In Fortnite you should find the hidden N from the loading screen of the “Hard Facts” challenges. We show you the location on the map.
What is being searched? For a few weeks now, Fortnite has been hiding letters instead of secret stars in loading screens. Players unlock the loading screens, see a letter with a hint, and then collect it at the location.
This week, the challenges are themed around Hard Facts. The “N” is hidden on the map of Fortnite. In this guide, we want to show you where to look.
In the upper left corner of the image, you can see the letter “N”. This is the one being searched for.
Where should you look? In the image, you can see an E.G.O. outpost. It is clear that the search location is a hangar. Now it is clear where the journey leads: to grid B5.
You travel to the southwest of Holly Hedges and enter the hangar there. Once inside the hangar, walk to the back end and go up the stairs. The “N” should then appear in front of you, as shown in the image above.
After collecting the letter, you can finish the match and turn to other tasks or challenges.
The new harpoon weapon is very well received by players and streamers. Fortnite star Tfue gives the new weapon 10 out of 10 points. What does he like about it?
Red Dead Redemption 2 is known for its attention to detail. Right now, Arthur’s pupils are a big topic among players.
What is special about the eyes? On Reddit, a user shared a comparison of Arthur Morgan’s eyes. He is the protagonist of Red Dead Redemption 2, with whom you play in the story. Specifically, the comparison looks at the pupils at different times of the day.
In the evening, they are widely open, during the day rather smaller.
The pupil comparison reached nearly 27,000 upvotes on Reddit in just one day. Many players are celebrating what Rockstar shows in their game. We embed the image from the Reddit post here:

Such graphic details have caught players’ attention before and can also be seen on consoles. Now, with the PC release, many new players are discovering RDR 2 and realizing just how detailed the graphics in the game are.
What players praise about the details in Red Dead Redemption 2
The feedback on the image: Players are reacting to these details with much praise and creative jokes. The top comment in the thread about this image simply reads: “These damn details in this game, man.”
More praise from the Reddit thread:
“Details like this impress me more than a good story in the game”
“No one does it better than Rockstar … the attention to detail is impressive”
“Oh wow, good catch! His chin and nose scars are also noticeable”
“Damn, Arthur really has beautiful eyes”
“I never noticed before how beautiful Arthur’s eyes are”
“We’re going to notice so many details now that the game has been released on PC. Rockstar doesn’t do things halfway”
Others humorously note that the first image is probably the result of excessive enjoyment of cactus tea. One user jokes: “What? Did you think they animate the horse testicles and then stop?”
Many exciting things happen around you throughout the story. Even the NPCs have their own lives. What the non-playable characters are up to while you’re away has been observed by a player:
Cortyn is really blown away by the new “Battlegrounds” mode in Hearthstone . It’s actually a lot more fun than it first seemed.
I actually thought I was done with Hearthstone for a while. I only really enjoy the big solo adventures now, because the “real game” just doesn’t interest me anymore. Especially since they coldly patched my succubus out of the game, I’ve held a certain grudge against Hearthstone. Apart from a few rounds against friends with fun decks, I currently have no interest in the card game.
I was pleasantly surprised: when the developers presented the “Battlegrounds” mode at BlizzCon, I was extremely skeptical. Not just skeptical, actually directly dismissive. In previews, the mode looked super boring and seemed to me like an extremely watered-down and more boring version of DOTA Underlords – just without the cool synergies and effects that such auto-chess games bring.
With the corresponding expectations, I approached the mode with the motto: “At least play one round to convince myself that it’s trash.”
And now I sit here, nearly 2 days later, having spent about 5 or 6 hours in this mode.
More strategy than it seems at first glance
Although the basic setting is based on Hearthstone, I was quite surprised by how smoothly the matches with 8 players run. There are a variety of combinations, and unlike DOTA Underlords, it is not only important what you play, but also the order in which you do it.
It often happens that you play a minion with a buffing Battlecry and use it on another minion, only to sell it right after and summon a third minion that creates a better synergy.
This ensures that over several rounds, quite absurd numbers develop. I’ve seen minions with over 150 health and had to grin – because for the players, their strategy clearly paid off. At least until they ran into my poison Murloc, who didn’t care about health points.
RNG? Of course, or it wouldn’t be Hearthstone
To address the topic directly: of course, Battlegrounds also has a considerable amount of RNG, or random mechanics. My minions attack in a fixed order from left to right, but their targets are chosen at random. Also, the minions offered in the shop each round depend on chance. Those who are unlucky may not find the necessary minions even after several rounds and have to abandon their strategy and attempt to create something else out of necessity.
But you know what? It’s the same with the other auto-chess games. Maybe the level of RNG in Hearthstone is slightly higher, but I didn’t find it annoying. As so often, the art is to master the RNG to achieve victory.
The “random attacking” aspect disappears as soon as a minion has Taunt – it then always becomes the first target.

In addition, there are hero abilities with which you can counter some random mechanics or add new ones. Some heroes can buff their minions each round, while others can simply eliminate opponent minions before the match.
Conclusion – Better than expected. Much better.
To sum it up quickly: Hearthstone Battlegrounds is fun. And actually a lot more fun than I initially thought. The short rounds of 10-20 minutes make the mode an interesting alternative to the other auto-chess games, where matches can often last up to an hour.
There’s just one thing I’m still missing, and that’s the ability to sign up with friends together. If that wish is also fulfilled, then Battlegrounds will ensure that I start Hearthstone much more often again… even though I didn’t actually want to anymore.
The players of Overwatch have been frustrated in recent months, and that frustration spilled over to the developers. The reason was the work on Overwatch 2.
At BlizzCon, “Overwatch 2” was presented last weekend. This sequel is supposed to bring many PvE missions, new heroes, and lots of new maps. However, the development of the game also caused the developers to feel unwell and face much frustration from the community.
What happened? For just over a year, there has been a bad mood among Overwatch players. The updates for the game have become rarer, and there have hardly been any innovations. The usually popular seasonal events (like Halloween, Summer Games, or the birthday) mostly received just a handful of new skins and perhaps a few other cosmetic items. Many players thought that the developers had become lazy or had no more ideas.
Developers were also somewhat frustrated: In an interview with Kotaku , Jeff Kaplan (Game Director of Overwatch) revealed that the shared work on both games also led to dissatisfaction among the developers. Kaplan explained:
I’m sitting right next to one of the designers of Junkenstein’s Revenge – this brilliant guy named Mike Heiberg – and he says, “I have all these ideas for what I want to do for Halloween this year.” I have to say, “I understand, Mike, but we’re focused on this other thing right now.” That’s been hard for us.
This, along with the increasingly loud voices of fans, had raised dissatisfaction and pressure on the developers. But that’s exactly why people are now happy, as there can finally be an open discussion about Overwatch 2 and the work of the developers.
We can now have this open dialogue with the community and say, “This is what we’re currently working on and why we’re doing it.”
There will come a time when the clients [of Overwatch] merge. We believe that is important, especially for the competitive experience. The whole idea behind it is that we don’t want to split the players or give anyone a competitive advantage.
If we’re playing in the same pool, then no player better have a better frame rate just because they are playing a different version of the game.
There should still be new updates for Overwatch 1, at least a few minor ones. However, whether that will keep the fans engaged until “Overwatch 2” remains to be seen.
What do you think? Understandable and reasonable? Or annoying as a player of Overwatch 1?
Guardians in Destiny 2 were looking forward to finally breaking the curse of the Dreaming City – but nothing came of it. Apparently, all the efforts and struggles fell victim to a great lie.
What is the deal with breaking the curse? For a long time, Guardians have been puzzling over how to solve what is probably the biggest mystery of Destiny 2 – namely breaking the curse in the Dreaming City. But until now, there has been no solution.
However, things have started to move quite a bit in the last few days. The most common (fan) theory was suddenly on the verge of finally being tested. To do this, one must achieve a power level of 999 and defeat the final boss Dul Incaru in the Shattered Throne dungeon solo.
Requirements met – but what happened then? After that, many fans, Guardians, and community members waited eagerly to see what would happen next. But they waited in vain – as nothing happened at all. Neither was the curse broken, nor was the 15th wish fulfilled – nothing really changed.
This quickly became a running gag in the community and served as the basis for numerous memes, as the following tweets illustrate. Because all the effort and the hard grind were apparently for nothing.
What is the lie about? After that, the big guessing game began. Did Guardian Bagel4k do something wrong, overlook some mechanics? Did they perhaps miss something or possibly misinterpret parts of the lore?
But it seems that nothing will happen anymore – and it shouldn’t. The Guardians seem to have simply fallen for a great lie. Because this theory is mainly based on the lore entry “act/choose/react,” which came into the game with the Forsaken expansion. And that, in turn, comes from the book “From Truth to Power”.
But one should not trust this book. The esteemed lore king MyNameIsByf already warned about this. The content mainly stems from Savathûn, the Witch Queen. She is essentially regarded as the mistress of lies, and even in the lore book itself, it becomes clear at the end that the book is full of untruths.
And what does Bungie say? Bungie has essentially confirmed this. Initially, there was, for example, the following retweet from Creative Lead Lars Bakken:
This already makes it quite clear that the Guardians have fallen for a lie.
Additionally, Bungie has dedicated a mysterious blog post to this topic. There, they essentially congratulate Bagel4k and pay tribute to his great but ultimately probably pointless achievement.
Because it is stated there that Savathûn set a trap for the Guardians, and they fell for it. It remains to be broken the curse, the lore entries have not been clear enough.
In doing so, Bungie keeps the rumor mill churning with some mysterious statements from Savathûn and keeps the hopes of some Guardians alive. It is said, among other things:
“I am Savathûn, hungry! I set a trap and lured in my prey. Is victory really so easy, hero? I am the finality, the reward – I am the true end. Your strength is my strength. Your victory is my victory. My jaws are wide open and I wait. The wait is long, yet I am unceasing.”
How are the fans reacting? Some have not expected anything to happen from the beginning. They did not trust the lore entry because the book was full of lies. There were also some inconsistencies. For example, the lore speaks of light levels, not power levels, as is currently present in Destiny 2.
Others are now disappointed that all their efforts were in vain and that the theory has essentially evaporated into thin air.
Conversely, others are now drawing new strength and hope from this. Some plan to make further attempts – for example, when the curse is at its strongest in its third week, or when they eventually reach power level 999 without the help of the seasonal artifact. Some want to go for a flawless solo run.
All in all, the hype surrounding the breaking of the curse has taken a hit, but it is by no means over. On the contrary – Bungie’s mysterious remarks only further fuel the excitement of some Guardians. It will be exciting to see what crazy actions the Guardians still have in store to possibly finally break the curse.
What do you think? Will anything in this regard come from Bungie? Or are they now trying to use the hype generated to keep Destiny 2 in the conversation?
The streamer CouRage was successful on Twitch with Fortnite . Now he is leaving the streaming platform and switching to YouTube. He explains that the constant battle for “paying customers”, the subscribers, was too much for him.
Who is speaking? That is Jack “CouRage” Dunlop. He was previously an eSports caster for Call of Duty and known for his humorous style. Since 2018, he earned his living as a full-time streamer on Twitch, primarily active in Fortnite.
Now CouRage has announced that after a year and a half as a full-time streamer, he will now exclusively switch to YouTube.
“As in the gray office” – that's how CouRage felt with daily streams on Twitch.
Bound by the Subscriber Button
This is how CouRage justifies the switch: He says in a video that he felt chained to the “subscriber button” on Twitch. According to CouRage, as a Twitch streamer, you are always dependent on subscribers and have to fight for them. This would consume the opportunities to occasionally do something outside of the streams.
This is a toxic way of thinking: “If I don't go live today, then I lose the number X of subscribers, and that means I lose the number X of money.” Every streamer has that in their head.
The better mindset is: “Now I stream a specific number of hours, and then I do something else for a few hours – and from that, I create really good content.”
Ninja has also left Twitch and stepped out of the “hamster wheel”.
CouRage got a taste of life without Twitch during a trip to Japan.
During his time away, he had prepared videos but could enjoy his time on the trip and had found his peace, without having to be live all the time and fight for subscribers. For the first time in a long time, he felt what it would be like not to be constantly watching the Subscribe button.

What are subscribers? On Twitch, players have the opportunity to give a “paid subscription” to a streamer, thereby financially supporting them.
The money from “subscriptions” is important for streamers. It is about $2.50 per subscription – often more. Successful streamers have around 20,000 subscriptions – that would be at least $50,000 guaranteed every month.
This subscription lasts only 30 days – therefore streamers are afraid of losing a “paying customer” if they do not renew their subscription.
This struggle for “paying customers” seems to define the everyday life of many streamers and create pressure to exploit themselves and always be available.
A pressure from which CouRage is now escaping by switching to YouTube. The exact details of his new “exclusive contract” are not known: But it can be assumed that the contract secures him financially and frees him from the “yoke of Twitch subscribers”.
The message of the day is a popular means for developers to directly and regularly communicate with players. In CoD: Modern Warfare, however, these messages seem hardly connected to the community at all, as they recommend exactly the play styles that annoy many players the most.
What is a “message of the day”? The message of the day is a service that keeps players regularly informed about updates, gameplay tips, or stories. This brief dispatch is a good means to keep members active, whether in clans, on servers, or across entire games.
CoD: Modern Warfare uses the daily messages for small info-blogs about maps, weapons, or gadgets, but has now failed to consider the community’s sentiment with two entries.
Daily messages recommend unpopular play styles
What exactly is being recommended by the developers? It concerns specifically two messages from the last few days. One of them is about the map “Euphrates Bridge,” and the other revolves around claymore mines. Here are the corresponding excerpts from the daily messages.
Euphrates Bridge
Bombed houses, destroyed buses, and the dilapidated bridge provide seemingly endless hiding spots.
Use a Claymore
Is delayed gratification your thing? Then pack a claymore in your equipment slot. These explosive mines are activated upon proximity. Place a claymore near the objectives, close to the enemy spawn zones, or at popular sniper spots.
The developers are recommending exactly the play styles that are currently condemned by some CoD soldiers, thus trolling their community.
What do the CoD soldiers think about this? The reactions found so far are mostly very negative. The players can hardly understand why the developers choose to promote such disliked play styles in such a direct manner.
I find it funny that the developers, despite the backlash, still do nothing about the campers and now they also troll the players with these pop-ups and encourage people to do the things that most are fed up with (like claymores and bridge campers).
Others have somewhat expected this direction and believe that the new maps and multiplayer were designed with this play style in mind from the beginning.
Well, consider that this game was made specifically for beginners and campers. So I’m not surprised.
But there are also voices from the other direction: There are also players who support this style and often convey in rather blunt ways that the whining of other players annoys them.
This is the only right way to respond to all the whining.
Play how you want, but also use well-known advantages
Should I start camping now? This question remains up to each individual. However, style adaptations to the current meta, i.e., the most efficient play style of a multiplayer title, are often part of the repertoire of successful players.
You don’t have to spend the entire round waiting tactically. However, play styles, weapons, or gadgets that personally stand out as uncomfortable are often worth a self-try. But don’t wait too long with that, strong play styles can quickly be nerfed.
With the new map layout, without the three lanes, tactics have also changed, and in some cases, a more cautious approach may be the better choice.
However, if you absolutely don’t want to be convinced by claymores or camping tactics, then hunt down the players who have already set up a campfire in the darkest corner of the map. You can find the best weapons for that here.
What do you think about the daily messages? Were the developers not careful enough?
After the introduction of the Fallout 1st subscription for Fallout 76, reports emerged about a “class struggle” between subscribers and non-subscribers. While this wasn’t a real issue, a guild is now introducing it as a kind of role-playing game.
What was the initial situation? The introduction of the Fallout 1st subscription has led to heavy criticism from the Fallout 76 community. This was somewhat exaggerated in the media, presenting it as if a “class struggle” was breaking out between subscribers and non-subscribers, where those without subscriptions would hunt subscribers in the game.
It wasn’t quite like that. While there were naturally a few disputes, they remained within normal limits. There was no real “class struggle”.
A Satire Guild on the Rise
What came out of it? According to Fallout 76 player VectorZarak, there have been some hostilities from non-subscribers against those who have a Fallout 1st subscription, which introduced private worlds. He took this as an opportunity to jokingly found the guild Apocalyptic Aristocracy, which wanted to explore this theme in-game.
What does the Apocalyptic Aristocracy do? The guild sees itself as a satire about this inflated “class struggle” in Fallout 76. Members wear the finest suits in the game and play as an elite group, considering themselves as something better compared to the non-subscriber rabble and challenging them.
However, this is all not meant seriously. They have taken this exaggerated “class struggle” and transferred it into a satirical in-game role-play.
How successful is the guild? The concept is currently attracting many subscribers. They find the idea amusing. According to VectorZarak, around 100 players signed up within two days. The number of members has since grown to over 330. All of them have a Fallout 1st subscription, showing that this service indeed attracts customers.

Is this all just fun? One might get the impression from the memes and statements of the guild members that it’s not just for fun.
For example, the player Terry Mollinet says: “I joined because as a subscriber I’m better than everyone else!”
Donald Meeks jokingly explains: “We are simply nobler and wealthier than the common rabble! Why should one dirty oneself on a public server when one can hoard legendary items for oneself and sell them for a huge profit to the less fortunate?”
However, members insist that they do not take it seriously. It is part of the role play. Yes, it is somewhat provocative, but it is not meant maliciously. Some join not to play the elite, but to show that they want to support Fallout 76 as subscribers because they enjoy the game.
“We know that Fallout 76 is not perfect, but developers do not work for free. Therefore, we do everything to fund the improvement and expansion of the game,” says Apocalyptic Aristocracy founder VectorZarak.
Currently, the fifth season of the Living World is running in Guild Wars 2. So far, only the prologue has been released. The first episode of the Icebrood Saga has now been officially announced – and it is said to be very dark.
What do we know about the episode? In a livestream for the charity event Extra Life, the name of the first episode of the Icebrood Saga was announced. It is called “Whispers in the Dark”.
According to the developers in the stream, it is supposed to be very dark and inspired by the stories of H. P. Lovecraft. This is immediately evident from the name of the episode, which is reminiscent of the short story “The Whisperer in Darkness“. In it, the protagonist encounters mysterious creatures and dark figures.
There was also a short teaser on Twitter, which hinted at the “Boneskinner” that is supposed to appear in the episode. This is a mysterious creature that already made an appearance in the announcement of the Icebrood Saga and fits perfectly into the dark story.
When will the episode be released? “Whispers in the Dark” is set to be released on Tuesday, November 19, 2019. New episodes typically come out at 6:00 PM.
There will likely be a trailer one week prior that will reveal more about the contents of the episode and show initial images.
The prologue introduced us to a new antagonist
What happened in the prologue to the Icebrood Saga? The prologue, which was released in September 2019, introduced us to the new story and also to a new enemy.
The leader of the Blood Legion, Bangar the Butcher, stole the magically enchanted bow of our Norn friend Braham at a Charr festival.
With this bow, Bangar set out to hunt the Elder Dragon Jormag, whom he wants to enslave. With the help of the Elder Dragon and a large army of Charr, he aims to defeat us and the dragon Aurene, and elevate the Charr to great power. A supporter in this effort is also the son of our Charr friend Rytlock Brimstone.
Bangar, main character in the prologue
What else is happening in the MMORPG? At the end of October, Build Templates were introduced in Guild Wars 2, which have since led to big discussions about the prices.
There has also been a lot of feedback regarding class balancing. New developers are now working on this and are actively engaging in the forum.
This afternoon, something seems to be happening in Pokémon GO again with Team GO Rocket. A mysterious countdown to a YouTube video is currently counting down.
What is this countdown? If you look at the Pokémon GO YouTube channel, you can see there is currently a video premiere upcoming.
It currently only carries the name “#TeamGORocket”. Niantic isn’t providing more information at the moment, but it fits with the events, as the Rocket bosses have already appeared in the first locations.
What could be behind the video? Perhaps the Rocket bosses could finally be coming worldwide now. They have already been teased for weeks and have also been tested in the first cities since the night before last.
Now it might be time for a global release, as the bosses are functioning flawlessly in the test areas.
When will we know more? By 3 PM German time at the latest, as the video will be released on YouTube and the countdown will have ended.
This is the experience with countdowns so far: For the release of Team GO Rocket in July, there was already a big countdown on YouTube. However, there were thousands of disappointed players when only a Rocket hour with more Rebels at the PokéStops was announced.
So one shouldn’t be too disappointed if this video doesn’t bring any major news either.
To battle the bosses, you must first collect mysterious components. These can be obtained from battles with Rocket Rebels. Once you have collected 6 of them, you will receive a Rocket Radar, which allows you to track down the bosses.
Niantic has also announced a new feature for your buddy. Soon you’ll be able to interact with it properly:
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has faced a lot of criticism since its release. However, the biggest issues are set to be addressed by a new update that has been announced.
What has been announced? Communications Manager Ashton Williams announced a new update for Modern Warfare on Twitter. She also listed what will be addressed. The list should please some players, as there was a lot of criticism regarding these aspects recently.
The following things are to be improved:
Claymores: They are criticized because many players find them just too frequently available.
Weapon Tuning: Various weapons are too powerful for the players. Which guns exactly will be adjusted has not been revealed.
Footsteps: There have often been complaints about footsteps being too loud. They might become quieter.
Server Stability: Some players are experiencing server issues with frequent crashes. This is reportedly going to be improved.
What else was announced? Numerous fans then asked Williams if other issues would be addressed. She confirmed that Spec Ops would also receive some bug fixes, after it was criticized recently.
She also commented on the controversial 725 shotgun. She mentioned that if the tests go well, some changes will also be made there. So there is no confirmation yet, but at least the statement that they are working on it.
But loud footsteps are also the focus of criticism. You can never really be stealthy, and you can hear enemies from a distance. Claymores are also criticized because many players find them just too effective and deadly.
The 725 shotgun is one of the biggest points of criticism
When will the update be released? A specific date is not known yet. Williams only stated that it will be released in the coming days. If there is new information about this, you will of course find it here on MeinMMO.
What do you hope for from the update? Which feature should be prioritized?
The Chinese government has issued tough new rules for underage gamers. They came into effect on Tuesday. They limit gaming time for players under 18 and their ability to spend money in games.
Here are the new rules: The rules were announced on Tuesday. They apply to video gamers under 18. Three things are prohibited:
Nighttime gaming – Playing between 10 PM and 8 AM is completely prohibited
Too long gaming – They are allowed to play only 90 minutes on weekdays and 180 minutes on weekends and holidays
Too high spending in cash shops – Their spending on virtual items is limited to $28 to $57, depending on the player’s age
After “Honor of Kings” China is crazy – here it is called “Arena of Valor” and is a kind of Mobile League of Legends.
What does China want to achieve with this? The Chinese government sees three problems that it wants to tackle with the new rules:
This is the Chinese LoL team FunPlus Phoenix. They are in the World Championship finals. This would probably barely be possible under new rules – the training would be lacking.
How are the rules supposed to be implemented? At nikopartners it says that gaming companies must now ensure that these new rules are enforced:
Players must register with their “real name” – it will then be checked against a national database. This leads to restrictions on the account if the player is underage
Game developers must implement an “anti-addiction” system to limit gaming time
In recent months, the climate towards gaming has tightened, as reported by the New York Times . State media compared games to “poison.” Some games have been banned for being too violent.
Xi Jinping, the President of China, has personally stated that children have poor eyesight. This increased pressure on the authorities to take action.
Especially the large Chinese gaming companies like Tencent have suffered under the beginning restrictions in recent years. There was a halt in the approval of video games, which significantly affected Tencent’s stock value.
Tencent has been able to circumvent some of China’s measures in the past and wanted to prevent a stricter state regulation with self-imposed rules (like household chores).
Experts believe that the Chinese industry has prepared for these regulations coming. In addition, similar rules were already in place, but could be relatively easily bypassed.
Companies have been working for some time on technology to determine and verify the age of players.
For the next adventure in World of Warcraft, the developers have taken a close look at the Classic version. They want to design some systems very similarly.
At BlizzCon 2019, the next chapter for all fans of World of Warcraft was revealed. It goes to the Shadowlands, a previously largely unknown area with a lot of fresh story, new features, and mechanics. However, not all ideas are really brand new, as some core concepts come from WoW: Classic – which the developers have looked at very closely.
What was said? In an interview from Kotaku with developer John Hight at BlizzCon, the insights from WoW: Classic were also discussed. Hight stated:
It was very informative to see how well players played together, even in the face of the fact that there are “no rules.”
You could simply cut in line, click the box, and run away. And still, you see those queues forming, because everyone is polite to each other. This social system – I help you if you help me – is so present in Classic and showed us that we don’t need to shove players’ noses into something for them to understand things.
It’s best if they talk to each other and help one another. A little bit of complexity is fine, and a little bit of friction between them is okay as long as we have a good social system that supports this.
What does this mean for Shadowlands? The conclusion from the developers’ observations is that they are trying to incorporate these casual social interactions into Shadowlands. One of the key elements here is a choice for players on whether they want to tackle content together or alone. Because Hight further revealed:
If you have a forced system that brings players together, then players are reluctant to stick together. But if they have a common goal and we create opportunities where they meet each other, then it often ends with a “Oh, so you’re doing this here too? Do you want to do this together?”
One of these examples is Torghast, Tower of the Damned. Here, players can either set off alone to face the challenges of the tower or team up with up to four other players. At least on paper, this is suitable for both solo players who simply want to play alone for a while, as well as for friends who want to do something together.
More incentives from Classic: But Torghast is not the only element where developers have looked to Classic. At BlizzCon, it was also announced that many of the old abilities would return to give classes more personality again.
It seems that Shadowlands will take a lot of good incentives from Classic and further develop them.
Developer Niantic has announced more AR features for Pokémon GO. The buddy feature is set to become more realistic, and you can even interact with friends there.
What is announced? On their blog, Niantic writes about the development of AR features in their games. They state that they want to further develop Pokémon GO, focusing primarily on the buddy feature.
They present the “Buddy Adventure” and explain that you can interact with your buddy and even explore the virtual world together with friends.
Buddy Adventure in Pokémon GO – What is it?
This is how the feature is supposed to work: With Buddy Adventure, you can see your buddy in AR mode and interact with him. However, the exact details of how this will work are not known.
The AR feature is set to be further developed.
Additionally, you should be able to observe your friends’ buddies through the AR camera. So when you’re out together, you can also see how your friend interacts with his buddy.
This is how it should become even more realistic: Niantic wants to introduce occlusion in their mode. This allows your virtual objects to disappear behind, for example, door frames or walls. This makes it look even more realistic.
On their blog, Niantic also released a video that we will show you an image from:
On the left, the character is in the wall, but on the right, it disappears behind it.
When will this feature come out? Nothing is known yet about this. It is only stated that they are working on it and it will be released in the coming months.
What does this mean for Pokémon GO? This function enhances the AR element in Pokémon GO and makes the game more realistic.
One can also imagine that tasks will be set that are related to this feature. After all, already now you need to achieve quests like landing snapshots. Something similar could also be expected with Buddy Adventure.
What else has been announced? There are more good news from Niantic. The Niantic Wayfarer – the system to evaluate PokéStops – will be released worldwide next week. Thus, stops could be evaluated even faster. In Germany, this feature has been available for a few weeks.
Furthermore, it was announced that small and medium-sized enterprises will soon be able to apply for sponsored PokéStops. There, advertising for the company will be made in the game. This feature will start this winter in the USA. When it will come to Germany is unknown.
Things are also quite intense in Pokémon GO right now. The Rocket bosses have been sighted in some cities:
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is well-received by many, but there is also quite a bit of criticism. These 7 specific changes could improve Modern Warfare.
What are these changes? After the first reviews of Modern Warfare were quite positive, over time, bad reviews from the community have accumulated as well. Players criticize:
missing, boring, or faulty content
a story that some fans feel was poorly executed
gameplay issues with some weapons
the multiplayer maps and campers
From the voices of the community and some streamers and YouTubers, we have identified 7 things that could address these points of criticism and improve Modern Warfare 2019.
1. Improved
Weapon Balance
What is the problem? Since its release, many players have complained about overly dominant weapons. Specifically, the shotgun 725 and the assault rifle M4A1 are the focus of criticism. Both weapons are considered too strong at all distances.
The big problem is that they are so powerful that players feel compelled to use them. They see hardly any other option. Usually, both weapons are taken together with the “Overkill” perk.
The M4A1.
Both weapons can even compete with submachine guns and sniper rifles at specific distances. Both also have a very low “Time To Kill” (TTK).
Here’s how it could be resolved: Two points could be addressed to better balance the weapons:
increase spread and recoil to reduce accuracy at distance
reduce damage to increase the TTK
At least the damage is probably appropriate for a shotgun. A middle ground that allows both weapons to be defeated by other weapons at certain distances would be advisable.
2. Claymores
What is the problem? Claymores are primary equipment that can be placed on the ground and function as proximity mines using laser sensors. They should only secure a small area.
However, the issues with claymores in Modern Warfare are that their blast radius is so immense that they can hardly be safely destroyed from behind. Especially in the hardcore versions of the multiplayer modes, they are deadly at long range.
Additionally, they can be glitched into stairs or walls, where they cannot be destroyed and often cannot even be seen. Sometimes, there’s nothing left to do but trigger them or look for detours.
Here’s how it could be resolved: Fans generally wish for a smaller radius in which claymores are deadly. They suggest, for example, that the lethal area should be cone-shaped instead of a radius around the claymore:

Other players suggest that, in the spirit of Modern Warfare’s realism claims, they should take longer to set up. In real life, it takes a few seconds to make a claymore operational, and you cannot just stick it briefly into the concrete ground.
3. Footsteps and Calls
What is the problem? In Modern Warfare, both the sound of soldiers’ boots stomping and their constant calls about seeing enemies can be heard by all players. This leads to players being better localized.
However, the volume of steps is considered too loud by many in Modern Warfare. Players can hardly sneak around and can be easily spotted even at long distances. Additionally, allies’ footsteps are as loud as those of enemies.
The cries of soldiers claiming to have spotted an enemy often reveal their own position rather than contributing to the enemy’s localization. This often leads to players wanting to act covertly, but their character suddenly loudly announces the sighting of an enemy for everyone to hear. This can quickly lead to being discovered and often results in death.
Here’s how it could be resolved: Steps should be aligned with other sound effects so they are not extremely loud or too quiet.
Effects like opening doors and steps should not drown out bomb noises but still remain noticeable, and ally footsteps should be quieter than those of enemies.
Even explosions don’t always drown out footsteps.
The calls of the character should only apply to the player or their team, not to enemies. Here could be an option for players to choose from three options:
Hear your own calls and those of the team
Only hear your own calls
No calls at all
4. Changes to
Maps and Locations
What is the problem? Modern Warfare deviates from the so-called 3-lane system and offers maps that are partially asymmetrically structured and provide many vertical and twisted positions.
The problem is that some maps are so poorly balanced that victories are either guaranteed or impossible. The map “Euphrates Bridge,” for example, almost guarantees victory to any team that can capture point B.
Additionally, the layout of many maps, along with the balance of some weapons and claymores, encourages players to simply camp rather than actively participate in the objectives.
Here’s how it could be resolved: The maps should be redesigned so that certain paths and routes are blocked or become more dangerous, making specific positions too strong. Roadblocks or closed doors could be used for this.
Campers are a problem for many players.
It would also be helpful to make certain positions on the maps more visible from multiple angles so that campers cannot easily fortify themselves.
If the volume of footsteps is also adjusted, covert players could better clear out campers.
5. Killstreaks and
Pointstreaks
What is the problem? In Modern Warfare, players can use special killstreak rewards if they achieve enough kills without dying. Powerful rewards such as tanks and combat aircraft are included.
However, this system also promotes players in objective-oriented multiplayer modes like Domination or Ground War to focus more on getting kills instead of completing objectives.
Here’s how it could be resolved: Instead of killstreaks, rewards should be obtained through pointstreaks. This way, there would be rewards at a certain score without dying, rather than a certain number of kills.
Players would not progress to killstreaks any slower than through kills, but participation in objectives would be encouraged. The perk “Point Friendly” already solves this, although it takes up an extra slot. This should just become standard.
6. SpecOps and
Coop Modes
What is the problem? SpecOps is the coop mode of Modern Warfare, where players team up with other human players against AI opponents.
Here’s how it could be resolved: The solution should focus purely on the technical side. Bugs need to be fixed and the behavior of AI improved.
Additional missions could also provide players with real incentives to play more coop. Specific rewards would be desirable as well.
7. Story and
Campaign
What is the problem? The campaign of Modern Warfare presents a civil war-like conflict in the fictional Urzikstan, where a rebel militia, a terrorist cell, the USA and Russia fight each other.
However, the story is told quite one-sidedly from the perspective of the USA, which has already led to a lot of criticism and issues:
Here’s how it could be resolved: One way to address this would be to expand the campaign from the perspective of the Russians. At the moment, they are purely depicted as the “bad guys”.
By changing the perspective, better integrity and a more objective viewpoint of the story would be ensured, as well as a type of moral conflict for the player who must decide which side is “in the right”.
Are improvements planned?
The future holds: Yes, soon some of the most pressing issues, such as the footsteps, the claymores, or the weapon balance will be addressed – according to the developers.
Also, another frequently mentioned point – the selection of maps – is likely to be addressed soon. A recent leak revealed that Modern Warfare may soon receive new maps and even game modes:
The famous paladin Leeroy Jenkins has a new location in World of Warcraft. As it should be, he at least has chicken with him.
Currently, World of Warcraft is celebrating the 15th anniversary of the MMORPG. There are some in-game activities for this event. In addition to a classic version of the Alterac Valley, there are three LFR raids where numerous bosses from the past can be battled. This will even be rewarded with a mount that looks like Deathwing. But there are also other small Easter eggs and references from the past to be found – just like Leeroy Jenkins.
Who is Leeroy Jenkins? Most people should know Leeroy, as he has become somewhat of an internet legend. He was a paladin player who became famous for rushing into the “Upper Blackrock Spire” dungeon during the vanilla era of WoW into the room with the dragon eggs. Instead of listening to his comrades’ strategy, he simply shouted his name “Leeeeeroy Jenkins!” and charged in. Of course, he and all the other group members died in the process. After complaints from the group, he sheepishly said, “At least I got chicken …”
The corresponding internet clip was widely shared – even the re-upload from 5 years ago has already garnered over 14 million views.

Where is Leeroy in WoW? During the birthday event, Leeroy can now be found hanging out in the Caverns of Time, where he has his own vendor stand. We have marked his location on the map here:
As is fitting for Leeroy, he of course has his chicken at his side and also sells roasted chicken. Even that has a reference to his past – in the description it says: “My chicken is so good, it’s worth dying for!”
Basically, there is currently a lot going on in the Caverns of Time because there are special vendors, a dance club, and Chromie is also present. So it’s worth taking a look as long as the event runs until early January.
Did you discover any more Easter eggs during the birthday event?

With a patch, Rockstar Games aimed to fix the crashes, crashes, and blue screens in Red Dead Redemption 2. However, many players are still complaining about issues.
Rockstar’s solution: On the evening of November 5, Rockstar Games released an update for their Rockstar Games Launcher. The patch notes state:
A bug was fixed that caused the launcher to display the error “The Rockstar Games Launcher failed to initialize” upon startup
A bug was fixed that caused the preload to get stuck during decryption
A bug was fixed that caused the launcher to display the error “The Rockstar Games Launcher has unexpectedly exited” when launching Red Dead Redemption 2
A bug was fixed that caused the Rockstar Games Launcher to crash when launched through the Epic Games Launcher
A bug was fixed that caused the launcher to display the error “Could not start the game, please verify your game data” when launching Red Dead Redemption 2 through the Epic Games Launcher
The result: Still problems
Now this patch should eliminate a significant number of the errors. However, players are stating that there are still crashes and issues with the game.
On Twitter, many players are responding to support that they continue to have the same problems, and the new patch did not help them.
Mood among players is low: On Reddit, there is now a collection thread for the second day of problems. The thread already has over 300 comments after 3 hours. Many are annoyed that they still cannot play today.
“I am still getting the error that the Rockstar Games Launcher has unexpectedly exited. I can’t believe it’s been 24 hours and Rockstar still hasn’t fixed this,” writes a player in the comments on Reddit.
Others report that they are demanding their money back. “[…] If they don’t solve the crashing and stuttering soon, I will demand my money back,” writes a Reddit user. In response, another player states that he is already asking for a refund but has not received a reply yet.

Nintendo’s fighting classic Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is gaining fighters from the Fatal Fury series. However, one heroine from there will not be included because she is too sexy.
This was announced: In a live stream, Masahiro Sakurai, director of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, announced new DLC featuring the character Terry Bogard. This fighter is known from Fatal Fury.
However, Sakurai also pointed out that one female fighter will not be included: Mai Shiranui. She is one of the main characters in Fatal Fury. His reasoning is likely to make many players chuckle, as the character is simply too sexy for the Nintendo classic.
This is how Nintendo explains the exclusion of Mai Shiranui
This is what Sakurai says: The director explains in the stream that Super Smash Bros. is for young players, and the character would not fit in.
“You may have noticed that a very important character from the Fatal Fury series is not included. Yes, Mai Shiranui. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is for good boys and girls of all ages, so we decided not to show her; please forgive us.”
Masahiro Sakurai introducing Terry Bogard
Is the character really that revealing? Looking closely at Mai Shiranui, one can see a lot of skin and little clothing. In fact, no character in the roster of fighters from Super Smash Bros. Ultimate looks as revealing.
This character is still included: Currently, you can also fight with Bayonetta in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. In her own games, Bayonetta was often a bit more revealing, but in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, she is fully clothed.
This is how Bayonetta is portrayed in Super Smash Bros. Source: Forbes
This could theoretically also have been done with Mai Shiranui, but the development team apparently decided against it.
What other characters are there? The roster is full of colorful fighters. There are Mario, Sonic, and Donkey Kong, but also characters from Street Fighter.
The space epic Elite: Dangerous has gained another chapter. After 5 years of exploration, players now find a new culture in an ancient generation ship. And it needs your help!
What was discovered in Elite: Dangerous? The grand space simulation Elite: Dangerous thrives on its brave astronauts and their discoveries. Players regularly encounter new and fascinating things, some created by the random generator or added by the developers.
Recently, Elite explorer and Twitch streamer “malic_vr” discovered a massive generation ship called “Golconda” during one of his streams. This isn’t unusual; several of these ships have already been found and filed under the keyword “curiosities” in the Elite folder.
The streamer malic_vr listens intently to the logs of the Golconda
New generation ship surprisingly inhabited
What’s special about this ship? In this case, the ship is inhabited, surprising the unsuspecting pilot who was merely seeking his good deed of the day.
The transmitted messages from the ship indicate that it has been traveling for nearly a thousand years and has long left its original destination behind. A unique culture has developed aboard the ship, which now faces extinction.
The Beluga liner is one of the largest controllable ships in the game but can’t compete with any of the generation ships.
In a gigantic world, even massive ships remain undiscovered
How could it remain undiscovered for 5 years? The latest installment of the space series Elite is incredibly vast. The developers packed the entire Milky Way and beyond into the game. Even a large ship doesn’t attract excessive attention in such expanses. Additionally, due to its speed, it isn’t always traveling close to a star system.
The flying habitat was only discovered due to onboard issues. A flu-like illness is slowly but steadily spreading aboard, and the captain has decided to send a distress signal against the will of his generation to replenish dwindling medical supplies.
However, it’s also possible that this ship was only recently added to the game. This current discovery could be part of a new storyline within the Elite universe that’s now slowly unfolding.
Log from in-game news led to the discovery
How was the ship found? An inconspicuous entry from the in-game news portal reported on the spread of a plague due to a production error with one of their high-tech fertilizers. The company apparently recognized the distress signal but could not identify the source specifically.
Fortunately, there are dedicated astronauts like “malic_vr” who selflessly respond to the call to fly to the “Upaniklis” system. After studying the logs, it turns out that the ship has been infected with this plague for generations and is gradually losing control of it.
The generation ships are enormous. Here is one of the already discovered models from a video by CMDR PLATER.
The community loves events like this
What do the Elite astronauts think of it? The game has a dedicated community, and even 5 years after release, it is still loved by some fans, and regular community events are held.
I know it’s just a game. But such things blow me away! […]
With just this type of event, the imagination of players is fueled, and some will set out to help the people in distress. However, since the colonists live in physical and cultural quarantine, establishing contact is challenging.
It’s quite possible that the discovery adds a new story thread in the universe and contributes to missions stabilizing the population of the lonely space habitat. The game is supposed to be supported for a while longer.
Unfortunately, the next update won’t arrive until 2020, but here you can already find information about the new content.
