Activision Blizzard banned thousands of cheaters in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare & Warzone with a major banning wave. However, it seems that innocent players were also affected, and they are now demanding answers. The developers remain silent.
What is it about? The popular shooters Call of Duty: Modern Warfare & Warzone have a cheating problem. God modes, wall glitches, or aimbots ruin fair players’ matches repeatedly. Players on consoles even disable crossplay to protect themselves from cheaters on PC.
However, it appears that this consistent banning of cheaters also produces collateral damage. More and more players are complaining about unjustified bans and report that numerous CoD Points and play hours have likely been irretrievably lost due to these bans.
Other than general statements regarding the bans, the developers have had nothing to say so far. Now, user “John Jefferson Sy” has even started a petition on Change.org to get Activision Blizzard to speak, which has already reached its first signature goal. However, the creators remain silent.
Players feel wrongly banned – petition is ongoing
What do the players demand in the petition? The first goal of the petition is the restoration of the banned accounts or at least an explanation as to why the accounts were suspended. The petition is addressed to two high-ranking officials at Activision Blizzard – CCO Kristin Binns and CEO Bobby Kotick.
The first goal of 500 supporters has already been reached. The next milestone is 1,000, and so far, 575 people have signed the petition (April 28, 1:00 PM).
What do the developers say about it? The responsible parties remain stubbornly silent regarding the emerging accusations. Other than the official announcements on handling cheaters, there has been no response to the questions from the upset CoD soldiers.
“John Jefferson Sy” tried contacting Activision support, but they presumably only said:
“Temporary and permanent bans in all game modes are final and are not subject to review. Activision Support cannot answer or assist with enforcement matters.”
As the issue of cheaters became increasingly prominent in the community, officials commented on it a few weeks ago in an Activision blog post. Here, the strict communication policy regarding cheaters is clear: “This is an area we are working intensely on, but we do not always discuss it publicly.”
Why aren’t the creators providing clear answers? Developers or the respective studios often tend to obscure their actions against cheaters as much as possible. Once the methods are known, the chance increases that inventive hackers will find effective ways to prevent the detection of cheats and hacks.
Activision analyzes data and only bans with strict scrutiny
How does Call of Duty ban cheaters? In the blog post, the developers revealed a bit about their approach. They use automated analysis programs to look for anomalies. A security team monitors the data around the clock to identify possible violations.
When we report a player, they are analyzed and filtered based on key factors. If the data confirms the suspicion of the reporting player, the cheating soldiers then appear on the security team’s radar.
“All violations undergo a thorough review process by the security team of Infinity Ward before enforcement, and penalties are not subject to further review.”
A typical wall glitcher at work on the action map Shipment.
Which actions lead to bans? According to the English security guidelines of CoD Warzone, the following actions are prohibited:
Using third-party software for modding or hacking
Using fake CoD versions (piracy)
Unsupported peripherals and applications
Boosting – unintentionally enhancing rewards such as XP
Glitching – exploiting game errors for personal gain
Griefing – ruining the game for other players with one’s behavior
Offensive behavior such as cyberbullying or racism
Players with content or objects that are actually unavailable
Decompiling or reverse-engineering game data
According to Activision, most points on this list have a “threat level” and result in a temporary ban. Only after a second or third infraction do they lead to permanent bans. However, modding/hacking, piracy, and decompiling source code lead directly to a permanent ban without warning.
Statement against statement – the banning issue remains intriguing
Does the petition have a chance of success? “John Jefferson Sy” claims that a large portion of the banned players are innocent. If this is confirmed, it could soon become a serious problem for Activision Blizzard. This would mean several tens of thousands of players could take to the streets against CoD and its banning policy.
However, the statements of the CoD creators stand against these accusations. Every ban, whether permanent or temporary, is subject to manual review by the security team. While human error may occur, it is unlikely that a large portion of the bans went wrong.
Either way, the responsible parties recently issued clear warnings against cheaters and continue to diligently ban suspected hackers and cheaters – or at least send them to their own cheat servers. However, if it turns out that there are many innocent victims of the war against CoD cheaters, the action somewhat misses the actual purpose. The issue remains intriguing.

Sergio Agüero of Manchester City is currently playing football on Twitch instead of on the pitch. This leads to some funny situations in FIFA 20 – like this one, where both Agüeros were wonderfully frustrated.
What happened? In the Twitch stream of Premier League striker and star player Sergio Agüero, there have been many funny situations lately. However, a particular clip garnered special attention.
In it, Sergio Agüero runs towards the opponent’s goal with his own character, takes a shot from a tight angle – and hits the ball next to the left post.
This caused frustration – for both Agüeros. Both the real and the FIFA Agüero held their hands in frustration behind their heads – and that almost simultaneously. Additionally, a loud “Noooo” can be heard from the professional.

How the clip was received: The post on Reddit under the motto “At least the player reactions are realistic” garnered over 4,000 upvotes. The comments were quite amused: The funny but rather realistic coincidence was described as “just perfect” or “fantastic”.
Agüero is well-received: Overall, Agüero can be pleased with positive feedback on Reddit. Things are also going well for the striker on Twitch.
If you look at the videos in the “FIFA” category, Agüero is right up there:
Many people are watching Agüero’s videos on Twitch
That even professionals have a hard time was shown by Agüero in another video. However, this one is more fitting for a list of unrealistic FIFA situations, compared to the “double Agüero frustration”.
In this scenario, Agüero’s opponent sent a cross into the box that goalkeeper David de Gea mistakenly launched into his own net.

Such a mistake is unlikely to happen to the real David de Gea. So it’s no wonder that the goal drove Agüero to despair.
“EA spares no one, my friend,” commented user “FromKunchee” (via reddit). Here too, Agüero’s incredulous reaction caused amused sympathy.
Previously, the Argentine striker had already caused a stir when he expressed his frustration with EA Sports live on stream. However, it wasn’t about the sometimes somewhat confusing gameplay, but rather about how hard it is to get good cards.

In Pokémon GO there are now further changes in the game during Corona. The two latest ensure that you have to walk less. PokéStops and buddy Pokémon have been changed.
What’s new: On the evening of March 27, a lot happened in Pokémon GO. From now on, you can raid comfortably from afar. The remote raids help trainers so that they no longer have to walk to hotspots like gyms, but can play from a safe distance. This avoids the issue of crowds gathering because of Pokémon GO.
The two latest changes revolve around PokéStops and buddies. PokéStops now have a larger radius, and buddies can fetch gifts for you. Both changes ensure that you have to walk less and maybe even play Pokémon GO without leaving the house.
Changes to PokéStops
What has changed: Niantic informed the trainers that the radius for interacting with PokéStops has now been increased. To be precise, the radius has been doubled. This is supposed to match the distance at which you can also interact with gyms.
It seems that this change did not reach all trainers by midday on April 28. They are receiving error messages when spinning the stops. Certain regions or player groups may be gradually unlocked.
Buddies now fetch gifts – How does that work?
What has changed: Your buddy Pokémon already have many interaction possibilities. Now they are even more useful for trainers.
Buddy Pokémon now frequently venture out to stops and gyms nearby, bringing gifts from there. You can then send these gifts to friends on your friend list.
If you are still missing a few online buddies, then use our post to find Pokémon GO friends.
Regularly, it brings you gifts from stops. In the game, you will see the buddy with a symbol above its head when it has found gifts. The good part is that multiple gifts will be brought at once. The number can vary. In screenshots in the community, we saw at least 3 to 10 gifts that a buddy brought at the same time.
Your buddy does not need to be visible on the map for this
What else has changed? The game also extended the “Special Bonuses” with increased incense effectiveness, more gift openings, higher gift storage, and half hatch distance. In the game, it is stated that these bonuses are supposed to last for another 33 days.
Another change is the new Special Research “Nostalgia Challenge”, which has initially been unlocked only for a few trainers. We have compiled all tasks and rewards for you so that you can see what to expect.

Currently, the Kickstarter MMORPG Chronicles of Elyria is in turmoil. After the game’s cancellation was announced, players began to sue the developer. However, he now claims that Chronicles of Elyria is not dead.
What happened? On March 25, the CEO of Soulbound Studios, the company behind Chronicles of Elyria, announced that all employees have been laid off. This is due to the fact that no publisher could be found for the ambitious MMORPG and the company has now run out of money.
While “something playable” was supposed to emerge from the data of Elyria through voluntary work, the text actually made it clear that the originally planned MMORPG will not be implemented.
However, the company now claims that Chronicles of Elyria is still in development. Players on reddit speculate that Soulbound Studios is just trying to evade the lawsuit.
The characters in the MMORPG were supposed to age and die. A feature that brought Chronicles of Elyria attention, but perhaps overreached.
Development of Chronicles of Elyria continues under the CEO
What does Soulbound say? In a FAQ on the website, CEO Jeromy “Caspian” Walsh addresses the current situation of Chronicles of Elyria. When asked if players will get their money back, he replied:
Our intention was and is to deliver Chronicles of Elyria.
Although we have overcome many challenges and made mistakes in the development of this unique game, our efforts continue.
All funds we raised for development, including a significant portion of the founder’s personal money, were spent by Soulbound in good faith for the game […].
100% of the funds we raised through Kickstarter, our stretch goals, and direct payments went directly into the development of the game. Developing games, especially games of this scale, is a costly endeavor […].
No one bought a Ferrari. No one took a world trip with your money. All salaries were within the norm for a company of our size in our industry and region […].
Our costs can be broken down into salary and wage costs for about 20 people, numerous contractors, health insurance, operating expenses […], software licenses and related royalties, legal costs, accounting, training, and marketing.
Our operating costs averaged nearly $2 million per year over four years, and every penny can be accounted for.
How will Elyria be further developed? The development of Chronicles of Elyria is currently being continued solely by CEO Walsh. This was stated by the CEO in the FAQ.
He is joined by 6 former employees who volunteer in their spare time to assist with development. However, this is not expected to last long, as Walsh is currently looking for a financial solution.
How this solution will look is still unclear to him.
Players suspect a stalling tactic
How are players reacting? In the subreddit for Chronicles of Elyria, some users suspect that behind the FAQ and the development by one person lies a stalling tactic to avoid a lawsuit.
“This is the biggest “Please don’t sue me” response I’ve ever read. What nonsense. […]. The statement that they [the game] still want to deliver is at best misleading, at worst fraudulent. I mean, if they couldn’t deliver with the team they had before, what can they deliver now?”
Other users also find the response “ridiculous” (via Geoffrey994) or describe it as “a joke” (via Alfgart).
However, there are also a few voices that at least hope the CEO’s statements could be true and that Chronicles of Elyria might still be released.
What happens next with the lawsuit? Currently, there has been no statement from the organizers of the lawsuit regarding the new FAQ. This was only published last night. As soon as there is a statement, we will add it to the article.
How powerful are tanks in World of Warcraft? This is demonstrated by player Nnoggie, who almost made the Ny’alotha raid child’s play with 30 tanks.
What did the group achieve? The Raid Ny’alotha definitely poses a challenge. However, Nnoggie, a member of the guild Method, wanted to prove that it can be beaten even if there are only tanks in the group, meaning no damage dealers or healers are included. Thus, 30 tanks set out and managed to conquer Ny’alotha in heroic mode – and did so quite easily. The entire raid posed no problem for Nnoggie, who formed a new group for this, as they even laughed while rushing through the raid.

This video summarizes the Ny’alotha raid with 30 tanks.
Tanks are powerful
How did the group achieve this? The professional guild Method is currently the second strongest raid guild in the world. In the current content, they were only slightly behind the world first kill on N’zoth mythic by Limit. However, only Nnoggie played from this group.
Nnoggie and his friends resorted to some creative gameplay mechanics. This includes boosting the corruption effect “Twilight Devastation.” This effect belongs to the corruption introduced with Patch 8.3, which has been criticized for its strength for some time.
To achieve this boost, the players stacked the Azerite essence “Strength of the Guardian,” which increases the health of all tanks in the raid by 3% and stacks itself.
Since “Twilight Devastation” scales with maximum health and all 30 tanks used the Azerite essence as well as many stamina items like the time-warped version of “King Llane’s regal seal,” the players stacked millions in health and could thus deal correspondingly high damage.
Furthermore, they also utilized items like the “Vitageladener Titanensplitter,” which is considered one of the strongest trinkets for many tanks.
Who are the players? They are the well-known WoW player Nnoggie. Among other things, he is known for the Method Dungeon Tools add-on for WoW. Nnoggie called on Discord to help him with his endeavor.
He gathered 29 other players who responded to his call and plunged into the heroic mode of the Ny’alotha raid. The group only played tank classes, including several blood death knights, a few demon hunters and warriors, as well as one paladin, one druid and one monk.
What do WoW players think of this achievement? Players are impressed with this achievement and are also amazed that such health and damage numbers are possible. Some consider it exaggerated.
PlasticAngle comments on reddit: “4 million health … yes, this Twilight Devastation hurts.”
Neramm comments on reddit: “Corruption is only really fun when it’s broken.”
Players in the MMORPG World of Warcraft repeatedly achieve special feats and set records. For example, player DesMephisto managed to bring 46 characters to level 120, all of whom were warriors.

What does the maintenance entail? Even after the 2 major updates in April (Title Update 8.5 and Title Update 9), as well as the retraction of a controversial nerf, the developers at Massive continue to work on The Division 2. Therefore, there will be maintenance today, including server downtime, which will also bring some changes.
All you need to know about the maintenance on April 28
This is how the maintenance will proceed today: Massive has already announced the schedule for today on Twitter.
The maintenance is scheduled to start today at 9:30 AM CEST. At the same time, the Division 2 servers will go offline, and the downtime will begin.
The server downtime is expected to last 3 hours. During this time, the changes will go live and you will need to take a forced break.
If the maintenance goes according to plan, the servers will come back online around 12:30 PM. This would conclude today’s maintenance and you can play The Division 2 again.
These times can change during the maintenance, this has happened more than once. If the maintenance ends earlier than planned or extends unexpectedly, we will update this article accordingly.
Overview of the changes – What the patch notes reveal: Besides the schedule, Massive has also published the patch notes. The following changes are expected after today’s maintenance in The Division 2:
A problem has been resolved that allowed the seeker mine to deal unintended high damage in the Dark Zone.
A problem has been fixed that allowed the talent “Unstoppable Force” (additional weapon damage per kill. 5% for 15 seconds, up to 5 stacks) to trigger when using allied skills.
By the way, the patch notes can also change during the maintenance. Sometimes not all points ultimately made it into the game, or further changes were added that were not initially listed. We will keep you updated on this.
This is new in The Division 2: With today’s maintenance, the clothing event Urban Jungle and the hunt for Saturn (the event week) – the 3rd target person as part of the seasonal hunt – will end. A new content of Season 1 will launch. After today’s forced break, you can wreak havoc in the Home League New York.

Valorant is a huge success on Twitch and is generating record numbers of viewers. But how did it come to be? Were the top streamers paid by Riot to play Valorant? Riot has now issued a detailed statement: There are no sponsored streams, they say.
This is how successful Valorant is on Twitch: The Beta of Valorant was represented in April 2020 with an average of 502,852 viewers across various Twitch streams. This makes Valorant easily the top title on Amazon’s streaming platform. By comparison, the next 5 top categories had not even half of this viewership in April 2020 (as of April 28, 2020):
Just Chatting: 193,381 viewers on average
League of Legends: 189,792 viewers on average
Fortnite: 133,729 viewers on average
CS:GO: 119,075 viewers on average
GTA 5: 103,444 viewers on average
The Twitch numbers for Valorant on April 28, 2020. Source: Twitchtracker
Additionally, there are more records. Valorant was viewed for over 34 million hours in one day. In one day, 4000 years of Valorant were viewed.
The reason for the many views is that players can only get Beta access for Valorant by watching streams. However, before every streamer could distribute access for the beta, there were only a few selected top streamers who actively had such Twitch drops in their streams.
Were all of the streamers paid by Riot to play and promote the game?
Riot explains how to attract Twitch streamers to Valorant
This is how Riot proceeded: In an article on the site Engadget, Riot’s marketing chief Nikki Lewis was interviewed on the subject. She first stated that they had contacted hundreds of streamers and influencers from around the world.
They asked the streamers to stream Valorant during the beta and to offer access via drops. It was important to select hardcore shooter fans who understand such games and like the game. However, no money was involved:
During the closed beta, we did not pay any streamer to stream Valorant. Our goal is to maintain a community for years, even decades. Therefore, we strive to build a long-term relationship with streamers and look for things of value where we can support the business foundations that they [the streamers] want to build.
What did the streamers then receive? But what did Riot offer the streamers? Lewis did not provide any details, but she stated that they wanted to build an “ecosystem” that would “be beneficial for all of us.” And indeed, so far everyone has benefited from Valorant:
The streamers received fantastic viewership numbers
Riot received massive free promotion for their game
Amazon benefited from the increased user volume on Twitch
Moreover, Riot Games has always been open to influencers:
The reason we are so popular with streamers is that we aim to get to know them, build deeper relationships with them, understand their feedback on the game, and play the game with them. We have many developers who play with influencers and simply embrace and welcome them. This has been an explicit marketing strategy of ours.
This is what lies behind it: If you listen to Twitch streamers, it probably wasn’t even necessary for Riot Games to pay them, because Valorant brought in so many viewers and thus revenues through the Twitch drops that almost everyone wanted to be part of it (Dr Disrespect, by his own account, did not):
for established streamers at the top of Twitch like summit1g or Myth, it was the chance to do something new and entertain their viewers
for second-tier streamers, Valorant offered the chance for a breakthrough – streamers like Craig “ONSCREEN” Shanon say they have gained 500,000 followers and 14,000 subscribers through Valorant. Just the subscriptions bring about $30,000 a month. Advertising and donations come on top.
This is probably the ecosystem Riot Games is talking about.
He is one of the big names in Valorant. summit1g
However, things with Valorant on Twitch and the Twitch drops are also not running smoothly. As some streamers let their channel run 24 hours a day with partially recorded content, the whole situation around the coveted Twitch drops is slowly becoming absurd and many are getting annoyed.

Do you mind if others reveal the best story decisions to you? Sony has announced a curious patent for the PS4 and PS5 that is supposed to protect you from spoilers. MeinMMO explains how it is supposed to work.
Where do the information come from? A patent from Sony has appeared at the American US Patent and Trademark Office (via uspto.gov). According to the published data, the patent is supposed to protect players from things that could be spoilers.
But how is the patent supposed to work? MeinMMO has taken a closer look at the patent and explains how it could work in detail.
This is how the patent is explained. Image source: Respawnfirst.com
A feature for the PS5 – This is how the spoiler protection works
According to the patent, the mechanism is controlled via a server. The data is processed there as well. If Sony implements it, the spoiler protection is supposed to work like this:
A server checks which data is potentially available to the player.
The server recognizes that certain objects occur in a specific game.
The server recognizes based on the metadata which objects the player cannot have seen yet, and thus they are potential spoilers.
The system determines that certain objects must be a spoiler.
The user is prevented from interacting with blocked objects through the PlayStation system.
Where does this protection work? According to the patent, it is “cross-platform spoiler blocking”. This means that this protection could work on both the PlayStation 4 and the PlayStation 5. However, that is pure speculation.
It is also unknown whether the patent can also be applied to old games or whether this function would need to be integrated into the games by the developers through an interface.
The patent also states that the system is mainly intended for games with story and PvE focus. Whether this protection could also work in multiplayer games is therefore also unknown.
That’s why Sony wants to protect you from nasty spoilers
Games like “The Last of Us” rely on a strong story. Sony wants to protect players from spoilers – they can also refuse this protection.
In the description of the patent, it says:
Spoilers are one of the biggest worries of players of single-player, co-op, or PvE games when they are out with friends or in online communities (through discussions, walkthroughs). This fear can prevent players from engaging in community-building social behaviors, which could lead to a significant loss of engagement with the gaming platform for these users.
What does this mean for the player? It’s not just about protecting players from the betrayal of the story. They also think of people who are afraid to talk to others because they fear that someone might spoil the story for them.
They do not want to disadvantage or exclude players. Thus, no one should be excluded from the gaming platform or the community.
There are also players who are socially excluded but can overcome their fears in a special way. For example, a boy has found 900 new friends online despite his fears:
PS4 and PS5: You still want to know how the story ends? No problem
However, this protection is not necessarily mandatory for everyone. According to the patent, you are still allowed to get spoiled: because according to the text, this protection mechanism can also be turned off.
In response to a request, marked objects of a type can be made visible again for the player.
In another patent, it was explained that the PS5 controller could process biosensory feedback. And as it looks so far, the announced Dualsense controller is indeed going to have such a feature.
What can the PS5 controller actually do?
The PS5 controller was recently introduced by Sony. And not only in terms of design does the PS5 controller differ from the old Dualshock 4.
If you are interested in the PS5 controller, we have summarized all important information regarding the Dualsense controller for you.

The new event exotic from Destiny 2 (PC, PS4, Xbox One, Stadia) came in April 2020 and packs quite a punch. We take a closer look at Heir Apparent and compare it to the current top exotic Xenophage.
This weapon is about: In Destiny 2 there is a new weapon exotic named Heir Apparent. The heavy machine gun is used in the power slot and deals solar damage.
The power weapon stands out with its massive magazine of 200 rounds and high rate of fire of 900 RPM. However, the most interesting aspects are the two exotic abilities:
Heavy projectile launcher: The weapon must be spun up – This weapon can only be fired when fully revved up.
Colossus Armor: When at full health, you will be protected by an Arc shield while spinning up this weapon.
Heir Apparent must be spun up briefly before firing; only then can you unleash the devastating hail of bullets.
Heir Apparent looks like a Gatling gun and plays like one too.
It is important to know that you operate the weapon almost from the hip. When aimed, you do not look through the sight – a small red dot appears, however, to provide some guidance.
Additionally, the MG offers:
Aim Assist: 90/100
Recoil control: 75/100 + 20 (from combat grip)
A very generous hitbox
This ensures that the bullet spewer feels excellent while shooting, and you can easily hit enemies with continuous fire, even with a controller.
This is how the special shield works: One of the coolest features of Heir Apparent is the Colossus Armor. With this perk, you get an Arc shield that completely envelops you and protects you from all sides.
Here’s what you need to know about the Arc shield:
After about 1.5 seconds of spinning up, the shield appears.
You receive about one-third extra energy (80 hit points), and the shield heals itself automatically.
Arc damage breaks the shield fairly quickly and triggers an Arc explosion (like against PvE enemies).
Kinetic, solar, and void damage are reduced – kinetic damage significantly (50%).
You cannot suffer critical hits while using the shield.
This is what your new Arc shield looks like to others – Source: Nexxoss Gaming
Exotic appearance is now available through the event, later randomly
This is how you can obtain Heir Apparent: If you want to get your hands on this special exotic, you currently need to play the Guardian Games event. As a reward for 7 mastered event triumphs, you will receive the MG from Eva Levante in the Tower.
If you do not want or cannot participate in the competitions, do not worry. Like previous event weapons (e.g., Arbalest), Heir Apparent will eventually also move into the regular exotic loot pool.
For all medal hunters who want to get the new power weapon as quickly as possible, we have written a guide to the Guardian Games 2020:
This is how the exotic MG performs in PvE: In Destiny 2’s PvE, Heir Apparent makes a good impression. With its massive magazine, you can mow down enemies by the dozen. The interesting shield always provides you with cover.
However, be mindful if the enemies in strikes, for example, tend to deal Arc damage. In this case, your protection can quickly become a trap.
Even against boss enemies, the relatively high damage can be utilized well, but it is not the strongest exotic for taking down bosses. A major advantage is the ammunition reserves of 500 rounds. In one second, you can unleash about 15 shots at enemies.
Another important factor is the fun. In tests, it is often praised how great it feels to roam around with your terminator Gatling. The weapon has a refreshing playstyle, and the shield provides the necessary support for the action movie fantasy.
You can recognize your active shield by the effect at the edge of the screen – Source: Nexxoss Gaming
This is how the exotic MG performs in PvP: When you play in the Crucible, you can achieve decent kill streaks with Heir Apparent. With the MG, you likely have the best time to kill (TTK) of all category representatives. This is made possible by the fast rate of fire and good damage:
33 per headshot (0.33 seconds TTK)
28 per body shot (0.4 seconds TTK)
Keep in mind that you must let the power weapon spin up first. However, as a trade-off, you get a proud 68 shots when you loot the power ammo. This is enough, even with body shots, for approximately 9 defeated Guardians.
Thanks to the unique shield, you can absorb sniper hits and benefit enormously from the fact that enemies cannot land critical hits on you.
Two negative aspects do affect Heir Apparent in PvP:
You are relatively slow with the heavy weapon, which makes jumps impossible while spinning up.
Against Arc damage, you have no chance – The shield explosion inflicts devastating hits on your health and quickly turns you from the hunter into the hunted.
Heir Apparent vs. Xenophage – Which exotic is stronger?
In the current Season 10, every exotic in the power slot must measure up to Xenophage. Coincidentally, both weapons belong to the category of heavy, exotic MGs and deal solar damage.
Everything you need to know about Xenophage can be found here:
Xenophage shines mainly against the biggest bosses. In fights against weaker enemies and groups of adds, a shot is basically too valuable, despite the area damage.
Besides the insane damage, Guardians appreciate the simple and fun handling of Xenophage. No critical hits are needed to achieve maximum effectiveness.
Xenophage fires slowly but lethally.
This is what Heir Apparent can do:
Pro
Large magazine (200 rounds)
Large reserve (500 rounds)
Strong aim assist for hip fire
Extremely high rate of fire
Kills everything except bosses very quickly
Unique Colossus shield
Is extremely fun to use
High total damage
Contra
Medium damage per shot
Critical hits at range are difficult to achieve through hip fire
Medium range (37 meters until damage drop-off)
Must be spun up
Shield is weak against Arc damage
It is striking: Aside from the category and damage type, the similarities between the two exotic guns almost end. Heir Apparent shreds everything except bosses – Xenophage roasts through majors and shows its full potential against strong bosses.
Fast rate of fire and shielded as a frontline fighter or devastating single shots from a distance like a tank howitzer. Both exotics have their place in Destiny 2 and come highly recommended.
One thing both power weapons have in common: Both provide a lot of fun and fulfill cool power fantasies. Whether Heir Apparent will be my new favorite exotic remains to be seen; currently, that spot is still filled by Xenophage.

The MMORPG The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) has many skins for you. One of the most popular helmets is a pot, and it is really funny. We at MeinMMO show you in this guide how to get it.
While the latest expansion Greymoor is just around the corner, we have a tip for you on how to bridge the time until then. And in doing so, you will be rewarded with the coolest helmet in the game: Cadwell’s Helmet of Heroism.
What kind of helmet is this? To be precise, the helmet is a headpiece. You can access it in ESO through your collection, covering your head slot or that of your costume.
As the name suggests, you get the helmet from the iconic Cadwell. The somewhat crazy NPC encounters you already in the first tutorial. He wears a slightly different version of the hat popular among conspiracy theorists, namely a pot. We at MeinMMO explain how you can farm this for your own character.
The somewhat crazy Sir Cadwell with his helmet
Questing, questing, questing
To secure Cadwell’s Helmet of Heroism, you need to complete two missions for Cadwell in the refuge. However, for him to appear there, you must first have completed the main story of the base game. You can find out how to start it in our guide.
The two missions are called Cadwell’s Silver and Cadwell’s Gold. They take you into the areas of the respective other factions, where you need to complete a lot of quests. But luckily, not all of them, just selected ones.
Cadwell reached out to me with the offer to see what the course of events would have been if I had washed ashore on the shores of a different alliance after escaping Coldharbour.
Journal in the game
This is Cadwell’s Silver: Depending on your alliance at the start of the game, you will be teleported by Cadwell to a different faction:
The Daggerfall Covenant lands on Khenarthis’ Roost at the Aldmeri Dominion
Players of the Aldmeri Dominion venture to Wrothgar to the Ebonheart Pact
The Ebonheart Pact finds itself at Stros M’Kai in the Daggerfall Covenant
There, you will face the main story of the respective alliance. From Cadwell, you will receive an almanac as part of the quest. In this, you will find written which quests you need to complete. Once you have survived that, you can collect your reward from Cadwell.
This is Cadwell’s Gold: With the first quest Cadwell’s Silver, however, you cannot yet call the hat your own. You must first complete the follow-up quest. This takes you to the area that you have not yet completed:
The Daggerfall Covenant will face quests from the Ebonheart Pact
With the Aldmeri Dominion, you must focus on the quests of the Daggerfall Covenant
Players of the Ebonheart Pact are sent to the Aldmeri Dominion
If you have also completed all quests from Cadwell’s almanac there, you will be greeted with Cadwell’s Helmet of Heroism upon turning it in.
With an almanac to success
Both the almanac for Cadwell’s Silver and Cadwell’s Gold unlock a tab in your journal. There, you will see the first quest list displayed under the silver symbol and the second under the gold.
This is what Cadwell’s almanac includes: Together, these two lists encompass a total of 152 quests. So you have a lot to do on your way to the helmet. The missions are distributed over the following areas:
Daggerfall Covenant
Glenumbra (11 quests)
Stormhaven (18 quests)
Rift (8 quests)
Alik’r Desert (6 quests)
Bangkorai (6 quests)
Aldmeri Dominion:
Auridon (11 quests)
Glenumbra (6 quests)
Greenshadow (11 quests)
Malabal Tor (5 quests)
Death’s Storm (9 quests)
Ebonheart Pact:
Stonefall (16 quests)
Deshaan (11 quests)
Shadowfen (8 quests)
Eastmarch (17 quests)
Rift (9 quests)
As you can see, the quest series is extremely lengthy. On the one hand, you must have completed your main story to even start.
However, you will learn a lot about the story of The Elder Scrolls Online. Moreover, you might see areas and characters that you would never have encountered before. And the most important thing – you get the best headpiece in the game.

From today, it will be possible to earn a redeployment for your entire squad in Call of Duty: Warzone through a new contract. We explain what this is all about.
In addition to the popular mode “Shoot the Ship”, a new weapon or new possibilities for individual weapon blueprints, a new feature specifically for Warzone is coming – a new type of contract, along with a very valuable reward for the battle royale.
After the new update on April 28, there will now be another type of contract that you can accept during a Warzone match – Most Wanted. This will allow you to earn a redeployment, known as a redeployment, for your entire squad.
This secures you an important advantage in combat and essentially acts as a kind of life insurance. So far, self-revivals could only be purchased by individual squad members. Additionally, redeployments for fallen squad members can be bought for credits – but again, only for individuals. With this new reward, it seems you can bring the entire team back into the fight at once.
Details on the exact function and application (whether it can be triggered deliberately or automatically when the last standing squad member dies) are still pending.
This is how the new “Most Wanted” contract works: This new contract can be found in the game world, just like the previous types of contracts. But the valuable reward that the new Contract brings is not given freely.
If you accept it, you make yourself a bounty target for all teams in Verdansk, that is, in the Warzone. To receive the ultimate reward, you must survive for a certain period while the bounty is active. So you are on the run and fighting for your life.
If you succeed in surviving, you earn the redeployment for your team – whether you are playing in trios or quads. But even as a solo player, you can earn this new reward.
In Fallout 76, it is possible to send a robot to search for items in the world. However, a new version of this tin friend has a curious peculiarity: it overwhelms players with communist propaganda, which can be quite annoying.
What does the robot do? You can buy the Communist Collectron for 500 atoms in the game. Then you command it to go out into the world and collect items. Just like you know from the regular Comrade Collectron.
The Communist Collectron, however, constantly spreads communist propaganda. It spouts phrases like: “We are the proletariat. Our work is never done!” or “Free yourselves from your chains!”
You can operate the robot in two modes:
Proletariat – The tin friend collects food and water
Revolutionary – The Collectron searches for blood packs and weapons
You can buy the Communist Collectron in Fallout 76 for 500 atoms.
An annoying tin friend
How does the robot annoy the players? The communist sayings alone would still be funny. However, the Communist Collectron not only brings home the items it is supposed to search for. It also fills your stash with propaganda flyers. And not just one or two, but quite a few. And that happens every time you send it out.
This means you have to constantly dispose of these flyers. You can sell them for one caps each, but that involves quite a bit of effort, especially with the amount that accumulates.
And that can be quite annoying.

The Communist Collectron gets to work with communist sayings.
How do players react? The Communist Collectron is already a topic of conversation in the Fallout 76 community. Some find it annoying, others find the idea amusing.
Aero82Art says on reddit: “I really don’t like going on adventures for an hour and finding 8 propaganda posters, 1 frag grenade, and 1 box of Dandy Boy Apples. I understand it’s a joke item and overall I enjoy the bot and its sayings, but I spent 500 atoms on it, which is the same price as the normal Collectron that actually finds useful junk and items. The propaganda poster just takes up space in the bin, and I have to remove them. Please, please, please remove it from the possible loot pool. Thank you.”
FireRabbit67 explains on reddit: “The communist Collectron looks for weapons but mainly delivers useless propaganda flyers. I played for a few hours (maybe 3-4) and got 35-40 propaganda flyers as well as just a single frag grenade.”
CaptZombieHero is pretty annoyed on reddit: “So far the bastard has only brought 3 blood packs but 73 propaganda posters. What a waste of atoms.”
goblinite2 takes it with humor on reddit: “Why do you want to ban the literature of the people, comrades? If the commissar hears this, he will question your dedication to the party!”
Diogo Jota is usually responsible for scoring goals in the Premier League. Currently, the league is on pause – and Jota is showing what he can do in FIFA 20.
This is Diogo Jota: Diogo Jota is a Portuguese forward for the Premier League club Wolverhampton Wanderers. They currently sit in sixth place in the paused league – and Jota’s stats are impressive.
6 goals and 1 assist in the league, 6 more in the Europa League, and previously eight scoring points in the qualifiers – the forward knows how to create goals. And it seems he can seamlessly transfer this to FIFA 20.
Perfect Weekend League with a strong team
This is how Jota’s Weekend League went: On Twitter, Jota shared his success on Sunday: He actually managed to complete the entire Weekend League with 30:0, thus without a single defeat. That’s a ratio that even professionals only achieve on really strong weekends.
With this result, Jota ended the weekend ranked 61st on the global FIFA Top 100 list of the Weekend League. This means he will receive a lot of strong Weekend League rewards – and further improve his already strong team.
This is what Jota’s team looks like: In addition, on Twitter, Jota showed his team that got him into the Top 100. It features three Icons, as well as several Premier League colleagues with strong special cards:
From his own team, the Wolves, there is currently no card in the starting lineup. This even applies to his own strong Pro card: He only substitutes that in during a match. By the way, his first major success was not the Weekend League.
Jota defeats the Premier League in FIFA 20
Jota wins official tournament: During the current league pause, a large FIFA tournament was held in the Premier League featuring representatives from the league clubs. Stars like Raheem Sterling and Trent Alexander-Arnold were present – as well as Jota.
He made his way to the final and defeated Alexander-Arnold in extra time. This makes Jota the first ePremier League Champion in FIFA 20.
Very happy! Great tournament. Very good organisation from premier league as always! Also contributing to the NHS so I hope everyone enjoyed it as much as me ???? pic.twitter.com/pOymv6czCP
In addition to Jota, other football stars have also found their way to the console. This includes Sergio Agüero from Manchester City, for example. And the forward star complained directly to EA Sports.

In Valorant, the controversial anti-cheat tool Vanguard is causing trouble. The software activates upon starting the PC and is difficult to remove. However, the developers have listened to player complaints and offered options for more transparency and, at least temporarily, deletion.
What is Vanguard? Vanguard is an anti-cheat tool developed by Riot. The program aims to prevent and detect cheat software in the Beta of Valorant. Therefore, it installs a driver with admin rights deep in the system and always starts with the computer. This means Vanguard stays active and ensures that no malicious cheat software is in use. If you somehow delete Vanguard, you cannot play Valorant.
Since Vanguard simply integrates itself into your system and could potentially do anything, many players inherently distrust the tool. Such invasive practices are typically associated with harmful malware and viruses. Therefore, some players even boycott Valorant, even though they would actually enjoy playing it.
Riot sticks to Vanguard but offers a compromise
This is how Riot responded: In previous statements regarding the anti-cheat, Riot has remained firm. Yes, they understand that players find Vanguard’s approach strange, but it has to be this way, otherwise the cheaters will win.
However, Riot had promised earlier to show more transparency. And that seems to have happened now.
This is how Vanguard works now: As of now, you can see Vanguard. Instead of silently infiltrating your system, there is now a large red icon in your Windows notification area. You can find the notification area at the bottom right next to the clock display.
Here in the bottom right, you can find the Vanguard icon.
If you click on the icon, you have the following options:
Hide Vanguard: You won’t see the icon anymore.
End Vanguard: Vanguard is no longer active. However, you will also not be able to play Valorant until you restart your entire system.
Uninstall Vanguard: If you don’t want Vanguard to start again after the next reboot, you can conveniently remove it completely from the disk. However, if you start Valorant, it will be downloaded again, and you will have to reboot your system to play. So, you won’t be rid of it here either if you want to keep playing.
Especially the last option is intended by Riot to ensure that during a longer Valorant break, Vanguard will definitely be removed from your disk and won’t mistakenly block harmless programs or even prevent you from charging your phone on the PC. This indeed happened to a former CS:GO pro in Valorant.

The splitscreen mode in Fortnite Battle Royale is a feature on PS4 and Xbox One. But is the feature available on PC and Nintendo Switch? We explain to you in this English guide how to set it up and where you can use it.
What does the splitscreen bring? This feature in Fortnite allows you to play with your friends on a PS4/Xbox One. You can log in on the same console and simply share the screen.
To set up the splitscreen on PS4 and Xbox One, we have compiled a tutorial in English that explains how the feature works exactly.
For advanced users, there is a brief “Step by Step” guide here. We will go into more detail about this in the section below.
Log in 2 players on the console
Connect the 2nd controller to the console with a charging cable and log in the second account
Log in to Fortnite
Open Fortnite and add another player in the lobby.
Start Fortnite game
Once both players are in the Fortnite lobby, you can normally start a duo or team game.
Splitscreen gets activated
The match starts, and your screen is divided into 2 halves. You did it, and can now play together.
I, Eilyn, tried the splitscreen feature on PS4 myself. I noticed that the process isn’t that difficult, but without a guide, I wouldn’t have known what to do. Therefore, we have prepared a more detailed guide for you.
1. Step: Log in both players on the console
How does it work? The player who owns the console turns it on first as usual. Thus, he is already logged in.
Now, however, the 2nd controller needs to be connected. For this, you connect the 2nd controller to the console with the charging cable and press the home button.
A new window will open, and you can either select a saved account or log in a new user.
The 2nd player should definitely log in their PS4 account linked with the Fortnite account. Otherwise, you won’t have access to your Epic account.
Once both players are logged into the console, you switch to the owner’s account. There you can now start Fortnite.
Important: If you want to use splitscreen on Xbox One, only player 1 needs an Xbox Live Gold subscription.
2. Step: Log in to Fortnite
What do you need to do? Now that you have opened Fortnite and are in the lobby, you still need to log in the 2nd player.
For this, you will find a function at the bottom right that shows you which button to press for the 2nd player to join the lobby. It says: (P2) Log in (Hold).
On my PS4, the buttons are swapped, which is why it says Circle instead of X here
Now hold that button down. Afterwards, a window will open that looks similar to the login window. A few seconds later, both players will be in the lobby.
Both players are now in the Fortnite lobby
The splitscreen feature is still in its early phase. Therefore, only the modes “Duo” and “Teams” are possible with this feature.
3. Step: Start Fortnite game
What do you need to do? Now you can start the game normally. You join a server.
If everything worked, you will now have a split screen. You can see both characters on the monitor. To avoid confusion, a picture of your skin will be displayed next to your game image.
With splitscreen, the screen is divided and you can see both characters at the same time
Is splitscreen not working perfectly?
As mentioned, I tried the splitscreen on PS4 myself. Although I find the feature good and practical, and the sound is not affected, there are still a few things that do not work as I would like:
The quality is a bit worse and the game does not run as smoothly (the FPS are divided: 30 FPS per player)
The emotes do not work. I would have found that particularly cool and it was a shame that it doesn’t work (hopefully just a bug)
Does splitscreen work on PC and Nintendo Switch?
An additional drawback is that splitscreen is currently only available on the PS4 and Xbox One consoles. You cannot start a splitscreen on your PC or Nintendo Switch.
As the feature is still in the testing phase, this could still be added so that you can access it on other devices.
What do you think? How do you find the splitscreen feature in Fortnite?
Today the German Video Game Award ceremony took place. We will tell you which games and developers won the awards.
What is this award? The German Video Game Award has been honoring the best games and developers from the German gaming industry since 2009. They receive awards in the form of large cash prizes or honorary titles, with selection criteria including gameplay, artistic quality, innovation, or the educational value of the games.
This is how the award ceremony went: This year’s honors for the winners differed somewhat from previous ones. Due to the Corona epidemic, the awards were not presented during a gala in front of an audience, but in a live stream.
However, this did not diminish the joy of the winners. The show was hosted by our colleague Nino “Ninotaku” Kerl and Barbara Schöneberger.
The happy winners of the German Video Game Award
This is how the winners are determined: The procedure for determining the winners is divided into two steps. First, specialist juries with four members each discuss. Afterwards, the main jury takes over and determines the final winners.
In the case of the audience favorite, user votes determine the winners. From a long list of games, the winner was also chosen by you this year.
Here are the winners who received the prize money and honors.

Webedia Gaming supports the German Video Game Award as a media partner. The nominees are determined by a specialist jury, which also includes GamePro editor-in-chief Rae Grimm. In a media partnership, two companies agree to promote each other. Typically, no money is exchanged; rather, it is about benefiting from each other’s strengths.

The long-awaited PS4 adventure The Last of Us Part II has been postponed indefinitely. Originally, the release was planned for May 29, 2020. However, the date will not be kept due to the coronavirus. According to the developer Naughty Dog, the game is almost finished. Now Sony has announced the official date for the game.
Update 27.04.2020: Sony has now officially announced the new release date for The Last of Us Part II (via blog.us.playstation.com). Now we finally know when the game will officially be released for PlayStation 4:
The new release date for “The Last of Us Part II” is June 19, 2020.
For Ghost of Tsushima, the release date has also been announced simultaneously. The game will follow a bit later on July 17, 2020.
Original message:
What did Sony announce? In a brief statement, Sony shared via the PlayStation Twitter account that both games The Last of Us Part II and Marvel’s Iron Man VR are being postponed indefinitely.
The reason given was the global crisis that currently prevents both titles from providing the experience that players deserve.

What do we know about the postponement? The website Kotaku reports that the developer Naughty Dog is said to have nearly completed the post-apocalyptic The Last of Us II.
So the reason for the delay lies with Sony and could, according to Kotaku, have logistical and economic reasons.
A scene from the trailer for The Last of Us Part II that garnered a lot of attention.
This is what Naughty Dog says: Meanwhile, the developers Naughty Dog have spoken out about Twitter .
It is said that they are almost finished with the development of The Last of Us Part 2 and are in the process of eliminating the last bugs.
The postponement is due to logistical problems. They want to ensure that everyone can play The Last of Us Part II at the same time. That is currently not guaranteed.
Therefore, they are delaying the game until the logistical issues are resolved.
They are a bit discouraged by this decision but believe that it is ultimately the best and fairest solution for all players. The team hopes that the delay of Last of Us Part 2 does not take too long and that they will soon have new information to share with the players.
Why is this annoying? The Last of Us Part II is a highly anticipated title. For many players, the predecessor was a real highlight among all the games released for PlayStation.
The game was very successful and even has its own series. Accordingly, the anticipation for the sequel was huge.
Much understanding for the delay of Last of Us Part II
This is how players react to the delay of Last of Us Part II: Sony’s tweet quickly received nearly a thousand comments. Reactions varied, but were mostly positive:
some remark that it is a “delayed, cruel April Fools’ joke”
many show their understanding for the postponement due to current circumstances
some mention that this is the next painful delay after Cyberpunk 2077
but there are also some who are optimistic: Last of Us Part II will be worth the wait
Sony writes in another tweet that apart from the two mentioned titles, no further delays are currently planned. Players will be kept updated via tweets should such changes occur.
In Pokémon GO, a new Remote Raid Pass was introduced today, April 27. With this, you can finally participate in raids without having to leave your home.
What is this feature? In the Pokémon GO shop, there is currently a special box that you can buy for 1 coin. This box contains 3 Remote Raid Passes, which allow you to complete raids in your vicinity.
This feature has been desired multiple times since the restrictions caused by the coronavirus and has already appeared in leaks.

Who can use the passes? Initially, the new feature was only available to players at level 40. Gradually, the level requirements were lowered and finally reached level 5.
What is the range? With the new pass, you can interact with all raids that are in the Nearby list. You do not have to walk to the corresponding location.
However, you cannot access raids that are further away than your displayed range.
With the pass, you can tackle all raids that are in your vicinity.
What other limitations are there? Those participating in a raid from a distance will deal reduced damage with their Pokémon. At the beginning of the feature, this limitation should not apply yet. It will be introduced over time.
Additionally, only a limited number of players can be in the raid lobby from a distance.
Are there further changes for playing from home? To allow you to play even more effectively from home in the future, further changes are planned, including new field research tasks that can be completed without visiting PokéStops.
In Destiny 2 , Bungie has admitted that there is a cheating problem that has significantly increased. A key measure Bungie is presenting is that players who play with cheaters will also be banned. Much else remains secret.
Bungie had announced that they would talk about cheating. Now the statements are here, but they fall a bit short. Bungie does not mention essential points of their strategy – for fear of revealing too much to the cheaters.
Currently, 2133 players are banned per week; before Season 10, it was only 656
most cheating comes from PC, which is particularly susceptible to “Memory-Poke” attacks.
If you are pulled to the lighthouse, you will be banned – if a cheater is pulling you.
If you are pulled by a cheater, you will be banned
This is the clear measure Bungie plans: From now on, Bungie says they want to ban or restrict players who benefit from cheaters, even if they do not cheat themselves.
This applies to both people who play with cheaters and those who let themselves be pulled by a cheater, either when playing with him or by giving him their own account.
Anyone who “rides flawlessly in the Trials” with a cheater will be banned.
These are the secret measures Bungie is planning: The somewhat unsatisfactory part of the blog post is a series of points that Bungie is working on, but they do not want to say anything about. They want the players to know that they are working on it.
They do not say anything about aimbots or wallhacks. Because they do not want to give the cheaters an advantage.
“Additional initiatives will not be discussed publicly”
Another “secret measure” that Bungie is planning is mentioned but is immediately “censored”; it is too secret to be discussed publicly.
Bungie also states that for those who have previously criticized that the cheating problem has become larger since Destiny 2 moved to Steam instead of Battle.net, they can be reassured that Bungie regularly talks with the Steam security team to address the issues.
Furthermore, Bungie assures that they will give cheating a higher priority and assign more employees to the issue.
What this is about: The post from Bungie reads as previous posts on the topic of “cheating.” Bungie says they are working on it, but they don’t go into too much detail for fear of losing an informational advantage.
