At BlizzCon 2019, Blizzard is reportedly set to announce Diablo 4. However, the visions circulating for the game are far from the “minimalistic look” that many fans desire. Even the Isometric perspective might be at risk.
For a year now, it has been known that Blizzard intends to present Diablo 4 at BlizzCon 2019. An insider report from Kotaku from November 2018 hinted at this.
In recent days and weeks, rumors have intensified that we will see Diablo 4 in Anaheim.

But little is known about Diablo 4 yet. What could the visions be?
Vision 1 Fenris: Like Diablo 3, but with more RPG
What would be the model? The model is to be found in Asia. “Action MMORPGs” like Lost Ark are coming from Korea.
These games take the ISO perspective that Diablo 3 popularized and combine it with more elements from classic MMORPGs:
the environment is destructible
there are diverse and complex quests and activities
as well as a variety of classes and upgrading options
new social hubs will be added where players can interact and form groups
but the focus remains on quick action, many kills and loot
This looks pretty classic for Diablo – but it is “Lost Ark” from Korea.
Why is this plausible? This “MMORPG light” version of Diablo would have been the game that David Brevik, the father of Diablo, would have made out of Diablo 3.
He then implemented his vision in Marvel Heroes – there were many more heroes than in Diablo 3 and more complex activities, even raids. There were also social hubs where you could meet other players.
At a higher level, Smilegate implemented this idea in South Korea with Lost Ark and seemed to hit a nerve – even with Western players who admire Lost Ark from afar.
Marvel Heroes had a high hustle factor.
There is a feeling in the air that a large Western studio is trying to achieve this balancing act between hack’n slash and MMORPG:
the complexity and social binding power of an MMORPG
the fast instant-action gameplay of a hack’n slash
the desire for looting, leveling, and slicing
Whoever successfully combines these three factors could have found the formula for a mega hit in the mainstream. Such a game would certainly also do well on PS5 and Project Scarlett.
According to the insider report, Blizzard is developing such a Diablo 4 under the codename “Project Fenris”.
A year ago, however, many questions were still open, such as whether to stick with ISO or whether to move to the third-person perspective.
What would be the model? The model here would be an action loot shooter like Destiny. It is also compared to Dark Souls:
The perspective would no longer be ISO, but third person
The style would be dark and gloomy – in the gothic look
It would be a classic, challenging dungeon crawler
Could you imagine a Diablo looking like this?
Why is this plausible? According to rumors, Blizzard developed this version of Diablo 4 between 2014 and 2016 as “Project Hades” but abandoned it.
Nevertheless, parts of this design are said to be under discussion for the current version: such as the third-person perspective.
If Blizzard has changed its mind and is moving more in that direction, Diablo 4 would occupy a new market for Activision Blizzard.
Diablo 4 will likely be a breakthrough
What is behind it: The interesting thing is that both versions that surfaced in late 2018 deviate significantly from the classic Diablo pattern:
The increased amount of “social” activities would only become apparent to many while playing
The switch to the third-person perspective would be a drastic stylistic break that would already cause discussions with the trailer
The veterans of Diablo 1 and 2 actually appreciate the “minimalistic” nature and the relatively few mechanics in Diablo, leaving much to the player’s discretion. They favor the dark look and the ominous aesthetic of Diablo.
How fans would react to “Hades” or “Fenris” would certainly be interesting: It is a difficult situation: Diablo fans somehow want innovation, but the spirit of Diablo should be preserved.
Blizzard can really only lose here.
At the moment, it looks like Diablo 4 is heading towards “MMO light”: Blizzard will likely add more social and RPG elements to the formula.
It would be surprising if Blizzard really moves away from the isometric look, especially since Lost Ark is such a success in South Korea. However, it cannot be ruled out that Diablo 4 will then be seen in third-person.
Final Fantasy XIV is the first MMORPG to receive a New Game+ mode. However, it works a bit differently than what you might expect from single-player games.
What is New Game+? In Final Fantasy XIV, with the upcoming Patch 5.1, it will be possible to experience the story again from the beginning. To do this, you start the feature “New Game+”.
How does the mode work? If you select New Game+, your adventure begins anew. You will have access to various sections of the long-running story of FFXIV. It starts with the Heavensward expansion and goes through all content patches up to the latest addon Shadowbringers.
You can choose which section you want to play. However, the story quests of “A Realm Reborn” are not included, as they are currently being revised and shortened. They are expected to be added after Patch 5.3 next year.
Playing through the story in New Game+ will not provide any EXP or other rewards. Over time, the developers also plan to add side quests, such as job quests.
New Game+ in an MMORPG
Why is this unusual for an MMORPG? A “New Game+” mode usually brings more EXP and better items in a single-player game to become more powerful. This is not the case with Final Fantasy XIV. This has balancing reasons.
Story quests provide a lot of EXP in FFXIV. New Game+ would thus be a loophole for players to quickly level up additional jobs. They wouldn’t do any other content then.
That’s why MMORPGs don’t use such systems. Final Fantasy XIV is therefore the first online role-playing game that allows you to start over in New Game+ and relive the entire story once again.
Why is the feature coming to the game? Players love the story of FF14. It is considered one of the best in the MMORPG genre, it stirs emotions, offers interesting characters, thrilling events, and simply draws you in. With the new mode, the developers now offer fans the chance to experience it all over again.
How does the mode affect the character? Not at all. Your job level is retained, as is your progress.

What does New Game+ actually bring? The mode is basically designed for you to relive the entire story of the MMORPG once again. Many players want to get their first character to endgame as quickly as possible and thus pay little attention to the story. Or they do not remember all the details due to the many events and want to experience the story again.
The story in FF14 including addons is really good. So, if you didn’t pay much attention during your first run and now want to take the time to enjoy the story at your leisure, you can simply play through it again with New Game+.
Basically, this is a very good way to integrate a “New Game+” mode into an MMORPG.
How are the players reacting? At first, FF14 players seemed a bit confused, as there are basically no rewards for replaying the story. After all, New Game+ works differently in single-player games.
However, the community shows understanding for the system. The balancing in MMORPGs must be maintained, and the game’s story is just so well received that it makes sense to want to experience it again.
RandomWeirdo says on Reddit: “Ah, I was hoping it would provide EXP. That way I could level up an alt job.”
OneEyed10 explains: “The system would be exploited heavily. Players would simply skip everything to level up. The system is only meant for the story.”
The public still does not know when the release of GTA 6 is. Nevertheless, a YouTube channel has now started a crazy marathon and is driving in GTA 5 in circles until the release. No matter when that is.
What kind of marathon is this? A livestream of GTA 5 is currently running under the title “Driving around the map of GTA 5 until the release of GTA 6 (world record)”. The broadcast started on October 5 and has been active for about 16 days now.
In the stream, you see a car, presumably Michael’s private vehicle, going around the map in singleplayer. Up to this point (October 21, 12:40 PM), 907 laps have already been completed. So far, over 2800 viewers have given this broadcast a “thumbs up”.
If you want, you can watch the driver, who is likely a bot, here. Update: The stream has moved to another channel, which we will embed here.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UD9rQ06NrfI
You can find out in the stream chat using chat commands how long the marathon has been active and how many laps have already been successfully completed.
How long will the marathon remain active? As announced, the Audi should continue to race around the map until the release of GTA 6. When that will be is unclear. In the video description, the YouTube channel assumes that the timeframe is still at least 365 days away. Until then, the car should still complete a few thousand laps.
What do we know about GTA 6? So far, Rockstar Games has not officially announced the game. But after San Andreas and GTA 5, players are sure that it is only a matter of time before the announcement for the release of Grand Theft Auto 6 appears.
Borderlands 3 offers you countless weapons. Each of these weapons comes with a unique sound. Senior Sound Designer Joshua Davidson explains in a video how this variance comes about.
There are so many weapon sounds in Borderlands 3: And of course, with each of them, there is a “bang” when shooting. Creating this ruckus was, according to Senior Sound Designer Joshua Davidson, quite a task. There are over 5500 individual weapon sounds in Borderlands 3.
A lot of noise and racket
This is how the variance of weapon sounds is created: As Joshua Davidson explains in the following video, the weapon sounds in Borderlands 3 are based on the construction of real weapons.

Each weapon consists of various parts to which the team has assigned individual sounds. By assembling these parts, a huge number of differently sounding weapons is created.
Are all weapon parts affected? However, not every component received a sound; otherwise, it would have clashed. The developers focused on what they considered the most important parts – like the barrel. If you play a rifle with a long plasma barrel, it will sound different than if you fire it with a short laser barrel.
This was still the case in Borderlands 2: In the predecessor Borderlands 2, according to the sound designer, there were only about 350 different gunshot sounds. This was mainly due to the older console generation, which did not provide enough capacity. So, when you fired a Jakobs pistol in Borderlands 2, it sounded like pretty much every Jakobs pistol.
Which boss did you find hardest in Borderlands 3? Here is the poll:
The Twitch streamer and card game professional Andrey “Reynad” Yanyuk is not particularly thrilled with Legends of Runeterra. For him, the LoL card game takes too few risks and thus lags behind titles like Gwent or Magic.
A few days ago, Riot Games released a flood of information and announced new games. One of them was Legends of Runeterra, a digital card game set in the world of League of Legends.
The first players have already been able to sneak into a beta version and play several rounds. However, Twitch streamer Reynad is not entirely satisfied with Legends of Runeterra.
Who is Reynad? In the realm of digital card games, Reynad is well-known. He was long considered one of the best Hearthstone players, but has also been active in GWENT, Shadowverse, and Magic.
He is not only a streamer but also the founder of the eSports team Tempo Storm, which is represented in many tournaments by its members. He also has a project underway where he is developing his own card game.
He is already controversial but certainly an expert in digital card games.

What is the criticism of LoR? Reynad expresses disappointment with Legends of Runeterra as he had high expectations. He thought the game “could be better than other card games.” But in the end, he finds that Legends of Runeterra is somewhat lacking in every respect. He says:
If I want to play a game where I can respond to my opponent’s actions, (…) I’d rather play Magic. Magic does it simply better. If I want to play a game with defensive battles, (…) I’d again rather play Magic. (…)
If I want to play a game where the priority switches back and forth and I’m interested in “chess-like” gameplay, I’d rather play GWENT.
And if I had to play a game after a lobotomy, where I drool on my sofa while playing on a tablet with my tongue, I would play Hearthstone.
Even if the last part clearly seems not to be entirely serious, it does illustrate the criticism of Legends of Runeterra.
In summary, Legends of Runeterra may struggle to find its own niche, as there is a game in all areas that is more appealing in certain aspects.
No Risk, No Audience: Reynad believes that Legends of Runeterra simply took too few risks and therefore is a rather solid game, but it might struggle to attract a specific player base.
Those who prefer to play “casual” will turn to Hearthstone, while those who are more into tactics and deeper strategy have probably already found their home in GWENT or Magic.
Whether Legends of Runeterra can carve out its own niche remains to be seen.
What is your opinion on Legends of Runeterra? Does the game make a solid impression, or do you support Reynad’s assumption?
The adventures in the MMORPG Star Wars: The Old Republic (SWToR) are continuing soon. We will tell you why you should check out the new expansion Onslaught.
Onslaught is the new major expansion for Star Wars: The Old Republic. Many fans are already looking forward to it for good reasons:
New adventures in a galaxy far, far away
Reason 1 – Finally, the story continues: After a long time, SWToR is getting a new expansion. This tells the story surrounding the war between the Republic and the Sith Empire continues. Resources are slowly running low, and criminals are gaining more and more influence. You will decide in the story whether you want to support the Empire or the Republic.
During this time, intrigues are driving the Sith Empire forward, and the Republic is in desperate search of allies against the Sith.
In the hollowed-out asteroid of Mek-Sha, pirates and smugglers reign.
Reason 2 – Visit new worlds:Onslaught is a very large expansion. You will explore three new worlds, each holding further quests. These advance the story surrounding the war.
Onderon – The ruler of this jungle world seems to want to break away from the Republic, which would have devastating consequences.
Mek-Sha – This large city is located inside an asteroid and provides shelter for smugglers and bandits.
Corellia – Return to this planet, which has been heavily ravaged by war and is currently the focus of Sith attacks. Here, you will encounter the finale of the story.
The Nautolans are a new species in the SWToR expansion Onslaught.
Reason 3 – A new species comes into play: The amphibious Nautolans make their appearance. Among the Nautolans is the well-known Jedi Master Kit Fisto, who played a role in the Star Wars prequel trilogy. You can create a Nautolan hero.
Reason 4 – Flashpoints and Operations: Furthermore, you will experience a Flashpoint on Corellia and fight for a strategically important shipyard. In addition, you will dive into an operation on Dxun, the largest moon of the planet Onderon. There, you must find out what the Czerka Corporation is up to. There is much to do, and you will learn more about the game’s lore.
Reason 5 – You can improve your hero: You will find an additional equipment slot where you can store “tactical items”. These will directly affect your abilities. Moreover, there are set bonuses, and you can level your hero up to the new maximum level 75.
In Onslaught, the new world Onderon is introduced.
It’s starting soon!
When does Onslaught start? The expansion will be released on October 22. If you have an active subscription to SWToR, you can download the expansion on that day.
Others, however, are excited. The wait has been very long since the last expansion until the release of Onslaught, so an extra month doesn’t really matter now. Players are very curious about the content and the gameplay innovations, such as the tactical items.
DryTransportation writes on Reddit: “There are some complaints, but I, for one, would rather wait a bit longer than play something buggy.” PsychoFlashFan explains: “I am glad I waited until the announcement of the release date to extend my subscription.”
In Fortnite Chapter 2, a new glitch has emerged that launches players high into the sky. We show you what happens when you want to hide.
Fortnite Chapter 2 brought some changes and a new map. On this map, you can now hide in dumpsters and haystacks. However, these new hiding spots could be your downfall due to a glitch.
What kind of glitch is this? If you are hiding together in one of these spots, one of the players will turn into a smoke cloud and be launched into the sky.
How was this hiding glitch discovered? The player Bigdog-475 posted a video on Reddit showing what can happen when you try to hide together.
In the video, you see the Redditor Bigdog-475 and his teammate. He hid in a dumpster and jumped back out. Then his teammate hid in it.
Bigdog-475 also tried to jump into the container but was suddenly turned into a smoke cloud and catapulted into the sky. He flew high for a while and then fell back down. When he landed on the ground, he took fall damage and went down.

In the USA, there was a fatality related to Pokémon GO on Friday night. A 21-year-old was playing Pokémon GO in a park at night with a friend. She witnessed an armed robbery and was shot while trying to flee.
This is what the police say: A spokesperson for the Albuquerque police says that 21-year-old Cayla Campos was playing Pokémon GO with her friend in a park. It was 11:50 PM at night.
The two were sitting in their car, watching as two people robbed someone in another car at gunpoint. Cayla turned her car around to flee the area when several shots were fired at her vehicle.
One of the bullets hit the 21-year-old. She crashed her car into a house across from the park. Cayla died in the hospital. It was reported on Saturday morning that a bullet had struck her in the neck. (via abqjournal)
21-Year-Old Wanted to Become a Surgeon
The family of the woman says she had a bright future ahead of her. Cayla had taken a gap year but planned to study surgery at the University of New Mexico soon.
Neighbors say they woke up at 11:50 PM because they heard several shots and then seconds later the crash. At first, they thought it was thunder, but then they heard the sirens from the police and emergency vehicles.
That’s Why I’m Armed When I Play Pokémon GO
How do Pokémon GO players react? In Albuquerque, as in many places, there are groups of trainers who communicate on Facebook (via facebook). Here, people are shocked:
They say: “I often go to this park.”
Trainers say it’s so sad that it makes you sick.
One even says that’s why he is always armed when he goes out to play Pokémon GO.
This is the background: Pokémon GO is played in the “real world.” This repeatedly leads to confrontations with this real world.
In the USA, it seems to be a big problem to play Pokémon GO in parks at night. Fortunately, we do not know such dangers in our country in these dimensions.
The city of “Albuquerque” is located in New Mexico. It is known here due to the series Breaking Bad. In 2018, there were 66 murders in the city – with a population of 560,218. (via abqournal)
Destiny 2 is a really big game. Find out in this article what tips the most experienced players want to give to new Guardians.
This article is based on the combined knowledge of our community here at MeinMMO. Our readers have gathered a wealth of valuable hints for you, young Guardians, resulting from years of Destiny experience
We have sorted the plethora of tips into different categories. This way, you can benefit from the immense knowledge of the veteran Destiny players and become a showcase Guardian.
Finding the right gear
Which weapon suits me? There are a large amount of firearms in Destiny 2. They are also divided into three slots, different ammunition types, and elements. Give the different weapons all a chance and see for yourself whether the slow revolver or the fast-firing auto rifle fits your playstyle.
Test your weapons, your rolls. Don’t let anyone tell you “You have to play with this”, find the right weapon type for you.
Takumidoragon
This is how weapons differ: All weapons are divided into different fire rate and penetration power types. The values of a weapon determine how it behaves and feels. Thus, even an identical weapon can differ from its namesake. For example, due to higher stability, Variant A can be significantly more precise than Variant B – which comes with more handling and is therefore more grippy.
Feel free to use weapons that you initially didn’t like again. Experiment with all your options and familiarize yourself with the quirks of the completely different weapons.
These are the Perks: Once you’ve developed a feel for the firearms in Destiny, you can start to look more closely at the perks and additional properties of the weapons. On sites like Light.gg you’ll find all possible perk combinations.
Familiarize yourself with the “God Rolls” of weapons and which perks exist and which you want to use […] and put them in the vault. You never know if you want to play with the weapon later.
A “God Roll” refers to the optimal distribution of a weapon’s random perks and stats. The hunt for the best variants of a weapon is a significant motivation for many Guardians.
Reward from Lord Shaxx (Source: @saboe627 on Twitter)
This is how you quickly get exotic gear: In addition to regular weapons and armor, there are also so-called Exotics. These are the rarest gear in Destiny 2. The weapons have fixed rolls – so they are always the same – and have special properties that can be found nowhere else in the game.
Collect beautiful legendary shards and visit Xur every week… Especially as a beginner, he could sell you useful Exotics.
The postmaster located in the Tower collects your excess loot. Everything overlooked from materials to equipment to quest items lands with the diligent robot.
The Postmaster: Diligently collects what you lose
Public Events
What are public events? In the patrol zones of the planets, public events can randomly start. In these activities, all players in the vicinity can participate. Public events can also be completed on “heroic” difficulty in addition to the normal difficulty.
Familiarize yourself with events and know how they are triggered to Heroic. This will be beneficial for you and the community.
This statement reflects the opinion of many readers and has often been made in similar form – so don’t disappoint your fellow players.
To make an event heroic, certain tasks must be completed during the process. As a reward, there’s more experience and loot. Read in the link below how you show your teammates that you know about public events.
This is the PvP of Destiny: Besides fighting together against the Darkness and the various enemies of the Guardians (PvE), you can also compete with other Guardians in the Crucible. In the PvP activities overseen by the NPC Lord Shaxx, you face human players instead of AI-controlled opponents.
The most important PvP tip for new Guardians is to always stay on the ball.
Oh, I think you get into the PvP quite quickly. […] At first, it was really not fun. But after one or two evenings, it was going much better.
What is played? In the Crucible, there are different modes and playlists that have different rules and mechanics. To start, you should, for example, play “Control” and familiarize yourself with the maps and conditions.
Always capture the zones and don’t just try to get kills.
In the Control mode, the goal is to capture as many of the three zones as possible. The entire team benefits from captured zones. If you control 2 zones, you receive double points per kill. If you manage to hold all three zones simultaneously, you even get triple points.
Many Guardians are frustrated with teammates who do not pay attention to the tactical components and just charge in wildly.
If you play PvP, then don’t play competitively! Go for quick play.
Quick Play is particularly suitable if you want to learn about Destiny’s PvP. Once you’ve gained enough experience, you can try your luck in the so-called Comp.
What is Gambit? Gambit is staged by the shady Drifter. The mode is a mix of PvE and PvP elements. Two teams of four compete simultaneously but separately against waves of enemies.
The goal is to collect particles dropped by defeated enemies and store them in a bank. Once enough particles are collected, the boss appears. Several times during the round, players can invade the other team, disrupting or stealing particles.
Here’s how you play Gambit correctly: To finish a round in Gambit, you need to summon and defeat the powerful boss, the Primeval. In Gambit Prime, this boss spawns when your team has a total of 100 particles in the bank. The Drifter will inform you if the team has collected enough particles to summon the boss.
The bank needs to be filled with particles
If only 3 particles are missing for the 100, don’t fill up the 15 before you hand them in… In the best case, you’ll end up short and everyone has to go again.
Nothing is more annoying in Gambit than teammates who prefer to collect particles further instead of turning them in on time, slowing down the whole team.
First the Witches!! Only then the Primeval! First the Witches! It can’t be that hard.
Once you’ve filled the bank and summoned the Primeval boss, he will be accompanied by his envoys. These witches should ideally be taken out very quickly, as the boss becomes significantly easier to fight afterward. In Gambit Prime, the Primeval is even invulnerable as long as the three envoy witches are on the field.
The Drifter
Playing Together
This is how Destiny is more fun: Almost all activities in Destiny 2 are designed so that you can embark on them together with a fireteam. In most activities, you can team up with up to two other Guardians. Some activities, like the notorious Raids, can even be taken on with up to six players.
Don’t play alone / Be brave. Destiny only unfolds through co-op and is ten times more fun when played with friends.
Large parts of the PvP or the Vanguard Strikes have an integrated player search feature that connects you with similar-minded Guardians automatically. Other modes, like the more challenging Nightfalls and Nightmare hunts, require you to find your own teammates.
Garden of Salvation – This is how picturesque the new Raid looks
Alternatively, you can bolster your fireteam on our Destiny Facebook page or with the official Destiny Companion App.
The community is great and nice; it’s easy to find friends.

At the LoL Worlds 2019, all 3 US teams were eliminated in the group stage. Despite star players like Doublelift and great successes this year, even Team Liquid could not make it through. Korea, China, and Europe are playing the rest of the World Championship all by themselves at the League of Legends. Fans of the US teams are pulling their hair out.
This was played: Over the weekend, the last games of the group stage in the LoL Worlds took place:
There were 4 groups with 4 teams each.
They played home and away matches against each other.
After the 6 matches, the 2 weakest teams in a group were eliminated from the World Championship.
The first round in each group lasted 3 days – the second round was handled in one day each. The teams had 3 matches in a row – it was quite intense.

Thus, Cloud 9 calculated they had a chance to win against Griffin and knock them out of the World Championship. After all, Cloud 9 is considered a “tournament team,” which often performs better than expected.
This was not good for Cloud 9.
However, in the direct matchup against Griffin, Cloud 9 suffered two losses – that was it for them. They also failed to secure a victory against G2 Esports.
With a 2-4 record, the World Championship ended early for Cloud 9.
In hindsight, there was criticism for leaving star player Dennis “Svenskeren” Johnsen on the bench and bringing in the substitute jungler Blaber. He had impressed in scrimmages.

A Level 1 fight from Fnatic against Clutch Gaming … it was a strange game.
Clutch Gaming – no chance in the death group
This is how Clutch Gaming was eliminated: Clutch Gaming fought their way into the death group C through the play-ins. There they were alongside Fnatic, SKT1, and Royal Never Give Up – three of the strongest teams in the world.
They never really stood a chance. Clutch Gaming was eliminated with a 0-6 record.
Number 1 in the USA weaker than Number 3 from Korea
This is how Team Liquid was eliminated: The best team in the USA with star player Doublelift and many strong players had to fight through Group D.
Here they faced DAMWON Gaming, the third from Korea, and Invictus Gaming, the 2018 World Champion from China.
This was considered doable, since:
DAMWON Gaming lacked international experience
Invictus Gaming did not seem to be playing overwhelmingly in the season
Could not lead his team to victory: Doublelift.
The first round went well for Team Liquid. After victories against DAMWON Gaming and the underdog ahq e-Sports Club, they were at 2:1. During this, the ADC Doublelift had a nice quadrakill.

However, in the second round, they lost against DAMWON Gaming, and also lost the crucial game against Invictus Gaming. With a 3-3 record, it was not enough for qualification and there was a bitter exit.
In the end, fans blamed Danish player Nicolaj “Jensen” Jensen. He allegedly threw the game carelessly in the early stages. (via reddit)
Every year… so much bad luck
But Doublelift stood up for his teammates. He said the team had still been drinking the night before and then gave a video message on Twitter.
He stated that Jensen and Impact were being wrongfully blamed and made scapegoats.
Everyone on the team made mistakes. Too many different errors occurred – neither success nor failure was based on individual mistakes or performances.
According to Doublelift, they are a strong team, especially this year, but they just had bad luck: “Every year – such damn bad luck.”

What’s behind it: The irony is that North America is the region where the most “western” LoL fans are watching. Their stars play there, whom they also follow on Twitch. Watching their favorites being outmatched internationally is bitter.
Currently, there is a significant discussion about why the USA is so weak.
The USA has clearly fallen behind in League of Legends. This has been apparent for some time. Doublelift stated a few months ago that the entire North America region is “trash.”
There are only a few good players coming from solo queue to the professional scene; they are dependent on imports.
Strategically, it could be that US teams prefer strong carries, like Doublelift. However, this position is not as decisive in the current LoL meta as it was in earlier times.
The weakness of the USA is particularly evident because Europe is experiencing such a resurgence, presenting two world-class teams in G2 Esports and Fnatic. Especially G2 Esports maintains a quirky style that sometimes looks like trolling but is celebrated by fans as “creative”.
If Korea and Europe are both so strong that they can send all 3 teams through and China demands 2 spots, there’s no place left for the USA in the quarterfinals.
Faker is still in the running with SKT1. They will face Splyce in the quarterfinals.
This is what’s next: 3 teams from Europe, 3 teams from Korea, and 2 teams from China are still in the running. They will compete for the World Championship among themselves.
Currently, the strongest appear to be G2 Esports from Europe and the Koreans SKT1 with Faker. However, they will meet in the semifinals if they win their quarterfinals.

Serge Gnabry showed, as he often did in the past weeks, a strong performance. He scored a goal and provided an assist against FC Augsburg. Whether Gnabry can secure his first Inform card remains to be seen on Wednesday.
This could be the first Inform card of Serge Gnabry
Mats Hummels had a really strong game against Borussia Mönchengladbach. Little got past the defender. It is therefore time for his first TOTW card in FUT 20.
Goncalo Paciencia contributed 2 goals to Frankfurt’s 3-0 victory over Leverkusen. A strong performance! A TOTW card should definitely be possible.
Sebastiaan Bornauw, the center-back from 1. FC Köln, played outstandingly and added a goal to his great performance. An Inform card would certainly be possible.
The release of TOTW 6? The cards of the 6th Team of the Week in FUT 20 will be available in packs starting Wednesday, October 23 at 19:00.
How you can use the predictions now: To quickly earn coins, you can use the TOTW cards. How it works, you can find out here:
The first player in Overwatch has reached a 5-digit level. Is there still fun in the game at level 10,000?
Overwatch, like most games from Blizzard, can be played for a long time. After all, many fans spend not just days or months in the game worlds, but sometimes even years. This is also wonderfully possible in Overwatch, where the streamer Treeboydave has now achieved a milestone that no one had before – level 10,000.
First player with this level: The streamer Treeboydave is now the first Overwatch player worldwide to reach a five-digit account level. So far, he has spent more than 14,000 hours in Overwatch, which in pure playtime corresponds to over 580 days – more than 1 ½ years.

The display image in Overwatch, by the way, no longer changes for Treeboydave. For every 100 levels, there is a new portrait in Overwatch, where stars and colors change and become increasingly impressive. However, in the areas where Treeboydave plays, nothing has changed about the portrait for a long time – simply none have been provided that far.
12 hours of gaming despite a job: Anyone who thinks that Treeboydave fits the stereotype of an unemployed gamer is mistaken. Besides his work as a streamer, which is already extremely demanding for some, he also takes care of cleaning a restaurant.
Lootboxes no longer contain anything new: One of the “disadvantages” for Treeboydave, however, is that lootboxes have drastically lost their excitement. With 10,000 opened lootboxes, he possesses all items from the collection and can only receive duplicates. He can’t do much with the credits, as he quickly finds newly added things in new lootboxes.
Did Blizzard think that a player would ever reach such a high level?
What level have you reached in Overwatch? Could you imagine playing for 12 hours every day?
In Pokémon GO the Halloween event is in full swing, but some players are disturbed by certain spawns. There are simply too few spirits from Generation 5 appearing.
Here is the current situation: The Halloween event brings numerous spirits back to Pokémon GO. Among them, Makabaja, a new Pokémon from Generation 5, is now appearing in the wild.
For some players, the spawns of Makabaja, but also of some other Pokémon, are simply too low. But are they right about this?
Too few spirits from Generation 5 – Is that true?
Why is this a problem? Especially the spawns of Makabaja are poor for many players. After all, it is a completely new Pokémon and fits perfectly with the Halloween event. It’s not understood why it is still rarer than other ghost-type Pokémon.
Moreover, it can also be Shiny, and hunting for the Shiny is difficult when it is simply so rare.
The hunt for Shiny Makabaja is difficult
The only other ghost-type Pokémon from Generation 5 that appears in the event is Lichtel (Golbit is only found in the quest and not in the wild in greater numbers). Here too, the spawns are not really good. Some trainers, however, have understanding here, because the evolution Skelabra is a good Pokémon and thus differs significantly from Makabaja.
MarsNeedsFreedomToo: “For a newly released event Pokémon, the spawn rate seems low, about as rare as Lichtel during the event. Will the Shiny rate for Makabaja at least be increased to justify the low spawn rate?”
kyloles: “Niantic says: It’s a new Pokémon, so it must be rare.”
the_kevlar_kid: “I went hunting for 3 hours straight yesterday and […] I caught a Lichtel and 0 Makabaja. I’ve been waiting all year for the Halloween event and I’m already disappointed this year. They gave all the right bonuses, but somehow the fun has been taken out of this week.”
There is also criticism here: Which Pokémon are also missed are the costumed starters. Except for Pikachu, you can only find these Pokémon in raids. However, the 1-star raids of them are quite rare, so you have to look closely for such raids.
Is this criticism justified? You have to take a look at the Halloween event 2018. There, Pokémon like Driftlon or Skunkapuh were introduced. Especially Driftlon was much more common than Makabaja is now. Those who played a lot had good chances for a Shiny.
Of course, it must also be seen that the other ghosts are significantly more frequent. So there are no bad spawns going on. Only the Pokémon from Generation 5 are a bit fewer.
What do you think? Do you find the Halloween spawns good or are there too few Gen-5 ghosts for you?
Since its release in August 2012, Guild Wars 2 has seen many developments. Our colleagues from Gamestar have taken a closer look at the MMORPG and its evolution.
What can you learn from the video? In just under 16 minutes, you’ll learn everything important about Guild Wars 2 and its development over the past years. It starts by discussing the general content of the MMORPG, covering classes, races, and the content at launch.
Subsequently, everything revolves around the expansions of the game. The various seasons of the Living World, as well as the expansions, are highlighted:
The first season of the Living World was only playable for two weeks before the content was removed. This made the game feel alive, but returning players and newcomers missed out on the content.
With Living World Season 2, permanent content and the first new areas were introduced to the game in 2014.
The expansion Heart of Thorns brought the first raids to the game in 2015, leading the community in Guild Wars 2 to more coordination and group play.
The second expansion Path of Fire introduced mounts in 2017.
At the end of the video, the question of where Guild Wars 2 stands today and whether it is worth taking a look at the MMORPG is addressed.

What does GW2 offer to newcomers? Currently, Guild Wars 2 offers you for PvE:
9 different classes
5 playable races
58 story chapters, each with at least 3 missions
8 completely different mounts
7 raids
20 different fractals with 100 difficulty levels
8 dungeons with 4 to 5 paths each
and a huge number of areas in the open world
Additionally, there is Arena PvP with regular seasons and automated 5v5 tournaments, as well as World vs World, where battles take place for towers and fortresses on a large map.
Anyone starting in the MMORPG now has a lot of content to complete in the open world and in instances. Guild Wars 2 is also Buy2Play and only one expansion is needed to access nearly all content of the game.
Where does GW2 struggle? While newcomers can look forward to a huge amount of content, veterans of the game are currently dissatisfied. There are several reasons for this:
The competitive content like PvP or World vs World is currently lacking.
Although regular updates are released for PvE, they are not as substantial as hoped. Moreover, raid instances are released only every 9 months. Hardcore players are not currently being catered to.
In February, there was a wave of layoffs that left some players uncertain about the future.
However, there are also positive signs from the developers toward the community. For instance, Guild Wars 2 wants to bring something exciting for players every month, including events and festivals. The new story episodes are also expected to arrive faster than before.
What is currently happening in Guild Wars 2? In September, the latest story episode “Bound by Blood” was released, which introduces the new season of the Living World. A larger balance patch was also released in early October.
Many players suspect the release of the next story chapter in November, followed by the return of the Wintersday event in December.
Guild Wars 2 – The perfect second MMO
Why is GW2 the perfect second MMO? Guild Wars 2 has no monthly fees. Once purchased, you can revisit anytime. There is also no item treadmill, so old gear never goes out of style, saving you unnecessary grind.
Additionally, it is worth logging in regularly. Every 2 to 3 months, a new story episode is released. If you log in before the next chapter’s release, you unlock it for free and can play it anytime.
So, if you’re looking for something to do during a content drought in your own game, you should give GW2 a chance. Alternatively, Guild Wars 2 can of course also be played as a main MMO.

The developer studio Daybreak has talked about Planetside 3 in a blog post. The online shooter is supposed to be bigger than part 2. The developer studio has just recently laid off a number of employees.
What has Daybreak announced? It was not explicitly stated that work is already being done on Planetside 3. The team only explained that they have a vision for the game. So there are plans to develop Planetside 3, but Daybreak does not say whether the online shooter is really already in the works. However, there have been rumors before that the online shooter is coming.
A gigantic project
What kind of game is Planetside 3 supposed to be? Daybreak’s vision is to develop an even bigger game than Planetside 2. The developers would like to try new things. Planetside 3 is supposed to detach from the planet Auraxis and carry the war into a vast galaxy. Empires will then clash.
You are supposed to colonize planets and fight over these colonies. Whether this includes space battles is still unclear. However, exploring the galaxy also plays a role.
Why does this sound so ambitious? The idea of Planetside 3 sounds very interesting. But Daybreak is apparently currently in crisis. Recently, employees had to be laid off again and it raises the question of how such a gigantic project is supposed to be implemented when the studio has fewer and fewer employees.
Why not just expand Planetside 2? Daybreak explains that the visions of Planetside 2 and 3 differ significantly. Part 2 has a well-functioning concept that the fans like. Changing this so significantly to align with the new vision would completely overhaul the game. However, fundamentally, no one wants that.
An interesting situation
How does Planetside Arena play into this? Daybreak believes that the battle royale shooter Planetside Arena is a kind of stepping stone for Planetside 3. The game is supposed to connect parts 2 and 3 in terms of story as well.
There are even plans to equip Planetside Arena with a new game mode that differs from Battle Royale.
How far along is Planetside 3? The team has not commented on this. It is only said that work continues on part 2 and Planetside Arena, while they push the future of the brand forward. It is unclear whether Planetside 3 is still in the conceptual phase or if work is already really underway.

What does the community think about this? Part of the community finds the situation curious: Employees are being laid off again, and now a huge new game is supposed to be created that is even bigger than Planetside 2?
TheProScout says on Reddit: “A Planetside 3 without the developers of PS2, because they were fired…”
But there are also players who are already looking forward to it and making suggestions:
[KOTV]Errol writes: “It should stay as close to PS2 as possible but offer a modified hex and resource system. A single world where all players fight against each other in two or three factions.”
Destiny 2 has introduced a new power level cap with Shadowkeep and changed the way there. However, it seems that this peak level cannot be reached normally at the moment. You definitely need the help of the seasonal artifact. And if nothing changes, you could end up below the cap at the end of Season 8.
What does leveling look like now? At the start of Season 8 and the Shadowkeep expansion, there were some changes to the leveling system in Destiny 2.
Initially, all players were set to power level 750 on October 1 to ensure everyone starts at the same level.
The soft cap is now at power level 900. This means that items found from 750 to 900 provide a power upgrade and help you on the way up.
From 900 to the hard cap of 950, only Powerful rewards will take you further, the sources of which are limited weekly.
To get from 950 to the peak cap of 960, you depend on so-called pinnacle gear. This gear is even rarer than the powerful items and is only available through very few specific activities.
Additionally, there is the seasonal artifact. This also allows you to level up to the peak cap of 960 and even beyond. However, the additional levels gained through the artifact are only available seasonally (reset at the end of a season) and do not count in the calculation for the power level of your loot.
So if you want to reach and maintain the peak cap regularly at the end of the season, it can only be done through pinnacle gear.
How can you actually reach the new peak cap of 960? Without the help of the seasonal artifact, you rely on pinnacle gear. Only this grants you power upgrades beyond 950.
This gear is currently only available from the following sources:
What is the problem here? The path from 950 to 960 is initially very tedious without the help of the artifact and heavily dependent on luck.
To normally reach a power level beyond 950, you need to have an item with power level 950 for each of the 8 gear slots (3x weapon, 5x armor). You do not need to have it equipped, but at least own it.
Then you need to play activities that drop pinnacle gear as rewards. This gear will drop at a power level above your current level, starting at 951. And only when you have gear with power level 951 for all 8 slots will pinnacle gear with power level 952 start to drop for you.
Moreover, it currently seems that it is not possible to regularly reach 960 during Season 8. The tedious leveling will then continue item by item up to power level 960. Theoretically, you need a total of 80 perfectly matching drops to get a character from 950 to 960.
However, with the sources currently available (5x weekly and a total of 12 from the Iron Banner), you will only reach 62 pinnacle items in a 10-week season (estimated duration of Season 8). Additionally, you need to level up to 950 from the start, which also takes time. Once you reach 950 – I emphasize, normally, i.e., without the artifact – you have only about 7 weeks left and 8 Iron Banner pinnacle drops, which corresponds to 43 pinnacle items.
Furthermore, not every drop will bring the desired missing item, and you can also expect duplicates.
What does this mean for the players? Specifically, this means that if no further pinnacle rewards are added during the season, it will currently not be possible to regularly reach a power level of 960. Even if the artifact may take you far beyond, you will likely end Season 8 below 960 after the reset of the seasonal levels.
However, it is conceivable that Bungie may introduce further sources for pinnacle gear during the season, for example with the new dungeon or raid challenges, to close this gap. Currently, however, there is no official information on this.
How far are you with your regular power level? And how much is the artifact boosting you now?
Just before BlizzCon, leaks and information about upcoming games are pouring in. Overwatch 2 has now received some promising leaks.
Every year, just before BlizzCon, it’s time for speculation, fake leaks, and also some true leaks that leak out before the fair. Besides all the speculation surrounding the next Overwatch game, there is also a leak source that is particularly interesting.
That’s the streamer Metro, who has released some details on Twitter that supposedly come from the project “Overwatch 2”.
Why is Metro credible? Metro has a bit more credibility than other supposed leaks, as he proved his sources last year. He correctly predicted Ashe and the McCree cinematic last year.
Metro knew about Ashe before many others.
What does the leak say? Metro has shared several pieces of information on Twitter in recent days, which he claims to have from a source. Here are the most important pieces of information. Overwatch 2 will:
Be introduced with a short cinematic where many heroes are seen, including Mei, Tracer, Winston, and a younger Genji. Mei will likely be injured and rescued by Genji.
Include PvE and PvP.
Have a story mode.
Feature a leveling system that affects how you can play your hero. However, he didn’t know if this only pertains to PvE or also to PvP.
As an example, he mentioned a modification of Tracer’s Pulse Bomb: When she hits an enemy with it, all nearby enemies will also be affected by a Pulse Bomb.
The game will be a standalone title and not an expansion for Overwatch.

What else does Metro speculate: Besides that, Metro is also speculating a bit and thinks that skins earned in Overwatch might be transferable to Overwatch 2. But that is purely his speculation. Additionally, Metro believes that Overwatch 2 will take place historically in the past, during the height of Overwatch. This would also fit the cinematic.
Genji is expected to play an important role in the cinematic.
No new hero at BlizzCon: Something disappointing for fans might be that BlizzCon, according to Metro, will not present a new Overwatch hero. Apparently, all resources are currently being focused on Overwatch 2, so no new heroes will be released for the time being.

Ultimately, everyone must decide for themselves whether to believe this information. Metro has at least proven in the past that his sources were reliable.
Would you be happy about an “Overwatch 2”? In what form should it take place?
Today (October 21) we will have a live stream of FIFA 20. Our Leya from MeinMMO faces off against Maurice Weber from GameStar – both have no idea about the game.
What have I gotten myself into? It was late at the office and we were brainstorming ideas for our streaming channel. Suddenly, there it was, this idea called “Not My Thing.” Here, games are played that the players don’t really know much about.
For me, this game is FIFA 20. Even in real life, ball sports are not my thing, as my hand-eye coordination could be compared to that of a sack of potatoes. My knowledge of football rules is also quite limited.
Watch the stream here from 5 PM
What will happen in the stream? Since it’s more fun to embarrass ourselves together, Maurice Weber from GameStar has agreed to take on this experiment with me. The main goal is to have fun with something that is unfamiliar to us.
Maurice is especially comfortable when he’s strategizing in real-time strategy games or getting lost in a fantasy RPG. We will compete against each other in FIFA 20. Here is a very sincere symbolic image of what will happen in the stream.
Leya naturally plans to beat Maurice in FIFA.
When is the stream? Today (Monday), October 21.
What time is the stream? The stream runs from 5 PM to 7 PM.
Where can the stream be watched? On our streaming channel Monsters and Explosions (MAX). Below is the streamed embedded:

Whether you have no idea yourselves and guess with us how the game works. Or you might be a FIFA pro and can tell us which teams we should pick or how best to kick. We would be happy if you don’t leave us alone with it.
Until then, you can get informed here about what’s happening in FIFA 20:
The Twitch streamer behind the channel “DansGaming” says he has succeeded in reaching the top on Twitch. But this came at a high price. He cut off all social contacts. His whole life was organized around streaming.
This is what the streamer says: In a Twitch clip, the streamer says he feels lonely and sad. He has lost all social connections to people.
You have to sacrifice a lot if you want to be a streamer. Because you are always on air – day in, day out, all the time.
If you haven’t found a partner before you became a professional streamer, it’s hard to meet someone. You never go out – never go out with friends.

Everything focuses on streaming. Just “Stream, Stream, Stream – Grind, Grind, Grind”, if you want to get ahead. Now he is at the top, but has lost everything along the way.
Conveyor Belt Work on Twitch
What kind of channel is this? The channel “DansGaming” is ranked 133rd on Twitch by followers with about 800,000 people.
It’s a “Variety Gaming” channel. The streamer plays all sorts of things. In the last six months, especially Skyrim, They are Billions, World of Warcraft, Fire Emblem, Days Gone, or Borderlands 3.
Unlike many currently popular streamers who exploded with Fortnite, Dans Gaming has been doing this for a long time.
The tracking site Sullygnome shows that he has been streaming full-time for at least 4 years.

In the meantime, Dan’sGaming had phases where he was on air for 500 hours a month, then again phases where it was “only” 183 hours – but the average is huge.
And that’s just the time “live on air” – for a professional streamer, additional time is needed for:
Accounting and taxes
Negotiations with partners
Fan management
During Dan’s Gaming streams, an average of about 10,000 people watch him over the last six months.
MontanaBlack is extremely successful on Twitch and is usually only on air for between 60 and 90 hours a month.
Insane Time Investment for Streamers Who Have to “Grind”
This is what’s behind it: The Twitch system seduces streamers to self-exploitation. Because it knows no limits.
Those who are very successful have to stream comparatively little because they earn a high hourly wage. Thus, the German streamer, MontanaBlack, is only seen for about 60 to 90 hours a month. He is therefore online 3-4 times less than Dan’s Gaming. But he also has on average 4 times more viewers.
Currently one of the most successful streamers Tfue: Also took a long break in September.
Those with comparatively few viewers have to work and stream many hours to finance their livelihood with Twitch. The everyday “streaming as work” is described as grinding, a treadmill.
Additionally, there is the “It can always be more” effect: Streamers believe they can only grow their channel by working as much as possible and always being on air, otherwise they lose their edge. Viewers forget the channel and turn to competitors in their free time.

After the ban, MontanaBlack can go out on Friday nights.
The “Twitch” system, which leaves streamers completely free, apparently has some downsides. Dan’sGaming’s example shows what people should consider if they plan to go full-time on Twitch themselves.
One week ago, an event about the black hole took place in Fortnite. This caused huge viewer numbers on YouTube and Twitch. However, Fortnite’s long-time top streamer, Tyler “Ninja” Blevins, was not streaming on Mixer at all. What was going on?
Why did Twitch explode? Last Sunday, on October 13, an event took place in Fortnite. It had been announced for a long time and a countdown was ticking down.
No one knew at the time: The event turned out to be much bigger than expected and made headlines worldwide.
Epic pulled off a special PR coup: The event made the previous world of Fortnite implode and get sucked into a black hole.
For almost a day and a half, no one could play Fortnite.
But this time, everything was silent. Ninja did not stream the event on Mixer.
Ninja explained to his fans that he preferred to fly with his in-laws and his wife’s brother to a football game. He had access to the field. A private jet flew them there.

That seemed more important to him at the moment. The game took place on Monday evening, and Sunday was a travel day for Ninja. Ninja was born in Detroit and is therefore clearly a fan of the Detroit Lions, while his wife’s family apparently supports Green Bay.
In the end, Ninja was terribly upset about the football game. Because the Green Bay Packers won 23:22.
Ninja accused the referees of having favored his opponent. In protest, Ninja announced that he would never attend a game again.

What’s behind it: The interesting thing here is that Ninja would probably never have missed a Fortnite event during his Twitch days because he was extremely trapped in the “grind” of Twitch, fighting for every viewer and every subscription.
A “live event” in Fortnite was always the highlight of a season and guaranteed attention.
The Twitch Ninja of 2017 and 2018 was dependent on the viewers’ favor and believed he had to be on air every free minute to avoid losing viewers and thus missing out on money.
Because while others criticize Ninja’s switch, Cuban says: The big streamers have no life on Twitch. Ninja made the right decision to switch. One has to consider that Ninja now has to stream much less on Mixer.
