The latest patch for Dead by Daylight has broken a lot of things. Players are angry – the developers apologize.
Players of Dead by Daylight have become accustomed to each new chapter and patch bringing a few new bugs into the game. However, the chapter “A Binding of Kin,” which introduced the new killer “The Twins”, set new standards – unfortunately in a negative way. The developers responded with a comprehensive hotfix and reached out to their players. They apologized for the many bugs and tried to explain why the patch went live at all.
What was said? In an official blog post by the developers, there was a long apology that mainly addressed the question of “why?” It stated in part:
This chapter was one of the most ambitious to date. The Twins are a very complex killer since they actually function like two standalone killers. While we push the boundaries of what we can do with our new characters, it unfortunately also brings forth new problems that need to be fixed before release.
Later, they addressed why the release was not postponed since many bugs had already been found on the PTB (Public Test Build). The community had warned against an early release at that time.
To address the elephant in the room: “Why wasn’t the update postponed in this case?” That is always a very difficult decision. Postponing would give us some much-needed time to fix bugs reported on the PTB, but on the other hand, the feedback we get from the release is invaluable.
The live release gives us visibility on other platforms and the amount of feedback and reports we receive from live play makes it much easier to identify, trace, reproduce, and then fix bugs. With the upcoming holiday season, we wanted to ensure that we still have enough space for bug fix patches – the last thing we want is a major release at the last minute, leaving the game potentially in a critical state over the holidays.

Cold War: Krig 6 – Setups with high stability for strong headshots
The Krig 6 takes it rather easy in Cold War. Even without attachments, it is very easy to control, but suffers in TTK. With attachments, the weapon becomes so precise that you hardly have to make any adjustments to stay on target.
This makes it an optimal rifle for headshots, and this is where the weapon’s greatest strength lies. With just one headshot hit, you can reduce the number of bullets for a kill directly from 5 to 4, lowering the TTK to a very good value of 276 ms. Without headshots, it reaches 368 ms. The XM4 achieves 332 ms here but needs 3 headshots in the first damage range to save a bullet.

At times, Destiny 2 now feels like a completely new game or at least a completely new experience – especially in PvP. I really had to get used to it for quite a while – perhaps due to the 120 FPS.
What was already noticeably better compared to the PS4 Pro: the loading times. These have reportedly improved significantly with the upgrade and are now even shorter. For example: I went from the PS5 main menu to the ETZ on Earth in just under 90 seconds. The only negative so far – but that is highly subjective: When adjusting the FoV angle, my excitement did hit a limit. Because I still haven’t found the right value for me beyond the standard 75 degrees and almost had a crisis with every setting because it felt so unusual in conjunction with all the other new features.
