The extraction shooter ARC Raiders is slowly gearing up for its release, but before that, there’s one last server slam for everyone. When it starts and why you should participate, find out here.
What kind of stress test is this? Just before the release, the developers of Arc Raiders are hosting a so-called server slam. This is a free test where players can participate, and it puts the servers to their final test.
When does the stress test start? The server slam is scheduled to take place from October 17 to 19, 2025, and will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam & Epic Games).

Why should I participate? If you are interested in the game but are still uncertain whether you will really like the shooter, October is the right time for a final test. You can thoroughly check the game and test everything the shooter has to offer.
What kind of game is this? ARC Raiders is a small-scale extraction shooter. You will venture alone or as a squad into the borderlands (one of the medium-sized, predefined maps), gather everything you can find, and try to survive against nasty robots and hostile raiders to escape with your collected loot. Moreover, there is a crafting system that allows you to upgrade your equipment or create new items.
In contrast to its free competitor, Arena: Breakout Infinite, ARC Raiders will cost around €40 in the standard version. So if you want to participate at release, you’ll have to shell out some money.
Already during its first beta test, the shooter managed to convince many players, which is reflected on Steam under the most wished-for games. In the list, ARC: Raiders ranks 5th behind Battlefield 6, Subnautica 2, Light No Fire, and Deadlock.
Are there rewards for participating in the test? Yes, those who participate in the server slam will receive a cosmetic, limited backpack for their raider, which you can pick up and equip at release.
When is the release of Arc Raiders? The release of Arc Raiders is on October 30, 2025. You can pre-order the shooter starting September 22, 2025. You have the choice between the aforementioned standard edition for €40 or the deluxe edition, which comes with additional cosmetic goodies but costs €60.
It remains to be seen whether the servers will truly be pushed to their limits during the test, or if all shooter fans will be knee-deep in Battlefield 6 at the time of the test.
