The German player base of World of Warcraft is losing its community manager. What is surprising is that no successor is in sight.
After the many bad news surrounding Blizzard in recent days and weeks, German-speaking players of World of Warcraft must now take another hit. The German community manager Toschayju is stepping down. His last working day at Blizzard is October 17, 2019.
Toschayju was very popular: Toschayju was very popular among German-speaking players because he actively participated in the forum and was also up for some fun. He was always seen as friendly in the community, and most were completely satisfied with his work as a CM for the German-speaking area. He frequently advocated for role players and relayed their feedback to Blizzard, even when it did not lead to a Classic RP server.
Why is Toschayju leaving? Toschayju does not reveal a reason for his departure as community manager. He describes his 12 years at Blizzard, especially the 4 years as community manager for the German-speaking area, as “the best time of his life”. In the future, he will move back to Germany, where “new tasks, new adventures, and worlds” await. It is conceivable that he will work in the community team of another game.
No successor coming? What is surprising in Toschayju’s farewell post is that he does not mention a successor. Usually, such farewell posts refer to successors who will take over the position from now on. The fact that Toschayju does not mention such a successor raises concerns among fans that the position may remain unfilled in the future. It may be that there will be no German community manager anymore.
The players of TOTW 5 (Team of the Week) in FIFA 20 are now known. We show you which players are included in the 5th Team of the Week and receive upgraded Inform cards.
What is the Team of the Week? Each week, EA Sports selects 23 players for the Team of the Week. These players are chosen based on strong performances in real-world football and are rewarded with improved Inform cards in the TOTW.
The strongest cards in TOTW 5: The Inform cards with the highest overall ratings this week are Lewandowski and Kane, each with a rating of 90. Additionally, Pjanic (87), Gündogan (86), and Wijnaldum (86) receive very strong TOTW cards.
These Bundesliga players made it: From the Bundesliga, Lewandowski (90) and McKennie (81) from Schalke 04 are included.
This is Lewandowski’s first Inform card: Besides his POTM card, Lewandowski now has a second special card with a rating of 90.
All previous cards of Lewandowski
This card is hardly different from the POTM version, but it has the advantage of being tradable. Compared to his normal gold card, the new Inform card is at least one point better everywhere. The biggest boosts affect:
Shooting: 87 -> 89
Dribbling: 85 -> 87
This is Team of the Week 5

The release of TOTW 5: On October 16 at 7:00 PM, the cards will be accessible to all FUT players.
Bronze or silver Inform cards can be found in the corresponding bronze and silver packs.
On the transfer market: It is therefore wiser to search for the desired TOTW cards on the FUT transfer market. Here, all players can trade the cards. However, the best Inform cards are quite expensive. Waiting a few days may be worthwhile, as prices often drop further.
Earn coins with the TOTW: If you want to quickly earn coins with the Team of the Week, you should engage in TOTW trading. Here you can learn everything about trading in FUT 20:
The Recluse is one of the best PvE weapons in Destiny 2. If you are still missing this top weapon, you should definitely try your hand at its quest. Because the path to the coveted Spider is currently easier than ever before.
About this weapon:The Recluse is a submachine gun and has been available as a top weapon in PvP since Season 6.
Thanks to its unique perk Master of Arms, kills with any weapon temporarily increase the damage of The Recluse.
Among Guardians, it is considered one of the best weapons in Destiny 2 – even after the recent nerf to SMGs. In PvE, this weapon is particularly popular. But even in the Crucible, it performs well in the right hands.
How to get the weapon: You obtain the Spider through a specific quest available from Lord Shaxx in the Tower. There, you need to complete the Story Triumph in PvP. To do this, you have to
Win Crucible matches until the progress bar is 100% full. Competitive and Iron Banner matches grant the most progress.
Reach the Glory rank “Famous.” That’s 2,100 points in competitive PvP.
What has been the problem with the weapon so far? The issue with The Recluse is that, in principle, it is clearly a PvE-oriented weapon. However, it can only be earned through PvP.
As if that wasn’t already enough for many PvE players, you also have to engage in the competitive mode of the Crucible – where mainly skilled and well-coordinated teams roam and shatter the dreams of many lonely PvE Guardians.
Because Glory points are only available there, and gathering 2,100 of them is anything but easy for many. Wins that earn points are only achieved with a good team, or as an average PvP player at a certain level, it becomes increasingly difficult. Losses also deduct points. If you’re not particularly fond of PvP, the competitive playlist has posed an almost insurmountable obstacle to obtaining this top weapon for many.
That has now changed: The requirements for obtaining The Recluse have not changed at all. You still have to go into PvP, and this top weapon is still associated with effort and work.
However, Destiny 2 has adjusted several factors with the release of Shadowkeep that now make the path to this weapon considerably easier than before – even for solo players. Specifically, these include
A new competitive playlist for solo players
As well as skill-based matchmaking in competitive PvP
How you benefit from the solo playlist: The new Freelance mode in competitive PvP is specifically aimed at solo players. Pre-made teams are not allowed here. Individual players therefore don’t have to worry about encountering so-called 4-stacks (well-coordinated 4-man teams) and being crushed by them within seconds.
This has been one of the biggest problems when fighting through competitive PvP in search of Glory points. This factor has now been eliminated. In Freelance, each player is assigned a randomly assembled team. Therefore, the chances are equal for everyone.
How you benefit from improved matchmaking: There is also the so-called skill-based matchmaking for competitive modes. This matchmaking system now increasingly tries to match every player with Guardians and against enemies of similar skill levels. Although there were some issues at the start of Shadowkeep – the system didn’t work as it should – after a hotfix, this form of player search now seems to be performing better.
Additionally, depending on your skills, you can now earn significantly more and faster Glory points since these are also tied to some sort of skill ranking. In short: the better you play, the faster you level up.
After a victory, you now earn more Glory points. Up to 200 are possible now – even without a winning streak. The point deduction after losses can be almost negligible – you now lose about 10 points. Previously, there were about 100 Glory points for wins depending on rank, and losses could deduct 60-80 points from you.
That’s why you should try your hand at the quest now: Even if you only win 1 out of 10 matches, you can, with a bit of effort, patience, and time, survive to the “Famous” rank in Competitive. The progress may now depend on skill, but sooner or later, in principle, almost everyone should be able to gather the 2,100 Glory points.
So if you don’t have the Spider yet, you should venture into the quest at this point. Because even though you still have to sweat for this top weapon – the path there has never been easier.
Will you now attempt the quest for the Spider if it has been missing for you so far? Or is this weapon still not worth the effort for you?
The merchants’ offer in The Division 2 has been revamped with Title Update 6 and also restocked. The unscheduled reset brings two good mods for high weapon damage friends at the start of the new content.
What do you need to know about the merchants after TU6? The merchants in The Division 2 are an essential part of the “Buildings” for many agents and offer players the chance each week to obtain some good items and attribute values.
Although the merchant reset actually occurs from Friday to Saturday (with the exception of the secret weapon dealer Cassie), a new stock has arrived at the merchants’ displays with Title Update 6 on October 15, and the offers have also been kindly expanded.
Merchants now have rarer items
All normal merchants (Dark Zone, settlements) now also sell equipment or skill mods, and the special merchants (Cassie, Clan, Hideout) additionally come with “Named Items” and gear set items.
Which items should I take with me now? This first reset in TU6 immediately introduces some strong equipment mods into the agents’ pockets. The following items are worth a look:
Mod Attack System: Weapons
Merchant: White House
Specialty: +2% Weapon Damage / +3% AR Damage
Mod Attack System: Weapons
Merchant: Clan Level 30
Specialty: +1% Weapon Damage / +4% Sniper Damage
China Light Mask
Merchant: Campus
Specialty: Good skill starter mask with Destroyer (+40% Explosion Damage) and two yellow skill attributes
Yaahl Gear
Merchant: DZ East
Specialty: First item of this brand for sale
Commando (Named SVD)
Merchant: Clan Level 30
Specialty: The talent “Perfectly Exposed”
Attack System Mods for Fine-Tuning
The attack system mods should please some agents and boost weapon damage by a few percent. The “China Light Industries” mask might appeal to the newly minted technicians who are crafting a skill build with the new specialization.
The Clan merchant now also offers “Named Items” and thus makes it easier for some agents to start building what will hopefully soon be a large collection of good named weapons and armor pieces.
When is the next merchant reset? That’s not so certain yet. It is possible that the current reset shifts the date from Saturday to Tuesday or Wednesday, thus synchronizing all merchant rotations at the same time.
The patch notes for TU6 don’t provide much insight yet. The description of the new Hideout merchant only indicates that this merchant normally rotates, but that could also mean that the current rotation dates aren’t changing.
Patch with many balance changes and new content
What else is new with Title Update 6? Alongside TU6, the content expansion “Episode 2” was released, which is currently only accessible to owners of the “Year-One Pass”. The DLC brings several new missions and sends agents into the Pentagon to protect dangerous technologies from the mercenary group “Black Tusk”.
However, new content is already available for players without the season pass. TU6 brings back the expeditions, which were removed shortly after the last major update due to the missing mastery feature. Additionally, the new specialization, the Technician, can already be unlocked by all players.
What do you think of the first merchant reset of the new update? Will you get the mods?
Do you not like the skins in Borderlands 3 that you can earn? Gearbox is now offering some skin packs for purchase.
What has Gearbox announced? In case you find the cosmetics in Borderlands 3 lame, Gearbox is now offering five skin packs that you can buy for real money. These are skins for your characters, which were also included as pre-order bonuses in the Deluxe Edition and Super Deluxe Edition. With these cosmetics, you can further customize your heroes.
Get the skin packs
What skin packs are available and what do they cost? Each of the five packs is offered for 4.99 Euros. You can buy these packs:
Borderlands 3 Toy Box Weapons Pack
Toy weapons with unique effects
Toy grenade mod
Toy weapon ornament
Borderlands 3 Gearbox Cosmetic Pack
Gearbox weapon skin
Gearbox weapon ornament
Borderlands 3 Retro Cosmetic Pack
Retro Vault Hunter head
Retro Vault Hunter skin
Retro ECHO device skin
Retro weapon skin
Borderlands 3 Gold Weapon Skins Pack
Golden weapon ornament
Golden weapon skins applicable to all firearms
Borderlands 3 Neon Cosmetic Pack
Neon Vault Hunter head
Neon Vault Hunter skin
Neon ECHO device skin
Neon weapon ornament
How do you get the skins? You can buy the packs now for 4.99 Euros each in the Microsoft Store, PSN Store, and the Epic Games Store.
Skin packs are received neutrally
How are players reacting to this? The reactions are quite balanced. There are players who are excited and want to buy the packs right away. Others, however, wonder if Gearbox is seriously charging for the skins that were originally free as pre-order bonuses.
Nevertoolatetogame says on Reddit: “They are cool, but not as cool as the skins from Borderlands 2.”
MathematicXBL writes: “They gave the skins out for free and are now selling them. What’s going on?”
https://youtu.be/Av5Eyx3bGtM
Overall, the new cosmetic packs are received quite well. After all, it was also possible to buy skins in Borderlands 2, which is why the sale of cosmetics is not criticized as much. However, most people still consider the cosmetic items from Borderlands 2 to be better. Gearbox will need to put in more effort with the design in the future.
What do you think of the skin packs? Do you like them? Are they unnecessary or should Gearbox have offered the pre-order skins for free?
The game Fortnite was unplayable for over a day and a half. Now there is a new map in Fortnite: Battle Royale. But a group of players is currently frustrated with Epic: The original players and buyers of Fortnite, fans of “Save the World.”
Who are the original players of Fortnite? What many today may not know: The Fortnite that most people know was hastily thrown together by Epic in record time.
The actual Fortnite was released a few months earlier, in the summer of 2017, as a paid “Early Access” title for PC, PS4, and Xbox One, after Epic had been developing the game for years. It was supposed to be the flagship project for the “Unreal Engine 4,” but it was delayed for a long time, went missing, and was almost forgotten.
Fortnite: Save the World is a coop shooter where players can build forts to defend against zombies.
That was briefly popular in the summer of 2017, but most players quickly lost interest. Likely also because the monetization and progression system of the game seemed to be directly derived from a Chinese mobile game.
In the following months, Save the World was developed with some new modes, such as Survival, in an engaged but somewhat dubious manner.
Since Fortnite Battle Royale has become such a hit, the development of Fortnite: Save the World has apparently slowed down. Although Epic has improved the progression system and made the Loot Llamas more publicly fair, there have been no major leaps in Fortnite in the last few months.
Epic’s Forgotten Children: “We Are Just Not Getting Anything”
Epic itself says that the update for the season start for Save the World is smaller than previous ones. They now want “to release fewer updates – but they should have a greater impact.”
The players of Save the World feel completely abandoned and left behind by Epic with Fortnite Chapter 2. Frustrated players are venting on reddit:
PvE players feel like “second-class players” – after all, they paid for the game but are hardly getting anything new now (via reddit)
the servers were down for almost 48 hours, and Battle Royale received many improvements, yet the PvE players are getting practically nothing, just “fucking reskins” and a “shitty roadmap” (via reddit)
it is clear that Epic has lost passion for “Fortnite: Save the World” and has given up on the game (via reddit)
Lack of Progress is Frustrating
What’s behind it: Fortnite: Save the World was supposed to be “finished” as a Free2Play title in 2018. Instead, this release has been postponed indefinitely.
Then in November 2018, a larger patch was released for the game that overhauled the interface – but that was almost it.
Since then, only promises and minimal improvements have surfaced. It is currently unclear how Epic will continue the game or when exactly this “Free2Play” release, which was actually scheduled for 2018, will happen.
Even now, players are mainly presented with features that “might” still come, but little concrete is said.
Fortnite: Save the World may not have a huge number of players, but it has some loyal fans who now feel increasingly neglected. The specter hanging over it is “Paragon”: Epic’s action MOBA started with a lot of potential but was then infamously ended.
Fans have the feeling that their game could meet a similar fate.
Since October 15, Overwatch can officially be played on the Nintendo Switch. It was supposed to make many players happy. However, it is now causing problems. Even the supposedly coolest feature is not exactly a hit.
As reported by US site Kotaku, curiously, the handheld mode of the Switch is the best way to play Overwatch. While there is no LAN option and performance is somewhat weaker, Overwatch looks much better and is also more enjoyable.
Overwatch and Switch – Does it even fit?
These are the criticisms: The Switch version of Overwatch is played at 30 FPS. This is only half of the 60 FPS on PS4 and Xbox One and significantly less than many PC players expect from a shooter (144 FPS).
This, along with connection problems, leads to affected players having a poor gaming experience, hardly hitting, and frequently losing.
The innovative controls of the Nintendo Switch cause even bigger problems. Players were supposed to intuitively move with the motion sensors, tilt the camera and targets. However, this leads to rather chaotic movements and severely warped abilities that go nowhere.
Hitting accurately is a challenge due to the controls.
Who is supposed to play this at all? Another point raised in the community is the question of the players. On reddit there are small threads where fans fear that Overwatch will simply miss the players on Switch. Kotaku also sees problems here:
It is hard to imagine the target demographic of the game: the kind of people who have missed the hugely popular team shooter but are interested enough to try it on the console, which is least likely to showcase the features that have made [the game] popular.
Timing is also somewhat unfortunate. Blizzard is currently staggering from one shitstorm to the next, and the Hong Kong debate casts a shadow over the Switch release of Overwatch:
The guild APES is making waves again in WoW Classic. With a nasty trick, they trolled the server and made a resource completely unreachable.
In WoW Classic, the guild APES occasionally makes headlines. They were the ones who cleared the Molten Core first and defeated Onyxia within a few days, while Method and other professional guilds from Retail WoW were still leveling up. However, the guild appears to be up for other antics, as they recently played a prank in the Un’Goro Crater of the Gehennas realm.
What happened? Four mages and a druid from the guild APES went to the Un’Goro Crater. There, they “collected” the 4 Devilsaurs and dragged them all the way to the edge of the map, near the cliffs, without killing them. The Devilsaurs were then permanently affected by the mage spell Polymorph, causing them to be held in place as sheep. As a result, all Devilsaurs “vanished” from the crater, and players could no longer farm them.

What were the consequences? When other players began searching for the Devilsaurs, they consequently could not find them. Over time, more and more players gathered at the spawn points of the Saurians, but there was no respawn. No wonder, as the Saurians were still alive and “in combat”.
After some hours of waiting, players from other guilds began to search for the Saurians. They even roamed towards Silithus, exploring the caves of the Silithid, until finally someone noticed the sheep at the edge of the map.
The whole action lasted over 4 hours and cost several dozen players a lot of waiting time, many of whom surely asked themselves if this was just a bug.
Why are Devilsaurs so important? The leather from Devilsaurs is a coveted resource across all Classic realms. This is because the leather is needed for several crafting recipes that are especially desirable for rogues and warriors. Some of these items are even considered “Best in Slot” for a long time. Therefore, Devilsaurs leather sells well and is in high demand.
What do you think about this action? A funny little prank with a clever execution? Or malicious trolling to deny other players resources?
Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 1 brought many innovations. Now you can pick up teammates and opponents when they are down.
What happened? After the live event of Season 10 took place, players had to wait 2 days before they could continue playing.
Now the wait is finally over, and everyone can play Fortnite again. But Fortnite is no longer what it was. Many changes have been incorporated into the game, including carrying teammates or opponents when they are down. This is what happens when players fall to 0 health points and then wait:
either to be revived by a team member
or to be eliminated by an opponent
The Twitch streamers XQc and DrLupo have already had a painful encounter with this new feature.
Twitch streamers are captured by players
Who was captured? The Fortnite streamers XQc, DrLupo, and CDNThe3rd were captured by their opponents when they were down. One of them was even thrown off a cliff.
What happened with streamer XQc? The Twitch streamer was in a match with other well-known streamers: TSM-Myth, Tfue, and cloakzy.
xQc was down, and one of his opponents came to pick him up. He was then carried to the edge of the map and thrown down the waterfall. The streamer was totally surprised and said: “Yo, what the fuck? That guy just threw me off the cliff.”

What happened with streamer DrLupo? The Twitch streamer was just in a match in Fortnite when he was downed by an opponent. The opponent ran to him and picked him up on his back.
He carried DrLupo to a sewage drain, threw him into the water, and did a “dab”. Then he picked him up again and ran away with him. DrLupo informed his teammates and said, “He’s abducting me. He’s just carrying me away.”
They came to a pond, and the opponent threw him into a floatation ring. The streamer tried to swim away, but he was eliminated by the opponent. At the end, he said: “I just got abducted in Fortnite.”

Since yesterday, an event is ongoing in Borderlands 3 that provides players with more Eridium. However, it is not being received well.
This is what the event is about: The event week “Show me the Eridium” started on Tuesday and focuses on the purple element Eridium.
Eridium acts as a rare currency in Borderlands 3, primarily obtained through mining crystals. It can also be found in chests, lockers, and dropped by some strong enemies. In this event, the Eridium drop rate has been increased. You can also receive it from standard enemies.
You can find all the information about the event here:
Eridium is needed for: “More Eridium” initially sounds good. With this element, you can purchase cosmetics from Crazy Earl or buy anointed weapons. It is also used in some slot machines and as ammunition for the Gun-Gun.
Why the event is not well-received: Nevertheless, players do not seem to warm up to the new event week. Previous events focused on enemies:
The Eridium event, however, brings a currency that many players already seem to have hoarded in large quantities. They have already bought all the interesting items, leaving little use for the extra Eridium.
Cosmetics are available at Earl – if you don’t already have them all
This is what players say: On reddit, for example, user Terachos writes: “I start the event already sold out. I don’t know what to look forward to.”
Background: Anyone who has already purchased all cosmetics from Earl cannot spend their Eridium there anymore. On top of that, not every player finds all cosmetics particularly appealing.
Especially players who have already completed the game are a bit puzzled about what the event is good for. Even Earl’s anointed weapons cannot compete with the weapons that you are already collecting: “This event would be much better if Crazy Earl sold anointed legendary weapons,” says user Doidlewok.
Additionally, some players wished that the old events would simply remain active while the new ones are added. Thus, the Eridium week is perceived as somewhat disappointing.
The Eridium event is only somewhat popular
Is the event worth it in the end? The Eridium week struggles mainly because many players are not interested in the other purchasable items. However, some hope that the additional Eridium will still become useful.
Because: The Halloween event “Bloody Harvest” starts at the end of October. Now, players hope that there will be new cosmetics that can be obtained from Earl. They also expect new items at other times, such as Christmas.
In that case, it might be worthwhile to farm as much Eridium as possible now and spend it later.
What is certain is that there will be new content for Borderlands 3 in the future, and a new patch is likely coming soon:
If you want to swear allegiance to an Old God, you can do so in Patch 8.3 of WoW . There is even a reward for killing your friends.
Currently, the Patch 8.3 Visions of N’Zoth is on the PTR and is being actively tested by players. However, data miners and players have noticed a small detail that many fans of the Old Gods will likely appreciate. Those who wish to can join the Old God and kill their friends.
What has been found? An item has been discovered in the game files that apparently starts a quest. This is “N’yleth, Sliver of N’Zoth”. This item can be used to sacrifice 60% of your health and then be transformed into a Shath’Yar, a servant of N’Zoth. In doing so, you will become hostile to all players and can attack them (at least in War Mode).
Where exactly you can obtain this item is still unclear. However, it is presumably in the “Invasions” in the Valley of Eternal Blossoms or Uldum.
What is the reward? In connection with this transformation, there is also a reward. A quest has already been found that is named “Servant of N’Zoth”. This quest requires players of the Alliance:
[Class] … I have watched you … I have felt your bloodlust. But you serve false prophets … the Alliance is an illusion … I am a God! Prove to me that you are worthy of my gift … kill those who will betray you … Kill … the Alliance!
For players of the Horde, the quest text is of course slightly altered.
If someone manages to kill 10 players in a row as Shat’Yar with this quest, they will receive “N’yleth, Sliver of N’Zoth” as a toy, allowing them to use it repeatedly. Additionally, they will earn the title “Servant of N’Zoth” if they want to openly display their allegiance in the world.
What does the Gift of N’Zoth have to do with this? It is currently suspected that only players who have not cleansed their “Gift of N’Zoth” from Patch 8.1.5 will have access to this item. At that time, players received an eye of N’Zoth on their forehead and could decide whether to cleanse it or keep it. It is quite possible that the title and toy will only be available to players who have thus far refused this cleansing.
The Gift of N’Zoth, which some players still wear. Image source: wowhead
This is currently just a theory; the necessity of the gift has not yet been confirmed.
What do you think of such an item? Is it cool to pledge yourself to N’Zoth and grab this title? Or will it just be annoying when you are attacked by your own faction?
With Legends of Runeterra (LoR), the LoL creators Riot Games are working on a competitor to Hearthstone, aiming to eliminate randomness in acquiring new cards.
The game starts with the Runeterra regions Demacia, Noxus, Ionia, Piltover & Zaun, Freljord, and the Shadow Isles, along with 24 champions.
The gameplay resembles Blizzard’s Hearthstone. You deploy your champions and their abilities in the form of cards, trying to tactically outsmart and defeat your opponent round after round.

What is special about LoR? Not only will you experience the world of League of Legends with all its champions, characters, creatures, and regions in a new game, but LoR aims to give you control over how you obtain desired cards – without disrupting the balance.
This means you can acquire the cards you need either with earned or purchased currency.
How exactly do you obtain new cards? There are several ways to get new cards:
You complete missions and automatically receive new cards.
Once per week, you unlock chests from the vault. Depending on the vault level, you will find higher quality cards in the chests. At level 10, you are guaranteed a champion.
You may occasionally find wildcards that you can exchange for cards of your choice.
In the shop, you get the cards for the currency shards that you want. Shards can be earned or purchased.
There will be no random card packs to buy without knowing what’s inside.
Can you buy as many cards as you want? No. There is a limit. You should obtain most cards in the game and not through the shop. Therefore, there will be a cap on how many shards you can spend on cards.
E-sports are not a priority
What game modes are there? Planned are “limited” and draft-based modes as well as the ability to challenge friends to a duel. There are also missions you can play. Riot Games will provide more details about the game modes soon.
Will Riot enter the E-sports arena with Legends of Runeterra? There are no active plans in this regard yet. However, LoR is designed as a competitive game, and E-sports leagues are conceivable for the future.
How to participate
When does LoR start? From October 16 (4 AM CEST) to October 21 (4 AM CEST), you can preview a special “preview patch”. The closed beta is planned for early 2020 on PC. The release is also set for 2020.
On which platforms will LoR be released? The release is planned for PC, Android, iOS, and Mac.
Riot Games, the makers behind League of Legends (LoL), announced today (October 15) in a live stream several new games. Among them is the mysterious Project F. Could it actually be the MMORPG that is the subject of numerous rumors?
What do we know about Project F? Riot Games is keeping a tight lid on the new project. We know that
the game is still in a very early development stage
it deals with the possibility of exploring Runeterra together with friends
Runeterra is the fictional world in which the story of League of Legends takes place. Here, the numerous champions have their home.
LoL features a mystical world that is perfect for an MMO.
Why could Project F be an MMORPG?
Here’s the background: For a while, rumors have circulated that Riot is working on a big LoL MMORPG. This rumor arose mainly due to three factors:
a tweet from Riot founder Marc Merril, in which he asked whether Riot Games should build an MMO
the hiring of various MMORPG experts at Riot Games between 2014 and 2016
the securing of the “Legends of Runeterra” brand in November 2018.
The rumor of a LoL MMO spread like wildfire and generated huge hype in the community.

This video of an interactive map also fueled the MMO rumor.
Later, however, Riot Games backtracked and dispelled the rumor. An employee stated that there are no concrete plans at Riot to build a LoL MMORPG. Since the live stream, we also know that “Legends of Runeterra” is a collectible card game similar to Magic: The Gathering or Hearthstone – only set in the LoL universe.
However, he also pointed out that there are good reasons not to want to take on a giant like World of Warcraft. Nevertheless, Riot would explore a lot and also think about many things.
We eagerly look to the future and wonder if a LoL MMORPG is currently being developed.
This is speculation: We don’t know whether Project F is really an MMORPG. The facts remain that it is in early development and only deals with the possibility of exploring Runeterra together with friends.
However, since Riot Games wants to cater to the community’s wishes and the idea of an MMORPG received so much acclaim, it lies within the realm of possibility.
Clip in the stream shows the game in isometric perspective
Update 11:43, What was seen? At the event yesterday, this short clip of a game from an isometric perspective was shown, which could not be attributed to any of the other games presented.
It is possible that this was “Project F” and that the game is heading towards “Diablo-MMO” / “Lost ARK”.

What else was in the live stream? Riot Games held a worldwide stream last night to celebrate the 10th anniversary of LoL. Several new projects and games were announced, some of which we can expect in the near future:
Don’t have time or enthusiasm to level up to 900 in Destiny 2? No problem. With the new booster, you can simply buy the level-up.
How can you quickly reach level 900 in Destiny 2? Since October 15th, Bungie has offered a “Character Boost” for Destiny 2. With this, it is possible to quickly bring your hero to level 900.
How much does the boost cost and what restrictions are there? For the Shadowkeep Character Boost, you pay 2,000 Silver, which is roughly equivalent to 20 Euros.
However, you can only buy the booster if you have already brought one Guardian to level 900. It is therefore not possible to start the game new with a Power Level of 750 and immediately buy the booster for your first Guardian.
Fast Ascension with Bonuses
What exactly does the booster provide? Not only will your Guardian be instantly pushed to level 900, but they will also benefit from additional advantages:
All locations in the game are immediately unlocked
You will receive weapons and armor of level 900
The items will be sent to you via the Postmaster system
What happens if you delete such a high-leveled character? Then they are gone. Including all items. There are also no refunds.
Doesn’t this boost go against the game principle of Destiny 2? The loot shooter essentially defines itself by grinding for more items and leveling up to higher levels. Actually, this skips most of the game.
However, for many Destiny 2 fans, the endgame such as the new Nightfalls or the Raid are particularly important. For that, a highly leveled Guardian is needed and with the boost, it allows several characters to quickly reach the soft cap level and thus start into the endgame directly with different characters.
Then you can relatively quickly, within a few hours, level up by about 100 levels. So achieving the soft cap of 900 is not really a big effort. However, if you want to save that, you can buy the boost for 2,000 Silver.
The Community is Not Bothered by the Boost
How does the community react to the boost? Surprisingly, only a few people are upset about it. Of course, there are those who find it unfair to be able to buy a level-up with money. But the opposing voices are more numerous.
After all, such level boosts are also found in other games. Moreover, for most, it’s simply about the endgame, where the game truly begins for many Guardians. How one ultimately gets there seems to not matter to many. Therefore, many players view this level boost quite relaxed.
Player lebaumer remarked on Reddit: “Honestly, I don’t understand why people complain about it when it doesn’t really affect them. Not everyone has the time to grind a lot, and even if they did have the time, they might not want to.”
Syekomantis writes in the official forum: “Games like Neverwinter offer similar things that allow you to complete entire campaigns to avoid grinding. And WoW has a character boost for 60 dollars. Yes, people just buy such things.”
What do you think about this level boost? Does it bother you?Do you find it useful? Or is this feature completely indifferent to you?
Today, a new and extensive update for the MMORPG TERA is being released. This update brings more challenges for high-level players.
Who is this new update for? The major update “On to Exodor” is primarily aimed at players who have experienced everything in TERA and reached the level cap.
So, those who are currently twiddling their thumbs will soon be able to dive into new challenges.

What does the update bring? The biggest novelty is the floating continent of Exodor. On this continent, you can expect new quests and enemies, and you will find plenty of equipment to improve your high-level character.
The continent of Exodor is divided into the regions of Rogash’s Estate, Exodor Plantation, Viridian Swamp, and Berak Fortress.
You will experience new quests that reveal more about the continent, its inhabitants, and a new threat.
In addition to the story quests, you will encounter side missions in the individual zones and can complete daily tasks.
The “Secret Zone of Berak Fortress” is a new dungeon for five players that you can enter starting at level 69. There, you will find valuable loot.
You will acquire new equipment with special attributes, allowing you to further improve high-level heroes.
You will collect card fragments and add them to an album. Combine cards to receive bonuses.
Fight dangerous world bosses with other players and your self-bred partners.
Fish for new fish
Balancing optimizations and bug fixes
Finally more endgame
What is special about the update? On one hand, the new update for TERA is incredibly extensive. A continent with new zones, many quests, items, and bosses sounds basically like an addon for the long-lasting MMORPG.
Furthermore, it’s content that will keep high-level players engaged again. In many MMORPGs, the content is quickly exhausted, and those who have seen and done everything then wait for such expansions. TERA now offers exactly what this target group wishes with “On to Exodor”.
When will the update be released? “On to Exodor” will be launched today for both the European version from Gameforge and the US version of TERA on PC.
How well the new update will be received and whether it truly brings the content that high-level players are looking for in TERA will be revealed in the coming days.
The LoL developer Riot Games had been quiet for years. Now they have suddenly announced 6 new games. That’s what you call a big announcement. We will show you the new games and first videos.
What happened? Last night there was a live stream for the 10th anniversary of League of Legends. Here, Riot Games celebrated themselves a bit, but also made many new announcements about new games.
However, often only a brief overview is given of what is coming.
These are the 6 new games:
League of Legends: Runeterra – this will be a card game coming in 2020 for PC and Mobile. It is supposed to be somewhat like Hearthstone, but with less randomness and set in the world of League of Legends.
Riot Games promises dynamic battles where players can prove their tactical skills.
Legends of Runeterra will be free to play. Players should be able to earn the cards either in “numerous free ways” or “earn or purchase the necessary currency.”

League of Legends: Wild Rift – this will be a mobile version of LoL, but it is supposed to run a bit differently. The games are supposed to last 15-18 minutes and be action-oriented. It will also be available for “consoles,” which presumably means PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
Wild Rift is supposed to be released on mobile in 2020 – no specific details are yet given for consoles.

Project A – will be a new stylish hero shooter, sounds a bit like Overwatch. It should be a tactical and competitive shooter in the “Riot” style that will be expanded over the years.
The video gives the impression of addressing the points that annoy players in other shooters: Such as server lag or cheating.
Riot Games promises a shooter with a lot of style, offering players creative ways to proceed strategically. More about Project A is expected in 2020.

Project L – this is a fighting game. It was already known beforehand that Riot Games is making it. There are still few details, but it is said that the game will also take place in the LoL universe.
Riot Games had bought a smaller studio, Radiant Entertainment, which previously developed a fighting game called Rising Thunder – and that is likely their project.
Here you see first images from the game – with some gameplay in the background.

There was a discussion a few months ago about whether Riot Games is making an MMO – this could now be the occasion for that question back then. The idea is probably that Riot Games has invested so much in the world of LoL that you could enter it together.
League of Legends Esports Manager – a team management game that Riot is currently working on. This is supposed to be released in 2020 with the players from the LPL, the Chinese League of Legends. And from there, extend to other leagues.
The eSports manager should give players the feeling of truly managing a team: It requires decisions on strategy, the pick and ban, and probably also transfers in the off-season.

With the shooter, the fighting game, and the card game, Riot is broadening its scope – Blizzard has already done this years ago. The eSports manager seems to be a little gimmick for LoL fans who think their team drafts only mistakes and they could do it much better.
“Project F” is the big joker in the background. They have been working on many of these projects for a long time, as we know. They have probably kept all this information for the big bang.
WoW Classic has only been out for a few weeks and Phase 2 has not even started yet. Nevertheless, many players are already wondering how the content will continue once Classic is “through”. There are already ideas. We have looked at some possible content.
What is “WoW Classic+”? For some time now, there has been a petition from players to start “WoW Classic+”. Behind the somewhat abstract term is the idea that WoW Classic will be expanded with new content specifically for Classic after reaching the last “old” content.
Some fans are already excited about Classic+. Others are more against it or criticize it. However, the idea definitely has many starting points for new content.
When is Classic “over”? This is being demanded because the content of WoW Classic will eventually be played through. At the end of the five announced phases of WoW Classic is finally the necropolis Naxxramas, the last raid of WoW from 15 years ago.
Until then, some time will pass, as Phase 2 hasn’t even started yet. Next up is the release of Duskwood.
Nevertheless, many players and MeinMMO reader chips7 see it that way that thoughts should now be made about new content. After all, it also takes time for development and wouldn’t just appear suddenly.
5 Contents that WoW Classic could continue with
What kind of contents are these? We have thought about this topic. Anyone who has played WoW before or Classic again will have stumbled upon many places where there is unused potential.
Classic already offers many contents that were never really finished or that could easily fit into the game – because they already exist and just need to be “activated”. We show you five of these ideas.
1. Uldum and the Machines of the Titans
Where can the machines be found and what are they? The Titans created Azeroth as we know it according to numerous legends in the game. Remnants of their work are the machines of the Titans, which can still be found in parts of Azeroth.
In Classic, we find rather few of these machines and devices. The most prominent places with remnants of the Titans are:
the patrolling stone guardians and standing constructs in the Un’goro Crater
The locked entrance to Uldum.
That they often have some sort of use was shown by the following expansions. WotLK, Legion, and now Battle for Azeroth focused particularly heavily on the Titans and their machines.
This is how new content could look like: In southern Tanaris, some giant guardians still protect the passage to Uldum, to which a quest line from Uldaman even leads. However, it simply goes no further.
This quest line could be used to unlock a Uldum raid or a new endgame zone Uldum as a pre-quest. Since Uldum is close to the Un’goro Crater, the constructs could also be integrated here.
These pylons currently serve for repeatable quests but could also fulfill further roles.
Possible options would be:
a daily quest hub like the Isle of Quel’Danas in Burning Crusade or the Isle of Thunder in Mists of Pandaria
a large global event like the opening of Ahn’qiraj
daily expeditions in the form of dungeons that alternate
2. The Timbermaw Hold
Where is the Timbermaw Hold located? The Timbermaw Hold is a complex between Felwood, Winterspring, and Moonglade, where Furbolgs reside. Here, players must earn reputation so they can peacefully reach Winterspring.
Another part of the Timbermaw Hold is also located in Azshara. Here, several Furbolgs of the Hold guard a huge gate that presumably leads to nowhere and that players cannot open.
What exactly is behind it can only be guessed. However, it is likely that the actual Hold is where the Furbolgs reside and that it offers more than the small cave complex in northern Felwood.
This is how new content could look like: Since the Timbermaw Hold already exists as a reputation faction, that could become a new content. Depending on the reputation level, players would then receive new tasks or access to certain areas.
Similar to how the Argent Tournament worked in Wrath of the Lich King or the Molten Front in Cataclysm, players could earn reputation for special rewards or further quests.
The Argent Tournament in the north of Icecrown.
An approach like in the Molten Core would also be conceivable. Here, players need reputation with the Hydraxians to be able to face Ragnaros. New dungeons or raids could require reputation with the Hold to gain access.
3. Eranikus and the Emerald Dream
Who is Eranikus? Eranikus is a dragon of the Green Dragonflight, whose power is said to be surpassed only by Ysera herself (via Wowpedia). He was entrusted with guarding the sunken temple of Atal’Hakkar.
However, the trolls there summoned Hakkar into the world, and Eranikus went insane. In Classic, his shade slumbers as the last boss of that instance. Later in the story, Eranikus sacrifices himself in the battle against Xavius in the Nightmare.
The shade of Eranikus in the temple. Image source: Wowpedia.
In Classic, however, you can find his essence and bind it with a cauldron. It then serves as a trinket that accuses you with every use and sometimes calls for Itharius.
This is how new content could look like: If you locate Itharius in the Swamps of Sorrows, he sends you with the essence to Winterspring. Here you are to speak with Umbranse. However, the quest line ends abruptly.
Here, it could be addressed, as the start apparently already exists and the end was probably never implemented. One possibility would be to cleanse the essence and thus free Eranikus’s soul by visiting the Emerald Dream or fighting Hakkar.
At the end of the quest line, the essence could stand as a legendary trinket. Similar contents can also be found with Naxxramas. Here, the Corrupted Ashbringer can be found.
The Ashbringer later became the artifact weapon of the Retribution Paladins. Eranikus’s essence could be useful for all classes.
Through hidden quests, introduced in Legion for hidden skins, it should be possible to cleanse him to create the legendary weapon Ashbringer. The same could also be the case for the Eranikus quest line.
4. Ravenholdt
Where is Ravenholdt and what is it? The estate of Ravenholdt is hidden in the hills in the northern foothills of the Hillsbrad Foothills. It is full of assassins, rogue trainers, and NPCs who have something against “the Syndicate”.
The leader of Ravenholdt and owner of the estate is Lord Jorach Ravenholdt. Rogues are sent to him and his group for a short quest line in which they are to gather reputation with Ravenholdt.
This only goes up to a certain point. After that, there is a quest later to exchange heavy loot boxes for throwing knives, and that’s it. The content in Classic is “unfinished”.
This is how new content could look like: Ravenholdt itself is a quite mature complex and shows that a longer class quest line was waiting there. Logically, it could be continued with a battle against the Syndicate.
The estate is just a placeholder for general quests and areas that can further develop the class fantasy of the classes from Classic. In Ravenholdt, rogues could gather to receive new and special class quests.
Ravenholdt and this idea were already taken up in Legion in the form of the Order Halls of all classes. However, in Classic, places for each class already exist, such as the Chapel of Hopeful Light, Uther’s tomb, or Moonglade, which could also provide such a hub for other classes.
The Order Halls have given the classes a profile.
At this point, appropriate content could be introduced for special class rewards such as mounts or gear.
5. The Caverns of Time
Where and what are these caverns? The Caverns of Time are the home of the Bronze Dragonflight in World of Warcraft. Here, the guardians of time rest and ensure that the flow of time is not disturbed.
The caverns lie to the east of Tanaris and are not accessible in WoW Classic. In front of them wait several bronze dragons, including a boss needed for the Onyxia pre-quest.
In later expansions, the caverns serve to tell stories from the past of Warcraft. Through dungeons and raids, players must ensure that history takes its correct course and is not disturbed by the Infinite Dragonflight.
This is how new content could look like: In World of Warcraft, the Caverns of Time have only been used to bring new dungeons that take place in the past. However, they could also be used for the future.
Through the Caverns of Time, players could gain access to popular dungeons from other expansions without directly needing to implement these expansions. The dungeons could be scaled.
The Icecrown Citadel may be a bit too big of a target, but also possible.
By contrast, the “Timewalking Dungeons” already currently function, allowing players to play instances and raids from past expansions. The same technique could be applied in reverse.
Innovations for WoW Classic – Yes or no?
What could still come: If extensive ideas like those above cannot be realized, it is still possible to bring at least a few new features.
The next phases already hold the missing class quests. Additional content could easily be integrated here, which would not really disturb the “Classic feeling”.
Some quest lines and content are indeed implemented but clearly unfinished. In Azshara, for example, there is a quest from shipwrecked sailors (which cannot be completed yet) that simply does not continue. A shield guard also lies in a camp full of satyrs without further reason.
These are problems with the ideas: Any innovation is a change to the original Classic and could upset those who wanted Classic “as it was” and nothing else.
Others, on the other hand, are only bothered by certain features of Retail, which is why they switched to Classic.
The decision to bring new content must therefore be well thought out and may simply be discarded. Another shitstorm would surely not be beneficial.
But what do you think? Should “WoW Classic+” be released with ideas like those above? Or is Naxxramas enough forever?
Chapter 2 of Fortnite has started and it brings a variety of bots with it. They divide the community because they are incredibly weak. But is that good?
What has changed about the opponents: If you have played a few rounds in Chapter 2 of Fortnite, you have probably gotten a few more kills here and there.
The reason for this is the bots that Epic has introduced this season. They often wander around aimlessly and offer little resistance when you attack them.
What does the community think about it? The bots evoke mixed feelings among players. They are well received by some fans; after all, you can easily make kills and celebrate success, as players report on reddit:
CapAllan: “Thanks Epic for adding the bots! I’m bad at the game and most would just ask me if I want to quit right away. I tried, but I just can’t. But finally! I played a few solo games and oh man! I’m having fun!”
designforfood replies: “If there were a mode just with bots, that would be such a relaxed season. I completely agree with you! I don’t play as much as I used to because I’m also bad, so the game turned into a bush hiding simulator for me. This is so much more fun. Thank you for thinking of us little guys, Epic!”
Croxsy: “More bot games please… I didn’t even have this much fun in Season 10!”
However, there are also dissenting voices. For some players, the bots are simply too easy and too numerous in a round. You want to fight against other players and not just against bots. Here, too, we show you some opinions from reddit:
ILikeTomato: “These bots should spawn less or be harder to defeat.”
Bryanvilla96: “It somehow makes it worthless to get a kill without knowing whether it was a bot or a real person. I don’t like the bots.”
Are the bots really that easy to defeat? There are already numerous videos on reddit showing bots just standing around and doing basically nothing. Only someone who is really foolish would lose to such a bot.
So, if you don’t have to face a pro right at the beginning of a round, you can easily achieve some kills.
What is interesting about the bots: Especially beginners and rather weak players have often been annoyed by Fortnite. You rarely won a round and only with great luck if you did.
Now it seems that Epic is tailoring their game to exactly such players. Now even small players have some successes and fun.
It remains to be seen how the situation with the bots will develop and whether Epic will actually make them a bit harder.
What do you think of the bots? Are they too easy for you, or have you finally found fun in the game?
In the livestream for the 10th anniversary, Riot Games announced some new games set in the universe of League of Legends. But there are also new features for the MOBA itself, including a new champion.
She is expected to become a “Support Marksman”, thereby uniting both play styles to some extent. Senna uses a large rifle for her attacks and has about the range of Ashe. Nevertheless, her main focus lies in the support role.
When will Senna be released? The new champion Senna is set to hit the test servers on October 29. The official release is planned for November 10.
Senna, the new LoL champion
Champion that players have long anticipated
Who is Senna? Senna was Lucian’s wife, and together they possessed twin relic weapons with which they fought the evil in Runeterra, the world of LoL.
They also faced the horrors of the Shadow Isles, but Thresh cunningly managed to turn the battle. The Chain Warden captured Senna’s soul in his lantern.
How does Senna return? In a new trailer, we can follow an exciting battle between Lucian and Thresh. The marksman succeeds in destroying Thresh’s lantern.
This frees Senna from the grasp of the Chain Warden while simultaneously allowing her to take a precise shot to protect her beloved from an attack by Thresh.

What skills does Senna have? There is still no precise information about her abilities. However, the trailer provides a glimpse of possible skills. For example, she might create a shield as a protective barrier with a shot aimed at an allied champion.
However, Senna is not expected to be the only new feature that League of Legends will introduce in the coming weeks.
Changes to the Summoner’s Rift and new games
What else is changing in LoL? On October 22, the new update “Rise of the Elements” will be released on the Public Beta Environment (PBE). This update is expected to make one of the most significant changes to the Summoner’s Rift in many years:
The elemental dragons are expected to influence the terrain of the map. For example, killing the Ocean Dragon could cause the grass on the map to spread and provide more hiding spots, while the Fire Dragon burns down grass and walls.
The dragons will be generally adjusted, especially in terms of buffs for players.
There will be new spots in the jungle with grass for hiding and ambushes.
In the top and bot lanes, there will be new niches where one can also hide.
The new niches in the lanes
These changes are expected to be implemented in the live game on November 21.
More new games in the LoL universe: The livestream for the 10th anniversary of LoL held some surprises. You can look forward to:
Dead by Daylight will soon release the “Archives” feature. At least Cortyn is very excited about it because there are many new contents.
The last patch of Dead by Daylight, which brought the Demogorgon into the game, was several weeks ago. In just a few days, the Halloween event will be upon us, along with a new patch that will bring a feature announced months ago – the Archives.
What are the Archives? The Archives of Dead by Daylight can enable several things. They include:
New tasks and missions for the game
Unlocking cosmetic items and blood points
Expanding the story and background of the game
This is achieved through two different areas in the Archives. The so-called “Tomes” (tomes or books) and the “Rifts”.
What are the Tomes? The Tomes set the theme for the current narrative. For example, it is possible that Tomes focus primarily on the background of one or two characters. So, anyone who wants to learn more about the past of Claudette, Jake, the Trapper, or the Nurse will find information in the Tomes. However, these lore snippets are not immediately available. You have to unlock them through various tasks.
Each Tome has several levels (currently 4), which are gradually unlocked at intervals of 2 weeks. Each level contains a variety of tasks to complete. Some tasks are simpler, while others are more complex. For example, a mission might be to repair a total of 3 generators. A more complex mission would require capturing 2 survivors in a bear trap as the Trapper while using a specific perk.
As a reward for completing the missions, not only do you unlock the next task, but you also receive blood points and Rift Fragments. The fragments are important for unlocking further rewards.
How often will new content be released? The developers currently plan to expand the Archives with each “Mid-Chapter Patch” and release at least one Tome along with the corresponding Rift. This would mean that new content appears approximately every 3 months, although the Rifts themselves are only active for 70 days. There would be waiting times of 2-3 weeks between the Rifts.
What is a Rift? Along with each Tome, a Rift also enters the game. It is a path with 70 individual steps, on which you progress slowly. At certain levels, you unlock new cosmetic items. These can be brand new outfits or color variations of already existing items.
You can make progress on a Rift in several ways:
Completing missions in the corresponding Tome
Completing matches (through earned XP)
New are the “Charms,” a new type of cosmetic item. Survivors can wear these at their hips or killer can use them to decorate their hooks. The charms often relate to the story of the current Tome.
Anyone who wants can buy a Rift Pass for 1,000 Auric Cells. This is approximately equivalent to 10€. This will additionally unlock a path with premium rewards on top of the rewards available for free, also spread across 70 levels.
The progress on both paths is parallel. So if you have already unlocked all 70 levels in the “free” path and then buy the Rift Pass, you will unlock all premium rewards immediately.
Especially cool: You can completely recover the costs of 1,000 Auric Cells through the premium path. So, if you buy a Rift Pass and play diligently, you will accumulate enough currency to buy the next Rift Pass a few months later. This is reminiscent of “Battle Pass” features from other games, such as Fortnite.
Regular players only need to invest once 10€ to unlock all cosmetics and other rewards in the Archives.
How long does it take to unlock everything? The developers state that they created the Rift with the thought that an average player should be able to unlock everything. This assumes a playtime of 1 hour per day. If someone plays a total of 70 hours over the duration of a Rift of 70 days and completes a few missions from the Tome, they should be able to unlock everything.
Unlocking also possible with cash: If you don’t have enough time but still want a certain reward, you can also unlock the individual ranks with Auric Cells. Each of the 70 levels then costs 100 Auric Cells (or 1€ per level). However, you would probably only do this in emergencies since it could get expensive otherwise. For frequent players, this should not even be an option.
Cortyn says: For me, the Archives with the Rifts and Tomes are perfect. I have now reached a state where every character can do everything for me, and unlocks have little value unless I need new addons. With story content, many new cosmetics, and regular new unlocks, the Archives provide me enough incentive to regularly dive into Dead by Daylight.
After the demise of Evolve, Dead by Daylight has become a game for me that provides a quite intense gaming experience where I want to know more and more about the world and the characters. I think it’s great that this is finally being implemented and also available to frequent players at a comparatively small price.
However, it remains to be seen whether the developers can actually keep up with cosmetics and whether they don’t run the risk of becoming too silly – as that would not be good for the game.
Are you looking forward to the Archives?
