In Starfield you can build your own outpost and farm various resources with it. One player, however, has not settled for a few buildings and resource extractors in Bethesda’s sci-fi RPG, but has created an outpost as big as a city.
What kind of city is this? Since Starfield was officially released, fans have been sharing tons of pictures and videos of their elaborately built spaceships on social media. The Twitter user “NikoMueller” has now taken a different direction in a post and shown a huge outpost he built in Starfield – completely without mods.
NikoMueller’s outpost is as big as a city and completely automatically farms resources. The images also show that he built the outpost near Akila City on the planet Akila. On Akila, there is water, aluminum, nickel, argon, benzene, and cobalt.

Meter-high towers with storage and machines
What is in the outpost? NikoMueller also attached two videos to his post in which he showcases his impressive creation. The videos show meter-high towers made of containers and other storage units, various extractors that farm resources, as well as taking off spaceships that distribute the farmed resources via a freight link between different outposts.
In addition to the various machines, two fusion reactors, and numerous wind turbines for energy generation, the player equipped his city with greenhouses and laser turrets that protect his outpost from space pirates and extraterrestrial beings like the native Ashta on Akila.
He also states that he has eight human NPCs and six robots in his outpost, which expand his production, clean the gardens and rooms, increase the machine performance, and enhance the defense system’s capabilities.

Does the outpost remain in New Game Plus? No, like many other things, the built outposts are gone in “New Game+” and need to be rebuilt.
However, NikoMueller explains in the comments of his post that he built the huge, fully automated outpost in “New Game +++”, which is his fourth run of the game.
How can the outpost run fully automatically? Once you have built the basic structures like various extractors, storage units, and generators (or other energy-producing machines), you must connect the different devices with cables and output links.
You should also ensure that you always have enough power and that this is ideally produced and distributed via the output links.
If you use a generator, for example, you need helium-3. If you have a helium-3 source and a corresponding extractor in your outpost, you can continuously supply your generator with helium-3, allowing it to produce energy that powers your machines.
If you want to read more about building an outpost and setting up fully automated processes, we have a guide for you here:
In May 2003, the MMORPG EVE Online went online for the first time. That was over 20 years ago, and that’s exactly what the developers celebrated together with the fans at Fanfest 2023 in Iceland. Our author Mark Sellner was there and on the trail of the question of what makes the game so captivating even after 20 years that thousands of people watch every day as their ships are destroyed.
“EVE Online is not just a game, it is a community and a society in itself.” With these words, CCP Hellmar, CEO of EVE, opens the closing ceremony of the Fanfest. Just two days earlier, I arrived in Iceland and got to take a tour of the developer’s buildings.
Right above the entrance, the inscription reads, “We create virtual worlds that are more meaningful than real life.” In the 48 hours between, I had plenty of time to watch talks and analyses, and to talk to fans. I wanted to find out why the space sandbox EVE Online can still excite even after 20 years.
That it still does is beyond question. Over 1,200 fans and 250 developers traveled to the biggest Fanfest that EVE has ever celebrated in Iceland. Even the President of Iceland, Guðni Th. Jóhannesson, gave a speech to welcome the space heroes of EVE Online.

EVE is known for massive battles, villains, betrayal, intrigue, and … friendship?
I have been reporting here on MeinMMO for some time about EVE Online and the stories happening in the community there. It’s usually about brilliant plans to betray others and cause them harm.
Often, the “nasty” and “evil” are in the foreground, but on a smaller scale, there’s more behind it. The secret of EVE Online is the friendships it can create. The developers at CCP even go so far as to call EVE a “friendship machine.” And although some of the viewers have shot each other hundreds of times in the game, everyone seems to agree.
On stage, a CCP employee begins his presentation with the words “Every friendship in EVE begins with…” and the crowd collectively shouts: “a kill.” Later, a fan explains to me that many contacts start when a new player is cold-bloodedly shot down by a veteran.
However, it often happens that this person then messages you afterward and explains why you were just shot down. Some even go so far as to replace the destroyed ship. That’s how friendships in EVE Online begin, and not a few of them.
About 72% of EVE players who have played the MMORPG for over 10 hours report having found at least one new friend in space. The developers proudly present this statistic because it makes the game special. While many MMORPGs rely on community, rarely does it function as successfully as in the expanses of New Eden.
This strong focus on the community and the players is clearly reflected in many decisions made by the developers. True to the motto “If we don’t do it, you’ll do it anyway. So we’ll do it,” says Creative Director CCP Burgur in the deep dive into EVE Vanguard.
The love for the community becomes clear when you notice the massive EVE statue in the heart of Reykjavik, the capital of Iceland and the headquarters of CCP. It was expanded for the 20th anniversary and bears the names of all EVE pilots who have ever had an Omega membership. Over the last 20 years, this has accumulated hundreds of thousands of names.

Whether tyrant or pope, at the Fanfest, everyone belongs together
Some players on site, with whom I spoke, have been there from the beginning. This is not surprising, as the average number of play hours for Fanfest visitors is a relaxed 7,600, as I am told by CCP.
In all this time, solid societies form in the community, shaped by prominent individuals. This includes the annually elected “Council of Stellar Management,” in which players can vote for 12 other players to work with the developers for a year to make the right decisions for EVE.
But less game-defining figures have also emerged from the community itself, such as the Space Pope Max Singularity. He actually originated from a meme, but now stands for unity in New Eden. It even goes so far that he married a player couple at the Fanfest 2018.
Space-Pope Max Singularity at Fanfest 2023 (Photo: Roger Sieber)
I knew most of these stories before I arrived at Fanfest and, after so much rivalry among the factions, assumed it would be similar on site. But I was surprised.
Although most fans on site wore insignias like clan emblems or colors, by the last evening, symbolically everyone was hugging and celebrating themselves, each other, and the game itself.
I witnessed how members of rival corps and developers themselves sang and had fun together. The “friendship machine” seems to actually work. Even if a friendship in EVE often begins with being shot down by the other.
Long-lasting friendships also form among the developers. Those who have been involved for more than 10 years receive a special sword in the company HQ (Photo: Roger Sieber)
More power to the players, new games in the universe of New Eden, and the foundation for new friendships
I would also claim to have found more than a few new friends through Fanfest. Whether other authors on site, enthusiastic players who are setting up their own EVE accounts for the birth of their children, or developers. I spoke with many and connected sustainably, and this despite hardly coming into contact with the actual game itself.
In the future, it should be even easier. Because the announcements at Fanfest indicate that EVE wants to broaden its reach and reach more people. One part of this will be the new expansion Havoc, which focuses on giving players even more power and space.
Also, the shooter in the EVE universe, Vanguard, could expand the potential target audience for the MMORPG. Because the past 20 years seem, according to the developers and fans, just the beginning.

EVE Online lets you finally be truly evil – Trailer for the new expansion Havoc
In speeches and presentations, developers often talk about the “next and next decade” instead of the next year. They want to focus on building good foundations for the future and creating something together that is bigger than any individual, as CEO Hilmar states.
EVE should “last forever”. That it at least has the potential to do so, I realized when I spoke with fans who are younger than EVE Online itself. To achieve this, CCP wants to expand the universe of EVE Online beyond Vanguard and EVE itself.
With Galaxy Conquest, a new 4X mobile game in New Eden (via CCP) will soon launch, and even a board game was introduced at Fanfest.
So is the community the secret behind 20 years of success? At least that’s how the developers see it. And not just them: scientists rely on the community in EVE’s Project Discovery to advance research in cancer and Covid, and successfully so.
Even a museum exhibition about the history of the EVE community is set to open soon in Madrid, as announced at Fanfest. The exhibition itself will also be organized by the players.
After three days in Iceland, I personally experienced that the community and the opportunities given to them make EVE Online successful. The MMORPG itself is simply the framework for what the players create. And there are practically no limits to that.“The only true sandbox,” as a fan described it in a conversation with me. In which the developers can keep pouring more sand with tools and expansions.
What do you think? Have you ever found friends in EVE Online? Have you been around for 20 years yourself? What do you think lies behind the fascination of EVE? Feel free to write it in the comments here on MeinMMO.

EA FC 24 is now available in Early Access, and the community immediately notices that an important feature is missing in the career mode. We will show you what it is about.
The career mode of EA Sports has received some new features, which do not revolutionize the mode but expand it with several functionalities. Now there are:
Simplified tactics with Tactical Visions
An own coaching staff that you can hire
Better preparation for the next match with “Match Preparation” and “Matchday Training”
A new camera perspective from the sidelines to watch the game like a coach
A player agent in your player career who helps you become a superstar
Additionally, EA mentions the implementation of numerous new cutscenes that are supposed to make the career mode even more immersive. However, fans painfully miss a particularly important cutscene from previous years in the FIFA successor.
Community misses important cutscenes before kickoff
In the career mode of FIFA 23, there used to be some cutscenes shown before the start of a match. You could see fans entering the stadium, the teams coming onto the field, high-fiving each other, and finally, even the line-ups of the teams. You could also hear the respective fan chants and anthems of the teams.
The whole thing was underscored by commentators who contextualized the match.
Scenes that no longer exist in the career mode of EA FC 24.The line-up created a real TV feeling.
This is missing now in EA FC 24: When you now start a match in career mode in EA FC 24, the cutscenes are significantly shorter. You do get a few impressions of the players in the dressing room, the coaches, as well as a brief look at the teams entering the field.
But there is no longer a proper entrance with commentators, handshakes, and the introduction of the line-ups.
This is what the community says: On Reddit, fans of the career mode largely express negative opinions regarding the absence of the popular cutscenes.
We have summarized a few voices for you:
TheEvolution_PT: ‘Yes, this ruins it for me. I am really disappointed. I have always played FIFA just for the career mode.’
Integral_06: ‘That was what contributed the most to immersion, absolutely terrible.’
kingfish101: ‘I don’t know why EA would want to remove that. It just kills a lot of immersion.’
areyouhungryforapple: ‘One of the biggest setbacks in recent years. They have removed so much of their own work for no reason. The scenes gave a reason to play away games to see the different fan chants, anthems, and choreographies.’
Is this just a bug? What lies behind the absence of the popular pre-match cutscenes is still unknown, as EA has not yet commented on it. However, it could very well be a bug, as some fans suspect in the official EA forum.
But it could also be that EA simply wanted to integrate new, significantly shorter cutscenes. As soon as we know more, you will find out here on MeinMMO.
What do you think about the absence of cutscenes in EA Sports FC 24? Will you miss the scenes at the beginning of a match? Feel free to let us know in the comments!
If you are looking for the best talents for your EA FC 24 career, then take a look here:
Since Phantom Liberty, there are new vendors in Cyberpunk 2077 selling powerful upgrades for your protagonist. We will show you where to find them, how much they cost, and what they can do for you.
These upgrades are permanent and are particularly worthwhile for players who already have enough Eurodollars saved up.
New insights into Phantom Liberty can be found here in the new trailer featuring Idris Elba:

Dog Town, new city with great potential
Where can I find the vendors? The new vendors in Dog Town are your go-to spots when it comes to buying upgrades for your character. We have scoured the city and found that all food stalls, bars, and med stations each offer a permanent upgrade for sale.
You can find all new and worthwhile vendors in the new city “Dogtown”
These items can be purchased for up to 12,000 Eurocredits. In our test, we also tried to reset the vendors and their offerings to see if the items would refresh again. Unfortunately, this does not happen even after 2 in-game days.
Moreover, the items are consumed immediately upon purchase. Whether this is just a bug or intentional, we cannot say with certainty yet.
What kind of upgrades are these? All items either increase health regeneration, stamina regeneration, or your maximum health. You can recognize the items by their golden background.
What else is being sold? According to a new loading screen in Cyberpunk 2077, players have discovered that iconic weapons are also sold in Dogtown. These are items that you may have missed in a quest or mission, and thus cannot obtain anymore.

In an interview with the business magazine Forbes, Kaitlyn “Amouranth” Siragusa (29) talks about how she divides her time between Twitch and Kick, and how she managed to assert herself as a woman in the streaming world.
What deal is it about? In mid-June 2023, Amouranth signed a non-exclusive contract with the Twitch competitor Kick. Since then, she has been dividing her time between the streaming platforms. The announcement of the switch was made with an ironic video:
First, Amouranth is seen reading an article about her Twitch colleague Félix “xQc” Lengyel. He received 70 million US dollars for a two-year contract with the option to earn an additional 30 million dollars if he meets certain conditions. The total sum of the deal amounts to 100 million dollars, making him even competitive with professional athletes.
In her own announcement, Amouranth calls her agent and says: “Hey, well, the 100-million-dollar deals have begun… can I get one of those?” How much money the streamer actually received was previously unknown; rumors spoke of 30 million US dollars for 2 years. In an interview with the business magazine Forbes, she now spoke about the monetization of her brand.

From Overwatch professional to number 1 on Twitch to 100 million $ – Who is xQc?
Amouranth went from Twitch outsider to top earner
How much did Amouranth actually receive? The streamer does not reveal that, but Forbes speaks of “a non-exclusive deal with the competitor platform Kick for an estimated 7 million dollars annually.” This means Amouranth would only receive 1/5 of what xQc received.
However, Twitch and Kick are not the only sources of income for the streamer. With her OnlyFans account alone, she reportedly earns more than 100 million US dollars a month. And Amouranth wouldn’t be the businesswoman she is if she couldn’t even make money while sleeping.
To manage all of this, Amouranth has a tight schedule: She explains to Forbes that she is live on Twitch and Kick for at least 10 hours a day. According to Amouranth, this is important for the community aspect.
The streamer explains that she differs from many of her female colleagues. They are not as chronically online as she is. For women, it is generally more difficult to assert oneself in live streaming because the audience is predominantly male and can identify more with men, says Amouranth.
However, she has managed to overcome the feeling of being an “outsider” as a female streamer on Twitch and just kept streaming.
However, to ensure a steady stream of new content, the streamer takes “two days every few weeks” to pre-produce content: On these days, YouTube videos, photos for Instagram and Twitter, as well as recordings that users can purchase on OnlyFans and other paid platforms are created.
In addition, Amouranth earns money through sponsorships and various investments. The 29-year-old owns several gas stations and knows how to invest her money wisely.
In Pokémon GO raids are one of the most popular features. Now Niantic wants to finally improve a problem that has been criticized by players for years. We at MeinMMO show you what the developers are planning and how the community is reacting.
Which raids are we talking about? In Pokémon GO, you can not only catch monsters in the wild, but also challenge them in raids. Depending on how difficult a raid boss is, you need the support of other trainers or can sometimes tackle it alone.
What has Niantic planned? As Reddit user Amiibofan101 shows in his post, the developers of Pokémon GO announced on the night of September 27 over their X account that they have started a test series for a raid change. In some areas, the preparation times for level 1 and level 3 raids are to be reduced to 60 and 80 seconds, respectively.

So the developers write (via x.com): We are conducting a test that affects tier 1 and tier 3 raid battles in some regions. For trainers participating in raids in these areas, the countdown timer before the start of the raid will be reduced to 60 seconds for tier-1 raids and 80 seconds for tier-3 raids.
What does the change bring for players? With the change, Niantic is addressing the long-standing criticism of the community. Anyone wishing to complete a raid alone previously had to wait 120 seconds in the arena before the actual raid started. A long time during which you could only wait and could not catch any monsters. With the experimental change, times should now be significantly shortened.
Criticism of the shorter timer: Although the change is a step in the right direction and significantly shortens the time in the lobby, players find this implementation the wrong approach. Just recently, a new ready button was added to the game, allowing trainers in the raid lobby to start the fight faster.
But there is a big catch. It can only be used if there are at least two people in the lobby. Then it works wonderfully and reduces the countdown to 10 seconds after being activated together. However, those who want to tackle the raid alone still need to be patient. The button is grayed out and cannot be pressed. Instead, you have to wait for other trainers.
Here, many trainers believe Niantic should activate the button generally and not change the preparation times. Additionally, there is criticism of the new shorter times. These could be too short for players who want to play with remote raids and have been invited. Comments such as (via reddit.com) can be seen:
Charmd2: We have a ready button. Why the hell would we reduce the timers when there’s a T1 or T3 raid that we want to invite people to? I mean, I remember Wuffels raids where everyone wanted an invite. Or Turtonator. Crazy decision, Niantic. How about a ready button for the whole time, even in solo.
ScottaHemi: It’s not bad, but why don’t you just activate that damn button?
techbear72: But this is even worse. If for some reason you want to invite other people, it would be much better to have the ready button available under all circumstances given the unreliability of notifications and everything else.
Support for the change: However, there are also a number of players who find a shorter timer sensible. They explain in the comments that it is especially important for low-level players to easily join other players in a raid.
If the ready button were also active for individual players, these trainers might not have a chance to jump into raids. Security concerns also play a role for some. An active ready button, in their opinion, could also motivate drivers at a red light to quickly participate in such a fight, which in turn would affect traffic.
What do you think of Niantic’s planned change? Would you prefer to have a better function of the ready button? Or do you find a shorter countdown more sensible? Feel free to let us know here at MeinMMO in the comments and share your thoughts with other trainers.
The most Boomer shooters in the spirit of Doom do not hold back on blood or explicit violence. The upcoming game Fortune’s Run had a warning for a specific scene, but this was Steam probably not explicit enough, and according to the developer, the game was initially not allowed to be released.
What is Fortune’s Run? The indie game is a classic Boomer shooter.
In the spirit of Doom or Quake, you shoot your way through pixelated hallways full of enemies
Despite the appearance, the game is for adult players
In Early Access since 01.09.2023
Is set to release on 28.09.2023
But the days before the release were turbulent for the developer, as the developer posted on Twitter, Steam blocked the release of the game. According to the developer, this was due to 2 reasons. The first being a gameplay problem in the tutorial, which has since been solved, but the 2nd problem was a scene and the accompanying warning.
Often, the removal from Steam also has legal reasons:
Fortune’s Run – Trailer of the Boomer Shooter in the spirit of Doom and Quake
For Valve, a scene was not explicit enough
As the developer states in the Twitter post, there is a scene in the game that deals with sexual violence. Due to this scene, the developer wanted to set up a content warning in both the game itself and on the Steam page to warn players.
The developer finds the depicted scene so disgusting that a prior warning and an option to deactivate the content is required. However, Steam saw this differently according to the developer and found the scene not explicit enough to justify these warnings.
As the next step, the developer wanted to remove the content warning from the Steam page to secure the imminent release.
Was the developer successful? As the developer now confirms in their latest Twitter post, the removal of the content warning was successful and the game was approved for release by Steam. Thus, nothing stands in the way of the release on 28.09.2023.
While the developer is not completely satisfied, there is still a content warning in the game itself and the ability to remove and filter this content in the game.
Sometimes developers themselves do not know why their game is removed:
Many writers see ChatGPT as a thorn in their side. Because the AI learns from texts that are illegally downloaded from the internet – at least that is the accusation.
AI programs like ChatGPT have quickly found their way into the daily lives of many people. Whether you want to summarize something, have an alternative to googling, or simply joke around and exchange messages with chatbots – there are many possibilities. However, some are quite upset about what OpenAI uses to make ChatGPT better and better.
As PCGamer reports, a group of 17 prominent authors, including George R. R. Martin (“A Song of Ice and Fire” or “Game of Thrones”), has now filed a lawsuit against OpenAI. The accusation: ChatGPT uses the authors’ stories for learning.
Is there any truth to this? That ChatGPT, for example, knows the books of George R. R. Martin is virtually undisputed. Until recently, ChatGPT could still quote whole passages from the “Game of Thrones” books. According to the indictment, ChatGPT can still provide summaries of the books that go far beyond what one can read in official book summaries – for it knows details that one can only know if one has read the entire book.
The accusation is, therefore, that OpenAI uses texts that are published on piracy websites – such as complete books by well-known authors. Therefore, “The Authors Guild” is now suing:
This case is just the beginning of our fight to protect authors from theft by OpenAI and other generative AI. As the oldest and largest organization of writers, with almost 14,000 members, the “Authors Guild” is in a unique position to advocate for the rights of authors. Our membership is diverse and passionate. Our staff, which also includes a large legal department, has expertise in copyright law. We want to say only this: We are not bringing this indictment lightly. We are here to fight.
What do the authors want to achieve? The authors are not looking to bring the development of ChatGPT or other AIs to a halt. Instead, they want writers and authors to have to give their consent if their stories are to be used to train such AI bots. If consent is granted, there must be appropriate compensation for the use.
In a statement from the Authors Guild, it states that “generative AI threatens to destroy the profession of authors.” A lawsuit has been filed due to the “profound injustice and danger arising from the use of copyrighted books to train commercial AI without permission or payment.”
The CEO of the Authors Guild, Mary Rasenberger, further stated:
Great books are mostly written by those who spend their entire career and often their whole life improving their craft. To protect our literature, authors must have the ability to control whether and how their works are used by generative AI. The various GPT models and other current generative AIs can only create material that is a derivative of what came before. They copy sentence structure, voice, storytelling, and context from books and other incorporated texts. The results are just remixes without the influence of human creation. Regurgitated culture is no substitute for human art.
That ChatGPT and other similar text AIs pose a threat or at least a problem for writers is beyond question. A while ago, someone had even tried to create the next two volumes (Part 6 and 7) of “A Song of Ice and Fire” with ChatGPT (via winteriscoming.net) – and was even quite successful with it.
What is your opinion on this matter? A justifiable reason and a good thing? Or are the writers just being “greedy” here?
Now the successful YouTube streamer Herschel “Guy” Beahm IV, also known as DrDisrespect, allegedly learned that CS2 will indeed be released today.

German translation of the post: “Since I designed half of the maps for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, I made a couple of calls in the industry and got the information we need… CS2 is coming to market tomorrow.”
Fans also believe today is the CS2 release
This is why the community speculates: Not only DrDisrespect believes in a CS2 release today, September 27.
A post from the official CS2 Twitter account fueled speculation on September 20 that the CS2 release is imminent. In the post, players were asked what they would be doing on the upcoming Wednesday, September 27.
NCSoft, the company behind games like Lineage, Aion, and the upcoming Throne and Liberty, is working on a new MMORPG. It is supposed to be developed in collaboration with Sony and set in the Horizon universe. A Korean insider has now revealed some details, although there is currently no gameplay available.
What do we know about the game? As early as the end of 2022, there were rumors that an MMORPG set in Horizon was in development. However, the development has not been officially confirmed yet. Now, however, there has been an insider report on the Korean website MTN, which revealed some information about the game:
It is currently running under the name Project Skyline and is overseen by Choi Hong-young. He is a Senior Manager at NCSoft and has been with the company since 2009.
The company is internally divided into three departments, with the Horizon MMORPG being assigned to the team of Lineage. This dispels a common rumor that ArenaNet – the developers of Guild Wars 2 – would be handling the game.
It is being developed in close collaboration with Sony, who are also said to have the authority to decide when the first official information will be shared.
The project is described as large and important. Within the team, there is supposed to be competition between the three games Project Skyline, Throne and Liberty, and Aion 2, as everyone wants to achieve the next big success for the company.
However, there are many indications that the Horizon MMORPG will be larger and will focus on PC and PlayStation.

Sony has long wanted a multiplayer game in Horizon
Why will there be an MMORPG for Horizon? As reported by the website VGC, Guerrilla Games – the developers of Horizon – and Sony wanted to include a co-op mode in the first game Zero Dawn. This was cut to focus on the remaining game content. There was also no multiplayer for the successor Forbidden West.
However, Sony is said to be very interested in establishing a multiplayer and ideally even a service game for the IP. An MMORPG would fit in well with this.
However, there were also some leaks in early 2023 regarding a multiplayer from Guerrilla Games. For Horizon fans, there seem to be some highlights in the coming years.
When might we learn more? From November 16 to 19, the G-Star will take place. This is the largest gaming fair in Korea. New titles are usually presented here. NCSoft will participate, and the fair is expected to be really big this year, with Krafton, Epic Games, Smilegate (Lost Ark), and Nexon present.
It is quite possible that Sony and NCSoft will reveal more about the Horizon MMORPG there.
Does the idea of an MMORPG in the world of Horizon appeal to you? And what must it definitely offer to be interesting for you?
Two people came into a lot of money with a trick. But luck was short-lived. Now they found themselves in court.
The title image is a symbolic image.
Two men found a hobby and wanted to invest in cryptocurrencies together. Due to a mistake, they suddenly became very rich as the platform paid them a million-dollar amount due to an error.
Now the two and the wife were in court and have to repay the money. The platform noticed the mistake a few months later. This was reported by Spanish colleagues from 3djuegos.com.
Transfer error leads to 10 million US dollars in the wrong account
How did the two proceed? The two men had the idea to open an account at Crypto.com and deposited 100 dollars. However, the platform rejected the payment because he was using his wife’s account, and thus the details did not match.
Subsequently, he requested a refund of the 100 dollars. But instead of transferring him 100 dollars, the platform paid him an amount of 10.5 million US dollars.
What happened next? The two individuals did not think to report the platform’s error. Instead, they began investing the money in various things: real estate, art, furniture, and other valuable items. The wife was also involved, hiding a few million in another account.
But after a few months, in December 2021, the platform realized that they had made a mistake.
How did the error occur? Allegedly, the employee who was supposed to process the refund confused the amount with the account number. That is why 10.5 million dollars were transferred instead of 100 dollars.
How did the case end? The platform sued the three individuals and was ultimately right. The Supreme Court decided:
The money was used fraudulently, and the court seized the couple’s assets to compensate the platform.
The husband was sentenced to 18 months of community service.
His wife must serve 200 days in prison.
The third person was provisionally summoned for theft. The verdict is still pending.
Such errors happen again and again. Just recently, a user also received too much money. But here it was “only” a sum of 50,000 US dollars. However, he wasn’t very lucky with it:
The new shooter XDefiant from Ubisoft is considered by many players to be the next hit on the shooter horizon. But when will the shooter officially be released for PC, PS5, and Xbox? Everything we know about the release date of XDefiant.
XDefiant is a new free-to-play shooter from Ubisoft that is currently exciting many players. You take on the role of fictional organizations from various Ubisoft games. Some players and streamers are already calling XDefiant a “CoD killer” and believe: A shooter with a lot of potential is being created here.
Update: The article was published on April 23, 2023. On September 27, we added new information about the official release date.
When will XDefiant be released?
When is Xdefiant coming out? Late September or mid-October 2023. The developers themselves stated in a statement (via ubisoft.com) that the shooter should be released in a few weeks:
If everything goes well with the development and the first patch, a release in September 2023 could be expected.
However, should there be problems, the situation looks different: “If we have to make a day-1 patch, our [release] date will shift to early/mid-October.”
The game has already reached a quite finished state after the beta. Many have requested that the developers keep the demo running until the release. On MeinMMO, we will keep you updated on the current release.
What is the gameplay principle? In XDefiant, you compete against other players in various PvP modes such as domination and payload, trying to secure victory for your team. The shooter does not use “skill-based matchmaking” (sbmm) in casual playlists, which should please CoD fans. There will also be a ranked mode.
How much will XDefiant cost? Nothing. XDefiant is set to be released as a free-to-play shooter. Presumably, you will be able to pay real money for faster progression or skins, as is common in other free games.
You can find more free and trending shooters directly with us on MeinMMO. Here we present you a selection of co-op games, arena shooters, and tactical shooters that you should check out if you are looking for:
The lineup for the “PlayStation Plus” games in October 2023 will be officially revealed on September 27, but already a leak has surfaced showing two games– including a horror game from 2022.
What games were leaked? According to the leak, the following two titles will be part of the “PS Plus” lineup for October 2023:
The Callisto Protocol – the horror game released in December 2022 by Striking Distance Studios
Farming Simulator 22 – A simulation by Giants Software in which you experience the various facets of farming
How reliable is the leak? The leak comes from the French site dealabs, which regularly leaks the upcoming “PS Plus” games. The information is usually very reliable and often proves to be correct.
What is Callisto Protocol? Callisto Protocol is a horror game with shooter elements from Striking Distance Studios, released in December 2022 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
Callisto Protocol is set on Callisto, the fourth moon of the gas giant Jupiter. You play as Jacob Lee, who finds himself as a prisoner in a high-security prison on the Jupiter moon. But while serving your time behind bars, some inmates turn into monsters. Your task now is to escape from the prison alive.
What kind of game is this? Farming Simulator 22 is exactly what the name suggests: a simulation in which you take on various tasks of farming – with as realistic processes as possible, as it is a simulation.
Your tasks as a farmer include crop cultivation, taking care of animals, and managing production processes. You can either perform tasks on someone else’s farm or establish and run your own farm.
Alongside the challenges of the different seasons, you should also not ignore the economic aspect of farming, otherwise you will quickly lead your farm to ruin.
Currently, you can also still secure the “PS Plus” games for September 2023. What titles these are and until when you have time to add them to your library, you will find out on MeinMMO:
14 years ago, the MMORPG Aion was released and was briefly a competitor to the European giant WoW. The MMORPG “with the wings” also had its fans in Europe. Since 2018, the MMORPG giant NCSoft has been working on the successor Aion 2 (iOS, Android, PC). A release, including in Europe and for PC, is aimed for 2025, as an insider report from South Korea now reveals.
What kind of game is Aion?
Aion was an exotic and extravagant game for its time, coming to Europe when most European MMORPG players only knew World of Warcraft. Since Aion was developed with the CryEngine, it was truly a sight to behold.
Many referred to the MMORPG as the “game with the wings,” as characters didn’t fly on flying mounts, like in WoW, but had wings themselves.
Aion transitioned to Free2Play in Europe in 2012 and gradually faded. While Aion is still playable and a Classic version was even released in 2023. But in South Korea, Aion remained popular and relevant over the years. It kept appearing in NCSoft’s financial reports alongside Blade & Soul and the Lineage games. After 5 years of silence about Aion 2, details about a successor have now become concrete.
An official gameplay trailer for Aion 2 was released in 2018:

AION 2 shows the gameplay of the MMORPG in the trailer
Aion 2 was presented in 2018, initially as a pure mobile game
What we know so far about Aion 2: Aion 2 was introduced by NCSoft in 2018, along with Blade & Soul 2. At that time, some facts about the game were shared: Aion 2 is said to take place 900 years before the first part, and there should be no class restrictions. Anyone would be able to use any item.
The MMORPG should allow players to glide through the air on their own wings again: This unique feature was supposed to become even more important than in Aion 1.
The big catch back then: In 2018, it was said that the game would be a pure mobile game, released only for iOS and Android. However, NCSoft has since moved away from that, and the MORPG Aion 2 will also be released for PC.
A trailer from 2018 also introduced the world of Aion 2:

AION 2 presents its world in the trailer
5 years without new information about Aion 2
What happened after 2018 regarding Aion 2? Practically nothing. As is typical for a Korean MMORPG, Aion 2 went “dark” after this presentation, and one heard nothing about the game or its development for 5 years.
This is how it works in Korea: An MMORPG is often announced early with a trailer that makes it seem as though the game will be released tomorrow. However, at that point, there is nothing but the trailer, and the game still needs to be developed.
Western players were already driven crazy by Lost Ark, where the announcement with the fancy trailer was still years away from the actual release.
Insider report: NCSoft disappointed with Throne and Liberty, focuses on Aion 2
This is what we now know about Aion 2: The Korean site MTN reported on September 25 from a source that “knows about NCSoft.” From this source, we now know some details that have not been officially confirmed:
240 employees are working on Aion 2 – most of them have previously worked on Lineage 2M, a successful mobile game. The timing fits: Lineage2M was released in November 2019 in South Korea, around the time when the development of Aion 2 probably gained momentum.
According to a Japanese site, the head was exchanged in October 2021: Baek Seung-wook, who previously led “Lineage Eternal,” is now in charge.
The scale of development is said to be roughly equivalent to that of “Throne and Liberty,” with the MMORPG set to be released in 2024. Aion 2 is expected to become the new “flagship project” of NCSoft, following Throne and Liberty.
Aion is to be the new license as Lineage is exhausted and Blade & Soul is not catching on
It is said that NCSoft has now prioritized the development of Aion 2 higher because South Korean MMORPG players are getting tired of continuously playing new versions of Lineage. Additionally, Blade & Soul could not establish itself as a mobile title. The financial outlook for Throne and Liberty appears to be not very rosy according to NCSoft after the initial tests.
At NCSoft, they also believe that the release of the Mobile MMORPG “Lineage W” in 2021 has taken some wind out of the sails of Throne and Liberty.
Aion 2 is expected to be released in the best case in 2024, but at the latest in 2025 – it should be launched worldwide simultaneously in the West and Asia. The plan is to bring the game to PC and mobile platforms. NCSoft views Aion as a “not yet exhausted” IP.
The MMORPG is said to feature a large open world that is even bigger than that of Aion and will be developed with Unreal Engine 5.
Additionally, it is said that the MMORPG will support multiple languages.
The information is unconfirmed and should be taken with caution. However, they all sound plausible.
What could be off-putting? In South Korea, almost all new MMORPGs that are released for PC are also developed for mobile devices. This is off-putting at first for many players in the West, but it is clearly the direction that it will work for the foreseeable future.
In South Korea, it has become common to use a smartphone at home as a substitute PC.
“Pure PC and console games,” like the current Throne and Liberty from South Korea, are an exception. Additionally, as with all Asian MMORPGs, one should expect some peculiarities such as grind, gender lock, or an aggressive monetization system. Most Western MMORPG players are familiar with these peculiarities from games like Lost Ark or Black Desert.
It is interesting to note that players are gradually becoming tired of the “Lineage” franchise. NCSoft has consistently gone back to this well since the success of LineageM in recent years. Apparently, it is slowly running dry. This is also due to NCSoft licensing the “Lineage” license to Netmarble, which has also created successful mobile games based on Lineage.
The new “Throne and Liberty” is essentially Lineage 3.
The success prospects for Throne and Liberty indeed do not look too good. Many were looking forward to the MMORPG, but especially in the West, much hype has dissipated after some concerning news about the gameplay:
However, the streamer sees another problem with the Frenchwoman and dryly responds: “53 Pace” and adds an emoji with gray hair to his comment; referring to an older woman who has already somewhat lost her speed.
Therefore, HandOfBlood does not seem convinced by this solution approach. Apparently, he is focusing more on speed and accepting his corner weakness.
It remains to be seen whether the streamer will perhaps strengthen his team in central defense with a player of greater height.

The German streamer HandOfBlood has followed through on his announcements and built his starting team in EA FC 24 solely with women and confidently presented his team on X. However, in response to inquiries in his comments, he reports that the height and physique of his players are causing him problems.
What’s it about? Streamer and content creator HandOfBlood announced on Twitter that he wants to teach the “kids” a lesson who complain that there are women with strong cards in EA FC 24 Ultimate Team.
The day after his announcement, a tweet promptly followed featuring his first starter team, which consists solely of female players from front to back. However, HandOfBlood must admit that his team is not entirely well-balanced. You can see his team here.

HandOfBlood on EA FC 24: “Every corner is a goal against.”
The streamer initially appears confident in his post. “Now teenagers will be chopped up.” A reference to his previously mentioned plan to annoy younger players who speak out against women in Ultimate Team.
However, his mission is endangered due to a known weakness.
What is the problem with HandOfBlood’s team? The streamer admits upon request from another user that his team is very vulnerable to goals against from corners. “Every corner is a goal against xD So defense and goalkeeper are too small/ too little physique.” (via x.com).
The same user wishes Hänno luck that the promos and TOTW (Team of the Week) cards could solve this problem by making the female players stronger (via x.com).
You can already play the first promo if you secure the Early Access.
Other comments, however, give HandOfBlood less hope. User Stammovic21 writes: “The mix does it. CAM and offense are fine, but in defense and goal you definitely need physique and height.” (via x.com).
His community even has a fitting player for him to at least somewhat offset the physical deficits.
HandOfBlood’s community suggests one of the biggest players in FC 24
This player is supposed to eliminate the height deficit: Help for the defense problem follows in the comments with a very concrete solution proposal. DJMFaker suggests a player named Renard to be brought into the team. She is 1.87 m and plays for Lyon.
It remains to be seen whether the streamer will perhaps strengthen his team in central defense with a player of greater height.

The Warcraft guru Chris Metzen has a new position at Blizzard. He is more than just an advisor – he is once again steering the story.
In the development team around World of Warcraft, there are a few “legends” that are fondly remembered by the community. One of them is Chris Metzen, the godfather of the entire Warcraft franchise. He conceived much of the original story and was involved in the base game and many expansions, writing the narrative and many characters.
Due to mental health challenges and to spend more time with his family, he stepped back from his career a few years ago.
What has Chris Metzen done so far? Since around the end of Shadowlands, Chris Metzen had only an “advisory” role at Blizzard – at least on paper. He was supposed to help the team steer the story of World of Warcraft back onto different tracks, contribute ideas, and discuss them with the team.

What is his new job? As “Executive Creative Director” for the Warcraft universe, a full-time position, he is significantly more involved in the story process. Blizzard emphasizes that it concerns the entire Warcraft universe – likely including additional games, such as Hearthstone or the soon-to-be-released Warcraft Rumble (Mobile). Currently, Metzen is primarily active with the World of Warcraft team.
Blizzard has confirmed that Chris Metzen will likely be the spokesperson for the Warcraft team at the upcoming BlizzCon in November, to present “what’s been worked on recently” – every fan will understand that this can only pertain to the next expansion of World of Warcraft.
Apart from that, we hear Chris Metzen in the game – at least in the original English version. He is for example the voice of Thrall, but also that of Ragnaros and Nefarian.
For fans of the Warcraft franchise, the next BlizzCon is sure to be a true highlight again. Because Metzen and BlizzCon simply go together – and have always added significant excitement to the presentations.
Even beforehand, we reported that the next expansion will certainly bear Chris Metzen’s signature.

The new role-playing game Starfield and the Update 2.0 for Cyberpunk 2077 have been released just a few weeks apart. Some players have played both titles in succession and found that the Update 2.0 has changed their perspective on Bethesda’s sci-fi adventure.
Vehicle combat and a revised police AI are also part of the changes
Adjustments to UI, weapon balancing and more
All these changes elevate Cyberpunk 2077 to a more modern level. A player who played Update 2.0 right after Starfield says that he first realized how outdated Starfield is through Cyberpunk.
In a thread on the reddit forum he describes to other fans that he was actually quite excited to play Starfield. But Cyberpunk 2077 has now diminished his opinion of Starfield. For example, he finds that the female V has such a good voice acting that he wishes something like that for Starfield.
The following video shows you how pretty Cyberpunk 2077 looks:

Is this really Cyberpunk 2077? – 40 seconds that will convince you again of the game
How Starfield compares to Cyberpunk 2077
In the Cyberpunk community on reddit, there are numerous voices that agree with him. User Starfire013 writes, for example, that both titles have their right to exist. While Starfield plays like a title that could have been released 15 years ago, that is simply the principle of Bethesda. Starfield is more “comfort food”.
During the discussion, the role-playing game Baldur’s Gate 3 also comes up. Many players feel that Cyberpunk 2077 does not have to hide behind the RPG masterpiece. Both games have their own approaches and their own playstyle.
Cyberpunk 2077 and Baldur’s Gate 3 are a must-have for role-playing fans. In contrast, Starfield can be skipped without missing anything.
However, many users feel that the two games cannot be compared. MeinMMO has sought further voices from the community so that you can get a general picture of the overall sentiment:
mikereysalo: “I have spent more than 160 hours in CP2077, and I am reaching 118 hours in Starfield (and I still haven’t finished the main story questline) and I enjoy both games, they are completely different spectrums…”
betterdayz02: “Starfield was fun, Cyberpunk too, I hope this helps”
hunterz85: “Don’t forget that CDPR took 3 years to make CP2077 what it is today…, while Starfield has only been on the market for 3 weeks and is already in a great condition… both games are amazing. You should enjoy both!!!”
But there are also users who have a completely different opinion: Palanki96 writes, for example, that he would have sunk 150 hours into Starfield, while he didn’t even complete half of Cyberpunk 2077. He hopes that Update 2.0 and the DLC will change his mind.
