At the San Diego Comic Con, the action-adventure Marvel’s Avengers was showcased once again. The developers revealed many interesting details about the loot and how you can upgrade your heroes.
What is Marvel’s Avengers? At E3, publisher Square Enix provided a closer look at the action-adventure developed by Crystal Dynamics. You will experience an exciting story, in which you alternately take on the roles of Hulk, Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, and Black Widow to complete missions.
There will also be a separate multiplayer mode that you can experience with your friends. Here, you will take on the roles of the Avengers, but you will be able to customize them according to your personal preferences and shape them individually. The developers have now revealed more about this.

What was shown at the Comic Con? The developers presented the first gameplay footage from the campaign behind closed doors and showcased how cool the abilities of the individual heroes are.
It was stated that fun takes precedence over realism, leading to a massive destruction spree in the levels. The customization options of the heroes and the loot were also key topics.
What about customization? Everyone knows what Iron Man or Captain America’s armor looks like. But you can change this completely.
You can adjust the colors and use completely new costumes. You can turn Thor into a Viking or put Hulk in a gangster suit. Additionally, you can give the characters war paint.
The developers plan to offer many customization options. This way, everyone can create their own version of the superheroes.
Loot and Skills Matter
What about the loot? Loot plays a significant role in Marvel’s Avengers. The developers did not reveal much at the Comic Con. However, there are rarity grades for certain items, typically indicated by colors.
It seems that loot will not affect the appearance of the characters. This is purely determined by cosmetic items. The loot you find seemingly only affects gameplay, such as how much damage you deal or how well you are protected.
How do you upgrade abilities? What was shown behind closed doors at the Comic Con was a classic skill tree with various abilities. Each character has individual skills that you unlock and can also upgrade.
What else do we know about Marvel’s Avengers? The single-player campaign of the game is said to be very cinematic, but you can only play it alone. The story revolves around the Avengers trying to stop a terrorist attack but realizing too late that it is a distraction. This leads to many deaths, and the Avengers are subsequently hated and disbanded.
During the single-player campaign, you unlock side missions that you can also experience with your friends in multiplayer. It is important to pay attention to the composition of the team since each hero can only appear once.
With further updates and throughout the story, you will improve your abilities, customize your heroes, and later new superheroes from the Marvel universe with special powers will be added, which you will unlock.
The race for the World First Kill of Queen Azshara in WoW is in full swing. Two guilds are in a close race.
In World of Warcraft, the race for the World First Kill of Queen Azshara has ignited. Despite the still varying start times for Europeans, Americans, and Asians, this race is once again very exciting. The two professional guilds Method and Limit are engaged in an exciting duel.
What has happened so far? After the Americans had several hours of advantage due to the time difference and different maintenance activities, many US guilds were already at 3/8 defeated bosses before the Europeans could even participate. However, the 4th boss, Lady Ashwind, proved to be particularly tough and gave the European guild Method enough time to catch up.

Shortly after, however, Limit caught up again, allowing both guilds to work on the next boss, Orgozoa. Here, it was the guild Limit that took the lead again and sent the tentacle monster to the ground first.
Method followed shortly after and rushed straight to the queen’s court, which they were able to defeat first. However, the Americans from Limit quickly followed, so now both guilds stand at 6/8 bosses and are tackling Za’qul, the Harbinger of Ny’alotha. This is the last hurdle before it is about “the grand prize”, namely Queen Azshara herself.
She still smiles – but only one boss separates her from the pro guilds.
The race is more exciting than ever: No matter how you look at it, the two pro guilds of Method and Limit are engaged in an exciting race where sometimes one and sometimes the other guild takes the lead. Anyone interested in the World First race is sure to be entertained. This is not least due to the fact that almost all major guilds are streaming their progress live. While the guilds may give away their tricks and tips that other guilds could then copy, it is all the more exciting for the viewers.
Of course, nothing is decided yet, and one of the other guilds could still catch up. Guilds like Exorsus, Pieces, or Aversion are still at 4/8 defeated bosses, but they probably still have enough time to catch up.

It could very well be that the World First of Queen Azshara will be visible as early as this weekend. Anyone interested in the race should keep an eye on the corresponding Twitch channels.

In the community, there has been a long discussion about whether the Year 1 Pass for The Division 2 is worth the money. Many fans on PC now consider the yearly pass nearly worthless due to the test servers. What do you think about it?
Many fans are currently discussing: Currently, things are rather quiet in The Division 2. Many agents are waiting for new content and further improvements in the form of Title Update 5 as well as the Episode 1 DLCs.
Meanwhile, the community has once again raised the question of whether the contents of the paid Year 1 Pass for The Division 2 are worth their money and actually deliver what they promise.
What is included in the Year 1 Pass for The Division 2? The Year 1 Pass is paid and costs around 40 € when purchased separately. It can also be acquired together with the game in certain editions, making it cheaper.
The Year 1 Pass includes the following contents:
7 days of early access to all episodes in Year 1, which are released for free for all players.
Immediate access to all 3 new specializations from Year 1 as soon as they are released – such as the Gunner. All other players must unlock these new specializations first.
8 Classified Assignments: 8 smaller secret missions that delve deeper into the fall of D.C.
Exclusive cosmetic items
Additional in-game activities, meaning one extra project per day and one extra bounty per week.
Discussion about the Year Pass – What fans are saying
What Year Pass supporters are saying: On one hand, there are many players who advocate for purchasing the Year 1 Pass, justifying it with the argument that you directly support the developers this way.
They believe the launch brought a great game with plenty of content and that they are now working hard and steadily to expand The Division 2 further in line with the wishes of the fans. This also incurs high costs, and buying the Year Pass would additionally support this work.
Some say they purchased the Year Pass right after the beta with that goal in mind, to support the developers, and not necessarily due to its content. Massive is taking a different route than many competitors and is essentially releasing all essential additional content for free for all players. Moreover, microtransactions in The Division 2 are said to be limited and fair. Many players want to reward such aspects with the additional purchase.
Others are happy because, for them, the new Gunner specialization was unlocked directly, and they could save themselves this tedious task. Many fans even jokingly say that alone was worth the Year Pass. The classified assignments are also well-received by some players. Ultimately, many players feel that they are getting enough in return from Massive for the additional 40 €.
What disappointed agents are saying: Many are also disappointed with the Year Pass for The Division 2 and clearly say that in their eyes, it is not worth the money.
Many are disappointed with the mini-missions in the form of classified assignments. The specialization quests still need to be played if one wants to obtain the corresponding cosmetics. The additional bounties and projects would not yield anything with the current loot anyway.
However, where many feel aggrieved is the early access to new content. This aspect was a decisive or even the main argument for many for the purchase. However, this is completely undermined by the test servers, making the pass nearly worthless for many – at least on PC.
Because every PC player has access to these servers and can test and try out most new content there beforehand for free – note that unlike Season Pass owners, they do not have to pay extra for it. Many feel cheated here. Ubisoft is no better than other publishers; they just found a better way to push this Year Pass on players. The associated content is not worth the 40 €.
Furthermore, many doubt that the extra revenue from the Year Pass actually supports the game or the developers in any direct way.
And what do you say? Participate in our survey
In this context, we have prepared a survey for you and want to know if the Year 1 Pass for The Division 2 is worth your money or not.
Remember, you only have one answer option. Additionally, we divided the survey for PC and console players into two pages. Thank you for your time and participation.
In Fortnite: Battle Royale the big end-of-season event will take place tomorrow. There will finally be the great final battle between the robot and the Cattus monster. You don’t have to worry about spoilers.
What to expect in Fortnite? Tomorrow, on July 20, 2019 at 8:00 PM, the great duel of the giants is expected to take place. The monster “Cattus” will probably rise from the sea and fight the giant robot “Doggus”.
Update: July 20, 8:45 PM: Monsters and robots have fought. See the epic fight in this video:
This could be answered by a bold dive of data miners into the depths of the game data shortly before the event. Because about 30 minutes before the start of the event, the data would be in the game and could be read.
Big data miners don’t want to ruin your fun
This is what the leakers are doing: A data miner who leaks information about the event just before it happens is likely to rake in a lot of traffic on YouTube and other platforms. After all, such end-of-season events are usually attended by millions of players, and they often want to know beforehand what is going to happen.
Others, however, would like to be surprised and have no interest in spoilers. Therefore, several big leakers have teamed up behind the data miner FortTory and announced via the hashtag #Wedontleak that they will refrain from leaking any information about the event beforehand.
Additionally, a call went out to all other leakers to also please adhere to this and not spoil anything in advance.
So the fans are reacting: In general, many players on Reddit appreciated the approach of the leakers and welcomed the idea. However, realistic voices quickly arose, doubting the feasibility of a non-disclosure agreement for the event:
“There is no way to silence everyone who could theoretically extract data. The best method to avoid spoilers is to stay away from social media beforehand.”
Others doubt whether the leakers even have the opportunity to decrypt the data so quickly:
“Funny that they want to profit from not leaking something. They would rather like to leak it but can’t because the data is encrypted.”
But whatever the motives of the leakers behind #Wedontleak are, if it means fewer spoilers circulate about the event, that is a good thing for the community.

Why are there so many changes? In his “Developer Update,” Game Director Jeff Kaplan explained why there are now so many adjustments. The reason is the new Role-Queue system and the associated balance of a “2-2-2” team (2 tanks, 2 healers, 2 DPS). For example, Kaplan mentioned Brigitte. Brigitte is currently extremely strong when combined with two other healers. This will no longer be possible in the future, which is why significant adjustments are necessary to ensure that Brigitte continues to serve a purpose.
The Asia MMORPG Astellia will enter its second Closed Beta this July. The developers have now informed us about the date and new content.
When does the second Closed Beta start? The second Closed Beta of Astellia will open on Tuesday, July 30, 2019, starting at 9:00 AM German time.
The Beta will run until Tuesday, August 6, 2019, at 5:00 PM. So you have just over a week to test the game.
How do I participate in the Beta? For the second Beta, there will be keys available, as with the first, that you can win. Therefore, you should definitely keep an eye on Astellia’s social media channels.
A guaranteed participation in the second Closed Beta can be obtained through the Platinum or the Legendary Founder’s Package. Both give you early access to the game, as well as special rewards and a key for the second Closed Beta.
The Platinum Package costs 59.99 euros
The Legendary Package costs 99.99 euros
Astellia itself will be Buy2Play, so you will also need to pay around 30 euros for regular game access.
Can the Beta be streamed? There is no NDA on the Astellia test. Even the first Beta was extensively used by streamers. You can also check out our livestream recording on MAX.
More Focus on PvP and the Shop
What’s new in the second Beta? In the first Closed Beta, the PvE areas, crafting, and even the legendary dungeons could already be tested. We took a close look at these contents for you.
The second Beta shifts its focus a bit more towards PvP. The area Avalon, which can be compared to the “World vs. World” from Guild Wars 2, will be extensively tested.
Are there adjustments compared to the first Beta? The developers have thoroughly evaluated the feedback from the first Beta. There should already be adjustments to mana regeneration, the speed of progress, and the difficulty of dungeons.
When will Astellia be released? So far, there is no official release date for the MMORPG. However, it is definitely slated for release in 2019. The current target is the third quarter.
The Elder Scrolls Online will soon receive the new DLC Scalebreaker. You can already play it on the test server. We have gathered player feedback on the new update here for you.
Use the Unraveled keys as currency and exchange them specifically for loot boxes
Feedback on Update 23 and Scalebreaker from the Test Server
You can learn how players are reacting to the dungeons and the new features in the DLC and Update 23 in the following paragraphs.
How the new dungeons are received
Moongrab Temple Town: This dungeon revolves around a fallen dragon that is being misused by vampires. The idea sounds good, but players in the forum have encountered a few problems with the final boss.
It is simply too stressful, as it distributes numerous effects. Among other things, there are various damage-over-time effects, debuffs, and other annoying states. It is no fun to struggle through this chaos. However, the dungeon is enjoyable until the final boss.
Hoard of Maarselok: This dungeon features a dragon plotting devious things in its hoard. The dungeon is already well-received by players in the forum. Fans even compare it to the also popular Sunspire raid from Elsweyr. Especially the mechanics of the final boss are well-executed in hard mode.
What fans say about the changes to the trading guilds
With Update 23, guilds will be able to offer up to ten different locations for the guild trader per week. This is intended to ensure that guilds have a better chance of getting the location they desire.
However, some fans worry in the forum that unfair situations may arise due to increased bidding fees, as wealthy guilds can effectively afford the up to 10 possible bids.
But some players also note that this system likely cannot be well tested on the PTS and it will only reveal whether it works well on the live server.
This is the feedback on multi-crafting
This innovation is extremely well-received, as you can finally craft large quantities of items at once. And indeed all at once, not one after another, as was previously possible in various addons.
This delights the fans in the forum greatly, and they wish for a precise input of the number of items to be crafted and better filtering methods.
What do fans say about the new keys from the Undaunted?
In Update 23, you will receive the keys from the Undaunted challenges as currency, no longer as inventory items. With the new keys, you can buy a loot box containing rare items with 5 keys.
The idea of using keys as currency is universally well-received in the forum. However, many generally feel that it is too much to ask for 5 keys for a box, as the RNG factor is very high for obtaining a specific type of item.
There is a 50% chance that armor drops, and then there is RNG on the type and trait as well. Therefore, 2 or 3 keys would be a better price.
How the new story is received (Warning, Spoilers!)
If you want to know how the story of Elsweyr and the Season of the Dragon continues, you can already access the prologue quest for the 4th DLC “Dragonhold”. It’s about teaming up with the swordmaster and dragon hunter Sai Sahan to initiate the final battle against the dragons .
While Sai Sahan is an old fan-favorite from the base game, his appearance is confusing to some players. Depending on the player’s choice at the end of the base game, Sai Sahan could have met his demise. How can he be alive now?
The explanation is that he simply does not remember what happened after his “death” and has woken up somewhere in the Dragon’s Tail Mountains. This explanation does not sit well with all players in the forum.
Many find it rather silly and feel that the decision from the base game is completely consequence-free and thus irrelevant. However, perhaps there will be a better explanation later in the game for the resurrection of the swordmaster.
That’s all for the feedback from the Scalebreaker test server and Update 23. The release is planned for August 2019, and the developers will surely change a thing or two by then.
Big changes are coming to Overwatch . Instead of a skill rating, players will now have three different ones!
Just yesterday, the leak circulated that there will soon be a “Role Queue” in Overwatch. Players will have to choose which role they want to play before the match: Tank, Healer, or DPS. They will be bound to this decision during the match. Game Director Jeff Kaplan has now explained more details about the new system in a long video. Overwatch is completely revamping its matchmaking.

A skill rating for each role: The biggest change is likely to be that all players in ranked matches will now receive three different skill ratings, one for Healers, one for Tanks, and one for the DPS role. This means that a player could be ranked “Gold” as a Healer, “Platinum” as a Tank, and only “Silver” as DPS.
Role Queue is also coming for Quick Play: The “Role Queue” is coming not just in ranked mode but also in Quick Play. This will create a requirement, as all teams will consist of a “2-2-2” combination, meaning 2 Tanks, 2 Healers, and 2 DPS. If someone absolutely doesn’t want this, they can find the “Quick Match Classic” mode in the Arcade and play there without these restrictions as before.
When is the system coming? The patch is set to go live in mid-August. The current ranked season will then be ended early to introduce a two-week test season for the new system. This “Beta Season” will last until the beginning of September. From then on, the “Role Queue” will be mandatory in ranked games, Quick Play, and also in the Overwatch League.
This change is not due to the meta: Kaplan emphasizes in the video that this change is not being made to forcefully change or influence the meta in Overwatch. A meta would also develop with the new system, and there will always be players who are dissatisfied with it!
Instead, the new system is meant to ensure that all players can truly play the role they want to. This alleviates social pressure because currently there are only 40 seconds during a match to form a good composition.
More rewards in ranked: Because players now receive their own skill ratings for all three roles, they also need to qualify for all roles. This requires 5 placement matches for each role – a total of 15. Those who qualify in all roles will receive more Competitive Points than with the old system. However, those who only want the spray logo and display picture of the season can also qualify with just one role.
This is how many “Competitive Points” you get under the new and old systems.
What do you think of all these changes? Is this a good step for Overwatch? Or is it going in completely the wrong direction?
In Dota Underlords, the 5-gold units have dominated the gameplay for quite some time. Now Valve wants to address this and is bringing a balance patch.
What does the new patch change? The new patch in Dota Underlords mainly makes changes to the 4- and 5-gold units and some alliances. The biggest change relates to the Tricksters.
They now only require 2 champions for their synergy instead of 3. In return, some units have seen an increase in their gold cost. There have also been gold changes with Treant, Razor, Medusa, and the Wind Ranger.
When will the new patch be released? The patch has not been released yet but is expected to be released before the weekend. No exact date has been provided so far.
Below, we present the most important changes brought by the patch. You can find the complete patch notes on Valve’s website.
Alliances may become more important with the patch
What changes will occur with the Tricksters? There will be changes to seven of the existing alliances with the patch. The biggest ones affect the Trickster heroes:
Tricksters only need 2/4/6 heroes for the bonus
Level 1 – A random Trickster gains +9 armor and +8 health regeneration
Level 2 – All Tricksters gain +9 armor and +8 health regeneration
Level 3 – All units gain +9 armor and +8 health regeneration
Armor and health points are now always doubled when you have fewer units on the field than the opponent.
The last change is the most exciting, as it ensures that the buff dynamically doubles based on whether you prevail or struggle against the opponent. Previously, the bonuses only doubled if you started a duel with fewer heroes on the board.
With this, Valve has strengthened the Tricksters in their alliance. To ensure they do not become too powerful, the heroes will also be adjusted:
Clockwork now costs 3 instead of 1 gold
Armor is increased to 5/7/10.
Health points are increased to 800/1600/3200.
Minimum attack damage is increased to 55/110/220.
Maximum damage is increased to 65/130/260.
Inventor now costs 3 instead of 1 gold
Health points are increased to 750/1500/3500.
Minimum damage is increased to 50/110/225.
Maximum damage is increased to 60/120/275.
The skill cooldown is reduced to 8/6/0.5 and the damage is increased to 350/450/450.
What changes are made to the other alliances? The changes in the other six alliances aside from the Tricksters are significantly smaller and alternate between buffs and nerfs:
Warlocks now heal the champions with the lowest health percentage rather than totals. In return, the values change from 50%/100%/150% to 50%/80%/120%.
Trolls now grant 10% attack speed to allies already at the first level.
The damage reduction from Knights changes from 15/20/30 to 15/20/25.
The armor reduction from Undead changes from 5/10/20 to 5/10/15.
Elementals now have an additional 10% chance to disarm ranged attackers for 4 seconds.
The damage of Bloodbound units is increased from +100% to +125%.
What does the patch change for alliance items? All alliance items begin with a specific level from 1 to 3. This is determined randomly and differs from player to player.
Depending on the level, the alliance item varies in strength. The damage of dragons is not always increased by 1% but by 0.5/1/1.5% depending on the level.
Why might alliances become more important now? In the early game, alliances already play an important role, but they diminish in the late game since many 4- and 5-gold units simply overpower the synergies.
Exactly this could change with the new patch through adjustments to items and alliances. Additionally, some overpowered units will now be weakened.
The end of strong units in the late game?
What changes will occur with the heroes? The new patch aims to improve low gold value heroes, especially in the late game. Lycan, Phantom Assassin, and Abaddon have only received improvements at the third level.
Typically, health points, damage, or skill effects have been adjusted only at the highest level.
In return, the patch weakens certain 4- and 5-gold units to provide more variety.
What changes will occur with the 4-gold units? The focus for the 4-gold units is mainly on nerfs.
Medusa now costs 5 instead of 4 gold.
The damage modifier is reduced from 40 to 20%.
The number of bonus shots is increased from 2 to 2/3/4.
Kunkka is also being weakened.
The damage from the Ghost Ship is reduced from 150/250/350 to 50/150/250.
The skill cooldown is increased from 10 to 15 seconds.
For Necrophos, the cooldown of his skill is increased from 5 to 7.5 seconds.
What changes will occur with the 5-gold units? The focus of the changes to the strongest units has particularly shifted to Enigma and Tidehunter.
Enigma now has the alliance Shaman instead of Warlock.
The radius of his skill is reduced from 2/3/4 to 1/2/3 tiles.
Tidehunter now has the alliance Warrior instead of Naga. He also now costs only 4 gold.
His health is reduced from 950/1900/3800 to 850/1700/3400.
Health regeneration is removed.
The radius of his skill is reduced from 2/3/4 to 1/2/3 tiles. The damage and duration are also reduced.
The popular units Techies, Gyrocopter, and Lich, however, are not affected. Again, some players have called for nerfs.
Better AI and more XP for the battle pass
What else does the patch bring? In addition to adjustments to alliances and heroes, the patch brings various other general novelties:
Rounds now end only after all skills and attacks have run out.
The first three rounds will have only 15 instead of 25 seconds of preparation time.
If you lose against neutral opponents, you will only receive items from the next lower tier. In return, none of these will be discarded.
Neutral opponents will be adjusted for balance.
Units that cannot be healed will no longer be healed.
There will be more XP for the battle pass for game placements and also more XP through daily rewards.
What do players say about the patch? Players on Reddit are surprised by the many changes. Most, however, are well-received by the players. Especially the changes to the 3-gold units at level 3 receive much praise.
How effective the changes actually are will only be revealed once the patch goes live.
After its release in 2017, Ghost Recon Wildlands is now receiving the final patch with major changes. This includes the unique Mercenaries game mode for 8 players.
Why is this the last update? On the Ghost Recon Wildlands website, Ubisoft states that the release of Breakpoint is coming in October, and they want to thank Wildlands players with one last major update.
Here are the contents of the update: The new game mode Mercenaries is the focus of the new update. It is a PvPvE mode for 8 players. There are various mercenary items as rewards. Some improvements and bug fixes round off the update.
Mercenaries Game Mode in Wildlands – Guide
What kind of mode is this? With a total of 8 players, you should request an extraction and find out where the pickup zone is located. You must reach it and be the first to enter the helicopter to win.
How is Mercenaries played?
The mode is divided into several phases:
Phase 1: At the start, you have neither weapons, items, nor other equipment. Your job is to locate the area of the pickup zone using transmitters. You can find weapons and gear in containers scattered throughout the map. If you prevail against the other players and activate 3 transmitters, you will see the location of the pickup zone and start Phase 2.
Phase 2: The helicopter flies to the landing zone after 3 transmitters are activated. Once it has landed, all players can see its position. Then Phase 3 begins.
Phase 3: To be able to fly in the helicopter, you must first fill a gauge. You fill this by staying in a certain area around the helicopter. If your gauge is full and no other players are in that area, the helicopter will take off with you.
As always, good tactics are rewarded in Wildlands. To track down transmitters, you need to find information markers. You have the following options:
See the position of other players briefly
See the position of weapons and equipment
See the position of a vehicle
Use this information wisely to win the match.

In Fortnite: Battle Royale emotes are basically fun little animations that lighten up the battle. However, sometimes emotes provide an unintended advantage in the game. This makes them even more desirable for certain players until the developers intervene.
Which emote is it about? On June 19, 2019, the emote “Deep Dab” was added to the shop. It allows you to perform a so-called “Dab Move”, where your character extends one arm, bends the other arm and dips its head into it. The whole thing happens in a deep squat.
Why is the emote problematic? Some players quickly discovered that you can misuse the emote. Your character slides to the side when standing up from the squat. This results in a smooth sidestep along with the squat, from which your character suddenly rises.
If you combine this with a wall with a window, the character appears exactly in the window and can take down an opponent without them being able to foresee it.
If you had crawled under the window normally, at least they could have spotted you. With the Dab emote, however, this happens without warning and is clearly a nasty exploit.
Players wanted to exploit and are now angry
What happened to the emote? Because the emote grants an unfair advantage, many players wanted to have it and were happy to invest the necessary 200 V-Bucks (2 euros) into the animation.
However, buying things that grant gameplay advantages falls under pay-to-win. Therefore, Epic has now reacted about a month later and nerfed the emote.
The Deep Dab still works as usual. So you can still make the cheeky sidestep from the squat and suddenly pop up in a window.
However, those who want to pull the trigger confidently to take down the surprised opponent will be surprised.
Because Epic has built in a 1-second delay, preventing you from shooting immediately after the emote. This makes this gesture what it should have always been: a funny animation and not a nasty pay-to-win exploit.
How buyers of the emote are reacting: While players who always found the emote unfair are now satisfied, various players are venting their displeasure on Twitter, who had only bought the Deep Dab to cheat with it:
“Now I’ve bought the Deep Dab for nothing!”
“Now I’ve only bought the Deep Dab because of the exploit, and now they patched it!”
“The Deep Dab had a really cool exploit, but it got nerfed. Deep Dab was too OP!”
In the Destiny franchise, most weapons have more than quirky names. Destiny 2 is no exception. Mark Noseworthy and Luke Smith recently discussed how weapons in Destiny get their names, who is responsible for it, and which names are completely unsuitable for new firearms or swords.
What kind of crazy names? Bungie is probably best known for their two shooter franchises, Halo and Destiny. While the weapons in Halo, which is being developed in recent times by 343 Industries, still had quite tame names, Destiny 1 and Destiny 2 seem to have no limits when it comes to quirks.
By now, the franchise boasts more than 600 weapons with names like “Fatebringer”, “The Gourmand”, or “The Colony”.
Anyone playing PvP in Destiny 2 has surely come across “The Colony” at least a couple of times.
Who is responsible for the names? Mark Noseworthy and Luke Smith provided a small insight into how the weapons in the game get their names and who is responsible for naming them. As Smith explained:
There’s no real style guide for what a Destiny weapon name is and what isn’t. But the origin really comes from that old notepad where Jason Jones (Chief Creative Officer) and Chris Barrett (Game Director) and a few others like Eric Raab (Narrative Designer) built a first library. They [these names] just have a certain feel.
So there is no randomizer or any other method by which the weapon names are chosen. Each individual name is crafted “by hand” by the writers and developers at Bungie. This includes Luke Smith, who stated that choosing weapon names is one of his favorite activities when working on Destiny and Destiny 2.
Which names are completely unsuitable? However, some names are too much for the Destiny universe, as Mark Noseworthy pointed out. Names that are too serious or too SciFi-like simply don’t fit into the rather fun or silly world.
Smith mentions that the name “Fatebringer” felt very “edgy” for him at the time. Especially compared to weapons like “The Comedian” which were released or planned around the same time.
Massive brings clarity: We finally know what lootthere will be in The Division 2 in the Discovery Mode of the raid “Operation: Dark Hours”. Who benefits from the Easy Mode of this top activity?
What is the Easy Mode in the raid about? With Title Update 5, the raid “Operation: Dark Hours” will receive a so-called Discovery Mode. This will be a lighter difficulty level of this PvE top activity, which will offer matchmaking unlike the regular raid. Many fans had asked for this. But what about the loot there?
What loot is available there? Massive had already indicated that the most sought-after loot of the raid will probably not be available in Discovery Mode. However, this was not completely certain. Therefore, there have been many discussions and speculations about the loot from the “Easy Mode”.
In the latest edition of State of the Game, they finally spoke clearly. The developers have now confirmed the following about the raid loot:
The loot in Discovery Mode should still be usable. Items with a guaranteed gear score of 500, which is the maximum value, will drop there.
Is it worth farming in Discovery Mode? The Discovery Mode is not aimed at players who can already master the raid or parts of it and have simply had bad luck with the exclusive raid loot. Because, as mentioned, it won’t be available there.
Even if you have already reached a gear score of 500, the Easy Mode is not really relevant for you anymore – unless you just want to practice the process or experience the action at the airport in peace under easier conditions.
For those who still need to work their way up to gear score 500, this provides guaranteed 500 items, making the raid an attractive additional opportunity for them to achieve the maximum gear score. So for them, farming here could definitely be worthwhile.
When will Title Update 5 and Discovery Mode come? Title Update 5 and thus the Discovery difficulty for the raid will be released on Tuesday, July 23, for all players on all platforms.
What do you think of the Discovery Mode and the loot distribution in the raid? Would you have liked to see the exclusive items for the easier difficulty level as well – perhaps with a lower drop chance?
In Fortnite: Battle Royale you can currently get 2 cool banners for free. However, you have to let someone gift them to you. And gifting only works if you have activated 2FA. But what is that and how does it work?
What is free? Currently, there are free banners in the Fortnite item shop. But not just any banners; they are banners that clearly assign you to one of the two major contenders in the upcoming Titan battle in the Doggus vs. Cattus event. So there is one banner for Team Doggus and one for Team Cattus.
The banners are free, but you cannot purchase them for yourself. The banners can only be gifted. To get them, you need a friend who will give them to you. Ideally, you then also gift one to them in return.
But how can you gift items and what does the mysterious “2FA” have to do with it, which you need?
How to activate 2FA for free banners
This is 2FA: The term “2FA” stands for the cumbersome expression “2-Factor Authentication”. This actually only brings you advantages. When you log into your Fortnite account, you first need to enter a code that is sent to you via the 2FA function by email or via an app.
This protects against hackers, as they would theoretically also need access to your email account or smartphone in order to hack into your account.
This is how you set up 2FA: Go either to Fortnite.com/2FA or click on the “Password and Security” tab on the left side of your Epic account page. There, select the 2-Factor Authentication under “Account Security” and activate it.
This is how it works via app: Instead of an email with a code, you can also use these apps to generate a code on your mobile device:
Google Authenticator
LastPass Authenticator
Microsoft Authenticator
Authy
Attention: To activate the 2FA function, the email address of your Epic account must also be verified.
Once you have set up 2FA, you can “purchase” the banners for 0 V-Bucks and gift them to a friend with whom you must have been friends for at least 48 hours. You can find all further details about gifting here.
Additionally, you will receive a gift emote when you activate 2FA.
Capcom celebrates that 13 million units of Monster Hunter World have now been shipped worldwide. To celebrate, there are valuable gifts for players, but most of all, everyone is probably excited about this one cursed jewel.
What kind of item is this? There are surely some players of Monster Hunter World who already get goosebumps just hearing the name of the item.
Attack Jewel.
This jewel is an item that hunters can receive as rewards after completing a quest. Whether this happens is up to chance. If players add an Attack Jewel to their equipment, the decoration increases attack power.
What is special about the Attack Jewel: The chance of getting such a jewel is less than 1%. However, it is an item that can significantly enhance the equipment.
There are players who have already invested hundreds or thousands of hours of gameplay and have never received such an Attack Jewel. That’s why there is great excitement among players that Capcom is now giving away this rare and highly coveted jewel.

13 x Silver Egg – These can be sold for 10,000 Zenny each

In Pokémon GO there are new offer boxes again. This time, the boxes are especially worthwhile for fans of incubators. We show you what you really save.
Now there are new offers that are especially worthwhile for fans of hatching eggs. Generally, a lot of emphasis is placed on star pieces and incubators.
How much you save with the new offer boxes in July
This is how the calculation was made: To determine the savings, we calculated with the unit price of an item from an 8-piece bundle. We then compared this price with the box.
14x Raid Pass, 8x Super Incubator, 6x Star Piece, 6x Max Revive
1480/2000 (58%)
Adventure Box
15x Super Incubator, 4x Incubator, 6x Star Piece, 6x Max Revive
1480/2678 (64%)
How good the offer boxes really are
Special Box: As always, the Special Box doesn’t offer a huge discount, but it is affordable. One advantage is that it contains 4 useful items and you will probably consume all the items. Therefore, it is not a bad choice for emergencies.
Super Box: Everyone should stay away from the Super Box, because this time it is really bad. The high savings come from the incense, which most players probably don’t need. If you only want incubators and raid passes, you will only save 120 coins here. It can definitely be better.
Hyper Box: The Hyper Box is a solid offer. While there have been better Hyper Boxes, if you need raid passes, you can’t go wrong with the purchase. The only downside is the Max Revives.
Adventure Box: The Adventure Box is a real highlight! A total of 19 incubators let you hatch 57 eggs. Especially now, when the 7km eggs are so interesting, you should definitely invest in incubators.
Which box is most worthwhile? This time, the winner is the Adventure Box. Here you save the most money and get useful items. You can also keep these until the global challenge in August, because there you get triple star dust. So, the star pieces are worth it.

But now there has been a small setback. The stress test of WoW Classic, which was supposed to take place next week, has been canceled for now.
What happened? Blizzard announced in the official forum that the stress test planned for July 25 and 26 must be canceled. The announcement states that “they have come to the conclusion that we are not yet ready to conduct our global stress test.”
The test will be conducted at a later time. Blizzard has not yet announced a specific date for that, but they wanted to provide “new information soon.”
Is the release in danger? No. Blizzard emphasizes in the announcement that they are still on track to release WoW Classic later in August. The additional time for the stress test will likely not change their release plans.
If no unusual problems arise, WoW Classic will still be published on August 27, 2019.
