In Season 7, Destiny 2 will nerf two of its strongest and most popular PvP weapons. A huge discussion around this upcoming nerf has erupted in the community. Here’s what fans think.
Which weapons will be nerfed? The two top hand cannons Luna’s Howl and Not Forgotten are about to be nerfed. As Bungie stated in their developer blog, these two weapons will be nerfed during Season 7.
You can read how exactly the changes will be here: How Destiny 2 plans to nerf two of its best PvP weapons soon
Why is this such a big deal?
Nerfs and buffs occur regularly in Destiny 2. However, few nerfs have sparked as many and as controversial discussions recently as the upcoming nerf of these two top weapons. But why? Particularly these four aspects are hotly debated:
The weapons are hard to earn: Firstly, these are two top PvP weapons. Both are tied to lengthy and challenging quests in PvP and are difficult for most Guardians to obtain. Nevertheless, many players try for them, some for several seasons.
Some have just earned these weapons or are currently close to doing so. Others will never earn them. Yet others are still struggling with them but are determined to see it through. Until now.
The weapons are too strong for many: The two hand cannons are dominant in the Crucible due to their perks. Their TTK is so short with the right playstyle that in the eyes of fans, few other primary weapons can keep up.
The meta is significantly shaped by both weapons. According to fans, there are hardly any alternatives if one wants to be competitive. While some expect exactly that from a top weapon and consider it a worthy reward, numerous other fans demand a nerf.
The weapons represent achievement: For many who have already earned one or both hand cannons, they have become a status symbol that says: “I busted my butt and completed this mammoth task. This is now my well-deserved reward.”
Most players spent a lot of time, blood, and sweat to earn these weapons. The effort is now deemed worthless in the eyes of many fans, even though Bungie continually emphasizes that they want to respect the players’ invested time.
The weapons also represent paid services: This is a major source of frustration for many fans: the two weapons symbolize so-called “Paid Carries” or “Boosting Services.”
Many who cannot earn the weapons themselves – whether due to lack of time or skill – pay third-party providers to fully earn the weapon or assist them on their way to this coveted prize. The demand has exploded until now. Up to 800 € or more could be spent (depending on progress) for both weapons – although it has become somewhat cheaper lately.
Many wished that Bungie would punish such players. But nothing has happened. Now some Guardians are taking satisfaction in the consequences of the nerf for the affected “cheaters”.
What do fans think about this nerf?
Just as there were various viewpoints in the discussions leading up to it, there are differing reactions and divided opinions after the announcement of the nerf. Here at MeinMMO, it was evident in the over 400 comments. On Reddit, the mood is not much different.
Some see the nerf calmly: Some, like user Sleeping-Ex, view the nerf calmly: “It’s actually a slap in the face for those who earned the weapon. On the other hand, the players who earned this weapon themselves are still strong in the Crucible and the ones who had to use a carry service to be able to use Luna still remain cannon fodder. So probably not much will change.”
Others are frustrated about the nerf: But there are also numerous players who cannot understand this nerf – whether they have the weapons or not.
For example, Alfalfa86 writes: “I don’t have either weapon. But I feel bad for everyone who has earned the guns legitimately or is still trying. They are the hardest weapons to get in the game, and they should be very strong and remain so.”
User Bakerman says: “This is unacceptable. I have spent a lot of hours on Luna and now it’s going to be nerfed. It’s just really frustrating.”
Some support the nerf: Conversely, some are looking forward to the nerf or consider it justified – like our reader Andreas Straub: “It’s about time! Such obviously overpowered weapons ruin the PvP.”
Marcel Brattig says: “I got Luna’s Howl last week, and it doesn’t really bother me. Quite the opposite. Playing the weapon myself reminded me how OP it is.”
Some fans would have preferred a different solution: Some believe a change is necessary but would have preferred a different form. Antester writes: “It’s true, the weapons are pretty powerful and dominant, and are actually more exotic than legendary, but why not counter weapons that everyone could get or a general adjustment of existing weapons?”
Some have lost motivation: Other Guardians lost all motivation or drive due to the nerf. User Matumba writes: “What’s the point? You take a long road to at least get Luna, and the team can’t find a better way than to nerf.”
The reader Psycheater sums up the attitude of many players well: “A top weapon should dominate. Otherwise, it’s just as effective as any other. Why should you bust your butt to get it when you can play any other HC?”
And for some, the schadenfreude outweighs: Some Guardians take schadenfreude towards players who spent a lot of money on these weapons – like our user Kcee Kay: “… the people who cheated or bought through Comp, I totally wish them the nerf. This bunch doesn’t deserve to run around with the NF.”

How is the new Stronghold “Sunken Cell” in Anthem received by the fans?
With the latest update, Anthem has received a fourth Stronghold. How is the new Stronghold “The Sunken Cell” being received by players?
This is the new Stronghold: With the latest Patch 1.1.0, a new Stronghold has been added to Anthem. “The Sunken Cell” is located in the Northeast of the map, slightly above the ruins of the Sanctum.
“The Sunken Cell” is the fourth Stronghold in Anthem and the first Stronghold added after launch. Players can enter this new dungeon after completing the campaign.
Many players have already extensively examined the new Stronghold.
Spoiler Warning: If you haven’t played the Stronghold yet and don’t want to know anything about the final boss, you might want to stop reading now!
What fans love about the new Stronghold: In the Anthem subreddit, many players praise the design of the new Stronghold. The atmosphere is great and overall a wonderful and impressive experience.
Particularly well-received is the final area where you face the boss: Players fly through a water-flooded tunnel upwards. The tunnel reveals a round arena surrounded by a rolling wall of waves. Above, a cloudy sky moves.
The final boss enters the area through this impressive wave wall.
What fans criticize about the Stronghold: Especially the final boss himself is criticized by some players. According to several posts, the enemy simply has too much HP. The boss “The Unfathomed” has 110,432,269 HP on the difficulty GM3, which is why he is already referred to as a “sponge” by some freelancers.
Furthermore, the boss has an ability that knocks players out of the Javelin with one hit – and he uses it very often and gladly.

There is also criticism of the mechanics in “The Sunken Cell”. Players are confronted with many familiar puzzles and have to once again collect echoes or stand in a green circle for an activity.
At one point, there is a color puzzle where players must coordinate entering platforms in a specific order. It is criticized that there is no text chat to quickly communicate with teammates.
Have you played the new Stronghold “The Sunken Cell” yet? How do you feel about the Stronghold?

That’s why WoW: Classic doesn’t appear the same as it did back then
Some memories of WoW Classic cannot be replicated – but Blizzard doesn’t even try.
The long-awaited Classic version of World of Warcraft is slowly but surely coming closer. After all, an internal beta test is already underway and the launch is scheduled for summer 2019 – so within the next two to five months.
However, the developers already announce that some experiences will not be identical to what players experienced back in World of Warcraft. They provide some examples for this.
Items in the last valid version: All loot will only be implemented in the latest available version in the game. Items will therefore have the stats they had back in patch 1.12 and will not change over time.
As an example, the developers mentioned the warrior helm from the T2 set, the “Helm of Wrath”. This item has changed multiple times between patch 1.0 and 1.12.
- At the beginning, the helm had willpower and agility as attributes.
- With patch 1.5, the helm instead gained stamina, strength, and defense as well as elemental resistances.
- With patch 1.7, the amount of defense on the helm was reduced.
- Patch 1.8 brought a bug fix, allowing the set bonus of the helm to apply to the ability “Whirlwind”.
- With patch 1.9, the helm received a new visual design.
This “history” will not repeat for the helm. Once it is available in the game, it will be implemented in its final version – that is, at the state of patch 1.12.
The Unknown will be missing: Blizzard emphasizes that it will be impossible for the developers to recreate the “unknown”. For example, when players enter Blackwing Lair and fight Nefarian, they already know in advance which weapon will drop there. They know the strength of the Obsidian Edged Blade, so this weapon will no longer be a surprise.
The same goes for the progress in many raids. Back then, it took a long time for players to figure out how to trigger the second phase of the boss fight against Nefarian – if players even got to that boss. Today, most Classic fans will know that a certain number of drakonids had to be killed before the next phase begins.
This unknown and mysterious element cannot be recreated because players cannot simply forget that knowledge.

Many First Kills were only due to bugs: A similar “problem” exists with many bosses in World of Warcraft. Numerous first kills were achieved only because players exploited bugs.
- Most first kills for Ragnaros (Molten Core) occurred only because a bug caused Ragnaros to cease fire the lava eruption after the raid had wiped.
- Chromaggus (Blackwing Descent) was nearly unbeatable because a debuff stacked infinitely on the tanks. Only if you brought Chromaggus to a specific ramp could all players avoid the debuffs.
- C’Thun was considered unbeatable for a long time until a hotfix by the developers reduced the number of summoned tentacles.
These and other bugs, which were a constant part of the player experience back then, will not exist in WoW Classic.
Do you think it’s good that WoW: Classic doesn’t reintroduce the same “bugs” that were present at the release of the respective content in the game? Or would such bugs and oddities belong to a “real” Classic experience?

This video game can allegedly detect Alzheimer’s disease earlier
Video games are not only good for entertainment. For example, it appears that the VR game Sea Hero Quest can help detect Alzheimer’s earlier.
What is Sea Hero Quest? In the VR game, you steer a boat through a kind of labyrinth. You must always find the fastest and most effective route to the goal. At the beginning, you are shown a map with checkpoints that you then have to navigate from memory.
Sea Hero Quest is developed by several universities, the studio Glitchers, and Deutsche Telekom.
A game that helps detect Alzheimer’s
How does the game help with Alzheimer’s detection? Individuals carrying the APOE4 gene, which increases the risk of developing Alzheimer’s, perform much worse in the game than those who do not have the gene.
Those at risk of Alzheimer’s tend to take a significantly less effective route with the boat, according to scientists.
The game thus identifies individuals who may not yet show the common symptoms of Alzheimer’s but apparently belong to the risk group. Those who perform poorly in the game may belong to the risk group.
How do the developers and researchers know it helps? The game was released in 2016 and has been downloaded 4.3 million times by individuals from over 190 countries.
According to scientists, the game is designed such that about 2 minutes of gameplay corresponds to five hours of laboratory examinations. Therefore, the team has now collected data equivalent to 17,600 years of research.
How can you play Sea Hero Quest? You need an Android smartphone or an iPhone as well as a VR headset. You can simply download the game from the respective app store.
The title is also available for download on the Oculus Rift VR headset.
Early detection is important
What do the researchers hope for? The team behind the game hopes to detect Alzheimer’s earlier. Because when memory problems occur, the disease is often already far advanced.
If Alzheimer’s can be detected in an early stage, other therapies are possible which may help mitigate the worst symptoms in later stages.
What do users think? Overall, the idea is received positively, as games are seen in a different light. It’s not always just about “fighting”; you can also do good with players.
rydamusprime17 mentions on Reddit: “I love hearing about the healing possibilities that video games offer. People always only see the negative…”

Dual Universe is now doing this to look like a modern MMORPG
The interesting space MMO Dual Universe is getting closer to release. Now the developers want to polish the graphics so that the online game can visually compete with current titles.
How is the graphics of the game improving? Dual Universe looks decent in the current alpha, but the developers want to improve its visual quality. More effects are intended to enhance the atmosphere and appeal to graphic enthusiasts.
- Planet textures: The textures of the planets are being improved. The level of detail is expected to be 16 times higher than before.
- Depth of field and motion blur: These two effects will support the artistic style. They are features commonly found in many modern games and enhance their visual quality.
- Volumetric clouds: When you fly into the orbit of a planet and then land on it, you will rush through clouds that actually look like clouds and give a “fluffy” impression. Additionally, clouds can visually distinguish themselves from each other and change their positions.

Better graphics with minimal performance loss
What about performance? The developers place great emphasis on minimizing performance loss when implementing these effects.
However, it is possible to disable the effects in the options if players do not want them or if performance suffers as a result.
Which software is the team using? The developer studio Novaquark will use the Yebis software from Silicon Studio to introduce the effects of motion blur, depth of field, bloom, and color adjustments.
This way, the actual team can continue to focus on the game’s development without wasting resources on effects that can simply be purchased.

Fans are excited and want to see something
When will the graphic improvements be implemented? The Alpha Update 0.15 will bring the new effects to the game. A precise release date for the update has not yet been announced.
What do the fans think? The players are looking forward to the innovations, although some find it unfortunate that Novaquark has not released new gameplay material. On paper, the improvements sound good, but how do they look in action?

- Requirement is increased from 5% of armor to 10%.
- Out of the Loop (Current Talent: Weapon damage is increased by 25%, but weapon handling is negatively affected by -35%)
- Damage bonus is reduced to +20%.
- Weapon handling is now only worsened by +25%

The changes to the Gear Sets
This is how the Gear Sets will be adjusted:
- Hard Wired – Now increases skill damage instead of duration of shock effects
- Ongoing Directive – Specialty ammunition (Fire, Shock, etc.) can now be activated for each equipped weapon. Additionally, you receive specialty ammunition through any kind of kill.
- True Patriot – Debuff colors now rotate every 2 instead of 4 seconds. When the 6-piece bonus is active, damage against enemies is increased by 50%.
These changes are likely to be implemented, as the Gear Sets are currently considered too weak by many. Further changes are not preferable for now, as the developers want to take a closer look at this.
Moreover, in Title Update 3, there will probably be 3 entirely new Gear Sets. What they can do, you can read in our summary.
The full patch notes for the 2nd testing phase can be found on the official Ubisoft site. There, changes to loot are also described.

How long will the PTS run? Currently, it is not known how long Massive wants to test Title Update 3.
When is the new update supposed to be released? The update is supposed to be released in May. More is not known.

Doublelift explains a big mistake from TSM after their final loss in LoL
The LoL pro Doublelift says that TSM did not handle their loss well. They had the wrong approach.
Who played in the finals? In the LCS Spring Finals, TSM played against Team Liquid. This match was hyped up significantly before the game, with team managers betting $100,000 that their team would win. Both teams have a massive fan base and are among the more well-known organizations in esports.
The match took place on April 13th, and after an exciting encounter, Team Liquid ultimately won the best-of-five series 3:2. This qualified them for the Mid Season Invitational 2019 – a significant reward was on the line.
What mistake did TSM make? Team Solo Mid has a documentary called “Legends” on YouTube that provides behind-the-scenes insights into professional games. In the latest episode from April 27th, they show the atmosphere after the loss in the Spring Final against Team Liquid.
Downcast. A somber mood, lowered heads characterize the team meeting. They talk about what went wrong. Who made a mistake.

The ADC of Team Liquid, Doublelift, watched the video during one of his streams and thinks that Team Solo Mid’s analysis in that moment is not helpful. “That’s one of the worst things you can do.”
This is how TSM should improve: In the stream, Doublelift explains to the viewers what he would do differently.
After losing a match series like that – and I’ve learned this from so many series losses in my life – one of the worst things you can do is talk about what went wrong. That’s pointless. You’ll never remember what you talked about.
Instead, one should just recognize “okay, this really sucks” and tell each other that they are there for one another, that they can learn from it, and support each other.
Doublelift believes that talking about it wouldn’t help much. “It’s already over, it’s already done. You can never change [the result].”
Why is this important? The pro explains that the game will look completely different in the next split or the next year. “League of Legends changes so frequently every year,” the pro explains.
The new champion Yuumi brings new gameplay mechanics to LoL, which could significantly change the game – she attaches to a champion and then becomes invulnerable:

Black Ops 4: Crazy new mode lets you play as a trash can soon
In Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 a popular fun mode from earlier installments is making its return – Prop Hunt. There, you can wreak havoc on the maps as a trash can or lamp.
What is the new mode about? The developers at Treyarch have confirmed a new mode for the multiplayer of Black Ops 4 and have recently teased it again. Prop Hunt is expected to go live on PS4 later this week, while other platforms will traditionally follow a week later.
What is Prop Hunt? Prop Hunt is essentially a fun mode for the multiplayer of some Call of Duty installments, and soon for Black Ops 4 as well.
This mode originally came as an April Fool’s joke in Modern Warfare Remastered but became so popular with fans that it was made a permanent part of the game. Prop Hunt also returned in Call of Duty: WW II and Black Ops 3 to the delight of many fans.

It was inspired by the mod of the same name for the PC version of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.
How does Prop Hunt work? There are two teams with different roles. One side plays as hunters, while the other plays as random props, or objects.
The props have a specific time to hide on the map. They take the form of various objects such as
- trash cans
- refrigerators
- crates
- chairs
- cars
- trees
- pianos
- barrels
- bicycles
- antennas
- or lamp posts
and must position themselves as unobtrusively as possible. Their form blends with the surroundings of the respective map and can be randomly changed several times. Moreover, the props can stun their opponents once per form to escape and move silently.

The hunters then set out with some weapons and unlimited ammunition and must find and shoot the props within the allotted time. If the hunters succeed, they win the round. If the props survive, they win the round. The first to win three rounds takes the match.
When is the mode expected to come? There is no exact date yet. Fans speculate that the new operation “Spectre Rising” in Black Ops 4 will start on April 30. In this context, it is also expected that Prop Hunt will make its way into the game.
How are fans reacting? The initial reactions have largely been positive. Some are already familiar with this mode from predecessors and are looking forward to being able to play this fun format in Black Ops 4 soon. Some are hearing about Prop Hunt for the first time but are curious to see how this new mode plays.
You can check out Prop Hunt in Call of Duty: WW II in this video:

- William, the left-back from VfL Wolfsburg, provided an assist and scored a goal in the match against Hoffenheim. Therefore, an Inform card is possible.
- Maximilian Arnold won the Man of the Match award in the game against Hoffenheim, adding a goal and an assist to the 4:1 victory, just like William. If he receives an Inform card, it would be his first.
- Jonathan Tah had an excellent performance against Augsburg and also scored a goal. Therefore, he might be looking forward to a spot in the Team of the Week on Wednesday.
The TOTW 33 will be released: On May 1st at 7 PM, the new Inform cards for Team of the Week 33 will be released. From then on, you will have a week to pull these cards from packs.
Remember that the Predictions are never 100% reliable. There can be significant differences from EA’s actual TOTW.

Ex-champ caught cheating at Magic: The Gathering – Allegedly marked cards
The Japanese Magic: The Gathering pro Yuuya Watanabe was disqualified at Mythic Championship 2 for playing with marked cards.
Who is Yuuya Watanabe? Yuuya Watanabe is a Japanese Magic: The Gathering player (of the real card game, not the successful computer game variant) and former world champion. He gained recognition through his five “Pro Tour” and “27 Grand Prix” victories as well as for his “Rookie of the Year” title, which he received in 2007. Furthermore, he won the “Player of the Year” award in 2009 and 2012.

Disqualification due to Card Marking
Why was he disqualified? During Mythic Championship 2 last weekend in London, the judges discovered during a review of the card decks in round 15 that some sleeves of his land cards were marked. There were eight cards involved:
- 3x Urza’s Mine and 1x Urza’s Tower had special markings
- 1x Urza’s Mine 3x Urza’s Tower also had special markings
The judges determined it was highly unlikely that these marks were due to natural wear. None of the other cards showed these signs. Therefore, a disqualification followed.
That’s why Watanabe was still noted: During a previous match, Yuuya Watanabe consulted the judges because there was some uncertainty regarding the card Sarhan that his opponent Andrew Watts played. Eventually, Yuuya used his card Snaresnipper and defeated Watts’ Sarhan.
However, a discussion among the judges followed, which ultimately declared the move invalid. The board was reset, and the game went into overtime, in which only five moves were allowed before the match ended in a draw.
Ultimately, Watanabe won, as he was lucky enough to draw a larger amount of land (the mana in the game) and thus play a powerful card.

Intentionally Marked or Natural Wear?
What about the markings on the cards? First of all, it is strictly prohibited to mark cards in Magic: The Gathering. However, cards and their sleeves wear out over time. This “natural” wear is generally not a problem.
Only when it is evident that there is an obvious marking that differentiates certain cards from others do the judges intervene.
Marked cards often lead to disqualifications in Magic: The Gathering tournaments.
What does Yuuya Watanabe say about the situation? The player has apologized to his fans. He explained that he does not know why these cards were marked. He only noticed it when the judges looked at the cards.
A Bitter Disappointment
What happens next? There will be further investigations. These could impact Watanabe’s participation in the Magic Pro League.
What do the fans think? There is great disappointment in the community. Yuuya Watanabe is considered one of the greatest players of Magic: The Gathering. That he is now alleged to have cheated is unimaginable for the fans.
bWoofles mentions on Reddit: “This is crazy! He has such a big name and is such a great player. This now raises doubts about his past achievements.”

Tournament winners put an end to Fortnite at the award ceremony – This is really bad PR
Two college students won a tournament at Fortnite . During the award ceremony, the duo stated that they do not like the direction of the game and that they are quitting Fortnite. The clip goes viral. This is really bad PR for Fortnite and Epic.
This is the scene: The players Mister.Lemon and KACO0 won the “Collegiate Starleague Nationals”, a league where college teams compete against each other. The two winners represented the University of Georgia.
At the award ceremony, the host asks for a statement about what the duo plans to do next, whether they are now going to switch to the online scene, but one of the players says:
“Honestly, we don’t really like the game anymore. I don’t want to lie, but we’ll see what happens. Epic is messing it up a bit with how they balance things.”
The host laughs during the response, makes “stop it” gestures, and then asks the other winner if he has a better answer.
But the partner says as well: “We’ve decided that we no longer want to play competitive Fortnite. So we will turn to other things.”
The host then adds: “I like that, you stop when you’re on top.”
After that, the two receive rings and a check for $6,000 (about €5,370).
That’s why the scene is a bit special: The clip has already gained over 414,000 views on Twitch, even though it has only been live for 13 hours. It is going viral.
On reddit , people are discussing the scene. Most users apparently applaud the students. There are comments like:
- It’s certainly bold to say something like that on stage.
- If the better players said something like that, then the developers clearly messed up.
- If it were about $600,000 instead of $6,000, they would surely keep playing.
Why is the clip getting so many views? Currently, Fortnite is receiving a lot of criticism in the competitive scene for some decisions. This clear statement during the tournament seems to have struck a chord.
Additionally, many likely view it as brave that the students are making a statement at such a formal occasion.

That’s why the clip is difficult for Epic: The symbolic power of the clip is strong – they are receiving an award, so they are the winners, yet they are still dissatisfied with Fortnite.
It can be assumed that the negative clip resonates particularly with a target audience of college students who play Fortnite. The clip is likely to be seen by many who follow Fortnite only tangentially and are not deeply embedded in the “competitive scene” where criticism of Fortnite has been loud for weeks.
If over 400,000 people see something like this, it sends a signal on a large stage. One can be curious whether Epic will change anything here. Recently, it did not look like it.
Just a few days ago, Epic commented on the ongoing criticism of their recent decisions. However, Epic only explained why they made the directional decisions and stated that they will not deviate from them.

Dead by Daylight could soon get the killer from “Scream”
Datamining and rumors are once again swirling around Dead by Daylight. Most assume that “Ghostface” from Scream will soon become the killer.
Although the “Mid-Chapter-Patch” for Dead by Daylight has not yet been released, there are already a lot of theories about who the next killer in the 4vs1 horror game could be. Current theories are pointing towards “Ghostface,” the killer from the Scream films.
What speaks for Ghostface? What speaks for Ghostface is primarily the long-held wish of the community. After all, the Scream films have long been cult classics and for many are the epitome of horror/slasher movies. However, there are also a few telling tweets that hint at Ghostface.
This tweet sparked the rumors: Last year, user TheWorldOfRSB tweeted at R.J. Torbert, expressing that he would love to see all the cool killers in Dead by Daylight and wondered if Ghostface could also be part of it.
R.J. Torbert is the designer of the Ghostface mask and holds the rights to the design. Therefore, it would make sense that the developers of Dead by Daylight had to negotiate with him as well.
Torbert reacted to the tweet last year and said:
“… I’m working on it … stay tuned … actually… when the time comes … I’ll let you make the first announcement…. how does that sound to you?”
Almost a year later, on April 1st, there was a tweet from R.J. Torbert, explaining:
“On May 28, TheWorldOfRSB will make a big announcement about Ghostface. One must always keep their promises.
The timing would be perfect: The date aligns perfectly with the next chapter of Dead by Daylight. Because if the current Mid-Chapter-Patch goes live next week, there would be exactly 4 weeks between the announcement and the next PTR. The latter would then be active for two weeks and go live in mid-June – thus, Dead by Daylight would be perfectly in sync with the rhythm the developers have maintained for a year.
The only downside is that the tweet comes from April 1 and may just be a non-resolved April Fool’s joke. However, this seems unlikely.
What speaks against Ghostface? However, there are also a few arguments that speak against the Scream killer. Dead by Daylight already has a killer with Legion that has a very similar concept. Just as Ghostface is a different killer in each Scream film, “The Legion” from Dead by Daylight is a killer with many faces. For many fans, the release of these two killers would be too close together because they have almost identical concepts.
However, this was not an issue with Leatherface either. This killer from Texas Chainsaw Massacre has the same concept as the “Hillbilly” – essentially, two very similar killers.
Datamining finds first sound files: First concrete hints of a new killer have already been detected in the files of the upcoming patch. There are new sound files that may relate to the new killer and its abilities. However, many players note that the sounds would rather fit something alien-like. You’d better listen to them yourself:
As new details become known or an official announcement is pending, we will, of course, keep you informed.
Which killer would you most like to see next in Dead by Daylight? Who would fit well into the world of the Entity?
Have you seen that the cutest killer in Dead by Daylight is getting nerfed?

Destiny 2 loses more high-ranking developers – Fans are worried
After two top talents have already left Bungie in recent weeks, Destiny 2 now has more high-profile departures to report.
More departures at Bungie: Although personnel changes are nothing unusual in the gaming industry, some fans of Destiny 2 are still worried.
Because more familiar faces in important positions have left the studio. Just recently, the sandbox designers and balancing experts Josh Hamrick and Jon Weisnewski left.
These developers have now left Bungie
In total, three developers have recently left the studio.
Who is it about? The most notable departure is probably former raid design lead Joe Blackburn. He announced his last day at Bungie on April 26. He was promoted to design lead of Destiny 2 only a few months ago.
In the community, Blackburn was very popular. He was significantly responsible for the direction and design of the Destiny 2 raids such as Last Wish and served as the spokesperson for the raid team in numerous live streams and ViDocs.
Simultaneously with Blackburn, another key developer has left – senior writer of Destiny 2, Jill Scharr. She has been responsible for the story and lore of the game for over 4 years.
A few days ago, it was revealed that Claude Jerome, who was seen in several live streams and ViDocs for Forsaken and the Annual Pass, has also left the studio.
He was employed as a staff gameplay designer at Bungie and was responsible for combat design, among other things. Although there wasn’t a tweet or official message, his Twitter profile states in the description “…formerly at Bungie…”.
Why the departures? Such personnel changes are common in this industry. However, due to the separation between Bungie and Activision, many fans are nervous and see the numerous departures of late as a bad sign.
The community has its own theories. Some suspect that the developers in Destiny 2 or due to the separation from Activision see no future and are looking for something else. Others speculate that some of these people may have fallen victim to the restructuring at Bungie.

Others emphasize that it is common in developer circles to dedicate oneself to new projects after a certain time. Additionally, the work on the content of the Annual Pass for year 2 is now almost complete. Developers often use reaching such milestones to begin new career chapters.
And at least in the case of Joe Blackburn, this seems to actually be the case. He openly contradicted the numerous conspiracy theories and statements like “Crisis at Bungie”. He justified his departure with a great new opportunity that has now opened up for him in Santa Monica.
Although Blackburn did not get more specific, numerous high-profile developer studios are based in Santa Monica – including
- Sony Santa Monica
- Riot Games
- Treyarch
- or Naughty Dog
How the other two departures, Jerome and Scharr, will fare is currently hard to assess. However, Claude Gerome has retweeted a lot of things from the Sony Santa Monica Studio. Some fans therefore assume that he might possibly be settling at Sony.

Dank des Workshops in Overwatch kann Bastion bald Torbjörns verschießen
The Overwatch community has taken a closer look at the new Workshop and created their own game modes. We want to briefly introduce the funniest of them.
For a few days now, there has been a new PTR from Overwatch with a fresh mode where fans can let loose. In the Workshop, players create their own game modes or even prototypes of their own heroes. The most interesting and funniest creations so far we want to briefly introduce to you – this includes a paintball mode, a MOBA variant, and finally a new hero that shoots with Swedes.
Paintball with Ana
The player JinkoNorray introduced his modified version of “Ana Paintball” on Reddit. It is played on the Eichenwald map in deathmatch mode. All players must play Ana and a hit is immediately fatal. But apart from that, there are some changes to keep the tension up.
- If you stay in zoom mode for more than 3 seconds, you will be stunned.
- If you reach 15 kills, you will be “on fire” and easier to spot for other players.
- At 20 kills, players are revealed and displayed through walls.
- If you are only 1 kill away from victory, you will get an additional skull symbol.
- The last kill for victory can only be made with a sleep dart.
Enhanced Ana Paintball mode I made in the workshop! I added jump pads and more! from r/Overwatch
If you enjoy funny sniper duels, you will love this mode once it is available on the live servers. The mode got its “Paintball” name because every hit is fatal – just like in paintball.
Overwatch as MOBA
Starhunter999999 has done something completely different and tried to turn Overwatch into a MOBA. So far, it works surprisingly well, even if some features are still missing. For example, each team has a main base and several towers. The towers must be destroyed before the base can be taken out.
However, the mode has even more MOBA features:
- Using an emote teleports the player back to their own base.
- There is a leveling system with experience points. Players can upgrade three different attributes:
- Damage
- Health Points
- Movement Speed
- A healing fountain in the middle of the map ensures constant action
This mode is not fully complete yet. Currently, it is not possible to program minions that move along their “lanes” in waves. Here, fans hope that more options will be made available.
A Bastion that fires Torbjörns
Lastly, something rather silly. The player DarkyPaky has created a new “hero” that many players have surely secretly wished for. Don’t you think it’s unfair that Torbjörn always throws his turrets, but there is no turret that throws Torbjörn?
If so (and what other answer could there be?), then this clip is for you. DarkyPaky has created a Bastion in siege mode that fires Torbjörns.
I made bastion Fire Torbjorns that lock onto their target! from r/Overwatch
The Torbjörns are permanently in “Overload” mode and attack enemies with melee attacks. And because that is not enough, the Torbjörns are also homing.
If that isn’t a promising hero concept, we don’t know what is.
How do you like these game modes and the possibilities that the Workshop offers? Will there surely be cool projects coming out of this? Or do you find it rather silly and annoying?
There is also a “Battle Royale” mode available there already.

Shroud shows how powerful the new Longbow in Apex Legends really is
After a brief hiatus from Apex Legends, top streamer Shroud has returned to the game. He demonstrated live on Twitch why he is considered one of the best players, single-handedly taking out a squad with the revamped Longbow DMR.
This is what Shroud did: Initially, Shroud wanted to take a break from Apex Legends but then returned to the game. In one match, Shroud eliminated an entire opposing team by himself in just a few seconds.
He only used a Thermite grenade, the Longbow DMR, and an R-99. Both are weapons that rank high on the tier list. He quickly took out one player with the Longbow after placing Thermite in the area.
He then dispatched the second opponent with impressively good track aim from the R-99, before eliminating the last player of the squad with the Longbow.
Shroud celebrates in his stream: “That was extremely average, but I just wanted to go a little crazy.”
Why is the Longbow so good? The scene shows that the Longbow DMR is currently an extremely strong weapon with enormous damage output even at medium range in Apex Legends.
In the last big patch, it received a minor overhaul:
- the firing rate was increased from 1.2 to 1.6
- the base magazine size was increased by 1
- the magazines got even larger
- Level 1: from 6 to 8
- Level 2: from 8 to 10
- Level 3: from 10 to 12
- the recoil was reduced and damage to leg shots is now less severely diminished
Due to this update, the Longbow has become one of the most popular weapons, now often referred to as “overpowered”. Shroud demonstrated in another scene that the Longbow can even eliminate opponents with a single shot early in the game.
What use are the buffs to the Longbow? Of course, the Longbow, as a sniper rifle, still requires good aiming skills. However, with the higher cadence, it is now easier to hit with the Longbow.
On consoles, there is even a way to aim more accurately. Some fans on reddit recommend using the “Fine Aim” setting for aiming. (via Dexerto)
“Fine Aim” is specifically designed for small adjustments while aiming, while the also popular “Steady” tries to combine control and quick aiming.
The Longbow is a topic of controversial discussion among many players. Other topics receive a lot of praise:

The weakest items in The Division 2 have real counterparts
Bad equipment from real life served as inspiration for the worst gear in The Division 2. How did that happen?
This gear is about: Have you ever looked at the item descriptions of the white starter gear in The Division 2? If not, you’re probably like most fans.
Most players likely missed these details. The vast majority of agents simply wanted to get better gear and quickly replaced the white equipment.
There are some texts that might make you smile – especially if you have served yourself.
What do the descriptions say? For example, the mask description says: “Should protective masks really let through so much dust?”
The gloves state: “Always a bit damp, even after drying.”
Here are some more examples:
- Backpack: Any other backpack would be more comfortable to carry
- Body armor: Might stop a bullet. But cardboard can do that too, if you’re lucky
- Holster: Keeps the pistol almost always where it should be
- Knee pads: Primarily protect the shins instead of the knees
In principle, all of these texts suggest: “Please replace me as soon as possible” and do not show the starter gear in a particularly good light. That was probably intentional and had a reason.
How did these descriptions come about? The reason for the quirky descriptions of the starter gear in The Division 2 was revealed by the game designer Rasmus Künstlicher in the current edition of “State of the Game.” Künstlicher was personally responsible for these texts.
The descriptions are based on his experiences during military service. The worst gear in the game – i.e. the beginner sets – therefore have real-life counterparts. The texts are inspired by stories that Künstlicher experienced during his training and deployment in Afghanistan with poor standard military equipment.
For example, his gloves caused a lot of frustration. They were always damp – no matter how long you dried them. No one ever understood why. His knee pads always slipped and protected more of his shins than his knees, which “will never be the same again.” The backpacks were anything but comfortable.
Not everything was bad, Künstlicher says. However, the most formative experiences of that time are now reflected in the item descriptions of the starter gear.
While we’re on the subject of gear:

Who will be the new raid boss in Pokémon GO? Here are the hottest candidates
Tomorrow, on April 29, Giratina will disappear from the raids in Pokémon GO. The question remains which Pokémon will take its place. We present to you some candidates.
What are these candidates? Many players have already theorized about which legendary Pokémon will enter the raids in May. Some speculate about completely new Pokémon from the 4th generation or returning ones that might become Shiny.
So far, these are just theories. Nothing has been confirmed yet. By tomorrow, April 29, at 10 PM, we will know more. Giratina will then depart.
These are the hottest candidates
The return of the legendary cats: In May, Raikou, Suicune, and Entei will disappear from the research breakthrough, where they have been available for months.
One might also explain the disappearance by stating that they are returning to raids and will be available as Shiny. They are not currently available as Shiny. It is quite possible that a big cat, or even all of them at once, will appear in raids.
The return of the three Regis: Similar to the legendary cats, Regice, Registeel, and Regirock might also return. They have also been removed from the research breakthrough.
It is therefore also conceivable that they will return to raids as Shinys.
The first appearance of the Lake Trio: The Lake Trio Selfe, Tobutz, and Vesprit already caused a stir at the Christmas event, where the 3 Pokémon appeared in the announcement image for the event. However, they have not appeared yet.
It is certainly possible that Niantic will gradually introduce the 3 Pokémon from the 4th generation into the game.
Regigigas comes to Pokémon GO: Another hot candidate is another Regi. Regigigas is a Normal type and can know a variety of different attacks.
It is, alongside the Lake Trio, the only legendary Pokémon from the 4th generation that is still missing.
This Pokémon is also likely to come: For the upcoming Ground event, which starts on April 29, Groudon might return as a raid boss.
To do this, players must have collected enough trash beforehand. The current interim status was still not sufficient. If 7000 players collect trash, Groudon will appear in the raids.
These Pokémon are unlikely to come: Pokémon like Darkrai or Arceus belong to the mysterious Pokémon. They have always been brought into the game with special research or through EX raids. Therefore, one can expect less of these Pokémon.
Which Pokémon do you wish to see as the next raid boss?
Have you noticed the changes with the eggs?

How BioWare Plans to Improve Anthem: Fixing Bugs, Reworking Loot, Introducing Test Servers
In Anthem , BioWare presented their plans on how they want to improve the game in the coming weeks. Instead of new features, they are addressing persistent issues with loot and bugs. A test server is expected to be introduced.
Last week, BioWare explained in a post (via reddit), how the upcoming period for Anthem is supposed to unfold and what BioWare’s main focus is.
The reporting has mainly focused on the negatives: Numerous features planned for April will not appear on schedule. Also, the critical feature Cataclysm, scheduled for May, seems to be at risk.
But what is BioWare doing instead? What does BioWare prioritize?

Test server coming: As a first measure, BioWare plans to introduce a test server where players can test new content before it goes live.
The server is called PFE (Player Feedback Environment). Through the server, players will have the opportunity to test new content and features and then inform BioWare about what is enjoyable and what is not.
The test server for Anthem is initially planned only for PC. This suggests that there may be a chance to expand it to PS4 and Xbox One in the long term.
Changing communication: BioWare states that they do not want to talk about things too early anymore.
There are too many factors that could lead to plans being changed again, such as bugs, stability issues, player feedback, or difficulties with a feature.
Therefore, BioWare wants to talk about things only when they are almost finished.

BioWare’s focus: Currently, BioWare believes it is best to focus on four things:
- Fixing bugs
- Increasing stability
- Improving the flow of the game
- And improving the loot in the endgame of Anthem and the progression systems
They are currently working on these aspects and have therefore decided to postpone the features. As soon as they have more information, they want to share it.

Clear parallels to The Division 2
What’s behind it: BioWare is essentially doing the same as Massive did with The Division 2. A planned content update for The Division 2 was also postponed, a test server was set up, and Massive aims to address the nagging issues in a large patch and change half of the game.
However, the situation differs in two important aspects:
- The Division 2 had a “strong campaign” and a functioning loot system
- Additionally, the test server for The Division 2 is already live, and there is a rough timeline for what to expect next and a fairly detailed plan for how The Division 2 will change
Although Anthem was released a month before The Division 2, it is currently far behind. One of the major criticisms following BioWare’s plan presentation is the absence of a timeline indicating when progress should come.
However, BioWare apparently wants to avoid mentioning such a timeline because they fear they might have to change plans and disappoint players as a result.

Borderlands 3 has 25 times more unique weapon sounds than part 2 - Wants even more
The weapons in Borderlands 3 will have over 7500 different and unique sounds, says a developer. That is 25 times more than the predecessor Borderlands 2, and even more are planned.
The Senior Sound Designer of Gearbox Software, Joshua Davidson, tweeted about the development of Borderlands 3. According to Davidson, as of April 28, 2019, Borderlands 3 is supposed to already have over 7500 unique .wav files (audio files) for weapons, and the developers are “not finished yet.”
As a comparison, Davidson draws Borderlands 2. The predecessor was released with only 300 audio files that were meant to cover all weapons and manufacturers.
What does this mean for the game? Borderlands 3, like its predecessors, works with many different weapons, ammo types, and elements. The well-known element “Slag” from part 2 has been replaced with a new element called “Radiation”.
Thanks to the audio files that weapons are now getting, all firearms and presumably the elements will have their own distinctive sounds.
This primarily serves to make the weapons even more unique in the game. Perhaps some fans will even choose their weapon in the game based on the very special “PEW” sound.
What weapons are there? The exact number of weapons is still unknown, but there are supposed to be over a billion different weapons. Nine weapon manufacturers have already been introduced whose weapons you can acquire in Borderlands 3 and which have unique properties.
The weapon manufacturers provide you with various types of weapons. In the predecessor, these were archetypes like:
- Sniper rifles
- Assault rifles
- Shotguns, etc.
The weapons of a special manufacturer look very unique and may become very important in Borderlands 3. Furthermore, weapons have already been shown in the trailer that have legs and can chase their opponents and apparently even insult them.
Just here, there is great potential for dozens of audio files that could give the “guns with legs” some profane words in their barrels.
Are you also excited about Borderlands 3?

Those who were banned for nude mods in WoW might get away with a warning
Recently, several players in World of Warcraft were banned for using partially harmless mods. These bans have now been lifted by Blizzard, provided the mods were indeed harmless.
Who was unbanned? Players who used certain graphic mods in World of Warcraft are likely to have been freed from the recently imposed ban. The ban has been converted into a warning, which will instead be issued to players.
It concerns the use of certain mods that alter the character models of World of Warcraft. Although Blizzard does not specify any examples, it likely includes among other things:
- Nude mods, for example for specific roleplay
- Adjustment of female breasts
- Modification and alteration of certain armor

Who remains banned? According to Blizzard, mods for automating processes and abilities were also discovered during the ban wave. At least all users of these “bots” remain banned.
Why were players banned at all? The original ban due to these nude mods was justified by Blizzard with “botting”, meaning the use of third-party software that automated processes.
The bans for many players were imposed because the visual adjustments were also used to gain a gameplay advantage, not just for cosmetic change. Some players have used the mods to:
- Make flags larger in battlegrounds and make carriers easier to spot
- Make herbs appear larger for easier gathering
- Invade restricted areas
These players received bans from Blizzard ranging from 30 to 549 days (via wowhead). Most players received a ban of 180 days. The use of any such mods is generally prohibited and has so far, if at all, only been tolerated.

This is what Blizzard says: In response to the bans, Community Manager Kaivax in the official WoW forum made a statement. He writes:
Upon closer inspection, we noticed that some of the banned accounts had merely made client-side model adjustments. Therefore, this time we would prefer to respond with a warning rather than a ban.

What should I do if I am affected? Your ban should have been lifted by now. If that is not the case, and you really only used harmless mods, you should contact support.
However, using such software still violates the terms of service of World of Warcraft. Therefore, Blizzard expects players to remove the corresponding software. Otherwise, the accounts will be subject to further actions.
If such software is detected on the accounts again, Blizzard will sanction it this time with higher penalties, regardless of the type of mod.
Some of the mods have simply changed the appearance of armor to make it look less silly:
