To effectively use the bow in New World, you need arrows. These increase the damage you deal. How to craft the arrows will be revealed in this short guide.
How to craft arrows? To craft arrows, you need a workshop. In this, you can craft arrows, but for higher tiers, you also need a higher skill in engineering.
Right from the start, you can craft the simplest arrows from iron. To craft 100 of them, you need:
- 4x iron bars
- 2x building wood
- 3x feathers
With each higher tier, you still need the three feathers. However, the required metal and wood change:
- For 100 steel arrows, you need 3x steel bars and 2x raw wood. Additionally, you need a skill of 50 in engineering.
- For 100 star metal arrows, you need 2x star metal bars and 2x wyrd wood boards. For this, you already need a skill of 100 in engineering.
- For 100 orichalcum arrows, you need 1x orichalcum bar, 2x tropical wood boards, and a skill of 150 in engineering.
The bow works even without arrows, but you lose damage
Do you have to craft arrows for the bow? No. The bow shoots even if you don’t have arrows. Then you deal the normal 100% of the damage. However, the arrows increase the damage dealt slightly.
The iron arrows deal 105% of the normal damage, while the orichalcum arrows deal even 120%. So, if you want to play effectively with the bow, you should regularly replenish the arrows.
Where is the bow used? The bow can be effectively used in both PvE and PvP. In our tier list of all weapons, it ranks A-Tier in PvE and even S-Tier in PvP. Especially in the outpost rush, the bow is often used.
Axe and bow are also a good combo for newcomers. More about these two weapons and other beginner builds can be found here:
