The latest season of Diablo 4 is approaching, bringing new mechanics, balance updates, and Uniques. Each class will receive a new item, but one of the currently most powerful classes will get a rather weak item.
Which class are we talking about? Looking at the tier list of Diablo 4 for Season 10, you can see that each class has at least one S-tier build. Currently, the Druid is considered one of the strongest classes, which can be played in various ways.
The Druid benefits greatly from the Chaos Uniques in Season 10, which allow the desired Unique abilities to drop for other equipment slots, and from the new Unique Blackwing Kilt
. The Druid also benefits a lot from the Chaos advantages, particularly the Excessive Abundance
advantage, which is a true game changer for the class.
This mechanic is expected to disappear with Season 11. Overall, classes are supposed to become weaker, but the overall experience should still be more enjoyable. Druid mains must be strong in Season 11, as their new Unique is likely the weakest of the new items.
The comparatively weakest Unique of the new season
What kind of Unique is this? With Season 11, each class in Diablo 4 will receive a new Unique. The Druid will receive the boots Khasim Stepwalkers
with the following stats:
- Attacks reduce the cooldown of Escape by 0.5 seconds.
- +16.5–25.0% movement speed
- +41.5–55.0% loss of control duration
- 16–25% cooldown reduction for Nature Magic
- +2–3 for Bad Omen
- Aspect: If you deal damage to 200-100 enemies with storm skills, you will gain a charge. If you cast a defensive skill, you will receive maximum movement speed for 1 second per used charge and will be unhindered. While charged, enemies you run into will be incapacitated for 1 second.
The aspect of the Unique is not particularly strong. While the stun is nice, having to deal a lot of damage just to get one charge for 1 second is simply not worth it. The best part about the Unique is the cooldown reduction. Even against bosses, the aspect was rather useless on the test server, as described by a user in the Blizzard Forum. According to him, the Unique is also mechanically unappealing.
The Diablo expert wudijo (source: YouTube) also expresses his lack of enthusiasm about the effect.
How about the other classes and builds? The Diablo expert wudijo discusses his predictions for Season 11 in a YouTube video. According to him, the overall power level of the game
would decrease. He also mentions that the powerful Raven build of the Druid will not be as strong anymore because the Chaos Uniques will disappear.
He believes that the following builds will be promising for Season 11 (based on dungeon levels above 100):
- Spirit Born: Evade, Shattering Hand, Poison Skin, Retribution.
- Wizard: Crackling Energy.
- Necromancer: Looks quite promising according to wudijo; he specifically mentions the Shadow Plague build.
- Druid: Despite the absence of Chaos Uniques, the expert sees the Druid as quite strong, but this time with the Pulverize build, which performed well in Season 10.
Overall, wudijo believes that the Necromancer and Spirit Born will be the strongest classes in Season 11.
