Today on January 29th, there was a small new update in Fortnite. We show you the changes and new content in the patch notes.
This is what’s in the new update today: The update brings some bug fixes to the game. Additionally, a mode of transportation that had to be removed due to severe exploits is making a comeback.
They were supposed to return with the next bigger update, but Epic has now reintroduced them in this patch.
You can use the Zip Lines again as a means of transportation or complete your challenges with them.
Bug Fixes
Which bugs were fixed? A few bug fixes, primarily related to building, have been implemented:
A bug that prevented players from editing building structures while looking down has been fixed
A bug that allowed players to unintentionally edit their building parts through the ground has also been fixed

The compensation will be provided in the form of a item package with a wealth of materials (for building, crafting, etc.).

Ny’alotha on Mythic difficulty was not well balanced. WoW is constantly pushing hotfixes.
The “World First” race for the first kill of the Mythic boss N’Zoth in World of Warcraft might be over quite quickly. Before the European guild Method could even start playing, the American guild had already plowed through half of the raid with overwhelming ease. Even the players stated that many bosses had too little health – and Blizzard quickly made adjustments, sometimes between two pulls.
What happened? The guild Limit used the time advantage to defeat the bosses in Ny’alotha and were quite surprised by some of the enemies. The bosses often had relatively low health and could sometimes be defeated almost with “Brute Force.” But between the first pull of the boss Ra-den and the second, something interesting happened multiple times – the health points of the enemies skyrocketed. The boss gained nearly 20% additional health from one try to the next.
Suddenly, Ra-den can withstand much more…
Apparently, Blizzard is also monitoring the boss fights live and immediately implements adjustments when a boss could fall too quickly and does not match the difficulty that was initially expected.
Bosses weaker than expected for Blizzard?
Why are the bosses so weak? “Weak” is of course a relative term – after all, we are talking about some of the best WoW players in the world. However, that Blizzard raised the health of bosses by about 20% between two pulls suggests that even the developers did not know exactly what corrupted items would do to the power of certain characters. Otherwise, it is hard to explain why such large adjustments are made during an ongoing raid.
Corrupted items have already been nerfed: Coinciding with the weekly maintenance, Blizzard had already reduced some effects of the corrupted items, causing significantly less damage. Apparently, this was still not enough, which is why the bosses had to be fine-tuned a bit more. Corrupted items are heavily criticized anyway.
Hopefully, N’Zoth will have an appropriate health pool from the start. It would be a shame if the final fight is over so quickly.
In FIFA 20, it is time for TOTW 20 (Team of the Week). Learn which players are included in the new Team of the Week and will receive fresh Inform cards here.
This is the Team of the Week: In TOTW, EA Sports assembles a team of 23 players who have performed well in real football.
These players will receive coveted Inform cards that are better than previous Inform cards or the base cards of the respective players.
The highlights in TOTW 20: The strongest cards this week can be Ilicic and Insigne with ratings of 88. Donnarumma (87), Ricardo Pereira (86), Goretzka (86), and Plea (86) will also receive strong new Inform cards in TOTW 20.
These Bundesliga players made it: FUT players with Bundesliga squads can look forward to new Inform cards from Goretzka (86), Plea (86), and Guerreiro (84).

The latest patch in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare caused quite a stir. Among other things, the spawns on the Shipment map were supposed to be improved, but the opposite has happened.
What did the patch promise? The update from yesterday, January 28th, brought back Shipment 24/7 and promised spawn adjustments there. It was supposed to prevent players from being killed immediately upon spawning, and the spawn points were to be expanded to the edge of the map.
According to early reports, however, the spawns have gotten worse. It seems players can be eliminated more easily upon entering the match.

How are players reacting now? There is a lot of mockery and derision for this change. Some players refer to the fixed spawns in quotes and do not consider them better.
Other players are really angry. They say they would rather have the previous spawns back, as they were better. For example, biwweh says on reddit: “The Shipment spawns are just as bad, if not worse than before.”
Could there be another adjustment? This will show in the coming days. Infinity Ward is surely aware that players are not happy about the change and might make further adjustments.
Shipment is small and that’s a problem
Why are the spawns on Shipment so weird? The map is very small and thus offers limited space to spawn. Once one side has pushed their opponents deep into their territory, they can easily stand in front of the spawn points and rack up kills.
Players often do not even see their opponents and are eliminated at the first movement.
Another game mode has also been activated since the patch. It is supposed to make all players happy:

One of the best gaming setups

After the update 2.7.1, data miners discovered that the long-awaited return of the Trials in Destiny 2 is imminent. But not everyone is excited about it. Why is that? And how do you see the return of the Trials of Osiris?
The return is likely closely related to the upcoming Season 9 content “Empyrean Foundation“, in which we will rebuild the iconic Lighthouse and thus pave the way for the return of the Trials in the Season of the Worthy (according to data mining, this is the official German name).
What are the Trials again? The Trials (Trials of Osiris) were once the most popular format for PvP enthusiasts and kept Destiny 1 alive even during content droughts.
Since then, numerous Guardians have been eagerly awaiting the return of this popular mode and have high hopes for it. Now it seems that the time has finally come.
The sentiment about the return of the Trials is divided
Some had envisioned it differently: The interesting part is the reactions of the players. Many have been hoping for a decent Trials for years, and the calls for an overhaul and a return of this PvP format have essentially been constant on Reddit and in social media.
Now that the return of the Trials has leaked, the reactions are different from what many Guardians might have expected. It’s not even about the Trials in detail – concrete information is currently not available. Much more so, it’s about the return itself.
Here are the first reactions: The first reactions show that not everyone – not even every PvP fan – is excited about the return.
The leaks on Reddit are not going through the roof; the largest thread hasn’t even reached 1,000 upvotes after 15 hours. Even some memes and minor details seem to excite users there more right now.
A look at the comments, even here on MeinMMO, shows: yes, many are looking forward to it, but far from the mass that some may have suspected. And there are many critical voices. This level of criticism was not necessarily expected.
In short: The great jubilation that many probably expected with this info has not occurred. At least not yet.
This is what players looking forward to the Trials say: Nevertheless, the anticipation for the Trials is definitely present. Numerous users simply write “Awesome! Finally! It was about time!” and celebrate the impending return of the Trials.
Many are especially curious about how Bungie has redesigned the format, what new rewards and incentives the studio has created for it, and are looking forward to more concrete details. Generally, many hope that a worthy endgame for PvP finally comes into the game.
This is what the skeptics say: But there is also a lot of criticism and skepticism.
Some PvE players fear that the next season could be completely focused on the Trials and generally on PvP, putting the fun of the game at risk. Because even now, some Guardians in PvE have hardly anything to do. If Season 10 is completely focused on PvP, many Destiny players see dark times ahead.

There simply lacks a stable foundation, a solid framework – only then would such a mode make sense.
Some also note that the Trials should simply be added as an update and not be the likely highlight of an entire season. Building a new season on an old and long-overdue content is simply not right in the eyes of some Guardians. Some also fear that the Trials may be linked to the acquisition of the season pass. This does not necessarily meet with enthusiasm.

The Division YouTuber “LtBuzzLitebeer,” known in the community as part of the Elite Task Force Echo and invited to Sweden by Massive, analyzed the trailer in an English video and found 10 hints that could point to facts about Episode 3.
I would like to present to you the 10 hints, along with my own thoughts and the community’s speculations, as some have already formed their own opinions.
1. Hint – Journey to Coney Island

Right from the start, you can see an unusual image. The Agents approach Coney Island from the sea and are likely to reach the peninsula by boat.
Since the usual means of transport is the helicopter, we are likely seeing part of the introduction mission that paves the way to Coney Island and unlocks a beachhead near the peninsula before going to rescue the scientist.
“LtBuzzLitebeer” suspects that the imprisoned scientist, who is to be rescued by the Division, could be a scientist from the first part: Gordon Emherst. The virologist was the mastermind behind the “Dollar Flu” pandemic and might have a trick up his sleeve for an antidote.
However, the comments under the video strongly contradict this, as Emherst’s body was found in the first part. Users believe it is more likely that it is Vitaly Tchernenko. This virologist was Emherst’s ruthless partner and prioritizes scientific progress over the well-being of people.
However, both theories have a problem. In the widely circulated photos of these individuals, both still have their full head of hair. Since the events of the first part are not too far from those of the second, it is unlikely that either of them would lose their hair so quickly. However, the photos may have been taken earlier.
Update January 30: In the State of the Game from January 29, one of the developers referred to the scientist as Tchernenko. So, it is likely not Emherst.
This Exo-rifle was announced a few weeks ago and has now been confirmed for Episode 3. The Chameleon changes color depending on the background and comes as an automatic assault rifle.
The weapon strongly resembles the SMG Vector and is, according to Fredrik Thylander, the Division weapon type, a heavily modified version of the Vector. There is a built-in suppressor in the barrel and a large drum magazine. Due to the visible equipment of the agent, “LtBuzzLitebeer” suspects a rifle for skill builds.
4. Hint – Cleaner & Black Tusk

Coney Island offers players two hostile factions – Cleaners and Black Tusk. It has previously been suspected that the two factions operate together to protect New York from the reckless Washington agents.
But in one scene, the Cleaners are seen showing up behind the Black Tusk lines, and the bandits do not seem to know what is going on. The Cleaners appear to be unwelcome visitors wanting to claim their part of the pie.
In the first part, the Cleaners were the chaos terrorists, formed from former employees of some public services and were mostly lightly armored. After losing their leader, this faction was considered severely weakened, and the JTF no longer classified them as a major threat.
That seems to have changed. Although the Cleaners still like to play with fire, they are now bringing significant armor with them. The bandits seem to have a new boss who has set it upon themselves to rid Coney Island of unwanted guests, be they Black Tusk or Division agents.
One of the most obvious hints is probably the flamethrower. That Episode 3 would come with a new specialization has been known since the launch of The Division 2. Now we have the confirmation.
The perks of the specialization are very interesting and are eagerly anticipated by some players. So far, there has been a tank (Sharpshooter) and a skill support (Technician). This class could become a damage dealer or a specialization with abilities for enhanced healing or something entirely different.
The weapon is based on the framework of the M4 but is a smaller variant that resembles an SMG. Whether the weapon comes as an Exotic or just as a new standard weapon remains to be seen.
Update January 30: In the State of the Game from January 29, it was officially announced that this is a regular weapon. The Honey Badger will not be an Exotic.
8. Hint – Giant Rocket Launchers

In one scene, we see 2 large rocket launcher batteries, likely responsible for preventing the agents from reaching Coney Island except by boat.
In one of the Pentagon missions from Episode 2, there was a fight against a machine that constantly sent drones after the agents. This boss battle is considered by some players to be the best element of the Pentagon missions, and it’s possible that there will also be a machine boss dropping explosives in the missions on Coney Island for some variety.
“LtBuzzLitebeer” was able to pinpoint the precise location where the scientist is being held. It is a former baseball stadium known as the MCU Park of the Brooklyn Cyclones.
One can clearly see the floodlights on the boundary, the large LED screens, and the typical rounded field of baseball fields. It’s possible that the final battle of Episode 3 takes place here while the boss makes dismissive gestures on the screens.
In the end, we see several images of the Nemesis, the adversary of Episode 3. Speculation is running rampant, and for some agents, it’s clear: This can only be Aaron Keener!
A nemesis seeks to spread the “Green Poison” virus further, and there will be a showdown when the episode releases early in 2020.
According to Ubisoft, the enemy is described as a nemesis, meaning a sworn enemy, so the character should already be known to the players from the story.
However, not everyone is so sure that it is really Aaron Keener. What seems certain is that it is a rogue agent of the “First Wave,” the first wave of Division agents sent to the city after the incident in New York to secure peace – with rather dubious success.
The figure appears rather thin from behind, which would fit more with a female adversary. But who could that be? “LtBuzzLitebeer” noted that the character wears a similar suit to Wyvern, the final boss of the “Division 2” story.

In the Brazilian League of Legends, there was an incident where a former professional player made sexist remarks about a player from the INTZ e-Sports team. He received a lot of backlash for this, and now he faces a lawsuit.
What happened? The Brazilian LoL player Pedro “Lep” Marcari caused a stir with a comment about the 17-year-old player Júlia “Mayumi” Nakamura during his livestream on January 25.
During an analysis of the first matchday of the Brazilian “League of Legends” league CBLoL, one of his followers asked him the following question:
“Wasn’t it your idea for the guys to scratch their balls after shaking hands with Mayumi in the Superliga?”
Lep responded with:
“After? I should at least do it beforehand, right?”

Moreover, it is questionable whether the LoL player will ever find a professional team again. He played in the CBLoL in 2018 and last season at RED Canids in the Brazilian Challenger League. Currently, he has no team.
It is also possible that the streaming platform Twitch will take action as a result of this statement. The sexist remark was made during a livestream there.
How was the comment received? The remark caused a lot of outrage on the internet. In a tweet, player Mayumi herself spoke out:
“I wonder what goes through the mind of a 25-year-old man telling others to ‘scratch their balls’ before shaking the hand of a 17-year-old girl.”
Mayumi’s LoL team also supported her and expressed sharp criticism of Lep. INTZ e-Sports wrote in an official statement:
With this letter, INTZ expresses its rejection of Pedro Marcari’s comments about our professional athlete and streamer Júlia Mayumi on January 25, 2020.
The content, which was broadcast on Twitch.tv, was defamatory, hurtful, and crossed boundaries. It caused shock, disgust, and calls for legal action, to put it mildly. The fact that a professional eSports player behaved so abominably that damage was inflicted on the victim and her family is tantamount to a crime.
We understand that such actions are unacceptable not only in the world of electronic sports and entertainment but in society as a whole. These actions contaminate the social environment and influence young people to condone such behavior, which breeds new forms of intolerance.
In light of the facts, INTZ hopes that this case will be resolved quickly and that the relevant authorities will take action. Actions like these reinforce the need to continue fighting against discrimination, prejudice, and offenses of any kind, especially against women, not only for our club but for society as a whole.

How did Lep respond? In a tweet to Mayumi, the LoL player apologized. He claimed he should not have participated in this “joke” and promises it will not happen again in the future.
But just two days later, Lep received a donation that brought up the subject again in a voice message. The streamer could not help but laugh.
Mayumi then expressed her disappointment and asked on Twitter what the point of a public apology was if it was not meant sincerely at all.
Female Pro Players Struggling with Sexism
Who is Mayumi? The 17-year-old is one of the few women who has made it into a professional League of Legends team. In 2019, she was predominantly a substitute support for the Brazilian team INTZ e-Sports, and since this season, she has been playing from the start.
In her first game against Uppercut Esports, she achieved a KDA of 1/0/15 as a support on Nautilus. After the match, she was self-critical, thanked everyone for their support, but also demanded more from herself in the future.

Can Heatran be shiny? Yes, the shiny form of Heatran is now in the game. If you’re lucky, you might catch one during the raid hour in January 2020. The chances are 1 in 19. Therefore, try to complete as many raids as possible to increase your chances.
How does the raid hour work? Today, at 6:00 PM local time, the raid hour will start. You will then see increased level 5 raids – the legendary raids – on the map of Pokémon GO. The event lasts for one hour and ends at 7:00 PM.

In Monster Hunter World: Iceborne, there’s a lot going on right now. The birthday event brings many tasks. During the “Grand Appreciation Fest,” both the Fest der Dankbarkeit and the new Astral Fest are active. Additionally, there are many other event quests, one of which rewards you with an interesting hammer.
A Delicious Weapon – the Thigh Slapper
What kind of weapon is this? For the meat fans in front of their screens, Capcom has come up with something special for the latest event. You can farm a hammer shaped like a meat joint. The weapon is called Premium Thigh Slapper (Well-done Hammer) and the upgraded version is called Ultimate Thigh Slapper (Juicy Well-done Hammer).

Whether you find it tasty or not, the weapon is definitely special. It bears the emblem of Monster Hunter World, and at one point, a bit of the more or less crispy-looking skin is hanging down.
What can the hammer do? Even the first level comes with a lot of attack power. Unfortunately, the 1404 points are overshadowed by merely blue sharpness. The upgraded Ultimate Thigh Slapper has even 1612 attack and can compete with level-12 weapons like the Mähnentücke from Rajang.

Since the meat hammer has level 11, you can install more augmentations than with level 12 weapons. If you are bothered by the lack of sharpness, you can take a closer look at some skills. These include mainly “Craftsmanship” or “Quick Sharpening.”

What’s new with Identity? The developers have published a newsletter. In this, they explain that a small update has been released, which primarily fixes bugs in the pre-alpha version.
The team further explains that development is proceeding slower than expected due to a difficult financial situation. In addition to the game’s development, extra work must be taken on to pay the bills. This includes support for the mobile game Furballs. Therefore, Identity is currently being developed part-time. However, progress is being made, albeit at a significantly slower pace.
How does the team plan to complete the MMORPG? It is now said that many smaller updates are to be released in the future, gradually expanding Identity. Previously, it was planned to release updates in large modules that would bring many larger contents each time.
