Bungie added new mods in Destiny 2 with the new season that can be unlocked through the Seasonal Artifact. A certain mod could change everything in the endgame again. We at MeinMMO show you which artifact mod that is.

What are Seasonal Mods? These special mods are included in the seasonal artifact and can be unlocked by collecting XP. The difference from regular mods is that they are specifically designed for certain builds, making it easier to tackle the endgame and giving you advantages that definitely help you in Destiny 2.

This is what the new mod can do: Guardians who played with “Breach and Clear” in the last season will love the new mod “Particle Deconstruction” for the artifact “Pathfinder’s Compass”.

This mod increases your damage when you deal damage to the same target with a fusion rifle. This damage buff can be stacked 5 times and results in a massive increase in damage.

But that’s not all. This mod also has a debuffing effect. Shots with your fusion rifle weaken the target. Thus, it becomes more vulnerable to damage and also receives the damage buff of the mod itself.

According to KackisHD, the stacking buff for fusion rifles applies to everyone in the fireteam. So if one of your teammates shoots a boss with a fusion rifle, he can stack the damage buff up to 5 times, ensuring that the rest of the fireteam benefits from the maximum buff.

The weapons work very well with the mod:

• Vex Mythoclast
• Sleeper Simulant
• One Thousand Voices
• Needle’s Eye
• Inexorable
• Merciless

Here’s how you can effectively use the mod: If you have a good fusion rifle in the special slot, use it and first ensure the stacked buff.

You can combine Merciless with Needle’s Eye, for example. If you have a roll with auto-loading holster and vorpal weapon, all the better. You shoot your Merciless at the boss, get the necessary stackable buff, and then switch to Needle’s Eye and hit it with everything you’ve got. This way, you can achieve maximum damage.

Fusion rifles could become the meta in PvE

This is the hint given by the new mod: It is becoming apparent that in Season 15 of Destiny 2, fusion rifles could define the endgame. Right now, it seems like fusion rifles will be the new meta weapons in PvE. But not just regular ones, but also linear fusion rifles.

This is evident from the new mod “Particle Deconstruction” and the Update 3.3.0: The update and mod favor fusion rifle types with a damage increase of 15%.

In Destiny 2, the quest “On the Trail of the Stars 2” is now available. Here you will find out how to quickly find the hidden Atlas pictures to master the weekly quest.

How to start “On the Trail of the Stars 2”: This is a weekly quest series that you can always continue at the Weekly Reset. Fly to the H.E.L.M., then walk into the right H.E.L.M. wing and interact with the Pathfinder compass. Now take on the quest “On the Trail of the Stars 2”.

The quest does not start automatically at the weekly reset – you have to actively pick it up!

Then pass through the portal next to the Pathfinder compass to speak with Mara Sov. She tells you that new Atlas pictures have appeared that you should now search for. However, she does not give you the exact locations, only vague information.

Here we will now show you how to quickly find the Atlas pictures this week.

Locations of all Atlas pictures from On the Trail of the Stars 2

How to get to “Shore – Upward Statue”: All Atlas pictures are located in the Dreaming City. Travel to the spawn point in the Divalian Mists and go straight until you reach the area “The Shore”. Now follow the path to the left and stop at the spot from where you can jump onto the large statue. The Atlas picture is located on the statue that is right at the starting point of the public event in the Shore. In the screenshot, you can find the location marked by the green arrow; further down there is a video embedded that shows the exact location:

How to get to “Shore – Pavilion Statue”: Continue to the pavilion where Petra Venj sometimes stands. To get there, cross the bridge and keep left. Pass by the pavilion, climb up the rock to the left, and continue straight. Now you should spot the Atlas picture in front of you.

How to get to “Aphél’s Fire Basin”: It’s best to pick up this Atlas picture now since it is near the previous one. Jump down from the pavilion hill and enter the Lost Sector “Aphél’s Resting Place”. The Atlas picture is located in the “Boss Area” directly behind the gravestone.

How to get to “Garden – Waterfall”: Fly back to the spawn area and go back to “The Shore”. But this time go immediately to the right. The path leads you into the gardens. In the gardens, there is a small waterfall at the back right. Here is the Atlas picture.

How to get to “Garden – Bridge Tree”: From the previous Atlas picture, it’s only a few seconds to this one. Go left from the waterfall, keep right, and fly to the bridge. The bridge leads you to a tree. In front of it stands the Atlas picture.

What are Atlas pictures actually used for?

This is the purpose behind the Atlas pictures: Mara Sov sends you on a quest for a weapon that is not easy to find. You must first gather Atlas pictures to reach a gatehouse, the “Caliburn Gatehouse”. This gatehouse is a piece of the Dreaming City that has been torn from reality and hangs in the Ley Lines. It is neither in this reality nor in the Ascendant Realm – but somewhere in between. And this “somewhere in between” is the Ley Lines.

By the way, it was Uldren Sov, Mara’s brother, who supposedly “lost” the Atlas pictures.

Once you have all the Atlas pictures, the Caliburn Gatehouse will lead you to the Dozmary Chamber. There you will probably find the weapon that Mara Sov wants for us.

Why is this a weekly quest? The annoying thing about the Atlas pictures is that not all are immediately available; they gradually appear in the Dreaming City. Mara Sov will notify you as soon as new ones are available. One can probably not lean too far out of the window when predicting: This will likely be with the next Weekly Reset with the quest “On the Trail of the Stars 3”.

Destiny 2 brings good leveling opportunities and finally fresh loot shortly after the launch of the new Season 15 with Iron Banner. The quests around Mara and Savathûn in the Dreaming City will continue.

What’s going on in Destiny 2? The Guardians are just getting used to the new Season 15 – the Season of the Lost. You should take a quick trip to the Dreaming City and advance the seasonal quest “Wayfinder’s Journey.”

This week you can complete a few more quest tasks, but with the needed 53 steps, there will likely be several resets before you receive the new exotic Pulse Rifle as a reward. Mara and/or Savathûn will also send you on a new adventure in the Shattered Realm – level your Wayfinder Compass and keep your eyes peeled for secrets.

This week you will find Lord Saladin in the Tower, announcing the first Iron Banner event of the season. The PvP event takes place until the next reset, providing a great opportunity to quickly increase your power level. Don’t forget the 4 bounties with great loot.

What’s new in the Iron Banner of Season 15?

• A complete armor set for Hunters, Titans, and Warlocks (in the title image) – the set even offers a loot bonus
• The Pulse Rifle “The Forgemaster’s Oath” (390) and the Stasis Hand Cannon “Peace Bond” (491 – Salvo)
• The quest “For the Impending War” – You will receive guaranteed pieces of the new gear

In line with the Iron Banner, this week you will receive faster progress for Crucible ranks from Lord Shaxx. Use this to quickly grind the new Ritual Weapon of the season.

The key information about activities from August 31 to September 7.

The Nightfall: The Ordeal mission stands

• See the Shadows – that’s the short strike in the EDZ
• In the Nightfall loot pool, there are always 2 weapons per week this season

Playlist Strikes have these modifiers:

• Void Burn
• Solar Thermal Exchange
• Grounded

You know that the burn modifier stays the same throughout the week, while the other two change every day.

Where are my tokens? If you are wondering, Zavala was updated for Season 15, erasing all Vanguard tokens in the process.

In the raid “Glass Chamber” the following happens:

• In the Glass Chamber, the second raid challenge “The Only Oracle for You” is waiting. For this, you must never kill the same oracle twice during the oracle phase—so switch positions in the encounter after each round.
• The reward in Challenge Mode is the Time-Lost weapon “Praedyth’s Revenge“. The weapon will come with 2 perks per slot as guaranteed.
