The race for the First Kills in World of Warcraft is getting exciting. Several guilds want to livestream their progress!
With the opening of the “Battle of Dazar’Alor” raid, the race for the First Kills in the mythic version of the raid is about to begin again. The professional guilds have prepared themselves. For those interested, the race for the First Kills will be a feast, as anyone can watch the raids in livestream. Already, two of the most successful guilds have announced their intention to stream their progress completely.
Method and Exorsus reveal everything: The most well-known representative is probably the guild Method, which is already famous for numerous World First Kills. They have expanded their livestream format even further. In total, there will be 15 different perspectives from the raid, largely accompanied by commentators, such as the well-known WoW YouTuber Preach. But the professional guild Exorsus has also announced that they will livestream their progress. However, there will be no voice chat broadcast, although they plan to address comments and remarks during breaks.

In the past, progress was a secret affair: In recent years, progress raiding has changed dramatically. A few years ago, raids were always done “secretly” so that other competitors could not copy strategies or receive useful hints. Streaming was even expressly prohibited for players. This made the races for First Kills rather boring for observers. Information was only available once the kill was achieved.

Professional raiders take marketing into their own hands: Since Blizzard pays little attention to the race for the First Kills and does not reward it with prize money or other rewards, the professionals have taken their income into their own hands. Thanks to numerous sponsors and donations through the streams, the race for the First Kills has become a solid source of income for many, making high-level play profitable.
When does the race start? The race for the First Kills starts on January 30. By then, the Americans actually had a 14-hour head start to play the mythic raid – in the past, this head start has rarely made a difference.
Exorsus achieved several successes in Legion.
For those interested in First Kills and who have always wanted to look over the shoulders of the professionals, exciting weeks are ahead. Until Jaina is defeated in mythic mode of the “Battle of Dazar’Alor”, there will likely be a tight race.
Will you follow the race for the First Kills? Or do you find it boring and only wait for the results?
When a new MMORPG is announced, players are excited to find out which payment model will be used. For Astellia, the developers are opting for Buy2Play for the release in the “West”.
Astellia producer Wes Conner also has a very interesting opinion on this. He was not pleased with the releases of many MMORPGs in recent years.
Buy2Play instead of Pay2Win
What did Wes Conner mean about the payment model? According to the producer, Astellia will have a Buy2Play model in this country, while in Korea it will be Free2Play. The items that players can buy for money in Korea can be earned in various ways:
Why does Astellia rely on a Buy2Play model? Wes Conner explains that he is not very pleased with how the releases of many MMORPGs have gone in recent years. Some developers simply released their games in the West to make a profit and then did not support the game further.
This way, fans could not build any emotional connection to the title. The studios then moved on to the next title, treating it the same way. In principle, the games were disposable.
That will be different with Astellia. The game sees itself as part of a larger change. There is a desire to engage players more and offer them a product that does not take their money. The game is meant to be supported in the long term. Therefore, there are no Pay2Win elements in Astellia.

How difficult is it to run two versions? The Korean developers of Astellia essentially have to manage two versions. It is evident that such a thing is not easy, as seen with ArcheAge. However, the team shows great commitment and is very passionate about it.
The developers want as many players as possible to enjoy Astellia. Therefore, they are happy to take care of two versions.
How do players react to Astellia? There is some skepticism. There have simply been too many Asian online role-playing games released that rely on Pay2Win elements, seem too generic, and could not keep players engaged for long. However, one can also read some hope in the comments on Reddit. The fact that Astellia will be Buy2Play appeals to many.
The beta phases will be particularly important for Astellia, as they will show how the MMORPG plays and whether it can excite players.

High FPS (Frames per Second) in Fortnite can ensure that weapons fire faster. The proof is provided by the streamer DrLupo in the video. Epic has already announced that they will respond to the issue.
What is it about? The streamer DrLupo has discovered in tests in Fortnite that the FPS have a direct influence on the firing rate of weapons. In some cases, higher FPS lead to the weapon firing faster. This would give players an advantage in Fortnite.
FPS means Frames per Second and refers to the number of images shown per second.
How FPS Affects Firing Rate in Fortnite
The streamer DrLupo is a well-known face on Twitch.TV. He has nearly 3 million followers there to watch his Fortnite content. He recently shared a video on Twitter showing how FPS affects the firing speed of weapons.
DrLupo
What affects what? Recently it was found out in PUBG that FPS change the weapons. Accordingly, some weapons can fire faster on a system with 100 FPS than at 60 FPS. We will show you how this works here:
How was the testing done? Lupo took an SMG and shot at a wall. He tested it at 300 FPS and at 30 FPS. He filmed both and played the videos side by side. In the test with the higher FPS, it is evident that the weapon emptied the magazine faster.
You can see the comparison in the image shown above. About 3-4 bullets were still in the magazine at 30 FPS, while the video at 300 FPS shows an empty magazine at that time. This was fired off faster.
How significant is this? Lupo says that this difference is probably not decisive in most situations. But that this issue could significantly affect competitive matches is difficult.
We at Mein-MMO.de are looking for new full-time authors or female authors working from home who want to write about Anthem for our site as freelancers from home. The position is initially intended for three months on a project basis. However, there is a prospect of long-term employment after the project phase has concluded.
Who we are
Mein-MMO.de was founded in September 2013 and is now part of Webedia Gaming. We focus exclusively on multiplayer online games that continue to develop over a long period.
We have been reporting on Anthem regularly since the major announcement at E3 in 2017. Shared-world shooters like Anthem are among the pillars of Mein-MMO.de, and we passionately cover games like Destiny 2, The Division 2, or Warframe.
We reach between 250,000 and 300,000 unique readers every day. They write about 4,000 comments a week.
About 15 authors write their articles, news, stories, and guides about online games every day.
We follow the approach of accompanying games in depth, becoming experts in individual games, and being close to the community.
What we are looking for
We are looking exclusively for specialist authors for shared-world shooters with Anthem as a fixed area of responsibility.
The job consists of taking care of Anthem, “making it your own”, taking responsibility for it, and expanding our role in reporting on the game.
The regular articles about Anthem must be timely. News should also be current and happen promptly. Therefore, you must be flexible in your working hours.
Therefore, you should identify with Anthem and know it extremely well. Our community notices when an author has no idea and is just trying to get by. Thus, expertise about the game is important.
This is especially true after the release of Anthem when all details about gameplay and story are revealed.
You should know the most important information sources about the game and be able to inform yourself widely about them.
We expect authors for whom the phone rings and their hearts race when the official account of the game tweets even the smallest detail. You write for the community. Therefore, you should not think that your opinion about the game is the only right one and vehemently defend it.
Ideally, you have already gained experience in journalism, have written for other sites or started your blog.
Author for Anthem on a project basis
We are looking for an author who will closely accompany the release of Anthem on Mein-MMO.de. The job is full-time but designed on a project basis. The project is planned for three months – approximately from February 1 to April 30.
There is definitely the possibility of continuing to work for Mein-MMO.de after the project is concluded. In that case, you would continue to be employed as a specialist author for Anthem from May 1, but you would also start reporting on Destiny 2.
Your tasks:
In-depth release coverage: Anthem is set to release on February 22, 2019. You will start a few weeks before the release to closely monitor the release phase of Anthem for three months: that is, until the end of April 2019.
Together with the team, you will explore Anthem and the growing community. You will report on what interests and impacts players of Anthem.
This includes: news, guides, analyses, opinion pieces, and top lists (like “The 5 strongest support builds in Anthem”)
Social: Expansion and management of our Anthem Facebook page in collaboration with our social media manager.
Scope: Daily news and multiple larger specials throughout the week.
Perspective: If you want and have proven yourself, it is possible to play a larger role in the team, and you will also manage other games, focusing on shared-world shooters.
But for now, it’s about the release phase of Anthem. We see this from early February to the end of April 2019.
What we offer
We offer an entry into the world of online gaming journalism or the chance for an experienced author to become part of a successful project. The work will be done online from home. If you live near Munich, it is also possible to come to the Webedia Gaming office and work on projects.
You are part of a dynamic and highly committed team of passionate gamers, digital experts, and authors.
You will learn a lot about online gaming journalism, editorial workflows, and the work as a freelance author.
It is an exciting, challenging, and interesting job where no two days are the same.
You’ll also get paid – we will clarify the details in a personal conversation.
When is the job? Immediately. Starting in mid-February 2019, you should already take on the main responsibility for Anthem on Mein-MMO. However, we have a functioning, successful team that will train you intensively. You will also have a permanent companion who will assist you in taking care of Anthem. So no one will be thrown into the deep end.
We look forward to your meaningful, informal application to the email address [email protected] – Introduce yourselves and your work. Tell us how you would like to be part of Mein-MMO.de. We will accept applications until January 28, 2019.
Note: After we have hired someone, we will delete all applications. However, everyone should receive a confirmation or rejection beforehand.

Players who want to easily acquire gold in Guild Wars 2 should take advantage of the events in the Domain of Istan. Around Palawadan and the Hall of the Crescent Moons, there are chests and champions that provide many rewards in a short time. However, with the latest patch, ArenaNet has made changes to this.
What happened? Community Manager Gaile Gray announced in the forum that changes will be made to the chests in the events in the Domain of Istan.
The goal of these changes is that players should visit the events daily to earn massive gold. However, the extreme farming of the map should be reduced.
Therefore, a daily limit on chests was introduced with the patch on Tuesday. In Palawadan, only 30 chests can now be opened, and in the Hall of the Crescent Moons, 12.
In compensation, the chests should receive better rewards. However, this does not seem to be the case yet, as players report on Reddit.
The end of farming events? Players in Guild Wars 2 are reacting differently. Some fear that the changes could spell the end of the Istan events.
The mentioned events occur every two hours at XX:45. Even if one run would now offer more rewards, certain hours could become ingrained in players’ schedules for these events.
During the rest of the day, the map would then be empty. This would especially affect players who do not play during the evening prime time.
Hope for the economy? Other players, however, see significant advantages in the changes. Casual players who would only participate in the event once a day would benefit from the modification.
It could also be beneficial for the economy. Currently, many prices for materials are low, and this is also due to players excessively farming certain events.
Our author Alex thinks: This is an opportunity for other meta-events
I personally see the change in the Domain of Istan as a great opportunity for Guild Wars 2. Certain events currently give too much gold for too little effort. Other events require too much effort for too little gold.
Adjustments of other events: If further daily limits, for example, were introduced in the Silverwastes, then players would be forced to play other maps as well.
At the same time, new daily rewards could be introduced for other meta-events, such as the wrath of the serpents from Path of Fire.
This could potentially lead to farming groups developing that go through each event gradually. Casual players could then simply join these groups and effectively earn gold.
Daily event successes: In my ideal vision, ArenaNet could even introduce a new daily category.
In this category, there could be additional rewards for daily changing events. This would also ensure that players who experience certain maps later than others still have the opportunity to achieve success.
The meta-event from the new episode could also remain popular due to these adjustments:
Pokémon GO has announced the Community Day for February 2019! It’s all about Swinub. We will show you the date, the shiny form, and the bonuses of the day.
The Community Day in February will certainly come as a surprise to many players. It revolves around Swinub, the Ice and Ground-type Pokémon. Starting on this day, you will also have a chance to get Mamoswine for the first time. In addition, you will receive a large amount of Stardust as bonuses within the 3 hours.
Community Day January 2019 – Date and Info
When does the Community Day in February start? On Saturday, February 16, you will have 3 hours as usual to take advantage of the event. The Community Day runs from 11 AM to 2 PM.
What does GMT+0 mean? Anyone who has closely followed Niantic’s announcement will have seen that the start time is set at 10 AM. However, this applies to the GMT+0 time zone. In Germany, we are in the GMT+1 zone, which is why it starts at 11 AM.
What are the bonuses?
Triple Stardust for catching Pokémon
Incense lasts 3 hours instead of 30 minutes
Swinub will appear more frequently in the wild
Trainer battles will reward 5 rewards per day instead of just 3 on the Community Day weekend
Will there be Mamoswine? Niantic confirms that you will have the chance to get Mamoswine for the first time on February 16. This Pokémon can then be evolved from Piloswine using a Sinnoh Stone.
What move can Mamoswine learn? As with every Community Day, there will be a special move available in February. However, the move that Mamoswine can learn is not yet known. It is usually announced a few days before the Community Day.
How to get the move: In order for Mamoswine to learn the special move, it must be evolved on Community Day by 3 PM at the latest. Niantic has provided an extra hour for this. The event ends at 2 PM, while the special move can still be learned for another hour.
Shiny Swinub, Piloswine, and Mamoswine
It can also be expected that the shiny form of the event Pokémon will be implemented in the game in February. This has been the case for every Community Day so far. Here you can see the shiny forms of Swinub, Piloswine, and Mamoswine:
In February, it will definitely still be quite cold. Therefore, we will show you tips on how to play effectively even in low temperatures:
In his last letter to the community, Luke Smith spoke to the players of Destiny 2. A sentence evokes a hope for something many long for: a grand, united Destiny. A Destiny without a number behind it.
In the letter to the community “This Week at Bungie”, Luke Smith addressed the fans. He is now the Franchise Director, responsible for the bigger picture.
In his post, he actually said very little concrete, but the particular choice of his words makes players dream.
These are the 2 sentences in question:
“When I look forward and think about which direction Destiny could take, I see a bright future rooted in an unforgettable past.”
“Not everything has been lost in the dark corners of time.”
The sentence that not everything has been lost in the dark corners of time references “The Glass Chamber”, the raid for which Smith was responsible. Elsewhere, Luke Smith reminds that the Guardian should continue to evolve, the character that players have been following since 2014.
What do players want to read here? Players want to interpret this as a hint that Bungie is working on a “united Destiny”. This would start with everything from Destiny 1 coming back to Destiny 2. Many contents were indeed left behind by Bungie when Destiny 2 relaunched.
The “united Destiny” is a wish that keeps appearing in one form or another in the Destiny community. There was even a long thread with all sorts of “evidence” that Bungie is indeed working on exactly that (via reddit).
Apart from the nostalgia, it is also a forward-looking wish: Some hope that Bungie will stop developing individual parts of Destiny and continually removing content from the game, but instead build “a great Destiny” that they will keep evolving.
This is what it means: The likely explanation for these sentences is that Luke Smith wants to remind players of their nostalgia and make it clear that they indeed have a 5-year shared history with the players and their Guardians.
However, the reactions show what some players of Destiny actually wish for (via reddit). A Destiny without a number behind it, encompassing all of Destiny.
The idea of a “unified Destiny” keeps surfacing on Reddit, showing a map with all contents from Destiny 1 and Destiny 2 together in one orbit. It is an impressive image.
Many are also skeptical about a Destiny 3: Because that would again appear without the contents of Destiny 2. Games like The Elder Scrolls Online, on the other hand, offer an ever-expanding world over the years without removing content.
How can Anthem stand out from the vast array of shooters? By flying like a superhero, says BioWare. Flight has been one of the major cornerstones of Anthem from the very beginning and was at the start of the development.
Who is speaking? The leading minds behind Anthem that we keep hearing are
Game Director Jonathan Warner
Lead Producer Ben Irving
Lead Producer Mike Gamble
Executive Producer Mike Darrah
They gave an interview to the major French site Jeux Video. An important topic there: flying.
This idea started Anthem: Mike Gamble explains that the idea was to find a heroic combat style. Players should fight like a superhero. They should always be on the move and do fantastic things.
But how can players feel like superheroes without breaking the game?
The answer to that was flight.
That’s why flight was so important: Even in the first month when BioWare was working on the concept of Anthem, they realized that players should be able to fly.
Everyone loved it – flying is the oldest dream of humanity, says Gamble. And flying is also at the core of every superhero fantasy.
Therefore, BioWare knew from the start: We have to get flight right.
Was there anything against it? As Jonathan Warner says, there was concern that a loot shooter with flying could also cause problems. There was fear that players could miss out on loot.
After all, players in a loot shooter are always looking for more and better equipment.
Additionally, flying in video games is generally dangerous because players could use it to cheat the game. They could fly outside the boundaries of areas, bypass entire regions, and miss loot.
Everyone had to work together to find a flying system that is fun and still doesn’t harm the game, says Warner.
It was difficult to incorporate flying into combat. As Irving explains, flight then had many implications for other parts of the game to make Anthem work. They experimented a lot:
Initially, there were many situations where enemies blocked flying in combat – but that didn’t feel good because flying was so cool.
They feared that flying could mean an “Instant Win” if enemies were unable to combat the Javelins from a distance.
Therefore, they had to set some limitations in Anthem for flight to work.
Enemies can now force the Javelins to the ground in certain situations, encouraging players to think more tactically.
Flight is supposed to be the thing of Anthem: Warner believes that flight will ultimately set Anthem apart from other games:
“I think flying is one of the big things that sets us apart because it allows us to view the world differently. Instead of just understanding our game world as the flat surface of the world, we see the space in which the player can move freely.
Anthem becomes more interesting at all times and always leaves the player to decide: Where do I fly? How do I get there?”
What’s behind it: The first part of BioWare’s plan worked out. The first reactions and associations players had when they saw Anthem were indeed: Iron Man, a flying superhero.
The plan that Anthem should fulfill a “superhero fantasy” has at least worked at first. Now it still needs to work in the actual game.
In the demo, you can soon convince yourselves whether flying will really be the big thing of Anthem:
In the online shooter Destiny 2, a balance patch is coming soon. Fans are particularly hopeful for one weapon class: the Scout Rifles. Many miss using this special type of weapon, which is considered elegant and stylish.
This is the weapon class in question: It concerns “Scout Rifles.” They have always played a strange role in Destiny. Scout Rifles are somewhat like the “light sniper rifle.” They are primary and energy weapons that one can always play with.
For the real “sniper rifles,” one needs special or power ammunition in Destiny – Scout Rifles are essentially like sniper light:
These Scout Rifles exist only in a few video games, and many loved this weapon class in Destiny 1.
In Destiny 2, however, they have been living in the shadows for some time.
Therefore, Guardians are demanding, “Make Scout Rifles great again,” and Bungie seems to be hearing them for the next patch.
Here’s how the weapon class will be improved: For “Lightweight” and “Rapid-Fire” variants, the damage will specifically increase. And in PvE, the damage will even rise for all Scout Rifles.
Bungie says Scout Rifles should deal less damage because their range provides so much safety. However, at the moment, Scout Rifles do too little damage compared to other primary weapons.
When is the patch coming? Update 2.1.4 is scheduled for next week, on January 29.
This is why so many fans are interested: The balance changes in the next patch are particularly discussed regarding the buff for Scout Rifles – alongside Luke Smith’s address.
The weak role of Scout Rifles is a topic that has weighed heavily on the minds of many Guardians for a long time: Scout Rifles in Destiny 2 are currently hardly used. Pulse Rifles have surpassed them, as they are superior at medium and long range.
The only Scout Rifle currently praised is the Polaris Lance. It is said to be a beast. Guardians hope that Scout Rifles will become more useful again with the next patch.
Will Scout Rifles really be “a good option” again? The buff is announced, but players are unsure if it will really help.
The poor situation of Scout Rifles in Destiny 2’s PvP is also thought to be due to the fact that the PvP maps are all designed for close combat and are so small, according to some players on reddit.
The question will be how strong the buff for Scout Rifles really is.
Apparently, the Scout Rifle is the favorite weapon class of many players and currently plays too small a role for them in Destiny 2. Are you also hoping for Scout Rifles?
One of the largest MMO companies in the world is up for sale. But who is going to pay almost 9 billion US dollars for Nexon (Vindictus, MapleStory 2)? The list of potential buyers is short: Electronic Arts and Activision are on it. In addition, Tencent and Disney.
This was the rumor: We already reported in early January 2019 that Nexon was allegedly up for sale. This is one of the largest MMO companies in the world and a huge video game giant in South Korea and other Asian countries.
In 2012 there was a rumor that Nexon would swallow Electronic Arts – now the signs have reversed.
The founder of Nexon, Kim Jung-ju, is said to be tired of many new regulations and exhausted by corruption allegations against him. He wants to sell his massive shares, it was said two weeks ago.
Kim Jung-ju
At that time, Nexon did not want to comment directly, but it now seems to be official. The MMO giant is indeed up for sale. This is reported by a Korean news site.
And the news has, according to TechSpot, already had an impact on the stock market. The stocks of some of Nexon’s subsidiaries have already jumped high. Large investment funds are preparing. They are allegedly considering buying individual parts of the company and taking it off the stock market.
And a number of buyers are also said to be interested.
This is what the shares are about: It is said to be about 98.64% of the shares in Nexon and the various subsidiaries. These shares are held by:
Kim himself, the head of the company – 61.94%
his wife – 29.43%
Kim’s private company Wise Kids – 1.72%
and other relatives of Kim
These shares are said to be worth between 7.1 and 8.9 billion US dollars in total.
These are the potential buyers: Currently, four companies are mentioned as potential candidates for the purchase of Nexon:
Activision – a Western publisher with Call of Duty and World of Warcraft
Electronic Arts – a Western publisher with titles like Battlefield and FIFA backing them
And Disney – the company with the mouse
When is this supposed to take place? Allegedly, the sale is supposed to take place in Hong Kong and San Francisco on July 17, 2019.
The New York branch of Deutsche Bank and Morgan Stanley are allegedly supposed to handle the purchase. Tencent is being advised by Goldman Sachs. American investors are trying to collaborate with Western bidders to raise the enormous sums of money involved.
One can be curious about what will happen next and whether the potential buyers will comment on the deal or if it all remains under wraps. So far, the most heard response is: “No comment.”
In Korea, gaming develops differently than it does with us:
The new online shooter Anthem is just a month away from release. The General Manager of BioWare reaches out to the players, promising three big things that Anthem should deliver: a unique storytelling experience, plenty of content at launch, and substantial development.
This is the situation: In the post “One Month to go” (one month remaining), Casey Hudson addresses the future players of Anthem. It is kind of a speech to the fans, clarifying what BioWare aims to achieve and why it is a very special project.
Hudson says they started building a new universe full of characters and stories of “BioWare” quality in 2012. Back then, the game was still called “Project Dylan.”
They wanted to tell a story that players can experience together and that never ends.
BioWare knew that there would be doubters, and they had good reasons for their skepticism: Often, the nature of online games works against the story and against interesting interaction with the characters in the story.
But Anthem was designed to be something fresh and new.
These are the three central promises: Hudson highlights three things that Anthem aims to provide:
Anthem will launch with a large amount of content, including a substantial main campaign that introduces players to the world and its characters.
And the launch of Anthem is not the end, but the beginning. Hudson says: If players want more of something, they will build it. If something is not good, they should tell BioWare. Player feedback is essential for further development.
Soon, BioWare will explain how they plan to continue providing content for Anthem.
After that, Hudson explains how players will be able to play the demo of Anthem in just a few days. We summarized this in an article.
This is what it’s about: These are already big promises from Casey Hudson. Particularly the unique player experience that pleases fans of both single-player and multiplayer games is crucial from BioWare’s perspective, as they want to take the “old single-player fans” into the new era.
Also, that Anthem starts with a lot of content is a big promise. New online games often struggle with this.
It is also interesting that BioWare confirms that Anthem has indeed been in development since 2012. This was only previously suspected from a major leak from the site Kotaku.
In the latest special report from The Division 2, there was a major live stream. They discussed the anti-cheat measures, which were a persistent problem in The Division 1 and should not occur in this magnitude anymore.
To tackle this issue, the developers, Massive and the Red Storm Studios, announced that they would use Easy Anti-Cheat for the second installment of The Division.
What is Easy Anti-Cheat? It is the anti-cheat tool from the security firm Kamu, which was acquired by Epic Games, the developer behind Fortnite, at the end of 2018. It is considered quite reliable among gamers. There are several games that swear by this software. These include For Honor, SMITE, Dead by Daylight, and also Fortnite. Publisher Ubisoft is represented with several games. Presumably, they are now relying on Easy Anti-Cheat for The Division after positive experiences.
What does this mean for The Division 2? It will likely become significantly more difficult for cheaters and hackers. The tool boasts that it can detect unusually high and perfect kill streaks using a clever algorithm. Or it can continuously monitor modified game versions and quickly take action against them. However, these harsh methods do not function flawlessly. This was recently demonstrated when innocent players were banned in Fortnite. Such measures cannot be ruled out in The Division either.

Since its release in 2016, The Division 1 has consistently faced problems with cheaters, regardless of the platform. There have been ongoing complaints about users of a cheating tool, the Cronus Max, on the PS4.
Nevertheless, Massive continues to try everything in their power to combat cheaters and hackers. This includes permanent bans.
Server Locations in 13 Countries
Will there be so many Delta errors again? Almost every Division player is familiar with the problem. Lags, Delta errors, and numerous connection problems have been common at times in The Division 1. We could almost create a top 10 of the best Delta reports.
This should be a thing of the past because the load is better distributed. In total, there will be 13 server locations. These locations are spread across several continents:
North America
South America
Oceania
Asia
Europe
The matchmaking will run over dedicated server systems. They apparently upgraded to avoid connection issues like those in The Division 1. Issues such as the “Running in Place” bug should not occur again.
YouTuber Just For Fun uploaded the part of the stream that discussed cheat protection and server structure.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DMLkNVJmsHc
By the way: There was a small announcement from the developers. The State of the Game, the community live stream of the Division developers, will return. There will be regular streams again.
If you don’t want to miss any current information, we recommend our Facebook page for The Division 2, which has just been newly established.
What do you think of the information? Do the measures reassure you?
Another cinematic for World of Warcraft has been released. Check out here how the fight against Rastakhan ends.
In America, players can already experience the new raid “Battle for Dazar’Alor” in World of Warcraft. Since only the normal and heroic mode of the raid is available, it didn’t take long for the bosses to fall. At the launch of the raid, there is an initial cinematic that displays the prologue of the battle. A second cinematic plays after the Alliance reaches the throne room of King Rastakhan and fights against him.
Spoiler warning: If you don’t want to know what happens after the fight against King Rastakhan, you should not continue reading.
This is seen in the cinematic: The Alliance was victorious and managed to defeat the troll king Rastakhan. After the victory, the Alliance storms back to the docks, leaving the dying Rastakhan behind. His daughter Talanji is with him in his final moments and tries to comfort him. Rastakhan apologizes to his daughter, and at that moment, a bluish magic transfers from the king to Talanji.

At the moment of his death, Talanji realizes what her father has apologized for, and the Loa of Death, Bwonsamdi, appears. Like Rastakhan, Talanji is bound to this Loa and now stands in his service.
But Talanji has no time to be angry. The Alliance is on the run, and Talanji seeks revenge, chasing the Horde and the remaining trolls of the Zandalari Empire after the Alliance.
Whether there will be another cinematic after the final fight against Jaina remains to be seen. If it is released, we will present it to you here.

In Destiny 2 there is the possibility to earn titles for your Guardians and proudly display your achievements. Recently, a new title was added to the game – Blacksmith. We will explain how to become the “Blacksmith”.
What are the titles about? Titles are very popular among many fans. Many players see it as a cool way to customize themselves and stand out from the crowd of Guardians. Because titles showcase special achievements and accomplishments that one has achieved in specific areas of Destiny 2.
Now you have the opportunity to adorn your Guardians with another new title, the “Blacksmith”.
Warning – Bug Alert: Currently, a bug at a certain step is preventing players from obtaining the title: The raid achievement “Diamantengleich” is not being counted correctly, but it is necessary for the title “Blacksmith”.
We will update the article as soon as it is possible to become the “Blacksmith” in Destiny 2. You can still start with the numerous quest steps.
The long road to the Blacksmith title – This is what you need to do
Generally, the path to a title requires a lot of work and especially time. The new Blacksmith title is no exception. Here, players must also work through a long list of tasks that encompass almost everything included in the first premium DLC “The Black Armory”. Additionally, some steps are heavily dependent on chance and luck.
This is what the Blacksmith title entails: The Blacksmith is tied to the seal of the Black Armory and is only available to owners of the Annual Pass.
Here you can find more in-game info about the Blacksmith title
The respective requirements can mostly be viewed through the corresponding seal in the menu. In total, 17 different triumphs must be unlocked. The following tasks await you:
Collect all Blacksmith weapons
Players must earn all 7 Blacksmith weapons, which can be crafted through Ada-1’s weapon forms. These include the following weapons:
Forge 100 weapons and secure the ship of the Black Armory
There are two requirements that you can complete simultaneously – on the one hand, the Master Blacksmith Triumph and on the other hand, the ship Platinum Star, which is required for the seal of the Black Armory.
You unlock the triumph by crafting 100 Blacksmith weapons from research and weapon forms of the Black Armory. You will get these from Ada-1. The ship will be awarded once you have unlocked this triumph.
Get all Blacksmith emblems and shaders
The three emblems
Power of Völundr
Gofannon’s Hammer
Tear of Izanami
and Steel of Bergusia
can be obtained by mastering the corresponding forges with a bounty that requires you to ignite a forge.
The Gofannon Forge
The shaders all come from various sources:
New Era of the Black Armory: For this, you must dismantle Blacksmith weapons that you can craft through Ada-1’s Powerful weapon forms. For these weapons, this is the standard shader
Restored Black Armory: You can get this shader from restored weapons. These are not weapons you get from the Blacksmith Forms, but legendary weapons that drop in the forges. It is essentially about reworked year 1 weapons in a new coat of paint and random rolls
Rassmussen Clan: This shader has a rare chance to appear on weapons that you can craft from the Völundr-specific weapon frames from Ada-1 (sword, MG, auto rifle). You need to dismantle the weapons for this. It can also appear on armor pieces that drop in the Völundr Forge
House of Meyrin: This shader has a rare chance to appear on weapons that you can craft from the Gofannon-specific weapon frames from Ada-1 (hand cannon, sniper). You need to dismantle the weapons for this. It can also appear on armor pieces that drop in the Gofannon Forge
Satou Clan: This shader has a rare chance to appear on weapons that you can craft from the Izanami-specific weapon frames from Ada-1 (bow, pulse rifle). You need to dismantle the weapons for this. It can also appear on armor pieces that drop in the Izanami Forge
Bergusia Night: You get this shader from the Bergusia Forge. You will find it on all curated rolls (masterwork with fixed perks) that can drop there in addition to the weapons you craft from Powerful frames. You can also find this shader on the curated drops from the new raid “The Scourge of the Past”. The weapons must be dismantled for this
Collect a full set of Blacksmith armor
For the Blacksmith title, you need a full armor set from the Blacksmith on one character. You can currently obtain these from three sources:
Ada-1’s weekly challenge guarantees one piece of Blacksmith armor that you are still missing. Only then will duplicates start dropping
A rare bounty from Ada-1 can also drop a random piece of Blacksmith armor
You can purchase “Blacksmith Polymer” from Ada-1. If you then craft any weapon from the Black Armory, you will additionally receive a random piece of Blacksmith armor
Find all Blacksmith Exotics
Three of the five new weapon exotics introduced with the Black Armory are tied to the Blacksmith. These weapons need to be found or earned for the triumph:
If you want to adorn yourself with the Blacksmith title, you need to unlock the following triumphs in the forges of the Black Armory:
Guardians of the Black Armory: Complete 6 special (rare) bounties of the Black Armory
Bounty Hunter of the Black Armory: Complete 30 bounties from the Black Armory
A Study in Obsidian (secret): Find an obsidian accelerator that can drop in the Bergusia Forge
ETZ Blacksmith of the Black Armory: Forge all weapon types of the Armory in the ETZ forges (sword, MG, auto rifle)
Nessus Blacksmith of the Black Armory: Forge all weapon types of the Armory in the Nessus forges (hand cannon, sniper, bow, pulse rifle)
Blown Away: 500 kills with Jötunn in the Völundr Forge
One Clean-up, Please: 500 kills with threat levels in the Bergusia Forge
Nice but Deadly: 500 kills with Le Monarque in the Gofannon Forge
Reunited Siblings: 500 kills with Izanagis Burden in the Izanami Forge
Complete these raid triumphs
For the Blacksmith title, Destiny 2 sends you into the new raid Scourge of the Past. You need to earn the following triumphs:
Diamantengleich: Complete the raid flawlessly.
“To each their own”, “Stick Together” and “All for One, One for All”: Master these clan challenges from Hawthorne in the new raid
Quick and Bulky: Escape from the burning servitor “Burning Glory” in Scourge of the Past without a fireteam member dying
Plunder of the Lost Treasure: Plunder a total of 5 hidden chests in the new raid
Important: The triumph Diamond-like (Like a Diamond) is currently bugged and is not being recognized – even if you manage to complete the raid flawlessly.
Bungie is aware of the issue and is already working on a solution. Whether this achievement will also be recognized retroactively is currently unknown. Due to this bug, it is currently not possible to obtain the Blacksmith title.
How to equip the Blacksmith title
Once you have unlocked all 17 triumphs, you can activate the seal of the Black Armory in the menu. There, you can equip the Blacksmith title. The title appears in the character menu and is visible to all other Guardians in-game.
Title Update 7 has been released today for FIFA 19 on PC. The patch brings changes to the Timed Finesse Shot, the goalkeeper’s speed, and other fixes.
In the latest update for FIFA 19, EA mainly addresses the Timed Finesse Shot (finesse shot with activated timing). This shot is considered particularly powerful in the community. Therefore, calls for a nerf have intensified. EA has addressed the issue, as previously announced.
We summarize what exactly Title Update 7 changes in the game for you.
The patch mainly consists of two parts. The focus was on nerfing the Timed Finesse Shot. The other part includes smaller adjustments and fixes.
Timed Finesse Shot will be nerfed
How does the OP shot work? The Timed Finesse Shot is not very easy to handle. On your PS4 controller, you need to press R1 + Circle twice and on the Xbox controller RB + B + B. Additionally, you need to time it perfectly for the finesse shot. A charging bar will be displayed as a guide. You can activate the timing feature in the settings.
How the shooting technique is revised: According to the patch notes, the biggest problem with the Timed Finesse Shot was that poor timing while shooting was too forgiving. This affected the ball’s trajectory less negatively than one would expect.
This should now be a thing of the past with Title Update 7. If you land in the red or yellow area of the charging bar while shooting, it will now be punished more harshly.
The other changes mainly affect the charging bar for charged shots. After the update, good timing is even more critical, as the green area that allows for precise shots has been reduced. This makes it harder to land a really good Timed Finesse Shot.
EA illustrates the changes to the loading bar for Timed Shots.
While the yellow area has been enlarged, the precision of the shots has been decreased. The change affects all types of Timed Finesse Shots, such as the Powered Finesse Shot or shots in the box, close to the post.
What else changes with the update?
These are the other fixes:
The movement speed of goalkeepers has been reduced
The goalkeeper’s behavior in 1v1 situations has been adjusted
Career: A bug was fixed where some players could no longer increase their ratings
Career: The “Win the League” achievement is now displayed correctly when finishing the league in 1st place
Career: The FA Cup final will no longer take place on the same day as the last matchday of the Premier League
Pro Clubs: If a player controls the entire team, the player they select loses stamina as normal.
Pro Clubs: Player data is now displayed correctly in the Club HUB
Not everyone is happy with the update
This is what the community says about the update: While most agree with the nerf of the finesse shot, they feel that the patch does not go far enough overall. After almost two months, many expected more; the last update came on December 6 of last year.
MeinMMO user Foxx382 initially finds the changes to the shots positive: “I like the change. A yellow TF [shot with shot timing] from 16/18/20/30 meters should not hit as often as it has so far. In the Weekend League, this has just been outrageous in recent months.”
However, he also sees the problem in game design, as the AI in defense forces one to: “The current state of AI defending … unfortunately makes it necessary to score with TF because the opponent stands with 10 men in their own penalty area and every “normal” shot is blocked by the AI defenders. Therefore, an AI defending nerf is urgently needed to make it worth combining into the box again.” This is also a reason why the Cement Tactic is currently played by so many players in the competitive area.
Many players are eagerly awaiting thorough changes to the AI of the defensive players. Many find them too strong. Jenzu9 wrote on Reddit: “They have neither nerfed the AI defense nor the team pressing. Prepare yourself for a header meta.”
Jenzu9 is not the only one concerned about this. While the nerf of the Timed Finesse Shot was necessary, many fear that the defensive AI and team pressing could dominate FIFA 19. Therefore, they would have liked a nerf for these aspects as well. The patch is being critically discussed in the FIFA 19 subreddit.
What is the problem with the defensive AI and pressing? According to players, the AI-controlled defense is too strong. Combined with pressing tactics, it is barely stoppable. Because players lose no stamina when they are not controlled by a human.
Criticism is directed at the fact that AI defenders never tire throughout the match and can easily push back significantly faster opponents because they are still in top shape.
There are further issues that parts of the community have criticized for a long time. They hope and demand that EA reacts faster to them in the future.

A new cinematic is available in World of Warcraft. We show you how dramatically the Battle of Dazar’Alor begins!
The Americans are, as always with patch releases of World of Warcraft, a few hours ahead of us. They have already played the latest raid “Battle for Dazar’Alor” and have seen the cutscenes and cinematics.
Spoiler warning:If you do not want to be spoiled about the cinematic for the opening of the Battle of Dazar’Alor, you should not read further. You have been warned.
Here’s what to see: The cinematic shows the Alliance’s attack on the heart of the Troll Empire. The fleet of Kul Tiras sails towards Dazar’Alor. Jaina, her brother, Gelbin, and Mathias Shaw participate in the attack and have a clear plan. They approach the Horde’s defenses seemingly unprotected and come under fire.

There are some hits, and at one point, it even seems as though Gelbin has been fatally hit. Jaina, on the other hand, has some cool plays and manages to protect herself and a few others with a Manashield.
However, the Alliance, with the help of Gelbin (and the players’ war campaign), has installed a lot of explosives on the Horde’s defenses, which will be detonated on command. Within seconds, almost the entire Horde defense is destroyed, allowing the Alliance to reach the shore.
At least one more cinematic will be released in the coming hours or days. Once it is released, you will read about it here.
What do you think of the cinematic? Is it a fitting start for this battle?
In Fortnite, you need to destroy 20 golden ice monsters. This is part of the Ice Storm challenges. We will show you tips on where to find these enemies.
About the challenge: In Fortnite: Battle Royale, the entire map has been covered in snow. The Ice Storm Challenge is now underway. You can now find ice shards everywhere, from which ice horrors and ice monsters emerge.
At regular intervals, the ice shard spits out the monsters that you can then shoot down. One of the goals is to take out 20 golden ice monsters. However, they are particularly rare.
We provide you with tips and methods on how to complete the challenge.
Where are the golden ice horrors in Fortnite?
So rare are the enemies: When the challenge was activated in Fortnite, many players immediately set off in search of the enemies. However, the golden ice monsters are extremely rare.
Tips from the community: Players say that the monsters tend to appear especially towards the end of a match. Players are advised to endure for a long time in a match, possibly hiding until the circle gets smaller. Then the golden opponents are likely to appear more often. The task can then be completed more easily.
It is best to use the crossbow for the kills. Because it deals a lot of damage to these zombie opponents and has unlimited ammunition.
The Plane Tactic
A player has a special tactic to perfect waiting for the monsters. Player iGjmitchE writes that he completed the challenge in 3 hours. He gives the following tips:
No matter which route the bus takes at the start of a match, always land at Frosty Flights
Loot chests until you find the crossbow
This can take up to 5 chests – you can also find the crossbow as loot on the ground
With the crossbow armed, grab a plane
Fly towards the circle
Find a point at the furthest edge of the circle, preferably at the edge of the map, and wait there
To make the zombies spawn there, you must not fly higher than the tops of the trees
As you fly past the ice shards, turn your camera and check if a golden ice monster has spawned
They are clearly recognizable because they are surrounded by a purple aura
If you fly about 100 meters away from the ice shards, the zombies despawn
If you then fly back to the shards, new enemies will appear
With this tactic, you fly until you find a golden ice monster
It’s best to have 3 to 4 shards that you fly to one after the other, thus following a route
If you spot a golden ice monster while flying by, land, pull out the crossbow, and fight the enemy. It takes 14 to 17 bolts from the crossbow before it is destroyed. Once the enemy is dealt with, get back into the plane and resume the tactic:
Fly to an ice shard, check while flying by if there is a golden ice monster present. If so, land. If not, fly on to the next shard or 100 meters away, so that new zombies can spawn.
How far are you with the challenge?
The latest update 7.20 removed these 3 items from Fortnite:
There are many arguments and rarely any agreement among those arguing who see many issues. The Azerite system, world quests, content poverty, time gating, or too many RNG elements are frequently mentioned criticisms.
But the real reason why World of Warcraft “isn’t running smoothly” is another: A crucial circle is missing.
The underlying question is: What do players do when they actually have nothing to do in WoW? I am sure that everyone has caught themselves just riding around Dalaran with their mount until an appropriate distraction appeared.
This was always easy to do, because Dalaran was simply structured, allowing you to “make a few rounds” without any issues.
Burning Crusade had Shattrath, you could run perfectly in a circle. BC was a great expansion.
Wrath of the Lich King had the old Dalaran, you could run perfectly in a circle. WotLK was a good expansion.
Cataclysm had no circle, the main hubs were Stormwind and Orgrimmar. Cataclysm was regarded as not a good expansion.
Pandaria had the two shrines without a circle. Pandaria was deemed a bad expansion during its “lifetime”, love for it came later.
Warlords of Draenor had the garrisons and thus no circle. We don’t need to talk about that.
Legion once again had Dalaran and thus a circle that you could enjoy. Legion was a huge success.
Battle for Azeroth has Boralus and Dazar’Alor. Both capitals lack a proper circular route where you can let your thoughts drift.
The obvious reason for the players’ dissatisfaction is therefore the missing circle.
In fact, I also belong to the people who occasionally liked to walk around in circles in Dalaran or join a mount parade. The effect of this should not be underestimated.
Because those who make a few rounds in the circle are also in the guild chat during that time and have the chance to be approached by fellow players to join a dungeon, for example.
Or in other words: The longer you rode aimlessly in circles, the higher the chance that you would be invited by fellow players to other activities or simply had fun in the guild chat.
And this, in turn, increased the time spent in the game and also the fun.
If the architects would just make a little adjustment to Boralus – World of Warcraft would be significantly helped.
P.S: The article may contain traces of irony and/or sarcasm.
The developers of Far Cry: New Dawn have commented on Twitter about the changes in gameplay mechanics. We will tell you what is different in the latest Far Cry installment.
On Twitter, the developer Sebastien Decant answered the question of how gameplay mechanics change in New Dawn. He provides some interesting insights into the latest installment of the saga.
Far Cry: New Dawn receives weapon ranks
This is what the developer says: “We have pushed the so-called “Light RPG” approach in the game to create more depth,” Decant says. “This way you can craft weapons that have ranks, and these ranks will be useful for fighting against enemies that also have ranks. We have implemented the brand new Prosperity home base where you can collect your characters and improve them with upgrades.”
What could this mean? Weapon ranks could become interesting in the meta of New Dawn. Certain weapons could be effective against one enemy rank while others might be more effective against another rank. However, this is purely speculation at this point.
This is new about outposts: Additionally, New Dawn features a completely new escalation system for outposts. With this system, you can decide whether you want to capture and hold an outpost or just loot it.
If you only want to loot the outpost, then the outpost will remain empty afterward, and your enemies will return stronger and with better defenses at some point. This presents new challenges, and you can loot the outpost again.
What could this mean? It remains to be seen what impact this escalation system will have. Why should I not just capture an outpost directly but only loot it? Perhaps my squad will lose strength at another location because I have to split them up over multiple outposts.
However, this remains speculation for now, and we have to wait for further information from the developers or the release on February 15.
A few days ago, two new videos featuring gameplay from New Dawn were also uploaded:
