Build with Rapier and Musket
Why play this combo? The rapier is one of the strongest weapons in the game because its fast attacks cause high damage in a short time. The musket, on the other hand, is one of the best ranged weapons for reducing your victim’s health points to a near-fatal level before they get within melee range.
The great thing about both weapons is that they use Dexterity as their main attribute. Accordingly, you can also sink all your attribute points into this.
How do I distribute the attributes? The focus of the build is clearly on the Dexterity attribute, in which you should invest fully. You can then distribute the remaining points either to Strength or Constitution, depending on whether you want more survivability or more damage.
Which skills do I use with the Rapier?
- Flurry
- Tondo
- Flourish and Finish
Since the goal of this rapier combo is to reduce your wounded victim’s remaining health points to zero as quickly as possible, we recommend focusing on the weapon’s Blood tree.
First, use Tondo to inflict the bleeding effect on your target. Then follow up with Flurry to build up more bleeding stacks and prolong the effects. Finally, use Flourish and Finish to finish off your enemy.
Improve these three abilities with the following talents. Passive Blood skills such as “Unerring” and “Light Edge” provide additional damage increases.
Which skills do I use with the Musket?
- Powder Burn
- Sharpshooter Stance
- Traps
“Powder Burn” sets enemies on fire, and the passive effect causes you to deal 12% more damage to burning targets. Then it’s time to fire as many shots as possible as quickly as possible. “Shooting Stance” helps with this.
In the Marksman skill tree, you’ll also find the passive effects “Empowering Headshot” for additional damage after a headshot and “Optimal Range” for more damage to distant targets.
From the Trapper tree, you should focus on the passive effects “Tactical Reload,” which allows you to reload every six seconds without having to reload immediately, and “Follow Up” for extra damage to targets affected by a CC effect..
What does the equipment look like? During the leveling process, you are of course dependent on the equipment dropped by enemies. However, you should make sure that it gives you bonuses to Dexterity and Constitution or Dexterity and Intelligence.
When it comes to armor weight, lighter armor is generally more fun because you are more mobile overall. However, if you have problems surviving, you can also opt for heavier armor.
What does the skill rotation look like? Before the fight, use the “Powder Burn” ability to set the enemies on fire with the first hit. Open the fight with a heavy attack and then switch to “Shooting Stance.” After a few hits, the enemies will have reached you.
Greet them with “Circular Shot” for bleeding, “Slash Flurry,” and finally follow up with the “Swing and Deathblow” combo.
