What are these keys? On September 13, Borderlands 3 will launch. You will be able to shoot through desolate areas again with crazy weapons. To start well in the third part of the loot shooter, you can organize golden keys (golden keys) via Shift Codes.

With these, you can then draw rare or even legendary items (mostly weapons, because Borderlands) from a chest in the game.

How do I get golden keys? You secure the golden keys through Shift Codes. This system already existed in the old parts and continues in Borderlands 3. For that, you first need a Shift account.

What are Shift Codes? Shift Codes are 25-character combinations of numbers and letters. You can redeem these to claim cool rewards for one of the Borderlands titles.

How do I get Shift Codes? The easiest way to get Shift Codes is to follow collecting sites. A good tip for this is on Twitter.

The first Shift Code for 3 golden keys in Borderlands 3 is: ZFKJ3-TT3BB-JTBJT-T3JJT-JWX9H

How do I redeem Shift Codes for Borderlands 3? You can enter your Shift Codes via your browser or directly in the game. For that, you either need to log in with your Shift account or the login data of your platform on the Shift homepage. There, you can enter your codes under the “Rewards” tab. The Shift Code does not work on the VIP page at borderlands.com.

After that, you still need to select the game for which you want to redeem the codes. In your case, that should be Borderlands 3. Of course, it is also possible to enter the Shift Codes for older titles. However, keep in mind that you can only enter each code once per account.

If you are only shown the option for Borderlands 2, you will need to link your account with your platform.

You can also redeem your Shift Codes directly in the game. If you have already acquired Borderlands 3, you can enter your codes in the game as well. You just need to go to the appropriate Shift option in the start menu.

Now you just have to make your way to the golden chest in the game and turn the keys into great loot!

What about the golden keys from older titles? Unfortunately, we do not currently have a way for you to transfer your golden keys. So if you have collected 200 golden keys in Borderlands 2, you will not be able to enter them in Borderlands 3.

What is a Shift account? All rewards via Shift Codes or VIP points run through a Shift account in Borderlands. So if you do not have one yet, you can sign up on the Borderlands homepage or directly at Shift.

How to secure even more loot

Rewards through VIP points in Borderlands 3. There is another way to get cool rewards through your Shift account. This works through VIP points. You can find them in the same places as your Shift Codes and must enter them on the Borderlands homepage.

• Phase Lock: A magical fist that emerges from the ground and traps enemies.

These abilities can be expanded and improved with additional skills.

Amara – for Close Combat Fighters

This player is ideal for Amara: If you see yourself as a classic close-combat fighter, you should turn to the Siren. Amara has everything it takes to deal significant damage at close range. If you pursue an aggressive playstyle, you will find what you’re looking for here. If you prefer to play from a distance, choose another character.

Zane – The Operative

This is what makes Zane special: With Zane, you are well served if you like unusual gadgets, prefer to fight from a distance, or want to overwhelm your opponent with surprise attacks. The Operative has the ability to appear, quickly scatter grenades across an area, escape, and blow it up.

A special feature in Zane’s case is that he can equip a second action skill simultaneously, unlike the other characters. However, this takes up the grenade slot – so it is necessary to weigh this option.

Zane’s special skills include the following abilities:

• Barrier: This ability is particularly useful for team players. Zane places a shield that keeps damage away and increases the attack power of his team when shot through. Moving with the shield is possible, but it will become smaller.
• SNTNL: SNTNL activates a drone that attacks enemies while Zane remains in the background.
• Digital Clone: Zane creates a hologram of himself. However, this can do more than just distract enemies. The clone can be used to quickly escape dangerous situations – Zane can switch places with the digital double. Especially in conjunction with various grenade skills, a lot of damage can be done if you manage to escape the danger zone in time.

Zane – for Ambush Lovers

This player is the right choice for Zane: If you prefer to hide at a distance and rely more on long to medium-range weapons rather than shotguns, Zane is your man. Especially fans of sneaky attack patterns will do well with the Operative. Zane can jump into battle, place bombs, and disappear before the enemy notices anything.

FL4K – The Beastmaster

This is what makes FL4K special: If you don’t like being alone, you will have a lot of fun with FL4K. Because the Beastmaster is supported by three very useful pets. Depending on which animal you currently have in play, the playstyle you pursue with FL4K also changes.

• Jabber: When accompanied by a Jabber, FL4K’s speed increases.
• Spiderant: The Spiderant companion provides health regeneration.
• Skag: If FL4K has a Skag as a companion, his damage dealt increases.

FL4K’s action skills are as follows:

• Fade Away: FL4K cloaks himself and becomes invisible to enemies. In this mode, the Beastmaster can fire three shots that automatically become critical hits.

But snipers will also definitely find what they are looking for with the Beastmaster, who can cloak himself. Fans of Mordecai and Zer0 from previous games will also be happy with FL4K. Close combat fighters, however, should consider other characters.

Moze – The Gunner

This is what makes Moze special: The former soldier is a big fan of robots. At least her monstrous mech Iron Bear suggests that. With the tank on two legs, you will crush anything that comes in the machine’s way. Especially with the mech, Moze is very well equipped weapon-wise.

The action skills of the Gunner are primarily designed to prepare Iron Bear for battle.

• Railgun: The Railgun fires lightning-fast projectiles at Moze’s enemies. In the truest sense of the word: The cannon causes shock damage.
• Minigun: Iron Bear is equipped with a minigun that also distributes bullets at high speed. But be careful: This thing tends to overheat.
• V-35 Grenade Launcher: The V-35 Grenade Launcher throws – you guessed it – grenades.

Depending on which skill tree Moze invests most of her points in, the weapons will be further boosted. Singularity grenades, homing rockets, a timed autopilot for Iron Bear – everything is on board.

Moze – For Beginners and Team Players

This player is the right choice for Moze: Many beginners will have fun with Moze. With the mech, you can joyfully shoot everything to pieces – depending on which skills are currently equipped.

In addition, teammates will also appreciate Iron Bear: Whether as a ride, distraction, or shield, everyone in the team benefits from the mech. So, if you are looking for a versatile character that supports multiple playstyles, you will find it with Moze.
