In Destiny 2, the weekly reset is approaching, and that means it’s time for a new part of the seasonal Season 21 story and the reset of weekly activities. MeinMMO gives you an overview as always.
This is happening this week: With the weekly reset in Destiny 2, Guardians can expect another and especially new piece of story of the seasonal story in week 3.
This week, Guardians will face Kelgorath, and to do this, they will have to dive deep into the quest “In the Depths” to extract further information about the Witness’s past from Sloane.
Some Guardians are also still hoping for an exotic quest that was leaked beforehand. It is said to bring the last undiscovered Exo weapon of Season 21, supposedly a scout rifle, into the game. However, rumors say that Bungie plans to reveal this only in week 10. If not, the leak was just smoke and mirrors.
If you are not familiar with Season 21 yet, check out the current trailer here:

Rod Fergusson explained in an interview why Diablo 4 approaches things very differently than its predecessor Diablo 3 and that is why there is already a lot of content in the pipeline.
When Diablo 3 was released in 2012, service games were still in their infancy. Many games relied on expansions back then, not on live seasons and certainly not on free additional content.
Nevertheless, Diablo 3 was something of a pioneer in terms of seasons. Every few months, there were new mechanics to keep the gameplay fresh and give players a reason to play a new character in the new season. They made it until Season 28, but now it’s over.
However, Rod Fergusson, General Manager of the Diablo franchise, said in an interview with the YouTube channel “Kinda Funny Games” that more should have been done to provide decent content and innovations over the 11 years of Diablo 3 – the biggest problem of its predecessor, which had to get by with just one expansion over all those years.
They have adapted to this and are taking a completely different course with Diablo 4.
Diablo 4 had some worshippers praying to Lilith in Berlin at its release. We were there, check it out in the short video:
Start video
Diablo 4: The Live Event for the Release in Berlin – Younger Worship Lilith
What is different about Diablo 4? They wanted to create something that lasts a long time and continually benefits from new content. For this, they set up the development team quite differently and also had different expectations of themselves: “The release of Diablo 4 is not the end, it’s the beginning,” says Fergusson.
They want to offer many years of seasons, with each one offering more than the times of Diablo 3. In addition, expansions are also part of the fixed program of Diablo 4. Therefore, the team and the structures had to be designed accordingly:
If you make a game like [Diablo 4], you have to make it sustainable. You can’t push the team and say that once the release is through, it’s like a finish line and everyone collapses exhausted.
Because you know what: We have a season coming soon, we have the Week-2 patch in the works, we need balance changes – you have to build your team and structure so that it’s sustainable, because we have to deliver all the time.
We are working on things in parallel. While I sit here, we are bringing the main game to market, we are finishing Season 1, we are working on Season 2, we are working on Expansion 1, we’re starting on Expansion 2. All of this is happening right now.
The interview does not provide information about future content – only a brief statement about the legendary cow level. However, it is already clear that two expansions are apparently in the works, surpassing Diablo 3 directly.
You can watch the entire English interview on the YouTube channel of Kinda Funny Games (via youtube.com).
Despite the 11 years since the release of Diablo 3, the game still had a lot of fans who can no longer expect innovations after the end of Season 28. It remains to be seen whether Diablo 4 can close this gap. What do you think?
ARK: Survival Evolved has a new creature that players can leverage to their advantage. It is a beetle that can even carry a T-Rex.
What kind of beetle is this? On June 2nd, ARK: Survival Evolved added a new creature, the Rhyniognatha. This is an extinct beetle that belonged to the class of arthropods and can be found on the maps “The Island” and “Lost Island”.
As an omnivore, the giant insect in ARK feeds on both meat and berries, but cannot be tamed through feeding. Instead, a wild Rhyniognatha fertilizes one of your dinos, such as a Giganotosaurus, which later dies at the birth of the beetle.
You can adopt and imprint the newborn insect like a bred creature.
What can the beetle do? The Rhyniognatha brings a wide range of abilities that players can utilize in their struggle for survival.
Particularly useful is the beetle’s mobility. It can not only walk but also fly and carry up to two players on a saddle. The Rhyniognatha can also land on water and, for example, regenerate stamina there. Diving is also possible with the insect.
Furthermore, the Rhyniognatha is capable of carrying heavy objects and creatures and flying them to another location. Besides a safe, a tree platform, or even an industrial smelter, the giant beetle can also haul larger dinos. This cool beetle is thus the only creature in the game that can carry, for example, a Tyrannosaurus Rex and a Diplodocus.
Additionally, the Rhyniognatha possesses:
the ability to shoot a resin shot at other beings that inflicts damage and immobilizes the victim after a certain number of hits
a type of armor made from resin that surrounds its own body
a roar that scares and drives away other creatures
We are embedding the trailer for the Rhyniognatha here:

“The best Sky-Mount in ARK”
What do players think of the beetle? Many players agree that the Rhyniognatha is truly strong due to its multitude of useful abilities, perhaps too strong (via YouTube):
peterstoric6560: “Damn, they just casually created something that looks like the most overpowered creature in the game.”
Siturba: “Game designer: How strong should this beetle be? Wildcard: Godlike.”
cgdino9040: “This will be the best Sky-Mount in ARK.”
How strong the Rhyniognatha really is will be revealed in the coming weeks. Perhaps the beetle will even be a candidate for our list of the 10 best dinos in ARK.

A gamer is having his broken graphics card replaced. In return, he receives not only a significantly faster model but also a code for Diablo 4, which you would normally pay 70 euros for.
A broken graphics card is always annoying, as the GPU is often the most expensive component of a gaming PC.
However, one user recently had luck in misfortune. The seller from whom he bought the old graphics card not only offered him a faster model at no extra cost but also included a game code for Diablo 4. After all, it wasn’t Diablo 4 that destroyed his graphics card.

Diablo 4 Beta: Performance and fun are on point, but important questions remain unanswered – The conclusion of the MeinMMO editorial team
High Corona prices help with free upgrade
In a post, the player explained how it happened (via reddit.com). His graphics card had broken down, and he contacted his seller. Initially, he wanted to send him the same graphics card again, but apparently did not have it in stock anymore.
Instead, he was offered an RTX 3070 from another manufacturer. The user explained that he had bought his graphics card during COVID and paid nearly 700 euros. He then asked the seller if they could send him an RTX 4070 as a replacement. Currently, it also costs between 600 and 700 euros in Germany (via geizhals.de).
The seller agreed and also included a code for Diablo 4 as a gesture of goodwill. Currently, Nvidia and Blizzard are running a promotion: with every sold RTX 4000 series card, you get a Diablo code.
He confirms his entire story with a screenshot from the email exchange with the seller.
How does the community react? Very positively. Many praise the seller and say that this attitude is what good customer support is called. Not only is the graphics card exchanged, but a game code is also included, although he really didn’t have to do that. As someone writes: “If the dealer offers you a free upgrade when the card is defective, then that isn’t your dealer, but a buddy.”
How do you even notice that the graphics card is broken?
Why a graphics card breaks can have various reasons:
Poor maintenance.
Below average cooling.
Subpar manufacturing.
Or simply the old age of the graphics card.
In fact, there are many signs that your graphics card might die soon. If you experience regular graphical issues (so-called glitches and artifacts) that none of your friends have in the current game, you should first update your software.
If the errors persist and the graphics card also makes strange noises, you should take a closer look at the GPU.
Regular blue screens are also a sad indicator that your graphics card might not last much longer.
And before you go out and buy an expensive RTX 4000 graphics card: Many gamers still play with years-old graphics cards, and for many, that is still completely sufficient:
Bungie new IP “Matter” could be the successor to Destiny 2. The 3rd-person action game, which heavily focuses on PvP battles and esports, is colorful and sounds like Overwatch with Destiny heroes. MeinMMO takes a look at what we know so far about Bungie’s new IP.
Which new game is it about? Bungie is known for developing iconic titles such as Halo, Marathon, Myth, Oni, and Destiny 1 and 2.
During the PlayStation Showcase on May 24, 2023, Bungie caused a big stir when it recently revealed new information about the new IP “Marathon”. This is an extraction shooter focused on PvP in a sci-fi universe.
However, the AAA developer from Seattle has another project in the works and is concurrently developing a second IP currently referred to as “Matter” alongside Destiny 2 and Marathon.
“Matter” is likely a multiplatform 3rd-person action game with multiplayer levels.
It is said to focus heavily on PvP battles and the esports landscape.
There was talk of “lighthearted and quirky characters”and live service.
For development, the Unreal Engine 5 seems to be used, asthe Tiger Engine was mainly developed for first-person shooter games like Destiny 2.

Destiny 2: Teaser trailer for the DLC “The Final Form”
After all, it is known that after the current DLC “Lightfall”, there is only one expansion left for Destiny 2. It will conclude the Light and Darkness saga of the loot shooter in 2024 with the expansion “The Final Shape”, which, according to Bungie, will have a “dramatic conclusion”.
However, this will not be the end of Destiny, as Bungie has repeatedly emphasized.
Narrative Director Adam Grantham of Bungie revealed that the expansion “The Final Shape”, like “Lightfall”, will not answer all questions in the current storyline of Destiny 2. “We want to keep some secrets alive”.
Secrets that they might use as cliffhangers in the new game?
Destiny Universe as a hero-based action shooter: It has already been speculated that “Matter” could be a character-driven action hero shooter experience, similar to Overwatch, Valorant, or Apex, directly connecting to the Destiny saga.
Destiny has a wealth of outstanding good and evil characters, which have been continuously developed by the developer over the past 7 years with extensive stories.
Bungie also appointed developer Joseph Ziegler as Game Director. He has an impressive background for the highly successful competitive first-person shooter Valorant from Riot Games.
Additionally, they hired Jordan Patz, the former Design Director for Respawn’s Apex Legends Mobile, as Game Director for an undisclosed project.
What are Overwatch and Valorant as games?
Both Overwatch and Valorant are known for their competitive gameplay, team-based mechanics, and strong focus on multiplayer interactions.
Overwatch is a team-based first-person shooter from Blizzard Entertainment. The game combines elements from various genres such as first-person shooter and multiplayer online battle arena. Players choose from a variety of heroes with unique abilities and fight in teams for objectives and control over the battlefield.
In Valorant from Riot Games, players also select from several agents with different abilities and then fight in teams to achieve objectives or eliminate opposing players.
Not enough is known yet: The fact is that Bungie will venture into the character-driven genre. While speculations hint at a possible connection to Destiny, it is still too early to make definitive statements about it. It is likely something new and therefore not or only indirectly connected to the Destiny Universe.
At least a few initial announcements hinted at this:

However, it could also just be a placeholder image. The “lighthearted and quirky characters” sound more like a new, creative vision from Bungie, as they venture into uncharted territories, such as a “comedic atmosphere”.
The 3rd-person perspective is not completely alien to Bungie, but it has been a while since they last used it. With Oni, the developer already had a 3rd-person shooter featuring melee techniques in an anime-like style back in 2001.
This would also fit well with Bungie’s own statement: “The future of Bungie games is more diverse than ever.”
When is “Matter” supposed to be released? In an interview with 4Gamer, Design Director Jacob Benton stated that Bungie apparently has its sights set on releasing “Matter” in 2025. This coincides with the narrative “restart” of Destiny.
Whether “Matter” ultimately represents a direct continuation of Destiny 2 or a standalone IP with new creative visions remains to be seen. However, Bungie seems ready to venture into unknown terrain, or better yet, into unknown “matter” in order to push the boundaries of its expertise.
We are excited for more details on “Matter” and invite you to share your thoughts and speculations in the comments. What are your expectations for Bungie’s new game? Do you believe Bungie can achieve the success of Destiny 2 with it?
Perhaps Bungie might even find itself competing with Matter – something that many other games have never managed:
In Pokémon GO celebrated the Water Festival with the debut of the sand pile Pokémon Sandygast, known as Sankabuh in German, in the game. We from MeinMMO will show you how to find and evolve this little monster in the coming days.
Which Pokémon is it about? Currently, the Water Festival is taking place in Pokémon GO. In addition to many familiar faces like Shellder and Staryu, you can also meet the sand pile Pokémon Sankabuh for the first time.
We have summarized what kind of monster it is, where you can find it in the coming days, and everything about its evolution below.
How long does the event last? The Water Festival started today, on 06/06/2023, at 10:00 AM local time and will run until June 12, 2023, at 8:00 PM local time.
What kind of Pokémon is Sankabuh?
This is Sankabuh: Sankabuh is a Ghost and Ground-type Pokémon from the 7th generation of games. Visually, it resembles a light sand pile with a small red shovel stuck in its top.
It also has a small pair of eyes and a big hole resembling a mouth. Due to this distinctive appearance, Sankabuh is referred to as the sand pile Pokémon.
Sankabuh and its evolution Colossand
Sankabuh can be evolved into Colossand with the help of 50 candies. Unlike its pre-evolution, this one resembles a sandcastle. It has two small towers that it uses as arms, its mouth now resembles a castle gate, and its eyes look like small windows.
On the top, Colossand is decorated again with the red shovel and is also adorned with colorful shells on its body. Overall, its body is somewhat yellower than that of Sankabuh.
Is there shiny Sankabuh? No! Currently, there is no shiny form of Sankabuh available in the game. If it ever becomes available, you will recognize it by its black body and a yellow shovel.
Unlike most other monsters, Sankabuh cannot currently be found in the wild. However, during the Water Festival, you have the following opportunities to obtain the new Pokémon (via leekduck.com):
Raids: Sankabuh will currently be found in level 1 raids. There you can battle the monster and catch it after the fight. The raid is very easy and can be done alone by a trainer without any problems.
Timed Research: You can also obtain another Sankabuh from the timed research “Water Festival: Beach Week”, which can be purchased for 6 Euro during the event. So, if you buy the research anyway, you can look forward to an additional encounter with the sand pile Pokémon.
Field Research: If you want more specimens and maybe don’t want to do raids, you can also look for the event field research “Water Festival: Catch 25 Water-type Pokémon.” Sankabuh is also hidden behind this. Since Water-type Pokémon are currently spawning at almost every corner, solving it shouldn’t be a problem.
To get the research, you just need to spin the photo disks at PokéStops. However, which quest you receive is random. You can see them afterwards in your field view, which you can access by clicking on the binoculars.
This is how strong it is: Sankabuh is among the Pokémon in Pokémon GO that are not particularly strong and therefore do not play a role in the GO Battle League or in raids. And even its evolution Colossand is only slightly better. While it has a good ground moveset, its poor stats in battle make it not particularly strong and easily defeated (via gamepress.gg).
Pokémon GO: The strongest attackers of all types in the video
Is it worth it at all? Currently, Sankabuh is mainly interesting for collecting for the Pokédex. Since there is still no shiny variant of the Ghost and Ground-type Pokémon, shiny hunters are still out of luck for the time being. However, this will change with its debut. When that will be remains to be seen.
How do you like the new Pokémon from the 7th generation of games? Have you already secured one? Or are you more interested in other monsters? Feel free to let us know here on MeinMMO in the comments.
In total, 5 hardcore players are now known to have reached Level 100 (via d4race.com / as of: 06.06. – 10:30 AM). Among them is also the renowned Diablo expert ‘wudijo’, who was the first player to reach Level 100 solo in hardcore mode.
You can watch the ‘legendary’ moment when cArn_ breaks through the level barrier here in the Twitch clip:

cArn_ then also draws a short conclusion with his teammates: ‘It wasn’t easy, but it was fun.’ Similar to the first softcore player to reach 100, this group also played the dungeon ‘Downfall of the Champion’ from top to bottom.
After the milestone, cArn_ makes it clear with an exclamation that it was quite exhausting to grind through the last days since the release in early access: ‘I’m free,’ he says. Only to then joke: ‘Straight back to the second one?’
After that, he casually plays for another 5 hours with his group in Diablo 4, almost completing 24 hours of streaming. In the end, he clocked 23:30 hours and his entire 4-man team has reached Level 100 in hardcore mode.
Like the first player to reach Level 100, cArn_ also played a Whirlwind Barbarian. This build was considered the best in the game shortly after release.
However, there has already been a patch with adjustments for all classes. If you want to browse through our class tier list a bit, check it out here: Diablo 4 Tier List – Best Classes at Release

Christoph Hartmann joined Amazon Games in 2018. Since then, he claims to have improved a lot at the studio. MeinMMO editor Alexander Leitsch agrees with this statement and is therefore very optimistic about the new MMORPG based on The Lord of the Rings.
The German manager Christoph Hartmann has been working in the gaming industry since 1995 and was initially part of the team that created Grand Theft Auto. He worked for the publisher Take-Two, founded the studio 2K Games, and has been Vice President at Amazon Games since the summer of 2018.
Amazon has tried to establish itself in games, and I think they have approached the topic more like a tech company rather than a gaming or entertainment company.
When they brought me in for the first time, with a lot of experience and knowledge about the gaming industry, and when they gave us the room to breathe that we needed, it got better.
When I read this statement, I instinctively nodded my head. I noticed this especially with Breakaway and Crucible. They wanted to bring innovation, but mainly in genres that were currently dying out. Both games were clean in terms of content, but they lacked a uniqueness. New World would have probably fallen into the same trap if they had stuck with the original concept.
But since 2019, I have experienced a noticeable turnaround. It fits that the team from New World is working on the new MMORPG.
Who is speaking here? Alex is the MMORPG expert at MeinMMO. He started in 2005 with Rakion, Guild Wars 1, and Ragnarok Online, and now he mainly plays Guild Wars 2, ESO, and New World. In the latter, he has spent over 1,000 hours.
New World changed direction late, but it was the right move
You can see this turnaround most strongly in New World. It was initially intended to be a survival MMO, with a strong focus on PvP. Then it would have had to compete for player numbers on Steam with titles like Rust, DayZ, or Last Oasis. Instead, in 2019, they decided on a radical course change, focusing suddenly on dungeons and even on raids starting July 2023, and made PvP optional.
However, none of the mentioned games came even close to the peak numbers of New World. The biggest competitor here is ARK: Survival Evolved – with 248,405 concurrent players on Steam, excluding the console version. New World had 913,634 PC players at launch.
I myself spent many hours in New World in 2019, even before it announced its pivot to PvE, and I assure you: The MMO did not have the level of Rust or ARK and would have died just as quickly as Crucible. The weapons had no abilities at all, the walls of captureable fortresses could be stacked, and the combat system was even clunkier.
A little insight can be seen in this old video of mine:
Start video
New World: Die ersten Schritte in der ursprünglichen Version
Of course, New World released too early as a PvE game. The MMORPG would have needed a good 12 months to develop a meaningful gear system for endgame, implement more content, and especially to focus more on bug hunting.
However, the fundamental decision to switch from a PvP to a PvE game was a huge success. I also count the marketing campaign and the use of Twitch, which have created the hype around New World.
And everything that happened afterward with the MMORPG was very positive:
There were regular and very important updates, including new dungeons, weapons, a clear gear structure, and a new endgame area
The MMORPG has had a clear course since 2022 that it follows
Additionally, the developers have started to communicate and discuss more openly. An adjustment that I, as a fan, very much welcome.
Amazon established dominance in MMORPGs, which benefits The Lord of the Rings
If you look at Amazon Games’ portfolio, the target audience becomes clear immediately. Initially, they relied on a colorful mix of hero shooters (Crucible), battle royales (Intensity), MOBAs (Nova), and a modified version of Rocket League (Breakaway), but now they are primarily focused on MMORPGs.
What I find most exciting is the MMORPG based on The Lord of the Rings, which is being developed by the New World team. Some have criticized this precisely because the game experienced such a rapid decline in player numbers. However, I find it brilliant:
The team has already gained experience with the release of a game and can better prepare for launch issues.
They know how to manage an MMORPG in live operation and can address issues like endgame problems more quickly and prioritize better.
They can flexibly shift manpower between the two games as necessary – such as for the release of a new expansion.
Moreover, much seems to indicate that this could also tackle the major criticism regarding development, such as through promotions in the career ladder in the other game or more flexible deployment options. However, that is just speculation on my part.
It also benefits the studio that Michael Frazzini stepped down in 2022. He started his career in 2003 at Amazon in the book department and had also been Vice President of the Games division until 2022. However, under him, many games and ongoing developments were interrupted and an insider report stated that he allegedly had no knowledge of gaming.
For me, it seems that a course correction has taken place at Amazon Games in recent years – also thanks to Hartmann. He gives me a positive feeling for the upcoming MMORPG and also for the future of New World.
Of course, The Lord of the Rings must differ significantly from New World, especially regarding server structure or the design of the open world. There is no guarantee that the development team will succeed. But after the last nearly 1.5 years, I trust them to do it.
What do you think about the development of Amazon Games? Are they the right studio for the next MMORPG hit?
League of Legends has produced many iconic champions, whether through their appearance or their playstyle. One of the most important champions is the ADC Jinx, and she was created by two newcomers.
Who is Jinx? Jinx was released in League of Legends in 2013 and holds the ADC role. She quickly gained popularity and was also the first champion to receive a music video.
How was Jinx created? At Riot, there was a sort of bulletin board where employees could share their concepts for champions. The new illustrator Katie De Sousa posted a first concept drawing of Psycho Arsenal on this bulletin board.
An idea that later became Jinx.
This drawing was on the bulletin board at Riot for a while. The relatively new champion designer August Browning, who was working on the champion Vi (later Jinx’s sister), was so fascinated by this concept drawing that he and a small group wanted to realize Psycho Arsenal.
He always wanted to develop a weapon-switching champion inspired by Udyr.
August Browning and Katie De Sousa teamed up. Browning stated that he worked on Vi during the day and at night he, Katie De Sousa, and a few other employees worked on realizing Psycho Arsenal.
However, the original design was too generic for Katie De Sousa. Psycho Arsenal became smaller and her weapons grew larger. Jinx was born.
She wasn’t entirely like Udyr but still received some weapons. With her Q, she switches between a Gatling gun and a rocket launcher, her W is a small pistol, and with her E, she throws small grenades. With her ultimate, she fires a massive rocket across the entire map.
This is what the final design of Jinx looked like:
Jinx was the first champion to receive her own music video in 2013. According to August Browning, the Jinx in the music video is the perfect representation of Jinx.
After just one year, August as a new developer then released 2 champions. Vi was released at the end of 2012 and then her sister Jinx in October 2013.
With the release of Blizzard’s Diablo 4, certain prices in the MMORPG World of Warcraft are rising. The gold goblins in the auction houses are almost throwing their hands up in disbelief. But what is going on?
Which prices are rising in WoW? The auction houses of World of Warcraft are essential for many players. Not only because you can acquire powerful armor or cool mounts there. You don’t even have to manage your playtime through a subscription; you can use your WoW gold for that. With WoW tokens that are offered for gold, you can also extend your playtime.
It is precisely these tokens that have been massively increasing in value over the past few days. But why is Diablo 4 behind this?
You can buy Diablo 4 with WoW tokens
How does it work? The tokens (also known as WoW-brand) work in two directions:
You can buy them for €20 and then sell them in the auction house for gold
You buy them in-game for gold and can then exchange them on Battle.net for 30 days of playtime or €13 in credit
The gold price in the auction house varies depending on supply and demand. If the auction house is saturated with players offering WoW brands, then the price is lower compared to when only a few WoW brands are offered.
Those who currently possess a lot of gold in WoW can invest it in WoW brands and then exchange them at Blizzard for Battle.net credit. With this credit, you can purchase the full version of Diablo 4 from Blizzard, for example.
The price has risen drastically: Looking at the price development of the WoW brand, it is evident that it increased significantly during the release times of Diablo 4.
The website WoWTokenPrices looks at the daily price fluctuations of the WoW token depending on the region.
The development of token prices in the EU region – Source: WoWTokenPrices.com
The chart shows the peaks on June 2 (early launch of Diablo 4) and June 6 (release of Diablo 4).
Shortly before the release of Diablo 4 on June 6, the price of the WoW brand stabilized at around 350,000 gold. Today, on June 6, the peak reached 414,000 gold. An increase of about 64,000 gold. In the last 7 days, the lowest price was only 326,458 gold. This would compare to an increase of almost 90,000 gold.
How much would Diablo 4 cost with WoW gold? If you want to buy Diablo 4 with WoW gold, you need to invest quite a bit. A WoW token currently costs 414,000 gold and brings €13 in credit. The standard edition of Diablo 4 costs €69.99 on Battle.net. You would need to roughly sell 6 tokens for €13 to have enough credit for the standard edition. That amounts to 2,484,000 gold.
How does this price increase occur? One possible explanation is that many WoW players are currently using their gold to buy WoW brands and then exchanging them at Blizzard for credit. With this credit, they can purchase Diablo 4 without having to spend their “money”. They pay with the gold they earned from World of Warcraft.
Due to the release of Diablo 4, it seems that more players want to buy these WoW brands right now than before the release, when the price was quite stable at 340,000 gold or less.
The actor Elliot Page (36) was seen on Canadian television as a child and later became successful in the USA. In his memoir, he talks about his experiences as a queer person in Hollywood.
Who is Elliot Page? Elliot Page is a Canadian actor known for roles in X-Men, Juno, and the Netflix series Umbrella Academy. In 2020, he came out as trans. Until then, Page had lived as a lesbian woman since 2014.
In his memoir “Pageboy”, which was released today, June 6, the actor speaks about the realities of queer individuals (via Espinof).
Attention: This article discusses homophobia and threats of sexual violence.
Elliot Page’s coming out was integrated into the 3rd season of Umbrella Academy. In the first two seasons, he portrayed a female role.

“Famous Bastard at Party”
What did Elliot Page experience? In a chapter titled “Famous Bastard at Party”, Page recounts verbal assaults by a famous actor at a party, about two months after his coming out as a lesbian woman.
In an excerpt provided to People magazine, it states that it was an acquaintance of Page. This person reportedly confronted him about his homosexuality during a birthday party in 2014:
You are not homosexual. That doesn’t exist. You are just afraid of men. […] I will f*ck you so you understand that you are not homosexual.
A few days later, Page encountered the actor again in the gym. The actor assured him that he had no problem with homosexual people, to which Page reportedly replied: “I think you do.”
Why does Page share the story? The 36-year-old intentionally keeps the actor’s name a secret, yet it was important for him to talk about the incident. Because there have already been many such events in his life and the lives of many other queer individuals.
We often do not talk about these moments, or it is expected that we simply brush them off; however, it is actually pretty terrible. I included this story in my book because it is about showcasing the reality, the shit we have to deal with.
The actor in question will find out and know that he is meant, according to Page.
Despite everything, the Netflix star is not only focused on highlighting the negative sides but also on celebrating queer identities.
Because by now, Page seems to have found acceptance and is happy with his identity and being able to live it openly at last. In an interview with People magazine, he can hardly stop smiling: “I never expected to feel this way.”
In the USA, many anti-trans legislations are currently being created (via translegislation.com). There is also an increase in violence against people from the LGBTQIA+ community. (via gendergp.com).
As Page reports, there are recurring moments in environments that are primarily cis – meaning not trans – and heterosexual, similar to what happened to him – whether they are openly and extremely like the described incident or more subtle jokes.
This is particularly a problem in Hollywood, where some of those in charge have a lot of control over whose stories are told and seen by people around the world. Over the past few years, there have been repeated revelations and court proceedings due to abuse of power, sexual assaults, and other crimes.

Lilith is the antagonist in Diablo 4. But even though (or precisely because) she is the opponent, some players seem to feel attracted to her. A journalist therefore asked the crucial question to Blizzard: Can we ask Lilith out on a date?
What is the answer to the question? Game Director Joe Shely initially misunderstood the question. He thought the journalist was asking if it was possible to play as Lilith.
General Manager Rod Fergusson, on the other hand, burst into laughter. The short answer: No. (via pcgamesn.com)
But the two Blizzard employees understand where the feelings for Lilith come from. Lilith is not just a villain, but a character with a lot of depth. She doesn’t just kill people out of anger, but has her own motivation. This makes her even more humanized, which can be attractive to players:
By defining these supernatural powers with more human terms, we give players the opportunity to build a different relationship with them than just that of an antagonist.
Are you equally enchanted by Lilith’s beauty? Then you can admire the Daughter of Hatred in the following video:

Lilith and Inarius in a Dating Sim
Is a dating sim coming now? Fergusson smiles and explains that he will make a note that fans are interested in a dating sim for Diablo. He has heard the desire “loud and clear.”
And in fact, it wouldn’t be so unlikely: There was already a dating sim called LoverWatch for Blizzard’s hero shooter Overwatch, where we could date characters from Overwatch.
While the game had some cringeworthy dialogues and oversexualized depictions of the characters, it was probably the right alternative for fans of certain characters to the actual game.
More news about Diablo 4 can be found in the MeinMMO overview:
But we shouldn’t take Fergusson’s comment as an official confirmation. In Diablo 4, the characters have more depth than in previous installments of the series, but they are not as prominently featured as in Overwatch.

EA has announced a collaboration with Nike. They are apparently planning to bring products developed with the technology ‘NFT’ to sports game series like FIFA, NBA Live, and Madden. While magazines that deal with cryptocurrencies report kindly about the news, the international gaming press is fuming.
This is the announcement:
EA’s statement is vague (via EA). EA announces that they have entered into a new partnership with Nike to enhance and personalize the “virtual sports experience for fans worldwide.” They will find new ways to integrate SWOOSH, Nike’s new community experience.
They do not use the word “NFT” – instead, they avoid it.
They emphasize how creative and innovative all of this is.

“Big step for Nike and crypto-gaming”
How do crypto-media react?? The site cointelegraph describes the collaboration as “a big step for NFT” and crypto-gaming.
It is said: NIKE NFTs are expected to be customizable, wearable add-ons or digital clothing that players can purchase and wear.
Nike has already sold its first products, virtual sneakers named Our Force 1, 97,000 times.
“Thought we had bullied them out of mainstream gaming”
How do gaming sites report on the deal?
The NFT-critical site Kotaku mocks the deal. It is June 2023, not June 2021. NFTs are already totally dead – instead, everyone is now betting on AI.
They criticize Nike and EA, stating that it’s all just about money for them, with both companies known as “cash grabbers.” Kotaku celebrates that the word “NFT” does not appear in the announcement.
Also, at PC Gamer, they rub their eyes in disbelief. The site states that they have successfully “bullied NFTs out of mainstream gaming,” which is probably for the best for everyone.
“The kings of microtransactions are now doing NFTs”
How do players react? On Twitter, opinions on the topic are divided, just like in the magazines:
Crypto-friends also talk here about a “game-changer”
The majority of gamers, on the other hand, react negatively to cynically. It is pointed out that there are already many microtransactions in FIFA anyway. One user says: He simply sees no demand for NFTs in games.
What’s behind it: NFTs were considered by crypto-investors a few months ago as the new hot thing. With them, players were supposed to “actually own” “items.” They were supposed to be traded as unique collectible items and gain value.
Suddenly, NFT projects sprouted up everywhere. Some influencers like MontanaBlack also tried their hand at it, quickly promoting NFTs through deals, but burned their fingers.
Many gamers, on the other hand, have criticized NFTs from the beginning as superfluous and far too expensive. This only leads to less focus on the games themselves and more on their in-game shops. Moreover, there are significant doubts about the technical promises of NFTs.
This year, the Early Access of the coop survival action RPG Enshrouded should begin on Steam. To prepare for the upcoming release, the development team from Keen Games presents the most important gameplay mechanics in the trailer. The current video focuses on everything related to the combat of the PC game.
In Enshrouded, there are different types of weapons for combat. You can adapt the combat to your preferred play style. The following weapon categories will be available, among others:
Hammers
Axes
Wands
Staves
Bows
Bombs
These are just a few examples presented in the trailer. The heavy weapons, such as axes and hammers, feel a bit slower but deal more damage. The staves and wands can perform elemental attacks and consume the player’s mana.
The bow can be equipped with different types of arrows and is better suited for ranged combat. The same goes for bombs, as they should detonate from a distance rather than right beside you.
In another MeinMMO article, you can find general information about Enshrouded:
Are there options for defense? Players can also carry a shield with which they can block. However, this costs some stamina. Once it is depleted, blocking is no longer possible.
Alternatively, you can parry the opponents’ attacks. This creates the possibility of a “relentless” attack, which deals slightly more damage than regular ones.
By the way, weapons can either be crafted as base weapons from NPCs or found as legendary weapons in chests. Legendary weapons even have bonuses that can be unlocked when upgrading.

Multiple Options in Combat
What can I do if I prefer to attack from ambush? If you’re not the “go in swinging” type, you can enter combat in stealth mode. Simply sneak up on opponents and take them out from ambush.
Alternatively, like in Minecraft or Fortnite, it is possible to destroy the world with a pickaxe. This way, you can carve paths through the underground or come down on opponents from above before taking them out.
Speaking of coming from above: There is even a glider with which you can float through the air like a flying squirrel. This way, you can pounce on opponents unseen.
To be best prepared for the fight, cooking meals and crafting potions is extremely important. This gives you various advantages in combat.
Additionally, after a fight, you earn experience points that can lead to a level up. Before the next fight, you should distribute your available skill points in the skill tree as best as possible. There, active and passive skills are waiting for you.
The skill tree has various categories in which you can distribute your points freely and adapt them to your individual play style. This allows Enshrouded to offer you more freedom than other games in the genre.

The new movie “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse” is currently captivating audiences. It has already secured the title of the best superhero movie of all time, surpassing a popular DC film.
Since June 1, 2023, cinema fans can watch “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse,” the sequel to “Spider-Man: A New Universe,” on the big screen. The film is currently being celebrated enormously and is receiving top ratings from viewers and critics.
In the meantime, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse has even surpassed the former number 1 of superhero films and set a record.
Here you can see a trailer for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse:

Top Ratings on IMDb and Letterboxd
Through the online database IMDb, the top movies of all time can be displayed. The site creates a ranking based on user ratings to filter out the best films.
The top two positions in the overall ranking are held by “The Shawshank Redemption” (1994) and “The Godfather” (1972) with scores of 9.3 and 9.2.
Occupying 3rd place is the new Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, establishing a user rating of 9.1 out of 10.
Therefore, the new animated movie is now considered the best superhero movie of all time and has surpassed the DC blockbuster “The Dark Knight,” which is now in 4th place behind Spider-Man (as of June 6, 2023).
However, it should also be noted that the total votes for the new Spider-Man and the 2008 DC film are still very different: the Marvel film currently has only 60,611 votes, while Batman has a total of 2,720,494 ratings. The ranking could thus still change with an increasing number of reviews.
But it’s not just on IMDb that the film broke a record. Also on Letterboxd, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse quickly became a user favorite and even became the highest-rated film on the whole site (as of June 6, 2023).
What makes the film so good? MeinMMO editor-in-chief Leya Jankowski has already seen Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. Here is her conclusion about the new superhero blockbuster:
“I knew I had to see Across the Spider-Verse in Dolby Cinema on the best screen in Munich. And it was totally worth it!
The visuals are stunning, showing how expressionistic animation can be. There’s even more play with different styles than in the first film. Melancholic and delicate watercolor flows in one moment, while in the next, pure and dadaistic chaos is shown with hard, broken lines. This goes far beyond facial expressions and gestures in conveying emotions.
About 1,000 people are said to have worked on the film, and at 140 minutes, it is the longest animated movie to date – you can really see that production effort. Among all the fantastic visuals, the story suffers a bit. It seems not as strong as in the first part, as the protagonists often stumble from one fast action scene to the next.
We’re also given so many new lovable characters that I wished for a bit more time for them, and maybe one less action scene. But that’s complaining at a very high level. Absolutely recommend seeing it in theaters!
— MVP: The Spot – he has suddenly become one of my favorite villains, and I love what they did with him in the film and how they developed him.”
What is Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse about? The story revolves around Miles Morales, who, together with Gwen Stacy and her spider team, travels through the multiverse, learning what it means to be a hero.
iamabucket13: “This really makes me angry. It’s less about the state of the game and more about Niantic’s respect for players as human beings. There is no justification for people wasting their PokéCoins or their real-world money by changing things behind the scenes.”
alexcal24: “They are actively ruining the game and aren’t even trying to have a conversation. ‘No, we’re not going to address Hear Us Niantic because the mission is important and shinies don’t matter.’”

Disclosure of the rates: In addition to the confusion surrounding the increased remote raid prices and a generally lack of communication, trainers also criticize the opaque shiny rates.
These are not specifically named by the developers, which is why the community has been calling for the disclosure of these values for years and now compares the process to a form of gambling.
It remains to be seen whether Niantic will improve these poor rates and finally disclose the exact figures. Should there be new information on this, you will find out here, on MeinMMO.

This is partly because, according to Teban54, the data for the raid boss Uxie, which can be made on-site, were not recorded. On the other hand, there is no distinction in their survey between remote raids and on-site raids. This makes it correspondingly difficult to make an accurate statement about this.
Trainers are angry: “It’s the equivalent of throwing money away”
In the comments, some trainers confirm these assumptions, as they too have completed numerous remote raids without being able to catch a shiny. Particularly frustrating is that remote raids were recently limited to 5 per day and the prices for the corresponding passes were also increased.
This has already led to a heavy wave of protests with a petition and an open letter in recent weeks. The Lake Trio exacerbates this situation due to their regionally limited availability and practically forces trainers to participate in remote raids if they want to secure all of them as shinies.
It is therefore not surprising that trainers harshly criticize the determined shiny rates in the comments and are angry with the developers (via reddit.com):

What is your experience with the shiny rates of the Lake Trio? Were you able to catch a shiny specimen in the last few days? And how many raids did you have to play for this? Feel free to let us know here in the comments and exchange with other trainers about it.
TwitchTVryan: “I’m not surprised. We got 0 shiny Uxie on 46 [remote raids] from the USA. The fact that Niantic does not foresee any change just for remote raiders is absolutely annoying. Throwing money out the window when raid passes are not only doubled in price but also limited to 5 per day is very insulting.”
iamabucket13: “This really makes me angry.

In Pokémon GO many trainers are trying to catch shiny Pokémon, but this has now become more difficult for them. What happened and what your chances are now, we have summarized for you here on MeinMMO.
Which Pokémon is it about? In Pokémon GO, there are a number of monsters that you can not only encounter in their normal form, but also as so-called shinies. These are specimens that have a different color. They are usually relatively rare and therefore particularly sought after by trainers. This also applies to the legendary Lake Trio, which currently dominates the Level 5 raids.
But now players have noticed that the shiny odds for these have significantly worsened – at least when participating with a remote raid pass. What exactly it is about, what values have been determined, and how the community has reacted, we have summarized for you below.
What is the Lake Trio? The Lake Trio consists of the legendary Pokémon Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf. These are currently defending the Level 5 raids, but unlike most other raid bosses, they can only be found regionally. Only Mesprit is found here in Europe.
To secure the other two monsters, you can either travel to the respective region or currently participate in corresponding remote raids.
Worse shiny chances with the Lake Trio
What was found? As Reddit user Teban54 states in his post, players have repeatedly expressed in recent days that they have had a hard time encountering the shiny specimens of the Lake Trio.
For this reason, the Japanese website “9db” conducted an analysis based on user reports regarding the current shiny chances for Azelf and Mesprit. Trainers were able to share their experiences about the raids here.
Since neither monster can currently be caught in raids in the Asian region, it is assumed that most of the collected data is based on completed remote raids. It was found that the rate of catching a shiny specimen has drastically decreased (via reddit.com).
In the past, the community calculated an average chance of about 1 in 20 for legendary monsters. However, there are no official data on this. And the developers have not yet communicated any deterioration of the current rates.
What shiny chances are there for Azelf and Mesprit?
As can be seen in the post by Teban54, numerous trainers have shared their experiences with their completed Azelf and Mesprit raids on the 9db website, resulting in the following shiny chances being determined (via reddit.com):
Azelf:
completed raids: 1,390
of which shinies: 11
determined shiny rate: 1/126
Mesprit:
completed raids: 1,926
of which shinies: 30
determined shiny rate: 1/64
Thus, the chances of getting a shiny Mesprit were slightly better than those of Azelf. However, both rates are still significantly lower than the average determined for a legendary shiny in the past.
Do the rates only apply to remote raids? Whether the worse shiny rates apply only to remote raids or whether raids on-site also have a worse rate is not clear from the 9db analysis.
XLVIIISeahawks: “Spending money on remote raids is at this point the equivalent of throwing money into the trash. Niantic is driving this game straight into the ground.”

The much-anticipated Diablo 4 from Blizzard shook up the rankings on Twitch over the weekend. In Germany’s Twitch, the specialist for Diablo 4, jessirocks, leaps from 59th place to number 1. In English-speaking Twitch, a channel stands out for its very specific methods of accumulating viewership on Twitch. The favorites Asmongold and Quin69 are being left behind.
Where does jessirocks usually lie?
The Austrian jessirocks ranks 59th among the most-watched German-speaking Twitch streamers with 2.8 million watched hours over the year.
Although he has relatively high average viewership, he was only on the air for 1,070 hours – others in his field streamed around 1,700 hours on Twitch in the last 365 days.
The Austrian specializes in Diablo 3. However, like many of his “Diablo 3” colleagues, he also shows games related to a new season such as UNDECEMBER, Path of Exile, Diablo Immortal, or Last Epoch.

This is how he is doing now: In the last 3 days, jessirocks has shot past everyone and landed in 1st place on German Twitch. Even ahead of Papaplatte, Gronkh, and Elias97:
He was on air for 72 hours, keeping the stream running – If he isn’t streaming himself, others take over his channel. If no one is there, the stream just runs – even then, ten thousand people still watch.
Monday afternoon 16:17. 10,419 viewers during a break.
As a result, his average viewership is relatively low at night.
But at peak, 22,198 viewers were watching. Because he streamed for the full 72 hours, he lands in 1st place on German Twitch. With 860,000 watched hours, he is far ahead of Papaplatte (612,000 hours) and GRONKH (373,000).
The GameStar conducted a major interview with Jessirocks and his assessment of Diablo 4.

Is anyone else benefiting from Diablo 4 in Germany? Yes, among the channels that are increasingly showcasing Diablo 4 on Twitch are:
How’s it going on English-speaking Twitch USA? The equivalent of jessirocks would actually be the hard-boiled New Zealander Quin69 in English-speaking Twitch. He is known for his passion for hack and slays, but also for a quirky style that repeatedly earns him bans like “That wasn’t misogynist, that was funny”.
However, Quin69 ranks only 3rd in Diablo 4 over the past 3 days, although he was on air for 45 out of 72 hours.
Although Asmongold has the most average viewers by far at 48,569 and also the most peak viewers for Diablo 4, he is only in 7th place because he has only streamed for 7 hours. Perhaps he was indeed upset with the Twitch boss for making fun of his hair.
The 7 most successful English-speaking streamers for Diablo 4 in the last 3 days.
Who is in 1st place? 1st place is held by the channel “Fextralife” – this has been critically discussed before.
Fextralife operates dedicated wiki pages for games with guides and integrates their Twitch channel everywhere: So if someone searches for English guides for Diablo 4, they often “unintentionally” watch Fextralife’s channel too.
This skews the numbers, but puts them in 1st place. The channel was also online for the full 72 hours.
Update 6.6., 11:23 AM: A reader pointed out to us that the Twitch stream from jessirocks is embedded on German guide pages for Diablo 4 and is running continuously – similar to fextralife.

In Diablo, since the year 2000, there has been the “secret Cow Level,” a hidden, legendary place where the game was a bit crazier than usual. What about it in Diablo 4 ? Diablo head Rod Fergusson (Blizzard) explains why they consciously chose not to include it, at least at the release.
What is the secret Cow Level?
The “Cow Level” is a special secret place in Diablo 2 that could only be accessed indirectly. The first time the “Cow Level” was seen was on April 1, 1999, and it was thought to be an April Fool’s joke. But when Diablo 2 was released a year later, players actually found access to the place on July 4, 2000 (via blizzardwatch).
In that place, countless cows run around and a Cow King. Because there are especially many mobs in one spot, the secret Cow Level is ideal for characters who specialize in area damage, perfect for farming EXP and items.
Twitch streamer Asmongold says: “Stop watching streams at 3 AM if you don’t have money!”
Boss says: Anyone with business sense would have brought pets and wings to Diablo 4
What does Diablo say about the Cow Level? In a lengthy video interview about Diablo 4, the head of Diablo, Rod Fergusson, spoke on the subject. He stated: They wanted to keep everything “down to earth” in Diablo 3, which is why they also forwent wings and pets, the two things that were particularly prominent in Diablo 3 and which definitely had to be included in Diablo 4 from a marketing perspective:
The interviewer asks: “What about cows, Rod? Are you a cow person? Let’s talk about cows.”
Fergusson first laughs and says: “I have no idea what you’re talking about.”
He then explains: They wanted to keep everything in the new Diablo “down to earth.” Diablo 4 should feel “authentic” and do justice to the Gothic theme.
Therefore, they also forwent wings and pets, the two particularly successful elements in Diablo 3, which anyone with “a touch of business sense” would definitely have included in Diablo 4:
“But we didn’t want 30 people in the village on launch day walking around with angelic or demonic wings on their backs and a bunch of dogs, cats, or whatever. That would have broken the immersion.”
Diablo 4 has no Cow Level in Season 1, but maybe in later Seasons
For the same reason that they want to keep the game authentically dark, there is also no secret level in Diablo 4 that people might be searching for.
“But that doesn’t mean it won’t come in the future.”
These are two completely different things, Ferguson says with a smile, what one can do in Season 1 or what one can do in Season 21. We will see if this wisdom also applies to Diablo 4.
