With the Iceborne expansion, a new dynamic difficulty level will come to Monster Hunter: World. It is supposed to adapt to the number of players in a group.
How does the difficulty work in MHW? Currently, the difficulty of monsters in Monster Hunter: World is divided into two levels: for solo players and for groups. It has not mattered whether there are 2 people in a group or 4, the monsters were of equal strength.
This difficulty was also fixed and did not change when, for example, multiple players left a group and the last one had to fight against a reinforced monster alone.
How does the new difficulty work? The new system will be introduced with the release of Iceborne. The new dynamic difficulty level will adjust to the number of players in the group.
The monsters will therefore be of different strengths depending on whether you:
Play alone
In a duo with a friend
Or in a group of 3 to 4 players
The difficulty level will even change automatically in battle after Iceborne if a player, for example, lost connection and drops out of the group.
This change will not only affect the Iceborne expansion but also the base game Monster Hunter: World.

The tensions between the US government and Iran continue to grow. Now the video game League of Legends has been drawn into the conflict. In certain parts of the world, playing is no longer allowed.
This is how the ban became known: Players from the LoL community shared screenshots on Friday, June 21, with a notice from the LoL client.
It reads: “Due to US laws and regulations, players in your country currently cannot access League of Legends. These restrictions may be changed by the US government. If that happens, we look forward to welcoming you back to the Rift.”
It is said that this message appears on every service that is somehow related to League of Legends. Affected are players in Iran and Syria.
It seems that Riot Games itself has nothing to do with the decision. This is presumably a matter for the US government, where the LoL makers have little say.
How did this measure come about? The ban was enacted after a drone from the US military was apparently shot down by the Iranian army in recent days. This incident intensified the tensions between Iran and the US.
As a side effect, it seems that there are now these problems in League of Legends for players from Iran and Syria.
The sanctions imposed on Iran state that no company in that country can trade with the US and that any company trading with Iran is also in trouble.
League of Legends finances itself through microtransactions, which are considered a form of trade. Therefore, LoL is apparently affected by the sanctions in these locations.
Why is this particular? This is an extraordinary event that has rarely been seen before. Blocking civilians’ access to video games due to active disputes between countries does not happen very often.
As Dotesports reports, many Syrian and Iranian players are now expressing their despair. They say that this ban harms neither politicians nor others with power. But rather the civilians living in a war-torn country who already have difficulty accessing video games.

In the final stretch, Blizzard manages to alienate the German fans of World of Warcraft Classic. All they want is what they have always had.
The mood that has built up among the fans of World of Warcraft Classic in recent months couldn’t be better. No matter which stream you watch or which veteran you ask: The beta of WoW Classic is exactly what the long-time fans of “Vanilla” have wished for. With the release almost within reach, it was hardly possible to ruin the positive mood.
And yet, Blizzard has now managed, with a simple, very simple announcement, to frighten a large part of the potential German player base: WoW Classic will not have server division by languages. So there will be no German servers.
Fans of WoW Classic are a bit like the dog in the back seat during a car ride. The eager panting is getting louder and the tail wags faster because they are driving the long-missed route to the beautiful city park. But at the last moment, the Blizzard driver looks over his shoulder and winks wickedly to take the exit towards the vet.
That’s about how the fans of WoW Classic currently feel. At the finish line, Blizzard somehow managed to reverse much of the anticipation and positive mood.
German players have been spoiled, and now it’s backfiring
Why realms where your own language is predominantly spoken are so important for players, only a few understand (considering the total number of players). Germany and France have always been exceptions here, as they were the only players to get realms in their native languages.
However, this very peculiarity has led to German and French players considering this to be the “standard”. Anyone who has played on a German realm for the last 15 years and found 99% only German-speaking players there can hardly detach themselves from that comfort. And it is more than just comfort. It has become an integral part of the gaming experience, the wonderful feeling of being able to understand every other player and share a form of communication.
Being able to crack a silly joke in the general chat, writing a question in German in the trade chat, and getting many German responses, or just following a bit of the “trashtalk” in the trade channel in one’s mother tongue. All of this was an essential part of Classic, a fundamental part of the gaming experience.
So in the end, the question remains why Blizzard even comes to the conclusion that there should be no German (but also no French) servers when they have existed in “Retail” WoW for almost 15 years. Here one can only speculate.
It might be possible that Blizzard assumes there aren’t enough “pure German-speaking” players to populate a PvE, PvP, and RP server in the long term. After all, it should be clear that after the initial hype, interest in Classic will wane for many players who just wanted to have a quick look.
To prevent as many “dead” servers as possible, only “mixed” realms are being brought in, which will ultimately probably mean “English”, after all, it is the most widely spoken language.
Fact is, the spoken language on a server is a big draw for many Classic players and has contributed to the nostalgic memories.

Sure – today English would only present a serious barrier to me in roleplaying. Yet, it just doesn’t feel “the same” when WoW suddenly offers no German servers anymore. Because that experience is too deeply anchored in my memories and thus also in my expectations – completely independent of whether Blizzard made this decision with sensible arguments.
It is astonishing and also sad to see that Blizzard is making such a crash landing on the home stretch to WoW Classic, which unfortunately affects two relatively small player groups: the Germans and the French. Because we have gotten used to the “special treatment” of a native language server, we do not want to miss that anymore.

The rolling droids, Droidekas, are coming into the game

Items that allow warriors to live on after death likely cause a stir as they are stackable.

Nerf is coming, but in the next scheduled patch in July
This is what Bungie says now: At GuardianCon, Game Director Luke Smith himself answered a player’s question about the wolf situation in Destiny 2.

In The Division 2 there is an absurd situation: Players in strong clans sometimes lack access to top items, as the clan vendor’s offerings vary. In the past two weeks, the vendors for weaker clans have had the better items available. Some agents leave their clans just to go shopping.
That is the problem: Last week, the clan vendor in The Division 2 had a strong chest armor available. It provided “30%” bonus armor.
The problem is: To access the vest, one had to be in a clan around level 14. So relatively low.
If one’s clan level is too high, they could not purchase the vest. Their own clan vendor in The Division 2 simply did not offer it.
Players do not even see such items; most do not even realize what they are missing out on, even if they diligently check all vendors.

This has happened again this week. The clan vendor has a decent vest available after the vendor reset from Friday night to Saturday, but only for players in clans around level 25 – those significantly above or below that level do not see it.
Most frequent players are now around clans level 30.
The shopping hunt for the “good roll”
What are “strong items” in The Division 2? Vendor offers revolve around purchasing items with the highest possible “rolls” on individual stats. Because that one good stat can be pulled to your own items by “recalibrating”.
The stats are within fixed parameters and players look for items that are at the top end of the scale. This is referred to as “God rolls.”
Otherwise, clan level does not have significant effects on the actual stats; the item score scales with the player level, not with the clan.

Dragons are not a good idea to tackle alone.

The director of the new film “Bond 25” insists that he is not holding up production to play Red Dead Redemption 2 on PlayStation 4. However, he gives people a warning.
What are the allegations? Last week, a tabloid and other sources accused the director of the new Bond film of preferring to play on PS4 rather than shooting the film.
The new Bond film starring Daniel Craig has no title yet; it is simply referred to as “Bond 25.”
So wrote the publication TheSun: “Mutiny on the James Bond film set because the director neglects filming to play PlayStation. Then he demands the team to work overtime.”
The article states that director Cary Fukunaga arrived several hours late to an appointment because he was in an intense gaming session.

Wizards Unite has launched in Germany. But what do the first players say about the AR game and which aspects are not well received?

Comparing this to the ratings of Pokémon GO, slight differences are noticeable. Pokémon GO received only 4.1 stars in the Play Store and even only 3.8 stars in the Apple App Store.
Wizards Unite is faring better at launch than Pokémon GO is now. However, the game is just getting started. There can still be a lot of changes.

What was it like with Forsaken? At the launch of the first expansion to Destiny 2, Forsaken, players were forced to purchase the two previously released DLCs. DLC I Curse of Osiris and DLC II Warmind were mandatory for Forsaken.

This is how Kinstaar leveraged the changes to his advantage: Kinstaar played a lot of Fortnite to understand how the changes impact the game. He anticipated patches that would completely overturn the meta.
After each patch that altered the meta, he played a lot of matches. It was important for him to fully understand what a new patch meant for Fortnite. He prepared intensely for the new situations in the game.
“It doesn’t surprise us that Epic adds or removes items and weapons during the tournament. It is frustrating nonetheless,” says Kinstaar. “The updates usually came on Tuesdays or Thursdays, which meant we had less than a week to learn the new meta.”

“That was the moment I understood that I had to seize my chance. Because I practically never use vehicles in the game, and I should give it my all,” says Kinstaar, recalling that he was still missing 8 points for qualification in Week 5.
By Week 6, Epic Games had not resolved the issues with vehicles. In Week 6, he played with his duo partner Coretin “Hunter” Tardif. The two realized that their chance had come to qualify for the finals.
“We’ve been playing this game since the beginning. It’s our playground, especially without vehicles.” So for them, the meta change came at just the right time, Epic was playing into their hands.
Did Kinstaar make it to the finals? The two players finished fourth as a duo in Week 6 of the European qualifiers with 89 points. Thus, they are now in the duo finals of the Fortnite World Championship.
A week later, Kinstaar also reached the finals of the World Championship in solo ranking. He qualified with 59 points. The vehicles were back in the game by then.
The meta is currently almost perfect, says the pro. “The semi-auto sniper and the burst SMG should go into the vault,” he adds.
This is the problem: Despite the chaotic item changes during the tournaments, Kinstaar was able to qualify for the World Cup. It is always challenging for players to adjust to such significant changes during ongoing tournaments.
Suddenly, vehicles that were crucial to their tactics are missing from the game. Or weapons they practiced extensively with are unexpectedly removed. Because Epic felt like it and believes they don’t fit the meta. Kinstaar thinks that Epic could do more to avoid the chaos.
This would be his solution: “They should pay more attention to the community,” says Kinstaar, adding that professional players should be the focus for Epic.
