What is this about? Hands up: Who here has ever gushed about a fictional character? They are often designed to seem strong, attractive, and wealthy, have great character traits, and only one major “disadvantage”: They don’t exist.
But imagine for a moment that you are not sitting in front of your PC or looking at your smartphone. Instead, you are standing in front of a character from your favorite MMO and he or she invites you to a romantic dinner.
Which character would you say yes to? So put yourself in that situation and think.
Which character could it be? MMO games often have a wide array of colorful personalities designed to engage us and draw us into the story. Many are crafted to appeal to us, whether purely visually or in terms of personality.

The new expansion Warlords of New York for The Division 2 will be released soon. It takes the agents back to the Big Apple. However, the game world is completely different than in Part 1. We will show you what to expect in the new area.
What’s included in the new expansion? Warlords of New York not only brings numerous improvements, innovations, or fresh loot to the game – it also introduces a completely new game area – New York. However, the new game world is quite different from Part 1, as many veterans may recall.
We will take a closer look at the new open world and summarize what is currently known about it.
What we know about Lower Manhattan – the new open-world area of The Division 2
What are we doing in New York? The upcoming major expansion Warlords of New York brings the agents back to Manhattan.
In short and without wanting to spoil much: Here, the mission is to take down Aaron Keener, a rogue Division agent. He is essentially the main antagonist of the Division series, who was once abandoned by the Division and left to die in the Dark Zone.
By now, he wants more than just revenge; he has developed his own bio-weapons and has also used them. This is the reason for our “excursion”.
However, in the hunt for this traitor, the agents must first get past Keener’s 4 Warlords – former agents of the first wave, who now control parts of New York for him.

This is the new open world: The new open-world area of Warlords of New York takes place in the eponymous metropolis – specifically in the area of Lower Manhattan, the southern tip of the famous district in the heart of NYC.
This is different than in The Division 2: However, even though The Division 1 was already set in New York – the new world is now quite different from Part 1:
The first noticeable difference is – it is no longer winter. While The Division 1 took place entirely in the cold season, the agents now return to a summery, green New York, where nature is gradually reclaiming the city.
It doesn’t return to the old game world of The Division 1, but to a completely new area. What has happened to the original areas from Part 1 is currently unknown.
New York has been hit hard by a severe hurricane, which has flooded, devastated, or completely cut off parts of the city. This has plunged the already sealed-off and quarantined metropolis further into chaos.
The new game world is significantly smaller than the original New York from Part 1 or Washington D.C. from the previous The Division 2.
This is how the new area is divided: The new game world Lower Manhattan is divided into 4 areas, all of which have real counterparts.
They differ not only in architecture but also in vegetation and the degree of destruction:
Two Bridges in the northeast. In this residential area, the hurricane apparently wreaked the most havoc. The bridge to Brooklyn was completely destroyed, and an oil tanker was washed ashore, causing an oil spill.
Financial District in the southeast. The flood also wreaked havoc around Wall Street, filling the streets between the skyscrapers with mud and water.
Civic Center in the northwest. The former administrative and government district of New York was largely spared by the flood, but little of its former glory remains.
Battery Park in the southwest. This area with one of the oldest parks in New York has been heavily flooded. It now resembles a swamp and is marked by rough terrain and numerous deep sinkholes created by collapsed and exposed subway tunnels.
Whether there is possibly also a Dark Zone in the new game world is currently unknown.
This is what you can expect there: The areas are controlled by various factions that are just waiting to confront the Division.
In Two Bridges and Battery Park, you will be dealing with the Cleaners, who burn everything that stands in their way.
In the Financial District and Civic Center, you will encounter the Rikers – a gang of former prisoners from Rikers Island.
Additionally, in each of these 4 areas, one of the 4 Warlords is waiting for you. Therefore, the hunt for Keener will take you across the entire new game world.
But otherwise, the power dynamics are no longer as they may have been known by agents from Part 1. Much has changed. The days when the suffering population looked up at the Division and saw the agents as saviors in shiny armor are long gone.
The remaining New Yorkers are now hardened survivors, better organized, and have been fighting against the bandits for months. They now know exactly how to defend their settlements and how to handle heavy weaponry.
The emergence of new Division agents does not always bring joy and open arms. So you will not only explore a new world and hunt Keener, but you will also have to regain the trust of the population and completely rebuild the relationship.
What you need to keep in mind on your NY trip: What is important with the trip to New York: Once you have started the new campaign in NYC, you cannot return to Washington for the time being. This will only be possible once you have completed the campaign. After that, however, you can travel back and forth between the two open-world areas.

Annoyed by trolls who bother you in online games, flame you, and bring your mood down? A Twitch streamer shows in League of Legends how you should deal with the typically aggressive players in LoL.
Who’s streaming? On the account omg_mom_play_lol, as the name suggests, a mother plays the MOBA League of Legends. She plays at Silver 3 level, roughly in the lower middle.
What happened? On February 9, she streamed LoL matches on Twitch. In a clip that has been seen often now, she plays the supporter Zyra. She is a mage, a hybrid being of plant and human, who fights with the help of plants. Her teammate on the bot lane wrote in the team chat that she shouldn’t stand behind the teammate with her ranged character. After all, the opponent is only Nautilus, a melee champion.
Then he adds a “Pussa,” which presumably stands for “Pussy.” Trolls often use this word to describe that players are not aggressive enough, but rather reserved and passive. He probably wrote it with an “a” to bypass the profanity filter.
The streamer reads the chat to her viewers and has to laugh after she says, “and he calls me a pussy.”

Why is this exemplary? Trolls are a problem in many online games. But usually only if you pay them attention. Those who laugh in their face and take them not seriously will leave them running empty with their anger.
Our author Patrick Freese also thinks so:
I played ranked games in League of Legends diligently for a couple of years. Unfortunately, trolls always played a big role. The problem back then was often that people thought they had to justify themselves against the internet tough guys. Instead of concentrating on a game and muting the stressor immediately, heated discussions broke out.
Quickly, one troll, who contributes nothing to the game, becomes a group of at least two players, who prefer to chat and diss each other rather than help the team. Not infrequently, entire games collapse because of this ‘But he insulted me, I have to defend myself’ mentality.
The streamer in the clips shown takes it all with humor. She does not let herself be provoked by the insults and does not justify why she played passively before.

Special content for PlayStation will come to PC and Xbox later
What kind of special content is this? To be clear, there are no additional multiplayer maps for PlayStation. The new seasons and other content for the multiplayer mode come to the platforms simultaneously.
However, players on PlayStation can play a co-op mode that others will have to do without for now. The Survival mode is somewhat reminiscent of the Zombie mode from earlier CoD titles and sends hordes of enemies against you.
There is a small special feature for PS players in the multiplayer after all. There are 2 mission lines, with which the Sony soldiers can unlock some special weapon blueprints at the end.
When will these items be available for other platforms? The exclusivity runs until October 1st. By that time, many players will likely have lost interest in Modern Warfare.
What came with Season 2? With the new season, the Survival mode is being further expanded and will receive an additional map. Azhir Cave is already known from multiplayer and now gets a survival variant.
In addition, PlayStation players received a second mission line for multiplayer. Along with experience points, there is a nice weapon blueprint at the end.
Survival mode small variety, weapon skins easy to unlock
What can the Survival mode do? This 4-player co-op mode is reminiscent of the zombie missions from earlier CoD titles, but it cannot compete with the complexity at all.
You are placed on a map and must survive waves of enemies that become stronger with each new wave. Instead of points, you earn money in your account with hits, kills, or actions. With this money, you can buy weapons, killstreaks, and equipment to fight against the hordes of enemies. Since the start of the second season, there are 5 maps for the Survival mode.
In Survival mode you have to withstand many waves of enemies, and you can be revived.
Especially with a larger team, the Survival mode can be fun. However, it lacks the tasks and puzzles from the Zombie mode to remain interesting for a longer period. For warming up or for a quick round in between, the Survival mode is definitely suitable.
How good are the weapon skins? Both exclusive skins come in a metallic blue and look quite nice. The missions to secure the skins go quickly, unlike some other standard missions.
Top left is the exclusive skin for the FN Scar 17 assault rifle, “Frosty Jack.” Right is the new skin with Season 2, “Lucky Strike” for the LMG PKM.
On PlayStation you can secure two nice skins. The PKM is even considered the strongest LMG and you would gladly take a cool skin for such a weapon.
Ultimately, the skins do not make a big difference, and the experience points from the mission lines are quickly forgotten. To unlock “Frosty Jack,” the co-op mode would need to be played, which might deter some.
The bonus is less significant than the Survival mode, but a nice addition for PlayStation players.
Exclusive content is nice, but nothing more
Don’t worry if you are playing on Xbox or PC. The Survival mode is a nice gimmick, but not a huge hit.
How is the mode received? It can be fun to shoot your way through hordes of enemies. However, just like the normal SpecOps missions, the Survival mode is not well received by many players. The mode has fans, but often the comments sound like this:
Torchic-The-Pyro: “I made it to wave 69 with randoms. We then decided to take ourselves out because it was boring.”
Green_Dayzed: “Survival mode is an exclusive hot mess.”
MaximumSandwich5: “The game mode is complete trash. Why did Sony pay for this crap lmao? All it brought was some unnecessary chaos.”
If you have the chance to play Modern Warfare on PlayStation, feel free to take it. You get a small extra mode and nice skins. By the way, you can now even play on the console with a mouse and keyboard. Incidentally, controller players currently have an advantage due to a bug.
The extra content does not blow anyone away, and no one on the other platforms should be too sad about not playing on PlayStation.

In Borderlands 3, many new changes are coming.Two small things have been directly taken from fan wishes and are now a source of joy.

The action RPG Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem is set to release on February 13. Already today, on February 12, the first tests of a pre-release version of Wolcen have been published, but according to the developers, these should not count. The reviews are said to be a misunderstanding. The version is outdated.
What happened? Some gaming websites have already had the chance to play the action RPG Wolcen in a pre-release version. This version was sent out at the beginning of February and has since been updated.
Among the pre-release testers is also GameStar. They rated the RPG in the test with a score of 84, but Wolcen received significant deductions for bugs and technical issues, leading to a final score of 69. For such a highly anticipated game, that’s rather disappointing.

The issues that contributed to the negative rating were also not on the list that was sent along with the keys. They occurred with two testers, which is why the downgrade was so significant.

What is praised about Wolcen? Wolcen is actually doing well in the GameStar test. It is praised for many points, including:

What does Steam say? Much of the positive feedback aligns with the experiences of early access players on Steam. There, the action RPG also receives predominantly positive reviews (91% of the 2,099 reviews in the last 30 days).
However, the testers there could only play the first of three acts and were severely limited in level. Thus, they could not experience the actual endgame and the end of the story.
There are now many alternatives to Diablo, including Grim Dawn and Path of Exile. In addition, several new hack and slashes are expected to be released in 2020:

This makes it nearly impossible for the other survivors to successfully finish the match, drastically decreasing their chances of victory.
Now Dead by Daylight is taking action against this behavior and automatically imposing increasingly severe penalties on such players. The system has been tested before.
What has changed? Since February 11, 2020, Dead by Daylight has introduced a penalty for players who leave a match early. These players will then be unable to search for matches for a period of time and must effectively serve their penalty. The more often one flees from a game in this way, the greater the penalty. It starts at a few seconds but can extend to minutes and hours. Any kind of leaving the match early counts as a disconnect, such as:
Turning off the PC or console.
Pulling out the internet cable.
Quitting the game.

The “excuse” of a poor internet connection is not accepted by Behaviour.
Penalties decrease over time: If you accumulate a long-time penalty and are worried about the next one, you simply need to not leave games early anymore. After a while, the accumulated penalty will be reduced again, so that if there is another offense, only a minor penalty will apply. This is meant to protect players who only occasionally have an unjustified disconnect.
What about group players? Players who play in a group cannot sign up for a new game if one of the players is under a penalty. The whole group must either wait for the penalty to expire or the player responsible for the penalty must leave the group.
Complaints about these penalties cannot be filed, by the way. Support will not deal with such requests – they must be served in every case.

The second Charged Attack costs only 10,000 Stardust, making Swampert more versatile. Mud Shot is a fast Charged Attack that can nearly take down a Registeel by itself. Hydro Cannon is also one of the best Charged Attacks in the game. A dangerous mix.
Not many players are aware of Gyarados, but it is quite useful. A second Charged Attack for only 10,000 Stardust and a Magikarp at level 25 speak for themselves. Those who couldn’t defeat the Giratina with Snorlax can do it with Gyarados. Fire Fang and Crunch are effective against Giratina, and a Hydro Pump can deal decent neutral damage to other Pokémon. Crunch is also effective against the numerous Psychic Pokémon in the league.

Before you develop a Togekiss, you must teach Togepi a second Charged Attack. This costs 10,000 Stardust. However, a second Charged Attack for Togekiss costs 50,000 Stardust. So you can get a Togekiss with two Charged Attacks quite cheaply, which is very useful. The fast move Charm effectively hits Giratina, with Flamethrower you can defeat Registeel and Ancient Power is good against Pokémon like Charizard or Regice.

Recently, there have been significant issues with Destiny 2 after updates. Bungie is providing internal insights as the developer clarifies what went wrong and how they plan to avoid such situations in the future.
What problems are we discussing? With the reset on February 11, a small update was introduced intended to fix some issues and kick off a new event. However, after about an hour, emergency maintenance occurred and the servers were taken offline.
The issues even led to the last resort: a rollback. This has now happened for the second time in Destiny’s history. The last time was just two weeks ago when Update 2.7.1 caused significant problems. Bungie wants to provide clarity now and is revealing their hand.
How did the original problem occur? Bungie is now addressing this in a letter to the community. It details the causes of the issues that led to the two emergency maintenances and the rollbacks.
To understand how the loss occurred in player inventories, Bungie mentions two causes:

What was going on?
Problem 1: The Inventory Menu
This is how inventory management works in Destiny 2: Whether quests, items, or materials and currency, the entries in your inventory as well as quest logs are time-stamped. This helps the game know when you first received each item.
Each time you log in, Destiny checks all time stamps. It verifies whether all items or missions are correctly ordered and whether all resources do not exceed their maximum cap.

The described time stamp has caused several problems for a while now and has been investigated by the developers. The new fix was deemed critical and reviewed, but initially, no error could be identified by the domain experts.

What does the video remind you of? If you didn’t know it was Wolcen, it could easily be a new trailer for Diablo 4. Wolcen really looks very similar to Blizzard’s upcoming action RPG. This is due to the dark and realistic graphic style and of course the typical isometric perspective.
When does Wolcen start?The release will take place on the 13th of February at approximately 18:00. However, you can also already get the hack ‘n slash through Steam in early access and play Act 1.
