At the Fan Fest 2023, the developers of EVE Online presented their latest project EVE Vanguard in more detail. As already revealed last year, it is a first-person shooter. However, it contains more than initially suspected, as it is fully compatible with EVE itself.
What is Vanguard? A shooter in and for EVE Online, at least that’s how the developers describe their creation. It is the FPS project from CCP London, which was roughly introduced at the Fan Fest 2022.
The game places great importance on an authentic environment and wants to “be more than just a normal shooter in EVE’s clothing.” So the developers stated at the Fan Fest. The core features of EVE Vanguard are as follows:
A standalone shooter that is firmly connected to EVE Online. Player actions in both games influence resources, economies, wars, and more in the other game.

Havoc is the new expansion of the probably most well-known space sandbox EVE Online and it will be released in November. This was announced by the developer at the fan fest for the 20th anniversary of the MMORPG. Fans have been wishing for the feature that Havoc brings for about the same amount of time.
What is Havoc? At the EVE fan fest 2022, the developers announced that they would increasingly focus on expansions for new content. Since then, the two add-ons Uprising and Virdian have been released, which build on each other both in their mechanics and in their story.
Havoc will be the third expansion in the series, which is intended to continue this pattern. It will be released on November 14 and will set clear priorities. These promise more power for players, stronger organizations, fundamental changes in faction wars, and pirates.

Among other things, for the total of 5 new ships that come into the game with Havoc. This includes 2 battle cruisers, 2 destroyers, two of which will be available in the game next week, and the long-awaited Angel Titan.
This is said to be one of the most powerful ships in the game. According to the developers, fans will need 3 to 4 weeks to build a single copy of the new Titan. Its power is said to be immense.
How is the war changing? Players who ally themselves with pirates also have a concrete influence on the faction wars in EVE Online. Specifically, on the frontline principle. In this “mode”, two factions fight against each other, and front lines, command, and safe zones are formed. As a pirate, you can establish a front base and then invade the territories of both participating factions.

What is special about this update? In addition to typical optimizations for AAA games, Nvidia continuously improves its AI upscaling technology DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling).
With driver version 537.42, DLSS 3.5 is now available for Cyberpunk 2077.
This update completely overhauls ray tracing and adds the new AI-based feature ray reconstruction.

Next, the developers present the character’s combat style and how much his movements benefit from motion capture. The gameplay has been significantly overhauled, as the developers want to provide not only an interesting concept but also a good and fluid gaming experience.

This went so far that even the most loyal YouTuber turned away from the game and had enough of the developer’s consistent approach of empty promises, excuses, and delays.
With the return of Julian Gerighty, this could now change – at least some fans hope so. They are already dreaming of wandering through a snowy version of Boston or Chicago with their weapon.
Julian Gerighty has been with Ubisoft/Massive Entertainment for 25 years and was involved in creating the original “The Division” in 2016 as well as crafting the adventures of “The Division 2” in the summer streets of Washington, D.C.
However, the outlook for a specific timeline for the sequel looks less than promising.

When can we expect the sequel? The announcement states that Julian Gerighty is initially supposed to focus on building a team for “The Division 3”. So everything is still purely in the planning phase.
