an important role, as does the siege of forts that you build yourself. Crafting is also significant. There are currently no quests planned. The MMORPG is currently in an initial alpha phase, for which invitations have already been sent out.
In Red Dead Redemption 2 , the rumor is circulating that the game will “absolutely never” come to PC. This has caused fans to implode on reddit. It is likely a translation error.
This is what happened: The Italian site “multiplayer.it” hosted a stream from the Tokyo Game Show 2018 (via Twitch). The TGS is the major gaming fair in Japan, running from September 20 to 23.
During the stream, the Italians interviewed an employee from RockStar. Topic: Red Dead Redemption 2. When asked, “Is it coming to PC?”, the employee reportedly answered, “No, absolutely not.”
This translation spread across the internet.
Torches and pitchforks out: Within hours, there was a large thread on reddit with the general tenor: “Greetings to you too, Rockstar.”
Upset fans correctly speculated that Rockstar is avoiding PC because they fear cheats and mods. The thread exploded within a short time to nearly 28,000 upvotes and 2,500 comments.
The mood was quite tense.
This actually happened: Apparently, “No, absolutely not” is a translation error.
The Rockstar man gave a pure PR answer in the stream to the question “Is it coming to PC?” saying, “No, for PS4 and Xbox One.”
He simply repeated the “obvious” and “official” without saying anything about the future of the game or Rockstar’s plans.
This actual answer is far from a “No, absolutely not” and only describes the current state.

The misunderstanding was clarified by a Rockstar employee. He stated that even the interviewer thought it was a PR answer.
This is how the fans are reacting: Even after the clarification of the translation error, the fans are still not calmed down. They say this new answer doesn’t mean that Red Dead Redemption 2 is actually coming to PC.
So what is the situation regarding the PC release now? There is no official announcement from Rockstar. Fans have assumed so far that Red Dead Redemption 2 will be released for PC some time later – just like with other titles from Rockstar. That is still possible now.
What’s behind it: PC fans are dissatisfied that they are being kept in suspense regarding Red Dead Redemption 2. They suspect that the developer wants to boost sales of the game on PS4 and Xbox One by concealing PC plans.
It is assumed that RDR2, like GTA Online, will “eventually” come to PC. However, there is no firm confirmation. This makes fans nervous.
The grenade launcher Edge Transit drops in Destiny 2 so frequently that it has become a running gag. Bungie has noticed this and promises a fix.
The problem with Edge Transit: This new grenade launcher has an excessively high drop rate. Just a few days after the launch of the Forsaken expansion, players noticed that they are inundated with Edge Transit. Other power weapons, on the other hand, drop much less frequently.
How the community reacts: Initially annoyed, then with humor. After several complaint threads in the reddit forum dealt with the drop rate of Edge Transit, players began to take the whole thing humorously. They created funny images or provided amusing gameplay suggestions, like a powerful weapon that uses “Edge Transit grenade launcher” as ammunition.
Bungie: Edge Transit drops more frequently than intended
This is what Bungie says: Since the Forsaken launch, they have received player feedback that the drop rate of this grenade launcher is too aggressive.
Investigations have now confirmed that Edge Transit drops more frequently than intended. There is indeed a problem. Bungie is now working on a fix for the aggressive drop rate that will appear in a future update.
When the fix will be released is still unknown. It also remains to be seen how much the drop rate will be reduced. Until then, the community can continue to create creative and funny memes about this intrusive weapon.
What about the powerful gear? Yesterday we reported that there was recently a problem with the powerful gear. This sometimes delivers items with too low power levels. For Bungie, this is a high-priority issue.
Bungie now reports that the problem has been identified and will be addressed in a future update. Possibly simultaneously with the drop rate problem of Edge Transit.
The sixth Guild Wars 2 raid named “Mythwright’s Risk” has been in the game since the patch on Tuesday. Although the first guilds have already defeated all bosses in normal and challenge mode, the feedback on the raid has been extremely positive.
What can you expect in the new raid? In “Mythwright’s Risk”, the djinn Zommoros invites us to the Mystic Forge. The entire environment revolves around the treasures that players regularly throw into the mentioned forge. Accordingly, the area is designed in bright and golden tones.
In total, there are three very different boss fights. The first boss is called Conjured Merge and is reminiscent in appearance and combat of the Festering Construct. Players have already encountered this boss in the third raid.
In the second boss fight, we are faced with two Largos. These rare creatures pack a punch and are masters of the assassination art. The fight is very dynamic and takes place on small platforms. Now and then, you have to glide from one platform to the next. AoE fields try to push you off the battlefield regularly.
The djinn Qadim is the third and final opponent in the raid. Here too, the battle takes place on a large platform, and especially the AoE effects need to be kept in mind.
What rewards do you get? As rewards, six new weapon skins and four new miniatures waiting in the new raid, which are based on the bosses.
However, the highlight is a new throne that can be unlocked in the wardrobe and placed anywhere. The luxurious pile of gold is the reward for completing all achievements in the new raid.
Raid group around the streamer MightyTeapot with their new thrones (Source)
Raids and Community Feedback
How hard is the raid? Already on the first evening, some guilds had defeated all three bosses in normal mode. The first even tried their hand at the challenge mode.
This was first completed by the German raid guild Lucky Noobs on Thursday night, securing the unofficial World First. However, this doesn’t receive much attention in Guild Wars 2. Guildnews reported on it.
Compared to the other raids, Mythwright’s Risk appears to be quite easy. The last boss Dhuum from the previous raid “Hall of Chains” managed to hold out in normal mode for a few days.
That’s why the raid is still well received: Although the raid is thus easier than its predecessors, it is particularly well-received by hardcore guilds in the Guild Wars subreddit. The fun mechanics are highlighted in particular.
Unfortunate coincidences that could lead to frustration for players have also been reduced as much as possible, according to these players.
The new raid was extremely important for the community: Almost 10 months have passed since the last raid release, and many players were disappointed with ArenaNet. After the “Hall of Chains” in November 2017, the developers promised a faster pace than in the past.
However, they have not been able to keep these promises so far. We are eager to see when the next raid will be released.
There are actually serious discussions about a series for Diablo for the Netflix channel. Now it is clear: If the animated TV series comes, it will not be children’s television.
What happened? For about 3 weeks, rumors have been circulating that the Netflix channel is planning an animated TV series based on the cult game series Diablo. These rumors have now gained new traction.
Screenwriter confirms negotiations: As reported by Inven, screenwriter Andrew Cosby has confirmed in a series of tweets that he is in “final talks” with Netflix to lead a new animated series about Diablo. He is doing this for Activision and Netflix. He is very excited and prays to the “High Heavens” that the project goes through.
If the project comes to fruition, he would write for the series and work as a “showrunner.” In American TV production, a “showrunner” is the person primarily responsible for a series, overseeing the plot lines and determining the narrative direction.
Diablo would undoubtedly be Rated R on Netflix
The new information: Cosby says that if the series does come, it will undoubtedly receive an “R” rating. This corresponds to a “NC-17” classification. It is intended for “not without adult supervision.”
This is Andrew Cosby: Cosby is the co-creator of the sci-fi series “Eureka” and he is the screenwriter of the Hellboy reboot.
Are there doubts?
The tweet with the new information from Cosby has since been deleted.
And it is still unclear whether the deal will go through with Netflix.
Fans have been expecting either a new expansion for Diablo or a new game in the direction of Diablo 4 for years. Perhaps a TV series on Netflix fits well into those plans.
It is known that Blizzard is working on new projects:
With Patch 8.1, the island expeditions of World of Warcraft are set to become more exciting. We take a look at what Blizzard wants to change.
Island expeditions in World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth divide the player base into two camps. Some enjoy the expeditions, while others find them too monotonous and boring. To convince the skeptics, Blizzard wants to make some changes to the island expeditions with Patch 8.1 Tides of Vengeance.
New spawn behavior on the islands: There will be more “open spaces” on the islands. This means that enemies will more often cluster in small camps, and there will be opportunities to slip by unseen between these camps. This is intended to help alleviate the issue of players dragging an enemy with them every five meters that they didn’t want to engage.
Completely new islands: With Patch 8.1, there will be two entirely new islands, Jorundall and Havenswood. Havenswood will visually resemble Gilneas and will primarily showcase buildings and even parts of a castle. Jorundall sounds more like a region of the Vrykul. This should bring some variety since most islands are otherwise rather “wild and exotic.”
New events: Lastly, there will also be new ways to collect Azerite that are a bit more dynamic and interactive than just running around and gathering enemies.
For example, one can find and capture an Azerite extractor. As long as it is under the control of one’s faction, it continuously gathers Azerite. However, the opposing faction can take over the extractor and secure the bonuses for themselves. One should always check to see if everything is still functioning.
Another example is the “Holdouts.” Here, players must protect an NPC or device from incoming waves of enemies. In PvP mode, this would be the perfect opportunity to annihilate enemies in their position.
Additionally, Hazzikostas also mentioned “general tuning and improvement of the reward system,” but did not provide any specific details.
A new PvP mode called Breakthrough is coming soon to Destiny 2. It brings fresh PvP maps.
When does Breakthrough start? It kicks off on September 25. That’s the upcoming Tuesday. The mode will be available at the weekly reset at 7 PM.
How to start your Breakthrough: In the Destiny week starting September 25, Breakthrough will be the new mode in the Weekly PvP playlist (currently, this is the Iron Banner). You will find it in the Crucible overview for direct selection. Starting October 2, Breakthrough will be added to the Competitive Playlist.
Who can play Breakthrough? According to Bungie, the PvP mode will be made available to all Destiny 2 players. However, only owners of Forsaken can select it in private matches.
At the beginning of each round, players fight to capture a central zone.
When the zone is captured, your team releases the breaker.
According to Bungie, there will be an “epic tug-of-war” between the two teams over the zone.
When the breaker is captured, it can be used to attack and hack the enemy team’s vault.
If you successfully hack the enemy vault, you win a round. If you fail to do so within the time limit, you lose.
If you’re in the process of hacking the enemy vault when time runs out, you enter “Sudden Death” until you either crack the vault or your opponents destroy all your progress.
The first team to win three rounds wins the match.
These are all the game rules provided by Bungie. How this will play out in practice, we will find out on September 25.
Maps for Breakthrough
According to Bungie, there are new PvP maps tailored for the Breakthrough mode. They are:
A look at Destiny 2’s Year 2 roadmap shows that this new PvP mode will be the last big event in September 2018. However, in October, there will be a larger event starting, the Festival of the Lost (the Halloween event). What the Guardians can expect is still unknown – but it is said to return with a “twist.”
Will you be participating in Breakthrough next week?

The upcoming Fallout 76 will be a purely online game and will allow group formation. Bethesda has now specified one advantage in more detail.
As the first offshoot of the series, Fallout will be a multiplayer game. This means you will be able to venture into the wasteland in four-player groups and seek resources and equipment together.
Playing in groups should affect you in various ways, aside from the greater firepower from additional players in combat. Leveling up should also be accelerated, as Bethesda explained in detail on Twitter. And what about the sleep function?
In groups, you gain more experience points
A tweet explained how group interaction affects the experience points gained.
How does it work? Every team member who hits an enemy receives bonus XP upon their death. If you land the final blow, you even get a small extra bonus. Thus, you automatically gain additional experience points simply by playing in a group and level up faster.
Can the team benefit in other ways? The team can receive various bonuses through your build. By leveling up Charisma, one of the S.P.E.C.I.A.L attributes, it should be possible to equip special perk cards that provide advantages to your group.
These allow you, for example, to revive team members with alcohol, heal your group by using a Stimpak, or amplify their positive mutations.
What is the purpose of the sleep function in Fallout 76 when it’s no longer possible to pass in-game time by waiting and sleeping?
Is sleeping worth it? According to Pete Hines, players must decide for themselves whether the bonuses they receive for a well-rested character are worth it.

Rockstar has introduced a first-person camera to first testers for Red Dead Redemption 2.
First Person right at launch: In Red Dead Redemption 2, you can choose whether you prefer to play in first or third person. The feature to switch the camera to first person is expected to be available right at the launch of RDR 2.
Play Red Dead Redemption 2 in First Person
Easy to switch: The option to change the camera perspective should be easy to find. You just need to tap the touchpad on your PlayStation 4 controller and switch between five different views:
1st Person
3 variants of 3rd Person
and Cinematic Camera (hold the touchpad).
Switching between views should be possible at any time.
A whole different experience: The first-person camera is said to give the game more depth and allow you to immerse yourself even better in the action. According to Rockstar, the entire game should be playable in first person:
Riding horses should also be possible in first person. Now that it is known that you can drift while riding to take out your opponents, such an action in first person should be quite impressive. Only cutscenes are excluded.
You also face gameplay – but realistic – disadvantages. You won’t see if something comes from the side, like a horse that runs you over. However, you will see details while caring for your horse like swirling dust that impressed Polygon testers with its attention to detail.
The level of detail also convinced vg247 testers. In first person, even small things like details in the environment and the very detailed reload animations of various weapons can be enjoyed.
GTA V as a model: Red Dead Redemption 2 thus once again follows in the footsteps of GTA V. After the announcement of Red Dead Online, an online mode reminiscent of that of GTA V, the feature of the first-person camera is now also being introduced.
However, it took quite a while for GTA V to allow a perspective shift. GTA V was initially only playable in third person. In Red Dead Redemption 2, the first-person camera will be a feature available right at launch.
This exotic melts everything in Destiny 2 that comes into its sights away. The One Thousand Voices is so overpowered that initial comparisons to Gjallarhorn’s status have emerged.
Exotic causes a stir: Recently, videos of a new OP weapon in Destiny 2 have been circulating on social media. It kills Strike bosses with just four shots or takes out entire Guardian teams in PvP with the press of a button. Such an exaggeratedly strong weapon that dominates all Destiny activities hasn’t been seen in years.
This exotic is about: It is the “One Thousand Voices” – the “Eintausend Stimmen”. This is an exotic fusion rifle that is not only extremely rare but also extremely powerful.
Perks and location of One Thousand Voices
How to obtain One Thousand Voices: This exotic drops exclusively in the “Last Wish” raid. If you defeat the final boss, you have a chance at One Thousand Voices. However, the drop is said to be quite rare – many will have to complete the raid multiple times to obtain the weapon.
Per week, you should only have a chance for One Thousand Voices once per character. So you’ll have to rely on luck. Only the World-First team from Last Wish received the weapon guaranteed after the final boss encounter.
What One Thousand Voices can do
One Thousand Voices has exciting stats for a fusion rifle:
The charge time is an incredible 1000, the range is a maximum of 100. Only the handling is really poor – which, given the weapon’s enormous power, is bearable. In-game, you can see that the damage bar of the weapon is fully filled.
These perks make the weapon special:
Eye of Ahamkara:Loading this weapon fires a massive, continuous death ray.
Unexpected Outcomes:The beam of this weapon heats its targets upon impact and explodes after a short delay.
What does this mean concretely? The magazine holds 4 shots. Per “shot,” the weapon briefly discharges a death ray that deals damage on direct hits immediately. Additionally, this death ray, which sticks to enemies and surfaces, deals area damage as the beam explodes after a short delay.
This ray on the ground explodes delayed
This is how One Thousand Voices plays
The “massive death ray,” as it’s officially called, is no exaggeration. Because at all ranges, it kills precisely and also causes area damage. One Thousand Voices melts enemies away in PvP and PvE.
In this video, Mtashed showcases One Thousand Voices. The spot is marked at 1:41 where he eliminates a pseudo-legendary and then a Strike boss (in Nightfall) in just a few seconds:

Better than Sleeper Simulant: According to Mtashed, One Thousand Voices plays similarly to Sleeper Simulant – only with additional area damage. Additionally, no laser beam is fired that must land precisely. Instead, you can first target one enemy and then further targets while the death ray leaves the weapon.
Laser weapon + rocket launcher: You can use One Thousand Voices like a Sleeper Simulant as a precise laser weapon and like a rocket launcher with powerful area damage – all at the same time during one shot. First, take out one enemy and then scatter the death ray around to eliminate more enemies.
The weapon combines basically everything you could wish for from a power weapon. A big boss dies quickly, large groups of enemies can be eliminated in no time, and in PvP, you can land precision shots at all ranges or just spread chaos.
How overpowered One Thousand Voices performs in PvP can be seen in this video from Mtashed where he eliminates multiple Guardian squads at once:

It is cumbersome to handle. You have to aim reasonably well to land precision shots in PvP.
If you fire the death ray at your own feet, you die yourself.
Gjallarhorn comparisons arise
Strong and versatile: One Thousand Voices not only deals devastating damage but is also usable in many situations. According to Mtashed, it is definitely one of the best exotics ever to exist in Destiny. It even reminds of the Gjallarhorn, which still enjoys cult status in the community.
Gjallarhorn feeling: In Year 1 of Destiny 1, Gjallarhorn was the overpowered weapon that every Guardian wanted. Because this rocket launcher was the solution to all problems. There was no need for tactics, just shoot Gjallarhorn at bosses or hordes of enemies – after that, nothing stood anymore. It is similar with One Thousand Voices now.
One Thousand Voices is an extremely rare drop and thus a weapon that only a few Guardians possess right now. With Gjallarhorn, you also had to rely on luck (or on Xur) to obtain it. And all Guardians who didn’t have the weapon hoped to get it soon. The greed of Guardians for power is now repeating itself with One Thousand Voices.
What do the Guardians say? In the comments under the videos, fans write that they hope Bungie will never nerf the weapon. Because they can hardly wait to hold One Thousand Voices in their hands. Comparisons with former OP weapons like Gjallarhorn or the Vex Mythoclast are drawn, and they reminisce together about the old days.
What does Bungie say? We have no statement from Bungie regarding One Thousand Voices. It remains to be seen how dominant the weapon will be in the future when numerous Guardians possess it. In a few weeks, many players should have higher power levels to successfully complete the raid.
Currently, only a handful of Guardians possess the weapon – with which they are now having a good time in Destiny 2.
Deoxys is the new EX-Raid boss in Pokémon GO. This mysterious Pokémon is different from other monsters. We will show you the first details such as battle stats and weaknesses here.
Deoxys is, like Celebi and Mew, one of the mysterious Pokémon in the game. Until now, these could only be obtained through special research. Deoxys now replaces Mewtwo in EX-Raids. The powerful Psychic-type Pokémon actually appears in four different forms. However, Niantic has only announced the Normal form so far.
Similar to Mewtwo: Despite the different forms, Deoxys can be defeated with similar Pokémon like Mewtwo. Therefore, you don’t need to create a new battle team. Its weaknesses are exactly like Mewtwo’s: Dark, Ghost, and Bug.
Deoxys’ different forms
First only one form: The special thing about Deoxys is its Normal, Attack, Defense, and Speed forms. However, Niantic mentioned in their announcement that you can challenge Deoxys in its Normal form. It is still unclear whether and when the other forms will be introduced into the game.
In each form, Deoxys has different battle stats. Its maximum combat points were calculated at PokémonGOHub using the usual formula that has also been applied to other monsters. There is no guarantee that these battle and CP values will be implemented the same way in Pokémon GO. Niantic may adjust the numbers before Deoxys’ release.
Deoxys’ CP is not higher than 3000 in any form. This makes it seem weak at first glance, but upon closer inspection, its strengths become apparent.
Stats of the Normal form of Deoxys – Thanks Gampress
Normal form: Already in its Normal form, Deoxys possesses the highest attack value (345) of all Pokémon in the game. Its defense value, however, is below average. Its HP value is also among the lowest. This makes it comparable to Gengar and also gives it a glass cannon character. However, its HP and attack values are further apart than those of Gengar. This means it deals even more damage but is taken down faster than the Ghost-type Pokémon.
Attack form of Deoxys Max CP = 2749
Attack form: In its Attack form, Deoxys is much more powerful than in its Normal form. Its attack value increases to 414, making it almost twice as strong in attack as Tyranitar. Mewtwo has over 100 attack points less. However, its defense suffers greatly, dropping to 46. Even a Caterpie has a higher defense value (55).
Attack form of Deoxys Max CP: 2244
Defense form: In this form, Deoxys transforms into a Pokémon with an excellent defense value and can only be surpassed by four Pokémon. Among them, Regirock and Regice are two legendary Pokémon that rank above Deoxys. If this form appears in raids, one must expect that more trainers will be needed than with a Deoxys in Normal form to successfully complete the raid. However, if you own such a Deoxys, it would be almost useless, since you cannot place legendary or mysterious Pokémon in gyms yet. Other forms would be significantly more effective for attacking.
Defense form of Deoxys Max CP: 1978
Speed form: In English, this form is also called “Speed” form. Here, the attack value balances out with the defense value. What this form will bring in Pokémon GO remains to be seen. Speed has not played a role in Pokémon GO so far. This is different in the console games.
Speed form of Deoxys Max CP: 2504
Mutated DNA: In previous Pokémon games, it was said that Deoxys originated from mutated DNA that came from a meteor. Therefore, it can alter its DNA and take on different forms.
Speculations about Deoxys’ Forms
The biggest discussion among trainers on this topic is whether Niantic will release further forms of Deoxys and how these will be determined. For now, only the Normal form is available in the game. The community is actively discussing and has many ideas.
Below we present theories shared by trainers on social networks. However, keep in mind: it is still absolutely unclear whether Deoxys will even get further forms in Pokémon GO.
Weather theory: The weather could play a role in Deoxys’ form. For example, you could encounter the Attack form in sunny weather and the Defense form in the rain in the game. This is also the theory from “coqui42” on Reddit.
Team color theory: This would be the first time that the chosen team color plays a role in Pokémon captured. One team could receive one form while the other two teams receive a different form.
An possible theory refers to team color.
Random theory: Chance could also play a big role. Each trainer can fight against the same Deoxys, but chance then decides which form each trainer receives.
IV theory: The Reddit user “Ghosting121” suspects that the form has to do with the IVs. It should be similar to the evolution of Surskit into Hitmontop, Hitmonlee, or Hitmonchan. Depending on whether the HP, attack, or defense value is the highest, Deoxys assumes the respective form. If two values are equal, it appears in the Normal form.
Trading theory: This assumption is frequently discussed in forums and has received a lot of attention. Every player catches the same form and can then trade their Deoxys with friends for a different form. This idea would also tap into the principle of console games. There, forms could also change through trading. Niantic would also benefit from this and make the new trading function more attractive. Deoxys would thus be the first Pokémon to change its form upon trading.
Overall, the announcement that Deoxys will be the new EX-Raid Boss is well received by the player base. There is much discussion about the upcoming Pokémon and most are looking forward to this new challenge. Additionally, you can share EX-Raid invitations.
What do you think? How will the different forms be introduced into the game?
New MMORPGs have a hard time in the market. That is why large development studios and publishers have been hesitant to announce a new AAA MMORPG for years. Using Pantheon and Ashes of Creation as examples, we show how fragmented the MMORPG market is.
Looking at the MMORPG market, one misses the big, new online role-playing games in the style of World of Warcraft. Indie titles compete for fans’ favor yet often do not know whether to rely on classic virtues or innovations.
Ashes of Creation – Innovative, but players still express criticism
Especially the quests with consequences are an interesting system: This could solve a major problem in MMORPGs. The fact that quests have no consequences and are merely a means to an end to gain items and EXP has held the genre back for years.
And yet, there is a lot of criticism for this: Players claim they just want to log into the MMO, complete quests, slay monsters, and improve their character. They ask:
Why must this principle be so “complicated”?
Why do developers want to force weird innovations into a game?
Thus, the rather innovative Ashes of Creation is viewed critically by some readers at MeinMMO:
Bodycore shares this opinion: “Honestly… Forget it… This type of game cannot offer us demanding PvE players what we are looking for. If PvE is not a focus, the resources to keep us engaged are lacking… I found AoC but I think the money was thrown to the wind. (Wink smiley)”
Ectheltawar has an interesting opinion: “Sounds good in theory, but I fear it won’t work in practice. If player XY logs into his game at night and only wants to slay something, he depends on someone else to create that condition. And even if it is created, the information must reach that player. Sounds really exciting, but I doubt it will work out well. Ultimately, dungeons and raids, not to mention quests, appeal to a certain type of player. And when they log into their game, they want to do exactly that.”
Are classic MMOs more popular? For years, some MMORPG players have hoped for a new, large MMO. But when someone plans a classic MMORPG, other players bring out the argument “innovation.”
Let’s take Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen. It could be considered the prime example of a classic MMORPG. It offers everything that defined MMOs in the past and is seen as the spiritual successor to Everquest.
Apart from its outdated graphics, the title should appeal to all those who wish for a classic MMORPG like Pantheon. However, it is then said that the game lacks innovations. It is too old-fashioned, not modern enough, and offers too little new content.
Mein-MMO reader Yoshi writes: “Even though I wish so much for a real PvE game like FFXIV or limited WoW – Pantheon looks a bit… old-fashioned. Not that it bothers me (maybe it does somewhere), but with such a design, it won’t attract many players – even if they have been waiting for something like this. Not even as a niche game.”
asdf thinks: “Old school or not. Why do you have to release such ‘gameplay’ videos? The combat system is ridiculously poor. Yes alpha blah, blah, blah, but such things scare people away. To call the fights lame is very polite.”
Kendryk Young says: “Classic PVE. Oh man, when I read such things… primitive button smashing, where you circle around the opponent – that should be fun for long… Hitting an NPC for hours and not caring about anything sounds like a mobile game.”
It is paradoxical. On one hand, MMO fans want something classic; however, it must not be too classic. And when it comes to innovations, they want them, but not too innovatively.
It shows: The MMORPG market is fragmented. Different groups want completely different games.
That is why developers are uncertain: It is not surprising that development studios are reluctant to announce a large MMORPG. The costs for developing such a game are enormous, and if you don’t even know who to target with this game, the risk becomes very high.
Sure, there are also players who already like Ashes of Creation and Pantheon and wish for such a game. However, all the negative voices lead to uncertainty. How far can an MMO developer go with innovations? How many classic elements must be included?
The MMORPG market is fragmented. This makes it difficult for developers to create a “large MMORPG” that appeals to many.
Note: We have somewhat “smoothed” the reader quotes in the article, but they remain unchanged in content.
Today, the update 2.0.3.1 for Destiny 2 is available for download and installation. Here’s what you need to know for your evening on PS4, Xbox One, or PC.
Update 18:25: The hotfix is now live, albeit delayed. It is just a small update, which you can download and install directly in Destiny 2. It is about 4 MB in size. Users report that they were kicked from their activity before 18:45. Additionally, some users are seeing incorrect information or missing milestones. Some planets are also missing. A restart should help.
Update 18:35: Bungie confirms the issues via Twitter. There are strange display errors in the navigator. Affected users should restart Destiny 2. If that doesn’t help, you should try clearing the console cache. You can find out how to do that in the tweet:

Update 18:40: The patch notes are here. You can find them below in the article.
Bungie is rolling out the updates: Since the Forsaken launch, Bungie has been diligently working on updates and hotfixes. Several patches have already been released, and there is no end in sight for the necessary bug fixes. Today, on September 20, the second update of the week is coming.
By the way, maintenance work has taken place every day this week in the background, including today. The developers have quite a bit to do.
The important times for today, September 20.:
At 18:00 maintenance will begin without server downtime. You can still log in and play. Bungie is working in the background on the servers.
Also at 18:00 another update, hotfix 2.0.3.1, will be made available worldwide on all platforms. You need to download and install it to continue playing Destiny 2. If you are in game at that time, you will be prompted to download the update at your next activity completion in orbit.
Already at 18:45 all guardians will be forced to install the update. If you are still in an activity at this time, you will be kicked back to the login screen. You will only continue once the update is installed.
Around 19:00 maintenance will be completed. If clan features and the companion app were disabled during maintenance, they will go live again now.
Tip: Don’t start any lengthy activities shortly before 18:00 – like the raid. Once you have installed the update, you can happily start anything in Destiny 2 that you want.
What changes with update 2.0.3.1?
The key changes:
The Offering for the Oracle no longer ends up in the inventory as consumables, but in the quest section. However, this weekly bounty has been temporarily removed, for which you need the Offering. Therefore, you only have to complete two weekly bounties (instead of three) this week to master the challenge with Petra.
There was also a glitch that gave you many enemy crates. This has now been fixed as well.
In Gambit, all kills with hand cannons now count towards the Pikass quest – not just Invader kills anymore.
The patch notes are now available in German, and we embed the complete changes here:
Heroic Adventures
A problem has been fixed that caused Barons to grant Legendary rewards outside of Heroic Adventures
Barons in Heroic Adventures now guarantee one Legendary item per day
Subsequent kills provide Legendary rewards with a reduced chance
Weapons/Items
A problem has been fixed that prevented players from putting down the weapons “Origin Story” and “The Last Dance” when they used a character-level boost after obtaining the weapons in “Homecoming”
A problem has been fixed that caused the Legendary scout rifle from BrayTech to create mod components when dismantled
The Dreaming City
The Offering for the Oracle is now placed in the quests area instead of consumables
The weekly bounty that required exchanging an Offering for the Oracle has been removed
The weekly challenge in the Dreaming City now only requires two completions of weekly bounties
A problem has been fixed where some enemy kills incorrectly produced chests
Players can no longer receive “Dreaming City” rewards when replaying the mission “Awakening”
A problem has been fixed that allowed progress in the Blind Well to be accelerated with “Telesto”
Gambit
Players can now complete the quest step of “Cayde’s Testament” by defeating invaders or general enemies with hand cannons
The reconnection feature in Gambit has been disabled
Issues with powerful gear
Issues with Powerful Gear – Update: Were not fixed: A few hours ago, Bungie tweeted that they are investigating issues with powerful gear. Apparently, this sometimes delivers items with too low power levels. They are working on a fix, and the problem is now of the highest priority.
Whether today’s hotfix will resolve this issue remains to be seen. However, the hotfix had already been announced before the issue with powerful gear arose. You can find the long list of all current issues in Destiny 2 on the Bungie page.
