Now you have reached Level 70 in Season 17 in Diablo 3, but what comes next? We will show you what steps to take as a fresh character at Level 70. This is how you prepare for the endgame.

What happens after Level 70? The maximum level your character can reach in Diablo 3 is Level 70. Then you have unlocked all skills. Further experience points will go into your Paragon levels.

After you have reached Level 70 with or without the Level Guide for Season 17, the game really begins. The leveling phase is a hurdle that everyone must overcome.

The first steps with Level 70

What comes next? Once you have collected the last experience points and unlocked the big 70 on your screen, it’s time for your seasonal journey. Because it rewards you with Haedrig’s gifts.

The seasonal journey and the first set

The seasonal journey in Season 17: The journey is divided into several chapters. If you complete them, you will receive Haedrig’s gifts. These are available for completing chapters 2, 3, and 4.

With your equipment that you still have left from leveling, completing chapters 2 and 3 should not be a problem. This grants you 4 set pieces of your class set and unlocks powerful bonuses. Equip these items and switch to the difficulty Torment 4 to be able to complete the tasks of chapter 4.

This is how it continues with the 6-piece set bonus: Once you have activated the 6-piece bonus of your class set, you should increase the difficulty again. With a completed set, Torment 6 should be easily achievable.

At least in Torment 6, you will now complete Nephalem Rifts. In the normal Nephalem Rifts, you will receive keys for Greater Nephalem Rifts among other rewards for defeating the Rift Guardian.

Here you can now switch between small and large Nephalem Rifts. This way you gradually exchange your yellow equipment for legendary items and become stronger and stronger.

Which sets are good?

Which set should you play? There is a lot of choice when it comes to equipment. If you are dissatisfied with the set from Haedrig’s gift and want to compete at the top of the leaderboard, check out which are the strongest builds for your class.

Once you have chosen a build, you will also know which items belong in Kanai’s Cube. So visit Act 3 and unlock Kanai’s Cube.

At this point, you have a complete set that you can either keep or play to farm a new set.

Kadala in Diablo 3 – What should you buy?

How to use Kadala? For completing various activities like Greater Nephalem Rifts, you will be rewarded with Blood Shards. You can exchange these at the NPC Kadala, who is located near the Nephalem Obelisks in the capital of each act.

With her, you can get items for every item slot. The exchanged items can even be legendary or belong to sets. Some items are inexpensive, while others are more expensive.

At Kadala, it is especially worthwhile to exchange off-hand weapons and armor. To obtain legendary weapons, rings, or amulets, it is worth upgrading these as yellow items in Kanai’s Cube. At Kadala, these cost a lot of Blood Shards.

Grinding, Grinding, Grinding – This is how the endgame begins

Once you have gathered the base gear you want to play with, you adjust your difficulty level and enter normal and Greater Nephalem Rifts. Here you will gradually find better gear. This can happen in the form of ancient or primal items.

You want to reach Level 70 quickly in Season 17 in Diablo 3 or speed level? Then use this level guide for S17.

What is it about? At the start of a new season in Diablo 3, all seasonal characters start again at Level 0. Then the race begins for players to reach the maximum level 70 as quickly as possible with their favorite classes.

In this guide, we show you effective ways to quickly reach the maximum level. Once this hurdle is overcome, the focus in Diablo 3 shifts to farming new gear and battling through the Greater Nephalem Rifts.

Starting with a Challenge Rift

Why start with a Challenge Rift? There are various ways to approach the start of a new season. One of them begins with a Challenge Rift. This rewards you at the very start of the season with items like Blood Shards that you can exchange with Kadala for important weapons or armor.

What are Challenge Rifts?

With Level 40, you’ll have enough materials to upgrade the blacksmith and craft a Level 70 weapon, with its level requirement reduced by 30 levels.

Where to start the Challenge Rift? In the menu under the “Start Game” section, select the “Settings” button. Under the Adventure Mode, you’ll find the button for Challenge Rifts that you can start from there. But be sure to create a seasonal character and select it before starting the portal from the menu.

Important: For the portal to be worth it at the start of the season, you must not have completed it in this week; otherwise, there will be no reward.

Quick solo leveling in Season 17 with patch 2.6.5

How to level effectively? There are many methods to level up quickly. Some prefer to play through the Nephalem Rifts with their friends, while others farm with massacre bonuses. Which way you choose is up to you.

Leveling with massacre bonuses is often faster, but it can also get boring over time. It is more challenging to maintain your massacre bonus than simply running through Nephalem Rifts.

Players report that with the following two guides, depending on monster luck, it takes 1.5 to 4 hours to reach Level 70.

Before you start, you should choose a class that you enjoy. You can find the best classes and builds from Season 17 in Diablo 3 here in the tier list.

Levels 1-4

• Create a seasonal character
• Optional – Complete a Challenge Rift
• Start a game in Adventure Mode on the Master difficulty
• Get the Templar’s weapon in town and hire him
• Press F1 (console players open the inventory) and equip any companion. He will collect gold for you
• Now complete a boss bounty. Ideally, it would be Zoltun Kull. Maghda, the Skeleton King, or Azmodan are also fine

Levels 4-70

• Depending on your gear, you can now adjust the difficulty of the game. It is advisable to start on “Hard”. If monsters still fall extremely quickly, you can increase the difficulty
• Now start farming massacre bonuses (video about this further down in the post)
• The area “Halls of Agony Level 3” is recommended, and if your character is about Level 20, the Fields of Misery are also a good option
• At Level 8, get a 2H axe in town for a damage boost
• Every 5 levels, get a new weapon
• Between Level 10 and Level 15, get rings and an amulet from the vendor in town. The items should ideally have “+ damage” affixes
• At Level 40, craft a Level 70 weapon at the blacksmith. Then lower the level requirement at the Mystic. You will need the corresponding materials for that.
• If you are successfully using the Level 70 weapon, you can now use it at Level 40 and simultaneously increase the difficulty. Possibly to Torment 1
• Until Level 70, continue with massacre bonuses.
• Alternatively: If you do not feel like massacre bonuses, you can instead battle through Nephalem Rifts.

Speedlevel Guide for Groups in Season 17 with Patch 2.6.5

Leveling in groups is hardly different from solo leveling. However, it has been shown that Nephalem Rifts are more popular here than massacre bonuses.

Levels 1-7

• Start your game on the Master difficulty
• Grab the weapons of the corresponding companions
• Split into the various bounties from Act 1
• Complete the bounty to receive the plans for Cain’s / Born’s set

Levels 8-70

• At Level 8, go to town to craft a 2H axe at the blacksmith
• As a group, you now don’t switch to massacre bonuses, but to Nephalem Rifts.
• This way, you save time: Just before the Rift boss appears, one player teleports back to town. He stays there ready to close the portal as quickly as possible. He then only comes back to loot in the rift.
• In the time between two portals, you can craft better gear. It is worth getting a new weapon every 5 levels.
• At Level 40, go back to town to craft a weapon if you’ve earned enough materials with the Challenge Rift. So craft a Level 70 weapon at the blacksmith, get “level requirement reduction by 30 levels” at the Mystic, and then use the weapon
• After that, you play the Nephalem Rifts until Level 70. If you have a Level 70 weapon, you can turn up the difficulty.

General tips for leveling in Season 17 and Patch 2.6.5

Which gems to use in the helm? While leveling, use red gems in head armor to gain more experience points

Here many XP awaits: Events with cursed chests often spawn many enemies that can easily be killed – experience points await you here.

Tricks for leveling up: Especially in the early levels, it is important to stay near enemies when leveling up. When you reach a higher level, your character will emit an explosion which deals AOE damage and thus inflicts damage on nearby enemies.

Keep these items: Puzzle Rings and Bovine Bardiches are best kept to put them into Kanai’s Cube at Level 70. Strong items await you at higher torment levels at Maximum Level.
